Hey friends, what's up? Ash here. Welcome back to Gen Sense. Over the years, I have made some questionable financial decisions. And I'm sure to the outside it looks like a a weird hellacious purgatory, like a Groundhog Day just repeating over and over. Fragrance boxes and bottles appearing non-stop on my porch, which honestly is not too far from accurate. But because of these questionable decisions, I have smelled tens of thousands of fragrances and own probably an African elephant's weights worth in fragrance.
These are some of the best. Starting off with the one that has to always start it off, Dior M Intense. I can't do one of these videos without featuring this because to me, this is the pinnacle of designer fragrance. This stuff, for lack of a better description, a monkeyy's through its head, evaporating the sun blotted out. Inferno of doom. In other words, it's pretty good. This is like the quintessential irisbased fragrance. Perfect for fall and winter time. Yeah, a little bit creamy, lipsticky, whatever you want to call it. But when it comes to fragrance, there is no collection that I could ever have without this. Not that Dior cares. They'll probably discontinue this and replace it with something that smells like bubble gum next year. Who knows?
The next fragrance, 1 Million Lucky by Paco Rabon, now known just as Rabon. This stuff smells just as fresh and new today as it did when it came out. To be fair, it didn't come out a crazy crazy long time ago, but still, it's the thought that counts. This one opens up with plum and ozonic notes. So airy, but deep and fruity at the same time. Then as it dries down, it has hazelnut, it has honey. So again, you get this kind of mix of coziness, of gourman notes, and then sweetness. This stuff has been rumored to be discontinued like five dozen times at this point, but still here. Knock on wood. Fake wood.
Raot Prestige up next. This stuff smells insane. To my nose, this is the best thing Robbie Prestige has put out so far, just as far as just the overall quality versus the price point here. Smells similar to Sendbad. Also has kind of a tobacco scent profile to it. Has a really busy note breakdown. Lots of different things going on, which I love. Yeah, it's an inspired by fragrance, but at the same time, there are so many scents coming out nowadays that have just one, two, three notes that I'll take it in any way I can get it. You're going to give me a full note breakdown. You're going to give me a fully realized idea with the notes. Nice. Yeah, it's weird. They used to do that. Not anymore. Fall and winter time. This stuff absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, right this minute, you know, it's getting pretty hot outside, at least where I live. So, it's not really a perfect time to wear this stuff, but oh man, when fall comes back around, this is going to be right at the top of the list. This stuff is great.
Let's keep it on the cheap side of things. Really affordable stuff that's not going to break the bank. Farragamo. Womo signature. The all blacked out Womo. Fantastic. Barraamo. Unfortunately nowadays pretty much just doing the uh leather line of fragrances which to be fair actually a lot of those are good. So, it's not that they're making just absolute stinker after stinker or anything like that, but I don't feel like Veraggamo is taken really seriously by a lot of people right now. They need to buckle down. They need to hit us with some heavy hitters. Not that long ago though, they had this line, the Womo line, and signature. That is the best of the bunch. So, what is this cooking with? Well, it's got cinnamon, it has tonka, it has leather, it has coffee. It smells essentially like an evolved version of the original Farragamo. Wo also has some similarities to Halloween Man X. The performance is great. It lasts. It projects. And as far as designer scents go, there's not too terribly many of them out there that give you a coffee note where you can actually pick up the coffee. And I have always loved that about this stuff. I think it is absolutely killer. Not really something that your average Joe is going to be wearing, but if you know, you know.
Now, the next thing I'm going to share with you guys, I know a lot of people are going to eye roll a little bit. And I get it. It's another Rabon. It's Phantom in Red. Yeah, it's Phantom. It's a robot. Uh, I get it. I get it. You know, the whole line is a punching bag for the most part, but Phantom and Red is sneaky good. It has saffron and plum liquor off the top, which, you know, it's an interesting idea. People like boozy notes in their fragrances, so make a a fruity plum liquor. Make that the focal point of the top. Sure. There's also lavender in here. There's technically oud. There's tobacco. It smells amazing in the air. Legitimately, this stuff is is almost intoxicating when you catch whiffs of it. It's just lights out. People enjoy the way this one comes across. It's got that magnetic kind of scent profile to it. the sweetness. Even though it's a Phantom, even though it's a Rabon, which is known for being crazy overdone with the sweetness, this one is actually balanced out pretty well. There are so many other vanilla forward fragrances out right now that are way worse off than this one as far as the the sweet scale goes. I know it's easy to write off. I know the whole robot thing, all that stuff. Like I said, it's easy to make fun of and go, "Oh, boy. Are you six?" This stuff works. This is to me the best in the Phantom line.
