Gamers, we're back and we're ready to snack. Emergent tier list, if you will. Now, a some things have changed. Okay, not a lot of thing, well, a lot of things have changed. So, I'll give you a quick rundown.

2TC is more viable than before. A lot of people go 50 stone made 2TC so good. 50 stone didn't do anything if you know it. It's just 50 resources. The spearman are a lot better now against cavalry and you cannot do the knight trick anymore where you do the charge, you cancel and you charge fa, you know, in their face and that makes cavalry styles and aggro way worse than it used to be. But that doesn't necessarily mean we're in twoc meta. That just means we're in basically like a defensive sit in your base meta because any type of aggression I feel is a lot easier to shut down now compared to before.

So let's start with the most obvious one. Jin Dynasty Dtier. Yeah, I mean this civilization even with 2TC being a bit better, I just feel like not having archers or having archers that are pretty expensive is kind of bad to say the least. I think their castle landmarks are pretty underwhelming. Their feudal landmarks are meh, not that great. Their Imperial landmarks, I think, are okay. In Imperial, they're decent, but until that point, it's kind of a kind of a struggle. Uh, we just had two tournaments, actually. We had Homestead Cup and we just had EGC Classic and I think Jyn was picked total of four times out of like hundreds of games. And uh I think it went 1-3. So it it's just not a very good s Yeah, Jin was the only civilization that was not picked in either best of any of the best of seven matches. And it was not picked in a best of nine match. Uh it was the last save to be pe picked actually. So it is definitely the worst right now in the game. And by the way, this save tier list, I'm going to put it based on land maps only. Okay, land maps only. So, we're looking at Dried Arabia, Gorge, and so on and so forth. So, yeah.

Uh, let's do a little S tier. Quick and easy one. Malayan S tier. Now, Malian actually, funnily enough, received a nerf in the recent or the last patch that that happened. Didn't nerf Malian. They made their cattle ranches 125 wood. But because now the meta is slower, the spears are better. That kind of favors Malian and it's very good for Malian because now you have a lot less saves at all in Malian just free cowboom and even if you do get attacked you have javelin dons which is really good. And then in castle you could just spam sofa dons sofa musafarati and just overwhelm with your economy type of deal. Or just go sofa archer which is really really strong comp for Malion. Mali, I am pretty sure, was the most or second most banned civilization in the last two tournaments by far. It had over 100 bands uh combining the two tournaments. So, yeah, it it just it's just very good. It's it's very very strong. And I actually have not played against Malian in a while in practice and tournament setting because it's just been permanently banned.

The next civilization, the most banned civilization in the last two tournaments is Ottoman. Actually, I'm not sure at Homestead, but in AGC Classic, Ottoman was the most banned civilization. So, a lot of the things that uh you'll see now are the outcome of the spear change. So, this is why whenever you change a core unit in the game, whether that's a spearman, an archer, a man-at-arm, or spinner knight, or you know, villagers, you can completely change the game because it affects every uh single civilization in the game. So spearman getting buffed makes cavalry saves or just aggression a lot worse because uh horsemen and knights suffer the same right against spearman faster brace. But also even if a civ is not affected by it uh a civilization like Ottoman that's a bit slow but that kind of powers up also benefits from these kinds of things because when the game slows down and the meta becomes a bit slower, these civilizations that are a bit slower tend to get on top, right? So obviously if like the meta becomes super all in and super aggressive then French is going to be really good right. So Ottoman and Malian probably in my opinion the strongest in the game right now.

Uh, the next civilization we will be discoursing is going to be Mongol. I'll put above Jin. Uh Mongol is like known civ to be pretty bad on land maps but I feel like it's not as bad as Jin. I actually played two or three games recently with Mongol where I played them on land. Uh, and I just did like a tower rush into Cashic Archer. It's not amazing, but I feel like it's not absolutely terrible. And I feel like if you hit some cool tight timings, it can be very, very good. And obviously, Mongol on hybrid maps is S tier. And it had the highest win rates in the last tournament, but it was played only on hybrid maps except I think one game. So, Mongol on hybrid maps, S tier on land maps. I'm going to give it a C tier.

