[music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] Nat. N. [music] [music] >> [music] [music] >> Everybody glad to be in the house of the Lord. Lord, we're going to get into the word of the Lord. But before we do, let's pray and ask God to meet with us in a special way.

Heavenly Father, we ask you today that your presence will [music] come down this special time, Lord, where we have our evangelists going to speak to our hearts and instruct us and give us words of wisdom. We thank you for it. Anoint the word today. Anoint the preaching, every song. We thank you for it this tremendous weekend. We thank God for that. best Lord you'll guide us ahead and we give you praise in Jesus name. Amen.

Now I know some of you are going to think this is because I turned 70 on [music] Friday but I cannot read the words of this song and it's not because of my eyesight. This this is not copied something wrong with our copier. It's very I think it says sewing in the morning, sewing seeds of kindness. Okay, if I hold it like this, I can almost see it. Sewing in the noon tide and the dewy eve. Waiting for the harvest. All right, let's just give it a try. What do you say? Anybody know this song? Come on, somebody say yes. Just act like you know it. Here we go.

Sewing in [singing and music] the morning. Sewing seeds of kindness. Sewing [singing] in the noon [music] tide and the dewy e. Waiting for the harvest and the time of reaping. [music and singing] We shall come rejoicing. Bringing in the sheav. Oh, [music] bringing in [singing] the sheav. Bringing in the sheav. We shall [music and singing] come rejoicing. Bringing in the sheav. Bringing [music and singing] in the sheav. Oh, bringing in the sheath. We shall [music] come rejoicing. Bringing in the she. Oh, bringing in the she. Bringing in the sheets. We shall [music] come rejoicing. Bringing in the sheets. Bringing in the [music and singing] she. Bringing in the she. Come [music] rejoicing. Bringing in the she.

All right. Now, old age can't give you a voice to sing. No, here we go. All right, we're going to try and one more verse. Are you ready for us, Brother French? Can we sing one more verse? Oh, help us. I say no. Say no. Say no. All right. [music] It says here, uh, sewing in the sunshine. Sewing in the shadow. Is it [music] on the screen everybody? Praise God. Hallelujah. Oh, sewing in the sunshine. Sewing in the sea. Oh, we shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheav. Everybody bringing in the sheets. Bringing in the sheets. [music] We shall come rejoicing. Bringing in the sheets. Bringing in the sheets. Bringing in the [music] sheets. We shall come [singing] rejoicing. Bringing in the she. [music]

Let's praise him a little bit. Hallelujah. Praise God. Praise the Lord. We're so excited to have uh Pastor Joe Campella with us today and uh a dear friend and here for the weekend. And I twisted his arm and he's going to talk to us, preach to us, preach to us about altar working. And uh one of the most important things we can do is see souls filled with the Holy Ghost. Amen. And lives touched in the altar. So we welcome him. Uh brother, come take your liberty. God bless you. We love you.

Well, good morning everybody. Praise the Lord. You may be seated. Such an honor to be here. We are having and we always have had a wonderful time with the French family and uh they are just some of the most loving people on planet earth and we love them so much and our love grew for them last night as we scarfed down their cheeseburger soup and their white chili chicken soup. If you don't feel the Holy Ghost when you are eating those things, you need to pray through. Praise God. We're having the wonderful time, a monumental weekend, uh, for pastoral installation. I give honor to your pastor, uh, Pastor Ryan French and his wife and family. We love them so much. And then the bishop, brother and sister French, we love them. God bless them in Jesus name. I am here to talk about altar working. Anybody want to be used of God in the altar? I'm going to read some scriptures to you and we will dive right in. So great to have my wife and my children and our special guest Liliana with us. And uh we're just having a good time. God's so good. Acts chapter 8 and verse 14. Then after that, 1 Timothy chapter 4 and verse 14.

Acts 8:14 says, 'Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John, who when they were come down prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Ghost. For as yet he was fallen upon none of them, only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.' Everybody say they put their hands on them. 1 Timothy 4:14, "Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the presetry." With the laying on of the hands.

