Welcome to Welty's YouTube channel, in my hot attic with 30 square meters of living space and a 5-meter ceiling height. Yes, and as you can see, west-facing with a large skylight. It always gets really hot here in the summer. You can't sleep here. It's absolutely unbearable. That's why you need an air conditioner here, and I bought the portable split unit because offers for a permanently installed system were far too expensive for me. I would have had to pay €15,000 for a four-way multi-split system from Mitsubishi. That was definitely too much for me, and I actually bought the Midea portable split with my own money, so no manufacturer sponsorship or anything like that. And I wanted to buy two more units. But I didn't, because at some point the prices went up so much. I waited so long that I would have had to pay 4,000-5,000 € for two units, and then I got an offer to have my multi-split system installed by a company for exactly the price I had initially envisioned, which is why I switched to Midea in the first place, for €8,000. I got the system myself, I wanted it that way. A Daikin Perfera, a multi-split, it hangs outside on the wall with the outdoor unit and has two indoor units. One here in the attic with 3.5 kW, so just as much as the Midea portable split. One in the living room, also 3.5 kW, then one in the guest room with 2 kW, and mine in my study also with 2 kW. The units have been running for quite a while now. The outdoor unit is super quiet, the indoor units are super quiet, but I thought, why couldn't we compare the Midea portable split in terms of performance, it's identical. Of course, there are a few disciplines where it will definitely lose. That's logical, right? I was also in the Midea portable split Facebook group, which I can highly recommend. Yes, because it started with 500 members, and now it has grown to several thousand members. I had already asked there if you would be interested in a video, and the interest was there. There were also other voices who said, "Oh no, you don't need something like that, right? You can't really compare it, it's pointless." But many said, "Well, I would be interested to know." Yes, how does it look in terms of noise level and cooling performance? With the same performance, namely 3.5 kW, how well can they maintain the temperature, how loud are they? Um, yes, as I said, those are the points, and especially the power consumption, and we'll just look at that now in my test.

So people, I am now in the hot attic. I'll turn over here. The window is open. I wanted it to be 30° here. And if we look at the app from XCS, we now have 30° in the bedroom, 32.9° in the garden shed, 32.4° in the garden. I'll show you what we currently have. We have to go to the correct thermometer, of course. So, back to the bedroom. So, we have 30° now, and as I said, I wanted to do the first test with the Midea portable split. As you can easily see, I have already set it up here. It is already installed here, and yes, you can also see the thermometer here, it shows the temperature, and next to it is the remote control for the Midea portable split. I have installed this "Follow Me" mode on it. I'll show you. You can see a little man here. I hope you can see it, that it indicates the temperature in the remote control, instead of measuring it at the unit, by being in contact with the system itself, with your Midea portable split. This means that if it is, for example, lying here in bed, yes, so here in principle, you would have your remote control lying on your nightstand, for example. The temperature would be transmitted exactly to the main unit and taken as a reference, and not the temperature that is in the Midea unit. Now, um, okay, 30°. I will now close the skylight, because I had it open. It's about 4:30 PM now. I will of course repeat the test tomorrow with the large Daikin air conditioner. Yes, because tomorrow we will have approximately the same temperature, and at the same temperature, you should then be able to compare it very well, right? So, the same outside and inside temperatures should be there tomorrow, so that you can compare something without getting too many measurement errors. Because the room cools down more slowly because it's much hotter outside the next day. That would cause a measurement error. Nevertheless, this is of course not a laboratory measurement, but simply my experience report. Yes, I'll grab my smartphone now and switch to the portable split. And my plan is to try out three things. No, actually four. Which air conditioner cools down the fastest to 23°? And I will simply let it run at 16° in turbo mode at maximum to achieve the fastest cooling. I'll stop the time a bit. I can do that here with the thermometer, this one. And next, I would of course also compare the noise level for you, and then of course how well it can regulate the temperature. That's also something I want to compare. And last but not least, of course, the power consumption, because the air conditioner up here will only run tomorrow for my test.

