Well, praise God forevermore. Amen. Let's open our Bibles tonight. I want you to turn with me to the book of Romans, chapter 10, verse 10. Let's read it.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Now say that with me out loud. With the heart man believeth, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Hallelujah.
Do you see it? It takes two things. Believing with the heart, confessing with the mouth. Faith is not just believing. Faith is believing and saying, "Amen." Now, most people stop right there. They say, "Well, I believe. I believe." Yes, but the Bible says with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. You believe in your heart, that's one hand. You confess with your mouth, that's the other hand. And when you bring the two together, glory to God, you've got a miracle.
Now, I want you to notice this. The word salvation there is not just forgiveness of sins. The Greek word is sotaria. It means deliverance, healing, preservation, safety, soundness, wholeness. Glory to God. That means salvation for your spirit, salvation for your body, salvation for your mind. That means healing belongs right here in this verse.
Let's go over to Mark 11:23-24. These are the words of the Lord Jesus himself. He said, "For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith."
Now, how many times does he use the word say in that verse? Three times. And how many times does he use the word believe? One time. The Lord Jesus emphasized the saying three times more than the believing. Why? Because most Christians are believers. They believe the Bible but they are not sayers. Amen. That's why he said he shall have whatsoever he saith. Not what he wishes, not what he hopes, not what he thinks, but what he says. Glory to God.
And that's where many of God's children miss it. They're believing in their heart, but their mouth is working against their faith. They pray for healing, but then they say, "Well, I don't think I'm going to make it. Looks like it's getting worse." No, you just dug up your seed. You prayed the prayer of faith. Then you canceled it with your confession of doubt.
The Bible says in Proverbs 18:21, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." You are eating today what you said yesterday. You'll be living tomorrow what you're saying today. Amen. And that's why the spirit of God has dealt with me to preach this message.
19 confessions that will shock you why most believers never receive their healing. Because many are waiting for God to do something. They're waiting for the preacher to do something. They're waiting for the prayer line to do something. But God is waiting for you to do something. He's waiting for you to confess what he already said in his word.
Let me tell you something tonight. You can't rise above your confession. You cannot walk in victory beyond the words of your mouth. You cannot talk sickness and walk in health. You cannot talk defeat and walk in victory. You cannot talk poverty and walk in prosperity. Amen.
So, we're going to learn together from the word of God how to align our mouth with our heart and how to align both with God's word because the Bible says in the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. 2 Corinthians 13:1. Well, tonight we'll look at more than two or three. We'll look at 19 powerful confessions of the word of God. And if you'll put these in your mouth and keep them there, it will revolutionize your life.
But before we go there, let's settle this. Salvation comes by believing and confessing. Healing comes the same way. Deliverance comes the same way. Victory comes the same way. You don't receive it by crying. You don't receive it by begging. You don't receive it by complaining. You receive it by believing and confessing God's word.
Say this with me right now. I believe God's word. I confess God's word. Therefore, I receive what God says. Hallelujah.
Now, we are ready to move into these 19 confessions. Each one will shock you, stir you, and build faith into your spirit. And as you put them into your mouth, healing will manifest. Because confession always brings possession.
Turn in your Bible to 2 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 21. Let's read it together. For he hath made him to be sin for us who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Say that out loud with me. I am the righteousness of God in Christ. Say it again. I am the righteousness of God in Christ. Now shout it one more time till the devil hears it. I am the righteousness of God in Christ. Hallelujah.
Now, what does that mean? That means that you are right with God. Not because of what you did, not because of what you earned, but because of what Jesus did. Amen. You see, many Christians cannot receive their healing because they still see themselves as unworthy. They say, "Well, I'm just an old sinner saved by grace." No, you were a sinner. You got saved by grace, and now the Bible says you are the righteousness of God in him. Amen.
If you keep calling yourself a sinner, you'll approach God like a beggar. And beggars don't receive healing. But sons do, children do, the righteous do. Glory to God. The Bible says in Hebrews 4:16, "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Notice it didn't say come crawling in. It didn't say come whining in. It didn't say come begging in. It said come boldly in. Why? Because you are the righteousness of God in Christ.
Now think about this. Righteousness means the ability to stand in the presence of God without fear, without condemnation, without guilt, without shame. Oh hallelujah. If you know you are righteous, then you won't be afraid to take healing. You won't be afraid to take prosperity. You won't be afraid to take victory. You won't be afraid to rebuke the devil and tell him where to go.
Now, let's connect this to healing. James 5:16 says, "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." Are you righteous? Yes, you are in Christ. So, your prayer avails much. Amen. That means your healing prayer avails much.
