What's your engineer conduct annual inspection? I don't know. I've seen that. And it actually what it's what it's going to consist of is it's primarily your your uh basic infrastructure, your storm water, and he's going to take a look at your operating budget, make sure it's budgeted properly. He's going to observe the community during rain events and things of that nature, looking at the lake banks. Do we have any out of compliance issues or things that need to be addressed? And just write a simple paragraph, if you will, to file indicating that it has reviewed the infrastructure and it's properly budgeted for, it's operating as designed and intended for the agent, which it is. It's real simple. It's not not like he's going to spend weeks out here um going through pipes and things of that nature. That's fine. That's fine. I just I haven't seen one for this year yet. Yeah. Well, we can thank our friends over in Miami Date for taking care of their infrastructure. Great. Okay. Motion to authorize. I make a motion to authorize. All in favor? Thank you all.
Budget financial statements. Are there any questions? You have anything on any of these pages, please jump in here. Yeah, I don't I don't have anything, but I do have I guess just one thing to bring up while you guys are flicking through. Okay. Uh, it's been 1 year since Kyle has been promoted to our full-time pro from uh the interim position and on August 13th I sent out an email which I think Chuck has distributed to everyone. Um, it it essentially shows that SH or sorry Kyle is you know 8% under the median salary grants for professionals in the area. And when I look at the things that he's accomplished in the uh in the last year, excuse me if I'm redundant, we've increased revenues 14%. We've increased profitability 700. Um, we foster a positive work environment, you know, despite all the change including things like pricing increases. Um, that remodel. Yeah, we we passed the audit. Um, we had, you know, some driving range upgrades. We implemented uh water dispensers and reintroduced the cups. These implemented systems and processes, you know, inventory management like Eileen mentioned, cash flow and financial reviews, dynamic pricing with uh 12. He's been in place with plenty contracts and agreements for all uh events that come through and he's demonstrated some forward thinking, you know, with the event planning. And I think there's some exciting things coming up, you know, with the golf course redesign and changing our operating system. Um, I think um I I guess I would move to increase Kyle Kyle's base pay based upon the achievements he's made by 8% plus the 3%, you know, budget increase taking him from 93 to 103 um taking effect September 1st. I um I have no problems with that. I would make a motion to do that. Um, second motion. We made the motion. Okay, I second it. Sorry about that. Um, um, anyone have any comments with regard to that? Did we I mean, we haven't seen the budget yet, but I mean, to the budget. I can certainly really sound eager. Yeah, just a little bit. Um, all in favor of that, I I thank you. Okay. I just I just want to say we did something we did something similar for John last year and you know bringing him up market value John really appreciate all that you're doing really appreciate all that you're doing. We just hope you guys you know feel you know loved and wanted the uh Yeah, exactly. Well, thank you. Greatly appreciate it. And I like I said before, Kyle, you have done in a year what it's just been amazing and you and John have worked so well together that it's um it's really a good team and um you both deserve what you have and we give you more. We give you more. Thank you so much. I'm trying to win that lottery. Okay. Thank you for bringing that up, Adam. I appreciate it. Okay. Um, anything with the financials? I know the insurance has gone up and I was just looking at I didn't have a motion to accept the financials. Second. All in favor? Opposed? Okay. All right.
So, the um the minutes from the last meeting, the first change I have is uh under the residence Michelle is L I L I N G A N T and that should be K is K I K A I L. Correct. Oh, I'm sorry. I got that one as well. K A I L A. Thank you. Uh line 65 and 66. A resident asked if I still work for Taylor Molf. First of all, the answer is yes. Second of all, it's one word, not two. Okay. On both those lines, if that really matter. Do we need the resident's name? Uh who was that? Do we need a res? No, we should add the thing I had was changing Michelle's name correctly. We were starting at page five and on page six uh it was out as forward fence and gate. Okay. So it starts off I think at line 162 and it goes on and carries over 158. Yeah. It goes over to page six also. So global search on that. Okay. Be appropriate. I don't have anything. I thought 283 doesn't sound right. Um, and I I for some reason I think they wanted it there to see what was being done. Okay. And um then I think it was removed there after. Yeah. My understanding is removed. Okay. So they had to come out and inspect it to see where it was. Yes. So that was right. It just didn't read right. It didn't when I read it, but then I remember. Yeah. Okay. I didn't have anything else. I had on 11. It's more of a clarification on 358. Um, I guess that kind of implies it would be Stony Brook, but it wasn't Stony Brook. It was it was really other community residents. So I don't know if that it wasn't a resident email. It wasn't it wasn't a story resident email that's for sure. Um, actually it's from uh it's from technical it's that village it's at this sterile planning board thing uh engage sterile village. Yeah. Gentlemen, anything else? I make a motion to accept the minutes. Second. All in favor? I opposed. Okay.
