Have you ever had that sick feeling in your stomach when you see someone that's like half your age with half your knowledge making 10 times your income and it's not jealousy that you're feeling? What you're feeling is ache. What you're feeling is the pain of knowing that you haven't actually reached your own full potential. And it's your spirit recognizing that you are disobeying the call that God has put you in. And so while you have been preparing but actually procrastinating, collecting certificates and degrees like they are participation trophies and they all started these other people doing what you want to do with maybe a phone in a dream or something else. And meanwhile there's something else happening here underneath the surface. And what I'm going to share with you in this video is going to free you from ever feeling unqualified and having that hold you back from being where you're supposed to be or from comparing yourself to anyone else's calling again.
You see, to think that you are unqualified means that you fundamentally understand what God asks of us in order to move and what being called by God actually even means. So, I'm going to break down each mis of misunderstanding and there are five misunderstandings that you're going to see and each one is going to remove a cloud and by the end of this video you're going to be seeing the sun come in and seeing oh happy day because once I understood these things literally I went from struggling for years to building a sevenf figureure business in less than 12 months and it was only because of understanding these things that I was able to break through and do that and I'm so happy to share it with you. So if you're ready for the video, you can hit thumbs up. Let's get right into it.
So the first misunderstanding is this is that God does not start with where you will be, but he starts with exactly where you are. So when we look at second Kings in scripture, we see this truth time and time again. And that's God starts with where you are and what you have right now. You see, in this story, a widow comes to the prophet Elijah and her husband is dead. Her debts are mounting and her sons are about to be taken as slaves to pay what she owes. She doesn't come with a plan. She doesn't come with a five-step situation. She comes She doesn't come with capital or with clarity or with control. She comes desperate and broken and empty. And what does Elisha say? Speaking on behalf of God, he says, "What do you have in your house?" Not, "What do you wish you had?" Not what does that guy over there have that you don't? Not go get this and come back. Not here's three things that you need to become first in my five-step plan. He says what is already in your house. And what does that reveal to us about God is that God doesn't start based on your future, but he starts with your present. He doesn't need the you of your fiveyear vision board. He's not waiting for your next launch or your next degree or your next wave of motivation. He just wants what he already put in your hands. And this is why it matters to you because if you keep waiting to feel ready, you're going to miss that God already gave you something to respond with. He's not asking you for anything he didn't already give you in the first place. That thing that you're calling not enough is your oil. That hidden skill, that overlooked idea, that mustard seed amount of energy that you still have after crying yourself to sleep. That is what he multiplies. You see, God multiplies what is in motion, not what you keep in storage. And you keep asking for overflow, but you haven't poured. You haven't poured the first dropped. You keep asking for the Lord to give you an abundance of fruit, but you haven't planted or watered the seed he already gave you. You keep waiting for the fire to fall, but the altar hasn't even been built. He's not asking you to be impressive. He's asking you to be obedient. And we talked about faithfulness in the last video. If you missed that one, those who are in my faithful for the next 5 months, comment below, because this is where it gets into the next misunderstanding because maybe you're waiting to feel like the person who can do this. But that's the next lie that most of us believe. It's the misunderstanding that we have to become someone else and be in the full culmination of who we want to be before we can get there. The misunderstanding is that the you that you are now is the you who will be doing the thing that God has called you to do at the end of the day. You see, the thing that you got to get is that in the going happens the becoming. Did you catch that? In the going happens the becoming. Not before it, but within it. I say this to my students all the time. The answers are in your action. Your clarity comes after you are obedient, not before. You see, this is something that I had to learn. And something that nobody told me that I want to tell you right now, especially if you are praying for abundance and overflow in the area of finances is that money does change you, but not in the way that you think. Because it's not having the money that changes you. It's who you had to become to be able to hold it, to be able to be the type of person who could create that type of wealth. Because do you know what money is? Money is just an exchange of value. the wealthiest people in this world just means that they created either a lot of value for a lot of people or something deeply valuable for a smaller amount of people. And this is the thing is I didn't become the type of person who could do that based on who I was at the beginning. God grew me through the