So this kind of teaching, Paul talked about this being some of the elementary doctrines of apostolic Pentecostalism. And I believe just as we should be skilled workers in the knowledge of the oneness of God, skilled workers in the knowledge of scripture, Jesus name baptism. I believe this is a fundamental doctrine for Christians of laying on of hands on each other. Uh the church is really a touchyfey place to be. And what happens in the altar is profoundly important. Most people most people are born again right up here. Most people are delivered right up here. Most people are renewed right up here. Most encouraging words are spoken right up here. Most spiritual breakthroughs happen right up here. And if we are not skilled, we might make mistakes at very crucial moments in this altar. And at the least, someone might be hindered. At the worst, someone might be destroyed. I've seen complete disasters because of the level of mishap that happen in the altar. And we can avoid those things. We can we can learn our way past those things. Apostolic altars need skilled workers that will help accomplish God's will in the altar. And so the doctrine of the laying on of hands goes back to the Old Testament. God used the hands as a channel for supernatural impartation. Uh the body conducts electricity. We uh when I was youth pastor, we did unique and strange things to keep the attention of our young people. One of the things we did was we got a dog shock collar and we put it on uh we had 20 kids around holding hands and we put it on level one and everybody felt a little tickle sensation because the current was flowing through our bodies and uh we were doing a pain test, a pain tolerance test and we went up to level two and the jolt got stronger. Went up to level three all the way I think to level 14 was the maximum. By level 14, there was only a few of us left. And unfortunately, the smaller the crowd, the greater the shock. And uh but but the the spiritual revelation is that there is something that flows through your body. Your body is a channel. It's a conduit.

God used Isaac to lay hands on Jacob and a destiny was changed. Jacob laid his hands on Ephraim and Manasseh and destinies were changed. Y'all remember that story where he wanted to put his right hand on Manasseh, but Joseph or or Jacob put his right hand on Ephraim instead. The younger a destiny was altered by the laying on of hands. Moses laid his hands on Joshua. Elisha laid his hands on King Joash. Jesus laid his hands on many people, lepers, blind people, disciples, and the last person Jesus laid his hands on was an enemy, Malchus, the servant of the high priest that had come to arrest him. Peter and John laid their hands on all the city of Samaria in Acts chapter 8. That must have been some kind of prayer line where an entire city had l hands laid on him. Ananas laid his hands on Paul. Paul was converted, filled with the Holy Ghost. Paul laid his hands on many as well. The disciples at Ephesus in Acts 19, Paul laid his hands upon them and they received the gift of the Holy Ghost. When Paul was shipwrecked at Malta, he laid hands on someone with a life-threatening dysentery. and the rest of the barbarians on the island heard that this person was healed and an an island prayer line was started and God healed every single person by the laying on of hands. Paul also prayed seemed to have prayed through Timothy to the Holy Ghost in 2 Timothy 1:6 he said wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. I put my hands on you and you receive something from God through my spirit. The elders that Paul ordained also laid hands on Timothy. 1 Timothy 4:14, "Deglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the prespetry." Something was transmitted from the prespetry.

And then in the book of Hebrews, it talks about the foundational apostolic doctrine of the laying on of hands. Hebrews 6 and one. Therefore, leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, not abandoning the principles, but leaving them because they are first grade, second grade. We're moving on to third and fourth and fifth and 12th grade in college. Let us go on unto perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands. This is a doctrine that was taught in the New Testament church how to properly lay hands on people. There's a way to do it and there's a way not to do it. And the power of God is transmitted through the laying on of hands. Gifts are transmitted to others by the laying on of hands. The Holy Ghost itself is transmitted by the laying on of hands. Luke 6:19. And the whole multitude sought to touch him, for there went virtue out of him and healed them all.

