Well, well, well. Ladies and gentlemen, [sighs] this channel, the Fantasy Land Football Channel, has been dormant for almost half a year, for almost six months, but it's time to bring it back to life because the NFL season is less than 90 days away at this point. We are less than 90 days away from real NFL football. So, we've got to be doing some mock drafts. We've got got to be doing some real drafts on the stream. We got to be talking about rankings and player takes and all that. So, I appreciate all of y'all who are in here. Let us know who's with us.
Uh, and as you may notice, a lot of you guys on the dice stream will already know Sammy, but Sammy Stacks is with us today for our first real mock draft of the year. You guys will recognize him from the Flock League. All right. Sammy is actually creating content now himself. Sometimes we're able to come together and stream. So, obviously, welcome, Sammy.
Uh I'm excited because uh I actually did a mock draft with you on your channel and transparently like I had so much fun in just trying to get my head wrapped around this year and ADP and all that that I thought, man, I I need to start streaming now. like I I didn't plan on start streaming until July, but it's like I I want to get into some drafts. I want to know where things are at right now. So, I'm I'm hyped to uh be in a draft with you tonight.
>> Yeah, we're going to have an absolute blast. Um getting a little intro to the year, man. You know, it's never too early, you know. It is never too early. We're going to have some fun. And uh yeah, I'm pumped, man. I cannot wait for August.
>> Oh my gosh. Yeah, it's actually wild. Uh, if anybody can give me a countdown. I know Daniel Macy normally is here to give us a countdown, but what is the countdown till week one? I want to hear from y'all.
Um, okay. Uh, what's up Jonah in the building? Ian is in the building. Shout out to Clutch Takes Zam for uh becoming a member over here. He says, "New season, [music] new green gamer tag." What's up Flock Anonymous, Simon Dot, Mark, I see you guys. Danic is here. Trent Styles, Mike is in the building. Fuji, Apple, Ros Luke, uh we've got Dynasty Dude, what's up guys? Welcome in. Uh TC Sports Central is in the building. Uh we just finished recording the first audition video for the Flock League. Obviously TC is in that video. Uh and I'm excited for you guys to watch that soon. But guys, appreciate all of y'all being here.
Now, uh if you don't know, we do have a brand new product available on the Flock Fantasy website. And to all of our Dynasty people out there, I just want to clarify because there has been some confusion. This is not a Dynasty product. This is for our reddraft people. These this is for our fantasy football people, right? Uh this does not include any of the Dynasty content on the site. But uh if you want to become a promo code land season pass member, uh now is the time where you can go out and do that. I will actually make that the pin comment. It's just $34 Sammy for the entire year. I did the math. That's about 20 cents per day. 20 cents per day to get the draft guide, to get my ultra cheat sheet, to get some questions answered on a live stream from me, unlimited flock uh site access, all the rankings, all the tools.
>> I think it's by far the best deal in the entire industry, but that is now available to everybody. And what I am excited to kind of announce today is while today we're doing a mock draft, um, starting as early as next week, we are going to be doing real best baseball drafts. Uh, a lot of you guys probably can't draft on the underdogs or the draft kings or whatever in your certain states. Uh, over on landlags.com, if you are an annual [ __ ] member with Codeland or a season pass member with Codeland, you can go ahead right now. Go to landlags.com and enter the drawing for the Ryan Leaf League. That will be drafting this time next week. A real baseball draft. There's no commitment in season. We're just drafting. It'll be $10 entry. Uh but it actually means something. And if you are a good drafter, then you could probably win some money off this as well. But um I have officially launched. We've done a lot of Dynasty Leagues on um landlags.com. But make sure if you're entering a league, you know, if it's Dynasty versus baseball. The Ryan Leaf League will be the first league we're drafting next week. Really excited for you guys to be a part of these. Um, we're going with the bust themes, by the way, for for land leagues for reddraft season.
>> So, I thought Ryan Leaf would be good.
>> I mean, he's he's one of the one of the best busts of all time. So, I thought
>> a great place to start for sure.
>> That was appropriate. But, appreciate all of y'all being here. Like I said, we are uh the season pass is now officially available on the Flock Fantasy website. One thing I did want to mention is today I am going to give away a season pass to one lucky member in the stream. All you have to do to enter today is simply like the stream >> and then type our code word of the day which is we back. Okay? No spaces, no spaces. So all you have to do is like the stream, type we back. One of you guys will win a season pass for the 2026 season. And if you're on stream right now and you you're going to go out and buy the season pass, if you end up being a winner for the giveaway, I'll go ahead and refund you. So, you can still go ahead and um you know, and and purchase today if you'd like to. But Sammy, appreciate you being here, man. Uh I'm excited to have some fun today.
Here's how I thought we should do our first mockdraft, okay? Because we have an incredible tool on the Flock Fantasy website where we have a mockdraft tool. I think it's by far the best in the industry. But I thought just to start off, we maybe might be better off doing a sleeper mockdraft because I want to kind of see how it will differentiate between like sleeper ADP is different. ESPN flock rankings. So I thought maybe a good start here would be to um to to start with a sleeper mockdraft. Don't don't you think?
No, I think it's a good idea because it gives us a better idea of the, you know, how the uh the the vast community that is currently doing mock drafts on Sleeper are are looking at this season, right? If it's if it's 80 the ADP quote unquote on the flock side is just going to be the average expert rankings, right? So, uh we want to see what what the sleeper the sleeper crowd is feeling. And I think it's I think it's a good idea
>> 100%. Guys, if you want to get into this mockdraft uh over on our Discord, which is in the description, you can actually just type uh exclamation point Discord if you want the bot to give you the Discord link. But there is a mockdrafts text channel. Okay. And this is where I'm going to go ahead and paste the link. I'm just going to say link will be here so everybody knows exactly where it's going to be going. Again, under the land community over on Discord, there's a mockdrafts uh channel. That is where the link is going to be sent. It will be first come, first serve. We'll do multiple mock drafts today. I'm really excited to get back into it with you guys. But that link has officially been sent. So, let's go ahead and fill this bad boy up.
Um, I am very intrigued to see how this first round goes because this is really the point of the year where like nothing is solidified. In fact, like mock drafts today will probably look nothing like how real drafts look like in in August.
100% 100%. Yeah, it's going to be it's going to be wild. This is fun. I did the same thing, Zach. I I streamed my first mock draft of the year uh a few weeks ago. You were you hopped on for for a mock there, and I'm excited to look back on that when we get to the end of August and just see how much has changed because it will be it will be drastically different.
>> Yep, that's 100% correct. All right, the settings that I made for this mock draft. Okay, we are doing a PPR one quarterback start 8. It's the same settings as the flock league. So, if you are out there with a dynasty mindset, this is not dynasty. This is fantasy football 2026 and it is a one quarterback format. So, let's go ahead and start the draft here.
As I feel like based off your experience, is there a clear top six? Like where is the top cut off for people in in their rankings?
It's It's a f It's a top five.
>> Top five.
>> I gave myself an easy slot here at the 105 in this one. Just starting it off nice and nice and easy while as I dip my toes in. Um it is a clear top five. We'll see who that five is. Maybe somebody does something crazy. Um but based on how the mock drafts that I've done have gone, based on what's happening currently in baseball, um for the sickos that are drafting in June, uh it is it is a top five. Bejon Gibbs of course, Jamar Chase, Puka Nakua, and the final guy there will be Jackson Smith in Jigba. Okay?
>> that's fifth in that tier.
>> Interesting. The reason I asked that is because I'm actually testing out on my draft guide the interactive cheat sheet tool that I uh that I've created. Um, which I will be using for every draft I'm in this off seasonason. And I personally would have CMC >> in that top six. It would be a top six for me. Um, I don't think we should play the game scared anymore. And by the way, the the draft guide is incredible. That's one of the main one one of the big things you get with your 2026 season pass with Code Land. Um, definitely worth going checking out. It's the coolest thing we've ever done. But, um, I do think that we shouldn't be playing scared in fantasy football anymore. And the fact that I'm at the 109 and I'm talking about someone that I have ranked in that top tier, I am going to take Christian McAffrey.
Um, I understand everybody is concerned about an injury. I don't know if if you watched uh much of the Fantasy Land content last year, Sammy, but I remember consistently people telling me there's no way I'm going to draft McCaffrey in round one. People were saying in round one, there's no way I'm drafting him in round one. And they said that because he could get injured. Meanwhile, Malik Neighbors goes down for the year and you took him in round one instead. Meanwhile, uh, CD Lamb has a down year and has an injury. The point is, if you don't want to draft a player because you're worried they're going to get injured, then don't draft any player. They play football, okay? They're always going to be prone to injury. Uh, so I'm going to take Christian McAffrey off the board here. When you look at my projections in 2026, Sammy, I've got McCaffrey projected for 21 and a half points. I have his rushing attempts coming down by about from last year by about 40 by about 40, but I still have him over a 100 targets. If you look at five of the last seven running backs who have finished RB1 overall, they have all had at least 80 or more targets on a season. McCaffrey should be an absolute lock for that. of course, barring injury. But anyway, yeah, look, I think I think that it makes a lot of sense for me. He's he's in that tier below just because I think that [clears throat] I think there's enough concern cuz look, the Malik Neighbors thing, it's a freak injury, right? The CD Lamb thing, he, you know, he rolls his ankle, whatever. I think that I think there there there is validity to not wanting to to you know put him in in the elite of the elite tier that I have at the top five here.
>> Yeah.
>> But not taking him in the first round is is is nuts to me.
>> Um
>> I think um
>> that's a conversation with some people.
>> Yeah. I think that and look that's coming off of the season where you people drafted him 101 and then he didn't play, >> right? So there is like that scared factor. I think that this year maybe people will be more into him in the middle of the first round.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh, it's just it's tough, man. I think that potentially his passing like like the passing game doesn't completely go through him this year just with them adding Mike Evans, George KD back healthy, uh, you know,
>> in the middle of the season hopefully after the Achilles tear, these kind of things. But
>> he would have to have a drop like he would have to drop like 5% to 8% in target share for it to be meaningful. only reason McAffrey busts if you get him in round one is because of injury. There is no other reason that he would possibly bust
>> uh with what he's capable of as a fantasy asset. But I understand people are concerned.
Um, now there's another player that people are concerned about and I like if Sammy today if you could tell me Zack the Flock League you're locked in at the 109 and whatever you do in this draft you have to start this way. I would be thrilled. I would be absolutely thrilled that I get Christian McCaffrey at the 109. I'm not playing this game scared anymore. And then you're telling me I get my seventh ranked player. I get my sixth ranked player in round one. I get my seventh ranked player in round two. Again, I don't know what the ADP is like right now. I don't know what best baseball leagues are telling you at the moment, but I'm gonna take Devon Achan here. And the funniest part for me about everyone being out on Devon Achan this year, like, oh boy, the offense is going to be terrible. I'm so sorry, you guys are right. If you're I if you're out there and you're like, the offense is bad. That's why I don't like Devon Achan. I'm so sorry, you're right. Because last year the offense was great. Wait, no. They were bottom third in pretty much every statistical category. And yes, you can talk about the fact that two is a is a big is a big drop down guy. He's going to check down the ball all the time. But can you be honest with yourself if you're worried about Devon Chan getting targets? You're right. So, who are they targeting? Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Wat? No, wait. Hold on. No, you're going to sell me that they're targeting 22 Atwell, Jaylen Tolbert, two rookies, uh Chris Bell coming off his ACL, and Greg Doulich over Devon Han. That's why you're scared because of because of the target share he might get with that receiver room. I just feel like everyone is way overthinking Devon Han. I don't think it I don't think it's bold for me to say this, but maybe it is considering he fell to the 204. If you can start your draft with Devon Aan in round two, no matter what you do in round one, I think you're definitely making the playoffs and you have an incredible shot at winning the whole thing. I really really honestly believe that.
>> So I Zach, I I you know I admire nothing more than
>> your contrarian your strength your strength in this stance. And here's the thing. I look, I have a very special connection with Devon.
>> Yes, you do.
>> The my my my the best memories that I have playing this game fantasy football.
>> Yep.
>> Are because of Devon Hen in the Flock League.
>> And and rightfully so.
>> And rightfully so. He's my 15th ranked player.
>> Wow. Okay.
>> And and I'm going to I'm going to make my pick here and I'll explain my pick after. I'm going to take Chase Brown at 208 with the My worry with the Von Achan is not that the offense is going to suck. He has overcome bad offenses, but Zach, the splits with and without Tua are absolutely terrifying. I'll just read them off here because I do have them down because
>> I I mentioned this in an upcoming video.
>> Over the past two years, he's played 25 games with Tua at quarterback, 21 and a half points per game. insane, phenomenal, like one of the best top five running back, right?
>> Without Tua for eight games,
>> 10 and a half points per game. 10 and a half. He drops half of his points per game when he's not playing with Tua in the Mike McDaniel system. Now, I don't think that I think we can all say that the Dolphins were not prepared to lose Tua in any of those situations, whether it was Tyler Huntley, whoever else they threw out at quarterback, right? It never looked good. My worry is just that this offense could genuinely be one of the worst that we've seen. Like, not even one of the worst in the NFL. It could be one of the worst that we've seen without a quarterback who excels in doing the exact thing that makes Devon Han great,
>> which is the quick hitter, close to the line of scrimmage, short passing game. That's the that's the main thing that Tua is good at.
>> Yeah.
>> And it's the main thing that the Mike McDaniel system allows HN to excel in. And so it terrifies me that this could be a guy who we know is so talented, but the situation just brings him down so so much. And I have him at 15. I have him ranked right around where you took him.
>> Yeah.
>> But it's just it's just terrifying when you look at the other offenses that you're betting on around this range, right? James Cook, Marian Hampton, Ken Walker, Chase Brown, who I took at at the 20 at the 208. It's just
>> So, here's my question.
>> Here's my question.
>> Who's the offensive coordinator for the for the Dolphins? Now,
>> if you're worried about the substance,
>> Bobby Slowick.
>> What's Bobby Sick?
>> Passing game coordinator.
