How to set up your school community.

The first thing we're going to talk about is how to keep members engaged in paying. Number one, why do members stick around? There's multiple reasons, because human beings are very different. Some people do things for certain reasons, and some people do things for other reasons. Some people will stick around because they like to feel like a part of something. So, as long as you always have a north star and you're always continuously reminding and talking about that north star, that collective goal, they will feel a sense of community. Others stay around because the community helps them, because they get feedback. Others stick around because they like the new courses and the new information that comes every week. Others stick around because they get feedback from you or your team. So, there's multiple reasons why people stick around.

A couple of strategic things you can do is have some sort of onboarding form and off-boarding form. What this means is when somebody joins your school group, you want to ask certain questions about why they joined and what they need help with. When they cancel, you send them a form that says, "Hey, if you want to cancel, just fill out this form and we'll cancel you right away." Well, that form has a few questions on why they're leaving. You then download that data into a CSV file. You upload it to ChatGPT data analysis and you say, "Hey, tell me the number one reason people are joining. Tell me the number one reason people are canceling. Tell me the biggest thing people need help with." And you can actually start to understand, okay, this is what my people care about. Now, if any of you are in GCU, you'll notice I post a lot of questions. I'm always poking and prodding my members trying to figure out why they're here, what they're struggling with, what they like, what they don't like. That is a very valuable thing to understand your members.

Another thing that you can do is you want to give them some sort of challenge where it's like, okay, you come in and you want to be able to do this thing. And this can come in the form of an actual, maybe a challenge that you create for them. It also comes in the form of them getting a feeling of dopamine when they level up, which is built into the school platform. The other thing is you want to get them a quick win when they come in the group. So there's this tactic I know called the phantom offer. Something I've used for years and it's pretty much like if you need a sale right now, like let's say you're in a pinch, you just need a client right now. And so I teach them that and they get a quick win and now they're like, "Oh well, I should stick around."

So these are some of the reasons that members stay engaged and keep paying: they have a sense of community, a sense of belonging. They get feedback and help from the community and you or your staff. They get a quick win or they get some sort of gamification or challenge where they continuously get a hit of dopamine from staying in the group. The final reason why people stay and keep paying is results. You get them results, which if you do all that other stuff right, they should get results.

Let's move on to setting up your school community. Now, Carla, who is the community manager of our school community, actually set this up. Our site's already set up, right? So, I can't set it up from scratch. So, this is the about page. Now, because I'm lazy, I have not put our VSSL right here, but you can totally put a VSSL right here. Um, see, you can put a link to Vimeo, Loom. I like Loom or YouTube video right here. And what that's going to do is if you send people directly to your school site, that's where they would view it because we started selling this before school started doing accepting payments on the school platform. So we accept it on our own platform and then we just like zap people over to school or we manually add them. But if we didn't do that, then I would have our my VSSL right here. So that's kind of why this page is unused, but you can do that. And then you put the description here.

Okay, moving on to the classroom. Classroom's pretty simple. When you go to add something, it'll say new course. So this is where you would upload your training. You hit new course. You title the course. You put a course description. You can choose all members have access. This would mean anybody in your community has access to this. Only some members have access. I think this means you have to manually add them, like manually granting them access to it, whereas all members have access here. And then finally you have members of a certain level. So see how you have levels right here. What you can do is level one, level two, level three, level four. These courses you can unlock when people hit a certain level. Now levels are determined by likes. So, see how you see these 4,488 points? I'm level seven. So, if I get 4,488 likes on my posts or comments, that brings me to level eight. Now, you don't have to load level two, three, four, five, all all the way up to nine right away with new content. You can do it over time because it takes a lot of points to get to level five, six, seven, let alone eight or nine. So you don't you can start with maybe two, three, and four. What we did was for level two, we do a 30-minute personal brand, which is an AI-based prompt that allows you to create a personal brand with the help of AI in 30 minutes. Level four is my personal formula with coming up with instant pitches. Level five is a seminar I recorded on how to scale with writing a book. And then here you have your leaderboards.