I remember a phone call I made to uh brother Lee Stone King. I called him one afternoon and I just said, "Pops, I when I pray for people, I don't feel anything anymore. What's wrong with me?" Anybody ever felt that one person? My God. Anybody ever felt like you might have been missing the will of God because you just don't feel him anymore? I know it's Sunday morning class, but I ain't used to people just looking at me. I'm gonna come after you. We're going to merge these two services here in a second. Anybody ever feel like you God may have changed his mind about you because you just don't feel him anymore? Yeah, I think everybody has. And I I called him and I said, "What's going on? Am I missing the will of God? Has God changed his mind about me?" He said, "No." He said, 'W what's happened is you have moved from being the end result of the power to being a channel for the power. The light bulb lights up when the power hits it because it's the end of the line. But the wire that carries the power, you don't see any outward sign whatsoever. But if you touch it, anybody ever touched a live wire, you'll never forget it. It's a wonderful feeling. I highly recommend it with parental control. Of course, when you move from being the recipient of the power to a channel for the power, you stop feeling things. But we walk by faith and not by sight and by feeling. And the Bible says when they touched him, probably the most famous story that demonstrates this is the woman with the issue of blood. She touched him and Jesus said, "Virtue has gone out of me." When she touched my clothing, when she touched something connected to me, a spiritual power went out of me. Everybody say virtue. Something called virtue left Jesus. The Greek word for virtue is dunamis. Force, strength, ability, power. The Bible says it left him when they touched him. And so virtue is what does the work. Virtue is what healed her. First it was in Jesus and then it was released to her from the body of Jesus. It healed her. He felt it go. And so the lesson is is that we are conduits of spiritual power. Spiritual power has to first fill us. Everybody say it has to fill me. And then if you are full of spiritual power, spiritual power can flow out of you to someone else. And you can feel that spiritual power release through you. Sometimes when I pray for somebody, uh, one need requires more spiritual power than another. One need requires more virtue than another. And there have been times where I almost blacked out just touching somebody. this all of a sudden everything just closes in because virtue left my body so quickly. And when I go home and I begin to feel the anointing lift off of my body, a deep exhaustion will come on my body. Why? Because my virtue is depleted. Spiritual power is gone. It's something that must be filled and it's something that can be emptied and then it must be refilled. And Jesus was always doing things that filled and refilled his virtue. Notice right before he began his ministry, he went on a 40-day fast. What happened? Luke 4:13. And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. And Jesus returned in the power of the spirit full of virtue. And there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. The word again power here is dunamis. It's virtue. He's filled with it. His time of the wilderness, his time of fasting and prayer filled his body with spiritual power. I believe sometimes the reason why we cannot get anything to happen around us is because we have missed a season of God [snorts] filling us with spiritual power. Hello, somebody.

And and Jesus, it's interesting. The Bible says the devil left him for a season. What it did not say is that Jesus went looking for the devil when he left him. I'm going to go fight the devil now. Man, I've been in the Holy Ghost. I'm ready to fight a devil. You are not supposed to live in a We're going to actually get to the laying on of hands here in a second. Okay? But you're not supposed to live in a warfare state all the time. If you if you are constantly in warfare, something is off. There are seasons when you do warfare, but if you are filled with the power of the spirit, the devil's going to leave you after a while because he's going to get really, really tired. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principality, powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Everybody say, "It's a wrestling match." And so, there's two people in this wrestling match. One is us and one is the devil. A re anybody ever wrestled? It is exhaust. You've wrestled, Pastor Ryan here and there professionally, semi-professionally. It is exhausting. You get two people, strong people, they're fighting each other, they're wrestling. It will deplete you faster than anything. You have to have the greatest cardio on earth to be a professional wrestler. And the Bible says we wrestle with the devil. And so there is exhaustion that will come to you and come to him. And here is the secret. If you are weary wrestling the devil, imagine how he feels because we get to be renewed and the devil does not. He's got to leave. He's got to go away from you so he can recoup his strength. And so we do not need to drain our virtue unnecessarily. There are things in life that may not be sin, but they are weights and they will steal your virtue. And if you really want to be effective in the spirit, you're going to have to go down the list of your life and look at things that steal your virtue. When you think of professional athletes, oh my goodness, I know y'all do understand I am not a professional athlete. That is not a uh it's not something I do, but I've studied them and I have seen at the highest levels. They watch everything that goes into their mouth. They are scientific about their sleep. Some of them take multiple naps throughout the day. Doesn't that sound wonderful? Why? Because it recovery happens and and they eating a certain amount of greens and a certain amount of veggies and proteins. What's going on? They are watching everything that goes into their mouth because when the moment comes for them to execute, they want to be at the highest level. God, help us Christians. We go and we play and we watch television and we go do this and we go do that and we hang out with all this dirt and then all of a sudden we come into church, we want to put our hand on somebody and expect something to happen. That's why it's not happening. Your virtue got stolen throughout the week. Listen, if you want to be effective in the altar and effective in the spirit and effective when you pray and when you say in the name of Jesus, something's going to happen. You are going to have to guard your virtue, guard your spiritual power, put up boundaries in your life.

