It is June bug, and today we are going to be doing a tutorial for David's song called Here With Me. I love this song. Sounds so good. I love the lyrics. I love how simple it is, well, how simple of a song it is, but we're gonna get to this. It's a little bit more of an advanced song for people. It's not those little like just four chords kind of things, but yeah, if you follow along, I swear it'll be worth it once you like practice and once you uh get everything to go right. So, okay, let's get started guys. All right guys, is this focused? Yeah, it's focused. Okay, so standard tuning.
Foreign. And then we're going to start with the intro. So I'm just going to play out the chords. [Music] Okay, and then we're gonna add the little uh the little nuances after. So the first chord is going to be a E chord. So that's going to be four, four, four, two. And then you gotta have to practice your barring. So I bar the first three strings on the fourth fret with my ring finger and then sneak a little two right here on that last string with my index finger. Okay, and I might not know what all the chords are like their names for them because I just play by ear and stuff, but I know a little bit of music theory, but not that much. So, okay, first chord E, four, four, four, two. And the next chord is a three, three, four, three. So I think that's a G sharp. So what you do is three, three, four, three. What I do is I bar this whole uh the whole third fret with my index finger and then I put that middle finger right here on that third string on the fourth fret. Okay, so all together. And then the next chord, this is another E. We're just going to call it E2, right? Because we already had this E442, and then this uh E chord, E2 is going to be four, four, four, four. So again, it's the same as that last chord, you're kind of just barring the whole fret. So [Music] so four, four, four, four. [Music] Okay, so E, then you go into G sharp, then you're going to that E2. [Music] And then you're going to go to this chord, which is an E7. I think it's one, two, open, two. [Music] Okay, one, two, open, two. [Music] We'll learn about that later. So, um, the next chord, I don't really know what it is, but all you're doing is you're doing the same chord, but you're blocking that open. So instead of doing one, two, open, two, you're doing one, two, two. [Music] Okay, and then what I do is see my third finger, or sorry, my ring finger is on the last string on the two, so like this for that for that uh E7, and then I just scooch it over to the next string right on the two. So my pinky can sneak right there. So, okay, all right. So let's go again. So you got that E going to that G sharp to that E2, and then E7, and then going to E7 rendition. So it's like right away too. So like, and then the next chord is going to be an A, which is two, one, open, open. [Music] And then A. And then next chord is going to be an A minor chord, but a little bit different. So this one is going to be two, open, open, two. I think it's like an A minor or something, but just call it A minor for it now. So you're going to do A, go into A minor, and then the next chord will be a um F sharp minor, which is two, one, two, open. Okay, so [Music] and then going to the last chord, which is a um a B, which is four, three, two, two. [Music] But you're really actually going to be four, three, three, two, or four, three, two, two, sorry about that. So B going to um this four, three, two, two, you're actually going to do four, three, four, two. So sneak that pinky right in. You're kind of doing a hammer-on so on that third string. So but you're playing the whole chord. So so it's really easy as long as you practice that hammer. [Music] So let's play that all together, or let's do that second part. So that A going to the A minor, going to that F sharp minor, and then. Okay, so we know all the chords now. We're going to add in the fillers, right? So the way I play it, you can play it all different kinds of ways, but to make it sound more of like an instrumental part, I add in like, so the strumming like [Music] it's literally just a down, down, down, down, down, except I'm just plucking strings. I'm plucking strings that are by the same chord. So like [Music] and then right here you go to that E7 and then at E7 like uh different alteration. So so if you want to go slow, um, you go into that E. [Music] So you can play anything, but I just think like this. I just hit uh this. So [Music] you can even use your finger if you want, like this. So I do that sometimes. So you don't, you don't really care about what string you're hitting, but I mean, as long as it's part of the chord, it'll sound good. So, and then right here, that E7, instead of doing this, you go, I, I add in a note. So, and then right here, next part, you're gonna go in A. So again, you're just like adding in that filler. So [Music] right here. So that, that's the A minor. So A minor. And for this part, I do want to hit this string because you're going to be like this. [Music] Thank you. Okay, and what I do is when you're at that F sharp minor, so [Music] and then you're playing this chord and then this pinky, you're gonna do this like uh on the third string. [Music] So [Music] and then I want to hold these so it resonates too. So you're just placing your pinky right here on that fourth fret on the third string. So, and then you're hitting the next string over. [Music] And then you're sneaking uh either the pinky right here on the two. So, or you can just use your um your ring finger and then remove it from that third string. So that's what I do. So [Music] and then that uh next chord is that B, but you're doing that hammer-on. So, but I again, add a little bit of note. So, and that's it. So again, let's break that down really. So I know it's a little confusing for like beginner people, but again, you're just playing the chord. You can play the chords if you want, just like, like [Music] you can do that if you want because that's what I do when I like actually start singing with it too. But again, you kind of want to make the intro sound a little bit different than like the verse and stuff like with without lyrics. So that's why I do that part and that's why it's also a part in the song too. Like I'm playing both the chords, the rhythm, and then I'm playing the lead as well. So because it just makes it sound nicer. So let's do it again. So you got that um you got that E and then I'm gonna go this um the plucking way. So like [Music] so [Music] and then this part you can just do like this, or you can do whatever you want. [Music] And then this next part, you're going to do this kind of the same thing, but right here when you go [Music] and then right here where you're doing that E2. [Music] Okay, right here, you're just borrowing it and then the last string you're doing. But um to make it sound fuller, so I do like this and then I just pluck the individual drill string. [Music] And then this next part right here, I plucked the whole string again, or I strum the whole string. So [Music] does that make sense? So hit the string by itself, but then strum the whole fret and then go back to the four. So [Music] and then going back to that E7, and then you're going to the A, go into the A minor, and then right here, that uh F sharp minor, but [Music] and then [Music] cool. Again, let's break that down again slower. So you got the first part. [Music] Again, you can do this just strumming, or you can do, you can add on some filler. And then when you're singing uh the song, I don't play that because it would be really hard to play that hard part and sing at the same time. So I just play the chords. So again, you got that E.
