In this training, you'll witness a full discovery with one of my students. I'm going to be the closer. They will play the prospect. You'll experience the sales method that allowed me to earn over $100,000 per month in commissions, so you can identify what's missing in your sales calls that are keeping you from earning more money in sales. Let's crack in.
So, in your opinion, Deario, what is the biggest reason that you want your own successful Amazon store right now?
Yeah. Um, I'm looking to get out of the 9 to 5 lifestyle. Um, been working for a decent amount of time, probably about like 10 years or so, and just want more control over my time, more control over, I guess, the amount of money that I'm making that's coming in monthly. That that's really the biggest thing.
Okay. So, you want to get out of the 9-to-5 lifestyle and have more control over your time and over your money. And you've been running that same lifestyle with lack of control over the time and the money that you're making monthly for the last 10 years. Is that accurate?
Correct.
Okay. So if you've been doing that for the last 10 years, has something shifted right now?
Yeah. Um, I'm in a place now where I'm looking to start a family. So, um, we got one kid on the way so far. Should be due in like 5 months or so. But um, yeah, just looking to take a different course, see if I can do more since my wife isn't going to be working. So, um, yeah.
Okay. Was there any other shifts that made this a now thing, or was it the fact that you're you've now got a child on the way? You got five more months until that child is born, and you know that when that child's born, obviously you've got all the expenses of the child, but you've also got to take care of your wife who's not going to be working. Is that the single thing that has shifted this into first into the next gear, or is there anything else?
Um, I guess it's just the fact that she's not going to be working next month. Um, that's when it starts. So, with that being stated, I'm going to have to take on a lot more responsibilities financially. And I don't know, I just I just feel uncertain that I'll be able to do it at a level that I need to do what? Actually provide and cover, you know, her half of the bills and rent.
Okay. So, in a month, the bills that are currently split between you and your wife, you're going to be fully responsible for all of those bills. And right now, if nothing changes, that is something that you can't fulfill. Is that accurate?
I feel like I can do it right now, but it's it's it's going to be so uncomfortable. And I know if I don't act like soon, I'll just allow that habit to continue to go on and just tell myself that I would do something. So yeah, when you say that that habit would go on and you would keep telling yourself you would do something.
Mhm.
I I am curious based on the fact this has been 10 years and only now you've had this kind of fire under your ass, which is a a baby in the oven so to speak.
Mhm.
Has that been a habit of yours in the past, putting things off and telling yourself I'll do it later? I'll do it later.
sometimes. Um, it's not all the time. It just depends on, I guess, what it actually is, what it involves. Specifically for changing your lifestyle where you would have more control, you would have more time, you would have more money. Specifically, that area of life. Is this a is this a habit that you have continued to allow yourself to follow in that area of your life? Putting it off and just saying I'll do it later.
I say it's been an on and off thing. There are things that I have at least tried to get myself out of this situation and have more money coming in. But um, yeah, it's it's kind of a 50/50.
Okay. So you have tried some things. When was the last time you tried something?
Tried something about 3 months ago.
Okay. So pretty recent. And what was that?
That was actually um trading. So I tried to get into trading, do that, make some money.
Okay. Yeah. And how did that go?
Uh, went okay. Um, made, you know, like $1,000 or so, but after that didn't really see any returns.
um, $1,000 total over the three months or correct?
Okay, that was three months ago. How long were you trading for?
For about two months.
Okay, so you're trading for two months, made $1,000. And why did you stop that?
Yeah, it was um I had to put a lot of time into it and it was a lot of specific times. So the times that I would have to do trading stuff like that, I would be at work and it just got to a point where work would get busy. I would lose track of it and then opportunities gone. Try to do it again, but then it's like I don't know that motivation isn't there since kind of went in a bad direction. So
So it sounds like it was just the wrong vehicle for you.
Yeah. Yeah.
Okay. Time before that. What did you try before that?
Before that, um, actually tried affiliate marketing. Um, doing a bunch of stuff on YouTube, looking at videos and stuff. Never really started just because and I guess I just didn't have a clear direction on how to do it. So, I just put it on the back burner, kept working. Um, and yeah, went from there.
And how how what was the time period of you doing that prior to doing the trading? What was the gap of time?
That was about six months.
Okay. Yeah. How many more things would you say you've tried over the last say three years? How many things would you say you've tried total? You've done trading or tried trading, tried affiliate marketing in three years. How many things would you say you've tried?
I would say that's it. Um, the rest of the time has been correct as far as like trying to figure out a different way to make money. Um, everything else has just been working, getting promotions, stuff like that. And yeah.
Okay. What about in the last 10 years since you've wanted a lifestyle change? Are those the only two things you've tried?
Those are the only things besides getting like another job, going to another place, going back and realizing that I'm in the same place at a different job. So yeah, that's been my only action I take.
Okay. So you wanted a different lifestyle for 10 years, but for nine of those years, you didn't try anything as far as a business that would actually give you a different lifestyle or a a way to run your own make money opportunity.
Correct.
What shifted a year ago then? Was was that you you deciding to get your wife pregnant or is there something else that shifted a year ago?
Yeah, I I guess you could say it was Yeah, we decided to that we wanted to start a family.
Okay. So, yeah. Was there anything else that shifted a year ago?
I guess just getting tired of the fact of having to work for someone. Even if I am getting promotions, it's like I'm losing a lot more of my time. So, I probably got, you know, two to three promotions within the last 10 years or so. And every promotion, I thought it was going to be different. I thought I would have more freedom, more money or something like that. It started off pretty well and then ended up right back in the same place just with more money. Not that much money though, but yeah.
Okay. And what shifted after the second or the third promotion that you realized, I guess your hope that promotions or or in your normal job was going to fix this lifestyle that you wanted to accomplish. What what shifted about that?
Yeah, I think it was doing it three times and ending up right back in the same spot and just hoping for a better but not really going anywhere. And I mean, increasing money is not that much based on the promotions I got. So, yeah, just repeatedly doing that over and over and expecting a different result was kind of my biggest thing.
Okay. All right. Let's get into the money, which is obviously what you need this vehicle to accomplish. How much did you make last month?
Last month brought in about 5,000.
Okay. And the month before?
5,000.
Okay. Are you on a set salary every month or does it change at all month to month?
It's It's set.
Okay. So, you make 5K a month. And what did your wife bring in last month?
So, she brought in about 3,000.
Okay. And so, total between the two of you, you've got $8,000 on a monthly basis. Obviously, right now, unless I misunderstood, it's just you and your wife. You don't have any other kids.
Correct.
Correct. First child is on the way in 5 months.
Correct.
Okay. How much do you think your financial necessities are going to change in five months? Have you got a ballpark figure of what that's going to be?
Um, be comfortable, by the way, and to have the life that you want for your wife and your kid. No, I guess I haven't really thought about that um specifically. The only thing I have thought about is that 3K going from 3K to zero and just my 5K income being there.
Okay. When you when you hear yourself say that you've got a child on the way in 5 months and you haven't thought about how much money you're going to need, does anything come up for you?
um uncertainty.
Does anything come up for you in regards to the approach that you're taking towards being a father to be 5 months from now?
You know, maybe being a little lazy, right? Adjusting to all the new stuff that's happening. You know, a baby coming in. This is all new to me. So, um, I guess not having to really worry about anyone but myself until now. Like my wife was taken care of. She had her own money. I had my own thing. I wasn't really worrying about her or anything, you know? But now having to put on this responsibility that a baby's coming into the world and I'm going to have to step up, I guess that's a little huge change for me for sure.
Okay. You mentioned two interesting phrases, which is put on that responsibility and you also said have to just like man to man. How do you feel about having to put on that responsibility?
I mean, in a way, it it it sucks because it's like it's such a big change. I don't know if I'm ready to be that man, I guess you can say, if we're having a man-to-man conversation. So, it's just a lot of uncertainty. I'm just questioning myself like, am I going to be able to fulfill this at the level that I would want to that my wife expects me to or am I going to fall short? So, yeah, that's usually my thought process lately.
Okay. Where was your thought process when you booked in this call to try something else? Not trading, not affiliate marketing, but try the next thing. Did something change in your thought process?
