[Music] Right. So, I've recently, I suppose, upgraded um from my Linux Mint 21 to 22 on my HP Spectre 360. It's gone on 10 years now, this this laptop. Um but I've noticed the thing's got no sound after the update.
Um so, if we just go down to the little sound speaker button here, just I think you got to left click it. um sound settings. You can see there's a dummy output there. You can see there's no sound coming out of the the darn thing.
So, if we go open terminal, I just want to sort of copy my solution here as I type it. Um I just I might put this all into the description if I'm bothered. So basically what we're checking is that you have the same problem that I have. And once we punch this in, we'll get this error read out which uh yep says yada yada yada the minus 22.
Um, so now write pseudo nano- etc. dash default- grabby and then type your password and it'll open this little doohickey. And you just want to use the uh the arrow keys there to navigate to here where it says quiet splash and just tap it on the end of here. Um, just write what I write. So here tap tap tap. Right. Right. Very good. Mhm. All right. You got that? Nice. Fine. Pause the video. Do what you got to do.
Once you finish, you want to write press control O. Okay. And then press enter and then Ctrl X to piss that off. And then pseudo space update- grub. Um, and that fixed it for me pretty much. All you got to do now is go ahead and restart your machine. Um, so I'll go ahead and do that and I'll see you back here, you legend. All right, champion.
