Here, on Tuna, we, it would seem, have come to the death of a university. Well, if not that, it is the last of a very peculiar practice. It's a long way from anywhere you've ever been before. Got to get your act together. We're not sure we love you; we need you; we love you; we hear you. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music]
Oh, BL, what's the matter? I was—it was—oh, I had this horrible dream. Hey, you, here you are. Right? What are you up to? You're supposed to be the first-class sleeper, like the Orient Express. No, I was, and there were—I was playing chess with Death, and Death looked just like Ron Rust.
And who is Ron Rust? You know, fellow in creative writing; writes novels and stuff. So maybe it was a dream about the death of the English novel. No, no, it was worse than that. I was playing for my life, Greta, and I'm a really lousy chess player, and I don't even know how to castle.
Hey, brilliant person. Just a dream. This is real. You, me, bad nice warm sleepy smells. I'm sorry. Haven't had panic and terror like that for ages. Come here, lie down. Why are you being so nice to me? I don't know. Maybe I make a big mistake. I don't play chess, you see. I like games of chance, you know. Always like to bet more than I can afford to lose; otherwise, no fun, eh? And I like your smelling—your wonderful pajamas, and um—oh, clim—sometimes my English goes crap, you know. I talk like a dog. I really like the way you talk, Greta. Sh, lie still, close your eyes. I want to say something in Polish.
For that sounded really lovely. What was it? Oh, something—and no stud on a local authority gr—the new rent which cont—our legal agreements with the university—rest is yours. Your union is going to fight all these new proposals. We have the will; we have the muscle; and we have right on our side. Certainly, we are already willing and able to implement a rent strike, but we are a democratic union. We are going to the Vice Chancellor, and we are going to demand fair rent for university accommodation; no implementation of the pyramid failing policy; full investigation of the Union Officers.
Hello, Sammy, pissed again, I see. Yeah, but who pay for Harry? Point is, Montego on Sammy, we'll buy you a drink. No, I'm sing—the union—union accounts are always open to inspection, as Sammy Lim knows, of course. The administration are going to try to divide us and discredit us at a time like this, of course. They'll plant their agents in our mid—let go, you beastly brother—but we must stand together. College kids, who needs them? Right? Kind of sad, though. I had a good enough time at Harvard—our fraternity house—stuff that went down there. You know what the freshmen had to do to get acceptance? Go out and catch a rat, bring him home, skin him, roast him, and eat him. That right, Jack? Now the trouble with this place—has no tradition.
Okay, so the letters go out to departments—uh, those we still have, yeah—restructuring on the pyramid principle; throughout, use examinations to take out half the students in each year; make every department as lean and fit as Electro-tics. I guess that'll give us the highest proportion of first-class degrees in Europe. Release some teaching facilities, too. We can turn them over to research and the halls of residents. Yeah, the letter's gone out to all resident staff and students—uh, new rent scheme based on open market levels; index-linked. Yeah, I like that, Charlie; that's a new deal. No favors, no discrimination, white or yellow, black or tan; you get what you pay for. I don't care if you're a hick from the sticks; if you want a penthouse suite, your money's as good as if you were one of the royal old princess.
Jack, you know, a—a full grant wouldn't buy a single room for a month at the new rates. Hey, Charlie, we're doing these kids a favor; we're offering them choice, and choice is freedom. They can lie around on welfare checks, so they can get off their butts and work their way through college the way we did. Charlie, we're giving them a chance to stand tall. Sure we are. Uh, I'm assuming in practice we'll be evicting 90, 95% of them. Well, yeah, I—I said figures. I have the—roughs for the new brochure here. What do you think? Lan University: A New Concept in conference and leisure facilities for industry and business. Yeah, kind of wordy. The pictures sure look pretty, though. Make it clear we're offering a year-round facility, not just vacations.
Jack, you don't feel we might be—uh, going a bit fast here? We're front-runners, Charlie. Front-runners have to go fast. Now listen, if you're thinking Kent State, forget it. This is England; we're strictly legal, and if there is trouble, we have the best police force in the world. But there won't be trouble. Harry Pointer is a sensible guy. You know what I think, Charlie? I think you spent too long in Nicaragua. Yeah, sometimes I think that, too. Come on, Charlotte, loosen up; we're having a ball. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, is the whole campus gone sick?