I guess there's a lot more responsibility behind actually figuring out something. Now, at first it was again just myself and now it's like, well, I need to make this work not only for myself and my wife, but also the baby now. So, I guess the shift is just seeing that there's a bigger picture now rather than just, oh, it's for me. If it doesn't work out, whatever. I can just go back to my job. Now, it's again, I have to make it work cuz if I don't, then things are just going to be super tight and just going to be a lot of stress on the family in general.
Um, was there any part of this baby that was like unplanned or you didn't actually want to have a child right now with this lady?
Um, not really. You know, we talked about it and I mean it's a little bit of a surprise that it just happened now, right? But no, not really. I mean, what was the surprise? I mean, you're I just wasn't expecting it like maybe just like right now. I don't know. I was hoping for a couple of, you know, months, like give me some more time, but yeah, I was just hoping for more time.
Okay. All right. I'm I'm pretty sure I've got a clear picture of the basic lay of the land here. Do you mind if I relay it back to you and you tell me if you think I'm an [ __ ] for what I'm about to say? If you agree, if you disagree, because what you've shared with me has been very interesting and it's very important with anyone that we'd consider bringing into this program that we have alignment. So, can I share at least what I think I've picked up that you've put down?
Yeah.
Okay. You have had a lifestyle with your 9 to 5 that you clearly know is not the best you could have in terms of time and in terms of the money you're making every month. You want more control, but it sounds like for 10 years, the way that you've showed up in life has been four different things. And I'm going to break them down for you. Tell me if you disagree with any of them at the end. We'll go through all four of them. You might want to write these down, by the way. Number one is big things like wanting a change in lifestyle financially and time, or big things like having a child on the way in 5 months. It doesn't sound like you've been anything less than lazy in regards to having thought about those things, thinking them through, actually getting clarity on what the [ __ ] is going on and what you need to do. It's number one. So you just haven't thought about things. Number two is the different vehicles or attempts that you've had a go at; they've either been the wrong vehicle, probably because you didn't really think it through. You haven't invested in clear direction on any of those vehicles. Therefore, you haven't known what to do. You're just throwing [ __ ] at the wall and seeing what sticks. And you've only done two things in 10 years. So your actual level of input to try and get the lifestyle you want as a single man that wanted more time and more money or now as a father to be that has the responsibility of a child, you haven't actually operated in correctly at finding these vehicles and actually successfully going at these opportunities. And then the third one is you said you've repeated the same things over and over but expected a different result. And then the fourth one is, if I'm being blunt with you, it sounds like you have a little bit of resentment to the task or should I say the responsibility of being a guy that can build a better lifestyle for yourself now for your wife and now for your kid. So, as far as the way you've been showing up for the last 10 years, how do you feel about those four conclusions?
Um, I mean, you know, it is what it is, right? Um, I feel it's nothing I can change. All I can do is look forward. Um, yeah.
Well, do you think I want to look forward to the next step with you, which is considering enrolling you into this program? If that is your response to me trying to get clear on why you haven't already accomplished what you say you wanted for 10 years and the responsibility that you've now had for the last 4 months that your wife has already been pregnant, I get it. You can't change the past. But what I want to know is how are you now showing up today? Are you showing up as someone that is reflective, thinking things through, is actually going to go for the right vehicle with the right support, the right help for a long enough period of time to make it work, isn't going to keep repeating the same things over and over and expecting a different result, and actually isn't going to have any resentment at taking on the responsibility and putting on we could call it the burden of now being a husband to look after your wife and a father to look after your child? I need well I don't need anything. It's your life. But if you want to be considered for this program, there needs to be a very high likelihood that you have success. And based on the four things you've shared so far, you have a very low likelihood. So I need to have a conversation with you to consider moving forward on this call, which is based on those four different things that we've gone through. How do you actually feel about those four things in regards to why you haven't already got what you want?
I guess I feel that I just haven't been showing up as a person that truly wants these things that I'm saying.
Mhm.
Um, that I'm I guess I'm having a hard time growing up in a way where I've been this guy that's just relying on himself and not too much responsibilities and now being not forced into that role. But it it kind of feels that way a little bit, right? Like it's it's all just happening so quick that I do feel that way. But obviously this was something that was planned. So, um, yeah, I feel like I just I need to start making better decisions and really thinking things through before I just go, if I'm going to be honest about that, I guess.
Yeah.
Yep. I would agree with that. What do you think is the likelihood that you make better decisions when your current mindset to why you have to make those decisions is you feel forced into it?
I mean, I think it's a gift and a curse. Like, since I'm being forced into it, it's like you have no choice now. It's it's do or die time. You have to do it. So, I think it's a good thing because it's forcing me. Sucks a little bit, but I mean, if I'm able to see it through and do it, I know I would feel a lot better about myself being able to provide for not only my wife, but my kid as well, and she doesn't have to work or stress about money at all. And I know if I don't do those things that she would be stressed, I'll be stressed, and just not a good situation. So, interesting. So, correct me if I'm wrong. Are you saying that yes, this was something that you didn't plan to be forced into this situation, per se? It's also something that because it feels forced upon you, you you deal you do still feel that, you know, [ __ ] I didn't really ask for this. But it sounds like the way you're now approaching that force on you is I probably did need something to make me grow up to make me actually accomplish these things that I want to and I'm actually going to embrace that force that's being exerted on me, my wife, my kid to kid to be. Is that accurate?
Oh yeah, 100%. Yeah.
Okay. Why is that accurate?
Well, I mean, again, it's either I keep repeating the same stupid mistakes, doing the same things, and putting myself in a more bad situation, or I do take a look in the mirror and I say, "Hey, like I do need to become this man that I need to be because if not, I mean, maybe this relationship doesn't go, you know, in a good direction based on my actions." So, I guess now I'm just kind of seeing since you pointed out the last 10 years how I've been showing up. It's it's time to change that. If I really do want to get these results,
How much do you really want to get those results? Be honest with yourself. Make a better decision today. That better decision is not enrolling in this program necessarily. That better decision is not telling me what you think I want to hear. That better decision, which is the decision you haven't made for the last 10 years, is being honest with yourself. How much do you really really want to get these things now?
I mean, bad.
Why?
You know, I um I guess when it comes down to it, I've seen a lot of father figures in my life and they just they weren't showing up. Either they weren't around, they weren't there, they just weren't being the dads that like you would want to see. And I don't want to put myself in that category, even if it feels forced, even if, you know, have to grow up, all that stuff. But I I just don't want to be in that category of not being there for my child when all I have to do is get my [ __ ] together and be there. So that's Yeah, that's why.
Would you say you're in that category right now? Like before this conversation we've been having for the last 15 minutes and the honesty that you're now starting to reflect, are you in that category?
I mean, it's a hard pill to swallow, but I mean, yeah. I mean, based on
How I'm showing up and my mindset around things. Yeah. If I'm honest with you, even though you're admitting, "yes, I am in that category," it doesn't sound like you're actually—don't know if the right word is remorseful—but it doesn't sound like you actually feel bad about being in that category. It doesn't—I don't—I don't feel that you're like, "Shit, I am in that category, and and I I I want—don't want to be that person. I don't—I don't get that sense of you're taking this that seriously."
I guess it's just hard to because the baby's not here. So it's like, I understand I am in that situation, but why does the baby need to be here for you to know are you in the category of the husband and the father—father to be—whether the baby's out or the baby's in your wife's tummy. You are now in preparation to be a father—in—forget fatherhood. You've been a husband. Your wife could have not had to work for the last four months. So, why does the baby not being here right now mean that you're detaching yourself from whether you're in that category or not? Um, I guess if you put it that way, it doesn't matter. Am I putting it a way that's true or am I manipulating the truth? What do you feel? I mean, you're being truthful. That's what I feel right now, genuinely. So, okay.
So, I appreciate you sharing the stuff about fatherhood and not wanting to be in that category and, you know, you basically need to get your [ __ ] together. Mhm. It—it sounds like the biggest root cause of you not getting your [ __ ] together until now has been you have been the guy that's been in this category of not showing up the way that you could have been showing up as a as a partner years ago—as a boyfriend to this woman that's now your wife and now the mother of your children. Not showing up to yourself as the guy that was actually taking control of your life, making more time, making more money, building an income that would have allowed you to have a lifestyle that's not a 9 to 5. Sounds like the biggest root cause, and correct me if I'm wrong, is that you have actually been in that category that you say you didn't want to be in, but you've been in denial and saying, "Well, I'm not—I'm not going to allow myself to believe I'm in that category until I have a baby in front of me." Yeah. I mean, yeah.