So, we are now starting the portable split and cooling down to 16°. And you can already see a difference here, because it shows 28°, so the thermometer on the remote control shows 28°. The XCS currently shows 30.1°. I would trust that more. We already have 81 watts. But we want more power. We want to cool down very quickly and are now going to maximum power. Yes, I don't think we need to do anything. Then I will activate the swing function, i.e., the up and down of the louvers, so that we have the same conditions there, and yes, you can already see, ah, it's going down to 30° again, and yes, I don't need a stopwatch either, because I have my XCS app here, and we can then see there how quickly it cools down. As I said, it's now approximately 4:34 PM and 30°, and at 23°, yes, we'll see each other again. I forgot one thing, we want the same conditions, of course, and we don't want the room to heat up unnecessarily. We are now lowering the exterior roller blind. I only had it up so that I could heat up the attic quickly. Normally, I close it during the day, and yes, you can see it here, right? The roller blind is now going down, and then the unit shouldn't have so much stress when cooling. Uh, yes, you can see it, right? It's going down now. It's also controlled by Home Assistant, the Tahoma box. Quite cool. This means it also sends out the RF signal, and yes, it's going down now, and then we'll see, as I said, what time it is. We still have 30.1°, so with the roller blind closed, it should all run significantly faster. Here's a little interim update. It's going quite fast, right? We are already at 28°, and uh, yes, just over 10 minutes the unit has been running now. Yes, and it's going down to 27.9°, which I think is pretty good. Now I want to look at the noise level with you. How does the power consumption look currently? For that, we need to go back to the portable split. You can already tell it's quite loud. You have to hear it in the video too. It's at 1.1 kW. That's really quite extreme. But as I said, we are also in full power mode. Um, but the temperatures seem to be slowly equalizing now. It shows 27° here. This shows 27.9°. So, somehow the difference, the temperature difference has become a bit smaller, and it's blowing, right? As you can see, I'll go over to you again briefly. Um, it's blowing. I hope the camera can follow me. Yes, uh, in that direction, that's where the thermometer is. So, from that perspective, it should now also be correct that it's not directly influencing the thermometer, but really the room temperature is rising. And you surely want to know how loud it is. That's why we'll do a little sound measurement now. I have it here. A sound meter is of course not representative. So. And I'll go about, yes, um, I'll turn you towards the unit so you can see it and just show you now. So, at about 1 meter distance, how loud it is. I can't believe that at all. And that's why we'll use this device here. It's more accurate from my perspective. So, at 1 meter distance. So. Yes, approximately. I would say around 55 dB. Why is it so different on my smartphone? I don't know. I bought a new smartphone. The Xiaomi, I think 11T Pro. Before, I did it with my Google Pixel 8 Pro, and the values were really plausible. But here with the smartphone, 40 dB is of course not possible, that's nonsense. But 55 dB in turbo mode is definitely realistic. So, we'll remember 55 dB at 1 meter distance. When we turn on the large unit later, and yes, while I was getting that, it's already going down to 27° in about 2 minutes. I'm curious how much longer it will take to reach 23°. So, an hour and 10 minutes have passed, approximately. We have 22.9°, so it was about an hour and 8 minutes when we were at 23°. Let's look in here. What I noticed is that the power consumption has decreased a bit, and it has turned off the turbo mode, for whatever reason. But an hour and 10 minutes is really very fast. But in the next step, we want to maintain the temperature. The question is, of course, which one, right? The display here shows 22°. So, the XCS here shows 22.8°. So, there's not much difference anymore. I would now go to 22° here and try to maintain it. Now it's already noticing that the compressor is slowing down. I'll show you a bit closer. So, we can do another small noise test here, how it looks now, right? So, let's turn on our measuring device again. 