Okay. In the uh classroom when you want to add a course, you add it and then it's very simple. You just hit edit set, delete set, add module. Uh you click the little button, you know, you add the video, you change you change the title, you put anything in here you want. It it's all really very very simple in terms of adding courses.

Okay. So to give you an example here, uh let's take uh I don't know this one. See module one module two. And again you're just adding video links. The video plays in here. All right guys, welcome to um you know that's it. Now what I like to do is this is how I structure it. I have a get so I I I structure it so when you log in there's a get started um course per se and when you click on that it's really just hey here's what to do to get started. So, you register for the next onboarding call, it tells you, and then go to the community welcome post and read that, right? And then note, if you need money now, watch the Phantom Offer master class. And then there's a little PDF guide for uh getting started, what courses to look at, etc. So, that's the first one. The next one is the live workshop recordings. And what this is is every time you do a new live workshop, you just dump it in here. You take the you take the recording and you dump it in here. And this is all of our workshop recordings right here. And what I like to do is I like to take the um transcript of the training and run it through a ChatGPT prompt which gives us big takeaways. Um and then I put the transcript here. That way people can kind of look at it and go, "Oh yeah, I wanna I wanna watch that." Right? Like that's something I want to watch. Or if I go to um Instagram sales mastery, this was a two and a half hour workshop I did. Um again, big takeaways, you know, and these are the big things. That way you can kind of like wa look at this and go, "Oh yeah, this I want to do this. I want to go through this. And then for resources, you can add a resource like a PDF. And so for here, I added my uh my gear list that I currently have, which is funny because this gear list constantly changes because I'm always buying new stuff. But this is like my minimum gear list right here. And then what I do is for the third one, whatever your quick win course is, you put it on the third one. So again, get started, live workshop recordings, quick win, right? And this is the quick win. That's how I like to do it. All the rest are just courses. Just courses that you can create. And you don't have to create a bunch of courses. You could literally just have these three and you could just add more stuff. You can also, like, for instance, we have a a coaching program. It's a 12-week coaching program called Offer Kickstart. Like if I click on this right and I hit edit course, notice how it says only some members have access. When somebody buys this coaching program, we s because they get GCU included with it, they're already in GCU. So what we do is we just add them manually to this and it unlocks it. And when it unlocks it, now they have all the modules. So, if you have like a higher ticket thing that you sell your members, you can literally just put a course in there, put in your content, put in your coaching call recordings, put select only some members have access, and then when they buy, you just manually add them and it's a done deal.

Okay. Um, yeah. And then you have a calendar where you can set up um you know your your calls and when your next call is, when your next workshop is, etc., etc., etc. Um and it's that's really it. It's pretty there's not much else to it.

How you get 90% engagement with level up content is you create a really cool course. What I like to do is I just like to take something people might already know or I've already helped with, but I give them something that allows them to do it faster. Templates, cheat sheets, AI prompts, something like that. For instance, let's see the 30 minute personal brand. That's level two content, right? So, if they engage in the group and get promoted to level two, this now becomes available to them. And so, here's a 30 minute personal brand. So what you do here is see all you do access starts at level and you select two. That's it. That's all you have to do. So now if somebody hits level two and you have level two selected, anybody that has level two, this will just appear and it's all automatic. And I'll just show you just so you guys can see metrics. 90% active. 90% active. That is really really good. This is where you see your percentage of members, all that good stuff. So that's it.