How does that make you feel to actually face reality? Um, I mean, it kind of makes me feel like a piece of [ __ ] in a way. I mean, it's like I could have been doing all of this stuff even before this whole situation, and maybe it wouldn't feel so forceful. Maybe it's not the baby that's, you know, making things feel forceful. It's just me growing up and being aware that I have been putting myself in that category and I have been fine with that. And I guess besides this conversation, I really didn't look at it that way. And that's why I guess I was explaining it where it felt forceful because I was not looking in the mirror and not taking accountability for being in that place where I said I didn't want to be and actually enjoying it in a way, I guess you can say. So yeah, how much longer do you want to either be in that category or be in that category, but you're denying to yourself that you're in that category? Either one is the same thing. We're looking at it from two different sides. But my question is, how much longer are you willing to stay there and not actually get into the category that you say you want to be in or specifically not be in the category any longer that you don't want to be in? How much longer?
Not longer. No. Um, you have—you have another five months until reality is going to hit you in the face without you choosing it and being forced to face reality. Do you want to wait another day, another week, another month, another five months? No, I—I think that's why I'm here. Um, I definitely don't want to wait. Um, how much longer are you going to wait? Not much—much longer. How long is much? Because that lack of specificity is another example of you not thinking about it. Take—take 30 seconds. Take as long as you need. I can put this call on mute, go do something else, and come back. But you need to actually think about my question. How much longer are you going to stay in this category? No longer. Not another second longer. Not another day longer. Give me a timeline. Give yourself a timeline. Right now, a change needs to be made today.
Correct. Okay. Are you sure? Positive. As—as long as everything aligns as far as what I'm looking for, there's—Yeah. Why are you going to make such a draft—drastic shift from being the guy that waited nine years before making any single shifts to now being the guy that acts today, acts immediately? What has shifted for you to make such a drastic shift in the way you're showing up right now? I—I know this conversation. I haven't had a—another guy to approach me in this way and hold up, I guess you could say, the reality on how I'm showing up. I don't have anyone—like a figure or anything in my life. So having someone go through that process and continue to go through that process, um, I think that's a huge wake-up call, and it's something I've been needing without knowing, and I think that's the reason why I do want to take action now because if I do wait the five months, it's just going to get more stressful. So yeah, understood.
You mentioned having a figure in your life, someone show you reality, which is the same thing that you mentioned as far as the category that you've been in in your life and that you've now chosen to be in yourself as a man, which is not being that figure. You said, "I didn't—I had a bunch of father figures that didn't really give me what I needed, didn't really show me what I needed." You're now following that same path and put yourself in the same category as all of those other fathers. And now you're saying, and I, you know, sounds a bit weird, but I—I appreciate what you're saying sentimentally, that I'm representing that figure that you wanted in your life and that you want to be in your life to your wife and your child. Does that make sense? Yeah. What do you think about that? I mean, it's weird, I guess, a little bit, but I mean, it's again, it's something that I need because I do want to be this person that can provide. I do want to be this person that shows up in a way that they can rely on me. They can trust me, you know, and I mean, trust myself, I guess, too. So, I mean, I feel good to have this conversation, but again, I do feel excited to just make a lot of changes and show myself that I can become that person that brings in more money, that release myself from the job, that can, you know, just be a father, be present.
So yeah, you said that the biggest thing that you—one of the key things you need to do to grow up—now you're in this do or die situation—is to make better decisions—better than the decisions you've made over the last 9 years. How do you feel about the decision to potentially work with us and align yourself with us knowing that you didn't have that figure in your life? You're not showing up as that figure in your life. And now you've found your way onto a phone call with someone that is representing what you always wanted and what you want to continue doing moving forward. How does that connect with you now feeling certain that you're going to be making better decisions? Does that have an impact? Does it change nothing? Any thoughts there? Yeah, I think it's uh—I think it's a huge impact because right now I kind of get this feeling of like I can do this, and that just wasn't ever there. And I think that's probably even another reason why I haven't gave—stuff my all in the past is I just didn't have that feeling that I could do it. And for some reason right now I do have that feeling that I can do it. Um, I'm thinking about all the stuff that I'm going to do and stuff like that. So, yeah. I mean, I feel really good. I feel excited. But yeah. Yeah.
Cool. All right. I'm clear on all of that. We now need to get into next steps, which is you need to make better decisions. Decision one, we've already covered, and if anything changes, let me know. You're not going to put things off. You're going to think about what you need to do, which we've just done for the last half an hour. And what you know you need to do is take action right now—today. Are we in agreement on that? Yes. That's the first better decision. Better decision number two is what vehicle you chose the wrong vehicle before—which was trading. Why, if you do, do you feel the better decision for your next vehicle—and hopefully not next—last one—is going to be an Amazon FBA business? Why, if you do, is that the better decision than the decisions you made previously? Yeah, I feel like Amazon already has a huge market, and people already—there's tons of people buying. Um, so the market's there. I—I just need the foundations, the framework to do it. And that's just been something that I've been missing. And based on what you guys advertise, it seems like you guys give people exactly that. So, I think that's—that's exactly why.
Okay. You mentioned things with the trading, which was the timing was not right. How you feel about the timing that you need to put in in regards to building an Amazon FBA business? And I mean timing in terms of what times of day to do it. And also given the fact that you've got a pregnant wife that's going to get more and more pregnant over the next 5 months. How do you feel in regards to your time that you're able to commit to making this a reality? I feel that I will have all the time in the world for it because again I have to. It's—I got 5 months. That's not that much time—um—in this situation. So, whatever time I need to make, I'm going to make it. How much time are you going to make on a weekly basis? How much time are you going to commit to making on a weekly basis? At least 30—30 hours a week. Okay. And how does that fit in with your 9 to 5? I mean, honestly, perfectly. After work, if I'm not playing the video game, you know, I'm just doing kind of mindless stuff. So, I have more than enough time to be actually putting into something that matters.
Break down how 30 hours is going to be spread out through the week for you in terms of if I join the program. Well, if you do what you need to do to actually—with respect—grow up and do what you need to do to make the money. Yes. How are you going to put 30 hours into your week? Um, yeah. I'm really just going to get the direction from you guys. Understand what I need to do. What I mean is when are you going to put—when are you going to do those 30 hours? Now, let's pause for a second. Why do you think I'm asking you all of these specifics? Um, based on the way you've shown up for the last nine years, why do you think I'm making you think about these things? Because for the last 10—nine years, I haven't been thinking about these small steps. And these small steps show up in big ways. Hence why I'm where I'm at right now. So you're really giving me a clear road map on what I need to do so I can execute that at a high level is what I think. Correct. And why do you think I'm being so specific on you personally? Because of how comfortable I have been in the category of not being this father figure or this person that I want to be. I've been so comfortable with doing—being lazy, repeating the same thing and expecting a different result. And why specifically for you would that not be okay to continue like that? Hence why I'm going into all these details with you? Because I have such a big change coming. I have another life that's coming into the world. And if I'm showing up that way and they get a glimpse of that, that would be destructible to myself. I—I wouldn't want to have—be that example to that person because in your words, it's do or die. You have a wife to take care of. You have a child to take care of. You have currently spent nine years showing up with a lot of missing pieces in your thinking—things through. And I'm doing my very best to make sure that that stops today. Make sense?
Definitely. So, let's go into the 30 hours. How many hours on a weekday? How many hours on a weekend? How are you going to fit that in? I'm looking at least four to five hours Monday through Friday once I get home. Okay. And then I mean weekends—weekends are usually open. I'll do the same thing. Maybe even—I mean, most likely more because I'm not working. So I'll do, you know, six, seven hours—whatever it takes. I mean, especially on the weekend. Five—five hours a day basically is correct—committing to. Okay. Cool. Yeah. All right. So that's Amazon FBA. That's your time. You can do it at the times that work for you. You're going to stick to a—a plan specifically. Why, if you do, do you feel like the better decision for you to make now is not repeating what you did with the affiliate marketing, which is where you had no clear direction? Why is—why is following that not going to be a better decision? Um, can you rephrase that?