>> He was a passing game coordinator of the Dolphins. And do you remember before that he was the guy who helped Joe Mixon become a superstar in Houston. He is not afraid to work one guy into the ground. And honestly, again, I get the whole concern about about the offense. The offense wasn't good last year. I actually don't think I I would I would I'm not worried about Tua not being there. I'm a little more worried about like Jaylen Waddle not being there. That's I think a fair argument to be made. But at the same time, how does this guy not get a 100 targets this year? And that alone, what is the most valuable thing you can possibly have for your fantasy running backs? The most valuable thing is a target by far. I will take one target over two carries every single day. And I just don't see how there's not an insane amount of design work for him, not only on the ground, but also through the air. He's going to be your feature in every single area. They paid him as a top running back in the NFL. I mean, what happened with James Cook >> after he got the big old bag, right? So, I definitely understand the concern, but I think anywhere in the second round is just completely free money. Um, in fact, no disrespect to where Jeremiah Love went at the 206. I find it incredibly funny that some people have Jeremiah Love over Devon Achan. Uh,
>> well, that's nuts. I'm not I can't get there,
>> you know? So, I'm just trying to make the case like Achan's already shown it many, many years. What is his worst point per game season? 17 points per game. 17 points per game
>> as a rookie probably.
>> Um, so [clears throat] I think you're making some good points. Uh, and it'll it'll be interesting. I'm glad honestly though that there's differences of opinion because too many years we go in and everybody has the same opinion. It's the same opinion. So I'm glad there's difference of opinion here.
>> Yeah, I have him at 15. I still think he's worth a pick of that one two turn. And there's like these running backs, right? like all these it's going to be like a sea of green every draft at the beginning of the second round
>> because you got you got Han, you got Saquon, you got Ken Walker, Hampton, Cook, Genty who went a little higher here. But so many of these guys and I think that I'm opting to take the offenses I feel better about where I think that a similar ceiling exists in a good outcome than with like a completely unproven quarterback and like no serious weapons at all in the offense is an understatement. And that's good for HN in terms of target share, but it's also bad for HN in terms of like you're you're game planning against this defense, right? You're going to be thinking about two things. You're gonna be think Devon Achan and then Malik Willis running. That's it.
>> Yeah.
>> And I just worry that we're not, you know, it's hard. It's going to be really hard for Devon Achan to pay off where if you draft him as like if you're ranking him as RB4, let's say, it's going to be really hard for him to pay that off on a bottom three offense in the NFL.
>> That's um that [clears throat] that is fair. Um
>> yeah, and we don't need to talk about him for the because there are
>> a lot of picks went off the board. I wonder if there's any worth really mentioning. I'll just quickly say Malik Neighbors at the 210 is just far too high for me right now. Um just truthfully like far too high. I'm going to grab uh another running back here. I'm going to start my draft with three running backs. McCaffrey, Achan, Bree Hall. I have a video coming out on Monday for you guys. I'm very excited for you guys to watch it. I imagine, and I could be wrong, I imagine that the majority of content creators are going to be out there telling you that this is the year of wide receivers being reborn. There's going to be a lot of zero RB people, I think. Um, and I I personally believe that NFL trends are actually an important thing to look at. I do believe that running backs are king again, and I will um I will be bringing a video about that on Monday. My strategy will be different this year to it was last year. Um, but I'm going to start with three guys that I think have a chance to have 270 touches the year in in the year. 300 plus touches in the year. Um, and then let's see. I think I've got some really good receivers that I'm lining up for afterwards. I wanted to see how this would kind of pan out. Um, I'm not saying you have to start every draft this way, but I would be pretty surprised if I start a draft without two running backs in the first three rounds this year with the way I view
>> Yeah, I think trends.
>> A lot of conversations will be about which way does it swing because running backs have stayed so healthy. They have been so valuable over the past few years.
>> Um, and because of that, they've been pushed up a lot. The prices have have really risen.
>> Um, when you when you look at how how the landscape looks this year compared to previous.
>> Um, I went with Chase Brown at the 208. He's a guy I'm really really excited about.
>> Yes.
>> I I just think that in this Bengals offense, if they can stay if Joe Burrow can stay healthy, then Chase Brown like he really I think that his his ceiling is the Austin Eckler.
>> 100%. I agree.
>> He's not this He's not this phenomenal prospect. He's not this insane talent, but he's in an insanely high-powered offense that is going to throw the ball as much as anybody else in the league. He has no competition behind him, nothing serious to take any workload away from him,
>> and he's going to catch the ball an insane amount. Tons of touchdown opportunities. So, I love Chase Brown.
>> I love him, too, man. The video I released Monday will highlight Chase Brown in particular because I think he is he fits a criteria for me
>> of one of those guys that can be a league winner. He was a my guy last year.
>> Um, and
>> it was tough, man. It it should have gone better than it did. I think if you don't have
>> if you have if Joe Flacco is there from the start, like if he's the backup week one and we don't have to deal with the Jake Browning stuff, Chase Brown, you know, never never has a bad game, I don't think.
>> Mm-m. Um
>> Um I'm really excited about whatever player I'm about to get. In fact, if I'm able to start my drafts this way, I might be a three running back guy to start. I mean, we're only doing one mock draft here. What a pick from Styles. Styles just dude absolute superstar pick there. And that's my 27th ranked player. I was considering him at the 309. Such a smash. Wow. I'm on the board now. There's two positions I'm really battling between, but I think that this guy is ready to step up into a potentially 1,400 yard season. Um, I think he's ready to hit double- digit touchdowns. Maybe 1400 is a little aggressive, but I think doubledigit touchdowns are within the realm of possibility. I think Dvont Smith is an absolute smash in round number four. Um, I view Dvont Smith as a legitimate top 12 potential finish. Uh, where do I have him ranked this year? I think I have him ranked around 14. So, I think it's a very realistic possibility that he could be a top 12, top 10, top 15, I think is the lowest that he would go. Uh, where do you stand on Devont Devontto Smith? I've I've got u pretty big expectations for him this year. I I'm I'm excited about Devon Smith. I think this is a value for you. Notably, Zach, this is this is interesting. This is way cheaper than he goes on underdog right now in basketball drafts. He's an early third round pick currently. Um people are really really excited about about him having the the opportunity to be the number one there.
>> I I worry about a few things.
>> Yep.
>> I I don't know if he's that like we just we obviously he was insane in college. He won the Heisman. He There's no question that he like be an alpha. People forget, right? Because he's played so long.
>> They think he's small. They think he's not capable. They think he's going to be injuryprone. But he literally is the last wide receiver to win the Heisman what, the last two decades? Like, we haven't seen him really unleashed.
>> Yeah. So, I I 100% agree. Um I do worry a tiny bit about the tiny bit about the passing volume, the passing offense as a whole. I'm a big guy that I'm pushing a Jaylen Herz bounce back, but that's not really because I think he's going to, you know, develop a ton as a as a passer, right? Uh they bring in Mai Lemon, they bring in Eli Sters. I'm excited about Devonte Smith. I don't know if I'm if I'm as bullish as you, but I do think you got a really really good value here.
>> Yeah. Um I think he's going to be a really fun player to roster. I was really between him and and Mecha Ibuka. I am a big Ibuka guy this year. I really believe in what we saw to start the year last year.
>> I do believe that his week seven onwards was a lot of factors. Baker Mayfield was terrible. He was actually dealing with a hamstring injury. A lot of people don't realize he actually played through that which is very risky. I don't know why Tampa Bay did that. Probably because Mike Evans was gone. Bucky Irving was gone. They had like no spark in their offense. Um but what a couple other things I just want to talk about here as we've gone through almost four rounds. And Sammy, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Um, players that I think are incredible values on the board. Number one, you getting Chase Brown. I loved Derk Henry in round three is just the easiest smash to accept. I think this year AJ Brown in round three is truly ridiculous.
>> My 19th 19th overall player for me.
>> He's going to be a second round pick. There is no way he gets out of the second round in real drafts. Okay.
>> Yeah, I I tend to agree with you. Now, I will say on the Malik Neighbors stuff, I thought it was way too high. Um, you know, we don't know if Malik Neighbors is going to play week one. We don't know if he's going to miss four weeks. We don't know if he's going to miss half the season. We genuinely have no idea. And I always I know it's not the perfect comparison, but when I think about Malik Neighbors and his current ADP, I always go back to what Rashir Rice cost last year. Why do I say that? I say that because I think they both have ridiculous upside. The potential to have like a 27 plus% target share on their team. the number one target. Offense is funneled through them. You knew that Rashi Rice was suspended for six games. He had an ADP. If you look at like ESPN and Yahoo, uh Sleeper, he had an ADP of 71st overall. Meanwhile, Malik Neighbors, we don't know if it's going to be less or more than that, but no one's factoring in the risk of his current injury and just drafting him in the second round. I think he should be a fourth round pick. That's when I'm willing to take that risk on him. Right now, the second round is just it's just asking too much, I think.
>> Yeah, it's tough. like we're going to I think that we'll have more information of course once we get closer to the season starting but if he's going to start on the pup which seems like the most honestly more likely than not at this point that's four games and and while he can be you know a top five guy when he is healthy who knows how long it takes him to get there I'm kind of with you I would take the shot in like the late third round I think but it definitely is it definitely is a difficult one so DeAndre Swift goes right before my pick. Oh, no. Yeah, DeAndre Swift goes right before my pick. That's annoying. He was the easily the best running back available for me.
>> Yeah.
>> Now I have a few options here.
>> Loved loved your Jaylen Wadd pick. By the way, if Dvontto Smith was off the board, it was between Igbuka and Wadd for me in the fourth round. I believe Wadd um it's it's another guy where outside of his rookie year, you haven't really seen him dominate target share. the one year Tyreek goes down. Last year, the offense is terrible in Miami, but he still was able to average was like 15 points per game. I think he's got real like 16 17 point per game potential in [music] Denver, which was a very uh high passing volume offense last year. So, I like the pick a lot.
>> Completely agree with you. I'm going to lean into this into this hero running back build. Zack, you're going the other direction. Let's have let's have some variety here on our teams. I'm going to go Terry McLaren as my wide receiver. Four. I love these three picks. All these three picks, these last three picks are just
>> these are the guys I was dreaming about falling to me in the fifth round. Sammy, um just veteran, so people aren't as attracted to them, but have all the potential in the world to finish top 15 again this year.
>> Um yeah, really interesting part of the board. Now, uh, I'm on the clock and I'll show you guys again the cheat sheet tool that I'm currently using. It'll show me my best available ranked players. It'll tell me if I wait on what positions, what will be the most likely next player available. I've got to update some rookies in here. Um, but at the moment, I think I am going to lean towards the wide receiver position again here. Um, and I'm going to go a little Jameson Williams. I'm going to take Jameson Williams at the 509.
Um, I'll I'll do a fun little uh fun little exercise for you guys out there. Guess when I traded Jameson Williams last year in the Flock League. Anybody want to take a wild guess? Um, because I can tell you exactly when I traded Jameson Williams and it hurts my heart a lot. Uh Jameson Williams I believe had his by-week I think it was week I think was it week nine? Okay. So I traded him
>> I talked about it so much I'm pretty sure it was. We
>> I traded him basically. Yeah I traded him during his bye-week and week eight. Okay.
>> Week eight. Okay.
>> That's exactly when I let him go of my team. And in the first part of the year he averaged eight points per game. And Jameson was a my guy. I love Jameson Williams. And I my dumbass traded him. Obviously the Leaporta injury, Dan Campbell calling plays. Then Jameson Williams from week nine on scores 16 points per game. A top 12 finish in that span. 82 yards per game, 21% target share. I don't know if I'm falling into the same trap, Sammy. It's the same thing that I said last year, but I really like I I truthfully honestly believe that there is potential here for you to be getting a huge steal in the fifth round. Uh, it's just like, am I falling into the same trap? My my belief is he's too talented to not be featured again. They will write their wrongs, but I could be an idiot. I I could be falling for the same trap that I fell for last year when I said he's too talented. I know it's a crowd of room, but he's too talented. So, uh, but I'm going to make one more pick here. I'm going to take Jayen Daniels in round six. I think round six is like the hot spot for quarterbacks this year. It's an absolute smash to get Jaden Daniels there for for me. So anyway, I won't keep talking, but what do you think about the Jameson pick here?
>> No, I think it I think it is really really good. Um I I am in on him. Absolutely. I've been in on him all dynasty off season as well. I just think that while it's true that he I just got sniped as well. While it's true that he didn't do anything last year until um the uh the sample week. Yeah, injury.
>> After the bye-week that before the Sam Laaporta injury, Dan Campbell said at the podium on the bye-week that there are some players in this offense that we have not been doing a good enough job at getting the ball to and then he took over play calling and then immediately out of the by-week, JMO had two really big games before Sam Laora got hurt.
>> Yep.
>> So, I'm buying into the fact that he is the he is the third most talented guy on that offense besides behind Gibbs and and Amanra. And I'm just I'm taking I'm making the talent bet on him over over Sam Leaporta. This is the round of the quarterback. Zack, you took Daniels. It would have been really nice to get him at the 608 to pair with uh
>> to pair with Terry McLaren, but I am going to be going Jaylen Herz here.
>> Okay, I love it. I honestly absolutely love it. I think round six quarterbacks are truly a smash. Sometimes Drake May is in there, but it's that tier of like Drake May, uh Jaden Daniels, Joe Burrow, um who else is typically there? I mean, I don't want to like commit sentiment, but it's a mock draft. Like Caleb Williams is is sometimes in that tier as well. But just these guys that you can make a great case for having a top two, top three quarterback finish this year and they're available in round six when typically these guys are actually like fourth round picks historically if you look at it. Um, people are a little bit more scared off by the position overall, but uh, I I love it.
>> Yeah, I think that I think that specifically Daniels and Herz are the guys there that I'm really targeting a lot just because the rushing upside is so high. Um, these are just not quarterbacks that are typically going in the sixth round, a fantasy draft. It's literally just because last year Daniels got hurt, Lamar got hurt, and Herz uh, the rushing came down a ton for him and so we're drafting them in the sixth round. And then every year we're always reactionary and if they have good years next year they'll be in the fourth round like they should have been the whole time. So it really is that sort of you know uh back and forth that we do seemingly every season.
