The thing that you keep asking Allah for, the thing that you're crying for in dua, and the thing that you're begging for in salah is actually already written for you. Otherwise, Allah wouldn't be putting this desire within your heart. And that's why Allah says right here, "no disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that is already in a register before we bring it into being." Which means that if disasters are already written, that means everything else that's good for you is also already written.
But the reason you haven't seen it yet is because you're delaying it with your own hands. It's because you're not yet the person ready to carry that blessing. And that's why Allah says, "Allah doesn't send a change externally. For example, abundance or health or marriage or success until you change internally from the inside." So change at the soul level. Change your reliance, change your gratitude, and your purity. Which means you must become the person ready for the blessing to receive the blessing.
And today in this video, I'm going to show you exactly how to stop delaying what Allah has already prepared for you. So that next time you're making dua for more money, you're making dua for a spouse or for health, you'll be getting it accepted faster than last time. That being said, let's get started.
So Allah says, "your Lord says, call upon me, I will respond to you." When I read things like these, I'm like, automatically this is a divine law within the universe; otherwise, Allah wouldn't say it. So it's like a 100% thing that's definitely going to happen. Same as gravity. If I take something and I drop it, it's inevitable. Same thing with here, which means if you call upon Allah, you'll be receiving the same exact thing that you're calling Allah for.
But then why is it sometimes that you make dua and then nothing happens? If I'm saying that this is Allah, just like gravity, why is it sometimes you make dua, still nothing happens? Now the problem is not the dua. The problem is who are you making dua to? Most of you guys, you think you're making dua to Allah, but you're not making dua to Allah. Let me explain.
So imagine you're asking Allah for a beautiful spouse, okay? And then you're begging, you're crying, and then you plead. And with every dua, you feel even more desperate for the spouse. But then here's the truth. In that state, what's happening is that you're not calling upon Allah as he revealed himself. You're calling upon your own idea of Allah. And then you wonder, it's like, "what the heck?" Allah says, "Call upon me, I will respond to you," and here you are. You're making so much dua, not a single response. You're telling me Allah said something that's false in the Quran? Impossible. The only explanation for you is that you're making dua to someone, an idea that's not even truly who Allah is. This is a version shaped by your fear, by doubt, by scarcity. Because if you truly knew Allah, you would trust Allah in the promise that he made: "Call upon me, I will respond to you."
And the prophet, he actually also said, "Call upon Allah while being certain of his response." But most of us, we call upon Allah being uncertain of the response. Because if you truly knew who Allah is, there's no way that you wouldn't be certain that Allah is going to be accepting your dua. He says, "Do not delay your dua by doubting the response. For Allah has guaranteed the answer in what he chooses, not in what you choose, and at the time he wills, not at the time you will." If, if God, bro, God, the creator of the heavens and the universe, said, "I'll give you exactly what I choose, something way better for you, and in my own timing," that means you have no say anymore. If that means whatever you want is already like it's already little compared to what Allah is trying to give you.
So in reality, in reality, when you're begging with desperation, you're not really worshiping Allah. You're worshiping your own fears. Allah is not a harsh master that you have to start convincing. Allah, as he says, karim, Allah is karim. Allah is al-Jabbār, the most generous and the one who always responds. So if you knew him, if you knew him truly, you would ask with 100% complete certainty, and then you would just relax. You would relax because now you know that what you seek is already, it's already on its way.
And this brings us even deeper. So when you attach too much desperation to the dua that you're making, what you're doing is that you're building a veil between you and the gift that Allah has prepared for you. So because in that state, you're not truly relying on Allah. You're relying on your own worry, your own fear, and your own attachment. And anything you rely on besides Allah, what's going to happen is that Allah is going to start showing you its own weakness because Allah wants you to only worship the one creator. So now when you're worshiping your own fear, your own desire, your own uncertainty while you're making the dua, Allah is going to start coming and telling you and showing you actually why the dua is not being getting accepted because you're putting too much attention on those things and not any attention on Allah himself. So he also says, "nothing delays the gifts of Allah like your illusion that you must bring them yourself."
So when you beg and you panic after dua, you're no longer making dua to Allah himself. You're making dua to an image you created in your own mind. An image of a lord that withholds from you, of a lord that delays, of a lord who stings you; like that's what you're making dua to. But Allah is not like that. Allah says again, "call upon me, I will respond to you," which means for sure you'll be getting a response. And the prophet, he says that dua is worship itself. Meaning when you truly call upon Allah, you must call with complete, complete certainty. If the God of the heavens and the universe can just do this and things get accepted, that means that you should be believing, believing with your own heart that Allah can do this and things will be getting accepted. And such certainty, that's the bridge between you getting, between you and you getting your request. The one who is inwardly calm after dua has truly relied on Allah. But the one who is restless and desperate after dua has relied on himself. Because your own ego, bro, your own ego knows that you shouldn't be relying on yourself. Your own ego knows that you have limitations. And that's why your own ego is getting all these fears because you're putting all of your attention on something other than Allah.