Sure. Last time when you did affiliate marketing, which was one of the two things you tried over the nine years, it didn't work out because you said you didn't have clear direction. Therefore, you said it went on the back burner. Those are your specific words. If that's what happened with the affiliate marketing, what is the better decision that you need to make for having a successful Amazon FBA business in regards to having clear direction—is getting someone like yourself, a mentor, having you guys lay out everything—or what I need to do so I can just do it and not have to fall into the same path—pattern of, "Oh, I don't know what to do, so I'm just going to be lazy and drop things off." Mhm. Okay, that makes sense, too. Why specifically do you want us to mentor you to lay everything out for you so you can just do it? What was it about us that attracted you? You guys had really good testimonials. I didn't see anything negative or bad about you guys, even if I did my research on Reddit. Um, the content I just align with—you know, your person talks about—you know, their rough past and the things they overcame. So I think I connected with that, and then this call now just really put in perspective that like you guys are the people I want to work with. You guys hold people accountable to what they say. So yeah.
Okay. Okay. So, it sounds like you had some initial alignment from the fact that we have results, testimonials. You had alignment with our content. Not exactly sure what that means, but doesn't seem like it's the most critical thing. What mattered most, if I'm understanding you correctly, is that now having had this conversation, you know that we're the people that you want to hold you accountable during what is a do or die situation. Correct. Why? Why us? Yeah. I mean, again, this is the first call I ever took. This is the first thing I ever done. So, based on your guys' track record, you guys help people that are in my same exact situation, and you guys get them to a point where they're a different person, it seems like—income wise, I guess. But I'm—I'm looking to do exactly that. So, you specifically mentioned that this conversation gave you that decision that we're the people you want to work with. Was there anything specific about this conversation that makes you feel, if you do, given that it's your first conversation that you don't want to spend more time looking around and see if there's anybody else that gives you a more impactful conversation than this? Um, no. I don't—I don't think so. And the reason for that is because I feel like this whole time you've been nothing but honest and truthful. Um, you know, you hear a lot of stories of people just trying to, you know, scam people, and you kind of made a front line in the beginning like, "I'm not going to bring you into this program if this is the way you're thinking because you're not going to have a high likelihood of success." Hearing that is like, oh, well, he actually cares about me, not just enrolling me into this and then never speaking to me again. So I think it was just more—yeah—this—this conversation—I just—it shows me the detail that you guys do and the commitment level that you guys have to excellence, and I want to be around that.
So okay—excellence—I think I'm clear on—I don't think—I know I'm clear on everything but one thing—which I—I'm curious—I—I'm assuming with respect that you haven't thought about it so we're going to think about it now. Obviously, there's an investment to join this, and it's going to be a significant investment, and it's going to be even more of a significant investment when you know that you don't have the income coming in from your wife. And when you hear that investment, which I won't tell you it now cuz you don't know all the details and we have to go through every detail so you know what it covers. But I'll tell you right now, when you hear that investment, the likelihood is there'll be a part of you that thinks, "h—how am I going to figure out the money?" Or maybe I'll just try and figure it out on my own again, and I'll just keep doing what I've done before and repeating the cycle of expecting a different result. Obviously, I can see now from having this conversation that you're a smart enough guy to know that there was going to be an investment. How are you going to make a better decision on working through that investment when it comes up at the end of this call? What are you going to tell yourself or talk yourself through to actually make the investment to get a mentor that is going to give you a laid-out plan and you can just do it?
Yeah, just this feeling that I have right now of just certainty. Keep that and just tell myself if you don't do this, you're going to fall right back into that category of a horrible father figure. If so, I guess using it like that and thinking of it that way, if I don't make this decision, I'll fall back to the same lifestyle that I've been in. And if I tell myself that, I know I—whatever it is, doesn't matter what the investment is, I'll—I'll push past it because it's more than just the money that I'm breaking. It's like I'm breaking the habit of being a no-good father in a sense. Okay. And given that you've been okay being in that category for the n—last 9 years, what is it that's really shaken you up to not be willing to stay in that category any longer when it's going to be much harder to get yourself out of that category when it comes to pulling the trigger on a financial investment? I want to know a little bit more detail as far as—I mean—all—all you'll be doing if you don't pull the trigger is staying in the category that you've been in for the last 9 years—doesn't sound that bad when you put it like that—so why—if it is—is it going to be so bad for you now—um—I think just going through this conversation—couple emotions came up—and something I thought about during our conversation is just how—um—I guess how unpresent my father is, I guess in a way—and not unpre—like he's there—he's, you know, he's here—but you know, he is always working—he is always just busy—on that—going to sleep—like there's no really, you know, like time and energy put into the relationship really—and having that thought and that feeling come up. I—I just wouldn't want to—what's the word I'm looking for?—I just wouldn't want to recycle that same experience with my child. So, if I don't make a decision like this, then what I'm telling myself is I'm okay with working
These crazy hours. I'm okay with fighting for promotions and not being there, present with my family. Is how is the thought process that I kind of went down based on this conversation.
Understood. Okay. All right. Let me check that I've got everything correct. Please, at the end, let me know if anything's incorrect or if there's anything that you want to add in.
Mhm. For nine years, you wanted a different lifestyle. You wanted more control over your time. You wanted more control over the money you were making per month. But in your words, you didn't want it bad enough. You didn't really want it bad enough for 9 years. And as a result of not wanting it bad enough, you put yourself in a category which you said you really didn't want to be in, which was being the guy, whether it's father, husband, or just a man to yourself that doesn't show up in the right way. You were showing up not thinking about things, being very lazy and having thought about your responsibilities, your future, what you truly, the life you're truly living. You chose to dabble at a couple of different things, which are even that just two things over nine years. You chose the wrong vehicle because you didn't think about it. You didn't get clear direction, probably because you didn't think about how to get clear direction with a mentor, with a training, with a community. And you ended up repeating the same thing over and over and over again, expecting a different result. And you lost nine years of your life. And because you lost 9 years of your life recently, through your own doing, recently when your wife got pregnant, you felt this force hit you that was like, "Oh, I didn't didn't expect that to happen now." You knew what was going to happen, but you said you wanted more time. You didn't expect it to happen right now. And that blunt force trauma, so to speak, has been met with [ __ ] I kind of resent a little bit having to put on this responsibility because I've never done it for nine years and I've been willing to coast with being in a category that I'm going to deny that I'm even in, which is being the father, being the man that I don't actually want to be.
And it sounds like maybe a divine intervention or you actually finally growing up. You've now looked at that conflict of those two things and gone, "I didn't really want this." This is feeling forced upon me, but maybe it's my moment. Maybe it's actually what I've always needed and I was probably never going to do it on my own. So now I've got this thing in front of me which is make making me do it, but I'm not going to view it as being made to do it. I'm going to go, "I'm glad I'm being made to do it." I needed it. Would have been great if it happened 5 years ago or even 9 years ago. And that do or die moment is your wife's pregnant. She's already uh four months pregnant and you now need to grow up over the next four months, starting today and make better decisions. Specifically, right now in the decision of not putting things off, having thought things through like you and I have done like adults, choosing the right vehicle, getting clear direction on that vehicle, and actually then um specifically changing your life, making more money, having more time, so that the $3,000 plus all the additional expenses that you're going to have to cover now, all on your shoulders, is going to be something that is actually accomplished rather than you being the father that you don't want to be that you seem to have experienced yourself, which is the category of father that doesn't show up, doesn't take responsibility, doesn't grow up, doesn't actually make the right decisions and you know that you haven't been accountable to those things on your own. So you want us to be accountable, holding you accountable, and seems like this conversation has shown you that we will do that for you. We will be detailed. We will be specific. We will hold you accountable so that you don't ever be in this category today, or should I say you don't stay in the category that you're already in today and don't stay in that category over the next four months with a baby on the way, which is being the father figure to be that you don't want to be. Is that accurate?
Yeah, 100%. Is there anything I missed? Is there anything you would like to change?
No. Okay. So, how much longer do you want to not have the external accountability that you know you need and stay in the category of man, father that you no longer want to stay in? How much longer?