1 meter distance. We are still almost at 53 dB. I would now do the following in the app. I would now try to reduce the fan speed or go to auto. We can do that too. You see, it's getting quieter. I would just go to auto. Let's see again, what do we have now? 50. If we go to 1%, it goes down to the promised 40. So, 39 is in the technical data. We saw 42 here. The question is, can it maintain the temperature like that, and would it run like that at 22°? The thermometer still shows our value. We have the option to record the whole thing here. This means we will see it tomorrow morning when I wake up, yes, how the trend was. Maybe I'll correct it later, but let's see. So, the noise level, well, 42 dB is not insignificant, right? Let's see if I can sleep with that. If not, I'll go to another room, um, downstairs in the back, for example, but it was important for me to do this comparison now. We'll look at the power consumption tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, to be precise, because tomorrow I'm doing the next test with the large Daikin Perfera split system, because I want to compare it in terms of noise level and how well it holds the temperature, and tomorrow morning I'll also look at the power consumption, what we used for a day. It's not a whole day, right? Because I could of course let it run longer tomorrow, but I want to do the next test later tomorrow. That's why I would switch off the Midea portable split tomorrow from around 10-11 AM, or around noon, and give the room five hours to warm up, for the next test. And here you hear this humming again, or maybe you don't hear it, but I can hear it well. Some people wrote in the comments that you should put some kind of damper underneath, like under washing machines. Yes, you could do that. I don't know if it helps. As I said, I already had dampers underneath. A damping mat here. A mat that I use where I put my Concept 2 rowing machine on. But it didn't really work. We have 20 degrees. I thought I'd check in here again to see how it looks. We still have 1% fan speed. We can also see that in the app, right? You see here? Fan speed low, and 22° set. The XCS thermometer now shows 23°. So, it can't cool down to the desired 22° according to this thermometer. But we'll check what the XCS thermometer shows in a moment, as I'm orienting myself by that. And we have a power consumption of 350 watts now. So, this seems to be the lowest power consumption when the unit is cooling at 1% fan speed as it is doing now. As you hear, it's relatively quiet, right? But it's still a bit too loud for me. That's why I programmed it to turn on at night, so that I'm already asleep. Then I just don't notice it. Let's see again how loud it is in this 1% mode. I have my measuring microphone here, almost set up. This captures fast changes. 42 dB is of course quite loud compared to the Daikin Perfera, which is supposed to achieve only 19 dB. The question is, how well does it cool at 19 dB, if it manages it at all? What's important now is to see how the temperature is here, because it feels pleasant. I can sleep here very well. Outside, we still have 32°, so it's still quite hot. And in the garden, let's see how it looks there. We also currently have, let's go to location, maybe it's a bit easier to find. In the garden, a temperature of, yes, 29.6°, and in the bedroom, if we go in there, 22.7°, the temperature is even going down. Yes, you have to consider, of course, that the outside temperatures are still relatively low at the moment. Below 20° at night, even though we still have a lot now. Yes, with almost 30°, it still manages to hold it here, as you can see, right? You can see this trend where it goes down sharply. That was that one hour and 10 minutes, and it had a brief spike upwards, but you see here, it still managed to get back in control and managed to maintain this level with 1% fan speed. I think that's pretty cool. But as I said, when it gets really hot, even at night, it won't manage that. Yes, then you'll have to set it to auto, and then it will be correspondingly louder at night. Yes, and now let it run all night, and I'll only report back tomorrow after I wake up, and I'll tell you what the power consumption looks like during that time, and then we'll start with the Daikin Perfera test.