So when you do live calls, here's what I suggest. You got one of two options. You can either do a workshop where you teach something and then you take Q&A at the end or you can do office hours. So I'll give you an example. Let's say you guys join Get Clients University and let's say you never heard of it. And I said, "Okay guys, every week there's going to be a call with our copywriter to help review members copywriting." And then there's going to be a call with Joe who helps you with your operations and just takes questions, office hours questions related to operation, hiring, firing, etc. And then there's a call with our media buyer who talks about Facebook ads and we'll review some members Facebook ads. And then there's a call with me where I will go overall marketing strategies and offers and you just ask questions. How many of you would be like, "Yeah, I mean 97 bucks a month. I get support. I can hear other people solve their problems and it's just these calls where you just have open Q&A. So what we do is there's a call every week. Joe teaches one new way to operate your business. I teach one new marketing method, one new way to get clients and then I take Q&A. See the two ways like one way is you just do office hours where you answer questions. The other way is you have new content. Now, for me, one of the reasons why right now I'm doing the new content method is because I want to at least do that for a while so that the actual university fills up with courses and workshops like I cover every spectrum. Now, once I say to myself, okay, I've covered everything that there really is to cover. Now, these people just need to master it, then we might switch to the office hours model. But I always have something new to share because I'm always experimenting. So, for me, it's just natural to teach a new workshop. You see what I'm saying? Like there's so many different ways that you can do the live calls. It's up to you where you shine, where you think your people get the most help. So you're either going to do some sort of just office hours where you give support and answer questions and coach people and people watch you coach people, which is very valuable, or you teach something new every call, every workshop, or a mixture of both.

The next lesson is the magical welcome call that retains and upgrades members. So I'm actually going to play this video for you. How we do this is Carla every week does a welcome call. It's a Zoom call for new members and she introduces herself. Hey, welcome to GCU. I'm going to play a video from Dan. Dan's going to show you how everything works. He's going to welcome you and tell you the best way to get started and then I'll come on after the video is done and I'll answer any questions you have or if you need help with something specific, I'll tell you where you can find it. And that's how we run our welcome call. So, it's a three-part call. It's a simple introduction where you introduce yourself and you wait for people to pile in and you tell them you're about to play a video from the creator. The second one is the video from the creator. And the third one is open Q&A. And this really gives people a warm and fuzzy feeling because they're not just buying a membership, logging in, and no, they're getting an experience. The video that you record, what you want to do is you want to introduce yourself. You want to tell them why you created what you created and then how to get the most out of it, where things are, etc. And then what you can do is if you have a upper tier or a higher ticket program, you can sort of passively mention it. All right, you guys can see this. By the way, this is 12 minutes, so I'm going to play it. So, here you go.