Us now, right? I take anybody who's come for jabs or dressings and have laay on a pot of tea and jam botties for any of you haven't had breakfast. Uh, maybe I best see—no morning tree—a time nurse gagan—it is not half-past n yet. Oh, I'm sorry, Mrs. Kramer, are they not permitted to be a till after half-past nine? Then come on, poor little scraps. Well, clearly we're just going to have to extend surgery hours today. Can't be dumb buddy on the court at 11:15 with the Vice Chancellor; humiliate him, Bob; crush him; make him crawl on his belly like a snake. I thought I'd let him win, actually. You know about the surgery hours? I didn't just mean today—till the end of term. I meant—have you seen them out there? It's been like—but it's been like Walo all week, and it's getting worse. Oh, Lord, look here. We can't give in to the rebel. If they haven't the wit to come in out of the rain, then it's their lookout. Those students are suffering as a direct result of the policies of the Midnight Cowboy. I'm surprised at you, Bob; you're a doctor, man; do your duty, damn you.
Don't come the heavy housem with me, Jock; you're not the head of the practice anymore, and neither will you be for much longer, buddy, unless you get your act together. We're not living in a bleeding hearts culture anymore. Your bleeding heart is perfectly all right now, is it, Bob? I'm so glad. Look here, Rose, I've never struck a woman in my life, but one more—more crack about Daphne or Glenn Oats, and it's you and me in the gym with the gloves on. Ah, Robert, we understand your deep psychic pain, but you wouldn't f—the b—l. I can look after myself, thank you, Jock. Unless—about the deep psychic pain—or the same goes for you, you old fart. You all, for Christ's sake, shut up now. We have a crisis here: vitamin deficiencies, malnutrition, bronchitis, puracy, pneumonia—you name it. I actually saw my first case of what they used to call trench foot this week. I've also got six cases of severe clinical depression; six, and they're just the serious ones, the ones I'm going to have to refer. And I think Jock is right: this crisis is the direct result of policies pursued by this administration. The students can't afford to buy books, eat, or pay the rent, and no matter how hard they work, half of them expect to be thrown out at the end of this term.
Well, that will get the numbers down a bit to roll on next term, eh? I've also had a nice friendly letter from Charlie Dusenbury inviting us to show how the center can be run on a profit-making basis within the next two years, or else, eh? Brilliant. Leave it to me, Steven. I propose to tell him and Jack Daniels to get stuffed. I'd like your support. An excellent notion, Steven, and I can recommend a first-class taxi—an edur man. I'm sure he'd be happy to make the trip. Thank you, Jo. Robert, you must be joking, buddy. Oh, you certainly have my support, Steven, as a doctor and as a woman. Thank you, Rose. Jack Daniels is a brilliant man, a powerful man; he is a force for good or evil. I think he recognizes another such man in you, Steven. Well, I don't know about that. Oh yes, he needs you, Steven; he needs you to fight him tooth and nail; force him to recognize the strength that lies in gentleness, in caring, in love. Ah, love—so rarely do we hear that word now in the ban swamp—but the ceremony of innocence is not finally drowned; there is still love here for those who can tap its secret source. Oh, Lord, rake out the Beatles albums. On with the cfans, past the lentil—pathetic. Poor Robert, you really mustn't bury your feelings. I don't—deep down, you know, I think Jock's right. Perhaps all we do need finally is love. If it is not a vulgar suggestion, I think what's needed around here is a bit of hard work from the doctors. Do you know they're stacked up far deep in the waiting room?