I remember years ago, right after I was raised up from that deathbed of sickness and disease, the devil whispered to me one night, "You're not worthy to be healed. You're not good enough to receive healing." Well, I grabbed my Bible and turned to 2 Corinthians 5:21 and I said, "Mr. Devil, Jesus was made sin for me that I might be made the righteousness of God in him. I am not standing on my worthiness. I am standing on his righteousness." And that makes me just as welcome in the throne room as Jesus himself. And when I said that, oh, praise God, the power of God hit me and drove every symptom away.
Now, folks, hear me tonight. If you don't see yourself righteous, you'll never see yourself healed. Because the same blood that forgave your sins is the blood that healed your body. Amen. If you're righteous, then healing is your inheritance. If you're righteous, then victory is your right. If you're righteous, then you can take it boldly.
Let's make this confession together strong and bold. I am the righteousness of God in Christ. I come boldly to the throne of grace. I am not a beggar. I am a son. I am not a sinner. I am the righteousness of God because I am righteous. Healing belongs to me now. Hallelujah. Glory to God.
Now, we're building a foundation. Confession number one tears down guilt, tears down shame, tears down condemnation, and opens a door for bold faith. And when you stand righteous before God, you can stand fearless before sickness, fearless before demons, fearless before the devil himself. Amen.
Now, let's go to 1 Peter chapter 2 verse 24. Read it with me. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness. By whose stripes ye were healed.
Say it out loud. By whose stripes ye were healed. Say it again. By whose stripes ye were healed. One more time like you mean it. Shout it. By whose stripes you were healed. Glory to God.
Now notice the wording. Peter did not say by whose stripes you will be healed someday. He did not say by whose stripes you might be healed if you pray long enough. He did not say by whose stripes you will be healed if you suffer enough. No, he said by whose stripes you were healed. Past tense. Already done, already accomplished, already finished.
Now somebody says, "But brother Hagen, if I were healed, how come I still feel sick?" Well, the same Bible says, "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree." Do you believe that? Do you believe your sins are forgiven? Do you always feel forgiven? No, you don't. But you accept forgiveness by faith, not by feelings. Amen. Healing is the same way. Forgiveness was provided at the cross. Healing was provided at the cross. Both were purchased by the same blood. Both were provided by the same sacrifice. Glory to God.
If you can believe you are forgiven without feelings, you can believe you are healed without feeling. Now, let me give you three witnesses. Isaiah 53:4-5, it says, "Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows." The Hebrew words there are literally sicknesses and pain. "With his stripes we are healed." Then Matthew 8:17 says that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. And then Peter looking back at the cross said, "By whose stripes ye were healed." Isaiah said we are. Matthew said he took. Peter said we were. Past, present, future all covered. Hallelujah.
That means healing is not a promise. Healing is a fact. Healing is not something you're waiting on. Healing is something that was done 2,000 years ago at the whipping post. Amen.
I remember one time down in South Texas many years ago, I was preaching on this very verse. A woman came forward for prayer, paralyzed on one side of her body, couldn't move her arm, couldn't move her leg. I said, "Sister, do you believe the Bible?" She said, "Yes." I said, "Read this verse out loud." She read it. "By whose stripes ye were healed?" I said, "Now, if you were healed, then what are you?" She thought for a moment and then tears rolled down her cheeks and she said, "I am healed." The moment she said it, the power of God hit her. She jumped out of that wheelchair and walked across the front of the church shouting, "Hallelujah."
Now, folks, it wasn't me, wasn't my prayer. It was the word of God in her mouth. She lined up her confession with the word, and the power of God made it real in her body. So, say it with me again. By his stripes I was healed. Say it again. By his stripes I was healed. Now say it this way. If I was healed, then I am healed. And if I am healed, then I is healed right now. Glory to God.
Healing does not come by trying. Healing does not come by struggling. Healing does not come by begging. Healing comes by believing and confessing. When you confess what God says, it becomes real to you. So tonight, don't confess what you feel. Don't confess what the doctor said. Don't confess what the devil said. Confess what God said. And God said, "By his stripes, ye were healed."
Now, let's make our confession together, bold and strong. Jesus bore my sickness. Jesus carried my pain. By his stripes, I was healed. If I was healed, then I am healed right now. Glory to God. That's confession number two. Every time you declare it, you are enforcing the victory of Calvary in your body. Every time you say it, the devil trembles because he cannot undo what Jesus already did. Hallelujah.
Now, let's go to Romans chapter 8 verse 2. Says, "For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death."
Say that out loud. The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. Hallelujah. Say it again and say it like you believe it. Glory to God.
