Playing 82 games in the 80s and 90s is not the same as playing 82 games in the 2020s. It's just not. The way we play, the level of pace, the level of of the the the the speed that we're playing at um it's it's it's a different game now. It's a totally different game.

And uh LeBron soft tissue James. That's his new name. This guy feels the need to have an episode of his podcast in order to It's a little bit hard to tell what his main priority was. to complain about how many games they play or the fast pace of the game or if it was to have a sneaky way to compliment himself and brag some more. So, he gets somebody who is currently suffering a soft tissue injury to be the co-host and sit there and smile while he talks about how amazing he is and how pathetic the 80s and '9s were. Nothing but class. Nothing but class.

Like LeBron James, I think your entire body is soft tissue. Of course, you guys are suffering soft tissue injuries because you are all tissue paper excuses for men. Soft tissue paper injuries.

>> It's a lot of soft tissue injuries that's happened now because of it. I hope we can get a handle on that as well. >> So many different subcategories here. What if what if we just talk about old school mentality? How about the idea that you know you you don't brag about how often you get hurt. It's a lot of soft tissue injuries that's happened now.

>> I I just you it wasn't that way when I was growing up. Men weren't sitting around going, "Oh, we get hurt all the time." And even if you were playing in a tougher time, in a more demanding version of the sport, as men, you don't sit there, gather some someone around you who's going to agree with you, and try to make yourself feel better by talking crap about other players or another era, even if it was true. You don't behave that way. Now, we add into it that it's not true. In fact, it's the opposite of the truth.

>> We play the level of pace, the level of of the the the the speed that we're playing at um is it's is it's it's a different game now.

>> You don't know what the hell he's talking about. I'm like, what basketball was you watching? To say something as idiotic as that is ridiculous.

>> I stole those few seconds from Uncut Hoops cuz I couldn't improve on it. But do you remember the video I did a year or two ago called Standball? You know, instead of showing all of LeBron's misses and turnovers, I just showed how much he really does nothing. Yeah, those are the visuals you're going to be looking at.

Someone commented on one of my members videos. They're like, "Hey, such and such legends are all old now, but the way today's game is played, they could come off the bench right now. They could come off the bench right now. It's so much standing. It's so much watching." I think I heard uncommon sense say that fanboys tried to defend today's game by saying, "Oh, you didn't have to charge out to the three-point line to defend the three back then." What are you talking about? You're not in the paint. What do you mean charge out? from where to where most of the time I see you giving the shooter tons of space. It doesn't look like anyone gives a [ __ ] You're not closing the gap. you. Almost every NBA player now looks like someone who would have gotten benched in high school because of their lack of defensive effort, because of their inability to cover the person they're assigned to or their inability to cover zone defense properly.

The spoiled brat syndrome comes to mind quite a bit because if there's a will, there's a way. You know, you keep giving these guys and giving these guys and in their minds they keep thinking, "Oh, this means we deserve even more." It's not working. You know, the whole idea of, "Oh, maybe this will appease them. Maybe this will appease them and they'll finally get their act together." That's not working.

Now, what's the exact opposite of that? you, me, people listening to this, what would we not go through to get that payday? We'd play 182 games and we would tape our lower leg together with our upper leg in order to make it happen. If that's what it required to get the paycheck for half of what these guys are getting paid, LeBron James is getting $52.6 $6 million to complain. It It's what?

What What if our contract said, "You don't get to complain and we don't want to hear you whine about your discomfort and your injuries and you have to play every game of the season, but you're getting $20 million, [ __ ] $10 million, $1 million." We would all do it and we would play through the pain and not say a word because we can. We can get through it and it's worth it because we're not spoiled brats. These guys have been getting paid to do nothing for so long that now they actually think it's normal to get paid to do nothing.

Which brings me to the uh extended seasons, the the long careers. I said this years ago and I've said it in episodes since. How did we get it in our minds that we owe it to these guys for them to have long careers? They're [ __ ] professional athletes. They're supposed to be short. It you act like you're coming up with something brilliant. Like no one had the idea before. It's like, oh my god, you know what we could do? We could play forever and just not play very many games and not play very hard. Wa, that's brilliant. No, it's [ __ ] It's a [ __ ] product. That's not what sports is. Like, when's it going to end? These guys are hurt before the season even starts. So, stop blaming how many games you play. Again, the spoiled brat syndrome and trying to appease the brat thinking that that's going to fix the brat's behavior. If you agree, oh, you know, don't make them play 65 games and you lower it to 50 games. Next year, they're going to say, oh, 50 games is too many games.

I don't know who's responsible for pulling off this movement in which the less you give, the more we owe you. And I'm not going to commend you cuz it's gross, but wow, you did it. You don't want to go to work 65 out of 82 days. Get a new job. It's too bad Adam Silver is such a bad parent. find some other people that want to play. We'd rather watch people that want to play, even if they don't have the same skill set, which what does it matter? We never get to see these guys anyway. They're loafing when they are on the court cuz they're afraid of hurting themselves. And then they're not even on the court because they're trying to prevent hurting themselves or they got hurt anyway. So just give us some guys with some [ __ ] balls that are willing to actually play. Can we get some poor people? Can we get some like middle class people who will sleep on floors and fly coach happily and thank you that you provided them with a meal and a job and will play their asses off for 182 games this season, much less 82.