So, good morning, people. It's currently [time]. I think that should be enough for my test. Let's see how the Midea portable split maintained the temperature. First, let's look at the outside temperature and how it trended. We had a rather cool night. I noticed that when I was outside earlier. It was, yes, quite cold, one might almost say. And if we look now, um, how it looks in the garden, we have 21° in the garden shed, but much more interesting is the garden. We have 21° here now, which means the temperature tonight, and if we look at it, it has gone down quite a bit. We had a peak of 32° yesterday. Um, and then it gradually went down here. At around 7:30 PM, it was only 30°, but it held up well against it. So, it ran all night at 1% fan speed. I really let it run like that. I didn't sleep here because it was too loud. As I said, normally I program it to turn on again at night, and cool down massively before going to sleep, and, yes, that's how it is. The sun is coming out here now, which is why it's getting a bit warmer. What's interesting now is how it looks in the bedroom. If we go to our hygrometer here, you see, right? We had this strong cooling phase in one hour and 10 minutes, and that held up. It even went down further, because at 1% fan speed, with the cold outside temperatures and the open window, where cold air also flows in, yes, it was simply too much. You could probably have turned it off at night. There was still a short spike in there, but that was because I myself turned off the unit to shoot another part of my video. So, one can conclude, um, regarding the cooling performance, it's really top for the 3.5 kW. It can also work through the night if it's a bit warmer outside at night with 1% fan speed, I think. During a severe heatwave, where it's maybe 25-30° at night, I don't think it will work with 1% fan speed. Then you'll have to live with a bit more noise. Then let's look at the power consumption. So, you see here, right? 2.96 kWh yesterday. But I only turned it on at 4:41 PM. That's how I'll do it today too. That's why it's already off again, so that the room has time to warm up in the same way as yesterday, so that we have the same conditions for the Daikin Perfera. Today, or last night, it only consumed 0.64 kWh of electricity, because there wasn't much to cool. Um, I think we would probably have, if we had let it run longer today, until the same time as yesterday, for over 24 hours, we would probably have reached about 5 kWh. Here in the hot attic. You also see some other values where it was in my study. It used 2 and 3 kWh there. So, here on July 1st, it was in the study. The door was closed. The study is probably about 14 m². It uses significantly less electricity, and it was also hot. Let's go back to June, right? I think I already showed that in the last video about long-term experiences. There we have a drastically high power consumption. We have a really drastically high power consumption, partly 13, 12 kWh. That was when I was at the trade fair, I had my study, yes, I had the door open with a fan so that the cold air would blow a bit through the staircase into the living room. That means it always ran at full power. You can see that, right? It adds up to 13 kWh, or sometimes six, depending on how hot it is. Um, yes, that's what you can expect. So, I would say in the hot attic, yes, you can also reach ten or more if it's really hot. Um, but now, with normal heat, where you already need air conditioning, rather around five, I think. In the study, maybe around three. Yes, that's what I have to say about power consumption. And, um, as I said, I will now let this room heat up again, and today, in the afternoon and late afternoon, at the same time, hopefully also at the same 30°, when we then test the Daikin Perfera.

So, now it's day 2. Today it's the Daikin Perfera again. I'll show you 30° in a moment, and it's just as warm as yesterday, with similar outside temperatures. Let's just look into the app here from XCS. Here you see 30°, just like yesterday when we started today. It's also been a similar trend. If we look at how it looks outside, we have 34° in the garden shed. That's really hot. And, yes, in the garden itself, as you can see here, we have 32.8°. Let's compare. That's like yesterday, right? We had 32.7°. Now, we're even a bit hotter. 34°, but it's already gotten a bit cooler again. So, I would say we have the same conditions for sure. And, um, now we need to start the app for our air conditioner, for the Daikin Perfera. By the way, the unit is housed up there. I'll show you. It's up there, because the advantage is that there's no piping inside. The piping is outside. We can also zoom in a bit. So, this is my new camera that I'm recording with. You can see the unit there. I think you can see it quite well here, right? The skylight, it's bright outside. It's warm. I'm wearing a t-shirt. The devices are charging. Yes, bedroom. Um, as far as I know, the Daikin Oncor doesn't have a sensor in the remote control. So, it has a sensor, but it's not used. So, the sensor is up there, but we're orienting ourselves by the thermometer anyway. It's still here, as you can see. I'll show you. There's the thermometer. You see? It's completely out of the airflow. And I would say we'll start the unit in the bedroom now and go to cooling. Um, we'll turn on the swing, though, everywhere completely. We did that yesterday too. We also had swing on, and we go to turbo. Powerful. We want it to be cold quickly. So, it's now doing a kind of in and out movement of the louvers, and we'll also listen to how loud it is. That's also interesting, of course. Yes, I would say let's go to our unit. Let's turn on the small measuring device. 