Now notice this. Paul did not say the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus will make me free someday in the sweet by and by. He did not say I'm hoping and praying that it might make me free. No, he said hath made me free. Past tense, already done, already accomplished, already finished.
Now, think with me for a moment. Paul is comparing two laws here. The law of sin and death and the law of the spirit of life. What is a law? A law is something that works the same every time. Just like the law of gravity. Drop a book in Tulsa, Oklahoma, it falls. Drop a book in Houston, Texas, it falls. Drop a book in London, England, it falls. Gravity is a law. Amen.
Now the law of sin and death says the wages of sin is death. That law has been working since Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden. It brought sickness. It brought disease. It brought weakness. It brought poverty. It brought fear. It brought death. That's the law of sin and death. And it works the same every time.
But glory to God, there is a higher law. The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus. Just like the law of aerodynamics is higher than the law of gravity. So the law of the spirit of life is higher than the law of sin and death. An airplane defies gravity, not because gravity's gone, but because a higher law is at work. Amen. In the same way sickness and death are still in the world. But when the law of the spirit of life goes into operation in you, it lifts you above sickness, above fear, above death, above bondage. Glory to God.
When you were born again, that law of life was put into you. Eternal life came inside you. Not just everlasting existence, but the very life of God himself. John 10:10 says, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." That life is in you right now. That life is working in your spirit right now. And that life can flow into your body and drive out sickness and disease.
I remember years ago after I was healed as a young boy, the devil came back one night and tried to put those same heart symptoms on me again. My chest grew tight. My pulse raced. The devil said, "This is it. You're going to die this time." Well, I didn't argue with him. I didn't beg God. I just lifted my Bible and said, "Devil, Romans 8:2 says, 'The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.' I am free. I am free. I am free." I said it again and again and after a few minutes every symptom vanished. Hallelujah.
Now hear me tonight. When the devil tries to put sickness on you, don't say, "I hope I get free someday." Don't say, "One of these days, God will deliver me." Say, "I am free now. The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free."
Say it with me right now. The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free. I am free from the law of sin and death. I am free from sickness. I am free from fear. I am free from bondage. I am free from the curse. Glory to God. That's confession number three. And if you'll keep it in your mouth, it will lift you above sickness just like the wings of a plane lifted above the pull of gravity. Amen. The law of life always triumphs over the law of death.
Now turn just a few verses down to Romans 8:11. Let's read it together. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Say that with me. The Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in me. Say it again. The Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in me. And now shout this out loud. That Spirit is quickening my body right now. Glory to God forevermore.
Now think about it. What kind of power did it take to raise Jesus from the dead? Ephesians 1:19 calls it "the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power." That is the greatest display of God's power this universe has ever seen. Greater than when he created the stars. Greater than when he split the Red Sea. Greater than when he rained down manna. Resurrection power.
And Paul says that same Spirit, that same power dwells in you. Not just visits you. Not just touches you. Not just passes by in a revival service. No, he dwells in you. That means he lives there. That means he makes his home there. That means he abides there. And what does he do? He quickens. That word quicken means to make alive. He makes alive your mortal body. Not just someday in the resurrection. Not just when Jesus comes, but right now. This verse is not talking about your glorified body. It says your mortal body. That means this body you're sitting in right now. That means these bones, this blood, these muscles, this heart, these lungs, that same Spirit is making your body alive.
You don't need to beg God for healing. Healing power is already inside you. The healer lives in you. The Spirit that raised Christ from the dead is inside you right now. And he is releasing life into every cell, every organ, every system. Glory to God.
I remember a lady in one of my meetings who came forward diagnosed with cancer. The doctors had given her no hope. I read this very verse to her. I said, "Do you believe the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you?" She said, "Yes." Yes. I said, "Do you believe that Spirit is greater than cancer?" She said, "Yes." I said, "Then put your hand on yourself and say, 'That Spirit is quickening my body right now.'" She said it. She said it again. She said it louder. And as she said it, the power of God came upon her. And a few weeks later, she had the doctor's report cancer-free. Hallelujah.
Now, I didn't heal her. My hands didn't heal her. Her words didn't even heal her. It was the Spirit of God inside her. And she released him with her confession of faith. Amen.
Say this after me tonight. The Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in me. That Spirit is greater than sickness. That Spirit is greater than pain. That Spirit is greater than weakness. That Spirit is quickening my mortal body right now. Glory. That means you don't have to live weak. That means you don't have to live sick. That means you don't have to live defeated. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you and he is releasing life, health, and healing in you this very moment. Amen.