>> So in round six, Bashel Tutin is a fun name to talk about. Uh had a video about him this week. Uh I think there's very good you know bull and bear cases to make with Bashul Tutin. [music] Um, your boy Brian Thomas at the 605. We get Jaylen Warren at the 609, who was one of the seals of the draft last year. We'll see what that looks like now with Rico Dattle. I think the Christian Watson pick is beautiful. I said earlier this offseason, if Christian Watson gets a 20% target share, he will be a steel. He will be it just inevitably he will be a steel. Then Romeo Dobs moves on. Then they sign him to a long-term contract. I mean, it's going to be a little spiky. It's not all that different to like a Jameson Williams actually if you think about it, but um I think he's a great value there in round number six. Marvin Harrison at the 612. I don't have conviction either way on him this year. Do you have any strong opinions about Marvin Harrison at this very present moment in time?
>> I mean, look, it's just that the the situation around him scares me. I think that, you know, Michael Wilson showed that he can do stuff with with opportunity. It's a completely new system coming in. Jacobe Brouset is in a hold out. We could see Carson Beck early in the year. We could see Gardenner Mchu. He obviously is has the talent within him. Will it ever come out? I don't know. I I think it's a perfectly fine bet in the seventh round, but I'm I'm not excited about it, which like I feel like his archetype is that's how you should feel. You should be excited to take Marvin Harrison Jr. and I'm just not.
>> Um I definitely need a running back here. There is a guy that I do like in this range. Um, currently the starter for his team and his uh his RB2 has already been drafted. I'm gonna take Raandre.
>> Okay, Raandre Stevenson off the board. I got to be honest with you. I'm not saying you made a bad pick, but I
>> tell me I made a bad pick, dude.
>> I went into today doing research for a video that we'll release on Monday thinking I'm going to be a heavy running back guy early this year. Then I then I went into this draft with all you guys and I'm sitting here telling myself I am absolutely gonna be a heavy running back guy this year. I just think that the drop off is so significant for these running backs. I actually do love like Chuba Hubard, Tony Pard, but I think Harvey Stevenson Dobbins I think they're tough. Like they're tough guys to like rely on each and every single week. Even a Jarian Price who I love in Dynasty. I think he's difficult to take high. DeAndre Swift, I don't know how much Manongi's role will grow. Um, Montgomery, is that offensive line really going to be that much better? I know they improved it. I I feel like there is a pretty significant drop off for me in expectations for these running backs early to late. And sorry, I'm not saying that you made a bad pick, by the way, Sammy.
>> Um,
>> well, no, look, Zach, that's what that's what we're here for. I mean, I want I want you to
>> to be honest with me and and
>> and you know, we can have conversations about it. I think that with with Raandre specifically, I would have preferred Chuba there. I would have preferred Pard there for sure. I just think that I think that in the seventh round here, when I look at like the wide receivers that are available to you specifically here, like there's one guy I really like, but other than that, I mean, if we're comparing running backs to wide receivers here, like Raandre Stevenson or DK Mechaf, I mean, it's not a, you know, it's not a it's not even a conversation for me. you know, guys like Courtland Sutton's on the board. I think that
>> I'm going to take a receiver that I really love as a seventh, eighth rounder this year in Parker Washington. Um, I have slowly been talking myself more and more into Parker Washington. Um, the reason I can't be allin yet is because there's potential for that room to be so crowded, so confusing that there's there's potential for it to not have a lot of consistency. But like every metric, if you're doing fantasy research, every metric that you could possibly want, Parker Washington is high on. All right, he's one of eight receivers last year to finish top 20 in yards per route run and yards per reception. this notion that he is like a slot only player. I feel like he broke that notion last year. Obviously, it coincides with injuries to the to the receiver room, but he it's not a it's not a wild statement to say Parker Washington has been the best receiver for Trevor Lawrence in the last two years. I don't think that's crazy to say for Trevor Lawrence, he's been the best receiver. Um they've they've spoken very highly of him. I'm kind of if I am on in on Parker Washington, I'm kind of making the bet that the team is maybe uh not going to feature Jacobe Myers as much as they may have wanted to in the past. Um but I can recognize it's a little messy. I I can absolutely recognize that if you're out there feeling that way. Yeah. Look, I think that I think that with him, I just believe so much in Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter. Yeah.
>> That it's really hard for me to see this Parker Washington break up breakout and not just be like, you know, he's Russell Gage.
>> Okay.
>> It's It's one It's one of those things where like
>> Well, I don't think Russell Gage was ever that efficient and effective though.
>> He had a he had a point game season pretty similar. I I remember.
>> Okay.
>> Um but either either way, look, Jacobe Meyers had just gotten on the team, right? Was still learning the ropes. Travis Hunter had an ACL tear. Brian Thomas Jr. was dealing with an injury as well. Sort of everything kind of fell into place for him to to to produce. And um I just it's not a bet that I that I like making. I'm going to be a full fade on Parker Washington
>> cuz he he he does have some big stands. If he ends up like a sixth round pick, I'm not going to be in. But if he ends up like a seventh or an eighth rounder, I think it's going to be hard not to like take the shot in formats like this where I've gone running back heavy early because I do see a scenario where I mean I personally really liked Parker Washington coming out of Penn State. I remember him being a my guy that year in our dynasty rookie report. Um I remember saying things like he had the best hands in the class. I think he's displayed really good hands. He's grown as a route runner. I think there's potential for him just to be a really good player. that is now thriving in a scheme where this is exactly what Liam Conn is asking his players to do. But I recognize there's a lot of risk because it is such a crowded room. But I I just think there's potential that
Like, hey, he's actually just one of the best receivers on the team. I think there's real potential that that could just be the case. Um, but of course, you can make the case against him. I did take Rashad White there at the 804. Uh, I'm gonna have a lot of Rashad White this year.
I love JCM as well, by the way, Sammy. I like both of those running backs a lot. I think they're both really good bets. But Rashad White is one of these guys that I think could be, you know, finish top 10 in targets amongst running backs. If you look at my rookie or my 2026 draft guide, I currently have Rashad White ninth amongst running backs in targets at 72. I've given him a uh 13% target share, which would be a career-high for him. I think he's obviously there because of the connection with Jaden Daniels. If you go back and you look at what they were able to accomplish together at Arizona State, uh, they were able to do great things. There's a pre-built connection there. I love JCM, but he is constantly from this coaching staff vocally being told, "You're not a good enough pass catcher right now." That's worrisome for me. I also believe that there's potential for the Commanders offense as a whole to make a huge 180. People completely forget that just we're just one year removed from them being a top five offense in the entire NFL. I think Rashad White has a chance to be one of these like Javonte Williams. We're like, where did that come from?
Yeah. Where did that come from? You know, it honestly is a good comp. I think that.
I do think that the the money that he's been given is is not um a stamp of of approval. That does scare me a tiny bit, but I don't think that Bill is some, you know, phenomenal player. They drafted Katron Allen in what the sixth round.
Rashad White, I think Javonte is a good comp, a guy who just like people sort of forgot about, cast aside. We were drafting Jalen Blue and Miles Sanders last year because we didn't believe in Javonte as like an eighth to 10th round pick, right? And he just, you know, sort of is the best guy there and he gets a lot of volume in a really good offense on a tiny contract and it and it works out. And I think that Rashad White could be exactly in that mold with the pass-catching role kind of like, I don't know who else. It's it's who's behind him. Jeremy McNichols could be the pass catcher if it's not Rashad White. Like JCM and Kron Allen aren't really coming for that. So, at least I feel good that there is a pass-catching role for him in this offense, even if he doesn't end up being, you know, some 60% plus of snap guy.
Yeah, I agree. Um, look, uh, I'm a Commanders fan. People are telling me that I'm being biased with me taking two Commanders, [laughter] but I will say, uh, Turtles Trade is in the chat saying, uh, Zack taking Daniels is too much risk. I just don't see how that's possible to take any of these quarterbacks in round six and think it's too much risk. I mean, round six, we talked about it earlier.
I mean, look, like we we got to talk about upside though. Like, he said in the same comment that you could have waited and taken Bo Nix, who.
I love Bo Nix. Bo Nix is a great guy if you want to punt the position. But Daniels is like one of three players, I'd say he, Jaden Daniels is like one of two quarterbacks in the entire NFL who could legitimately rush for a thousand yards.
He, it's like him and Lamar Jackson. Like Josh Allen even isn't doing that. [music] Um, so I think we quickly forget how.
Uh, in the sixth round. In the sixth round, it's it's just not the price you had to pay last year.
Yeah. And the ceiling is through the roof. People have completely forgotten what uh what he's capable of, it seems. And and yeah, it's it's going to be an a huge huge target of mine at that point. I'm really happy here, Zach. I played the ADP game. I pushed Bill around the turn. He didn't go. I'm going to get him here in the ninth round. Um.
Trying just try trying to platoon this RB2 spot a little bit. I have Rhamondre and Bill. I'm gonna be loading up on running backs later in the. I'm probably done at wide receiver. I took Addison as my wide receiver five. Um.
I love. We'll see. We'll see how this goes.
I love the Pau pick. I love the JCM pick. I love the KC Conception pick in the ninth round.
That is really good. Michael Pittman for Mike as well. That's awesome.
Those are two awesome picks back to back. But I mean Casey, it's funny to me that Jordan Tyson is going like in the sixth sometimes fifth and Casey's in the ninth. Not to say that Tyson's not worth that, but it's more to put on an emphasis like Conception could easily have a higher target share. And I know the quarterback room is not great there um in Cleveland, but I I think there's a similar case to be made from like if if you're playing like the upside game there. Um, I'm on the clock. I think there are two really easy picks I can make here. Um, I am going to bank that one of these players comes back to me and I'm going to go back to the receiver well and you might like this, Sammy. We're going to take Mr. Moneybags himself, Jahan Dotson. All right, Jahan Dotson is going to be our pick here. If you're not able to secure a bunch of receivers early that you love and that you feel like, oh yeah, these guys can really give me a weekly floor. W like me taking Parker in the seventh, I feel like all that risk is completely diminished in my mind when I take a Wandale in the ninth round because I know I could put Wandale.
In my flex. He's going to give me 10 points a game. He's going to give me 10 to 12 points a game. He's going to be a fine floor. So.
I'll take him. Yeah, there are I I I really like Wandale as well. I think this is a really good value. Um, yeah, I think that I think that with with Carnell Tate there, I do think that helps Wandale not having to.
To sort of like be the guy in this offense. He doesn't really profile that way. He profiles perfectly as a wide receiver too. It's just going to be about whether whether Cam and uh and Brian Daboll can can do enough. I think that TC getting a really good value on Kyle Pitts here. Yep. I I like I really like Pitts this year. I think that Kevin Stefanski coming in um just potentially there being more consistency from this offense, even if it's like Tua, you know? I mean, Tua for all for how terrible he is. I think that he could do pretty good things for Kyle Pitts.
Yeah. No, I I tend to agree. I like the Gamewell pick there as like kind of a handcuff if Bucky.
We've already seen, you know, big upside there from Kenneth Gainwell last year. There's a pick on the board that I uh I just really think is maybe a steal of the draft. Um maybe I shouldn't be saying that because there's still someone to pick before me, but I really think there's a legitimate steal the draft pick available. Uh you and I have talked about this player a lot.
And we've talked about how we think the majority of people are wrong. We could be wrong ourselves. You and I agree. We we agree on this. And I agree.
But the majority of people uh believe this guy is not a good pick right now. I'll make a make a make it make sense in here here in one second. I don't want to screw myself over. But uh let's see what Styles does while I wait on Styles to make a pick. Number one, I appreciate everybody being here with us. Um, hey, starting next week, this time next week, we're going to be doing real best ball drafts that you can be a part of. It'll be no commitment in season. The whole goal is just to draft the best team. It'll be a $10 buy-in. That'll all be hosted over on landlags.com. The first best ball league we're going to go with like bust themes is going to be the Ryan Leaf League. Now, you can enter the Ryan Leaf League if you are a season pass member with the promo code LAND. All right, that's just a $34 purchase. uh get the draft guide, you get the cheat sheet, you get the rankings, you get some vouchers to ask questions on the live stream, you obviously get to be a part of landlags.com uh as well. Um, if you're an annual Motherflock member in on our dynasty side of things, then you will obviously be able to enter those raffles as well. Um, but the reason I say that is because we are also going to go ahead and do a giveaway today for a season pass. And what the heck just happened? Did you guys see that?
Did you just get. Hold on, hold on. Did anybody just see that?
Okay, Sleeper was completely bugging. It It didn't even say Styles had made his pick and then it gave me Trevor Lawrence.
Styles was stuck at like a minute for a while. It looked like. Yeah, that's incredibly strange. Um, but anyway, if you guys want to enter to win a season pass, all you have to do to enter is step one, like the stream. That's step one. Step two is to type our code word for the day, which is WEBACK, no spaces. Uh, and if you decide to buy the season pass right now, don't worry. Uh, if you end up being our winner today, then I will refund your purchase. But I might be incredibly reaching on ADP based off what Sleeper is showing right now, but I think George Kittle is going to be one of the steals of the entire draft this year. I'm going to take him off the board. I realize he was way down the ADP there, but anywhere round 10 onwards, I think is just a ridiculous deal for George Kittle. Um, everybody is talking about how he's injured. Meanwhile, if you actually do any bit of research, if you take any time and any effort to do any sort of research, you will realize that all the coaching staff is saying he could be ready week one. All the uh doctors online who are actually specialized in this saying he could be ready week one. At worst, you are drafting George Kittle who I I would put like a lot of money on him being ready by like what week four at worst, maybe week four at worst, and then you have a guy who hasn't finished outside the top six on a point per game basis any season for the last like nine years. So I know he's coming off the the Achilles tear, but I think he's positioned to be a huge league winner. Like if I don't go a Bowers, McBride, Lovett, I'm probably punting the position and trying to get Kittle in the 10th or 11th round.
That's honestly, Zach, literally, I'm like Bowers. I really like Bowers. I'm not huge on McBride's price. I really, really like Cole Kmet. And then it's like I'm taking these guys in the double digits and no sooner.
Yeah. Um, I kind of feel the same way. They're like, "Yeah, like paying a sixth round for for Tucker Kraft or seventh for Harold Fannon is not something that I'm super interested in."
I love those players, but the if Kittle's healthy, it's probably a similar point per game outcome, don't you think?
Yeah, we've seen we've seen this with the tight end position over the last few years. It's like if you're not one of the top three guys or like, you know, on average per season. Like last year, Kyle Pitts was the tight end, too. He sucked one game.
