Dynamo songs has been a very hot topic since the start of the season. Many players dismiss this item almost immediately because the healing per second passive effects is pretty obsolete in the mid to late game. This is because, interestingly, Diadem of Gales off of mana and not base mana regeneration, which is the stat that most enchanter items provide.
So, if you want to increase the base heal of Diadem, you want to be picking up [music] items that provide you with extra mana, like malignance, Ludens, Black Fire, Torch. Wait, are you thinking what I'm thinking? Yes. Mages and quite frankly, any character can now be played in the support role with a fun diadem healing build, as mages often build lots of mana heavy items that will increase the healing on Diadem's passive.
Now, here's the important part. Echo Aphilia works insanely well with Diadem and that's what makes Daid [music] of Songs potentially overpowered. Put simply, the more damage you deal to enemy champions while in combat, the more burst healing you're going to be providing to your teammates. Dynam's passive heal consumes the echoes of Helia soul shards every second, meaning that you can keep refreshing your soul shard stacks and you don't have to wait until one of your healing or shielding abilities is up to consume the stacks. So, as you can imagine, you're able to pump out a lot of healing in team fights if you can consistently damage their enemies.
This play style opens the door to long range poke characters who can play safe and far back in a fight while also damaging enemies. It definitely works better if you have lower cooldowns. The lower your cooldowns, the more healer stacks you [music] can accumulate. It's important to remember that you need to damage an enemy champion or heal or shield an ally who is in combat every 3 seconds, otherwise your passive healing will stop. It's also worth noting that Helia has a soul shard cap, which means any damage that goes beyond it will not add to your stacks. So, if you're playing a mage with the Helia diade of interaction, don't be expecting to hit an enemy champion with your ultimate for a,000 damage and to heal your allies to an entire health bar. The soul shard cap is intentionally quite low to balance the item and to make it useful for enchanters and their lower amounts of damage. The soul shard cap increases throughout the game.
Another way to maximize the value from Dino songs is to play burn characters like Brand who innately extends the amount of time he is in combat because of his damage overtime [music] effects. Meaning your diadem will be pumping out heals while also stacking helia and consuming the stacks for more heals every second. Now couple this damage with blackfire swords or Leandre's and you're maximizing your combat uptime with the extra burns. So far, I have played Diadem, Ekko, Zyra, and Brand, but I've been seeing it being built on a lot of other champions like Quay and Swain. The interaction between Helia and Dadem definitely opens the door to some fun and edgy support picks, but by no means am I advocating for this play style on a competitive standpoint. It's very expensive for a support to build and takes a while for you to get your core build online. But if you can make it to the mid game, you'll definitely be having a lot of [music] fun pumping out some crazy heals for your allies.
By ways of example builds, you could build echoes of helia, dynam of songs, blackfire sw torch, and throw a final item in there like saras embrace to maximize the diadem heals or theandries to double up on burn damage or riize to provide perma slows and more utility for your team. You might be thinking, well, if I'm playing a mage, then how am I going to consume the echoes of helio stacks before I finish my diadem? You can also run font of life, which is a resolve rune if you want a further way to proc your stacks before you get your diagnos online. Font of life procs a heal for your ally whenever you immobilize an enemy, which most mages won't have a hard time triggering as they mostly all have some crowd control abilities.
But don't be [music] disillusioned. Helia and diadem definitely work best for enchanters as they stack the mana tier easily and most of them do enough damage to sufficiently charge helia if you're playing aggressively enough. Some examples are Sona and Nami. These two items work amazingly in full healing builds for most enchanters. You can check out my enchanter builds for the season to get more information. I'll leave links in the description and there's a whole playlist dedicated to enchanter builds on my YouTube channel page.
So, do I think that the diadem helia interaction should be nerfed? Personally, I don't think so. It takes a while to get your build online as a support role receives less gold than other roles. The healing assault shock cap also balances the item so that mages can't nuke an enemy and abuse the 20,000 healing that they could get from it. Also, if it's feeling a bit too oppressive in game, all the enemy has to do is buy some grievous wounds. I'm happy that we have yet another way to make unconventional support picks and have some more fun.
Thanks so much for watching this video. Let me know what you think the helia interaction and drop any fun builds that you've been messing around with. >> Yeah. One out. Yeah. Yeah. Uh also the speed up that you give as well. Like it's kind of disgusting. I can't lie. Like people sleep on Ariana support so much. Like even without like how much people like Whoa. Just like speeding both of them up to chase them down is like kind of disgusting. Like people sleep on those. No, they surrendered. No, let me get my game play. Echos of the hand. It's really really good. Thresh is like just like straight up. She got one. She's trying to make sure she takes the kills as well. She's making she doesn't get the kill.
>> Yeah, you can. See, I didn't actually know that kind of thing. because I kind of like never buy. I've never I've never missed. So like Heat. Hey, heat. Hey, heat.