52 dB, that's exactly what we had with the Midea portable split yesterday, I think. It sounds just as loud, but this strange humming from the compressor, you don't hear that. It's more of a rushing sound at 52 dB, but not low frequency. Yes, the outdoor unit will of course make noise accordingly, but it's relatively quiet. Yes, and now, um, yes, you can already feel the cold airflow. I need to feel how cold the airflow is. Come with me. So, I'm already glad I have it, I must say. But whether it will prove itself, we'll see. Yes, okay. So, we already have a cold airflow here. The question is, how long it takes, because yesterday it took an hour and 10 minutes to cool down to, I think, 23°, right? So, and what time is it now? Um, it's 5:10 PM, I think I turned it on. We are also lowering the sun protection of my Velux roller blind here. So, it will get dark here soon. We want the same conditions. I'll leave the window closed now, and I won't close the roller blind. We didn't do that yesterday either. Everything should be relatively identical. Yes, and the portable split is unfortunately already for sale. So, I'm going to give it away now. With a heavy heart. I was quite fond of it, but I don't think it will be of much use to me anymore. So, this will be the last video, very likely, regarding the portable split, but there will certainly be future videos about this air conditioner. Integrating Home Assistant. You have to use a lot of tricks for that. It's not as easy as with the Midea portable split. So, okay, we're already at 29.8°. It's starting. I would say, let's also see what happens after an hour, or maybe even sooner. And especially, oh, I forgot that. We still need to change something in the app. We want rapid cooling. We want to go down further to Where can I set the temperature here, people? Okay, so you can't set any temperature in powerful mode, you just blast it. But I've now set it to 18°, so you can't set it to 16° like the Midea, only to 18°. Okay, now I've set it to 18° and set it back to powerful. So, that should all be fine now. Cooling, powerful, swing. Okay, one thing I forgot. We also want to know what the power consumption looks like. Um, whether we can see that now, the current consumption, if we go in here, there's also the option at the bottom to see the power consumption. Bedroom day. Okay. Yes, apparently we don't have an indication in watts, so how much electricity it's using right now. Too bad, I would have wished for that, but I can't read the power consumption like with the portable split. It's not possible. Probably you could do it in Home Assistant, but well, then we'll have to look at the consumption we have tomorrow, right, and compare, or later. For now, it's just 0.1 kWh for cooling, but we can of course look at my balcony power plant, in my Siel app, which shows what's being used in the house right now. We have a load of 1 kW here. Okay, so if we now, well, let's subtract the base load of 300 watts, I would say that we have approximately 700 watts. So, I think it uses a bit less electricity. We had 700 watts with the Midea, I would estimate it roughly. Um, we'll see the total power consumption. And, um, my balcony power plant, yes, can handle it right now, right? The battery is almost full. We've already had a yield of 7.9 kWh today, and, yes, as I said, with that I can currently operate my air conditioner without any problems. Okay, I thought we'd do another test, how loud the outdoor unit is. Now, about a meter away, if I get this close. You can definitely hear it. And it's only one air conditioner running, right? Okay, let's see if you can recognize it. I'll get a bit closer. I'll try to get to about 48 dB, approximately 48 dB here at full power. So, it's now 5:24 PM, no, 6:24 PM. We started at 5:10 PM, so exactly one hour and 10 minutes, one hour and 14 minutes, 2 minutes longer. The meter shows 22.9°. So, actually, the Daikin Perfera with 3.5 kW took just as long to cool down as the Midea portable split. But there's one point we need to consider, and let's look at it in the app. First of all, yes, we see here, right? The cooling curve looks pretty identical to the portable split. Same slope, same result. We are now at 23° or already at, yes, 22.9°, and it actually took just as long. But if we go to the Oncor app, we first see that the thermometer of the Daikin Perfera is quite far apart. Compared to the portable split, I already see the first disadvantage, um, of the Daikin Perfera, that I couldn't find out, if you know it, if you know the unit, how to manage to couple the sensor of the remote control to the indoor unit so that it takes the location of the remote control to measure the temperature, because we don't actually have 21°, as displayed here, but we have 23°, right? Um, that's not right, and um, power consumption probably doesn't make sense yet, if we go into the bedroom now, let's look at the day. We used a good 0.6 kWh today, right? 