Next civilization we will be discussing another easy S tier is going to be China. China is a civilization that can amass crazy amount of spears. It can amass crazy amount of archers. Someone asked me early in the stream why is China good? It does like I don't know what's bad about China. 20% extra resources on everything. It has uh four extra villagers in Imperial officials, right, that you basically get uh from Imperial Academy. Your landmark, all of your landmarks are just really good. You produce faster, you can upgrade faster, you have taxes. Uh it's one of the two civs that still go for pro scouts. It ages up really quickly. It tech switches really quickly. I just don't really know what the disadvantage of China is. I I feel like it does everything really, really good. And China is still played with pro scouting. I haven't seen people try too much because I feel like China even without 2TC is already good enough. So 2TC maybe pushing it a little bit.

Next civilization we will be discussing is going to be French and uh it's been a while since I put French in a tier. Now I was picking French as my first or second pick. That's because I really like French but it was probably a mistake in the long run. I think French is just not as good as it was. It is still pretty good uh because you have faster worker production and obviously having knights and feudal is good and it doesn't mean you cannot play at all with knights but it is considerably worse compared to what it was. So sadly I think after a long long time of French being in S tier it is going to go down to a tier.

Uh, next, another easy peasy civilization that we're going to put is right there. Jushi's Legacy. Another easy S tier. Uh, Juicy Legacy about a month ago probably wasn't S tier, but with the changes that they have received with the uh rework of the landmarks and people kind of trying out different things and trying meditation garden. Honestly, Jushi is very simple to play. You make jungan tower, you make production around it, and you make units. That's it. I I mentioned earlier that aggression is not as good as it used to be. Aggression is usually tied to like cavalry civilizations, but because they have Zuganu and the amount of units they can spam, very similar to China, you can just overwhelm your opponent. Doesn't matter who you're facing, like Zuganu, spearman, horsemen, you can make billion units and you get units for free on top of that. So, it is very, very strong. And people still go for pro scouts, but you also don't need to. It's kind of um kind of can go both ways.

Next civilization is going to be let's do Roose. Uh a bit of a comeback. A bit of a comeback. Now, I'm not ready to put Roose in S tier, but I think Roose is very very strong right now. And um so I was practicing with Anotangan quite a bit and we were practicing Roose matchups uh quite a bit because we were always picking it and like you know I'll give you an example like day one we would pick Roose fifth and then day two we're like okay that's pretty good we would pick it fourth and then day three we were picking Roose like third and then the next day we were picking it second and we were kind of realizing it is very very strong and what's also strong with Roose it actually has two play styles that are very good and very viable and they both include Kremlin. So, Kremlin was recently buffed where you get a hand canoner in in castle as well as the two goblins and the cost is reduced. So, you can either go fast castle with Kremlin uh and just into horse archers or 2TC Kremlin is also super super strong because you have big walls, your food gatherates are really good with roos with Kremlin's hard to attack. I feel like um it's just very very good. I don't know if it's quite an S tier because when I look at these sibs, I'm like, yeah, they're quite a bit better than Roose, but it is pretty pretty good.

Next civilization we will be discussing is going to be English. Um, you know, I'll give it a C tier. Um, I think TTC English, funnily enough, um, I feel like all the civilizations that go to TC have improved quite a bit. I feel like English I I don't know what's wrong with it, but when I go 2TC with other saves, it feels very smooth. Like my income is pretty good. With English, it feels very slow. Like once you get to 36 farms, it's really good. But before that, I feel like you're just giving full map control to the opponent for them to do whatever they want. So, I'm going to give them a C tier. uh together with Jin. I think English was uh the lowest p civilization in the tournament. I might be wrong on this. Someone can fact check me, but I think it was Jin, English, and Tuc Dynasty. Uh that was picked the lowest amount. Yeah, I just feel like the only play style for English is 2TC. And then if I want to go to TC, there's so many other saves I can do. Uh I can pick and go to TC instead of that.