No longer. Okay. We can definitely make that shift together. I'll hold you accountable. My team will hold you accountable. The coaches will hold you accountable. If you want me to break down A through to Z what that accountability, that plan that will be laid out for you is going to look like and all you've got to do is just do it. We can now go through A through to Z what that looks like.
Sounds good. Beautiful. All right. Done. [ __ ] a.
Dude, how do you feel, man?
Um, crazy. Uh, just hearing the summary back, I just kind of just like was like lost in the sauce. I was like, "damn, this is this is really accurate, really good." Um, one thing I love that you did is you just didn't let me off the hook whatsoever. Like, I said stuff, I gave you stuff that you maybe just wanted to hear or whatever, and like you got the you felt like those words didn't have weight to it. You were like, "Nah, I'm going to go back into that and say something." And you did that probably like two to three times on things I said, right?
And yeah, so it's crazy. Beautiful. All right, folks. We're going to spend 10, 15 minutes chatting about this, going through. I was not reading any of the comments while we were going along. As you probably noticed, I was present. So, put your hands up, guys, if you have, guys and girls, if you have something you want to share. Now, I could be wrong. I expect there'll be quite a number of you that do actually have something you've said in the chat, something you want to say now. So, everyone that wants to say something, put your hand up. I'll see how many of you there are and then we'll go through everyone. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe it's just Jay. I was seeing the chat box pop off and I thought a bunch of you saw things. So, even guys, if it's something that you saw in the discovery, bear in mind when this goes on YouTube, when it goes into school and you can see it all again and I'll I'll rip this out. The chat box is not going to be there. So, if there's something that you noticed at the time, bring it up now. If you can remember, "hey, you did this thing or this happened or Deario said this," and we'll talk about it. Okay. Now, before I break into the questions, some of you may be thinking, "well, that was 55 minutes. So, what happens now?" Great question. If you're thinking about that, there is going to be a small number of prospects that do what Deario did. I'm glad he did it because it shows a demonstration of what to do with a difficult prospect that has a lot of baggage, that has a lot of stuff going on. Totally fine handling it. With those types of prospects, in my opinion, you do not want to twostep them. Why not? Why not go, "Oh, great stuff, brother. You know, I'd love to take you through A through to Z what we've got going on over here. I've got another call coming up." Because you've had such a massive intervention with that person, the likelihood of breaking that call and rebuilding the steam again, pretty slim. I need to keep that guy on a short leash until he gets into the program and I move him over from my accountability on the call to the accountability of the fulfillment team. I don't want there to be a [ __ ] gap in between that. If this was a prospect which wasn't as hard to to intervene with his way of showing up, I would definitely two-step this and I would just say, "Awesome. We're clear on everything. I'll take you through the A through to Z on another call." That's not how I would say it, but that's what I would be doing with this person. I'm looking at my calls and going, "This guy needs my help. He's willing to accept my help. He's shown up through the call the way he needed to with my with my help," and I'm going to close him out and I'm going to move back my second call that was about to turn up. Knowing that every time you reschedule a call, you have a percentage that it's they're not going to turn up the second time. So, I'm looking at those two prospects and going, the right thing for me to do is finish off with this prospect. I've I've got to finish this call off. I got to stay on this call. Does that make sense to everyone in the chat? You don't want to twostep this type of guy. Just got and I would have been texting my prospect probably by about I looked at the clock and it said 11:35 and in my head I was thinking we started 5 minutes past so we've been half an hour. That was the first moment in my head where I thought I might need to to uh I might need to text my next prospect. I wouldn't have done it then but it would have registered in my head. Okay, we've been here for half an hour in discovery. I can close a call in one hour that has a 40-minute discovery, but it's [ __ ] tight. Like, you're on the line. So, at 30 minutes of discovery, it registered. By the time we're at 40 minutes, I'm like, "I I still need another 10 minutes with this guy." That would have been the point. So, we would have been 40 minutes into the discovery. So, if you imagine if you're on a sales call, you would have 20 minutes before your next call. I would have been texting my next prospect and saying, "Hey, brother. Um, I'm on a call with a previous person that we're about to enroll, which by the way would have been me manifesting it and I know I know my skill set. I know I'm going to enroll them. I'm going to need more than the hour that I have scheduled. So, I'm going to have to push our call back. I could either hop on with you, you know, 10 minutes past or we could reschedule. Which do you prefer?" Something to that effect. The point I'm making, guys, is I would have been texting the prospect and I would not have been focusing on the next call that's coming. I would have been staying on this call and closing this person. Hopefully that makes sense, guys. Let's get into the question. So, Jay, I'm going to bring you up first.
There you go. I was very very very blown away by by the level of mastery, first of all. Like, there's so many layers to to how you're going about it. And like my my main takeaway was your you were taking his like 30 hours approach and in the middle of you tying him down on the 30 hours, you paused it and you tied him back on the whole whole call, which for me was like, "Wow, man." because he needed that tie down because he wasn't going to to you you couldn't let him off the hook there and be like, "Yeah, 30 hours." So, for me, it was just mind-blowing, man.
Amazing. See, um it's good for me to see how how deep it goes, right? Very, very good for me to see.
Brother, my pleasure. All right, let's pull up Martin. Guys, I'm surprised that there's only two more people. Did nobody else have any takeaways or are you just scared to share your takeaway or what's going on, folks? I mean, hey, I I put myself in the firing line today. I had to brush off the cobwebs and, you know, trim my gray hairs. I'm I'm retired now, but I was like, "I think I've still got it." So, I expect some of you to have some comments. Go on, Martin. What have you got?
Yeah. Yeah, you still you still got it, Jos. Got to got to give that to you. Uh really really impressive. Um this is the whole way where you just go off and right from the start you go into what shifted like after 10 years that was very like always think that we talked about like building up till later but you just went straight into that and just confirms the script of selling and just what makes sense to ask now and then build on top of that. Um, this was really fun because I had a similar lead to yesterday where I also had to do a lot of like leading and kind of like painting the picture for them because he was all to all my question he was like, "I don't know I really hadn't thought about it," that kind of prospect. So that's really fun to see how you handle it but I'm bring it for for Wednesday for call you uh because I'm unsure how you could have cut that down. It ended up taking an hour and a half. Yeah. So also fun to see that how you run this call it was so similar and how you would have done it differently and also like it can take longer and how to do do that. Um, one question. When you do the when you have to reschedule the next lead, do you just do that or do you tell them, "Hey, I'm just gonna send a text message here." So, you just pause the call or do you do the right because you kind of shift?
Great question. Um, if I feel like I can do it without making the prospect feel like I'm not concentrating, I would rather do it without mentioning anything because I want the prospect to feel I'm I'm really there. Bear in mind when I was closing full-time, I had like template text messages. So, I would have had the whole text typed out. I would have just gone copy paste, changed the prospect's first name and and it would have been done, right? Also, bear in mind that when I took a lot of sales calls, it was audio only. So like a lot of time because I wanted to be in state, I would have my feet up on the table and just be chilling because I wanted to be in absolute peak state, which is for me at the time that was like I'm I'm just like I'm almost like the therapist that's just sitting there back in my chair writing the notes. Okay, data, data, data, data. And then if I needed to use my phone to text a prospect, I would I would have done it. So, but if you're on video, then template the text message, have it in advance ready to go, but don't be manifesting prospects that take that long. Then just copy paste the text message, change the name, and you're done. So, got it. Makes sense. But yeah, really, really great call. Lots of good takeaways in the notes.
Glad to hear it, brother. All right, we got the other I don't know how you pronounce your name, brother. So, I'm going to pull you up and you can explain uh or you can share exactly how we do the pronunciation. Not sure if it's Mikuel, Michael. I'm not sure.
Michael is good. It is Michael. Okay. So, it's just a different spelling.
Okay, cool. Yeah, different spelling. Yes. What's up, brother?
Great to see you. Great to see you. I just registered today and uh yeah, it's pure magic. I I'm just blown away by the level of depth that you can enter into the level also of uh um intimacy that you can create with the prospect. It's really intimate and it's perhaps a newbie question, but does it happen sometimes that the person just uh reacts and says, "Okay, it's getting too personal or yeah, to have such a reaction because I see you're so connected to the person. I guess it won't happen." But does it actually happen sometimes?