>> I don't know why I'm stuck here, but I'm stuck here. It says that Jesus fed the crowds and he gave them the loaves and the fishes. There's estimates of of 12,000 people that he fed in that crowd. And then John said of Jesus, but he would not join himself to any of them. He healed them. He fed them. But he wouldn't join himself to him because he knew what was in man. He needed no one to testify of the heart of man. What in the world is going on? He managed who he was emotionally connected to because he's only got so much energy and so much virtue. Listen, you know the best thing you can do when you come into this church if you want to be an effective altar worker, you have managed your connections. You have you have sought the Lord. You have been in the presence of God. And when you come in here, you are ready to execute. Amen. Amen. You will need virtue to minister to people, to work miracles. Anybody want to work a miracle? We get awkward when we say that. But the Bible says that over and over. And Peter did this miracle. And Paul did this miracle. Now, we know the source of the miracle is Jesus Christ, right? But you are the conduit. Jesus doesn't do anything without a human partner. Wouldn't you like to work a miracle? You you touch somebody and they're instantaneously healed in their body. To teach Bible studies, it requires virtue. Anything you do that helps people in the kingdom, you've got to guard and replenish your virtue. Otherwise, you won't have it when you need it. It's so important that we learn how to build a reservoir of virtue. What? What is the time on this session, Pastor Ryan? Normally, how long do you go? 11. Okay. I'll be done before that, I think. Well, I know I'll be done by then, but I think I'll be done before then. We have to learn how to build a reservoir of virtue. We have to create daily habits that allow us to touch Jesus. How do you receive virtue? You have to touch him. That's the only way to get virtue. You have to touch Jesus. And service becomes a completely different experience when you come with virtue. When you have been filled with virtue before a lot of unfortunately a lot of churches, a lot of people in in the religious world and unfortunately this creeps into Pentecost, but they come to church to get their breakthrough. They come to church to get their virtue. I want to tell you something. church. Church is a refuge. Church is a place to get a breakthrough. Church is a place to receive virtue and direction. But there should be something in us that says, "I want to pray before I ever get to church." That way, the man of God is released to impart to me something. He doesn't have to work through the flesh I've been unwilling to work through. He doesn't have to work through all the chaos that I've been unwilling to work through. I'm going to take the pressure off of Pastor Ryan to preach me into a spiritual place. I'm going to get there before I ever come to church. That way, when I hear his voice and I hear the man of God open his mouth, there is an unclouded, uncluttered channel that's going directly to my spirit.

>> Everybody say pre-ervice prayer. Hey, I advise you. I in the name of Jesus challenge you. pray through before you ever come to church. Uh get in the Holy Ghost before you ever come to church. Uh get to that place where you're even shaking and trembling and talking in tongues before you ever get to church. Why? Because you'll bring your virtue and they'll bring their virtue and a Holy Ghost explosion will happen.

>> You've already touched him. You've already conquered self. You've already put your flesh on the altar. You've already broken through. You've already gotten in the spirit. Jesus went to the synagogue all the time. Imagine how ineffective Jesus would have been if he needed to receive a word when he went to the synagogue. He went full of the Holy Ghost. He was able to minister when he got there. The devil wants your home life to be out of order. So you will always come to church needing instead of giving. The devil wants your marriage to be out of order. I I am going to get to altter working. So you'll always come to church needing instead of giving. The devil wants you to be emotionally dysfunctional. So you will always come to church needing instead of giving. The devil wants your emotions, your children out of order. So you'll always come to church needing instead of giving. It is impossible to have virtue to minister when your personal life is dysfunctional. This is more than some mystical formula that we live and we speak this mystical name and our lives line up and now we can no we have got let me tell you the greatest form of dominion is not dominion I get so sick my god I'm already starting to feel a preaching spirit on me I'm trying to calm down I get so sick of hearing about the spirit of Jezebel I feel like I just committed sin by even saying that. Is it real? Yeah. Okay. There's this there's this spirit of Jezebel. I felt it when I came into this region. I can smell the bone. I want to tell you something. And and and listen, I've I've dealt with the spirit of Jezebel. I've dealt with witches. I've dealt with warlocks. I've dealt with Hindu demon-possessed priests. We just went we just got back from Thailand. We're actually very spiritual right now. We're all getting up super early in the morning. We just got back a few days from Thailand and we dealt with people possessed of devils there. And my God, I believe in all this stuff. But we have created a doctrine. We have created a warfare doctrine that does not exist in scripture. Where is Paul's teaching on how to deal properly with voodoo? Where is Paul and Peter's teaching on how to deal properly with the witches in your region that might be cursing your church? Where is the teaching in the New Testament on how to destroy the spirits that inflict generational curses? We have so much extra biblical writing. If you type in the spirit of Jezebel in YouTube, you will get hours worth of teaching on how to conquer it, how to discern it, how to identify it, how to Spotify it, whatever. Let me tell you something. The greatest form of dominion is not dominion over Jezebel. The highest form of dominion is not even dominion over Lucifer. The highest form of dominion is dominion over self. And if you learn to put yourself on the cross, every devil and hell will yield to you when you say in the name of Jesus. Uh if you learn to put yourself on the altar, there is no force, there is no witch or witchesh that can curse you because greater is he that's in ush than he that's in the world. [screaming]

