[Music] Okay, you guys, it is literally 3:00 a.m. on New Year's right now, and we are starting this glow-up right now. We are not slacking. I feel like the end of 2024, leading up to New Year's, was so chaotic. Like, I have not been taking care of myself, and that is all about to change tonight, or this morning. Here is what I'm thinking this glow-up is going to entail, starting from tonight.

This hair needs to be washed and needs to be cleaned so badly, as you can see. This high-pony situation—there's a lot of gel up in here, and I just need to like massage my scalp. Number two, my skin needs to be deep cleaned. End of 2024, in December, I was in Hawaii, and when I came back, I just like was not eating good, not taking care of my skin. My skin feels so congested, so I need to double down on my skincare routine. And number three, we're going to take an everything shower tonight. I'm about to scrub my skin so hard. Hard. In the morning, I'm going to wake up as a new person. Let's take out this ponytail. Oh my God, I'm scared. I can't tell if I have to cut—oh wait, some hair was lost. So this is what we're working with.

First thing that I'm going to do is I'm going to be doing a pre-wash on my scalp because God knows my scalp needs it right now. I'm using the SheaMoisture and Kinks essential pre-wash. I take roughly this much, and then I'll just kind of like rub it with my hand and then massage it into my scalp. I'm going to add a little bit more, cuz my scalp needs it. Now, for the ends of my hair, I'm going using a leave-in conditioner. I'm using the AMA Hydr8 Brush Intense Moisture leave-in. I need to get the one that's in the tub so I can just scoop it. By the way, if you've never tried AMA products before, they smell so good. Now I'm just going to clip my hair back so we can get into some skincare. So this is going to be pre-shower skincare. After we shower, it's going to be like a more intense skincare routine. I did take off my makeup already with some micellar water, but there's definitely still some residue left, so we're going to go in with a cleansing balm. This is the April Skin Pink Aloe cleanser. This is what it looks like. I just take about this much, add a little bit of water to it, and just start working in circular motions. I promise you guys, just cleaning your skin once after you wear makeup is not effective enough, even if you think that you got all your makeup off, you haven't. Okay, now let's rinse this off.

So now I'm going to be using a cleansing oil. This is the Anua Heart Leaf cleansing oil. I love this stuff. I just do two to three pumps, and I swear you guys, double cleansing has changed my life. I used to always think that it was like so excessive, and I was like, who has time for all of this? But girl, I promise you, your skin is going to feel like baby skin, and then you always want to emulsify your cleansing oil, which means just adding a little bit of water, and then it should turn into this milky white texture. And now we're going to wash this off. Now it's time for the foam cleanser. I know this is a lot of steps, but I promise it's worth it. This is the Bring Green Tea Tree Trouble cleansing foam, and this is like freaking huge. Like, it's going to take me a while to finish this. If you guys haven't noticed, pretty much all of my skincare is Korean because Korean skincare just does it the best. Okay, now my skin is finally clean, and we can jump into what I'm going to be doing for my everything shower.

Okay, so starting off with hair, we obviously have the pre-wash and the leave-in conditioner. In something that I also love—I'm not going to use it today cuz I already have leave-in conditioner in—is Olaplex Number 3. And my current favorite shampoo and conditioner is this Redken duo. This is their Acidic Bonding Concentrate, and you guys, this stuff is so good. Actually leaves my hair so silky and makes it feel so healthy. That is a line that Sabrina Carpenter did a campaign with, so I'm like, automatically, I trust you guys, cuz Sabrina Carpenter's hair is like goals. And then I'm also going to be using this Glossy Glaze from DP Hue. It's going to make your hair look super glossy. I feel like after Madison Beer came out and said that she doesn't do anything special to her hair, she just uses gloss or glaze or whatever, I was like, sign me up. And I love that one. So I almost always go in with a sugar scrub first from Tree Hut. This one is the one I'm going be using today. This is the Sparkling Sapphire line. All of Tree Hut stuff smells so freaking good. From the same line, I'm using their Sparkling Sapphire foaming gel wash. I love this. This is part of their holiday collection, but basically, I'll just put this on a loofah, lather the loofah up, and then just like go to town—like scrub literally from my chin down to my toes. So after all that, then I'll jump into shaving. I pretty much shave everywhere. Like, I also shave my arms. I know a lot of people are against that, but personally, I'm too deep into it to not shave my arms anymore. So I'm not that prone to ingrown hair, so I'll literally just take a bar soap, like this—I have one in the shower ready—and then I'll just like lather it up with my hands, put it all over my skin, and then just go in and shave. The razor that I use is this Gillette razor. These come in a huge pack from Costco, and that's where I get it from. Last but not least, after I shave, especially for my armpits, I use these roller rescue soothing serum. It's basically just like a ball like this, and then I'll like roll it under my armpit. And that's pretty much everything that I do for my everything shower. So I'm going to hop in the shower, do my entire routine, and then come out and we can finish this glow-up.

