Best Wealth 2025 New Year’s Resolution Ever

I promise you that this is the most powerful New Year's resolution you've ever heard. I want you to take your 10-year goal and try to accomplish it in the next six months. Sounds crazy? Let me explain.

By the way, this is not my idea. I read this. This was an Elon Musk quote. I don't know if he was quoting somebody else. Take your 10-year goal this year and shrink it down and try to accomplish it in six months. Even if you don't pull it off, the discipline, the ambition, the progress you will make will be worth it.

It sounds like a crazy goal. It was funny, I was talking to somebody and I said, "I got these two guys in my Private Client program." A lot of entrepreneurs come to me and like, I coach them privately. And two years ago, these two guys, their tax return zero, they made made no money, no money, okay? This year, they did over $300 million with their company in two years from zero. Over and and that's not even the crazy thing. They did close almost 50 million profit.

I don't want to give away too much detail, but there's an example where somebody was trying, trying, trying, it wasn't working, and all of a sudden it worked quickly. So this concept sounds insane to people. "Ty, how could your 10-year goal?" So you take what net worth you want to have 10 years from now and you try to pull it off six months from now. Again, people go, "That's insane."

The reason it's a 10-year goal is it's probably something that's hard. Yes, but realize the world we live in now is moving so fast that it's not just rewarding who's the best at something. It's rewarding the first person to get the the finish line, even if their product isn't quite as good. Mark Zuckerberg, who's the only man in modern history, and maybe ever, to be worth a hundred billion dollars at age 37. So we look at people's wealth, you got to adjust it by age. Would you rather have 100 billion at 37 or 100 billion at 75? Money loses utility, usefulness, as you age.

So he pulled off something that nobody's ever really done besides people who inherited their money, royalty. You can't find anyone really in history, maybe Genghis Khan, Napoleon Bonaparte, but if we take the people who had an army, nobody's done it. And he said, "Move so fast that you break things." He said in his company, he wanted essentially controlled chaos. Move so fast you break things.

The problem is the school system taught all of us that the way to do things is if you want to be rewarded by your school teacher from first grade, second grade on, pat you on the back, you did well on your test, and they held everything equal. All the students took the test on the same Wednesday. But that's not how the real world is. The real world world is you could have the best product, but if somebody's better at marketing, if somebody's faster to come to the market, they win, not you. It's not that game that's fair, like school tries to control and say, "Well, okay, our exam here is everybody has till May." So if you're faster, you get no reward. So you might as well go and study, study, study, perfectionist, take all your pre-mentoring, tutoring, all the things. But that's that's how the real world is.

Some people say making money, creating wealth, is like chess. Yes and no. It's like speed chess. My one of my my step-grandfather was a chess master and he was good, but he liked to play slow. He didn't like to play by the clock. I always tried to play. I started playing chess round two, moving the pieces, you know, I didn't actually know what I was doing at that age, but I like speed chess because it replicates life.

If you want wealth, the most powerful New Year's resolution for this year is take your 10-year wealth goal and shrink it down and try to pull it off in six months. Once again, you probably won't. Although I've seen people do it in two years, build a 100 million net worth from zero. That example I gave earlier, they're net worth easily is 100 mil a piece, and by the way, they're under 25. That's how the world works.

200 years ago, and this is why people watching this video will be cynical, 200 years ago, 100 years ago, even 50 years ago, nobody was wealthy who wasn't old. Nobody. You know how much it cost to start a company? Even in the 1990s, Jeff Bezos disclosed to start Amazon, he had to borrow over $200,000 from his family, and he had to use all of it just to launch a website. Now you can launch a website on Shopify, on WordPress, for sub $1.

So the game has switched now from the old school game where there was a big barrier to entry, it was very hard, to where it's easy to start. But the downside is that means you have millions of competitors, millions. You want to build your personal brand wherever you want your personal brand to be in 10 years, you better try to pull it off for the next six months. You want to do dropshipping? Oh God, help you. Whatever you want to make from dropshipping or e-commerce over the next 10 years, you better try to pull it off in six months.

Now, what do I mean? I just want to be clear. I don't actually mean you need to act that way. So what would you be acting like? What would the daily routine be this year? What would the discipline be? Who would you listen to? Who would your social group be? What time would you go to bed? What time would you wake up? What would you be reading? Who would you be listening to in terms of mentorship or advising? Who would would be in your company? What would your marketing look like? How would you manage the social media?