Let's go next with another affordable inspired by fragrance. 900 p.m. Elixir by OffNot. $40ish dollars most places. So, not the cheapest Middle Eastern fragrance ever made. Uh, but you get a lot of bang for your buck here. Smells similar to Lal Elixir Absolute. Probably going to be your best bet at an alternative to that fragrance. It does have a good dose of vanilla, but not crazy overdone. The performance is fantastic. This is an easy fall wintertime staple for pretty much anybody. This stuff amazing.
Also amazing. Lom I idio by Gerlon. This is the extreme version though to be fair. You know the oda parfam. That one smells great too. I would say cologne Forte smells pretty good. And it does but limited edition which means good luck finding that one in a couple months. Now this fragrance once again has plum. That is uh what is that? The third fragrance with plum in it so far. H do any of these other ones have plum? I like that note apparently. also has almond, cinnamon, tobacco, and leather. This is one of the best in the entire lineup in my opinion. Yeah, this stuff is stupid good. It has that casual wearability to it. You don't have to think about it. Just grab this stuff, spray it, and go. You're going to smell amazing. But at the same time, it's got like this elegance to it, this luxuriousness to the fragrance where it smells elevated. You could wear it, for example, to the symphony and it's going to work. or at the same time you could just wear it casually to the grocery store. You may smell a little higherend than some of the other people there, but it' work there too. Killer scent must own especially if the stuff gets discontinued eventually that price is going to go. I just don't trust Gulon when it comes to a lot of their fragrances. They've killed off too many in this line. Most of them usually the uh summer leaning fragrances, but still.
The next scent, one of the best releases designer-wise over the past 5 years. Another absolute must own in my opinion. Before that though, we have some codes coming in. Ah, there you are. These are also in the description so you can just copy and paste anytime you shop any of these stores. So, we're talking Gemma Shop, Frag Flex, Perfume Box, any of these stores. If you're looking for designers, niche, clones, whatever, use those codes, save yourself some cash.
Next fragrance, Boss Bottle at Absolute. Boss Bottle at Absolute is a monster. It smells similar to Parfoms to Marley Carile. Amazing puli note in here. It is not crazy earthy like hippie pichuli, but it does have an intense deepness to it compared to most pichuli and designer fragrance. Probably going to appeal more to guys that are at least like mid to late 20s and up, I would say. Amazing evening scent. Super classy. This stuff is perfect. I wouldn't change a thing.
We need something fresher up here. I'm realizing pretty much everything right here is like fall and winter for the most part. So, put this old dinky bottle Polo 67 Extreme up here. Newer release. Absolutely lights out. Polo 67 Extreme. Fantastic. It's got a solar accord in there. Uh, thankfully doesn't smell like sunscreen. A lot of times that's what happens with Solar Accords. A little bit of an aromatic feel just like the other Polaro 67 fragrances. A great opening of pineapple and citrus. Very attentiongrabbing from the opening into the dry down and ultra versatile as well.
Another dupe, this one from Elixir and this is Glacia. I think that's how everybody pronounces that, right? They just go Galacia Galati. Galati. And with this fragrance, really, you just need to answer one question. Do you like vanilla and caramel? The answer is yes. You will like this fragrance. It smells similar to Bianco Latte. The performance is great. The quality is extremely high, as pretty much all of these elixir fragrances are. It's one that leans definitely unisex. Like ladies can pull this off just as easily as men. This stuff topnotch.
All right, next up, let me give you a two for one just really quickly. Also going to do a giveaway as well in just a second. How about two fragrances with iris? Code parfam right here and then reserve pa right here. So reserve pave is more like the Dior Omen intense style of iris. A little bit more creamy, a little more classy. It also has a nice booziness, woodiness, and chestnut as well. Quite possibly the best in the entire gentleman lineup. Code Parfam instead leans more toward a a fresher iris, especially off the top. You have citrus in there, tonka, a little bit of woodiness as well. It's a fragrance that you would think is going to be dead of winter. Heavy, rich, but instead it's more like spring, fall, potentially summer evenings and winter. It is killer. It is good. You're good.