Like, it does not take a lot to be. To be to be a top name at this position. And there are always always so uh so many guys at the end of drafts that end up producing very similarly. So yeah, I'm I'm with you. I'm with you there. [sighs]
Yeah, I love Kittle a lot. I don't know where he would have gone. Like if I hadn't um. I might have taken him. If I hadn't have drafted him in round 10. I don't know if he goes round 11, if he goes round 12. Like I don't really know what his ADP is, like I said, but I felt like he couldn't fall much further than that. So.
You definitely wouldn't have gotten past my 115. This is what my team has looked like after today's draft. Oh my god, I would love this team in the Flock League. We've got Daniels, McCaffrey, Aiyuk, Smith, Williams, Kittle, Bree, Parker. We can swap out Parker for Rashad or Wandale in the Flex. I mean, I think drafts I think I'm gonna have a lot more fun in drafts this year than I did last year. Yeah, I'm gonna take uh Mark Andrews here.
Love it. I think that he's I think that he's in for a bounce back. Y um. Just, you know, Isaiah Likely gone. I think that this Ravens offense as a whole is being a little disrespected after one down season besides Zay Flowers for some reason. Yeah. But everybody else like Lamar in the fifth and like this is honestly a little early for for Lamar. He falls to the middle of the fifth a lot. And Andrews is the next guy there. No Isaiah Likely anymore. I think that he'll have a uh I think that he'll have a good year. He's one of these tight ends like in the late rounds he could catch 12 touchdowns.
Yeah. Pretty easily, I think. So.
Um, I agree with you. I think Andrews is a big big steal. In fact, on the draft guide, I'm sorry I keep going back to it, but it's just because um I put we we've put so much effort into. I think it's just there's so many great tools here. Uh but in the draft guide, you can easily see my projections. I think Mark Andrews is my tight end 11 on projections at 10 points per game. I have him with about uh how many touchdowns at about six and a half touchdowns. And honestly, I think that's being really conservative. I would really be shocked if he doesn't get at least six touchdowns this year. Uh he has a lot of those big blow-up games, which is kind of what you're looking for at the tight end spot anyway. But with Likely gone, I he's really the main red zone threat. I know they drafted Elijah Moore and and Jacob Harris, but I think Andrews is a great pick there.
No, I agree with you. I think that with the projections, obviously, you have to be realistic and conservative and and. Yeah. You're sort of shooting for like a median outcome, right?
Yeah. But in 10% of outcomes, he scores 10 plus touchdowns, right? Yeah. And that that that um possibility is really exciting. And realistically, like with a 10th round pick, I'm probably going to take another tight end in this draft and sort of just be streaming the position from my bench a little bit. If neither of these guys work out, I'll play it off the waiver wire. I'm perfectly fine doing that in uh in redraft and I don't think that the 10th round is too big of a bet to to be making on one of these guys.
Yeah, I agree. Um Denzel Boston and Jonah Coleman. What we'll do, guys, is we'll go ahead and and end this this first mock draft at the end of round 11. Okay, so this will be the last round. Um, and we'll get to another mock draft because I know a lot of people want to get to another mock draft. Um, and I want to make sure we we hook you guys up. We're going to do a mock draft on the Flock site. I just wanted to get some different perspectives here, look at different ADP. Um, it's hard to know exactly where everything's going to land. Obviously, your platform has a huge part to play in what strategy you should deploy, right? Like if you're on these contests like DraftKings or Underdog or if you're drafting in Sleeper, drafting in ESPN, ADP is going to be a big factor in um in you know, what sort of strategy you should you should take. So it'll be interesting to kind of see how all these different um strategies pan out. What I will say is if you want to join us on the Flock Fantasy site for another mock draft, first off, you can create a completely free account. It's the same link that's in the pinned comment where it says get the season pass. You can create a completely free account. Just make sure you use the code LAND at signup. Um, and you'll be able to jump into that that mock draft with us over on the Flock site. Just make sure you're in the Discord as well. Uh, your last pick, you went with Dylan Samson there.
I went with Dylan Samson. I think that, you know, there's a lot of running backs I could have taken here. I was looking at Woody Marks maybe. Um, definitely wanted a running back. Looking at some handcuff options like a Tank Bigsby or something. I just think that with Samson, there's a chance that this Cleveland offense is a little better than we think.
Yeah. With the additions of KC as well as um Denzel Boston, with the defense getting a little worse, losing Miles Garrett, even though that's marginal, if they can figure out anything at quarterback, I think that Dylan Samson could have a role as a pass catcher, which is not something that Quinshon Judkins has done a ton of, at least as a rookie. And, you know, it's it's an 11th round pick. I don't think that there's a ton of optimism there, but.
You know, Sammy, um I will admit that there are just so many good quarterbacks on the board here in round 11. Uh, Zach, the biggest thing that I noticed doing mock drafts for the first time is I like the quarterback values everywhere in the draft.
Yeah. Like I love this sixth round so much, but then I'm looking at this and I'm like, "Oh my gosh, I can draft Brock Purdy in the 11th."
That's exactly where I'm going here. I hate taking two quarterbacks, but I can't look at the board and and honestly say that Purdy isn't the best value there. Um, but even like Jared Goff, I like this year. Um, Bo Nix, I like this year. Kyler Murray, I like this year. So, I mean, if I wasn't to take Jaden Daniels there at the 604, uh, I I really don't know what direction I would have gone because there wasn't a receiver or running back I was obsessed with picking up there. I was thinking maybe Brian Thomas, thinking maybe Rome. There wasn't a running back I really loved. Maybe I could have gone Christian Watson. So maybe this team looks better if I if I take a receiver there. But I I feel pretty comfortable with the uh with the team that we've built out there. So that is our first mock draft of the 2026 season, but we are going to jump into another one here. Um, so if you guys want to jump into this next mock draft, it will be hosted on the Flock Fantasy website. You need an account. You can get one for free though. Just use the code LAND at signup. It's the same link in the pinned comment there. I'm going to start more towards the top end of the board in this one.
Yeah, I was going to flip over as well. I'll go at. And I am going to put this link in the Discord under the LAND tab uh where the mock draft text channel is. So, this link is going to be sent in there. It will be first come first serve. Uh would love to have as many of you guys in here drafting. What will be interesting is I actually think it's harder to draft a good team on the Flock site than it is on Sleeper because obviously the Flock site is built around like consensus ranking uh on the site. So naturally, it's going to be like a little bit harder to draft teams that you really really love here, whereas like the ADP on Sleeper or if we did ESPN or Yahoo is is much more exploitable. But while we're waiting for that last spot to fill, just want to say a big shout out to everybody watching the stream. Appreciate you being here for the first stream of the year. Uh, a couple things that we do need to note. Number one, the season pass is out. $34 complete access to the site uh for the entire year. That's about 20 cents per day. It's the deal of the century. Not only do you get all the uh draft guides from everybody, you get my my draft guide, my ultra cheat sheet, which had 50,000 downloads last year. I'm sure we'll have more this year. Uh you get uh the ability for me to answer some of your questions on a live stream. You get access to uh join the LAND league raffles. We're going to do raffles for real leagues and best ball drafts each and every week. In fact, already over on landlags.com. We this this site was built to host uh community drafts for you guys. We had a lot of dynasty drafts over the course of the season, but best ball leagues are now available as well. The Ryan Leaf League is available to enter. This time next week, we'll be doing a best ball draft. I'll be in it. Would love for you to join me. Uh Sammy may be in it if he if he wants to. Of course he he could be in it as well. Um [music] and the way the best ball leagues work, which we'll do those through July, then in August we'll do real drafts. Sorry, real leagues. These are real best ball leagues. Um, but the way the best ball leagues will work is you draft a team. There's no commitment in season, right? So you're not doing waivers, you're not doing trades. It's all like it runs on its own. So it makes mock drafts mean something, which is more useful data. It's more useful exercise for us than just doing a mock draft, right? Because people are putting a small amount of money. I think we'll do $10 where their mouth is, if you will. But I am going to give away one season pass today. Uh I said that earlier. And if you want to enter to win a season pass, all you have to do to enter is simply like the stream. And then step two is to type the code word, which is WEBACK. Okay, WEBACK, all one word, no spaces. Um, so let's go ahead and get this started then, Sammy. Uh, this is a PPR. Let's do it.
12 team start eight. It's the same format again as a Flock league where you have two bench spots. And uh I don't mind doing another draft after this. I would love to do another draft after this. Why don't we set a like goal? Totally. Do you guys want to do another draft after this? If you're in the chat.
Um, let's set a like goal. We're at 69 likes. If we can reach 100, we'll pop off another one after this as well. So, let's go ahead and start this bad boy off.
As [ __ ] this game is um. Oh my [laughter] god is uh the the first person here to pick and he goes Bijan Robinson. It feels like it feels like the the top two are in Sharpie this year. I I don't know if you've seen a different top two but it feels like it is going to be Gibbs and Bijan in some order. Yeah, I think that look for me like the the best argument for who could be in there is Ja'Marr Chase, but I think that the vast majority of people will just remember like the bad from last year, not want to do that.
Right? I think that there are enough holes to poke in Puka Nacua and JSN where I do think that it's it's clear-cut. It is very clear-cut for me. Uh yeah, I I I won't be doing anything differently than than Bijan Gibbs one and two.
Yeah. Um, I'm gonna take Ja'Marr Chase here at the 103. I think you can make a really good case for Chase, Puka, JSN. In fact, I would say, now that I think about this, I think the 103 is probably the spot I like the least of this top six because you basically kind of have to make your make your call on the wide receiver one this year. And we are historically, as a fantasy football community, I don't care how good you are at this, we're historically really bad at doing that each and every year. Um, yeah. So, I think I if I'm in the top six, I want one of those first two picks. If not, I want to be the 106. Or if you don't think CMC is not tier, than the 105.
Um. Sure. So, people make that decision for you.
Yeah. Yeah, I think it makes sense. I I do really like Ja'Marr Chase. I think that uh I think that he just has a really big year if Joe Burrow can stay healthy.
How does he not right? How does he not see. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. I do and I do he is my favorite of those three, but but I'm I am happy being at at that five spot and just taking whoever falls like you said.
Yeah. So, this will be interesting because um obviously in our last draft I went three running backs to start. Obviously, that that will be different now as I as I start Chase here. Um, [music] and you know, it's the one concern you may have about Ja'Marr Chase is that Burrow always gets injured and they really didn't do much on the offensive line surprisingly to improve that this year. It just feels like we're on a on a repeat. It's like, oh, this is a scheduled tweet. The Bengals didn't do much at offensive line. Um, but.
Yeah. It it's Joe Flacco as a backup, right? So, you're almost you're almost covered already if something goes wrong there. Well, yeah, there isn't. We don't have the Jake Browning issue probably, right? So, so I I I tend to I tend to agree with you there.
All right. So, in the first eight picks, we have three running backs, the rest receivers, as James Cook comes off the board here. Where do you sit on CeeDee Lamb? Um, do you view him as worthy of a top eight pick, which is where he went here? I'm not saying that he's not. Genuine question because I think I am um based on the reaction of one of my videos, I think I might be not with consensus on CeeDee this year.
Yeah, I'm definitely more in on him than you are. Um he's my ninth overall player. I just do still think that that elite elite ceiling exists for him.
Okay. Um, and and I'm happy with the uh with the floor that being in an awesome offense with a bad defense and a good quarterback provides. Um, so I would still take him in the top 10.
Yeah. Um, okay. You would take him in the top 10. I'm not anti uh CeeDee Lamb at all. Uh what what I would say is I just wonder if we have made his name value worth more than what he's actually worth. I don't know if that even makes sense. I remember CeeDee Lamb as uh his first two years were with Amari Cooper was in town. You remember that? That was 2020 and 2021. So then from 2022 he goes 17 points per game. The next year he goes 23 and we're all looking at this guy who's ascending and we're saying, "Oh my god, this guy is an elite. He he deserves to be with Ja'Marr Chase. He deserves to be up there with with the top two guys. And I don't know because in the last two years you're looking at more of a 17, 15 point per game scorer. I think he is a 17 point per game scorer especially when you have another alpha like George Pickens there. Um so I just my I'm not saying he doesn't have like a 20 point per game ceiling. I think the most likely outcome is like 17 point per game. Uh, which makes it hard for me to justify him in round one. Um, if that makes sense. Like I I would I would be probably more excited about even like A.J. Brown's potential in year two, which is what what you took there at the 111.
Yeah. So, I have a really big tier of running backs here. I was really hoping Jefferson fell because I would have loved to start my draft Jefferson and then one of these running backs. Yeah. Um, but I am I did go with Brown here and I I will be starting running back running back because that's just what this this turn sort of provides you honestly.
Um. I think Brown, you know, he's in a spot where he could have a big bounce back. Uh, you know, obviously that and then I'm with my second pick here. You know what? Let's go double sophomore running back. I'm going to go with Bucky Irving as well. Um, I think that Clint Kubiak, the combination of of Kirk and Mendoza providing some stability. I think, you know, Brown just dealt with like the worst offensive line play imaginable uh last year. This was actually a um Let me You know what, Zach? You you talk about Ashton Brown for for a second. I have something I want to pull up.
Yeah, that's okay. Uh, one thing I was going to say is I am a little surprised to see Jonathan Taylor go in round two. I did not expect that uh at all actually. Um while I don't view him as like a locked loaded top six guy like he is in ADP, I do think he needs to be a first round pick. So I think we might be some people might be getting a little too cute there. But um that's just one man's opinion and this one man has been wrong before. But uh we've got Chase Brown off the board. That's a great pick. Saquon Barkley is a fantastic pick. Ken Walker is gone. Um Jeremiah Love off the board. I don't know, man. I'm I'm finding it hard to be in on Love at his price this year.
Yeah, I like a more two three turn. Okay. Hey, I was going to say I thought Devonte Adams was on the board. I'm like, am I am I losing my mind here? Sorry. 112. Um, really quick on Ashton Brown, the stat that I wanted to find. So, out of 777 running backs in the last 15 years. Okay. 777. Ashton Brown ranks 774th. So fourth fifth last I guess here in yards before contact per rush.
Like it wasn't just it wasn't just that he was getting hit early. He was getting hit early at one of the high like literally top five rate of the last 15 years. And anytime he had any space at all he looked phenomenal.
So. Yeah. Yeah. I I I think Ashton Brown's in for in for a big year too. Love the AJ Brown pick there for you at 210 as well.