So, what do we have to do if we're going to be effective ministers of this power? We got to get ourselves together. >> Got to get our spirits, our emotions, our minds together. We've got to learn to live in the spirit and crucify our flesh. And then we learn to get virtue from his touch consistently. And then when we come to the house of God, we become a conduit for his power. I I remember the first time the Lord I I was began preaching and I was praying a lot. Maybe for some a lot, maybe for others not a lot. But I remember this particular day. I think I prayed five or six hours. And I was just I was in a place, a special place with the Lord. And and I went to I preached that night. The Holy Ghost took over. I preached the message calls. It's now or never. And it was a youth service. And man, the young people were drunking the Holy Ghost. They were just going nuts. And I was I was so happy. God's actually using me. What? Man, people are having a great time and rolling on the floor and you just apostolic mayhem. And I remember there were some young people over in the corner that did not have the Holy Ghost. One of them was my nephew. And I I was done preaching and I was I was in that special place of ministry where I don't have to touch anybody. I would just kneel at the altar and stay in the Holy Ghost. And and I looked over there and I saw them praying and I saw people praying with him and the Holy Ghost spoke to me. He said, ' If you will go put your hands on them and tell them when you touch them, they will begin to speak with tongues, I will fill all of them with the Holy Ghost. Man, I was scared. Anybody ever heard that? Go pray for them. And you're like, who me? I'm gonna let Pastor Ryan pray for him. I'm gonna let I'm gonna let the altar workers, the super spiritual go God wants me to pray for them. Yeah. Yeah. You go pray for them. Can I tell you a secret? It's when you come to church ready to give that you actually receive the most.

>> It's when you come to church ready to pour out for somebody else that you actually get the thing that you haven't been getting. It's actually when you come to church uh and you're focused on someone else's need uh that God begins to focus on your need. Uh because when you love the things God loves, uh God will put his attention on the stuff you love. So I went over there and I just told the the first girl, there was three young people, girl, nephew, girl, and I was scared half to death. And I told her, I said, "Listen, I'm about to pray for you. When I touch your head, the Holy Ghost will come upon you. You will begin to speak in tongues. Do you want it? You believe it'll happen?" I was delaying every way I could. Are you ready for it? Can you see it in your mind's eye? Can you smell it? Taste it, touch it, behold it, imagine it. Okay. Now, the moment of truth in the name of Jesus. Sometimes we close our eyes because we don't want to see what's not going to happen. And I touched her and the Holy Ghost came on her. She began to speak with tongues. First time in my ministry. And before I could get to the other kids in line, they all got the Holy Ghost one after the other. Just started speaking in tongues. I I had been with Jesus all day long. And there was this reservoir of virtue ready to be released. I didn't understand it, but it was ready to go.