Okay, I am out of the shower. My scalp is clean. I'm also in my little PJ set. These are from Victoria's Secret. I love them. Moving into 2025, something that I think is so important is setting up good systems for yourself, and ultimately, it's just making your life easier. By the way, I'm using Thermal Blowout Primer from L'Oréal cuz I'm going to blow-dry my hair. For example, if I get into a habit of always doing heatless curls before I go to bed, I'm not going to wake up the next day feeling all regretful. Now I have to sit down and spend 3 hours curling my hair when I could have just taken 15 minutes before I went to bed. Now I'm going to blow-dry my hair using the Shark. I highly recommend getting one of these cuz this is not going to damage your hair like how a regular blow dryer [Music] would.

Okay, I just finished blow-drying my hair, and my hair looks pretty healthy, if I do say so myself. So when it comes to heatless curls, this is just my personal method. I like to do it when my hair is freshly clean and 80 to 90% dry. You want to get one of these little—I don't even know what you really call them—like silk headbands, but you also need one of these roller things, and this is going to be for your curtain bangs. This is obviously not a necessary step, but I like to do it. So I just start wrapping it upwards, and then you're going to want to take your clip and clip it. And then what I do is I loop it through. I'm going to clip this side back and start with this side first. So you're going to want to start with a small section and then over and then under, and you grab another small section, and then you add it to that previous small section, and then you repeat and go over and under. I'll just keep on doing these steps until I reach the very bottom. [Music] Now you can take your scrunchie and then just secure the bottom. And then what I like to do is I kind of just like to push everything up. I'm going to repeat the same steps on this side. You're going to want to take both of the ends like this and then make a knot in the back. I know it's insane, but literally, this is what I do. [Music]

So now we can finally jump into skincare. Starting off with a Tarte Tartelette Milk skin toner. I just kind of put it on my hand and tap it into my face like this. Then, Oren Divin serum. This is a really nice thick serum. And then I'm going to be going in with an ampoule. This is a Celiac Noni ampoule. As you can see, I am almost done. This is the Axis-Y Vegan Collagen eye serum. And then to lock all of this in, I'm going to be going in with the Anua Heartleaf 70 Daily Lotion. This stuff is also so good. Okay, so we did everything that we were supposed to do before we go to bed. I'm going to find a show to watch on my iPad, sit back, relax, and then go to sleep. Wake up, and we can finish this glow-[Music] up. Good night.

Good morning. I just woke up. I look crazy. We're going to get ready for our day right now. I'm just putting some moisturizer. I'm using the Versed Dew Point Moisturizing Gel Cream. I'm also going to put on some sunscreen. This is the L'Oréal Paris Daily Invisible Sunscreen. I love this stuff. This doesn't leave a white cast. And guys, if you are not putting on SPF, then make it a priority this year. We're going to take out these heatless curls, and you're going to see why we do them. Okay, like it saves so much time. Okay, here we go. It's like so satisfying when you can just slide it out like that, and like look at these curls. I would have had to wake up at 6:00 or 7:00 in the morning.