So right now, let's say your goal, you're watching your wealth goal, your New Year's resolution is 10 years from now, you would like to be worth $50 million, let's just say. And let's say you're at zero now, or you're at 5 million now. So you got a 45 million more to go. Well, right now, begin to act as if you have that $50 million wealth. So that means you have a larger company, more valuable company. Most wealth is created through businesses. So what would you be like? Well, how would you act? How would you dress? What time would you go? Would you have an office, or you still be working from home? Would you be the CEO, or would you have brought in other smart people around you? What would your social media campaigns look like? How often would you go to conferences and seminars? What would your lawyers be like? Your financial advisors? What would your library look like? Would you wear a suit? All those things you can do overnight. You can start those this week.

I know some of you, cuz I know my audience, some of you are like, "Ty, in 10 years I'm going to be a billionaire." Okay, how does a billionaire act? And you might say, "Ty, I don't know." Well, you got research to do. This is going to be a shorter video because it's for New Year's, and I could record a really long video and say, blah, blah, blah, and let me explain to you the answers. But no, this is a different one. You do the research. I've given you the most important step of all, and that is you need to take whatever you want your wealth to be in 10 years, try to pull it off in six months. But in the next six minutes, start acting that way.

Would you scroll? Would you doom scroll through Instagram as much if right now, during this six months, you were going to go from five or from zero to 50 million net worth or to a billion? I bet you wouldn't. You'd be too busy. So start acting that way, even though you aren't busy. Would you still listen to the same people you listen to? Would you have some of the bad habits you have? Would you be irregular with your sleep? Would you work out a little bit? Would you eat a little better? Who would you surround yourself with? Steve Jobs, he famously said, "The first 10 people you hire will determine everything your future." So who would you be hiring? Where would you find them? What do those people people hang out? First 10 people. He said, "I only hire A talent, not B talent." So are you? Is your life full of B and C players?

Well, since you're going to take this New Year's resolution and put it in place, not just in six months, but you're going to start acting that way within six minutes of ending this video, then it's like, well, okay, why don't I just do it now? What's the way? It's weird. I, I've, have you ever seen that movie? It's like Jamie Fox and Tom Cruise, forget what it's called, Collateral or something, and Jamie Fox is this limousine driver, and he keeps a little picture where he's going to start this business, some kind of, I forget what it was, tropical vacation. And he just says to Tom Cruise, he's like, "Yeah, man, once I save up a little money, I'm going to start being like this guy." This is the future version of me. And at some point, Tom Cruise is like, "How long you had that dream?" And the guy's like, "Oh, decades." You know, it's never going to happen.

The reason you want to take your 10-year goal and shrink it down to six months is simply because long goals rarely happen. Just imagine had a friend who's super overweight and says, "Well, my 10-year goal is to get in shape by then." You might be dead of a heart attack by then. You probably have given up by then. You have severe uh consequences of being morbidly obese in that situation. So why don't you? You got to say to that guy, "Why don't you try to pull it off in six months?" And simultaneously, in the next six minutes, what would your life be like if you were no longer morbidly obese? That's the analogy that applies to make money. A lot of people are morbidly obese in their brain. They're morbidly poor. They have a poverty mentality, right? They have a lot of limiting beliefs.

So one thing I will tell you, shadow somebody who's created wealth. If you live in a little town in Omaha, Nebraska, now you got some big billionaires there, you got Warren Buffett. But find somebody, you want to do real estate, you want to do e-commerce, find somebody who's where you want to be in 10 years and be like, "Yo, can I shadow you?" It's funny, a friend of mine, Jeremy, took this advice. Went to high school together. He went on, became an engineer, was building for the military. I don't know what he was engineering for the Navy. But he said to me, this is, I don't know, six, seven years ago, he's like, "Ty, I want to start my own brewery." Like alcohol, beer. And I, he's like, "What's the best advice?" I said, "You need to shadow somebody who already has one." And I'm so used to most people don't listen to good advice. But years later, he just called me, he's like, "Oh, I got my breweries, they're all profitable. Thanks for the advice." That's what I did. He's like, "I was pretty busy working as an engineer, but I had told him like once or twice a month on a Saturday, just show up at a brewery. Call him ahead of time, be like, 'Yo, one day I want to have my own brewery. I'll work for you for free. I'll help do all the normal menial stuff, the manual labor, whatever, just let me shadow you as the owner of this brewery.'" And he said he did that for like six months. It cut his learning curve. Cuz when you learn from other people, you don't have to make the same mistakes. You know, you cut your learning curve.

Like Richard Dawkins, the most famous scientist who wrote The Selfish Gene, probably, they say it's the bestselling scientific book of all time, pop to the popular, you know, pop culture book. And he says, "Organisms that can simulate the future beat organisms that only learn through trial and error because trial is costly and error is deadly." So what he did is he didn't say, "I'm going to learn this business by trial and error." He said, "I'm going to shadow somebody, work with them privately, behind the scenes." And he did, and he has a multi-million dollar brewery. And more importantly, he loves his life. He's like traveling all around the world, tasting beers, and all this stuff. You know, it's not my cup of tea, but it's his.