Now turn with me to Proverbs 4:20-22. Let's read it carefully. My son, attend unto my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
Say this out loud. God's word is life to me. God's word is health to me. God's word is medicine to all my flesh. Hallelujah.
Now, I like one translation that says they are medicine to all their flesh. Did you hear that? God's word is medicine just as real as any pill, any prescription, any doctor's shot. God's word is medicine and it works without side effects. Amen.
Now, how do you take medicine? You take it regularly. You take it according to directions. You don't just set the bottle on the shelf and say, "Well, I've got some medicine. I guess I'll be all right." No, you have to take it. You have to get it inside you. The same with the word of God. Just having a Bible on the coffee table won't heal you. Just hearing the preacher preach on Sunday morning won't heal you. You have to take it. How? Attend to it. Incline your ear, keep it before your eyes, get it in your heart, speak it out of your mouth. That's how you swallow the word. That's how you digest the word. That's how the medicine gets into your system.
Now, notice it says health to all their flesh. Not part of your flesh, not just your head, not just your chest, not just your knees, all your flesh. That means God's word will heal your blood. God's word will heal your bones. God's word will heal your skin. God's word will heal your eyes. God's word will heal your ears. God's word will heal your organs. Hallelujah.
I remember a man in one of my meetings who had tuberculosis. He looked like skin and bones. Couldn't even work. Doctors gave him no hope. But he got a hold of this scripture. He said, "If God's word is medicine, I'll take it like medicine." So he set himself a schedule. Three times a day, morning, noon, and night, he got out his Bible, read healing scriptures, and confessed them out loud. "God's word is medicine to all my flesh. By his stripes, I was healed." That was his dose. He took it faithfully. After a few weeks, he began to improve. After a few months, the TB was completely gone. Hallelujah. The word healed him.
Now, don't misunderstand me. Thank God for doctors. Thank God for medicine. But don't put all your trust in them. Put your trust in God's word. It is the best medicine and it always works.
Say this with me right now. God's word is life to me. God's word is health to me. God's word is medicine to all my flesh. I take my medicine daily. The word of God is working mightily in me right now. Glory to God. That's confession number five. If you'll take your dose of the word every day, it will drive out sickness and produce health. Amen.
Now, let's turn to James 4:7. The word of God says, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
Say it with me. I resist the devil and he flees from me. Say it again. I resist the devil and he flees from me. One more time loud enough to shake the rafters. I resist the devil and he flees from me. Glory to God.
Now notice something. James did not say pray that God will resist the devil for you. He did not say ask the pastor to resist the devil for you. He did not even say wait until you feel strong enough. No, he said you resist the devil and when you do, he will flee from you. Not maybe, not sometimes, not if it's God's will. He will flee from you.
Now, sickness and disease are not from God. The Bible calls sickness oppression of the devil. Acts 10:38 says, "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." If Jesus calls sickness oppression of the devil, then I'm going to call it the same thing. And if it's of the devil, then you have authority over it in Jesus' name. Amen.
So, how do you resist the devil? With a word in your mouth, just like Jesus did in the wilderness. Every time the devil tempted him, he said, "It is written." And the devil had to back off. If Jesus resisted the devil with the word, so can you.
I remember one night, years after I was healed, the devil tried to put those old symptoms back on me again. My chest hurt. My pulse raced. The devil whispered, "This time you won't make it." Well, I didn't get scared. I didn't call the doctor. I didn't cry. I just pulled the covers over my head and laughed out loud. Haha. Then I said, "Devil, you're a liar. James 4:7 says, 'I resist the devil and he flees from me.' That means you're fleeing right now. Gather up your symptoms and get out of here." And glory to God, in just a few minutes, every symptom disappeared. Hallelujah.
Now, hear me. You don't get healed by putting up with the devil. You get healed by resisting it. If you tolerate sickness, you'll have it. If you resist it, it will flee. You don't negotiate with the devil. You don't beg the devil, you don't cry to the devil, you resist him in Jesus' name, and he must flee.
Let's make this confession strong together. I submit myself to God. I resist the devil. I resist sickness. I resist pain. I resist fear. And the devil flees from me in Jesus' name. Glory to God. That's confession number six. And if you'll keep it in your mouth, the devil won't be able to hang around your house, your body, or your family. He will flee every single time. Amen.
Now let's open our Bibles to Galatians 3:13. It says, "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree."
Say this with me. Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. Say it again. Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. Now make it personal. I am redeemed from the curse of the law. Hallelujah.
Now notice again, Paul didn't say Christ will redeem us someday. He didn't say we hope to be redeemed. He said Christ hath redeemed us. Past tense. Already done. Already accomplished. Already finished. Glory to God.