It's a wonderful question. And what you've got to realize is that someone having that reaction was a reaction because of the intimacy. They're not they're not separate things. So it's like if I'm so intimate with someone and they're like, "I need to break I I I need to eject from the situation." I'm like, "wow that's very interesting. Why?" Because we were so deep into what's going on. Did you have that reaction? That's just going to be the next part of my discovery. I'm looking at the reaction and thinking, "interesting," and I would probably say, "we've been having a very deep conversation and up until now you've been connected on this conversation. What was it about what I just said or the conclusion we just got or the thing that just happened that broke it for you?" The fact that something broke this the connection for the person, I know I'm on to the money. I'm on to whatever really is going on now. So, it's just the next layer of going deeper in the discovery is I don't look at that and go, "Oh [ __ ] we're out of connection. We're out of discovery." I'm going, "They wanted to distance themselves from this intimacy. Why? What was it about what I said that made you feel that uncomfortable?" And now we're just going to get back into intimacy again because of the doorway through their reaction. Does that make sense?
Super. Yeah. Perfect. Thank you.
You're very welcome, brother. Awesome stuff. All right, let's bring up Daniel.
Hello. Hello. Can you guys hear me?
We can. What's good? How you guys doing?
Doing awesome. Yourself?
I'm doing fantastic. Just got another piff for the end of the month. So, feeling good. The biggest takeaways that I have is um at the start when he said something about 10 years and you were like where something shifted and then it's like the speed and you were on game right off the bat and then the second thing is towards the end you really pressed him on like taking the ownership for himself and you were like super detached. You were like, "I don't care if you know I get the sale or not. I I just want you to admit to yourself that you're not this version of the guy that you're talking about." So that was just awesome to see how detached you are. And by that you just get the sale at the end of the day.
100%. Yep. Precision and detachment. If you miss one of those guys, if you're super precise, but you're precise because you're trying to get what you want, that precision has a counterforce. Equally, if you're not precise, but you're super detached, you're you're so detached, but the conversation's not following any direction. You got to have both. You got to be precise like an arrow, but you release the arrow and it goes where it goes. You're not like, "Oh, I need to control the direction of the arrow." So then you're just affecting the wind that the arrow is trying to just fly through. You got to do both perfectly.
Yep. 100%. All right, we'll bring up the other J. Guys, if anybody else has anything you want to share or anything you want to add. Where's all the ladies? We got no ladies want to say anything. They all bounced. Cla. No, Cla's there. All right. I want to hear takeaway from Claire as well. Jay, what have you got?
How's it going, guys? Um, biggest takeaway is it was like having the ball on a string. Like when you like when you watch basketball or if you've ever watched like the Harlem Globe Trotters or you know the some of the best guys in the NBA like Kyrie Irving, he'll he doesn't even need to do some of the moves that he's doing with the basketball, but he just knows that he has his opponent on lock that he can just take a couple extra steps because he's just in sync. Like you could have told him, I'll put it in a basketball scenario as well. Like, I'm gonna put it through your legs, bring it back around, throw it off the backboard, and then lay it up. You could have told them that verbatim and then still executed because it got to a point in the conversation where you could have asked, you know, the questions you were asking were incredibly personal. But it's like at this point, he's going to answer anything you say because everything is just I'm gonna ask you a question. I'm going to take exactly what you say and I'm gonna flip it. And that is just I had some realizations myself even as you were holding the the mirror up for him like the way he's been showing up and just how accurate the summary was.
Mhm. I'm thinking in my head to get to this level of mastery, some of the things I'm doing in my life right now and some of my behaviors, I'm just not going to be able to get to that level of mastery if I continue to show up
The way I've been showing up. And so, um, even just, you know, putting myself in Deario's shoes, um, as the prospect, I almost felt my, um, like I felt that that pressure of like I need to I need to flip it myself cuz I'm over here getting hype like for you. Like I'm cheering on like a fan like, "Oh, Josh is getting him." But it's like, why am I getting so antsy and hype? Like, why am I so why am I so um what's the word? Uh, distraught, I think, by how deep you're going. I'm like, "What? He's going even deeper, even deeper." Um, and I kind of had this realization where I'm like, "Oh, cuz if I was a prospect right now and Josh was running a discovery on me, I would probably be like [ __ ] I'm not really not really showing up how I need to be showing up." So, um, that was that was major.
Bunch of amazing things you said there, Jay. So, I'm going to break down some of those things. Let me go back to just tomorrow and I. So, all right, guys. Let's get into the summary of that call. And most of this is actually just come from what Jay said. These are not in any particular order. So Jay said uh, in fact before I start with a lot of what Jay said as I was going through the call I realized not for the first time but in that context of that call what the biggest thing was that so many sales people are missing and it's why they don't make a lot of money.
There was something that Deario said as the prospect. I'm curious if anybody spotted it and he said it more than twice. I think three, maybe four, maybe even five times. And this is the secret to sales, guys. This is the secret to making a lot of money in sales. Put in the chat if you know what it was that Deario said three or more times.
There was a big big big reason that that call was going to close and why you would close any call. Forced? Nope. Not that. Anybody else put it in the chat quick, guys? If you don't know, just put "don't know." Do or die? Nope. The This is something Dear Mario said in regards to what you can do as a salesperson, not what he was saying specifically as like a, you know, the data that he gave as a prospect. All right, to speed it up, guys. He said three or more times, the biggest thing that has shifted was going through this conversation. Not once, not twice, not three times, I'm pretty sure it was four times. He said it was going through this conversation that changed everything for me. I've said it before, guys, and I'll say it again. Your prospects come to the call where they could be a close or they could be a no close. The thing that affects the outcome is the conversation that you have, not the questions you ask, the tonality, the script or any of that beat BS or the objections at the end, but it is did they have a conversation that was so lifechanging for them that they'll never forget it. Most of you just still haven't grasped the power of having that type of conversation with a human being. When you have that level of conversation, the money figures itself out. The ownership at the end of the call, "Oh, I need to ask my wife." That [ __ ] doesn't happen because the conversation that you just had with them was so one of one that that's what determines the outcome of the conversation.
Did anybody else notice that during the discovery that Deario had said like three times, it was about this conversation? Meaning it was more about me, the closer. The way I was showing up, the depth, the connection, the empathy, the challenging. I was this close to Deario the whole time. We were like this close. Was not I'm talking, asking questions, you're over here, you're responding, and then I say something, and then you respond. Wasn't a back and forth conversation with two people aside from each other. It was I'm touching this guy's heart like he can't escape it. Like I'm right there like feeling what's going on, digging into it, going so deep.
Okay, so the biggest thing for you all to realize and I love what the other Michael said, which is the intimacy of it. The intimacy of that conversation is what the prospect means when they say "going through this conversation changed everything." It's the power of you being a master closer, guys.
All right. Second one, what Jay said, uh, the basketball player that doesn't even need to do some of the moves that they're doing. That's the other part to being a master closer and making a lot of money. There were things which I was doing in the conversation to Deario that you were thinking in the chat. I mean, "Has Josh not already gone deep enough?" I don't roll the dice on my commissions, guys. I'm going to do everything in my power to make winning inevitable. A guarantee that I [ __ ] win. I'm not going to go, "Oh, you know, been 20 minutes. Time's up. That'll do." I'm going to go until I'm like, "I've crossed every tea and dotted every eye, and this guy is gonna give me money and change his life." That is the level of responsibility I take to my sales calls. And this was just a [ __ ] roleplay, guys. Even to the point where I was like, "I'm still reading my pre-call checklist." It's not even a real call. I'm still going to read my pre-call checklist. Before this role play, I was thinking, "okay, what am I going to do for 5 minutes before the call to just chill out?" I went out. I sat outside in the sun. I just took some breathing. I was thinking through, "okay, I'm going to meet this person. We're going to have a really deep conversation." and I don't know what's going on in their life, but I care about them. I want to think and feel through what's going on. And I went through my old rituals of getting myself into that level of owner uh that level of responsibility that makes me and made me a lot of money in sales. You got to take it more seriously, guys. You got to go to the ends of the earth for your prospects. Okay, that's number two.