Now, no matter how spiritual you are and no matter how deep you are into this doctrine, there are a few things that we have to take care of. If your breath stinks, it doesn't matter how much virtue you have, your breath will limit your ability to minister properly. As a matter of fact, it'll have the opposite effect. You will be working for the other side. So, if you want to be an altar worker, brush them pearly whites and gargle. And I recommend having mints. Um, sometimes if you're not controlled with how you're praying, mints will become lethal flying projectiles. And so you might want to do breath spray instead if you have BO. Y'all are so quiet right now. Hey, this is the real stuff right here. I recommend if you want to be an effective minister, wash yourself before you come to church thoroughly and use chemicals, antibacterial chemicals called soap. How many of you put deodorant on today? God, look at this. Well, there's a witness in the spirit right now. How many of you lied to yourself and put some perfume and cologne and said, "Don't I smell good?" All those things will help you minister to somebody because if you don't have that, instead of the seeker hearing words of encouragement, they will hear words of discouragement, they will actually smell words of discouragement. Your good will be evil spoken of. So the first rule of effective altter working is make sure you have breath that is fresh. Spit is a problem for Pentecostals. It really is. We do not pray quietly. And every time you say a P word, they feel it not only in their spirit, but on their ear, there little flexcks come out. God, let your power come upon them. Give them a double portion, Lord. I want to prophesy to you powerfully, please. I've had some wonderful people. I remember one right now. It's coming to my mind. I remember I would you would know this person's name if I said it over the microphone. They begin to prophesy to me. It was a powerful prophecy, but I was 98% distracted because flexcks of spit were flying into my ear canal. So, here's what I recommend. This is what I recommend. Come here, Talmage. I didn't mean to release you from your cage. I guess they got that there to keep you keep you from So, so when you're praying for somebody, you don't want to pray like this because their face is a target. And I'm gonna have you turn your back towards the audience, sir.

>> And you don't you don't want to pray like this. I'm sorry, buddy. I'm gonna mess up your hair a little bit. Okay. It looks really nice.

>> Just does. It does look nice, but not for long. You don't want to pray like this because the side of their face is being pilted. What you want to do is you want to focus your spit on the people behind the person you're praying for.

>> That way the person you're praying for is not distracted.

>> Didn't he do amazing? My goodness, what an incredible young man. We also get loud when we pray, especially when we see a miracle happening. If somebody's getting the Holy Ghost, we do not pray quietly. I don't know that I've ever prayed for somebody to get the Holy Ghost. And I was like, "That's right. You're doing wonderful. Just just keep reaching. You're walking down the right path. Let's let's just feel our way through this, okay? Are you kidding me? If I see somebody get in the holy that's right [screaming] as speak, we get excited and that can hurt somebody's ear. And so again, you want to aim the the thrust of that volume back behind them. Okay? Otherwise, their Apple Watch will go off and said say the decibel levels have reached an unhealthy and it'll distract them from getting the Holy Ghost. [snorts]

There's a few other practical things we can do. Everybody understands virtue, right? You got to have virtue. These are the practical things that will kill an effective altar worker even if you do have virtue. Um, one of the things that we do in Pentecost is we shake people. Some people you really want to shake them, but I I advise against it. Um, you don't want to shake the person's head when you pray. Billy Cole talked about shaking people uh is a lack of faith because you're substituting God's power with physical activity. Don't shake it, speak it. Now, every once in a while, I will shake somebody's head because I just feel something that they need to be shaken. But I think that's a pastor's decision. perhaps, but some people might have neck issues. We just don't want to shake people. Speak to people. Speak to the mountain. Speak to the situation. And sometimes you may have a specific word to speak in somebody's ear. Um, I believe in that. I believe that there are um people that are very gifted in this church and in many churches. and you have something to say to someone. I just want to I want you to be aware. Come back up. Talmage. I want you to be aware of the We're going to know each other much better after this service or back to the audience. I want you to be aware of the awkwardness uh especially if it's a new person that's here. The awkwardness that might occur if you are really like he's he is this is a demonstration and he's awkward like he is very nervous right now. So So we want to be we want to be aware we want to be aware of physical proximity, right? Because our our presence can make somebody very nervous. Um and think about these things. You know, also if you're going to speak in someone's ear, make sure you do it openly every once in a while so the prophets can judge. We got a lot of earlo prophets that refuse to open their voice to be judged. And so, uh, it's very, very important that if you want to operate in that realm, my pastor taught us this, James Barnum, if you're always giving words in the ears of people, good. As long as you're lined up with your pastor. If you're not lined up with your pastor, several several things are going to hinder you there. First of all, it's not going to work because spiritual authority released requires spiritual submission. And the devils are not going to listen to you, nor will the angels listen to you when you speak. And so, but he always said, if you're giving words in the ear, make sure um periodically you give some loud enough for everybody else to hear so you can be judged. Amen.