Well, what is the curse of the law? The curse of the law is found in Deuteronomy chapter 28 from verse 15 all the way to 68. You'll find all the curses. And what are they? Three main categories. Spiritual death, sickness and disease, poverty and lack. That's the curse. But Galatians 3:13 says, "Christ has redeemed you from it. He redeemed you from sin. He redeemed you from sickness. He redeemed you from poverty." Hallelujah.
Now, let's read Deuteronomy 28:61. It says, "Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the Lord bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed." Now, don't misunderstand. God was not the author of sickness. He was showing Israel the penalty of disobedience. But here's the good news. Every sickness, every disease, even the ones not written down, are part of the curse. And Galatians 3:13 says, "Christ has redeemed you from the curse." That means you're redeemed from every sickness, named or unnamed, diagnosed or undiagnosed. Glory to God.
I remember a man in one of my healing services. He had been diagnosed with a rare disease the doctors didn't even have a name for. They said, "We've never seen anything like it. We don't know what to do." But when I showed him Galatians 3:13, he lit up. He said, "If Christ redeemed me from every sickness written and not written, then I'm redeemed from this one, too." He started confessing it every day. "Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. This sickness is a curse and I am redeemed from it." In a matter of weeks, every symptom disappeared. And the doctor said, "We don't understand it." But we understood it was redemption at work.
So stop saying "I'm cursed with this disease." Start saying "I am redeemed." Stop saying "It runs in my family." Start saying, "I am redeemed from the family curse." Stop saying, "I guess this is my cross to bear." No. Jesus bore the cross for you, and he redeemed you from the curse.
Say this boldly right now. Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. I am redeemed from spiritual death. I am redeemed from sickness and disease. I am redeemed from poverty and lack. I am blessed with Abraham's blessing. Glory to God. That's confession number seven. When you confess your redemption, you enforce it. The curse has no legal right to stay on a redeemed child of God. Hallelujah.
Now turn with me to Exodus chapter 15:26. The word of God says, "If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee."
Now listen carefully. The Hebrew there literally reads, "I am Jehovah Rapha." That is one of God's covenant names. It means, "I am the Lord your physician." Or, "I am the Lord your healer." Amen.
Say it with me. The Lord is my healer. Say it again. The Lord is my healer. Now, say it with boldness. Jesus is my doctor. Allelujah.
Now, notice this. God didn't say, "I used to be the healer." He didn't say, "Someday I will be the healer again." No, he said, "I am the Lord that healeth thee." Present tense, right now. Always true. Never changes. Malachi 3:6 says, "For I am the Lord, I change not." If he was the healer then, he's the healer now. If he healed in the Old Testament, he heals in the New Testament. If he healed 2,000 years ago, he heals today. Glory to God.
Some people say, "Well, I believe God can heal, but I don't know if he will." But that's not what he said. He said, "I am the Lord that healeth thee," not "I might," not "I hope so." "I am." He declared it as part of his name. And he never changes his name. When you call him Jehovah Rapha, you are calling on his covenant character. That's who he is. Just as much as he is Jehovah Jireh, the provider. Just as much as he is Jehovah Shalom, the peace. Just as much as he is Jehovah Tsidkenu, the righteousness, he is Jehovah Rapha, the healer.
I remember years ago a woman came to one of my healing lines. She said, "Brother Hagen, I believe God heals, but I don't know if he will heal me." I opened my Bible to Exodus 15:26 and said, "Read that." She read, "I am the Lord that healeth thee." I said, "Who is he talking to?" She said, "Israel." I said, "And if he revealed himself as Jehovah Rapha then, and he never changes, who is he to you?" She looked up with tears and said, "He is my healer." I said, "Say it." She said, "He is my healer." Then she shouted, "He is my healer." And when she said it, her body straightened, pain left, and she walked away completely healed. Glory to God.
Church, your confession determines your possession. Don't call him the God who makes you sick. Don't call him the God who teaches you with disease. Call him what he calls himself. The Lord your healer.
Say this boldly with me. The Lord is my healer. The Lord is my physician. The Lord is the strength of my life. Jesus is my doctor and he never loses a case. Healing is mine because the healer is mine. Glory to God. That's confession number eight. When you know the healer lives in you, you won't question whether you'll be healed. You'll walk in it every day of your life. >> Hallelujah.
Now, open your Bible to James chapter 5:15. The word says, "And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him."
Say it out loud with me. "The prayer of faith shall save the sick." Say it again. The prayer of faith shall save the sick. Now, make it personal. The prayer of faith saves me and the Lord raises me up. Hallelujah.