Sammy, you are like an emblem of our better dreams. Take my advice and give up the fight game while you're still young. I don't like to hurt your feelings, but it's clearly not your M. I know that, but what with the bike and the way I simp to get up people's noses—Ally gave me a bit of a scene to last night. It's my own fault; I've been a bit unnecessary when one of her friends—oh, yeah, and then I got into this hot political discussion with a couple of Harry Pointer's friends. Thing is, none of that's my style. I'm into litigation; I'm taking the university and the union to the Court of Human Rights, and I think I got a chance of a result there. Is it hot in here? How—however—disy, Bill—uh, come and go quite sort of nice, like dreaming. Sammy, when you came off the bike, did they give you an X-ray at the hospital? No, I don't think so. It was just—cut some bruises. See, I think—give me the totle down there and have one. It is just the faintest of marginal possibilities that you are wandering around with a hairline fracture of the skull, which might adversely affect your reaser keen forensic skills, if you follow me. Yeah, right. Cheers, Sammy. Sammy, you must take care of yourself, my boy. Men like you and me are rare today—men who know the loveliness of a lovely girl; men who understand the sovereignty of love and justice. A great battle is hard upon us, Sammy. I feel it in my bones. Sammy, we must love one another or die. Yeah, right. I know what you mean, Doc. Or was it love one another and die? Right to a day. Early nights; plenty of liquids. Don't come back for a fortnight; better still, don't come back at all.
Oh, Lord, Mr. Small [ __ ] for Dr. Buzzard, please. Buzzard—ah, Mr. Corazon—Corathon, then, quite yes. Robert Buzzard. Buzzard Lan's International supplies order. Okay, yes. I'm happy to say that everything is in order. Yes, we've managed to locate the goods to your precise specification. Small cot—let's see your tongue—not cck—tongue—tongue—you death—sorry, Mr. Carathon. Yes, an impeccably reliable source. As soon as we get your banker's draft, we'll authorize express shipment of the arms and accessories by private airf freight CIF bogar. All documents ahead. That SLE war must be a bloody nuisance, as you think. Jolly good. Pretty qui here, too. Well, we're always at your service, Mr. Carathon. Give us a ring; we'll give you a code. We try harder at Buzzard Lan's. Right to a day; plenty of liquids; early nights. Off you go, Mr. Small [ __ ]. Miss Guer for Dr. Buzzard, please. Small cot—not [ __ ]—oh, go away.
So what is this with the card? Am I ill and I don't know it? You get me frightened, you know, G. I'm sorry. It—it seemed the only way of seeing you. You've been so inex—accessible lately. So here I am, where you want me. So what now? You want me to take my clothes off? You want to examine the breast? You want to get inside my pants? Is this what it is? I don't understand, Greta. Please don't humiliate me. You know I care for you. Don't sheepen it. I'm not like—oh, I can't bear to think of you with him, but I'd never use the same devious war. Right. I'm sorry. I don't know what you want. All right. I don't understand. English people say one thing, mean another thing, then do the opposite of everything. I can't say what I snatched laui [ __ ]. You know, sometimes I feel so foreign here. You're a woman, Greta. Women understand each other. They do. Remember when you first came to see me? Yes. Listen, I'm sorry. It didn't work out—whatever you wanted—too many people—bad timing—so maybe just friends—is this possible with you? Whatever happens, I'll always be your friend. I'd like to help you, Gr. Not so easy with Polish disaster p—they chopping my crab department, so I have no job. You have a job for me? You might be able to keep your job here. I know Jack Daniels will be sorry to lose you. There's so much new thinking going on. Jack wants to put the emphasis on individual talent rather than cumbersome departmental structures. There might be some lovely Maverick jobs going—for—well, for lovely Mavericks. Let me see what I can do with Jack—with Jack.
Hey, you mean you have something going on with the Vice Chancellor? You seeing him? Oh, Greta, you know that's not my style, but I do have his ear. You're having his ear? Oh, yes. Never mind, carry on. And well, with Steven leaving—what? Oh, he hasn't mentioned it. Well, no doubt he would find it difficult to tell you. There's going to be some restructuring at the h—Health Center, too. I think Steven will be quite pleased to be moving on. Moving on? What do you mean? What—moving on where? To—what are you saying now? Oh, Greta, I hoped I wouldn't have to be the one to tell you. So it's one of the tablets four times a day? What about the other stuff? Three times a day, roughly breakfast, lunch, and supper time, and as much as you can manage. Okay. What is it exactly? Well, it's a concentrated protein mix; it's food, basically. You can't afford to buy the food you need, so I'm prescribing it for you. Not too thrilling, I'm afraid, but I'm not allowed to prescribe cocko B. It's all right. I'll—a veggie. Come back and see me in a week, and uh—take care of yourself.
