God, God didn't design the church to be stagnant. God didn't design the church to stand still. He, he, in fact, he told us we've got to do both. He said, "You got to stand still and move forward at the same time." Sometimes you got to take, take the time to stand still long enough to know that God's in control, and then just keep moving forward. And so, I'm thankful to be a part of a moving church. The Bible didn't type us to a lake, it typed us to a river. Hallelujah. You don't want to drink from a lake, you don't want to drink stagnant water. But I'm thankful to be a part of a moving, flowing, spirit-led church. Hallelujah. Are you thankful for that today? And it's so, so good to be home. Hallelujah. Is that the way you feel today? While you're standing, I want to go to the word. Let's go to Genesis chapter 10 and verse 8. Genesis, the 10th chapter and the 8th verse for your consideration today. And I want to, I do want to say that for this teaching series that I've been doing for the last six or seven weeks, Wednesday, or I'm sorry, Tuesday night of this past week, Shadow and Substance is probably the key to all of the rest, the rest of the lessons. So if you are not here Tuesday night, please make sure that you go on, um, wherever they've got it posted on several different locations and view or listen to Tuesday night because it's kind of a key to all the rest of the lessons. Genesis chapter 10 and verse 8. And Cush begat Nimrod. He began to be a mighty one in the earth. Verse 9, we're going to read through verse 10. He was a mighty hunter before the Lord. Wherefore it is said, even as Nimrod, the mighty hunter before the Lord. Verse 10, and the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. God bless you. You may be seated. I want to speak to you for a few minutes from one simple word, and that word is Babylon. Babylon. I want to talk to you about Babylon, who whose original name was Babel, and who the Bible says will be the name of the last kingdom of the earth. Now, the last kingdom of the earth will not, not be named Babylon, except by God, because Babylon, again, Babel of the Old Testament, was a shadow of the substance of the last day. Babel only existed in the way and manner in which it existed so that we could know what the last kingdom was going to look like. So the Babel, the Babel of Genesis, was a shadow of the substance of the last day resistance against God, because that's what Babel was, was a city built in resistance against God's authority. So, are you, are you following me up till now? Y'all with me? So Nimrod, who was the great-grandson of Noah, something got in his heart. And when the Bible says that he was a great hunter before the Lord, again, we're talking about a Bible written in 16, or translated in 1611, and so you've got to understand what the word "before" meant there. And I believe there's several ways that you can identify the word "before" in its original 1611 Old English text, and that is to say, he was a hunter before he was a worshiper of God. Hunting was more important to him than worshiping God. The other connotation of "before" there, uh, is the same way we would say, "in your face." He was in his, in God's face with his hunting. In other words, I don't want to serve You, I want to hunt. And so it became, it became a thing between Nimrod and God until Nimrod went out as though it were from the presence of the Lord. And Nimrod set himself in array against God to build his own kingdom. And why did all this happen? Why did all this take place? Well, all of this took place so that we would have a reference to what Babylon meant in the last day, because God will shortly make much ado about Babylon. In the book of Revelation, Babylon becomes the go-to spirit, the identification, identifying spirit of the resistance against God that will bring about the ends of the earth. And so, uh, Babylon, why, why, why would God, my subject for the next few minutes is going to be a question, why would God pick Babylon out and say, Babylon will be the spirit of the last day? Why not Rome? When this, this, when Revelation was written, around the time that Revelation was penned, Rome was the great power in the earth. Why not use Rome? Because Rome did not have the identifying earmarks. Why not, why not Corinth? Corinth was the most wicked city of the New Testament. It was a cesspool of immorality. Why not Egypt? Egypt is the country that was, I always identified as the enemy of the church, as the enemy of the, of the people of God. Because Babylon more identifies the enemy of God, not just the enemy of His people. Y'all with me here? Why not Sodom and Gomorrah? It was overrun with the spirit of homosexuality. It was, because Babylon held all the earmarks of what the last day church, or the, I'm sorry, the last day enemy of God is going to look like, in which the church is couched. So the church will be couched in a world system, listen to me, that is not necessarily declared war on the church, but has declared war on God. The church only becomes the bystander in the hit and run. The spirit of ancient Babylon is the spirit of the last days. There's a showdown coming. And I've told you that from the beginning