Laying on hands releases the power of God through you. This is a public display of power. Faith is transmitted through your word. But public power requires private prayer. You cannot release breakthrough spirit if you yourself do not live in breakthrough spirit. You cannot release chainbreaking anointing if you yourself do not live in the dimension of chainbreaking anointed. When you touch somebody, what you are is released to them. what you have attained in Jesus is released to them. I encourage you, and again, we're going back to this, but I encourage you, get to a place in the spirit before you ever come to church where you are immersed in the power of God. I mean, saturated in that anointing, where you have overcome your doubts, you've overcome your fears. You You can get to a place in the spirit where there is no fear. You can get to a place, Hello, somebody. You can get to a place in the spirit where all doubts are washed away and all emotional trauma is under the blood. You can actually get to a place in the spirit where you are flowing in that Jesus dimension. And then when you touch somebody, what's inside of you, what has been imparted to you from him will be released. It's the same process. Jesus sent out the 70, right? And he said, "Behold, I give you power. I give you power. I give you exucia to tread upon the devil's dunamis. I give you my authority, delegated authority. So, it's our connection to Jesus that causes us to be effective in the altar. It has to happen in private.

I I remember um a profound moment that God allowed me to experience and it's marked my life forever. I was in and I I think I've even told this testimony here, but I was in a a church and I I was desperate for more of God and I was praying for visible miracles. I seen a lot of people get the Holy Ghost. A lot of invisible miracles uh as far as deaf ears, blind eyes, those things that you really can't see the process, but you see the result. And that's wonderful. But something inside of me was hungry for more. And I say, "God, I want to get to that dimension of prayer where I see physical things altered in front of my face. I want to see something like, I don't know, a tumor disappear." I just logged that prayer away and went to church and and that that service, the Holy Ghost fell. We were praying for people and an elderly lady came up to me and she tapped me on the shoulder and she said, "There's a lady back here that wants prayer." And it was so funny because I was praying for this person and I said, "I'll be with be with her in one moment." And this beautiful, wonderful elderly lady, white hair, she grabbed me and she she just kind of gently grabbed me and escorted me to the uh person. What are you not going to argue with that? And I got there and I said, "What's going on?" on and she said, "I have a tumor." And she showed me the tumor. It was a big bulge on her belly. She was new to church, never had been there before. She was wearing white pants, white blouse, and the the pants, the belt of the pants or the the waistband of the pants was over the tumor, like it was lifted up above it. And so, this bulge was there. And she's like, "I'm having I got to go have surgery." She was sobbing. Prognosis is horrible, and I just need a miracle from God. I had forgotten. I prayed the prayer that morning, but we just did what we did. And I said, "In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I curse this tumor at its roots. Let it disappear, go away forever in Jesus' name." And I just kind of prayed for her and she lifted her hands. Tears were flowing and I I started walking away and then she screamed. I'm talking a loud church arresting scream. And this was in a this was in a service where everybody was moderately screaming, but she she took the she took the cake. And she we all looked at her and she was flailing her arms, screaming, "It's gone. It's gone. It's gone." her pants started falling because the tumor was no longer there to hold them up. And she grabbed her pants and laid back in that seat and she was screaming. I remember distinctly looking at her and she said, "I can't believe [laughter] it. It's gone. It's gone. What is that? What is that? That is God using my hand, my body as a conduit for his supernatural power. And I encourage you, if you've never seen somebody receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, you need to pray, "God, I want I love it when Sister Taylor lays hands on somebody and they get the Holy Ghost. But I'm jealous. I want to lay hands on somebody and then get the Holy Ghost. I want to lay hands on somebody with terminal cancer and watch the cancer disappear. Come on, apostolic Pentecostals. Isn't that our heritage? You don't have to be some spiritual guru to be effective in the altar. You don't have to have understanding from angels to to be effective in the altar. You just need to be hungry and submitted and passionate about it and willing to try. I want to tell you something. So many people that have the potential to be used by God are simply unwilling to try. Why? They don't want to deal with failure.