When your heart becomes firm in trusting the promise of Allah, what you asked for starts moving towards you without you even chasing it. And that's why Allah says, "your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is he displeased." So that's the thing again. When you're making dua to Allah, understand exactly who are you making dua to. And if you still don't know who Allah is, that's what the Quran is for. Go back to the Quran, bro. Go back and read it. And then you'll, you'll realize like Allah is way different than what people are telling me and way different than what I expected Allah to be. Next.
So when you're praying for a blessing, wealth, marriage, healing, peace, whatever it is, understand that you're praying for a higher quality or a higher reality. So realize every blessing requires a container. And right now your soul, it might, might not be wide enough or big enough to receive that container. Imagine you ask Allah for the ocean, but you come with such a tiny cup. How can the ocean fit into your tiny cup? That's why Allah says, "Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear." People think this is only for problems. No. Allah will not put things in your soul, within your naps that you can't bear, even if that was goodness. That's why it says right here, "the gifts of Allah descend according to the capacity of the heart." So if you want Allah to pour more into your life than your heart, your trust and your identity must expand. Allah says once again, "Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change what's within themselves." And this is why your dua or with the blessings that you're asking for, they're getting delayed. Now, they're not getting delayed as a punishment. They're really getting delayed as mercy. So Allah is giving you time to become the person who can carry the thing that you're making dua for with gratitude, with humility, with responsibility. Because the same thing that you're praying for, if, if it was given to you to your old self, it would destroy you. It would kill you. Abu Median says, he's like, "if Allah grants before he prepares, the gift becomes a punishment." So Allah in his own mercy, sometimes hides the blessing until he sees that you've purified your soul and you trusted his promise. And then once your heart is prepared to receive it, Allah finally gives you the same thing that you're asking dua for.
Now, I know some of you guys are going to be like, "Bro, please then show me. What am I supposed to be doing?" Here's what you're supposed to be doing. So, step number one is you got to have to in your dua. We talked about this. We talked about this in the beginning of the video. You got to know exactly who Allah is. And you have to again reattach yourself to the oneness of Allah. So before you make dua, remind yourself. And this is not a onetime thing where you do it and you're done. Moment-to-moment basis, you remind yourself who Allah is. So remind yourself, "the one I'm asking has no limits, the one I'm asking has already promised me," which he says, "call upon me, I will answer you," and the scholars they say, "if you knew who you're speaking to, you would never fear a delay," so the action here that I'm giving you is start your dua by praising Allah's names; how do you know who Allah is? Through the 99 names that he himself introduces himself to. So if you're asking for, say if you're asking for healing, if you're asking for guidance. And then this is what you use to anchor your heart first. So before you even ask, know exactly who are you asking.
The second thing is expand your heart. Expand your heart. How do you expand your heart? Through gratitude. A small vessel can't hold an entire ocean. But that's why Allah says, "if you're grateful, I will increase you." So there's a law within the universe that says gratitude results in an increase. An increase in what? Increase in everything. The tongue that constantly says alhamdulillah is the tongue that calls down the floods of mercy. So before asking, spend one to three minutes listing three things you're grateful for. Doesn't matter if you're struggling. Doesn't matter if you're if you if you think you have nothing else that you should be grateful for in your life. There is always something that you should be grateful for in your life. And just having this little shift within you before you ask is going to change everything. So this is going to soften your soul and expand your capacity to receive.
Next, visualize your dua already being answered. And this is what is deep contemplation. The prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he himself says, "for an hour is better than worship for 70 years." So literally imagine yourself living your dua and start feeling the emotion of gratitude as if Allah already accepted it. And then sometimes people come and ask me, they're like, "how can I already feel the emotion that Allah accepted my dua? Like isn't that basically like tricking myself or lying to myself or even like commanding Allah?" No, you're not commanding Allah. What you're doing is that you're trusting the promise. Once again, if you knew who Allah is, you would know that whatever dua you make is going to be accepted instantly, which should already tell you like you should have such a deep trust within you, such a deep certainty within you that as soon as you say it's going to be accepted, which means now you can literally live as if it's been accepted because that's how much trust you have. This emotional expansion, that's what's going to program your heart to finally receive.
And then next, release the burdens in your heart, man. Let go. Reliance upon Allah is the bird's heart, which means it's light. It's trusting and it flies towards what it needs without fear. That's what I say. So now tell yourself, "I ask the king of kings, my heart is light. The delivery is on its way exactly when Allah knows it will benefit me most," and then move through the world with complete certainty. Abdulan, he says, "when you want a door to open, serve others who are still knocking." So while you're waiting for your dua to be accepted, go and serve the creation of Allah. So as simple as giving, as simple as helping someone else get their dua accepted, which is exactly what I'm doing to you right now. And understand what you give Allah writes for you multiplied. And that's exactly how you stop delaying the things that you're making dua for because they're already written. All you got to do is just start aligning your heart with who Allah is and then you'll see those things coming faster, faster into your life.