Okay, Dr. Day. Yes, Mrs. Kramer, there's a Chief Inspector of police to see you. What? Uh, yes, all right. I'm free now. Send him through. Morning, Doc. Lyn, you remembered. Uh, Chief Inspector Turtle to you. Accelerated promotion, good, eh? But you—uh, it's me. Honest, look there. Does that refresh your memory? Oh, ly—right on your feet, Sam. Come on here. Come here, Doc. Oh, right. Look, arms go around here. Remember that's it. Um, yeah, is there something you'd like to tell me? [Music] Steven, I feel really dreadful about it. Hey, listen, I know how these things happen. Me only thought for going away and leaving you—wasn't it? Tasty bloke like you—naturally, they'll all be coming in the windows. Look, I'm not—what—well, attractive to women. No, of course you're not. It's just that one or two of us have warped face. Um, actually, there was quite a bit of stuff I was thinking I was going to have to tell you. Well, no need now, eh? Oh, come on, dog, cheer up; it's really—it's really all right. Disappointed. You always were one for having a bad time. I'll tell you one thing: I wish you weren't such a one as time person. Yes. Okay, Doc. Didn't come here just to see you, anyway. I'm—um—well, sort of police spy. Um, brilliant disguise. Yeah, well, you know, there's been a bit of a buzz going around that something's going to happen here. You must be joking. I said things happening at L. Well, you're an old Lan's lag. They said, go and have a look around. So what have you all been up to? [Music] Eh, well, 63 to Daniels. Not often I get hammered like that, sir. Well, I like to keep in shape, and you certainly are in good shape, sir. Um, I mean—well, I didn't mean to—so are you, Bobby. But then, on the other hand, Bobby—yes, I know what went down just now on the court. Next time, I want your best game, Bobby. Right—um—right—after to you, sir. Okay. Did you get a chance to—glance through those privatization proposal, sir? I sure I did, Barbie. Oh, good. And—um—what did you think, sir? Well, Barbie, I guess we like the quality of your thinking. Thank you, sir. [Music] [Applause] [Music]
Here we go. Here we go. Here we go. What do we want? What do we want? It—a—here we—here we—here we—here we go. Here we go. Here we—here we go. Here we go. Here we go. [Music] And when the lamb opened the fifth seal, I heard a voice like the sound of thunder saying: on the 27th day, when the temple shall burn and darkness cover the piss and swamp, on that day shall the nuns leave the barren lands forever, and then that day shall be the day before the last day.
Dangerous mood. I don't think so, Harry. I think you're putting me on. Straight up, Mr. Dusenbury, I don't think we can hold them. We've got nothing to hold them with. This is the late '80s, Harry. People don't have expectations anymore; they're grateful for anything they can get. You're not offering them anything. I mean, if there was some easy payment facility, something that sounds like a concession—I've got to go to them with something. I guess you could use a bigger car, Harry. That is not the point. Well, yeah, you like Mercedes. I think they're so reliable. When are you going to move them out? Uh-uh. I've got to know, Charlie. I'm trying to help. Ten days. It's sad, but I don't think it's a case for the riots quite exactly. I mean, look—can't see them storming the Winter Palace, can you? No. I've been wasting police time here, Doc. Apart from seeing you, it has been nice. Well, not as nice as it might have been, but really nice. You're paying attention, do—oh, well, yeah, I saw in the pza—do you know what? That's her—that's Greta. Hello, Greta. This is a double dry white wine. Hey, let me—I'm—I'm sorry, I shouldn't have come in here. I don't know why I did this. Don't be silly. Come and join us. I wanted to see you. Now I don't feel so good. I'm not that horrible, Lynn. This is Greta. Greta, this is Lynn—wonderful girlfriend. Miss—a big disaster—hold about you—um—Polish, right? Yes, Polish. Polish—foreign and Polish—good for bed times—in bed—while the wonderful girlfriends are not there. What? Something in Polish. All right. I'm sorry. Okay, you come in here to take him away? Take him away? I'm not going to take him away. Well, stay here with him if you like. Whatever. No hustle. They give me a—but anyway, I go away. Hey, hasn't he told you? I mean, you told her you Dar PR? I didn't—I didn't tell her you were here. Look, Greta, he's not going away. I'm going away. Not what I hear. He loves you now. So there you are; you can have him. Something the matter with him? Well, he's a Dar Pratt; he's ridiculously inhibited, and he's a bloody awful swimmer. No, he's all right. What it is—he's jacked me in because he's gone and fallen in love with you, and I'm just being really, really nice about it. This is true. This is true. Yes, it's true. Fly me now. I don't know what to say to