And how has your approach to creating impact with colleagues, friends, your community, maybe even with your family at home changed since completing the program?

What really significantly changed since completing this program program is basically my team. There were certain instances where without this program I would have made the wrong choices. I had at the end of the year several interviews and the choice whether or not I would want to keep or leave lose certain members of my team. I think if I did not follow this program, I would have rated my team differently. I would have not I would have been much more biased about signals that were maybe not true.

There was a basically the autonomy of the teams. I noticed that you should have a different angle from the team. You were not so much involved in understanding what the tasks need to be done but you were busy with how does a team need to complete these tasks. You were really involved in making teams more autonomous. You I saw that the psychological safety of your team was really thriving and that intrigued me. I would want to learn more about this.

Great at autonomy and leading initiatives. They can be great at coaching and guiding and sharing knowledge. And engineers uh can be a a whole array of these different elements. And you can have a senior which is really high on mastery and low on the others. But you can also have a senior which is maybe lower on the mastery but because they bring so much team glue and maybe product centric knowledge that their their reason for being in the team is quite high and they're also a senior in and need to be there.

Yeah.

And I think uh you had an experience where you judged someone purely on mastery and then you shifted after a coaching session with me. Do you want to share that with with the audience?

Indeed. Indeed. was a an instance where this happened where there was the request do I want to keep everyone in my team. I'm 100% sure that if I have not had not followed this course I would have removed the glue for my team. I would have broken the trust of my team if I not had looked deeper into the the what my team brought as an individual. If I didn't look deeper into the values and and and the expertise.

And another thing that I noticed you do in that particular situation when you realized it.

You took full accountability of your mistake.

You you you shared it with the team and with people and didn't have the fear of because I made a mistake, I shouldn't be here.

And that showed to me such leadership that you could do that that you could own it and you could improve the situation moving forward, learn from it. That's leadership. It's to be open and to be able to do this.

Yeah. And I mean, I'm a leadership trainer and I still make mistakes because when we're leaders, we're leading people and we are people. And it's not even always just about a mistake. We can be triggered. Sometimes we may say something we didn't want to say. Maybe we weren't as regulated as we normally are. Um because maybe there's other things going on in our life at the same time. um maybe we we think that we're doing the best thing for the team and we forgot to ask the right people and it wasn't the best decision. The leaders that really stand out for me are the ones that can reflect on those moments and not stand in shame of those moments. not not not uh wallow in the shame and protect with a stronger mask and bigger ego, but really say, "Hey, okay, maybe that step wasn't quite right. I'm going to do another step now, and I'm going to take accountability. I'm going to own this. I'm going to have the conversations that I need. I'm going to rebuild trust, and I'm going to ask for more help moving forward until I get it right." And like I said, it doesn't matter where you are in the organization. You can be a brand new leader like you and you've already demonstrated you can do this, but you can also be a seasuit and have these moments happen. And I believe the the biggest leaders or the most powerful leaders are the ones that handle these situations with ease. And is there anything that you would like to uh share with the audience that I have not yet asked or maybe some end conclusions that you would like to share?

Definitely. Well, first of all, I would like to say that it was really unique and special to to have met you, Sarah, to have had this opportunity. And again, it is it is a wonderful course to not only help your team or to help um your family, but also to help yourself. It is good to have actually insights to see where you're stopping.