>> God says, "Go lay hands on them." Now me, Lord. Yeah. It never was about you. I just need a pipe.

>> I just need a wire. It's never been about your personality. It's never been about your Pentecostal pedigree. I just need a wire to connect the miracle to the light bulb. I just need a wire that I can flow through. I want to release the miracle. I just want somebody's hands on [screaming] them. I want you to lift your hands and lift your voices right now and say, "God, use me." Come on. Don't pray quietly. I want you to pray with a little bit of passion right now. God, I want to be used in the altar. I want to put my hands upon the sick and watch them recover. I want to lay hands on people that need the Holy Ghost.

>> Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.

>> I understand the fear that's involved there. We don't want to look like an idiot. Anybody else here besides me? You don't want to look like an idiot? The devil will lie to us and we'll adopt the mentality, well, I don't want to make God look bad. I promise you, you won't make God look bad at all if it don't work. Problem is is it might make you look bad. Anybody else besides me? I'm gonna go till 10:55. I don't care if I'm in mids sentence. I'm stopping at 10:55. Anybody else besides me? You like you have faith for one level of miracle, but if a paralyzed person in a wheelchair rolls up, it's like you kind of avoid that area. Let's go lay hands on the sick. Everybody pray for someone. And the paralyzed guy is still waiting. We're laying hands on people that have a cold, have a headache, have a knee ache, pinky authoritis, and there's a paralyzed person. Y'all don't judge me. Y'all don't Y'all know I'm talking about the right thing, right? I'll never forget we went to Guatemala. We had a healing service and we had about I don't know 40 to 60 young people with us and everybody was claiming healing. Every single person in the room claimed they were instantly healed by God. And so faith was like God is awesome. It was all young people. So they're going nuts. People are screaming, crying, running. They've been healed. They've been healed. They've been healed. Everybody's healed. And it was like this is ending on a good note. You are disop door opens and a man wheels a paralyzed little boy to the front and I'm the preacher and I just being honest with you. I was like, "Oh no, we were ending on such a good note." Y'all forgive me for being honest right now, man. We had so many people healed and and some crazy person now wants to wheel up a disaster and mess up my service. And they brought this this little boy's head was crushed in. They did third world country. They did not have the reconstructive, I guess, capabilities that we have here, but his skull was smashed. He had been in a car accident and he was just slumped in the wheelchair. And the missionary came over to me and they said he was in a terrible car accident. He was completely paralyzed on his uh I might get the sides wrong but one of his sides is paralyzed and from the chest down. So like only one arm worked and they brought him up. And of course when they brought him up the entire building puts their focus on him and then they looked at me. I was like, "Oh, God." I remember I said, "We're going to go pray for this kid. God's going to touch him right now. I remember the young people did not hesitate, man. They because they were filled with faith. God had just healed everybody. There's like 60 people healed in the room. They they ran off the altar, lunged for the paralyzed kid. And I got down next to him and I remember I turned my face away from him. I'm so embarrassed about this, but this is this is so good. Such a wonderful thing. Wheelchair is here. I look away. I'm bowing. God, in the name of Jesus, all things are possible for you. Heal this. And the kids are just and all of the sudden I turned around just in time to see this paralyzed kid yanked out of the wheelchair by his belt, not by a human. He went out of the wheelchair waist first like Can I tell you something? I encourage you not to hesitate, not to second guess, but even if you're not doing it exactly right, just putting yourself in position to be the wire to connect the miracle to the need. Stop thinking about, hey, you know what the devil will bring to your mind? My God, it's 10:56. Let's Let's all stand right now. Lift your hands. The devil will bring to your mind a failure you've committed. You don't deserve to lay hands on anybody. I want to tell you, it's never been based upon us. It's a based upon the power of God. It's to your neighbor right now. Sisters and brothers together, spouses, would you pray for your neighbor? God, I want you to use them. Release them from all fear, apprehension, inhibition. God, I pray that they would be an open channel, an open conduit for the power of the Holy Ghost to flow. In the name of Jesus Christ, raise up mighty people of the spirit, mighty people in the altar, God, mighty skilled warriors in the kingdom and apostolic tabernacle in the name of the Lord Jesus.