Hey everybody, welcome to Getclients University. My name is Dan Henry. I'm the founder of getclients.com. And you've made a super smart decision. And here's why. You joined this community because you likely want to make more money. Maybe you even want to become a millionaire, and you want to do that by growing a business and being an entrepreneur. And that is exactly what this community will help you do. So, I want to be respectful of your time. So, I'm going to keep this video super short and sweet and tell you what we're going to be covering in it. First, I'm going to tell you why we exist, what our purpose here is at getclients.com, and then I'll show you how the community works so you know how to get the most out of it, where the courses are so you know where to go to find the training that you need, how the live calls work so you know how to get on them, and how to watch the recordings, what training to start with, which I will briefly share, and then Carla can answer any questions you might have when this video is done and show you where you specifically need to go and then also how to get more help if you need it. So, allow me to properly introduce myself. My name is Dan Henry. I am the founder of getclients.com. And I'll quickly share with you how we grew a multi-million dollar business. And hopefully you can take something from this. So, I was a nine-to-fiver for seven years straight. I worked for Pizza Hut for seven years delivering pizza until one day I decided I wanted to become an entrepreneur. And I started small. I had side hustles. I did affiliate marketing. I had an Italian ice cart, airbrush tattoos, I worked at carnivals, I did all kinds of stuff until eventually those side hustles allowed me to save enough uh save up enough money to buy a bar and restaurant. And I was able to take that bar and restaurant, which was in a terrible location, and using online marketing, which is that's where I learned online marketing because I needed customers for my bar and restaurant, I was able to build that business up and actually flip it for a multi-six-figure profit. And I thought I had achieved the American dream. I thought that I had done it. Especially being so young, I looked so young, people didn't even believe that I owned the establishment. That was until the IRS tried to take that dream away from me. They hit me with a $250,000 tax bill. They disallowed all my expenses, liquor, food, employees, rent, electric, everything. And I had to provide receipts for everything. Unfortunately, the accountant that I had that had all that stuff died during this process and I couldn't access the information. And so, I had to dig my way out of this horrible financial hole. We couldn't buy food. We we had to sell water bottles on the side of the road one time just to keep the electric on. It was very very very difficult for me and my family. And as a man, I could not provide for my wife who was working three jobs just to help us make it through. And I felt horrible, terrible as a man that I couldn't provide. And so I grinded it out. I figured it out. I got better and better. And I had to get so good at what I do that I beat them anyway. And I was able to build a multi-million dollar company through online marketing strategies. And that is what I want to help you do. I want to help you get so good at the strategies that you need to know to grow a business that no matter who tries to take it from you, they can't take it from you. They just can't because you're just that damn good. Because that's what I had to do. And so that's what I want to help you do. But I want to make it shorter for you. I want to make it easier for you, and that's why I created Get Clients University. Now, I'm about to log in and show you the community, but keep in mind, we used to charge tens of thousands of dollars for these very programs. And I'll be honest with you, I made my back. I am financially stable. I made very good investments in real estate, way better decisions than I used to make. I don't need to overcharge you. And so now we offer all these same programs for a very low low cost. And so please keep in mind that these are very high-quality programs that used to be charged a lot for. So take them seriously even though we try to keep this community very affordable. That said, let's dive in and show you around Get Clients University. All right. So this is Get Clients University and how this works is very simple. It is an incentive-based community. That is why we are so engaged. If you take a look at our metrics, you will see that we have 89% active members. That is an extremely high above-average engagement level. And the way we do that is we incentivize you to engage in the community. And here's how we do it. If you look at this leaderboard right here, you will notice that there is a group of people who have points. And they're up on a leaderboard. Well, when you get enough points, you start unlocking new levels. When you get to level two, you'll unlock the 30-minute personal brand, which is amazing. It has like all these AI um prompts for you to create your brand. It's it's it's fantastic. Level three is the social media domination deck. Another AI-supported uh course to help you create social media content. Then we have the instant pitch formula, scaling with books, and then there's, you know, more that will be added. And the reason for this is we want to encourage you to engage and work your way up the leaderboard so you can unlock these courses. As well, when we do the live calls, we will pick people who that week or that month are ranking high and we will bring them on the calls in the second half of the calls to give them free coaching. So, you can actually earn your way to free coaching and more uh more content to unlock by

Having a high score. The way that you get a high score is by getting a like. This could mean that you created a very helpful post, or you had a comment that was helpful and people liked it. And so, by engaging and being helpful, that is how you are going to work your way up the leaderboard.

And you will notice that we have a ton of wins. Um, I mean there's just people all throughout here who are making, um, who are making massive progress in their business. So, I highly recommend that you engage and you not only ask for help, but you be a valued member of the community and you contribute. You have a superpower. You have something that you're good at, and we want you to contribute. We want, you know, we want your superpower in our Justice League. Um, as well, you have your kryptonite. You have things that you are not good at. And so, we want to connect you with the right people and the right content to help you in that journey. Okay.

So next, after we have the how the community works, we have where the courses are. So that's in the classroom. You click on the classroom, and you'll find all kinds of courses here. Um, for those of you who have premium products or services, maybe you are, uh, maybe you have legal or accounting services. Maybe you are a coach or a consultant. Maybe you sell, uh, events or masterminds, high-ticket selling, right? Uh, if you have a course, an online course. Here's sold-out courses. Um, you know, the point is you you'll see a vast variety of programs in here, and all you have to do is click on them, and you'll see the videos, you'll see, um, all the lessons, you'll see any downloadable materials, everything you need right there.

All right, so next, uh, how do the live calls work? Well, it's quite simple. If you go over here to the calendar, you're going to see a, uh, a calendar of upcoming calls. Now, when you go to the classroom, you'll see this, uh, right here says live workshop recordings. Live workshop recordings. Click on that. And the very first lesson will say how to attend the next workshop. And this will be a little instructional on how to get on the next live call. We have calls, uh, almost every week. I do a call where I teach you one new way to get clients. My COO Joe does a call where he teaches you about business operations because he's a suite-level operations guy. And then we have Hernand who does a call every month on Facebook ads, meaning he's going to show you ways to launch and scale your ads. He's going to look at some members' ads and give ad reviews, etc., etc. So, there's always something going on to help you grow your business.