So, next civilization we will be discussing is going to be uh touc. I mean, let's just slap it right there. Don't think it's quite as bad as Jin actually. I think TCL on land has some potential like it has maybe potential to go higher. I haven't played with it too much. Yeah, I would say it's a it's about a C tier. I think Tuplux Imperial is completely overpowered with the raider elephants that just have million health as a horsemen, but they're not a heavy unit. But I think before that, the civ uh is a little bit awkward. But I can see the world where TCL goes uh you know B tier, maybe a tier one day as this kind of more passive meta and 2TC meta is coming in. That doesn't mean that everyone's going to TC every game, but they're a very slow s and slow meta should be good for them.

Japanese, uh, I'll put it in B tier. Japanese fell off, brother. I don't know where I put it last time, but, uh, Japanese I feel like fell off pretty hard. There are some players that still play Japanese uh, and they're very good with it. One of them is Puppy Paw, actually, but I feel like Japanese fell off pretty pretty hard. The funny thing is Japanese is mostly played as like either a dark age pressure into a fast castle or dark age pressure into massing units or just straight up fast castle. The problem is in the current meta I feel like both of those things are just not very good. Massing units in feudal I feel like a 2TC civ can just beat you. So most of the time Japanese goes fast castle into mounted samurai. But if you do a full wall as a 2TC player, the Japanese player cannot really put any pressure and then you have 2TC and then you castle yourself and you're more than fine. Um, so yeah, I feel like fast castle styles in general are not as strong as they used to be. Uh, and the reason for that is you used to be able to punish to town center with fast castle. That was kind of like a soft counter. Another reason for that is you would go fast castle and mass knights and then do animation do not the animation casting but do like the charge cancel and kill the spears. But now that you can't do that, spears can actually just defend the knights. So that whole thing doesn't really work as well anymore.

Next one is going to be JD is like a weird spot right now. It it's basically French, but you have a lot better super early pressure because of uh JD. So you can get archer JD or melee JD and you can actually put some heavy pressure on some of the civilizations and be pretty pretty annoying. But long term I feel like French is kind of just better. So yeah, we'll put JD in B tier similar to French.

Um, let's do Lancaster. Lancaster going up quite a bit. Again, Lancaster might become an S tier civ, but for now, we're going to be talking about uh Lancaster that, you know, 2TC styles are a lot better. And I even did a Oh, I did a 2TC build in a tournament against Vortex where I went Lancaster Castle. It just feels like very defensive 2TC civilization, but with manners. Uh, you can go early farms and you can boom your economy quite quickly. I feel like if you want to do two DC styles, Lancaster is probably one of the best ones.

Next civilization, another easy clap S tier is going to be a Byzantine. Uh why is Byzantine S tier? Uh the reason it's S tier is very simple. Aggro saves are nerfed. Uh Byzantine is an infantry civ until they switch to catifacts later on. It's a slower civ. Slower styles are better. Defensive styles are better. Byzantine is a very defensive civ early on once you're set up and once you have like 10 15 farms and you can just constantly push with cataprack longbow for example and just their power spike is really really strong and I feel like they can also punish two TC civilizations because they have the chiropractor uh you know their version of ram that has range attack basically or semi-range attacks it's very hard to deal with so yeah is S tier

Next civilization we will be discussing thing is going to be Sang Goku Daimo. I feel like Sang Goku is uh still pretty good. It has fallen off because uh cavalry nerfed, but also we've seen mounted samurai nerfed. We've seen Yatai nerfed. They got nerfed quite a bit in the last patch. And initially, I thought they're going to be much lower because of the amount of nerfs they've received. People are kind of placing Goku similar to what it was, but you kind of have to keep your yatai alive. you can't just like, you know, go fast castle with no units cuz all your yatai die, your economies dood do. I feel like Sangoku has a lot of potential. Um, it's just a bit hard to protect all over the map with yatai. But if you manage to keep map control and put a lot of pressure on the map, I feel like your eco is still quite good and um with Matsuri as well getting like the 5 10 15% and so on is pretty pretty good. And by the way, mounted samurai owls are still insanely good. Uh, with daimo, it's just a bit harder to mass them like baboon and just get free wins.