I swear I'm almost done with the iris here. Lal parfam up next. This is the evolution of the original LAL. Made more of a fall, winter, eveningtime scent. Very classy. Has a nice spicy addition as well. But then it has that lavender, has that sweetness, that vanilla that's in there that's going to tie it in with the OG. And the iris that's in here kind of along the edges just adds to that that sexiness, the depth that the fragrance has.
The next one you may think of as just a clubbing fragrance. Aeros. This is the parfom. Of course, not just a clubbing fragrance. And to me, if we're talking the odo twile tolet, the odarfam, and the parfom, this is the best one. Now, it's going to give you that Aeros DNA. Of course, you're going to get the tonka, the vanilla, the mint, the citrus, all of that coming through. But Aeros perfume is just deeper, more elegant, less scratchy, less screechy. Fantastic performance as well. So, you can spray this on early in the evening, not even have to think about it. And even though I own an absurd number of fragrances, you wouldn't think Aeros would get any play, but there's a decent dent in this little bottle right here.
Another inspired by one, Mirage Absolute. This by French Avenue. This one smells like Latex Lucif. And it's one of the better fragrances in my opinion that French Avenue has ever done. Even though it was put out into this Mirage line without too much thought behind it. I think what I mean by that is they didn't try to like, you know, position this as kicking off a whole new line or anything like that. They were just like, "You're a Mirage Absolute. Hope you like it." Frig. Yeah. Amazing quality here. The only real issue with it was it was really hard to find. Why did it go that way? You're supposed to go that way. Pretty easy to find nowadays, though.
And it is the number one fragrance you should look for if you want a Leon exclusive or honestly just a Leon clone at this point. You got to have Lunar Rosa Black. It just the rules. Lunarosa Black kind of a little oddball fragrance, you know, because you look at everything that's come after Lunarosa Black and it's basically like, oh, okay, Lunarosa Ocean and again and again. Oh, and how about an Odaparfam of carbon? That would be good. How about we take Lunarosa Sport and give that a new bottle? That'd be pretty sick. And then you have Lunar Rosa Black just sitting there like, oh, did you guys forget about you did? Okay, cool. I'll just uh I'll just hang out here until you come by and shoot me in the back of the head one day and discontinue me. No problems, guys. I think but for now, the getting is good. And so, Lunar Rosa Black has to be in here. As I mentioned a number of times, smells kind of similar to Bulgari Black and also Midnight in Paris. Both of those fragrances discontinued and they are both amazing. So, this right here right up there with those top-notch.
Mabia by Latafa. Another cheapy right here. This one smells like bicillian smoking hot opening is absolutely electric for me. Now it may not be for you. This may not be for everybody. It's got a big apple shisha note right when you first spray this on. It's like candied sugary tobacco and I am in love with that. I love this fragrance. Also uh Venino Black by French Avenue. Just as good.
So I may have lied to you earlier when I said I was done with the iris. I'm not. But after this one I am. Our Ciso Rodriguez Blue Noir Parfam. This is like the forgotten Iris. Okay, everybody knows Dior Intense. Everybody will wax poetic about Valentino Womo Intense, Gentleman Odaparfam, Gentleman Reserve Py, or any of the other gentleman fragrances before it went to society. People talk about those three like they are the Chimera of Iris, just those three heads right there. But this one, it can hang with those. It's just as good. So, what are we dealing with here? Well, it's got cardamom. It has iris, cyprus, musk, suede, tonka, some of the other notes. It has an actual note breakdown. Of the fragrances I mentioned, it's probably most similar to Valentino Womo Intense. Again, not born in Roma Intense. That's different. The original Womo Intense. And this one you can find at discounters for between 50 and 65 bucks depending on size. Absolutely worth it.
Final two fragrances before the giveaway. Burberry Hero Oda Parfam the most wanted. So Hero Oda Parfam. This is in my opinion the best Hero fragrance so far. It perfectly balances everything out to where it's wearable but interesting. The cedar that's in here is great and that nice bit of sweetness from the ambery resins that it has just elevates this one further. And then the most wanted. What can I say? This style of fragrance crazy popular right now. That sweet gourmand adjacent kind of scent profile. You know, stuff like stronger with you, to a lesser extent, Jean Pogatier Scandal, things like that. This right here kicked that off in a big way for it absolutely rules.
A big old 200 mil of Reserve Py. So, your bottle will be four times bigger than mine. Yeah. If you want to get your hands on some high quality iris, got this right here for you. Nice.