of this teaching, that this thing is just bigger, is bigger than you just wanting to go a few places and dress a certain way. You see, for most people, they just want to, they just want to kind of fit in with the world and their dress, and they would like to involve themselves, they just like to enjoy some morally entertainment. And what they do not realize is there's a bigger war than that going on. You're kind of, you're kind of like a little boy that would like to get himself a sword and put on a helmet. He'd like to swing the sword a little bit, failing to realize he's about to involve himself in a deadly, bloody war. You're not seeing the bigger picture. And that's that you're one puzzle piece in a grander picture. You don't realize it, but you're doing more than just enjoying some worldly entertainment and wearing some clothes that make you fit in with the world around you. You're choosing sides in a war. And so the day's coming that the, the city of Babylon, what is the city of Babylon? Well, it's more than a city. It's all in the world that have made a choice not to choose sides with God. That is why "Come out and be separate" is more than just a command, it is a battle cry. You, you really gotta understand that "Come out and be separate" is more than a commandment, it is a battle cry. Choose this day whom you're going to serve, because no man can serve God and the world. You can't be on both sides. You got to choose a side. And lack of decision becomes a decision. And lack of a decision always puts you on the wrong side. And so, let's give a little bit, a little bit of history of Nimrod, since I'm running out of time here. Nimrod is the great-grandson of Noah. He is the grandson of Ham. And for whatever reason, he, he tells God, he snubs his nose at God and said, "I'm going to be my own God." And that's exactly what he decided to do. Until, until Nimrod, most people dwelled in the countryside. They had a little farm, they had a little farm, and they raised sheep, and they lived on land. And Nimrod had another vision. Nimrod was a city builder. And it was more than just building a city. What the people did not realize whenever he built the city and invited them to come to his city is he intended on making a very communistic, socialistic society. Nimrod was the first ruler of a communist government built on the plan of socialism. History says of Nimrod that he was an extremely violent man, bent on dominating and ruling over the lives of others in direct defiance to their God. Nimrod had visions of becoming their God, ultimate and complete control, forcing his inhabitants to choose between government or God. Nimrod began to be a mighty man of sin, murder, event, murderer of innocent men. Here's what Josephus, the historian, said: "First of all, Nimrod changed the contented moderation of the ancient manners, incited by a new passion and the desire to conquest. He was the first to carry on war against all of his neighbors until he conquered all nations from Assyria to Libya, as they were yet unacquainted with the arts of war." Justin, the early Christian martyr, said the following about Nimrod: "Having subdued, therefore, his neighbors, when by accession of forces being still further strengthened, he went forth against all of the tribes ever knew victory paved the way for the other until him subdued all the people of the East with the ultimate desire to rule the world." Until this time, men had been content to live on farms. Nimrod chose to build the world's first city in the fertile valley of Mesopotamia. Here's what the Bible quotes Nimrod as saying: "Come, let us build a city for ourselves and make a name for ourselves, a tower whose top will reach into the heavens, and let us make for ourselves a name, lest we be scattered abroad on the whole earth." Genesis 11 and 4. Until God came down to see what Nimrod was doing. You're doing some wicked stuff. When God leaves heaven to check you out, that's what your Bible says. He came. Historians say that Nimrod, Nimrod's desire was to build a tower so high that the next flood would not eclipse it. He wanted to be so high that he could go in the top of that tower and survive the next flood that God sent the earth. His desire was to build a temple on the top because they believed that the demonic spirits that they worshipped caused the stars to move and the stars to twinkle, and they went to observe the stars because they felt that watching the stars upon what, upon whom's face the demons dwelt, that they could foretell the future of all modern men. He gradually changed the government to a government of tyranny. He did not want people to work and earn livings for themselves, but he wanted them to lean on him to supply their needs, that he might through that become their God. He wanted him to bring them, he wanted to bring them into constant dependency upon his power. He said that when he got them all to serve him, he would revenge himself of God, as he was still angry at God for drowning his forefathers. That was his desire to build a tower too high for the waters of the world and a flood to destroy it. I don't have time to go into all this, but Nimrod's desire was to create his