0.6 kWh, we'll see tomorrow, right, what the power consumption looks like. Now I want to maintain the temperature, and it's still a bit too loud for me. We can measure how loud it is in this mode now. So, without this fast, let's say, um, this fast power mode. So, let's take the tripod over here and turn on our dB sound meter again. So, at this distance here, what do we have? Approximately 47. So, a bit quieter, right? Um, but we'll go to fan speed, indoor unit, noise level. This is the 19 dB mode. Oh, you can already hear it. It's incredibly quiet now, people. That's actually the advantage of such a unit. But if it can maintain the temperature, it can maintain it. Now listen to this. So, if you can hear anything from the unit at all, I'll briefly move in so you can see. A helicopter is flying by right now, and it's significantly louder. Attention. So, I feel the cold air on my legs. It's really very cold. We have a wine cellar. I think the outside noises in the room and from outside coming through this window are simply so loud that they completely drown out the 19 dB. We can turn it off. Now it's off. We have 27 dB. So, 27 dB is less than what we had before. This means it wasn't drowned out by ambient noise. It actually has 32 dB. The Midea had 42 dB. You can actually hear it significantly less. I can absolutely sleep with it tonight. But I would have actually wanted the 19 dB. Although the 19 dB won't work, because the background noise already has 27 dB. That's why, but now it's set to 21° again, because 21° corresponds to 23° due to the offset. Let's look again. Um, we have indoor unit noise level set. Cooling, swing, powerful is off. And now let's try it again. So, we are at around 30 dB, 31 dB, still 4 dB above the ambient noise or ambient background noise of 27 dB, but it's really incredibly quiet. So, it's a huge difference compared to the portable split, but the question is now, can it, yes, if it's so incredibly quiet, still maintain the 23° here until tomorrow?

Early? Um, it's really quiet, but I would have thought 19 dB would mean it would produce 27 dB here, uh. So it wouldn't drown out the background noise, right? But okay, that's just how it is now. I also wouldn't know how to get it even quieter, but this is definitely enough for me. Absolutely great. Yes. Okay, so I would say we'll see each other again tomorrow, and I'm curious if the 23° will be maintained here with this absolute quietest setting. It's just after 8 o'clock now, 2:48 PM, similarly late yesterday. My thermometer now shows 21° here, and before we get into power consumption and such things, we naturally want to see how the temperature trend was yesterday and last night in comparison. To do this, we'll start the XS app again. There we can nicely see what the temperature trend looked like over a day. So, that also looks a bit more pushed together. Looks pretty identical, right, folks? I would say. So, we had the same starting temperature. It was actually just as hot a day yesterday as the day before. That means we had very similar conditions. The night was also a bit colder, and you can see that quite well. Um, also what an open window probably makes, namely down here you see it went down quite low yesterday. Because as I said, the window was open, now it was closed, and the Perfeir probably holds the temperature better, but also lower. We talked about a temperature difference of 2° yesterday. It's not quite as bad as that, though. We'll look at that in a moment because currently, or we can look at it now, the temperature here is 21.1°, and in the Dikin Oncta app, let's see what it says there. So, we have 21° now, which means we only have a difference of 0.1°. So, it seems to be settling down somehow. Um, that's, I think, quite good for the test, right, that we have the same temperatures here, but um cooling is listed here at around 22°, but we have 21°. That means it cooled down stronger somehow, maybe also because it was cool at night, but I think it was more because the Dikin cooled down a bit stronger. We'll go through the temperature trend again before we look at the power consumption. That's a very interesting fact here, I would claim. And first, I'll go into the trend here again, I would first say, um we already established that yesterday, cooling down with the Dikin Perfeir wasn't really faster. Um, it was even a few minutes slower somehow. Probably because the turbo mode, the power mode, wasn't on permanently. So, I had to turn it on again afterwards, because as I said, it runs for 20 minutes, then it switches off. So, I think it ran without it for a few minutes, maybe even 10 minutes. I would claim that it still has similarly good performance. That can be noted. So, a permanently installed split air conditioning unit with 3.5 kW cools down just as quickly as the Porter Split with 3.5 