Number three, Jay was saying that he was sat there going, "Fuck, I'm feeling challenged even though I'm not the prospect." Truth and a conversation at a very, very high vibration and high frequency of truth is universal. Truth is truth. It doesn't matter if it's well, you know, Deario saying that he didn't have a father figure and then someone in the audience is a woman. That's, you know, "I didn't have a mother figure." The details don't matter. Is it a father figure? Is it a mother figure? It's just on a chunked up level. We're having a conversation that's more about the truth than most of you have had that type of conversation in decades. Most of you don't have conversations that are that truthful. That is why you all feel it. Even though you're like, "I'm not even the [ __ ] prospect." You feel the frequency of what a real truthful conversation feels like. That's why.
Okay. Next one was um, and this one's uh sharing a personal side for all of you. As soon as I finished that call, what do you think is going through my mind? Guys, put in the chat. As soon as we finish that call, even though it would have been a closed call, what's the first thing that's going through my mind? And I can't turn it off, guys. Put in the chat. Jay says "cooked." Put in the chat, guys. "I've saved him. I changed this guy's life. I helped this human being, his wife and his kids. I'm glad I helped him commit. I served him." I'm so glad that you're all commenting on this. Keep going, guys. "Changed his life" because every single one of you is proving with your comments why unless you change this, you're never going to make it. You're never going to make a lot of money in sales. Seth, "I did my job. On to the next." The very first thing that went through my mind is "I could have asked about this. Should have probably asked about the wife. Should have probably asked how the wife was feeling and how it's affecting her." Immediately after the call, I'm thinking "I could have done better." I'm immediately reviewing my own call in my head, thinking all of the additional things I could have done to make it better. I don't get off that call and go, "Oh, closed call. Awesome. On to the next one." I'm straight away thinking in hindsight next time in that type of situation I really should have asked about the wife. I'm curious Demario given that your wife's five months pregnant and she knows the type of guy that you've been showing up as. In fact, I would have said "given your wife's 5 months pregnant and she's been with you for 10 for however long. I probably should have found out how long. Does she know how you're showing up in life?" "Oh, yeah. I guess so." "How do you think she feels you're showing up?" "Well, I think she feels I'm lazy about thinking about things. I'm not proactive. I'm not this. I'm not that." "How do you think she feels being aware of that now that she's only got 4 months left to have a baby with you? How do you think she feels?" I should have asked about that. Even though that call would have definitely [ __ ] closed. I'm not resting on my laurels and going, "Oh, well, it closed." Like, you know, I'm done. Like, cool. On to the next one. Straight away, I'm looking back at myself and going, "Not good enough. I could have done more. I could have done better. I should have performed at a higher level." This is the difference that makes the difference, guys. Every one of you put the same [ __ ] in the chat, which is, "Oh, well done. Josh closed the call. Awesome. Changed his life." No. That's not what gets you to 100K a month, guys. What gets you to 100K a month is the level of professionalism to finish any call, closed call, non-closed call, and you're still thinking, "Could have done better. Could could have been a better performance." That's the difference, guys. Does that make sense? That brings me back to your point that you said that what happens before the call and after the call is very important.
Yep. Exactly how you're thinking is you saying, "Hey, oh, I could have did this. I could have did that." And just keep sharpening that over and over and over instead of just saying, "Oh, it's done. I did it. Yeah, on to the next one. Let's go." Good. Good enough. It closed. That That's good enough. Mindset of "good enough" is not someone that becomes a champion. And let's get into the spiritual laws of sales, guys. Let's compare two options. Closer number one closes a call, pats himself on the back, says, "I'm happy I saved someone's life." Good. That's nice. It's caring about people. And he does that and moves on to the next call. The mindset which creates the frequency which transmits a signal to the universe which is going to be your very next [ __ ] prospect by the way and all the other prospects for the rest of the day that just text you and cancel your calls and you wonder why what the [ __ ] I just closed the call I had a great performance and now two people just canceled what the [ __ ] going on that frequency you just sent out was the frequency of someone that's saying "I'm already good enough I already closed like you know I can chill I can put my feet up" versus imagine what happens to my next prospect that materializes and the rest of my calls for the day when my mindset is "I am so considerate about my responsibility as a closer that even though I finished that last call the very first thing that goes through my head is what could I have done better" and I said before guys I can't even turn it off that was a role play it's not a real prospect it's not a real call and straight away I'm like ah you know I let that guy down I I should have [ __ ] asked about his wife Like I'm thinking I let him down even though I closed him. I'm still thinking I let him down. I should have really asked him about how his wife's feeling. Part of me was thinking I kind of let the wife down. Like I I didn't bring her into the conversation. Not literally, but bring her in as in how is she feeling? Like she must feel like [ __ ] [ __ ] right now. She's got four months until 5 months until the baby and her husband is not showing up and has consistently not shown up for 9 years. She must be stressed out of her eyeballs. And I'm thinking, "I let the wife down. I I didn't care enough about her." Imagine the frequency I'm sending out to God, to the universe, where I'm thinking, "I need to care more about people." I'm taking that responsibility, that weight on my shoulders of "I care enough about my profession, about my job, about my place in the world, about my impact, about my responsibility that I'm thinking about these things." That's going to manifest the next prospect to come to my call being ready to buy, ready to open up to me, ready to have an honest, deep conversation. And these things spiral. You've got one deep conversation to the next one, to the next one, to the next one. It's the piece in between the calls. What mindset do you have? What frequency are you emitting that determines the next stuff? I know that if I show up as someone, as I've said before, "money follows responsibility." If I show up as someone responsible, which is "I did a good job. I closed the call, but I could have done better. I could have cared more about the wife. I could have cared more about asking the guy about how he thinks his wife feels." That frequency of being more responsible is going to manifest and transpire into even more closes. That difference in the middle is massive, guys. Huge. If I consistently show up as a person that is being more responsible, taking more responsibility, I will attract more money. Make sense? Okay.
All right. Um, final two points. Hopefully, you all saw, but I'll point it out. You got to realize that what you're focusing on is the data to connect it to the inputs that created the data, which was this guy had four ways that he was showing up. I need both of those sides of the equation. The data which allows me to draw the conclusion and the conclusion allows me to show the guy the inputs creating the outputs, the cause creating the fact which allows him to choose is he ready to take ownership. You've got to have both of those pieces in your calls. Pure data gathering and then be able to draw the conclusion and say, "Okay, so it sounds like this is happening, this is happening, and this is happening which is causing this. Is that accurate?" Okay. So, you got to draw those two conclusions. And then the final one, which Jay said as well, Jay said, you know, he was surprised when he was like, "Fuck, Josh is going even deeper." I'll say this bluntly, guys. No [ __ ] That's why I made 100K a month in commissions. There's no secret word track or tonality or let's practice our four objections. I made more money than most salespeople and more than any of you are currently making and I want that to change because no [ __ ] I did more than you were doing. What did you expect, guys? That you're going to see a role play and be like, "Oh yeah, that makes sense. Josh did all the things I thought he was going to do." No, you're going to have your mind blown because that's what happens when you get in the room with someone that made five or 10 times more money than you is you're like, "Oh [ __ ] there is layers and levels to this that I didn't even know existed." No [ __ ] guys. Okay.
All right. Anybody else got anything they want to add? That's everything from me. Put your hand up if you got anything you want to add, guys. Going once. Going twice. All right, Jay.
Yeah, just one last thing that I'm I'm I really want to tie down for myself and hopefully for people is that the level of congruence that you have is just that's like on another Yeah, obviously on another level, right? And I was kind of clear. Congruence of what? What was congruent? Congruence of the way you were showing up as a leader in the conversation because there was like a certain because you were talking about the energy of the conversation earlier but I which is pretty like was pretty deep at some point you went into the the point that he didn't have a father like a proper father figure in his life and that you were showing up as the father figure but to do that you have to be I because I was thinking in my head like I have I have calls with people who who are doing 500k per year, right? And to set myself to a position where you're actually not you're not talking down on those people, right? That's not what I'm getting at. But you're talking at a certain level like I have I have I have the weight in this conversation, right? Yeah. You need you need to hold yourself that and that goes beyond the the dynamics of the call. You need to be able to hold yourself to a level that's so high you keep yourself to a standard that's so high which really put things in perspective for me right like I was this is the same thing that other Jay said but am I keeping myself to that standard that I can talk to people from that energy field right that attractor pattern that I'm like okay I know what I'm talking about and and it's not it's not like you're going to listen to me, but it's like they're listening to you because you have that energy and you have that vibe over you like "I've been here, [ __ ]" That's what I mean with congruency.