journey into the person who could slay the dragon by the end of it only by and through his grace. You see this is like you are a sprout. You're a little sprout, right? And you're like already freaking out cuz I don't know how I'm going to carry apples. Like, how could I possibly create apples? I don't even have any branches. Like, I don't even have my roots aren't even deep enough to do that. And do you not think your heavenly father who loves you knows that? Do you not think that he who has accounted for the stars, who has accounted for every single hair that is on your head, who catches your tears in a jar, is confused about what your capacity is when he's the one who created you. And listen, I'm preaching to myself because this this my own calling that the Lord has put on my life. There was a point where I was nervous where I was nervous to show up because I'm like, well, Lord, I don't know how I would deal with that. Like, I don't know how I would deal with having a larger audience than what I have now. People have already seen me and like stopped me on the street and I feel like I don't even have an audience that's like that warrants that sort of response. And I was kind of scared. And I'm like, and you know what the Lord said to me is like, number one, I've not given you a spirit of fear, but number two, like, do you not think I'm going to I'm going to do it? Like, and that's the thing. That's the next thing that we often misunderstand is you think you're going to do it yourself. You're not doing it yourself. 2 Corinthians 3:5 says, "Not that we are competent in ourselves, but that our competence comes from God." John 15:5 says, "I am the vine, you are the branch. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he is it that bears much fruit. And apart from me, you can do nothing." You see, I had to hold my little tootsie roll up because I was thinking for a moment, for just a m that I would be the one doing something. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything is coming from us, but our sufficiency in God. That is 2 Corinthians 3:5. You see, you may work, but even the work that you do is only the work that he allows you to do. It is God who wills, who works, and who brings fruit. If you've never gardened, I recommend that you do because what you will see is amazing. You will you will get a pot. You'll put some dirt in it, okay? Maybe some fertilizer if you're fancy. All right? You're going to put a seed and you're going to put some water. You're going to put on a window sealer outside. You're going to go to bed. You're going to wake up in the morning and nothing will happen. And then you're going to water it again. You're going to wake up in the morning and nothing will happen. And then one day by no effort of your own something will come up. And it's not something that could come up because you worked harder. You can't. In fact, overwatering a plant kills it. Okay? And if you leave it dry, it also kills it. And if you sit there and watch it, it doesn't grow any faster. You see, you do you understand what I'm saying? The only way that plant grows is because God provided the increase. So all you have to do is worry about faithfulness. Don't think for a moment that you are going to be accomplishing this outcome, accomplishing whatever aim, accomplishing something on your own and out of your own strength. This is the truth. This is a radical truth that I didn't learn till way too late in my life, but I'm thankful I have it now. Is that God never called you to work for him. We hear that all the time in the church, don't we? Right? It's like you work for God, right? He called you to let him work through you. Isaiah 6464:4 says, "No eye has seen a God besides you, who works for those who wait for him." What does that mean? Have you thought about what that means? What that means for your life? What that means for my life? What that means for this whole concept of being qualified for anything at all? Is that you don't initiate? You guys, you can't tell me. It's crazy. You can't tell me that we think that the God who gave us the seed isn't going to see the good work that he started to completion. How do we think that he is not going to be when he literally has gone before us and made our paths clear? And clear doesn't mean without obstacle. Understand me. You see, understand this that we don't initiate. We don't even sustain. That we do not carry the weight. God does. You wait. Not by being passive, okay? But by pausing, asking, trusting and then moving with him, not apart from him, okay? God is not glorified by hiring you as his employee. You see, that's what's so crazy about this whole idea of being qualified is you think that God is hiring you to do a job. You think that you are meant to get in get your interview clothes on and that that God is of this world and he's looking for just the prime help and he's going to go back and call your references and see how you did and maybe if you did the right stuff then he's going to approve you for the job. That's not how it works. You see, he is glorified by showing up as your source. You don't carry the mission. He carries you. Christianity doesn't begin with a help wanted sign and God is recruiting all these people on his team to play for him. It begins with help available. You don't serve a God who says, "Come in here and you impress me." You serve a God who says, "I will carry you." And you were never meant to be bootstrapping your calling out of your own strength, out of your own will. You were meant to bow independence and rise in grace. Okay? Don't misunderstand that because you will not do it yourself.
