Do babies go to hell after they die? That's a tough question. Do babies go to eternal damnation? Because technically we're all born into sin. Do babies go to hell if they die? What happens to infants who die without baptism or belief? Right? A lot of people ask this question.
First and foremost, before a baby could even call on Jesus, Jesus already called on them. Does that make sense, guys? Amen. You guys know the story of King David. He slept with Bashibba, had a 7-day old kid, and the 7-day old kid passed away. And in 2 Samuel 12:23, "I shall go to him. He cannot come to me. Return to me." Why does he say that? Because of Acts 16:31. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. You shall be saved, you and your house." He believed. Understand what I'm saying? God didn't tell the children to repent, right? He welcomed them in Matthew, right? Don't block them from heaven.
So, does that mean they're born innocent? No, they're not. Of course, they're not born innocent. But grace covers their sin, too. Do you guys understand what I'm saying? Right. King David did not believe his child was innocent. He was born into sin. He even says it himself. Psalm 51:5. But he did believe, right, that his child was safe and saved. Not because his child was innocent, but because God had his mercy greater than his child's sin and his sin. Do you guys understand what I'm saying? Right, guys? You guys got that right? Make sense? A lot of people say that, right? Aren't they born into sin? Right? Yes, they're born into sin, of course. But when you look at Romans 5:15, "the gift is stronger than the offense." Grace is stronger than sin. is what God is saying. Romans 5:15, right? So God didn't condemn everybody. He made a way through Jesus. Understand? Jesus did not say all children go to heaven, by the way. Understand? Make sense? He didn't. He says, "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." We have, right? We have. Understand? Because we're all born into Adam's fall. Yes. Right. But he's not condemning anybody. Not just children. He doesn't condemn anybody. God says, "I do not condemn thee." Right? "Go and sin no more." Understood?
Obviously, the Bible doesn't say that they're automatic automatically saved. Show me the scripture, right? We have to we have to be cautious to not lead with our emotions here. Just because you want them to be saved, you're not God, though, you're not the savior either. We have to be biblically sound here. You guys following me here? Make sense? We trust in the character of God and we trust in his word. He's righteous, merciful through the grace, right? Amen. You guys got that?
So, does it mean to baptize your children? You can. You can. But remember this, baptism isn't what saves. Water doesn't save. The gospel does. Understand what I'm saying, right guys? Make sense? You guys got it? So God honors your faith even for other people. Understand what I'm saying? So you can believe for other people in a lot of ways, right? Like for example, the person who had the poly broken down from the roof lowered down, he says, "Because of the faith of your friends you are s you are healed you are saved." But you have to understand biblically speaking, we're all born into the fall. Amen. Right? So God, yes, did not need your child to understand the gospel, but he does need you to trust that your child will get to heaven and that he's good enough to cover them. Understand? People from indigenous islands are not aware of sin. They don't know the Ten Commandments, so they get to go to heaven. You can't make that argument because you feel like you're right. So, very good question. Then why does God allow children to die? Right. Amen. Well, because it's proof. "The wages of sin is death," right? Understand? So, why do they die then? Why do they suffer? Because it's proof that they're sinners. Unless they're Jesus, sinless, right? You guys understand what I'm saying? But what you guys don't know is that a loving God allows these things to happen. Why? Because you think it's tragedy, but how do you know that it's not triumph? Right? To us, it looks like when kids pass away that a life is cut short. But to God, it may be the soul spared from evil. And it actually says that in the Bible when you look at Isaiah 57:1 and 2, it's super clear. "The righteous perisheth, right? And no man layeth it to heart. He is taken away. It says, from the evil to come, he shall enter into peace." Do you guys understand what I'm saying here? Right. So we call that timing too soon. Oh, he was gone too soon. No, God says right on time. You guys got that right. To you, the grave is the end. To God, the grave is the beginning. That's what people don't recognize. Again, if you're going to sit here and use your own thoughts, because Isaiah 55:8-9 says, "My thoughts are not your thoughts. My will is not your will. My way is not your way." Right? Then you you're not going to understand because you're using your thoughts. That's why people say these types of things. Understand?
Why would God allow innocent children to suffer? Everyone asks this question. But none of us are born innocent. Psalm 51:5, Romans 5:12, Isaiah 59, right? All these scriptures tell us we're not born innocent, guys. We're born evil. Maybe not evil in your eyes, sure, but your eyes don't matter. Your standard doesn't matter. God's standard and his will does. But the thing about it is, in Matthew 18, God covers us with his mercy. So when sometimes people think when children pass away that he's punishing them. No. How come you don't see it as he's rescuing them? Rescuing them from this world of trauma, world of depression, world of Why don't we see it like that? People don't want to see it like that because we're selfish at the core. Of course, it feels cruel, but you're the judge. You judge what's cruel and what's not cruel. Understand what I'm saying? Make sense, guys? So, does God cause the death? No. But he does allow it and he does redeem it. That's what it is. You guys understand? Right? God's mercy goes deeper than what we can ever understand. Even beyond death, guys, is what I'm saying.