Um, okay. Do anything else? No, just two items. Once again, the letter from Lancaster Run. Extra copies are here for anybody who wants them. Uh secondly is just as a follow up to the reference to the communication from Mr. Davies. Uh reference truck, if you can double check, it said that the videos for the meetings from June 1st, 2024 through August 9th, 2024 were not included in materials sent. That would basically only cover June and July of 2024. So if you have those, you know, and I will confirm that in my response along with items two and three in this PR. Okay. Very good. Just want to make sure we have that taken care of also. Nothing further, Madam Chair. Actually, I have something for you. Kayla, that's no no she left, I guess. Well, anyway, you're not I don't have a question for her, but I think one of one of the things she in her comments was basically asking or saying we did not meet our legal obligations when it came to this fence. I'm not sure what you mean by that. I think that's that sounds very broad. Um, again, you can question what's happened and and all that, but I was just wonder did we actually meet our legal obligation as far as getting a contractor the statuto as a construction contract, it did not require competitive solicitations in the floor statute and so there was a process whereby three courts I guess were solicited by Mr. and I think the board authorized that to take place and then one quote came back to the board with a recommendation and the board approved that and authorized signing your contract what is meant by did not meet legal obligations I'm not sure what is meant by that coming in now but I didn't want to turn into my knowledge I'm not aware of any other because she means we didn't prop the board didn't properly check the insurance and properly check the permitting. That's that's a more of a management administrative function in my opinion to provide to the board that necessary background information so the board can make a decision. It wasn't really a question. I think it was your question about legal. I just jotted down legal obligation. Well, I wasn't paying attention who was talking to me. So, Miss on the right or Mrs. um what did you mean by legal obligations? That the board did not meet our legal obligation regards the fence. A whole lot contract. I have been handling all sorts of projects for 22 years. Great. That's fine. What how did we not meet our legal obligations? Okay. So I'm going to be completely honest with you because now this is being reclassified into a capital expenditure and now we're going through the right proper channels in order to reframe this project that was repeated repeatedly on the record stated it was coming from the landscaping portion of repeatedly by multiple members on this board. One of the issues is that the second issue is it is a capital expenditure. They didn't go to the proper chance to be voting and confess that because you said something to them about it. They did. I have them. It's on the video. So that's what I mean by so and the other issue that I have is I'm sorry. The other issue I have is there's also on the record that somebody provided this contractor with the permitting documents. Some I believe it was mentioned it was you that provided them to it was requested that you provide that to them. I don't know who provided him. The legal description was wrong. I don't know who provided him this the survey that's marked with the fence around the perimeter of flat not conservation where it belongs at all. It was completely in the wrong spot. This has a massive issue for all of us. And this is it can be considered permanent fraud. Okay, I just want to be perfectly clear on that. It is a big deal. Well, I want to thank you for bringing that to our attention. We've already discussed that in the future we're going to be much more diligent and and it was our understanding that what we had done was the correct thing. We understand now that we need to rectify what was done and we will, but that costs us all right as a resident. Okay. Okay. Yes. I understand that it was a mistake and I'm sorry it's a mistake. Yes, it was. It was a very expensive mistake. It affects all of us and I cannot go back and change that. What I can do is from this point forward appreciate what has been brought to our attention and are going to be more diligent with everything we're doing. I cannot go back and change it. I want to understand. Okay. So, so what is the reason that I'm just bringing issues a very real issues under there also issues with concrete dumping in the legal actually. No, it's not. We've had a lot of arrows. Okay. So, just Okay. All I'm saying is excuse me. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are being more diligent. We appreciate what you have said and what you have done and we are working to rectify what has gone wrong. We made a mistake. I don't know how else I can say it. We made a mistake and we're going forward so this does not happen again. Yes, it was a costly mistake. I don't know what else I can say or do. Um, but yes, we are going to rectify what happened here. Again, we are volunteers. We're working and doing the best we can to make this work for the community. So, um, and I appreciate the residents coming to us and going through this, but that's that's where I am at this point, Phil. Yeah. I mean, you mentioned cost and mistake and and she has as well. The only cost is the change. Exactly. And we didn't we had already voted on a on a cost and and just to clarify, the document I provided to Mr. Ziggler was the conservation area legal description document which was used with the original peritting. I told them, you know, it's been there for years. Either this will work or we'll end up having to get a survey after two attempts of submitting it. They accepted it. That's their decision, right? They accepted a potential additional issue and it's on the permit itself. You can read it on the description itself and it's I've also discussed this with the village the woman that handles all the zoning. It is quite possible you're going to need an LO on this and if we do then we do and and that again I think what we'll do if the tax relies with the village we'll contact our engineer who handles LDOS's and DOS and whether or not that's even needed because we're replacing a facility and we'll have we'll have that conversation with Mark So we are again a lot of times if the question is how a question is presented to a government official to get an particular answer as opposed to if you present it in a more neutral fashion you may get a different answer. So thank you. We'll contact Mark and have him contact the building official. I assume it was the building official or was it I talked to multiple buildings I'm sorry I've talked to multiple building but the person and the chief building official. Okay. But the person you're talking about, was that intake person or was that the building official? I was talking to the building. Okay. So, the district engineer. We'll ask him to contact the building official and have a conversation. Do you have anything? Chris, anything else? No, I'm good. Adam, anything else? Okay. Thank you. I don't have anything else. So, with that, um, I'd like to make a motion to adjourn the meeting. Second. All in favor?