Um. Yeah, I was hoping Derrick Henry was going to come back to me. Played the game. Feel like maybe I I might have lost here, but um yeah, AJ Brown at the 210 I think he's going to end up being a second second rounder. I think he's a no-brainer in the second round. Uh the only thing that's stopping AJ Brown from like a top a locked top 10 finish is an injury. I I can't see anything else that would really stop him from finishing.
Unless like the the decline in play is like way more than we think it is. I think he's got one good year left in those knees. I think he's got one good 17 point per game type of season. Like I I don't even know. It's a perfect situation for him.
Exactly. I don't know if like him or CeeDee outscore each other. That's why I keep bringing that name up.
Um. Zach, I will say like doing doing these drafts a little bit, I'm going to like really want one of these top two picks. I think.
You think so? I mean, Bijan, Henry, Nico. It's ridiculous.
It's completely ridiculous. Um, yeah, I I think that's fair. Look, I I know people are worried about this guy right now. But I think Josh Jacobs is gonna be a pretty good value. That is I think I think that he ends up going like like he goes higher than this.
I think so too, August. Like I just I don't think that, you know, there there's no buzz right now about a suspension. Um, if like J like if if nothing more comes out about this, which that like that could be the case, the NFL is not going to suspend him because he was you know, falsely. I expect him to if he does face suspension it would be 2027. If there is even any suspension at all. Like I just yeah, I completely agree with you. I don't think I don't think we see anything this year and right now. His ADP sort of reflects some fear. But but yeah, I think I was just like I was hammering him at the two three turn. I think that the projection is really really good if you ignore all the other stuff.
He was phenomenal last year before he got hurt. Here's why I said I have a feeling that it's going to be harder to draft a good team on the Flock site.
Yeah. Than it is on Sleeper. I say that because, you know, Javonte Williams goes at the 302, which is early, but where did he go? He went at the 403 on Sleeper, you know, Bree Hall at the 309. Um.
Yeah, like AJ 305. That didn't happen. That That's not going to happen here. I love Rashee Rice as well this year. I think he's a great pick. In fact, I think I need to move him way higher compared to where I currently have him because he's one of those guys like projections wise, I'm pretty sure he's top six and points per game for me. Yeah, he's my wide receiver six on points per game at 17 and a half. Um, I just don't know how he's not the complete engine of that offense. So, I think I need to move him up in my overall rankings for sure. Let's see.
What do you think? This is an interesting conversation, Zach. What do you think about the Josh Allen price? Because he's a third round pick all the time, every draft.
Yeah. And to me, and I I'm not I'm not upset with that price, but when you can get Lamar Jackson in the fifth, or you can get Jaden Daniels in the sixth, or you can get Jaylen Hurts in the sixth, or you can get Brock Purdy in the 10th, it makes the Josh Allen in the third price feel a lot worse.
Yeah. Um the thing is he's he's a lock, you know? He's a lock. like you know that if you take him he's going to be one of those onesies that really makes a difference for you and you can't say that about everybody.
I think that you're paying you're paying for Yeah. 100%. You are paying for a little bit of that safety, a little bit of that guarantee.
He plays every game. He never gets hurt. Absolutely.
Yeah. Yeah. So, uh he does come off the board. Remember I got like DeVonta Smith in round four. He DeVonta Smith goes at 307 here. It's just this is the sharper site. This is the if you want it more realistic, it's probably not good to do um it'll feel good to do mock drafts on Sleeper, but I don't think you're going to get as accurate uh accurate as results as you might want compared to Yeah. I mean like if you're if you're if you're in a casual home league and your league is on Sleeper then yeah mock there because that's going to be what you're dealing with. But. For for some more because it makes it more it makes it more difficult. The decisions are definitely harder. I went with Malik Neighbors in the fourth round here. Um for his like.
Round isn't crazy. Yeah. Like that's that's for his potential. This is nuts. You know what I mean? Like like Zack if Malik Neighbors is playing week one. Yeah. Then you would have gotten the steal of the draft. But where would you like take him coming off an ACL tear?
I would take him in the in the second. Yeah. Like I think he's like it's him or Drake London. I think I think he's probably my wide receiver seven.
Yeah. I don't think that's crazy to say either. So So the fact that you know that that I'm going to try I'm going to you know scratch and claw my way through the first four weeks and hopefully he comes back in week five and can be my wide receiver one.
Yep. We get another receiver off the board and Mr. Garrett Wilson off the board here.
I love the two picks right after Neighbors, by the way. Egbuka and Flowers. Those are two two other guys that I definitely could have gone with.
Yep. I concur. Just realized I could actually use my own rankings here. Um, but what do you guys think? Should we should we do another mock draft? Let's put it at 100 likes. Where are we at? We're at So, we're at 79. So, there's 204 people watching, so that should be able to get up to 100. We'll see.
If you want another mock draft, go ahead and like the stream. We got a like goal of a hundi and we'll do another mock draft with you guys here. Lovett the fourth uh is is something I'm comfortable with. Like I said, it's Bowers, McBride, and Lovett for me. And if I don't get one of those three, I'm probably punting the position quite far. Um, not not to say that I'm going to lock myself into that that strategy, but um I just feel like those the guys who have a chance to really be huge difference makers for you this year.
Yeah, I should I do really need to I want to dive deeper into my tight end rankings in terms of like where I have them amongst the other flex guys.
Yeah. Uh just because I think that, you know, there's definitely like an edge to be found there in terms of like what I'm projecting for these guys and and how that matches up versus the wide receivers that go around them. And where I value, you know, just locking somebody up. But like we mentioned with the Kyle Pitts thing, like it's just like it doesn't take a lot to be a top A tight end. It really doesn't. And when there's so many guys that can do it.
Yeah. Like, you know, you and I have talked about like we both really like Chuba Hubbard late. Like, we think that's a fun upside shot. You got like Kenyan Drake who was just a first round pick.
Yep. Who's an interesting upside shot? Rachaad White who's somebody that that that is exciting. You know, there's there's so so many guy. Isaiah Likely on a new team. It's hard for me to be like. It's hard for me to be like, "Oh, yeah. Let me take Harold Fannon in the seventh round." On the Browns. Just historically, those those mid round tight end picks have not really worked out too well. Uh there are moments where they have for sure, but historically they haven't worked out too well. That sucks.
You're a draft star is awesome. I wanted Bucky Irving or Luther Burden, but I thought I want to start Waddle there. Ah, I was hoping one of those guys would come back to me. You like the start though? I mean, Waddle, AJ Brown, I just took both of those guys on uh on the Sleeper draft. I think they're both really really Jaylen Waddle might be my number one my number one guy this year. Like like who I'm going to be.
In on targeting everywhere. Yeah, man. It is harder to draft a team that you love on the Flock side. Terry McLaurin in the fifth, I think, is is good value, too.
We get Carnell Tate off the board. Um. And now you're like, do I take Lamar or do I see what I can get later? I am Lamar is nuts.
It is. It is wild. Yet again, though, I am going to go running back. I'm going to take Judkins here in the fifth. Um, I just don't want to see what running backs are available in the sixth and seventh round before I get an RB2. Yeah, only having one guy. Yeah, it's definitely I mean my biggest like from the last draft I ended up with Rhamondre, Bill and Dylan Samson as my attempt at RB2. It's difficult. It. It's hard to look at. You know, you're really playing with. With fire. You're you're hitting the waiver wire and trying to. Get the first, you know.
I do think um one thing we're really bad at, I talk about this all the time in my content. One thing fantasy football players are really bad at is projecting how offenses change from one year to the next, right? Typically, it's like this is how it was, so this is how it will be. Um, I think the Cleveland offense as a whole is probably one of those areas. There's many areas, but you know, the fact that Judkins was able to average what, like 12 points per game in what was easily the worst offense in the NFL, if not like bottom two, bottom three. Okay, so Shedeur Sanders has a second year. Or we don't know what he's going to be capable of. Who knows? But you add KC Conception, you add Denzel Boston, year two for Harold Fannon. I think the offense there is nowhere to go but up from there. So, you're taking a floor in the fifth with Judkins, but I also think that there's potential for like one of those [music] 15 point per game seasons uh based off of volume and what could be a potentially ascending offense. Uh after that we get DeAndre Swift, David Montgomery, Adams and Jameson Williams, J.J. Darden Price, Michael Tutu. I really like Davante Adams again this year. He was a my guy last year, but the thing that the thing that people don't weigh in enough with Davante Adams is number one, you have the MVP of Matthew Stafford. Number two, Puka has gone down with injuries plenty of times. And if there were to be a stretch where Puka is actually out with a serious injury, I mean, Davante Adams is probably ranked top six in everybody's rankings every week during that span. So, you're you're taking a floor, but you're also handcuffing some some special upside as well. Yeah, I think with Quinshon, my like my I think that it's it's a good it's a volume play, right? It's a bet on volume. It's a bet on hopefully them not being, you know, the worst offense in the league again, which I think is all fair. My worry is that it's like this is a guy who doesn't profile to be to get a ton of work through the air, especially given that Dylan Samson is there. Coming off a really bad injury where you've seen guys like Mark Andrews and Tony Pollard really really struggle to in that first season back and then it's just like. How how plentiful are the touchdown opportunities going to be? So if you're like to to me it's a hard sell of a what profiles as a two-down running back on a bottom five offense in the league coming off of a broken fibula. Then peptides baby. The peptides are look there I've had these conversations where it's like. It's like look George Kittleman like Cam Newton doing a backflip. Quinn like can we get Malik Neighbors some freaking peptides? What's going on? Yeah. [laughter] Why is Why is Cam How figuring this out? The peptides. Well, they have Cam doing it. That's true. Uh Judkins, by the way, looks really incredible. It doesn't He's not being held back by anything in camp from.
The injury. Here's the thing, though. I think I think that he can look like 85% in camp with no limitations and then it just doesn't translate like that. It's tough for me to be like, "Okay, yeah, he'll be he looks really good without pads on."
Yeah. Running like it's just it's not the the it not being game full game speed worries me a little bit. To be fair, I don't know if Dylan Samson had an injury or not, but that like stretch before Judkins went down with his with his injury, the last four games that he played, I mean, these guys are still being worked into the rotation into the game plan. Judkins had four targets per game in that span before he went down. So I don't know. Like Judkins was not someone who wasn't able to catch a ball out of college. He just happened to share a backfield his last year with Trayvon Henderson. It's like you're not going to, you know, dominate target share there. And then the year before that, he's with Zack Evans, who a lot of the uh, the Devi people will will remember quite fondly of.
Um, but uh, sorry, you made a pick there with Christian Watson. I like that pick a lot. And let me just let me just quickly say, sorry, I I know I keep interrupting, but uh, JB Boas 14 says, "If I get the Flock Fantasy season pass, do I get it from now until week 17, 18?" Yes, that's exactly what the season pass is for, which is why it is an incredible deal, guys. Most of these draft kits that you're getting are only for the draft season. They stop in September. The season pass is complete season-long access, aka season pass, right? So from now until the end of fantasy season, the complete end until 2027, you have access to the site. You have all the access to, you know, all the things that we mentioned earlier for the season pass. Just make sure you use that the promo code land at signup, my friend. But um, sorry, go ahead. You were you were going to talk about a pick.
Well, I think with Quinn, quickly, I do think that there is room for for his workload to grow in terms of the passing volume.
Yeah.
Um, I do agree with you in that sense. Like there maybe there is an untapped ceiling there. Um, maybe that's something I need to look into because I've been really really low on Quinn Sean. I haven't really been clicking him at all really.
Yeah.
Uh, with my turn here, I went Brian Thomas, Christian Watson. I think that after going running back, running back, slamming wide receiver through these middle rounds here, uh, makes a lot of sense.
Yeah.
I think that my room is very like I don't really have a floor play here really. Yeah.
Which might be might be an interesting conversation point of like, do you do you go with a DJ Moore instead of Christian Watson because maybe I feel better about the floor.
I I personally do have DJ ranked higher. Um, I think they're back to back for me. I think he has a chance to be, you know, I I remember like the year the first year the Flock League started, I got Chris Godwin in like the seventh round or something, you know, because it's not a hot name, but he was like a focal point of a really good offense. I know it's not the perfect comparison, but I I do really believe that, you know, DJ Moore has a chance to be a nice nice steal. Like some of the guys that go in round four. I can't promise you that DJ Moore doesn't outscore any of those names. Uh, he is set up for huge success. The last time we saw Josh Allen with a receiver of this quality was Stefon Diggs, and we know that worked out pretty well.
Um, I just don't know if he's that quality.
No, I I'm sorry. I shouldn't have phrased it that way. He is the best receiver that Josh has had since Stefon Diggs.
That I agree with. I'm not saying he's gonna be the same as Stefon Diggs, but uh,
I do agree with that.
Jaylen Hurts in the seventh round should be that one you got to do. You guys should be locked up in jail for letting me get Jaylen in round seven. Herbert going before him is very interesting.
I agree. Interesting is the word I would use there.
Um, yeah, I can't quite get there.
You know, there are some question marks about the annual Mother Flocker membership versus the season pass. Just want to be very clear because uh, some people who are are dynasty community members are getting confused by like the price point. To be clear, guys, the season pass does not come with a customized team review. Okay? It doesn't come with like the six trade question vouchers that you get from the season p from the annual membership, which is like 97 for a year. Um, and it doesn't come with all the dynasty content, right? So like all the dynasty stuff is actually gated from the season pass. But if you're out there and you're not a dynasty person, the season pass was made specifically for you in mind, okay? Because you still get the the best deal in the industry by far. Like we said, all the rankings, all the tools on the flock site. Uh, you're not going to get access to like the dynasty draft guides and the prospect models and stuff like that. But if you're not a dynasty person, I doubt you would care about that. Uh, you also get the ability for me to answer some of your questions on the live stream. You get access to be a part of landlags.com. For example, we've got a raffle happening for the Ryan Leaf League, which will be drafting this time next week. So, it's still an incredible value, but they're two different products made for two different people, if that makes sense.
Yeah. Yeah. Obviously, the the Dynasty Pass being year-round, the season pass being really more just focused in on on the redraft content.
Um, yeah. So, let me know if that clears up uh any questions there. I think it should. The um, the quarterback. We really had a run here. Like Herbert and Lawrence both going this high.
