I set out to create the most accurate Anthony Edwards build in NBA 2K25. First thing I noticed was that the game calls him a two-way inside out ISO creator. So, we got the exact build name that 2K gave him.
Now, A is listed at 6'4 with a 6'9 wingspan. So, we went with those exact physicals. Now, obviously, Ant is a shooting guard, but for icon purposes on 2K, I went with my build at point guard. Either way, it does not affect the attributes at all.
Scrolling through his badges, he has a ton of bronze, silver, and gold badges, but the only Hall of Fame badge that 2K gave him was Hall of Fame posterizer. So, the decision was easy. We had to go 85 vertical, 96 driving dunk, get Hall of Fame posterizer. And y'all know this is one of my favorite ratings on the game, one of my favorite badges on the game because you can just absolute body bag your opponents with 96 drive and dunk. And that's exactly what an Anthony Edwards build should have.
Now, to go along with all those silver defensive badges we just saw, the game has him rated at 87 perimeter. So, we're going 85 perimeter, get the silver badges, 91 steel, and then with the 6'9 wingspan, the highest block we could get is 67. So, we miss out on the bronze chase down artist by one attribute, but we're keeping it as authentic to Ant as possible. You're going to be locking people up like the elite two-way player Anthony Edwards is.
But here's where the big surprise came in for me. I was very surprised to see Anthony Edwards mid-range rating is only a 77. But then I started to do my research and diving into the actual statistics behind it. Not only was the mid-range shot his least attempted shot this season, it was also his most inefficient shot this season. He attempted about 600 shots in the paint, about 800 three-pointers, and then only 200 mid-range shots, converting only 37% of them. So, to keep it as authentic as possible, we're going 77 on the mid-range. And that's not to say you can't make shots with a 77 mid-range. Obviously, with the badges that we're going to have, you can still shoot your mid-range shots, your front fades, and stuff. It's just not going to be quite as consistent.
But Anthony Edwards did lead the league this season in total three-pointers made, shooting at almost 40%. So, in order to get all these gold badges, you're going to go with a 92 three-pointer. That's as high of a three ball as you could possibly go on the 6'4 with a 6'9 wingspan. That's going to get you the gold dead eye, the gold set shot, the gold shifty, and then of course the silver limitless. And depending on what takeover you run, that could boost your three-pointer even more. The 92 three combined with the 96 dunk is a very effective combination.
So, those of you that want to see what the entire build looks like, this is what I came up with. 6'4 with a 6'9 wingspan, 96 driving dunk, 92 three-pointer. You got the 85 pass accuracy, 95 ball handle, 86 speed with ball, 85 perimeter, 91 steel, 67 block, 95 speed. Not only is it an authentic Anthony Edwards build, but whether you want to play Wreck, ProAm Park, it's a build that can play all game modes because of its two-way nature, ability to shoot, and to finish.