Next civilization is going to be Macedonian dynasty. And oh boy, uh, I was not sure until the last week of the tournament where this civ is. One day I would feel like it's broken S tier. One s, one day I would be like it's a B tier, one day I'll be it's an A tier civ. I'm going to settle on a tier. And it might be a bit of a surprise, but I actually think Macedonian dynasty is very bad into 2TC civilizations. I don't think Macedonian can punish 2TC saves because their units are very strong, but their economy is very bad. And in order for them to get the upgrades and get silver value, it takes time. And by the time that time passes, then the 2TC civ I feel like kind of outbooms that that whole thing where you go horsemen into fast castle and then Ridari and then you just kill everything. Ridari got heavily nerfed. Macedonia got nerfed multiple times in the last patch or the patch previous. I can't remember. I do think it's very strong, but I do think it has fallen off. And by the way, this order of these saves doesn't mean anything. like I I don't know exactly where I would put um what I would put where, if that makes sense.

Next civilization is Golden Horde. Yeah, Golden Horde. I'm just going to put in a tier straight up. It was S tier in my opinion. Very recently, but it has fallen off cuz I don't know when the last time I did a tier list was because there's two tournaments in a row. But I feel like with the whole to good and Khan again, it's a very big part of their play or kesh and harassing and you know killing spearman and picking off spearman. It is uh a lot harder than it used to do that kind of harassment. They also got their uh stockyards nerfed. It's cost 275 wood which is a lot. I mean that's that's like it's a lot of wood. Okay, you might think it's only like from 250 to 275. It's not that big, but it kind of adds up if you're slowly trying to add them one at a time. But overall, I think it kind of fits into this meta where it's like I'm going to secure the second stone. I'm going to secure the deer. I'll put up a tower. I'll harass a little bit with Torid and Khan and I'm just going to sit back and chillax. And that's kind of that civilization in general.

Bum bum bum. Delhi B tier. Yeah, I I I don't think Delhi is a bad civ. I just uh Tower of Victory was changed. It's now a blacksmith and the attack speed is finally fixed. I don't think Delhi is bad, but I don't think Delhi is good either. Uh because all these civilizations above, if I knew the opponent is picking any of these civs, I wouldn't be like, "Yeah, I'm going to pick Delhi into it." Do you know what I mean? That's the issue. Like Roose, there's a lot of civilizations here that I would pick Roose into specifically. There's some that I wouldn't, but daily, I feel like if I wanted to counter a civ, I would rather pick some other civs to counter it instead. So, yeah, maybe it's like a B+. You know what? I'll give it a B+. I'll give it a B+. How about that? Cuz I like Delhi. You know what? I putting it in A tier. I think it's a very strong civ into certain s. So, I bet has mostly been picked as like counter saves in the drafts, but I do think it's still a pretty strong civ overall. You can allin with Iubid with Desert Raiders or you can go fast castle and you can even do 2TC nowadays with IUID, a super super fast 2TC. It kind of fits into that. And I've seen so many variations of the different wings. Like we've seen gamma wing, we've seen military wings, eco wings, fast age up wings, 2TC, you know, fast castle lancers. We've seen so many different styles. And um I is very good into certain saves. Like I think I is very good into Roose, it's very good into uh French, into JD, it can be pretty good into singu. And um but there's also some civilizations that I wouldn't want to play it into. But that being said, I think if you want to fast castle and contest relics or get relics first, I is one of the best saves for it.

Next civilization. Now we got all the gold league saves. Now you guys are ready for this. Let's talk about Abbisid. Wow. Has this has this civ shot up, boy. It is right there in the heavens. And uh honestly it's a B tier or Ctier. We've seen a administration wing recently buffed or administration wing was changed I guess. Yeah. It doesn't really do anything. Okay. So Avisid is a civilization that is like the 2TC civ, but it actually isn't that good at it compared to the other SS. Roose is way better 2TC S. Lancaster is a way better 2TC civ. I would say even like Ottoman is better at 2TC and I think that it just has a lot of bad matchups and because their ageup takes so long, going 2TC can feel pretty uh pretty bad. I don't know. I'm going to give it a C+. I I just don't think it's that good. It was not picked at the tournament like almost at all. And if it was picked, it was picked at the very end. So C++ it's better than English of these sips, but not that great.