own religion. That's, that's what he did. He was the first ruler to bring pantheism into being, the worship of numerous gods. All other kingdoms would follow Nimrod's plan, which proves that Nimrod was not as much a great leader as he was a great follower of demons and spirits. The same spirits would arise in Egypt, the same spirits would arise in Rome and Greece, and all other nations that arrayed themselves against God. The remarkable complex deities that brought about astrology, spiritism, mythology, polytheistic idolatry, and evolutionary pantheism has masked itself and been pseudoscientific humanistic speculation in every country that arrayed itself against God, which showed that Nimrod, again, was not a great leader, he was a great follower of the demons that are ultimately going to wage war against God. And that is why Nimrod is a socialistic, communistic leader, the first one to rule the world. It's amazing that his great powerhouse and kingdom would have the same name as the last kingdom of this earth in the book of Revelation. Am I boring y'all? Are y'all just listening real good? Are you bored? And so, let's look at a few scriptures here before I go any further. Let's look at, uh, Revelation chapter 9 and verse 21. Revelation chapter 9 and verse 21. For a very interesting passage of scripture. Revelation chapter 9 and verse 21. While they're turning there, I want you to know that the host of heaven, the host of heaven, literally means the army of the sky, the army of the sky. And the zodiac is literally trying to, trying to usher in or bring into play the army of the sky. Let's back up to verse 20 and see if we can get a little bit of idea of what's going on here. Revelation nine, I believe, is the fifth, the fifth outpouring, the fifth outpouring of vials and bowls of destruction upon the earth. It says, "And the rest of men, which were not killed by these plagues, yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, of wood, which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk." Stop right there. Stop right there at verse 20. Basically, what this is saying is, is that the inhabitants of the earth were so caught up in getting rich and having worldly goods, that no devastation that God rained upon the earth caused them to turn from that one plan. If you want to get rich so bad, if you want to get wealth and have wealth and possess wealth so bad, that no matter what happens on this earth, you don't get deterred from that, what on earth is going to make you make God and the church number one in your life? Please awaken out of your sleep. Verse 21. "Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts." This brings the next subject that I'm going to go into for just a few minutes before I start my, my clothes. But two things are going to characterize, two things throughout the book of Revelation. This is what I'm telling you right now. Two things throughout the book of Revelation is going to characterize the seed problems that creates all the, all the rest of the sins in the last day kingdom. Two things you're going to see over and over and over again: sexual sins, sexual sins, and sorceries. Over and over and over. God's going to condemn the last kingdom for sexual sins and sorceries. Okay? This is, it's very important that you understand that for those of you that think that fornication, adultery, pornography, is just play things, and, and you know, we just, you know, we just, some people just have a problem in those areas. It's bigger than that, folks. It is the main sin that's going to create all of the other problems that bring the ends of the earth. Okay? So we, we've got to talk about that because we're going to find out where it came from. So Nimrod picks out one of his concubines, and he don't marry her, he just makes her the queen. Her name is, her name is Semiramis. And Semiramis was, well, she was a, that's what she was. There's no easy way to put it. And when Semiramis died, when, when Nimrod died, Semiramis became the ruler of Babylon. And when she became the ruler of Babylon, she plunged Babylon into even deeper debauchery against God, because Semiramis, one of the first things she did after Nimrod died was she was with child. And everyone knew that Nimrod had been dead too long. And so she concocted a story that Nimrod had came back from the dead and impregnated her. The son's name was Tammuz. And every following culture, listen to me, Egypt, Greece, Rome, every following culture that arrayed themselves against God had a king, a queen, and a son, a prince. And while they used different names, every one of them had the same legend. And it was nothing more than Lucifer trying to take away from the miraculous birth that was coming of Jesus Christ. Now, I don't have time to get into Semiramis, except to say that Semiramis brought in the idea of a woman selling herself on the street. She's the one that started prostitution, and she started it in the temples. This is the adult class, so I'll just tell you, the women set scantily clad, covered their face with a veil where their face could not be seen. The only thing that could be seen was their scantily clad bodies. And when a man came in and chose