Yeah.
Um, I think I'm still in like punt mode though, because it's so hard because even me taking Jaylen Hurts where I took him, like I think it's a great value, but I just know there's going to be ridiculous quarterbacks available later that I'm going to be annoyed about. Yeah. Yeah. And I'm going to be I'm going to scoop one of those guys up. There's so many guys that I like late, too. Like there's so so many. It's going to be like this. I don't know what it is about this year, Zach, but it's going to be really really difficult to come out of a draft not happy with your quarterback.
That's what's so funny.
It's like ultimately people will be disappointed.
You know what I mean? Like, but it feels like every time you draft a quarterback, you're happy. I could go to the end of the draft and take Jared Goff and think I still have a good chance to win my league. You know, nobody's even drafting Jared Goff and I'm like, "Yeah, I love."
Absolutely. 100%. You take Jared Goff and you pair him with like another guy and and you're you're feeling perfectly fine.
Yeah.
Um, like I don't see Yeah, we'll see what I end up with. I'm literally I think I might make I don't know if we're going to go the full 14 rounds here, but I will probably wait until my last two picks to make my to take my quarterbacks.
Yeah. Well, we are currently four likes away from our goal uh to get another live stream going. So, if you haven't hit the like button yet, be a friend, hit the like button. Uh, if we reach 100, we are going to do another mock draft. So, I imagine we will reach that. And also, earlier we talked about the season pass. We've got people signing up today, which is awesome. Uh, even if you sign up today, you can still be a part of this giveaway. And if you end up winning, I'll I'll refund you from today's uh stream if you bought it. But if you want to enter to win that season pass, all you have to do to enter is like the stream. That's step one. And step two is to type the code word, which for today is we back because we back. Uh, also shout out to Danny lad in the stream. What's up, Danny?
Heck yeah. The ladster. The Ladster is active. Uh,
He's here,
which you love to see. Wandell in the in the eighth still feels still feels fun. There are some You know, it's funny you took Aaron Jones. I was just about to talk about him. He is like the most disgusting pick possible. Yeah.
But every time he's available and it's at ADP, it feels right. Like I feel like this is the right pick, you know?
Like here's the thing. His his expert average rank is way lower than where I have him. Um, on just pulling up the profile, he is my 100. No, he's at he's my 83rd overall player. The the average is 101, which you know, I just think that like we're putting a lot of stock into this this Vikings offense last year was really really bad and it's going to sort of, you know, be bad again because I don't see how starting running back Aaron Jones should be an eighth round pick. Jordan Anderson should be a late seventh round pick. Wide receiver 36 off the board if we expect this offense to be good enough where Justin Jefferson's the wide receiver six. Like that that doesn't match up to me honestly.
Yeah. I think uh I love Jordan Mason a lot and I can also recognize that ultimately Aaron Jones is probably still their best back. Um, they'll have different roles, but
100%. I also think Jordan Mason's a good guy. Like a good I really was really in on him last year.
Yeah.
And it didn't work because JJ McCarthy sucked, but all of the points
that really was the reason why, too. Like [laughter]
Well, yeah, that was it.
It's only because JJ was terrible. Otherwise, you would have hit if you drafted him.
100%. Like I well I think that I think that the that the role is there where Jordan Mason could be like the short yardage um change of pace but also like could score a bunch of touchdowns and then Vike and then then sorry Aaron Jones is the is the pass catcher and sort of makes his makes his bread that way and I think that both could be viable. I was hoping Dobbins was gonna fall to me. H that was going to make me feel comfortable with taking Brooks in the
Talk to me, Zach. Talk to me about Jonathan Brooks in the eighth round because there isn't a player
is that high
that I am more that I am more out on.
Okay.
Than than Jonathan Brooks.
Really? I
He's the player you're most out on.
I cannot It's the price. I cannot understand
taking like like he's he's steaming up a lot. um currently and and for me it's just really tough for a guy coming off his second ACL tear in three years who's played three NFL games or two NFL games.
Yeah.
Look, I it's I I've said this before. I've I I've said it with so many different situations. um with McCaffrey last year it's different obviously because of what McCaffrey is, but I just think in general it's going to be quite rare that I let previous injury history move me off of a player if I see potential like there's difference between like Malik Neighbors for example who it's like no the injury is happening right now and we still aren't past it that's different for me, but you know, Jonathan Brooks is just a player that I absolutely loved coming out of college. I remember comping him to Travis Etienne. Um, uh, the coaching staff has talked really highly of him. And really, if if both Brooks and Chuba Hubbard are healthy, I would personally bank on Jonathan Brooks being the RB1 to finish the year. Uh, I think he's that talented. So, really, it's in the eighth round. I look at all the running backs that I could have drafted there. I don't see any of them having the chance to be an RB1 over him and that's where the rationale came for me. But uh, he's also really good through the air, which I think could complement Bryce Young a lot who is not really able to see much beyond the line of scrimmage. If if the play isn't written, he's going to be willing to to dump it off. I just don't think we've been able to see him yet. So, it makes it hard to be in on him, which I understand, but yeah.
Yeah, that's that's sort of the issue. And I guess maybe like an eighth round pick in a redraft league is is easier to get on board with. And I'm probably coming at it more from like a best ball perspective.
Where is he in best?
Well, he's steaming up into like the Let me Let me find it, cuz I mean I'll There's a price point where I'm not in on him either, but
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Of course. Uh, let me just find it really because I I I'm thinking in terms of like overall number, not like what round he's going in.
By the way, I do love that Kyler Murray pick from you there.
Yeah, honestly like if I knew that I like I could even punt it further. There just isn't really a I have Jordan, I have Aaron Jones. Um, but so Jonathan Brooks currently his ADP is 106, which
106.
I guess is that's probably close to where you took him, right?
Oh, 106. Right, right, right, right, right.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm thinking Yeah, I'm thinking in terms of numbers, not uh
Where would the 810 be then? Someone do quick math.
Let me I can literally find it. I'll get it in two seconds.
Literally. Literally hidden.
Literally. Literally.
Literally. Such a lit. 106 is the is the end of the ninth round.
Okay.
So, that's even higher than he's going in best ball right now. My thing is like
that doesn't seem too
bad in best.
The issue with the best ball thing, the issue with the best ball pick is that like you can't make a waiver wire claim. Like that is your ninth round pick. And I think he his he is a zero and we talked about this with with what like Mark Andrews like 10% of the time he scores 10 touchdowns, right? Sure. So many of Jonathan Brooks's outcomes, in my opinion, he's just a zero.
Yeah.
He's just he he he does nothing because he hasn't played and because he is coming off the ACL again and or he like he's just not the player that he was ever deemed to be because of the injuries.
Yeah.
And I just I don't think that this that this I think that the Rico quote unquote takeover is way overplayed from last year. This this is the coaching staff and front office that paid Chuba Hubbard after he had 16 points per game in 2024.
See, he got hurt to start last season.
I think that's an interesting narrative breakout.
I think it's fair to say, but I would also flip that narrative if if the narrative is like, well, the coaching staff is in on him. Very rarely does a running back get taken in round two, not play for two years in a row, and still have the same head coach that drafted him. But
Yeah,
you know, it's still Dave Canales. Dave Canales is one of the main reasons why Jonathan Brooks was selected in round two. So I think that being one of the first picks Canales ever made, I think he wants to show people why he would have been willing to select him in round two. So I think that narrative goes both ways is all I'm saying. I'm not saying Chuba is a bad player either. Um, it it definitely goes both ways. I think that Dave Canales probably wants Jonathan Brooks to be great. I'm sure he does. He probably wants him to be, you know, this this phenomenal player and and make his second round pick look good. I just
I think the path is a lot harder.
Sure.
And look, I'm not I'm not like enthralled with the Chuba Hubbard price either. I don't necessarily think that the, you know, Chuba kind of got there off of volume in in 2024. and I don't think that he's a he's a great pick, especially with Jonathan Brooks, you know, knocking on the door there. Um, [music] yeah, it's tough. It's hard to it's hard to get a handle on this backfield. I just don't I don't know. There's a lot of guys that I'm comfortable with taking around the Jonathan Brooks range that I think contribute in in way more outcomes.
Yeah, I think if I was playing it safe, like Dobbins probably makes more sense there. My goal was to get Dobbins in the ninth. Um, and and tap that twice. That's what she said.
Uh, did she? I don't know. R.J. Harvey is interesting because I see R.J. Harvey go so high in baseball. And then I don't see that reflected in any redraft streets. But like I see R.J. Harvey as like a sixth or seventh round pick in baseball. I'm like, what are we talking about, man?
Yeah. He actually goes like 8, 9 turn on underdog.
Okay.
So he's not but but but before like Jacob Dobbins signed he was obviously up there. I honestly think he's a better pick in baseball than in redraft because I don't think you're ever going to know when you can start this guy. But I do think he'll have like a few games where he scores two touchdowns just because the Broncos offense is so good. He has the receiving role. But I just don't think it's going to be consistent enough where he's a good asset to to have in redraft. But I think he's a I think he's a perfectly fine pick in baseball. I just don't think that the
I don't think like last year he ended up being this contingency play, right? We didn't view it like that going into the season. We thought he'd have a roll out the gate.
Yeah. But I don't I just think with Jonah Coleman there, I don't think there's I don't think that you can make the contingency argument anymore because I think if JK Dobbins goes down, RJ Harvey just looked too bad as a rusher last year to give him that first and second down work,
right? And here's the thing, I know every time I say this, people are like, "That's ridiculous to say, Zach." But as someone who has defended JK Dobbins this off season, if JK Dobbins is healthy, he will get the majority of the work as a first and second down back each and every week. And I know people say, "Zack, it's ridiculous to say that." Okay, is it really? I talk all the time about how previous injuries are not really correlated to future injuries. And if there's any doctor out there that wants to dispute that claim, I would be totally open to whatever evidence evidence you guys have. But here's the thing. Does anybody remember Trey Benson's rookie year? Oh, it's guaranteed James Connor is going to go down with an injury. It's guaranteed. You just know by week X that Trey Benson's going to be a league winner. You know, I've heard this story before. Okay. I'm I I do think it is possible that JK Dobbins, who yes, has had serious injuries. However, when you have serious injuries in multiple years, you also don't have as much wear and tear like a, you know, Saquon Barkley has where he's got like what 8,000 carries or something, you know. Um, [music] so there's a little bit of give and take there. All I'm saying is it's not completely impossible that Dobin stays healthy and ends up being one of the better picks at ADP.
My Yeah. The thing with Dobbins like it's just so it's so boring and the and the ceiling is just like
Well, see that's why I'm confused by you why you wouldn't love the Jonathan Brooks pick.
Would you have rather me taking Dobbins over Brooks in the at the 810?
No. No. That's not what I'm saying. That's not that's not necessarily what I like what I that's not my I think that with Dobbins he's a fine floor play, but like I had him in the flock league last year. If he didn't score a touchdown, he like got eight points. If he scored a touchdown, he got 15 points. Like that like that's it. And I think that
cuz he's not going to get used as a as a receiver at all. Not even not at all. There was like JK Dobbins like I'd be sitting on the couch watching Red Zone and he's like coming up with like these like 10 yard chunk run after 10 yard chunk run. I'd look at the box score and it's like 17 carries for [laughter] 74 yards, no touchdown, and I have 7.4 points.
Yeah.
It's like it's just not uh
I get you.
It's just tough. Like it's just not it doesn't it doesn't do much for you. He's not going to help you win that many games. It's a fine like your running back room could use that in this scenario because you just have like the two guys before that but uh especially with like like his injury history is tough like he obviously got hurt again last year. I think that Jonah Coleman pressures him at some point. I really believe in Jonah Coleman. So I do think I think it's perfectly fine to take him in the ninth round. But I think you got to know what he is. He He's a ceiling capped player, touchdown or bust. And I think that he's I don't think you should expect to be starting him for 17 weeks.
Yeah. No, I think that's fair. Um, one player that I do think is really undervalued right now at the running back position is Isaiah Pacheco. I number one, I don't think it's hyperbole to say he's probably the best handcuff in fantasy football. Who else would be
pure pure handcuff? Yeah, I probably agree with you.
Who who would be the better handcuff? I mean, maybe I'm missing someone, but
maybe McCaffrey just because Well, the thing is you don't handcuff.
We don't know who it is right now.
Um, and I think there's potentially some standalone value there as well where if you're in a [ __ ] spot, you're like, I don't know who to put at RB2, you could put him in there and he could have weeks where he has two touchdowns where it's like he just happened to have, you know, three goal line carries that week. Um, so I like him a lot. People forget that he was obviously if you're like anti-Judkins this year or Scataboo, Pacheco had pretty much that same injury last year where he was coming back from it.
So he's a year removed from that.
He could definitely
all data says he will be a better player this year than last year. Um, so people are saying Cororm Cororm is definitely a better um a better
even then like is he is he he's also like way more expensive and is he a pure
right
handcuff like
I think so.
I think it's his job. Um
I mean in the sense that like like what would you call Manungai a handcuff?
Yeah. But
to me a handcuff is a guy that like That's what I'm saying. To me, to me, a handcuff is a guy with no standalone value.
Okay. Sure. Sure.
Which I guess maybe I'm thinking about that the wrong way,
right? Like Cororum, JCM, they could have standalone value. I get what you're saying.
Like I think that we live in a different world than we did 5 years ago in terms of the how teams deploy running backs.
Yeah.
You don't have, you know, 20 bellcows anymore. It just doesn't exist.
Like I look at like Dylan Samson and I'm like, that's not the handcuff. That's the receiving down back. Like
Yeah. It's it's sort of a different a different landscape now. But these guys like Pacheco, Tyler Allgeier, I think, um Brian Robinson, of course, somebody like, you know, uh Ray Davis, like these are like, you know, handcuff handcuffs. I will just say, by the way, Zach,
Yeah,
I'm not even the biggest Patrick Mahomes guy, but I mean Patrick Mahomes in the 11th at the end of the 11th round. Yeah, I have him ranked so low just because um it's not even like on purpose. I just have him ranked that low because I am struggling to like know exactly when he's back. But maybe if I get a timeline on that, he'll he'll he'll shoot back up my rankings. Where would you be comfortable to draft him? Like 11th round is is a steal, I guess, but
I mean he's it seems to I I have no there's no doubt in my mind that he plays week one.