Now, notice something. James did not say the prayer of begging shall save the sick. He did not say the prayer of doubt shall save the sick. He did not say the prayer of "hope so" shall save the sick. No, he said the prayer of faith shall save the sick. And faith is believing you receive when you pray. Mark 11:24 says, "What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." That's faith prayer. Faith doesn't wait until it sees. Faith believes it receives the moment it prays. Amen.
So when you pray for healing, don't get up saying, "I sure hope something happens." Get up saying, "It's done. I've got it. The prayer of faith has saved me, and the Lord is raising me up."
Now, let's tie this with forgiveness. James 5:15 says, "And if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him." Healing and forgiveness are twins. The same blood that forgives you heals you. The same cross that carried your sin carried your sickness. So if you can believe God forgave your sin, you can believe he healed your body.
I remember many years ago I was holding a meeting down in East Texas. Woman came forward in the healing line. She was bedfast most of the time, racked with arthritis. I said to her, "Do you believe James 5:15?" She said, "Yes, I do." I said, "What does it say?" She read it out loud. "The prayer of faith shall save the sick and the Lord shall raise him up." I said, "Do you believe that?" She said, "Yes." I said, "Then pray the prayer of faith with me right now." She prayed, "Lord, I believe I receive my healing." Then I said, "Now act like it's done." She got up slowly, moving stiff joints, but each step looser, freer, stronger. In a few minutes, she was walking back and forth, completely healed. Why? The prayer of faith saved her, and the Lord raised her up. Hallelujah.
Now, hear me carefully. It's not the prayer of feeling. It's not the prayer of hope. It's not the prayer of fear. It's the prayer of faith. Faith is bold. Faith speaks. Faith acts. Faith takes. And when faith prays, the sick are healed. And the Lord raises them up.
Say this out loud with me right now. The prayer of faith saves me. The Lord is raising me up. I believe I receive my healing now. I take it. I have it. It's mine in Jesus' name. Glory to God. That's confession number nine. When you pray in faith, you don't leave wondering if God heard you. You leave knowing it's yours. You leave knowing the Lord is raising you up. Amen.
Now turn with me to Mark 5:36. Jesus said to Jairus, "Be not afraid. Only believe."
Say that with me. I fear not. I believe only. Say it again. I fear not. I believe only. Now say it loud and bold like you're talking to the devil himself. I fear not. I believe only. Hallelujah.
Now, let's look at the story. Jairus came to Jesus because his daughter was dying. On the way to Jairus's house, a messenger came and said, "Your daughter is dead. Don't trouble the master any further." That was bad news. That was enough to make any parent collapse. But Jesus turned immediately and said, "Be not afraid. Only believe."
Now, notice this. Jesus didn't say, "Try to believe." He didn't say, "Work up some faith." He said "only believe." In other words, don't let fear in. Fear tolerated is faith contaminated. Amen. Fear and faith cannot live in the same heart at the same time. Fear opens the door to sickness. Faith opens the door to healing. Fear says "I can't make it." Faith says "I can do all things through Christ." Fear says "I'm going to die." Faith says "I will live and not die and declare the works of the Lord." Fear says "The pain is getting worse." Faith says, "By his stripes, I was healed." Hallelujah.
Now, let me tell you something. The devil will always try to feed you fear. He will send bad reports. He will whisper dark thoughts. He will remind you of symptoms. But your job is to answer back with faith. Just like Jesus answered the messenger, you've got to answer the devil, "I fear not. I believe only."
I remember many years ago, I had all the symptoms of a serious relapse in my body. The devil said, "This is it. You're not going to make it this time." Fear tried to grip me. But I remembered Mark 5:36. I said, "No, devil. I refuse to fear. I believe only." I said it again. I said it all night long if I had to. And glory to God, the symptoms left and I walk free.
You see, fear will paralyze your faith, but faith will paralyze your fear. And you are the one who decides which one gets the upper hand. You can't stop fear from knocking at your door. But you don't have to let it in. Answer the door with faith. Answer the report with the word. Answer the thought with the promise. Amen.
Let's make this confession strong together. I fear not. I believe only. I refuse to fear sickness. I refuse to fear death. I refuse to fear poverty. I believe the word of God only. Glory to God. That's confession number 10. When you refuse fear and choose faith, nothing the devil says can shake you. Amen.
Now, let's turn to 1 John 4:4. The word of God says, "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world."
Say it with me. Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. Say it again. Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. Now point to yourself and shout it. The greater one lives in me. Glory to God.