So as I get ready and do my makeup routine that I get so many questions about, I'm going to be talking about why I love makeuping up my brows right now with the Benefit Brow-Wow! Hold-Up Brow Styling Wax. This stuff is so freaking good, you guys. Like, your brows will not move. And it's crazy because I remember how much I idolized America back then. Like, the concept of America to me was so grand and big, and obviously American pop stars during that time were huge, you know, like Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift. So I do feel like the media back then was predominantly white, and I didn't really see Asians being portrayed in mainstream media, I guess. And I do feel like that really resulted in me not liking the way that I look. And I'm just filling in some sparse ends with this random eyeshadow that I have since I was young. And for as long as I can remember, I always wanted double eyelid surgery. Like, I hated my eyes. I was always wearing eyelid tape, eyelid glue. Honestly, it was so much deeper than just that. Like, I really did not appreciate my culture. I didn't appreciate being Asian. Obviously, that's not the case now. I'm Chinese. I love being Chinese, but back then I did not feel that way. I feel like once I started learning how to do my own makeup that's suitable for my face, a routine down, and a makeup look down that I really loved, it really made me look at myself differently. Like, oh, I love my features. I'm using the Haus Labs Foundation now, and honestly, at the end of the day, doing your makeup is a form of self-care and self-love. Just the act of sitting down for, you know, either 15 minutes or an hour, and you're taking that time for yourself. It doesn't matter if you like light makeup or heavy makeup. At the end of the day, makeup is just a form of self-expression. Using the Huda Beauty Faux Filter Concealer. Whether that means not even doing your makeup, like just skincare, still showing yourself that you're putting your best foot forward and that you're showing out for yourself, if that makes sense. I'm using the Fenty Beauty Match Stix as a cream bronzer. So yeah, I think for 2025, my challenge for you guys is to figure out what makeup you feel best in. I have been wearing makeup literally since high school. Like, I have always been a makeup girl. I just think that I didn't really figure out what my signature makeup is or makeup that actually flatters my face until last year, which is crazy. For cream blush, I'm using the Baby Got Blush from Essence. I love mixing high-end makeup and drugstore makeup, which, if you guys don't know, on my TikTok, my Instagram, I share a lot of quick tutorials of my favorite drugstore products or my favorite high-end products. I just really love showing versatility, like what you can achieve with high-end makeup, you can achieve with drugstore makeup. This is a Maybelline Fit Me powder—literally my favorite powder ever. Like, the amount of compliments I get when I wear this powder is crazy. Like, look at my skin. Going in with the Essence Sun Club Matte Bronzing Powder. I'm using the Juvia's Place blush duo, and this is a volume four. Look how pretty. Going in with a light hand, but I still always overdo it. Wonderskin Longwear eyeliner. Setting my face with the One/Size by Patrick Starr On 'Til Dawn. This stuff is so good. Going in with NYX Nutmeg—this is my favorite lip liner ever. By the way, the link to all this makeup will be down below. Topping it off with the Essence Lip Oil, and this is in the shade Pink Champagne. This is so gorgeous. Okay, now I'm going to take this out. She's giving volume. Giving it a little brush. Okay, guys, and this is the finished look.

I took a little drive to Burbank to go to the Ulta, and this location—it's just such better vibes here—but I'm going to be doing a little re-up to start 2025. This means I'll be restocking—I'm so fearful—basically, I'll just be restocking on a bunch of products that I ran out, and then I also have a lot of different makeup products that I want to try. But there's no better way to start the new year with a fresh set of products, if you know what I mean. I'm also actually making a separate video where I bring you guys along with the shopping process, kind of going more into depth about the items and then doing a haul, so keep your eye out for that. But yeah, let's go [Music] shop.

Okay, guys, it is the next day, and I wanted to end this little video by doing a little vision board for 2025. I feel like I've always heard about vision boards, and I've like kind of like half-assed them in the past, but 2024 was a year where I truly locked in and really thought about what the hell my goals were, and I just wanted to preface: if you don't have time to do this now, you can do it later, and that's okay. I started my 2024 vision board honestly, like maybe in April, and everything on my vision board came true, if not even more. For example, I think I wanted to end the year with 20,000 Instagram followers, and I thought I was being so generous even saying that, like I was like, if I maybe get 10,000, I would be so happy. But no, I ended the year with 40,000. Like, that is so insane. That's why I think it's so important to make vision boards, especially setting it as your lock screen. I like making mine digital, but you can also make a physical one and, you know, put on your wall or something like that. But I think it's so important, just seeing it every single day, just so you have like a physical reminder of, oh, these are what my goals are, and every day is a day where you can take one actionable step to get closer to your goal. So I like making mine on camera. I think Canva is such an easy platform, and it's free. You can do it on your phone, your iPad, your laptop, whatever you want. I like picking the lock screen version so that I can make it into my home screen or my lock screen. I think when you're first setting goals, it can seem really daunting, like how on Earth am I going to get there? But if there's anything I learned in 2024, is to dream big, set your goals high, like you never know what might happen. And the beautiful thing is that instead of thinking about your goal as this huge thing that just seems so unattainable, like every single day is a day where you can move one step closer, and you could be doing something really small, but still, that's doing something, that's making your goal one step closer to reality. For my content creators, for example, if your goal is, say, reach 50,000 followers, that might sound insane if you're starting out with, you know, a thousand or even like 500, but it is possible, cuz every single day if you commit to uploading one video—it might just be one video—but every single video gets you closer to that goal of having 50,000 subscribers. I just made my vision board, and I set it as my lock screen, and I would love to see or hear what you guys added on your vision board. Feel free to DM me on Instagram or comment down below what your goals are. But that concludes my 2025 glow-up series. I love all of you guys so much. You're beautiful, you're loved, dream big, work hard, you can achieve anything you want in this lifetime. I love you. Oh [Music]