them, he had to put a gift upon the altar. And when he put his gift of gold and silver and pearls and all that on the altar, he could choose the woman that he wanted, and she would sell herself for the gold and the silver and the gifts that was placed upon the altar. And so the scantily clad woman whose face did not matter, listen to me, is the spirit of any kingdom that arrays itself against God. A woman dressing the way she wants to dress does not give her power and accustom, in a custom and a culture, it degrades her to nothing more than an object to be bought and sold. God lifts a woman up as to be respected for her mind and her spirit, and the Proverbs 31 woman, and the works of her hands, and the craftiness of her hands. While all kingdoms that array themselves against God reduce her to a sub, to a sexual object that's to be bought and sold for the pleasure of men. And so when you run around town naked, your face don't matter anymore. You objectify yourself. And it's the spirit of the last kingdom. And when a woman smartly dresses herself and covers her sexuality up and shows and reveals the beauty of her face, she is opposing the Babylon kingdom. Now, now, this is very interesting. Could we put Revelation 9:21 back on the screen? "Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor their fornication, nor of their thefts." There's some things going on here. There's sexual sin, there's theft, there's murder, and there's sorceries. The word "sorceries" there, if you take it back to the original Greek word, the original Greek word is pharmacia, and the meaning of the word is drugs. Isn't it amazing that 2,000 years ago, God knew what our problems was going to be? Murder, drugs, sexual sin, and thefts. Now, I don't have time today to establish this further, but right here, he's not speaking to the people, he's speaking to the government leaders, because this is a government called Babylon that is arrayed itself against God. And the people have just become pawns in the hands of the government. They've been forced to choose whether they're going to serve the government or whether they're going to serve God. That is what the Antichrist is going to take over a world power that says, "Choose whether you're going to obey us or whether you're going to obey your God, because you can't obey both." Bow or burn. Where did that happen before? Do you, have you, you know, Egypt never forced anybody to worship their God. That's why it can't be the kingdom of the last day. Rome never forced Israel to worship the gods of Rome. Greece never forced the Christians to worship the gods of Greece. Are y'all there? The only kingdom that ever forced the inhabitants to worship their God was Babylon. Three Hebrew boys was told in, where Babylon, "Bow to our God or you're going to be cast in the fiery furnace." Daniel was told, "Don't pray to your God." And so out of all the kingdoms that opposed God's people, only one kingdom is chosen out and says, "The spirit of the last day government is going to be the spirit of Babylon."
It's going to be tyrannical. It's going to be a tyrannical government. They're going to take you over. They're going to control you. They're going to become your God. They're going to supply your food or cut your food off. And he said, "Here's, here's your deal." The reason that God's going to destroy this earth is because they won't repent. No matter what I do, they still won't repent of their murders, of their sorceries. That word "sorceries" there is drugs, folks. That's the first meaning is pharmacia. Let's go to, let's go to chapter 18 before I run out of time. Romans chapter, I'm sorry, Revelation chapter 18. This is amazing. Revelation chapter 18. And let's look at, let's look at about verse 20. Revelation 18. Let's start reading verse 20. Because in, in, in this passage, you're going to get the understanding that he's referring. "Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her." Who's he talking about? Who is her? Her, folks, is Babylon. Read on. Who is Babylon? It's the government of the last day. And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and cast it in the sea, saying, "Thus with violence shall the great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all." I'm going to destroy Babylon. Who is Babylon? It's the ruling government of that day. Verse 22, or should I say, our day. "And the voice of the harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and of trumpeters shall be heard no more at all in thee." And no craftsman. What's he saying? He's saying when I destroy it, the dancing's going to be over, the music's going to be over, the party's going to be over. The craftsmen are going to stop. They're not going to be building houses. I'm going to stop the, what did he say in the last days? He said, "In the last days, they're going to be planting, building, they're going to be marrying, giving in marriage, partying." They're going to do it until the day, until what day? "This day shall be no more found in her." The sound of a millstone. What's a millstone? It grinds the meal that you eat. There's going to be a famine. "It shall be heard no more at all in thee." Verse 