you. I think we should start again from where you walk in. Well, come on, Doc. Empty glass is here. Get him in. Well, that's kind of interesting, Rose. You know, I've been real disappointed in Steve's input; nothing I say seems to strike him right. I guess I made a mistake about Steve. You sure about this? She told me so herself, Jack. He seduced her while she was still his patient. Yeah, I hate to remind you, but you were sure about George Bun as well, honey. He did resign, Jack. Yeah, he resigned, but we didn't look too good either for a while. So the chick will stand up, will she? Well, I think that rather depends, you see. As things stand, she doesn't have a job here after the end of term. She doesn't? You asked her department, Jack? Oh, yeah, sure—art history—all Pur plat. It would be a very liberal gesture if you were to create a special post for her, and I'm sure she'd be very grateful. Yeah, I guess—you know, I'm not too happy about appointing faculty members from the Eastern Block. I know you do things differently in Europe, but hell, it seems plain crazy to me. How do you know she's not a Soviet plant? Oh, Jack, she's Polish; she's not even a communist. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I did major in political theory, and I have to tell you that Poland is a communist state. You're trying to tell me General Gerald Zelski is a republican? She hasn't lived there since she was a girl, Jack. Yeah, well, she was raised in the Catholic faith, Jack, like you. That right, Jack? The Pope's Polish. Oh, yeah, yeah. You seem kind of hot on this Polish chick, Ross. She's had a raw deal, and she could be very helpful and very grateful. Yeah, okay, I'll see what I can do. Listen, Rose, don't take this wrong, but uh—this is a small step, and right now I got a lot of big stuff going. I got to keep my desk clear for the big stuff, you know. I do understand, Jack, and I trust you. It's quite a crucial time in the university's history, isn't it? It sure is, Rose. A whole new philosophy of higher education is on a launching pad. We really going for it, Rose. The eyes of the world are un—lly now. When you talk like that, Jack, I get a—I can't put it into words, but you know what I mean. I guess I do, Rose. I guess I feel the same way about you, too. It seems such a shame we have to be strong; we have to think of Julie. Yes, Jack. Do you think Julie's been entirely fair about all this? Well, I guess she was kind of sore about it, hasn't she? Surrendered her—well, her moral advantage. I don't understand you. Oh, you didn't know? She's—she's seeing someone, Jack. Seeing someone? Yes. I'm so sorry. He's—well, I suppose one could describe him as an older [Music] man. Keep in touch. E—take care of yourself. And you, well, bye. [Music] Grer—see you again, I hope. Yes. [Music] Go, go, go, go. [Music] Go, go. [Music] [Music] Go. Are you—ing? What the hell's going on? Look, you—time—just—what do you think you're doing? He—doing that job, man. Get on me B—you go out way. But what is this? Who's in charge of this? Look—bloody—will stop. [Music] But can't you see what you're doing is totally immoral? You put the rents up to a level that no one can meet except the odd few Saudi Arabians and Japanese, and then you evict them when they can't pay. Steve, I'm getting a little tired of your attitude. Those students have a choice; if they don't want to live on campus, they don't have to live on campus. I'm running a university, not a soup kitchen. I don't see anything immoral when asking for a little financial commitment, a little personal investment in their own future. Well, I don't know about you, Steve, but I didn't have it a soft when I was a college student. I worked my way through college, Steve. I'm not ashamed of that. Yes, fine. Except there aren't any jobs that they can do. No, I'm disappointed in you, Steve. All I hear from you these days is whining, beefing, and belly aching. You have a positive suggestion? Yes, reverse the rent policy; reverse the failing policy; subsidize teaching and accommodation out of all these profits we're making. All right, Steve, put it up to Senate now. If you'll excuse me—there isn't another Senate meeting till next month, and there's no point in raising things at Senate because you've got rid of all the opposition. You see what I mean? Negative attitudes. If you could just learn to think positive, Steve, you can have a ball at Lowlands. Harry Pointer is thinking positive; he's helping us find solutions, and we're going to be very grateful to Harry. Think about it. You're a real bastard, aren't—
You, I've haven't call worse than that by Bigg guys and you Steve don't mean diddly squat to me. I'm not doing anything I'd be ashamed to tell my mother about. I don't think you're happy here at Lan Steve; you're not coming on like one of the team. I guess I'm going to have to let you go.