kW. That's a fact from my perspective. Now, the question would be, is the power consumption lower with the Dikin, because it's more efficient, and it actually ran at around 700 watts at times in power mode, so estimated compared to 1065 watts. Yes, we'll just look at that here now. Under insights, you can go into the bedroom. Power consumption day. So. Yes. And then we'll see what it consumed, or what both consumed. We want uh no, wait, that's the bedroom. Actually, everything combined. Today and yesterday we consumed 3.4 kWh. 3.4 kWh, let's remember that. And what do we have with the Porter Split? There we have 3 kWh on the day before plus 7. Yes, I would say 3.7 compared to 3.4. That's not a big difference. So, the Dikin Perfeir actually consumed a little less electricity because it's also a bit more efficient. If we compare the SEER, which is the laboratory rating for cooling capacity, we have around 8.6 for the Perfeir. It will probably be a bit worse, because if you have a single split system, it's much more efficient than a multi-split, right? I have four units here in four rooms. I would say we're more like eight or a bit below that, and the Media Porter Split has a SEER of 6.1. That means it's 25% uh less efficient. And if we now look at the power consumption again, 3.7 versus 3.4, yes, um that's less than a 25% difference. So, from that perspective, um yes, you can actually say that um it's not that big a difference. Yes, how it looks in really extreme heat, which we sometimes have here too. Yes, um it can be different, that maybe it will crystallize a bit more in terms of efficiency, but overall I have to say, power consumption and cooling performance are actually relatively the same for both. I didn't expect that at all. The Dikin Perfeir has just switched on again. I want to do a quick loudness test for you, but a bit differently. These are the 32 dB you see here. We already had that yesterday on the quietest setting. In bed, I have just 29 dB. And if I now turn off the unit, I'm actually at 27 dB. That means, um the loudness is of course the clear advantage here. with which the Dikin Perfeir scores. That means it's not louder than my background noise here in the bedroom, and it's not noticeable, and as I said, it has maintained the temperature here. It has really managed not to let the temperature rise on the quietest setting. And even in great heat, I can imagine it won't have a problem with that. Maybe it will get a bit louder, but of course, it's no comparison to the Porter Split, right? So, let's summarize. Power consumption is slightly higher with the Porter Split. Uh, cooling performance, in my opinion, is almost identical. Loudness, of course, is significantly louder with the Porter Split, at least twice as loud. And of course, you have this whole, yes, problem with the windows. We could argue, okay, uh such a, yes, split system, multi-split in this case with four units. From the outside, as you can see, it doesn't look great either. You have all the cable ducts, but they have the advantage that you don't have cable ducts inside the house, because the indoor units are all connected directly to the wall penetrations, to the core drillings, and of course, you have a large, 68 kg heavy, but very quiet outdoor unit. And if I imagine, I would now have 4 Porter Splits, they would already cost me almost €6,000 even at the current temperatures, right, if I can get any at all, or even more. And uh yes, but then I would have four outdoor units at four windows. Now I only have one outdoor unit and the cable ducts. That doesn't look great either, and above all, I would then have four open windows in my house, right, where I would have to think about solutions and how to seal them, and all that, uh can be continued in winter. Uh, that's why I'll be selling the Porter Split too. Logically, in winter, you can't heat with it very efficiently either. With the Dikin Perfeir, I'll also have to think again about how to seal the window to keep the heat in. Especially on the lower floors, on the ground floor, you also have to think about how to protect yourself from a burglar entering the apartment, do I always have to bring the outdoor unit inside and so on. Here I can simply leave my house when I feel like it. I don't have to pay attention to whether the outdoor unit is still outside. Yes, uh as I said, I don't want to badmouth the Porter Split. If you're not allowed to and can't install it like that, if you're currently renting or something, it's still the best solution in my opinion. Um, but I also have friends who rent, even in a house, who got a multi-split system from the landlord. They made some kind of deal. The landlord paid for it. The rent was slightly increased. You can think about that. Yes, talk to your landlord about what he might think about installing a split system. And even the Media Porter Split isn't that simple, because if you have a homeowners' association, they can certainly prohibit an outdoor unit from hanging visibly somewhere on a house. So, it's not as simple as they claim that every tenant can just set up such a system. You have to consider and clarify a few things beforehand.