And if you want to look at the past, um, trainings, they're all right here where it says previous workshop recordings. We have, uh, branding, email selling, uh, Instagram sales, video sales letters, uh, metrics, uh, this last one was a Facebook ads training, and we, I mean, it's just a ton of amazing stuff. Ton of amazing stuff. Okay.

So, that is where you will find the live workshop recordings. And then in terms of where to start, um, Carla can go over this a little bit more for you if you have questions here in a moment. But if you are selling a high-ticket product or service, definitely start with high-ticket selling. If you have a course, start with sold-out courses. Um, if you want to get a quick win, and I recommend everyone do this. If you want to get a quick win, you want to get leads now and potentially sales now. 100% the very first, uh, course you should go through is the Phantom Offer. It's only 26 minutes long. Literally, if you do this first, it will get you a result that, uh, hopefully will pay for your entire GCU membership for years to come. Uh, our aim is is to help you do that like right away. And if you look in the group, you will notice a ton of people get immediate results with the Phantom Offer. So, I highly recommend you watch the Phantom Offer training, really, no matter who you are, like right away. This has the potential to get you leads and sales in the next 24 hours if you do it. So, that's really where everybody should start is the Phantom Offer. Um, you know, if you need help with productivity, there's legendary productivity. Uh, I mean there's a lot of stuff in here, and Carla can help you navigate if you have any questions here in a moment.

And that finally brings me to where to get more help if you need it. Now, every month you're going to learn new ways to acquire clients, run your business, etc., etc. But if you are having trouble with your offer, meaning you're not really sure if you're in the right business, you're not really sure if the product you're selling is good and the messaging around it is good, and you think you might need to make a change to it, or you're just not really sure what to sell, then I would recommend you go to offerkickstart.com. offerkickstart.com. And that is going to show you a 20-something-minute video which I'll show you right here. Uh, and if you watch this video, it's going to really help you understand at least my framework and what I've learned from all the eight and nine-figure guys on how to create a great offer. So, this is a probably where you should start anyway because it'll help you really polish your offer. And for those of you that need more help beyond what GCU offers, you need actual coaching and handholding, if you scroll down, you can, uh, book a call with our team. We have a program called Offer Kickstart. It's a 12-week coaching program where you'll work with Carla twice a week to really help develop your offer. Carla has been my offer creation coach for I think six years now. She's worked with over 200 clients. She's very, very good. Obviously, this is an additional charge, but again, this is not a hard sell. If you need the help and you want the personalized coaching and you want the handholding, then you can go to offerkickstart.com and you can book a call here. If not, that's totally cool. Enjoy GCU.

So, that said, I'm going to hand it back over to Carla, and she'll take any questions that you have, tell you about some upcoming events that we have here. And, uh, man, I just I really appreciate you all joining and becoming a part of this community. We want you to stick around. We want you to become a valued member, and we want to make this the number one entrepreneurial community on the internet and hit our goal of 10,000 members. So, I want to thank you for being part of that. I'll see you on the live calls.

One thing I forgot to mention that I just noticed when I heard it was the fact that, uh, I say, "Hey, Carla's going to tell you about some of the upcoming events." And then she says, "Okay, in a week, in a month, in two days, this workshop's happening." Which is something that is different every time because different things are happening. So that is the magical welcome call.

Next is how to take payments with school. So in your school site, if you go here to subscriptions, I think it is. Yeah. So, you hit add price, you click this button, it'll connect to your Stripe account, you set the price. Like, for instance, let's go to the school games here. And I'll just go to some random I don't know what this is. Dylan's inner circle. See? Join 97 bucks a month. Okay. And you click on that and you put in your card number. Boom. That's it. Simple. Then what you do is once people join, you'll get a payout amount here. Again, we don't process on school, so that's why ours says zero. Then you just pay out. I mean, that's it. Like this is what it's like a 30-second lesson. It's very, very simple.