Now notice something. John did not say greater is he that is in heaven. He did not say greater is he that is in the preacher. He did not say greater is he that is in the church building. No. He said greater is he that is in you. That means the greater one lives in you right now. Not someday. Not if you feel it. Not if you're in a revival meeting. He lives in you.
Now, who is this greater one? The Holy Spirit. The same Spirit that hovered over the waters in Genesis. The same Spirit that parted the Red Sea. The same Spirit that anointed Jesus to heal the sick and cast out devils. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead. That greater one is living inside you. Hallelujah.
That means no sickness is greater than the greater one. No demon is greater than the greater one. No problem is greater than the greater one. No curse is greater than the greater one. Amen.
I remember one time I was ministering in a meeting where a woman was tormented by fear and sickness. She kept saying, "The devil is so strong. The devil is so big." I said, "Sister, stop magnifying the devil. Start magnifying the greater one." I opened my Bible to 1 John 4:4 and said, "Read it." She read, "Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world." I said, "Who's in you?" She said, "Jesus by the Spirit." I said, "Is he greater than the devil?" She said, "Yes." I said, "Then say it." She started to say it, timid at first, then stronger, then shouting, "Greater is he that is in me." As she confessed it, the power of God fell, fear broke, sickness left, and she was completely free. Hallelujah.
Now listen. Healing comes when you know the greater one is in you. Victory comes when you know the greater one is in you. Boldness comes when you know the greater one is in you. You are not fighting for victory. You are fighting from victory. Because the greater one is living inside of you.
Say this strong with me right now. The greater one lives in me. The greater one is greater than sickness. The greater one is greater than pain. The greater one is greater than fear. The greater one is greater than the devil. I have already overcome because the greater one lives in me. Glory to God. That's confession number 11. When you walk with the awareness that the greater one is in you, you will never again say, "I can't." You will always say, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Amen.
Turn with me now to Psalm 27:1. The word says, "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"
Say this with me. The Lord is the strength of my life. Say it again. The Lord is the strength of my life. Now, let's make it personal. The Lord is my light, my salvation, and the strength of my life. Hallelujah.
Now, notice this. David didn't say, "The Lord was my strength when I was young." He didn't say, "The Lord might be my strength someday." He said, "The Lord is the strength of my life." Present tense, ongoing, continuous. Glory to God.
That means your strength does not come from vitamins. Your strength does not come from exercise alone. Your strength does not come from willpower. Your strength comes from the Lord himself. He is the strength of your life. That means when you feel weak, he is strong in you. When you feel tired, his energy is in you. When you feel like giving up, his life lifts you up. Isaiah 40:29 says, "He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might he increaseth strength." Verse 31 says, "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." Glory to God. That's your portion. That's your inheritance. That's your confession.
Now, let me share this with you. I remember in the early days of my ministry, I would preach three times a day, hold healing lines, lay hands on hundreds of people, and my body would feel worn out. But I learned to confess, "The Lord is the strength of my life." And as I said it, strength would flow into me. Many nights I went into a meeting tired in my body. But after declaring the word, I left refreshed, strong, energized because his strength was flowing in me. And I've seen it work for others. A dear sister came to me once, frail and weak, her body worn down from disease. I said, "Sister, start confessing Psalm 27:1." She began to say it daily. "The Lord is the strength of my life." At first she whispered it, then she said it louder, then she shouted it. And the more she said it, the stronger she became until her whole body was renewed with divine energy. She lived years longer, strong and vibrant, because the Lord became her strength.
So don't say "I'm weak." Don't say "I can't go on." Don't say "I'm finished." Say "The Lord is the strength of my life." And as you say it, strength will rise up in you. Healing will manifest in you. Energy will flow in you.
Say it with me right now. The Lord is my light. The Lord is my salvation. The Lord is the strength of my life. I will not fear. I will not faint. I will not fail. I am strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Glory to God. That's confession number 12. When you declare him as your strength, his strength becomes your strength. His life becomes your life. And his power flows in you every day. Hallelujah.
Now, open your Bible to Psalm 118:17. The word says, "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord."
Say that with me. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Say it again. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Now make it bold and personal. I will live and not die. I will live to tell of the goodness of God. Hallelujah.
Now, notice this. The psalmist did not say "I hope I won't die." He didn't say "Maybe I'll live." He said it as a declaration of faith. "I shall not die, but live." That's a faith confession. That's taking sides with God's word in the face of the enemy. The devil is the author of fear and death. John 10:10 says, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." So when the devil says, "You're not going to make it. You're going to die young. You're going to die sick." You answer him with Psalm 118:17. "I will not die. I will live. I will declare the works of the Lord."