And then furthermore, understand that your lack of success, this is the next misunderstanding, is not God's failure. So God's thoughts are so much higher than ours. And this is where we can get confused because we can think that because something didn't work the way we wanted it to work that that means it didn't work. It doesn't. God is so big. Let me let me tell you a story that somebody told me that changed my perspective on a lot of things. I want you to imagine this woman, okay? And she has a plan and it's a simple and good plan. She paid a neighborhood boy to mow her lawn and she just asked the neighbors to watch her kids while she goes to the bank to get the cash because she forgot to get cash, right? So, the neighbors say that's totally fine. They have a house showing in a couple of hours, but again, it's a couple of hours. They think that's totally fine. The boy should be done doing the lawn by the time she gets back. And her kids are quite lovely. Okay, so she leaves. She gets in the car. She's driving to the bank and oh my gosh, there's an accident. She's safe. But of course, there's a whole other story that's going on with the people in the accident, what God's doing in their life. But in her life now, she's in traffic, right? And just to get to the bank, it's going to it took 2 hours for her to do that. And then obviously there's still traffic on the way back because, you know, there are people looking on the other side of the road slowing down the road. And so when she gets there, she didn't even get to the bank on time. The bank is closed. So she doesn't have the money. She comes back, the people who needed to go to the showing, they end up missing their showing. you know, she comes back and then the boy, he doesn't have the money that he needed to to be paid for the stuff. And so, and then of course, she's frustrated. She feels like a she feels so upset because now all these things have happened because because of her. Now, wait, pause. Most of us would say at her aim, she failed, right? If we're talking success according to the world, which is that you get to accomplish what you want, then she did fail. But did she? You see, because what the Lord was doing in the background was so much more. You see, the people whose house it was supposed to be, it was actually a faulty house. And there were undisclosed things. And if they would have gotten that house, the first week, it would have cost them $20,000. And that $20,000 was the money that would then go to him being able to take care of his dying father and allow his life to be extended another 10 years. You see, and the little boy who isn't going to get that money, he was actually going to pull that money with some of his friends to go buy some drugs. But because he didn't have the money, he didn't end up doing it. And it completely sent his life on a different trajectory because he no longer hung out with those people because afterwards they didn't want to hang out with him anymore. And do you know what she got out of this? The Lord taught her faithfulness and patience and trust throughout that experience when she was sitting in traffic that she got to sit and have a conversation with her father that brought her closer to him. God does not fail everything. And it's not just about you. So many times when we're thinking about success, we're thinking about it for ourselves and how if what we wanted to happen happened and it's like but no, but God doesn't fail. And so when you're thinking about like it's hard for me to trust God because I'm unqualify that. Psalms 140 145:13 says, "The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does." If he's faithful in all he does, then what do we need to worry about? What do we need to worry about when he is the one who is taking us through? You see, we already touched on doing it yourself, which is about pulling from your own strength, right? But doing it alone is different than doing it yourself. You see, doing it alone would be like you don't have the Lord who goes before you, who is with you, and who will not leave you or forsake you, and who says, "Do not fear, do not be dismayed." You see, Ephesians 2:10 says, "We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." You are not alone. Okay? And then the Bible also says in Proverbs 15:22 that without counsel plans go ary but in the multitude of counselors they are established. And the Bible says that two is better than one for when one falls he can be picked up by the other. And that a three a three strand cord is not easily broken. You see be not alone in walking towards your calling.
And if you are confused about what that is and you are thinking like, I know that this corporate job that I'm at is not where I'm supposed to be, but I need help. I want some wise counsel. I want some direction. Because there's a difference between looking for qualifications in order to try to justify yourself or prove to yourself that you're good enough to do something. When again, the Lord is the one who is our competence, who is our calling, who is our help, who's going to lead us and take us and we're going to learn on the way. But if you're looking for direction, if you're looking for intentionality and you want to learn how to be able to use your skills and monetize them, how to turn your ideas into income, then you can have a plan for that. That is wisdom. And so if you're interested in what I do and how I've been able to make six figures a month, literally my annual salary that I used to make at my job every year while walking in learning and teaching and sharing my insights and fascinations and being able to monetize the story that God has given to me and not monetize but multiply it in ways that have changed my family generations from now will be impacted by this. And I have a new free training that you can check out in the description and it goes into depth with all of this and it is not for everyone. But if you have been praying for financial freedom and you want a way to make uncapped income, if you have been praying for the ability to work from anywhere in the world and you want to not just not do work, but you want to do work that's meaningful, that's aligned and that can be an expression of the things you're already interested in, then that could be the opportunity that you have been waiting for. So you can check it out in the description and I will see you there if that's for you.
But overall, what I want you to understand is that if you haven't figured this out and maybe you've been thinking like I want to be faithful. You watched the first video like I want to be I want to do this without having to worry about being qualified and now it's just a matter of what to do and how to do it. And maybe you feel like that you're lazy and that you just need to push harder and learn more. And when you try to take those steps, you feel like something is constantly holding you back. But what if the reason that you are struggling to work isn't because you are doing something wrong necessarily, but because you're working in the wrong way. And if you found it hard to even figure out what direction to go in, you constantly feel unmotivated and aimless and just emotionally allergic to your own goals that you set that you can't even find yourself working towards them. If deep down you're frustrated because you know that you're made for more and you can see that potential, but you can't access it. You can't seem to make yourself move, then it's going to surprise you when I say this, but it might not be that you need more discipline. And what you do need is exactly what we're going to be going over in the next video. So, subscribe if you don't want to miss it. Thumbs up this video if you really felt aligned and comment the Lord has qualified me if you resonated with it. So I will see you guys in the next.