No, I'm not leaving. I don't think you hear what I'm saying, Steve. I want you to get the hell out of my University. I hear you're sleeping with your patience, and I don't like that kind of stuff. We go for family values here, so I guess I'd like to see, see your resignation, Steve. I'd hate to see you—what do you guys call it—struck off.
Bloody well try it, okay, Steve, just as soon as I find a window in my diary. But I'm frightfully sorry, Mr. Carathon. I can't understand it at all. The crate went flown out yesterday; it should be with you. Wait a minute—what time do you have there? Ah, Bingo, time zones. 9:17 tomorrow, Bitar news. Not at all, Mr. Corazon. Buzzards Lans are always at your service. Right, Mr. Little Dick Small Cot, you're fine, small [ __ ], you're cured. Take yourself off.
But I'm rather worried, you—we're all rather worried. Try going into the arms trade; that'll make you worry. Wait till your wife leaves you; you go bananas. Now listen to me, I'll just say this once: it's got nothing to do with the size; it's what you do with it. Out [Music] But we don't have to take it, cuz it's not legal. Tear him down and takeen the C [Applause] [Music] [Applause]
Vander gross, Charles Dusenbury, Loland University. We touched base last week, right? Might it's all quiet now. There's a minor incident this morning, just a scuffle, I guess. What we're anticipating is a fair-sized peaceful demonstration. We're getting good intelligence from the students' union, and uh, there is a small troublemaking element. A token police presence would be very helpful in nipping any trouble in the bud.
Yeah, I'm sure that you do it fine. We really appreciate your input, Commander. I like this country. Jack, make a call like that in Salvador, and either you get nothing or a 100 guys swarm in, stealing typewriters and tearing people's heads off. British moderation. Yeah, Julie, hi Jack, Charlie. Mr. Daniels, beat it.
Charlie, I'm leaving. Jack, you're leaving Lowlands? I'm leaving you. What the hell for? Because you're an [ __ ], Jack, and because I guess I finally found the love of a good man. Don't be shy, honey, come on in. What is it with you goddamn [Applause] doctors? Oh God, oh God, come back and S. All Is Forgiven. Bard, you are going to have to come back in. Dr. Bosard, there's this big crate arrived, and you have to sign for it personally. Would you get a move on, cuz it's filling the waiting room and it has this strange smell on it.
What? Oh my God. Moren, stay there. Oh God, that's Dr. Bosard. Sign in, you bloody fool. This is supposed to be in Bitar. Want to punch at us, child? Mage, you watch your lip and sign there. No, wait. Oh my God. Well, what's in it? Arms? You're dealing in arms? Yes, if that's any your business. Don't you think there's enough violence in this world without you putting your oar in? What are you talking about? Oh, guns, bombs, rocket launchers. How would I know what you have in there? Oh, no. Arms. Arms for Bugar University Medical School. Come on, we've got to get them in the freezer. There's 40 grand worth here, and they're defrosting. You're disgusting. I'm going home. Moren, Moren, you've got to help me. Right, meanon, enough's enough. This is my home, not the best little wh house in Texas. [Music]
Hello, my darling. Yes, I've come back, and I'll never leave you again. You're an absolute bounder of it, my darling, but I just can't live without you. [Music] Me, I had such a terrible time. Well, of course you have, my darling; that was the whole idea. But everything's going to be fine now, is it? Of course it is. Oh, by the way, Mr. Dusenbury phoned while you were out. Oh my God. He said the Vice Chancellor had some very good news for you. Really? I think this is really it, my darling. We're really and truly getting on with our lives.