Okay. No doubt at all.
No, I don't see why I genuinely maybe this is, you know, the chat can let me know if I'm being, you know, conspiracy about this. Like there's no way in my mind the the NFL puts Broncos Chiefs Monday Night Football week one if it's Justin Fields. If there's a chance that it's Justin Fields,
right?
I just don't think they would do that. You know, he's he's it's the summer of the peptides. He's uh golfing. He's he's doing all this stuff. He looks good. I I think that and I'm not even the biggest Mahomes guy. Like I'm I'm a little worried that like people are getting a little out of over their skis about the production from last year because a lot of it I mean honestly all of it all of the increase from the two shitty seasons that we saw previously was from the rushing and he's coming off an ACL tear.
Yeah, that's where it's hard for me to be like
but I'm taking one pick before Baker Mayfield.
Yeah, I'm saying at this price it makes sense. But
Yeah,
if he's a seventh round pick when all is said and done, does that I don't know if that really excites me. And that's probably like if he gets cleared, that's what I'm saying. He that's probably where he ends up being.
So,
okay. So, that's interesting cuz I have him ranked at in like the 90s, which
Okay.
I hate that I have to do that. I I should put my Patrick Mahomes name value wise is there's a report that comes out ready to go week one. I don't know how people don't take him over Kyler Pie Dart. I think they're like Lawrence or Mahomes. I don't know which way they go.
U but I could be wrong.
I went to the 90s which is like a late eighth.
Um now given the quarterback landscape like there's a chance that I would like still just try to push that because I don't want to take one early. But um where was I going with this? I think that I think that there's enough juice in this offense potentially with like what was it? Eric Bieniemy is back as well which I think is good for him of course. I mean even at this pick like I would love to take Malik Willis here. I really would.
Right. Yeah.
But go three three QBs. It's super flex. No, I'm just kidding. Surprise.
We switched to um
so I want to ask the chat a question and the question I'd like to ask the chat is from round 10 onwards, what is the pick that you like the most as an upside play? Okay, from round 10 onwards, we're not talking floors, so don't give me Khalil Sha. All right, don't tell me Dallas Goddard. No disrespect to anybody.
Don't tell me,
you know, even Isaiah Pacheco, but from round 10 onwards, who is your favorite upside play? Upside meaning they could finish top 24 at their position or top 12 at tight end, I guess you could say. Um, maybe top 24 is too too high, but you know, they they're they have some some special upside in your flexes. Let's call it that. Kamara, while the chat,
bro, I have no idea how we're going to draft Kamara. By the way, I have no idea.
While the chat throws that out there, did you see he was doing like this media thing?
He looks like he's
kind of like an important part of the team.
I don't And it's weird because like what does that how do we evaluate that? And what does that mean for Travis Etienne? Like if Kamara is going to have like look, he looked bad last year and it but is he going to stay on this team as like this two-minute drill guy? Like that seems weird to why he would want to do that unless he's like just fine, you know, being in the cuck chair. I don't know.
This is why I have been saying I'm worried about Etienne in redraft this year because where did he go in this draft? Etienne was a third round pick.
This is what worries me. is like, are we 100% sure that like because if you're if you're taking him there, you're assuming Etienne's like what, like the 65% share guy? You have to be. Are we sure Kamara is a 35% share guy in this offense? Now, the reason why you might be sure of that is because Kamara was genuinely awful if you watched him last year. Like genuinely,
he was terrible.
Without any bias involved, he was an awful player. Um, but I don't know. I don't know. It's It's a hard one to to answer, I think. When did he get hurt? Because did he play that much with Shuck?
I don't know. I don't think he got to play too much with Shuck. Actually, I traded him
in the His last game.
His last game was week 12.
Yeah.
And Shuck started for the first time.
I remember I traded him for Rhamondre Stevenson, which at the time
Yeah.
was like controversial, but Rhamondre Stevenson ended up being a bigger reason why I beat Danny in the toilet bowl. Um, so he look he played three games. He played three games with Tyler Shuck, which like I would have loved to have seen
what what Kamara's, you know, end of season would have looked like when Shuck started to really really go on his run there and and this offense was cooking. Say that again.
Spencer Rattler. Spencer Rattler is not going to be very helpful, right? And so I think it would have been very valuable to see what Kamara was able to do or how like if he was able to be productive once the offense got better towards the end of the year when Shuck went on that run.
Yeah, sure. I get you. Okay, this is going to be my last pick for this draft. We'll get one more going.
Um, because we did reach the light goal that we set. I I forgot if we even reached Leel, but yes, we did. Um, I have no idea who the hell to draft here. Um, I think if this was a real draft, I'd probably just go for a handcuff.
Gadsden's still on the board, eh?
Is he?
Yeah.
Okay. Well, yeah, that's a no-brainer then. Sorry, I didn't even see that.
Yeah. I mean, I'm not even the biggest. going to go Jack Bash or Elijah Stewart there or Trey Harris. But
can you can you can you please help me not feel terrible about
First off, I don't know what else you're going to say, but I can't help you not feel terrible.
Uh, that is not my job. Okay. There are people that I can help that I can get you to see. But no, I can't. But sorry. Go ahead. Continue.
I don't think there's a therapist that will help me out about Jack Bash, honestly. Um
as in you're out completely or
No, no, no, no. Fact, I keep on. He stares me down every time I'm in the 18th round on underdog and I want to click him, but nobody is saying a word about this man. Nobody anywhere is talking about Jack Bash. And I'm like,
we're giving all of this
we're giving all this leeway to all of these Raiders, yet we're completely ignoring the second round pick who we liked as a prospect, and there's nobody like
it's Trey Tucker and Jaylen Naylor.
I get it. And these are the like what am I there's no the runway is there everything is there for this to work and it's just like oh well no he was terrible with Pete Carroll and Pete Carroll you know signed Tyler Lockett off the street I'm supposed to think that that guy makes good decisions about wide receivers as a Jack Besan um I'm still leaving the light on him for sure still leaving the light on for him. Um, if you guys want to join this mock draft, this is probably the last one of the day, then make sure you're in the Discord and then under the land community, there's a mock draft tab. I'm going to go ahead and paste this here. Sammy, you're in? Yeah, I'm in. Uh, and it is first come, first serve. If you've already been in one, maybe give someone else a chance uh to get in one here. But um, I have a feeling this is going to fill quite quickly. So, I set this one to 30 seconds. Now, I think this is probably going to be the last mock draft of the day. That would be three and then we'll do the giveaway. But if you guys hit some like stupid crazy goal, then I'll do another one. Okay? Even if Sammy, if you want to head off for the day or whatever, I'll do another one either way. Um, so I'll set that stupid crazy goal like 170 likes. Okay? Because transparently, I think three is a good spot for me, too. So, if you want another mock draft desperately, we'll hit 170 as a like goal. There is still one spot remaining. If you guys Oh, never mind. It's gone. Justin Herbert actually joined the draft. He's a friend of the show.
Oh my god. Shout out.
Uh, that's pretty cool.
So, just so everybody knows now that Justin Herbert's watching, uh, he is my favorite quarterback of all time. Would love to have him on the show. No, I'm just kidding.
I would never I would never ever say that that he shouldn't be taken ahead of Jaylen.
I would never say anything negative about him. This is 30 seconds on the clock. It's the same format. Start eight, one quarterback, two flex spots, right?
Um, you go ahead.
You and I both went You and I both went on the turns here.
Yep.
Um, Jahmyr Gibbs is my 101 this year. I think him and Bijan, you know, we talked about it. Clear top two, but Gibbs is my is my number one. I'll take him here.
Okay. I'm like I think that with David Montgomery gone like we could see like this like just crazy like 400 touch season from Gibbs where he just goes completely like LT vintage, you know, 25 touchdowns in a really good offense.
Yeah, I think that's possible. My only concern around Gibbs, which is why I'm leaning Bijan right now and might be a good conversation to have, is the offensive line is completely basically completely changed to what everybody remembers as like this elite offensive line. Do you know what I mean? Like that is the one the one thing that gives me some pause with him.
Um, they did they drafted they drafted a tackle in the first round, right?
Yeah. Do we know that tackle's good? I mean, the kid out of Clemson, I think.
We knew for the majority of his time in Detroit that they had one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. Are we sure it's top 15 anymore? I'm not sure cuz there's been a lot of change as of recently. So, um, yeah, it's just something that I that I think about. Yeah, I mean, it's definitely worth it's definitely worth the conversation. I think that the Yeah, I don't know. That's tough. I just think that the passing he had a lot more down weeks last year than than I think that we'll remember. Obviously, like he had a 55 point game which helps with the average.
Yeah.
But if that target share can continue to be at like that like he had 17% target share last year. If that can stay, you know, at that number.
Yeah. I'm at the turn here. I went Ashton Gentry, Devon Achane. Um, but honestly, I would have been happy to start my draft any combination between Gentry, Achane, Barkley, Brown, Hampton, Walker, you know, like that that back end for me,
it's such a big tier.
It's it's huge for me. Double tapping running back with Gentry, Achane, Barkley, Hampton, Cook, Brown, Walker. I feel really good about starting my drafts that way at the back end, you know, the 110, 11, 12 spot. Yeah, I just that's why I want to get one of the wide receivers because like I do love all those running backs,
but I do like starting balanced
and getting like Justin Jefferson and then being able to add a Chase Brown or add a Kenneth Walker.
Yeah.
Is is like a really exciting proposition for me. Uh, Stevie says, "Burden was wide receiver one championship week." You want to know how I know that, Sammy? You want to know how I know Burden was wide receiver one championship week?
Because our our buddy, the Ladster, dropped him for you to pick him up and playing him play him against him in the toilet bowl. Uh, could have been me at Denny's because our good bud is he still on the stream? I love you. I love you, Danny. But he dropped Luther Burden and I picked him up. and Aubrey like could it be could you have made it any more painful Luther Burden and the Cowboys kicker
y to to to send Danny to Denny's
and we had so many like Stevenson I made that trade with with Kamara at the end of the year but Stafford was a bust Bucky was a bust McMillan and London combined for 1.9 fantasy points
it is so crazy to look back like we we have all these like huge expectations and it's like oh Drake London your early second round pick yeah less than two points in week 17.
Wild.
Get ready. We forget. We forget like all we're like, "Oh, you know, Drake London, you know, I have him averaging 16 and a half points per game." We forget that like some of that is going to be three points.
Some of that is three and 40. Yeah. So,
um, that's the nature of fantasy football as Wow. Javonte 209.
Look, I'm a big Javonte guy. I I love Javvante. That's a little
But I hope we don't push him up to the point where it's going to be hard to draft him like this, you know.
Yeah, that's a price I I can't fully get on board with, I don't think.
Yeah.
Um
I think late third is where I'd like to take him if I'm going to quote unquote reach. But yeah, I'm not saying like here's the thing that could end up being a fine pick at the end of the day on like a points per game basis into the season, but just more based off of like what ADP currently shows us, how people are currently valuing him. We want to be careful about pushing those guys too far up the board. You know, we want them to to feel like real values when we end up picking them.
Like I will say I will say Job, I would have been floored if he didn't make it to you at the 304. Um, so it's just it's sometimes it's an ADP game, right? You can love Javonte there and still get extra value. I went Jeremiah 11, Rajie Rice. Zach, the past the past two running backs that we've had draft in the top 10, Bijan Robinson and Ashton Gentry, have been picked at the one-two turn.
Yeah,
they both ended up in bad situations and they had disappointing rookie years. Jeremiah Love I drafted as the RB14 in this draft where Ashton Gentry I believe he finished as the RB1 overall in what was a terrible situation.
I think it was 14.
our site
or am I looking at point per game?
Am I thinking
point per game? We have 16 16 points per 16 and point per game. He had 14 points per game. That might be what you're thinking of.
What is happening in this mock draft? Wow.
Uh, look, it's fun. I mean, this is fun because we get to see a lot of different takes here.
Still going.
But the fact that Trey McBride went at the 308 is just wild.
Chase Brown, Trey McBride. That's freaking nuts.
Amandro, Chase Brown, Trey McBride is a ridiculously good start. Um,
is doing a cartwheel right now.
And I'll tell you, as someone who took two running backs to start my draft, I am thrilled that they are going off the board like this right now. Uh, I'm going to come back and man, this is actually a really tough call because this is a huge tier of receivers I really love. I might need to change my ranking of Tetro McMillan because I love the guy, but I find it so hard to hit draft for some reason. I'm going to draft
IA
and then I'm going to come back and here's what's hard is like every receiver that I'm highlighting is pretty much in the same tier for me. God, you hate T. Higgins, eh?
I don't hate him. I I think he's a fine pick here. I put him in that tier.
Okay.
But uh I I'll take Cole Turner here. I'll take Cole Turner. I just want to see how this would pan out. M
if I were to take Turner the fourth, what would my team look like? But
uh man, should we have a conversation around Tetro McMillan?
I have him ranked there and I wasn't able to make the pick.
That is a heart.
This is what brain right type of situation cuz my projections are what's really helping bake in my rankings.
And despite my projections, I didn't feel good enough to take him there. Well, look look back weird spot.
If you look at like let's say Tetro McMillan and Zay Flowers for example, right? You have those guys ranked pretty close. The projection is probably pretty close.
There's also a percentage chance that they each hit that projection. There's a percentage chance that they each outperform that. There's a percentage chance that that they each bust lower than that projection, right?
Yeah.
I think just I think Tetro McMillan could be great. Like I think he's a really good receiver.
Yeah.
But the it's just it's Bryce Young and it's this Panthers offense and and and a guy who has never averaged more than 200 passing yards a game.
Y and how they just paid Jaylen Coker. They drafted Chris Purzelle. Is this offense ever going to be throwing the ball enough for him to
for him to really, you know, exceed?
Yeah. get break out of this, you know, wide receiver, fringe wide receiver.
That's the hard part. I don't believe that at at their best, I don't believe the coaching staff is really wanting to throw the ball a ton with Bryce Young.
Yeah.
And that that makes it really hard for me to know exactly how to handle him.
And Zach, this running back thing that you mentioned earlier,
oh my gosh,
I think this draft is a good example of it. The fact that Cam Akers, the RB18, gets drafted before Davante Smith, the the wide receiver 12.
Wild.
That's pretty nuts. The wide receiver 12.