So, next is how to take payments with third-party funnels. So, let me show you how we do it. So, we use our own software called Deal Engine, and it's like a funnel email marketing software, which we also offer. So, if I go to, for instance, websites here, if you go to getclients.com, you'll see a sales page which looks like this. And it's funny because I'm breaking so many rules here. You have to actually read this entire sales page, and then I have one button at the end, and you click that, and it has a two-step order form, and bada bing bada bang bada boom. That's it. And then as you can see here, they buy. And then what we do is once they buy, if you go to inside of Deal Engine, if I go to the dashboard, and you can set this up with any other software if you're not using this, you can set it up with Zapier. There's a bunch of different ways you can set it up, but the way we do it is, you know, when somebody purchases, we make a to-do. And so when Carla logs in or whoever logs in in her dashboard, there's like a to-do, you know, add member, remove member, etc. But the way that we do this is on the thank-you page, um, on the thank-you page, we just simply say, "Hey, thank you for joining. Fill out this onboarding form." They fill out the onboarding form, which then Carla adds them to the group. She just invites them via email to the group. And the way you can do that is you can hit invite, and you just put the email address right there, hit send, and it and it invites them. You can create automations, like for instance our automation that I create is onboarding reminders. So what we do is they purchase, and if they don't fill out the onboarding form, they just keep getting like SMS's, you know, like, "Hey, contact first name, this is so and so from Dan Henry's office, thanks for joining Get Client University. In order to get, um, started immediately, you'll need to fill out this onboarding form," right, and we consistently remind them until they hit the goal, "GCU onboarding form submitted." So, we build a form inside a Deal Engine. They submit it, and then it's all just nerdy automations and stuff. If you're a marketing person and you know how to use this type of stuff, it's very powerful. Um, but if you're not a marketing person, a techie person, I would highly recommend you literally just process it on school because it's just super easy. It takes you 5 seconds. This will take you 5 days.

Now, we got one more lesson in how to set up your school community. This is really neat. So, whatever onboarding form that you create, you just download the answers into a CSV. And when you do that, you go to ChatGBT, "student onboarding form answers." Um, I say these are the answers to an onboarding form we have new customers fill out when they join Get Clients University, which is a monthly membership site designed to help business owners grow their business online. Let's start with finding the number one reason people join, the most common struggles, and any other patterns you may find relevant to improve our product and marketing. So then it defines the data set and it says reasons for joining, and I was kind of surprised by this. Dan Henry's influence. A significant number of respondents mentioned Dan Henry directly as the reason for joining, either by name or through his work. This indicates his personal brand and reputation are major factors, which was incredibly eye-opening to me because I've never really put a ton of work into brand, which makes me realize that if I did, holy crap, and so we're making a big push this year per brand value and price. So they said, you know, some of the reason is the value because obviously you get a lot for $97. So the number one is coaching and consulting. Number two is marketing agencies, which makes sense because how you market an info product, coaching or agency is literally all the same. The only difference is if you do cold outreach, that's stronger for a marketing agency. Kind of weird to do cold outreach for coaching, but any sort of inbound advertising, organic traffic, it's literally the same process. You you just when you get to the part where you tell them what you sell, you just say coaching instead of agency. Like it's it's the same thing. So you leverage Dan Henry's brand further. It says strong factor in attracting new members. I like the value and reasonable pricing. Appeal more to coaches. And this was very eye-opening to me because I've sort of tried to move away from talking about coaches cuz I wanted more diverse business owners in for no real actual logical reason. Just because I just don't want to be the coaching guy. And then I realized you're the coaching guy. You're literally one of the best in the world at it. Stop being stupid and just help coaches and agencies. Like what are you doing? You know, even ChatGBT is like, "Bro, like what are you doing?" You know, so this was very eye-opening, and I recommend you guys all do this. You literally take your answers, put it into AI, and then you just drill it down more, right?