Now, as far as being eligible for awards, look, sometimes you get hurt and you were playing really well and you were trying hard and you get hurt and it sucks. Injuries suck. But you're not owed anything. You got injured. It's a tough break. Why? Why are you owed something? It sucks. Sorry, but you don't get an award anyway. You got injured. Don't [ __ ] get injured next year.

LeBron tried to use Jokic's name when making this point that it's not fair. And of course, he had to exaggerate, greatly exaggerate.

>> You can't tell me that Jokic is not all NBA now and all of a sudden because he's missed, you know, 30 games, you kind of tell me he's not, you know, first team all NBA. his guys,

>> you know, just if you have a good point, then have a good point. If you have to exaggerate as grossly as you did, then that's a pretty good sign that he didn't have a good point. Because I heard him say, if you miss 30 games, well, yeah, as great as Joic's numbers are, like these crazy triple doubles he's been having, if he misses 30 games, sorry buddy, tough [ __ ] 30 out of 82 games. Yeah, you're not qualified anymore. But as of right now, Joic has missed 16. So, it's not even applicable. Like, I heard the word 30 and I thought, geez, that's a lot. LeBron had to double the real number in order for his stupid argument to at least be attention getting. It's not based in reality.

this number of possessions per game argument. Boy, that's that's a gem right there. Uh I I'm going to say part of that is your terrible sloppy ball handling and terrible passing. I mean, LeBron James has eight turnovers a game and more sometimes. He had six in this game that he's going on a podcast complaining about afterwards. And yeah, I understand the ball's getting extra slippery for you with those increasing balco secretions in your palms, but those are changes of possessions, all of these turnovers that you guys are committing.

But more importantly, if you're doing sprints, you're running suicides or whatever, and the coach is having you go from baseline to baseline, does that take longer than if he has you run from three-point line to three-point line? Taking longer, but also which one's more difficult, baseline to baseline or three-point line to three-point line? Barely crossed half court. Let me chuck up a shot. Oh, it's a new possession. We're supposed to be impressed with that. Of course, there's more possessions. They're not good. There's more shitty possessions. Watch this. There's a change of possession. Watch the observer. There's that body language. There's a change of possession. Almost another change of possession. Oh, and there's a change of possession. This is a great great new game. And LeBron, boy, you were all over it, weren't you?

>> And I'm I be like, I don't even know how I'm doing it. So, I'm just trying to I'm trying to squeeze as much uh juice out of the lemon, out of the orange, out of whatever that that's left as as much as I can. And just Yeah, you're squeezing it. All right. squeezing it for every million you can get that you're not earning at the expense of the game, at the expense of the other players, at the expense of a league that desperately needs to move on. But yeah, you you keep squeezing it, LeBron, while you halfass out on the floor and then go on your podcast and tell everyone how great you're playing. The juice. Funny to hear him talk about juice. Yeah, we know. We know what's going on with you and juice. Cheating with the steroids is one thing, but you're not even playing. You're not playing hard, man. How can you be proud of yourself? You don't even need to be on steroids to be doing what you're doing cuz what you're doing isn't very impressive. Yeah, I I'd be able to dunk if I was 69 at age 41. 69. I think I'd be able to dunk at age 61.

>> That doesn't get talked about a lot as well, too, is like all the different like beds that we have to sleep in. You know, trying to be

>> That's the worst thing.

>> Yeah. You know, that's kind of that's hard on your body, you know, different pillows, different beds, different you know, that is taxing on your body, too. So, you know, just trying to find some type of uh some type of pattern, some type of comfort, you know, when you're going from different cities, different time zones, the beds and pillows. Talk about the spoiled brat syndrome. Sleep on the floor, man. Sleep in the bathtub. Sleep on the bus. [ __ ] These people have really lost touch with reality. when he will actually go on a podcast and voluntarily say something that asinine the different beds. What do you think? What do you think you could uh survive sleeping on for $52 million? You think a floor would work for you? I don't understand how he thinks this is a good point when he's comparing to the past. You think those guys have better hotels? Think those guys had higher quality beds than now? If you're complaining about traveling across time zones, it's time to retire. It was time to retire a long time ago. No one's holding a gun to this guy's head. He's getting paid $52 million and comes on. is like, you know what I have to go through? For those who don't know, one side of the country to the other is four time zones. The worst case scenario is four time zones. I personally have gotten off a plane from California, landed in Miami, and gone and played basketball. I I didn't go check with my therapist or get some rest first. Nope. We just went and played and then we went out on the town after that.

>> Playing 82 games in the 80s and 90s is not the same as playing 82 games in the 2020s. It's just not the way we play. The level of pace, the level of of the the the the speed that we're playing at um is it's it's it's a different game now. It's a totally different game

>> in the age of load management. It isn't that LeBron is missing more games. He's load managing during games.

>> Playing 82 games in the 80s and 90s is not the same as playing 82 games in the 2020s.

>> According to Second Spectrum, James was one of the slowest players in the playoffs. In fact, James spent over 77% of his time moving slowly.

>> Yeah. And I have provided the visual proof to go along with those statistics. And this video that I did, Stan Ball, really drives it home. Anyway, if you want to watch that one, it is linked below. Thanks everybody. Like, subscribe, hype.