23, "And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all." And then the voice of the bridegroom and the bride shall be heard no more at all. And there's not going to be more marrying, for the merchants. Who are the merchants? The merchants are the people that run the government, folks. They're the people that run the governments. They're the people with one idea, and that was Nimrod's idea: "I'm going to take over every country around me until I rule the whole world." It's the, the, it's the group of people, whatever you want to call them, the Illuminati, the Royal Road Scholars, whatever you want to call them, it's the people with a desire to rule, not just America, but the world. "The merchants were the great men of the earth, for by what? By drugs." You don't believe me? So let's put up our first slide. Y'all got it back there? Don't scare me. Verse 23. Can y'all see it from there? This is Strong's Concordance of the Bible. Verse 23, "And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee." See, these, these, these numbers right here are the Strong's Concordance numbers where you can go back to the original Greek word and find out what the meaning is. "And the voice of the bridegroom and the bride shall be heard no more." You don't realize how long the screen is to start walking back and forth. "Thy sorceries." So you take G5331, and you go and find out what sorceries was, what was the original Greek word there when this was written? Not in 1611, 1611 was the translation, but when it was written, somewhere around 80 AD. Let's put it up there. Slide 2. There's the Greek word, pharmakeia, pronounced pharmakeia. Definition: medication, pharmacy, that is, magic, literally or figuratively, sorcery, witchcraft. The first definition, the first definition is always the strongest, thereby possibly being the most accurate. So then you can actually click again on G5332 for a more extensive definition of the word. So that's my third slide. Definition: a drug that is a spell-giving potion, a druggist, a pharmacist or poisoner, that is, by extension, a magician, sorcerer. He said, "I picked up a stone and I threw it because their merchants were murdering them by sorcery." You know, I'll let that, I'll let y'all do what y'all want to with that. I'm saying nothing else. You let that mean what you want that to mean to you. But now that you've seen all that, let's go back and read it again. Let's go back, let's get out of Strong's Concordance, get out of the slides, go back to Revelation, and let's read from 20 to 24. "Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her." He's avenged you of Babylon. "And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, 'Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon.'" What's he saying here? He's saying, "I'm coming to destroy you in the battle of Armageddon." That's what he's saying. "This great city of Babylon thrown down, and shall be found no more at all." Verse 22, "The voice of the harpers, the musicians, and of pipers, and of trumpeters shall be heard no more at all in thee." And no craftsman. In other words, everything's going to end. You're not going to be building houses anymore. You're not going to be marrying your children anymore. The party's over. Verse 23, "And the light of a candle shall shine no more." He's going to turn the power off. And the bride and bridegroom, no more getting married. Why? Because "thy merchants were the great men of the earth." The rulers of the earth. The people who had gotten in control of your governments. They, for, for, by sorceries, pharmaceuticals. Hmm. "Deceive the nations." Anybody feel deceived? Verse 24, "And in her was found the blood of the prophets, and of all the saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth." The merchants are the great people that's in control of the earth. Are going to kill everybody. And the blood of the prophets and the saints and the inhabitants of the earth is going to be on their hands. And God's going to destroy the merchants. In verse 23, he says, "The way they're going to do it is by sorceries." And the first meaning of that word is pharmaceuticals. Now, you do whatever you want to with that. If you want to ignore it, ignore it. You're a great American with all the rights that you, you got all the rights of a great American here for another few weeks. So for the next few weeks, you're a free American until Marxism actually takes over. So you can make that mean whatever you want it to. I just know this. I know drugs are being mandated. I know drugs are killing our children as they flow across our southern border. And I know that sex and drugs and money and power now drives all the murder and the theft that this world has ever seen. At the back of all murder and theft is sex and drugs. And God saw it coming 2,000 years ago. And he says, "I'm going to tell you, the time's going to come that I'm going to destroy the merchants of this world." And then he goes on and says, "Who the merchants are, the great men of the world." "I'm going to destroy them because they deceive my people through sorceries." And that's what's ultimately, that passage is what's ultimately going to bring the great battle of Armageddon.