Yep. Beautiful. Let me break that down because there's two very important things from that. Part one is that's why we start with internal mastery because if you are the person who is able to know your state and change your state, you are the person who can instill drive inside yourself. You are the person who consciously chooses an environment that is serving you, not sabotaging you. You consciously choose the right actions like getting out the house and walking in the morning. You consciously choose to take care of your health, your sleep, your diet, your water. You do have that gravitational field. That's why we start with the internal mastery. I can Some people will watch what I did on YouTube and go, "Oh, I'm just going to write down what Josh said and just ask the same things." Won't [ __ ] land. You'll try it and you'll get a conflict with the prospect and be like, "What the [ __ ] Why didn't it work?" because you don't have and I train this at the live mastermind what's called "voice to impact ratio." You can say the words but you have no impact because you're not that person. So part one is yeah you do have to start becoming that person which is why the underground mentor taught me internal mastery changes first. You got to clean your bathroom. You got to go to bed at the right time. You got to care about your sleep. You've got to be a responsible person so that when you talk, it has gravity. It has impact. Now, that's part one. Part two, I want to make sure that nobody uses this as a rationalization or an excuse, which is, "well, Josh can talk like this now because he's already made 100K." No, I spoke like that to get to 100K. And I spoke like that because I was doing two things. Number one, the internal things that we've already laid out for you in the launchpad. I was doing those things consistently that allowed me to speak like that. And by the way, I was 26 years old speaking selling a dating offer to guys that were only allowed to get on that offer initially, not not later on, we changed it, but in the beginning if they made over 100k a month, 100k a year. So, I was talking to guys that were making way more money than me. Some of them were making millions a year and I had to speak to them the way I'm speaking to that prospect on this call. How could I do that? Because I started doing the internal mastery things. Second part to that guys is you could be a dustpin sweeper. You could be someone that just sweeps the roads and you can actually speak to a guy that makes multiple millions more than you. Multiple millions a year in the same way I spoke to that prospect on the call. If you
Realize that you're not actually talking from a place of gravity about yourself and your accomplishments; you're only talking with gravity about the truth of the prospect's situation. Meaning, all you're doing is shining a light, shining a torch on the reality. You could be a dustbin sweeper holding a torch to shine that light. Doesn't matter. It doesn't matter who you are, where you've come from, what your level of accomplishments are, so long as you're actually getting to the truth.
That dustbin sweeper that knows how to have a deep conversation, but has never made any money, but can speak to a business owner, and the business owner like that. There could be someone on the streets that walks past the dustbin sweeper, starts talking to them, and this is a multi-millionaire business owner that is obese. And the dustbin sweeper could get into a conversation, and the business owner that's really rich but really fat says something like, "Oh yeah, you know, it's really really hard to lose weight." And the dustbin sweeper could just be like, "How so?" Well, this, that, and the other. And the dustbin sweeper just starts challenging the multi-millionaire business owner on the [ __ ] stories, rationalizations, excuses, and lies that he's telling himself. So long as the dustbin sweeper is doing that from a place of care, not a place of ego or a place of arrogance or a place of pride and focuses on digging into the data and getting to the truth. That dustbin sweeper that on a traditional hierarchy is down here could actually talk to a multi-millionaire business owner that in traditional matrix terms is way above him and actually get on the same level. Does that make sense, guys?
So, don't be watching this and thinking, "Oh, well, Josh only talks like that because he's already made 100K a month." No, guys. You have to realize it's chicken and egg. The other stuff comes first. You only make that amount of money when you realize if I show up as the person that is having a truthful conversation, even though I'm currently poor, I can actually have that gravity in my voice. Does that make sense? Which also proves the power of the spiritual over the material side of things, right? 100%. 100%. All right. Awesome stuff.
All right, guys. I think that is everybody. If somebody does have something to somebody does have something they want to add, put your hand up right now before we wrap up. My last thing would be I was going to ask you for your final takeaways anyway.
Okay. Gotcha. Um I have been a prospect on a lot of role-plays, stuff like that, and I have never felt leadership and and that I had the feeling of like I wanted to like just say something just to like throw you off or like I just couldn't even do it. Just the level of leadership that energy just had me just like trapped into opening up, be honest about everything, tell the truth. I went through leadership as a feeling, certainty which I expressed a couple of times, and then just ready to take action like just based on our conversation I went through those feelings and actually felt those, which was phenomenal. So yeah, beautiful guys. You got to make your prospects feel the feelings, not just answer the questions.
And if you ask the right questions in the right way, they will make the prospect feel the different feelings that you need to take them through. It's changing their feelings and changing their state just like we do. That's what makes them buy. It's not that they've just given you the data for the data's sake. They have to give you the data, and you have to be extracting data that as you pull the data, it changes their emotions. Don't just gather data to gather data. The reason we ask someone, "How much money did you make in your ecom store last month?" is not so they tell us 2,000. It's so that when they say 2,000, they're like, "Oh [ __ ] that was that was terrible. Like I didn't I didn't make any money." They feel bad. They feel the shame. They feel the guilt. They feel the failure. They feel the anxiety. You ask the questions to get the information. And on the top level, the information you get is words. But underneath the words, the information you're eliciting is emotions. And you need to get the words that connect with the emotions as you go along the discovery. And you're changing the data you're gathering to change the emotions that you're getting. I would have never closed this guy if he didn't get into the emotion of shame and feeling bad about the fact he has been not taking this seriously. I have to get him into the guilt and the shame. If he's willing to, some people just don't want to go there. Fine. Then I'm trying to get the data to get you to feel an emotion. You don't want to go there. I know that you need to go there to be successful, to enroll, to buy, and to be successful. If you don't want to go there, can't do anything about it. Most of the time though, especially on an inbound sale, people will get into the emotions you need them to get into if you ask the right questions from the right intention.
Okay. All right, folks. We'll be back again tomorrow. Have a good rest of your day, guys. Later.
Thanks. Thanks, sir. You're welcome. Bye. I don't think I need to do an outro. You've seen, you've felt, you've experienced what allowed me to make $100,000 a month in commissions. What allowed me to go on to train Alex or Mosy's old gym launch sales team? What's allowed me to train some of the top sales teams in the industry? If you want to have the ability to do what I just did, you need real leadership. You don't need a training course. Heck, you don't need to. You'll never get there if you're not in any type of training. But being in no training or being in a training course is not going to get you to the level that I just demonstrated. You need leadership, which is mentorship, which is a community, and which is the right training; training to become a leader. How to communicate like a leader. How to have the internal mastery of a leader. Not just how to learn sales with memorized lines, scripts, and tonality or objection handling training. You need to learn to become the person that can communicate the way I just demonstrated.
If you saw that and you thought, "Fuck, I need to have some of that. I need to be able to be that person so I can make the money that I want to make." The first thing that you need to do is show up as a leader. How soon is a leader going to make that decision to enroll in the mastermind to get access to the training, support, community, and mentorship that will allow you to be able to show up like that? They're going to enroll immediately. Not going to go, "Oh, well, you know, I'm just watching a YouTube video. I got to take a sales call and do something else and cook my lunch or whatever." No, you'll be watching this video. You'll see the link below this video, and you'll click that link. You'll go through and you'll process the enrollment right now. If you want to be able to be a leader and get leadership training first, you need to show up as a leader. So, if you want to actually be able to make the money that I made, $100,000 a month in commissions, live the life of your dreams, and actually be able to help people the way I was showing on a role-play call that you're truly impacting the world on such a deep level that has so much fulfillment, you need to click the link below this video. You need to go to the unicorncloer.com site and enroll in the mastermind right now. Show up as a leader if you actually want to be a leader. By being a leader, being responsible, money follows that responsibility, and you'll be able to make more money and live the life that you want to live. I'll see you if you are a leader, if you're ready to be a leader on the inside.