The thing is like the middle of the third round.
It's not a crazy pick, but it's wild based off of current ADP expectations, right? Like,
um, this is interesting, Zach. I don't really like Garrett Wilson that much, [laughter] but there is a massive fall. He is
Like a third-round pick on underdog. >> Yeah. >> And there is a guy ranked right below him for me that I absolutely love and I'm going to take both. Garrett Wilson and Luther Burden. >> Yeah. >> Here. >> That's awesome. >> At the 45 turn. >> I mean Garrett Wilson. Do I love Garrett Wilson drafting him as a fridge top 12 guy? No. Wide receiver 22. I can get on board with that. >> Yeah. I like your start a lot. Honestly, I don't know how I feel about like love, but I think there's a case to be made there. If I knew Jacobs was good to go this year, I'd probably pretty easily take him over Love. >> Um, >> I think I would too. I think that Yeah, >> that would be like a perfect start for you really. >> Yeah, if Josh Jacobs, you know, is completely But I do I'm I'm happy Jeremiah Love with the two three turn. I really am. I think that this offense will be I think he'll have the workload. I think that he'll have enough receiving work. I think that this offense will be competent enough to get him the ball enough for him to be to pay off a running back 14 draft cost. >> Right. Right. Um guys, appreciate all of y'all being here with us. I'm having a lot of fun. It's our first mock drafts of the year. I'm starting to really wrap my head around drafts this year. To be honest, it feels like round one and two are pretty set, but rounds three to five is absolute chaos. There is no rhyme or reason right now for what decisions people are making. So, I think we're gonna learn a lot over the course of the next however many uh drafts that we do together. But, I'm on the clock now and I definitely regret taking Lovelin right now the way things are looking. Um, but I think wide receiver is a clear play. Uh, and I'll take Brian Thomas and then I'll come back. >> I'll come back here and I'll probably go receiver again. >> Is he going to double bear? >> That's the thing. I probably would have gone. How do I not take Lamar Jackson here? Oh my gosh, that's insane at this. Just the reason I wasn't thinking about it is because I hate having two onesies in the first like six rounds. It's so hard to build out your flexes. But >> there is a point where you might be doing yourself a disservice by not >> just selecting the clear best player. >> Like am I really going to be upset that I took Lamar Jackson over what would have been probably Christian Watson for me? >> I don't know. Maybe I am upset but >> it's hard not to make that pick. I don't think. >> All right. No, I completely I completely agree. Completely agree. Sometimes you just got to, >> you know, not not ignore a massive massive follower. This the running back thing is so interesting, Zach, because like >> Mike Evans, the wide receiver 25 gets drafted one pick before the RB 24. >> That's just like historically what we from what we've seen from, you know, the volume of wide receivers getting drafted. That is just nuts. >> Yeah. But this feels not like common. This doesn't feel like how drafts are going right now. Like I don't think in real drafts you're seeing Price in the fourth, you know, Javvante. >> Okay. That No. >> You know, >> Price in the fourth and Javvante in the second and Scat in the third. No. But in terms of like roughly where these guys are going, it's it is accurate. >> Okay. >> Like the RB24 is going in the fifth round. Um, like Chuba is a sixth round pick, Tutin's a fifth, Monty's the fifth, Judkins the fifth, Price is down in the fifth, Javvantee's in the third, but other than that, it this is all pretty >> pretty spot-on. Scat should be probably around later. But just in terms of like the volume of running backs drafted, it's like an avalanche. >> Okay, that's good to know. Um guys, by the way, we are going to do the giveaway at the end of this draft. So, this one will go to round 10, shorter one as we've done quite a few mock drafts today. But would love for you guys to uh have a chance to to win the giveaway today. I'm going to be giving away a season pass. If you don't know what the season pass is, >> [music] >> uh it is a product that was specifically created for the fantasy football player, not the dynasty player, right? Uh, you're going to get my draft guide, my ultra cheat sheet, which 50 50,000 people uh actually downloaded last year. You're going to have the ability to enter land league raffles. We've got a best ball real draft happening next week that you can already enter on landlinks.com. So, uh, season pass, $34 for the entire year from now all the way until 2027 January 1st. Uh, we're giving I'm giving one of those away today. All you have to do to enter is like the stream and type our code word, which is we back. And as I said before, it's our code word because we back. That is why it's our code word. >> Pretty self-explanatory. >> Yeah. Um >> um so I went Jaylen. Yeah. I can't ignore Jaylen Herz at the 612. >> Six round quarterbacks are so hot, man. They're so hot. >> Yeah, I can't believe I got Lamar at the 601 and Josh Allen with the 311, >> which Josh Allen at 311 is a steal. >> But this is what I'm saying with Josh Allen is like like Zack, what if what if you took Josh what if he fell to the 312, then Lamar falls to you at the 601. [music] >> That's the thing. I don't even know if I would have drafted Josh Allen at that turn, but he was such a value, >> man. Still though, Tra 308 is ridiculous. >> Yeah, it's really like for me. Yeah, the Allen thing is tough just because of the values later. I want to Zach really quick. Mike said um in the chat here. Didn't realize the giveaway. He was in dynasty mode. >> Oh, dude. It's fine. Don't worry. >> If no reason to be. >> I know you you and I quickly mentioned um what I know that like Mason has done. If somebody with a mother flocker wins, he just gives them like some start sit or trade or something. >> There you go. If you're already a member, I I'll give you a start set sit or trade question voucher. One of those. So, um, [sighs] there goes Justin Herbert to Justin Herbert. Justin Herbert actually drafted himself >> off the board there. So, I like the Paul pick a lot. Um, I do. I think he's a >> I really wanted Jaylen Warren value there at the end of beginning of round seven. >> I did really want Jaylen Warren. I really like Jaylen Warren. Uh, but I was happy happy with the consolation prize of uh of Pard. Um, but yeah, like I think that on a team like this, maybe Jeremiah Love is starting a little slow. Tony Pard can hopefully be there to uh [ __ ] >> Oh my god. >> You're just going three times in a row. >> This is This is the thing about about starting running back running back though, like it's not devastating. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> No, you're you're absolutely right because I look at this board right now >> and damn, I would have loved to add one of Rashad W and one or one of those guys, but I come back and I say, okay, but I think Michael Pitman's of value this year and I also love this three of Conception, Parker, and Johnston. I think Johnston's really underrated this year. Um, but because I didn't go wide receiver until round three, I think Johnson's actually the safer pick, which is weird to say of all those names. I'll take him off the board. I'm really curious to see his role in this Mike McDaniel offense. And I do think there's a very clear correlation between his fantasy points and the offensive line, the health of the offensive line last year. It's like almost directly correlated where like as soon as the offensive line you lose those bookin tackles and it's not that s it's not that difficult to really like think through it logically when you don't have any time to throw. Are you going to be able to let big plays down the field develop with Quinton Johnson? No. Where is Quinton Johnson getting most of his points down the field? Stretching the field. Big play threat. So, uh, I think he's got some real value this year. And I don't want to say he can be like T. Higgins, but maybe he's like discount Jameson >> even more is a good I think Christian Watson. >> Discount discount J Mo or discount Christian Watson. I think those are good comps, honestly. >> Yeah. >> Um, especially JO. Yeah. Like I think those offenses could like compare a little bit. Like if Lad is the if Lad is the Aman Raw. Um >> yeah man, Cu has been good. This is the thing like you drafted him wide receiver 40. >> Mhm. >> Over the past two seasons he's what outperformed that twice >> in points per game. >> He was terrible. >> He was wide receiver 26 last year. >> That's a wild last year. >> He was 26 >> in points per game. Why did he 26? >> He was so bad to end the year too. >> Yeah. Terrible. He did have a 20 point. He was good in the playoffs, though. He had a 20 point game in week 16, 14 points in week 17. >> Damn. Um, >> so I like the Aaron Jones pick. Caleb Williams in the eighth is awesome. Parker Washington, I think, is a fun pick in the eighth. I know you disagree, but uh then I feel like the D Harvey picks are easier to be made when you see Dobbins go at the 7-Eleven and Warren at the 611. It's like easier psychologically to be in, you know, it's like, well, their counterparts went here. >> Yeah, >> I can get in on the back field at this price, you know? >> So, I went Pitts there. Um, honestly, like my best available in these late rounds is always just a bunch of quarterbacks, but >> um >> Kyle Pittz being being the next tight end for me there. I do think like I he's a tough one because like this is not me buying the finish last year. Obviously I'm drafting him as the tight end seven in the eighth like at the end of the eighth round. >> Like saying he's the tight end 2 means nothing to me from last year. >> No. >> Right. >> No. No. Like he had Zach, let me ask you here. I'll ask you a fun question. Okay. >> Okay. I love fun questions. >> Okay. You ready? Who Oh, this would be perfect. One second. No. Oh, that's so annoying. Okay, guess guess how many points per game Kyle Pittz outscored Quinton Johnston by last year. >> By the way, Kyle Pitts Kyle Pitts, the tight end, too. Quinton Johnston, the wide receiver, 26 in points per game. Guess how many more points per game? >> I would put Pitts probably at like maybe one or less than one. >> 17. >> Yeah. Okay, there you go. That tracks with me. That that makes sense. >> So last year last year the tight end two overall had.17 points per game more than Quinton Johnston who was watching for 26 in points per game. >> Oh my god. >> So that tells you everything you need to know about the tight end position. But I think that Kyle Pittz can outperform this this eighth round ADP given the changes to the offense. >> Yeah, that's wild. It's funny because Pitts was droppable at times last year and that 40point game really kind of elevated a lot of his standing in in people's minds. But um here at the turn I'm going to hit two guys that I think are great sleepers this year. Jakori Krosky Merritt. I am I'm ashaw white guy but if there's going to be almost three rounds of difference between them two and a half I will have some JCM. And then Slick Ricky, who you know was a part of my video I released this week. I do think there's real breakout potential for him this year. And it's so tough because everybody he is like what do they call it? Like the post hype potential breakout player this year because last year there was a lot of hype around Ricky Piol. A lot of people were in on him. I remember you drafted to him in the sixth round took him in round six and I was annoyed because I wanted him. Um, and people are disappointed obviously by what he was able to do. But what I will say is in weeks one to four before the PCL sprain, he was averaging about 14 points per game and he was top five in receiving yards. >> He led the NFL, Zack, >> he led the NFL in receiving yards >> through four weeks. >> He was never healthy after that. And I know that's hard for people to hear to be in on him, but not only does Mike Evans coming back um sorry coming to San Francisco improve the offense, but it actually puts Persaw in the role that he was designed to play designed. It's not like he was created in Madden as a creative player, but he is really designed to be that flanker Z in and out of the slot type of guy. He's he's not really a true X. think Adam Thelen when I when people are like what do you think he can become then Zach I'm like Adam Thelen that's the ceiling and he probably doesn't reach that ceiling in fantasy football because Adam The had some ridiculous years but that's the type of player I think he can become there's no hype to his name at all whatsoever and if you're worried about George KD which plenty of people were upset that I not upset but like didn't like my George KD pick when I took him not too long ago. Uh, if you don't like George KD, then why would you not be on Ricky Pieraw? Because outside of Mike Evans, who are they throwing the ball to? That's not Christian McCaffrey, you know. So, um, yeah, but I like it a lot. You took Coker in the 10th, which is a fun pick as well. Jackson D, dude. Like, >> yeah, >> this is why it's so >> we got to figure out, Zach, we're going to have to figure out we're going to have to figure out this quarterback thing because like I genuinely do not know what to do. Like, I don't know what's good. Like, is it bad? Like, I'm going to have to draft like 10 teams where I take Lamar, 10 teams where I take one of like the late sixth guys, and then 10 teams where I completely punt it, and just compare them all and be like, what do I actually like more? Because I don't think you can leave. I don't think there's it's possible for me to leave. Kyler Murray didn't get drafted here. Yeah. Like Patrick Mahomes didn't get drafted here. There are teams who didn't take a quarterback. Granted, but >> like I just don't think this is a scenario where I leave a draft this year and I'm unhappy with the quarterback position. And that is very confusing with deciding like who do I want to actually be targeting? >> I'm right there with you. It feels like this is one of those years where no matter where you get quarterback, it's a value. But the reality is that can't be true. It can't be true that no matter where you draft quarterback, it's a value. >> That's just not how fantasy football works. Not everybody finishes top five. We know that. Um, I had a lot of fun today. I had a lot of fun. I can't wait for next week for us to do this, but for real. Next week, yes, this time next week, we will be doing real best baseball drafts. Um, and if you played underdog, you'll be familiar with with baseball, but we're not really doing like a tournament style for these leagues. These are very simple. They are sleeper leagues, $10 buyins. All you do is you draft. There's no waiver wire. There's no trading. It's just whoever had the best draft, they win a small little fun prize. It it it makes mock drafts actually meaningful. Think of it as a $10 mockdraft that you can win money on, right? Because it's actually actionably or actionable uh information. the more best drafts we do, the more real actionable ADP we will have. Um, it's different than a mock draft, right? Like there were so many times today where we were like, if this was a real draft, maybe I would do that. Um, or this. But >> now it is. >> Anyway, uh, starting next week, uh, you guys can be a part of them. Obviously, if you are a promo code land season pass member, one of the many perks is that you get to enter these raffles. um and many many other perks along with it. But let's go ahead and do this giveaway for the season pass. All you had to do to enter was like the stream and type the code word we back. That got you into the raffle. Video videos on the Dynasty channel every Friday. >> Yeah. >> Um and yeah, that'll that'll keep ramping up as we as we get closer to the season. Uh, go check it out, >> guys. Appreciate you so much. Thanks for hanging out. We'll be live this time next week again. Um, Sammy is always welcome, as he knows, to come and join us if you want to be a part of the drafts. Um, I'm really excited because I know it's not like a revolutionary idea to do like these best drafts, but landlags.com has been such a cool addition to our offering this year for all of our supporters >> with the dynasty side that I thought it would be an absolute waste not to do it for the fantasy season for the reddraft side of things. So, we're going to have the best ball drafts. We're going to have real drafts as well in real leagues, like managed leagues in August as well. And I'm really excited for you guys uh to be a part of it. Uh, see you guys next week. Nothing but love. Enjoy the rest of your night and I'll be live on the Dynasty channel tomorrow to answer your trade questions and look at some team reviews later. Peace out.