And now for the last three. So these civilizations these days are kind of played more or less the same, I feel like. And I'm trying to see where to put them. Like they can these two can stay one TC or go two TC. Obviously KT is basically just 2TC angle. I'mma put OTD in BT. We might change. Hold on. OTD B tier. I actually think OTD is better than Absidet. If you want to go 2TC, I think they scale a lot better and their units are just way stronger. HR I'm going to put in B+ cuz I do think HR has a lot of potential. I don't think HR is quite there. I'm going be honest. Maybe maybe it is here, but I think HR has potential because there was some builds that I was trying out in practice with HRE that actually worked quite well and I don't think I got to play a single game in a tournament with HRE. There was one series where I was picking HR in land maps and it just kept getting sniped. But you can do some weird stuff with like 2TCH or into Burgra or like even one TC army into Burgra, but I feel like you're still very vulnerable as a civilization. Actually, let's put it here. Let's put it Btier. Let it cook there. And last but not least, in gold league, this civilization is the most overpowered. That's what I was told by uh Twitch and YouTube viewers. Is dominates everybody in gold league and for that reason we're going to put it into B+. Wow. KT, we've done it. We moved away from Dtier. So, why am I putting uh OTD, HR, and KT here? 2TC is a lot better than it used to be because of the spearman. H3 spears are strong. OTD spears are very strong. KT funnily enough because Okay, so this is a bit complicated, but because the night saves are not as strong as they used to be, the infantry saves are now more popular. So like all these saves are basically early on their infantry saves, right? So the night meta dominating this kind of over and KT benefits the most. And I've always said this, KT is opium water because you gather a lot of wood and then because of that you get food. But on land with KT you used to make spearman horsemen most of the time to deal with night saves and it was too food heavy. So you actually don't get the benefit of chopping trees as much as you do on water. But now because you're going spearman archer and you're massing archers, you're getting a lot more value from chopping trees. So it it doesn't feel as bad as it used to be, if that makes sense. And um I feel that once KT sets up and once they start printing units, they're really really strong and you kind of want to be in games where you're massing orchards because you want as many villagers on wood as possible basically because you will also get food because of it. We're going to put it in B+ for now.

Now, what do I see changing in the future or the meta changing? S tier saves are going to remain S tier saves. I'm pretty sure A tier is going to remain this way. Maybe Lancaster or Roose will go up. I think KTH HRO OTD might go one up, but I wouldn't expect it too too much. In general, I think now the meta is at at least at the top level is kind of like safe play. uh do some harassing with your cavalry, but don't really commit to anything if you're going to even potentially get damaged and just sit back with your spearman archers while harassing and then eventually when you get a good pickoff, couple of good villagers or a timing, go for a push and it's a GG. Um, and that's kind of what we've seen in the last tournament quite a bit, especially I feel like in the finals. It was basically whoever was being defensive, I feel like had an advantage and whoever was the one attacking ended up losing the game. Obviously, it's not literally like if you attack, you lose the game. But I do think that the current meta is strongly favoring defensive players. About a year and a half to two years ago, we had the 2TC meta. This is not necessarily the 2TC meta. This is just two TC/ more defensive kind of style play meta. It's not not so much like everyone's going two TCs. So yeah, we've had about a year year and a half of the Pro Scout meta where it was like very aggressive uh out on the map, you know, trying to punish your opponent, fighting over resources. Those days are gone.

That is it. Thank you guys so much for watching. If you're watching on YouTube, I hope you enjoyed the video. I hope you learned something new. And by the way, no gold players were ever harmed in the making of this video. And uh if you're gold league, platinum league, diamond league, or even conch one, two, or three, this tier list probably does not affect you in any way, shape, or form, this is for, in my opinion, for the top level. And uh you're not losing your games because your civ is a tier or Btier or Ctier. Unless you're Jin, then you're losing your games cuz Jyn is Thank you for watching. for watching live. Let's keep going.