So I would encourage you, shadow somebody locally. For those a little more advanced, I have a private client program. I'll put my phone number. I care two phones with me, my personal one, and I this one that I'm recording on is my business one. But I'll put my number. Text or WhatsApp. WhatsApp's better if you want to work with me privately where I coach you. I've got a private client program. I've been doing it since 2013. For those of you that are more beginners, this is really needs to be, if you're already doing 5 million or more. If you're watching this video and you're already doing 5 million or more with your business, 5 million to 300 million, text me, okay? Just put "6 months" in the text. I'll know. I'll remember what this video is about. Just put "six months." Shrink 10 years into six months.

For those of you not yet doing 5 million, I would encourage you to find somebody locally. That's what I did. I found a guy named Mike Stainback, and I was sleeping on a couch in Clayton, North Carolina. I went and found him. It was an insurance guy. It was a millionaire. And I was like, "Can I work for you?" I told this story in my, he in my garage video, so you know, I when I had no money, I found somebody local. For those of you already doing 5 million plus, you might be the best local person. So if you want me to help you, and if I'm not a good fit, I'll refer you to other people. I I'm pretty busy with private client, but I enjoy doing it. I've been doing it for a 12 year. So if you're interested, text me the word "6 months" and I'll know what it means from this video. You can add something else if WhatsApp is even better.

For those of you not yet doing 5 million or more, don't worry. You need a local person, in person, that you can shadow. You want to be in the restaurant business, you want to be in the food business, you want to e-commerce, you want to be in real estate, anything, even personal brand. Go shadow somebody who has a personal brand locally. Once you hit bigger numbers, like now, I have mentors that live all around the world. Been in business with three guys on the Forbes list. They're not practically, they're not always with me in person, so. That's why I say if you're at 5 million, text me. If you're not, I'm not trying to push away or be, you know, arrogant and say you're not worthy of me. That's not at all what I'm saying. I'm just saying you need a local person because you need that hands-on man.

And remember, they don't have to be billionaires. Like I started with a dude that was probably worth a couple mil. That was a lot of money for me. I graduated high school sleeping on a couch in Clayton, North Carolina. I graduated high school. Same thing, mobile home. Man, my my buddy Josh Stall, one of my good buddies, he had the other mobile home park. We used to go play basketball. I grew up around that world. So when I met the first guy, and it was like, "Oh, Mike Stack, this dude's got a million or two." I don't know what his net worth was. It was like, this was huge for me. And I worked with him local. I remember where his office was, Plaza Place, near Crabtree Valley Mall in North Carolina. And I still drive by there sometimes. Like, man, shadowing that guy changed my life. Took me within nine months, I was at 8 to 12,000 on autopilot, which was a lot of money for me. Okay? You know, now I've gone on, I've done a billion or more in, you know, my companies and revenue and stuff. But do not despise humble beginnings. So if you're a beginner, don't despise where you're at. Get someone local.

If you're already doing 5 million or more, WhatsApp me or text me. But whatever you do, don't go slow towards your goals. As the famous, you know, ancient saying goes, "Fortune favors the bold." But I thought about it and I was like, that was from 2,000 years ago. I think fortune favors the fast. It's a little different. Fortune favors the fast. Now, you can go too fast, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying you should go ridiculously fast and cut corners. I'm saying fortune favors people who act fast and act as if they don't have 10 years because you never know when that day calls. You never know when that Grim Reaper calls. You never know, as uh, the ancient says, fate is a fickle mistress. You never know when it's your time.

So if you're watching this, you're healthy, but you've been a little lazy, or you're healthy and you've been a little procrastinated, you're healthy and you haven't been ambitious enough, you're healthy, but you've been too much of a perfectionist so you're paralyzed. Remember what the only man to be worth a hundred bills self-made under 37, Mark Zuckerberg, says, "Move so fast things start to break." I always say, when you're doing that, then you got to embrace the chaos. Because people will go, "Well, you're trying this business and that one, you're shutting this down." That looks weird. It only looks weird to people who don't know what they're talking about. When it comes to money, the middle-class life, which I've lived, the lower-class income, I call the lower income, maybe we shouldn't say lower class, but I lived that too. And um, what looked normal there wasn't normal. If you really want to make money, move so fast the things are breaking. They're a little bit chaotic. Fortune favors the fast.

All right, what did I miss? What's a better resolution than this? Leave a a comment or text me. Talk soon.