I understand the feeling of this meeting, and believe me, I share it all the way. But what I say to you is this, what I say to you is this: we must keep the dialogue going, going. Jack Daniels is a reasonable man, trust me, and I'll see you all [Applause] Right, St a bloody [Applause] Li. I'll take you all to—I'm taking you to court, Harry. Who give be want for president? Who gooey? [Applause] WS, this is a democratic [Music] [Applause] I don't know what to say. May I, yeah, feel freedom. Storm the Senate House, open the files, reclaim your University. Yes, yes. Hold up, hold up. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause]
Yeah, I guess we made a miscalculation here. Well, they're in now. It—it won't be easy, still they're just kids, you know. Nice talk, Daniel. Come on, relax. SM a bit settling down, everything's fine. [Applause] Go, I'm a [Applause] doctor. Hello, thanks for coming. Come on up. [Applause] I don't speak to you anymore. You told me a lot of porkers. I think I wanted to help Greta. It was all for you. Yes, and now what? You're joining us or what? Oh, Greta, these are just boys' games. Not boys, people, vulnerable human bodies. Goodbye. [Applause]
Well, Sammy, you're the hero of the hour. How does it feel, my dear fellow? Well, all right, right. As a matter of fact, I feel a bit funny. I got a sort of tingle down my right arm. Sammy, you did go for that x-ray? Yeah, sure. Well, I was going to go, but the B wouldn't—don't worry, don't—I'll go tomorrow. All right, give me, give me a, give me—we have the CH you standing by. I think we should send them in before things get out of hand. No sir, it's very quiet now. I know these people, and I think it's going to be all right. My very firm advice is you hold them on the perimeter. Got someone here who's going in to talk, and I think we'll get a result. It's a bloke from the Senate, head of the medical center. S Ty, is it? Uh, yes sir. He seems a sensible bloke to me. In, thank you sir. You're in, Doc.
Now Steve, I guess I'm not going to give the bastards anything. The way I look at it, a few students are expendable. The way I look at it, all the students are expendable. You're mad. I'm not crazy, Steve. I am the future, and you better believe it. All that crap out there, all those people, they're irrelevance, Steve. My university is about knowledge and power. Cosmic knowledge, cosmic power. It is about understanding and controlling the universe. Jack, you've been under a terrible strain these past few weeks. Your marriage breaking up—now I know what that feels like. Listen, I don't give a [ __ ] about marriage. I am talking ultimate values here. What do you think a university is about? Being kind to dumb old farts? You think a university is about a lot of middle-class kids getting their rocks off? The university is bigger than all of us, but don't you understand yet, you dumb Irish bastard? Those students are expendable. You are expendable, and ultimately, Steve, even I am expendable. I'm bored with you now, Steve. Why don't you go and SC yourself? Nothing. He's not rational. He seems to want—I'm—I'm getting something. Uh, sorry sir, no result is yet—right of the—no, really sir, I think that would be counterproductive. L I'm in. I pr—you remember that? Sorry sir, that be there in two minutes, right. That's it, they're coming in. Minimum necessary [Applause] Force. Look, you better get clear. This is going to be nasty. Never. We stand firm. Right, Sami? Yeah, right, Doc. Look, I'm sorry. [Music] Coma. He had a bang on the head a week ago. Tingling down the right side today. Subdural hematoma, Steven. He must have had intercranial bleeding all this week. Oh Sammy, Sammy. [Applause] [Music] [Applause]
Clear away, you stupid little man. Let me through. Stop, stop. Wor St St [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I have a dream. No man is my—I am talking Plato's Republic. I am talking Camelot. And when the lamb opened the fifth seal, I heard a voice like the sound of thunder saying, "On the 27th day, when the temple shall burn and darkness cover the pissan swamp, on that day shall the nuns leave the baron lands forever, and that day shall be the day before the last day." [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]
Well, Doc, think you're going to like it in Poland? Well, I'm a bit nervous about it. Hey, listen, person, you won't notice much difference. Just another desperate country. Strange to think that used to be Lan University. Well, we were there. Dog Bob Buzzard's still there, head of the medical center, looking after Jack Daniels and a gang of robots. Ride upali. Oh God, could have been such a good place, you know. Could have been really okay. It's a long way from anywhere you ever been before. Got to get your act together. With not show, we love you, we need you, we love you, we hear you, we need you. Where, living in a l life City. All there, one or two are sitting pretty, and you got to get your leg together. Please be sure we love you, we need you, we love you. We hear you, we need you, we love you. And we all got to live together. That's for show. We you we you we you we [Music]