I remember back when I was just a teenage boy, bedfast with that incurable heart disease. The doctor said I wouldn't live past 16. I had three different medical conditions working against me. Everybody said I'd die young. But I found Psalm 118:17. I started saying it every day. "I will live and not die. I will live to declare the works of the Lord." And here I am, lived many decades, preached all over the world, declared the works of the Lord because God's word is greater than the word of men. Hallelujah. And I've seen it work in others. A man came to one of my crusades, given six months to live with cancer. I
gave him this verse. I said, "Confess it every day out loud, morning and night." He did. He said it when he felt weak. He said it when the pain was strong. He said it when he felt like giving up. And months later, he was still alive. Then years later, still alive, completely healed. Why? Because he declared, "I will live and not die."
Church, your words matter. Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue. If you keep talking death, you'll have death. If you keep talking life, you'll have life." So talk life, confess life, declare life, say, "I will live and not die." Say it with me right now. I shall not die but live. I will live and not die. I will declare the works of the Lord. I will live to finish my race. I will live to fulfill my destiny. I will live to glorify God in my body. Glory to God. That's confession number 13. When you say it, it puts a wall of life around you. It silences the fear of death. It drives back the enemy. And it opens the door for the abundant life of Jesus to flow in you. Amen.
Now turn with me to James 2:26. The word says, "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." Say that with me. Faith without works is dead. Say it again. Faith without works is dead. Now say it this way. Faith is an act. Hallelujah. You see, faith is not just believing silently in your heart. Faith is not just wishing. Faith is not just hoping. Faith is believing, speaking, and acting like God's word is true. Amen.
Now, let's tie this with Mark 11:23:24. Jesus said, "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore, I say unto you, what things soever ye desire when you pray, believe that you receive them, and ye shall have them." Notice this. You must believe you receive when you pray. Not after you feel it. Not after you see it. Not after the doctor confirms it. You believe you receive it when you pray. That's the act of faith.
I remember one night many years ago, the devil tried to bring back the same old heart symptoms I had when I was bedfast. Pain shot through my chest. Fear whispered in my mind. The devil said, "This is it. You're going to die tonight." Well, I didn't cry. I didn't beg. I didn't call for help. I pulled the covers over my head and started to laugh. Haha. Then I said, "Mr. Devil," one Peter 2:24 says, "By his stripes, ye were healed." I'm not trying to get healed. I'm not hoping to get healed. I am healed. Now, gather up your symptoms and get out of here. And glory to God, every symptom left. Why? Because faith is an act. Faith acts like the Bible is true. If the Bible says you're healed, then act like you're healed. If the Bible says you're strong, then act like you're strong. If the Bible says you're redeemed, then act like you're redeemed. Amen.
A dear woman once came into one of my healing lines. She had been paralyzed on one side for years. She said, "Brother Hagen, I believe God is going to heal me." I said, "No, sister. God is not going to heal you. He already did 2,000 years ago. Now act like it's so." She looked puzzled at first, but then she said, "All right, I'll act." She tried to move that paralyzed leg. At first it trembled, then it moved. Then she stood. Then she walked and she left that meeting completely healed. Why? Because faith is an act. So don't sit around waiting for a feeling. Don't wait for an angel to appear. Don't wait for goosebumps. Take the word, believe it, speak it, and act on it. Faith without action is dead. But faith with action brings results.
Say this with me. right now. Faith is an act. I act on the word of God. I believe. I receive when I pray. I am not waiting. I have it now. I act healed. I act strong. I act blessed because the word says it's mine. Glory to God. That's confession number 14. When you put action to your faith, heaven moves. The devil flees. And the power of God brings the word to pass in your life. Amen.
Now, let's turn to the Gospel of Mark 16:1 18. Jesus said, "They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover." Say it out loud with me. I lay hands on the sick and they recover. Say it again. I lay hands on the sick and they recover. Now point to yourself and say, "When I lay hands on the sick, they recover." Hallelujah. Now notice something. Jesus did not say they shall lay hands on the sick and they might recover. He did not say they shall lay hands on the sick and if it be God's will they will recover. No, he said they shall recover. That's a guarantee from the lips of Jesus Christ himself.
Now, here's the point. This promise was not just given to preachers. It was not just given to apostles. It was not just given to prophets. It was given to all believers. Mark 16:17 says, "These signs shall follow them that believe." Are you a believer? Then this sign belongs to you. You can lay hands on the sick in the name of Jesus and they shall recover. This also applies to your own body. I've often laid my hands on myself. Said in Jesus' name body receive healing. Why? Because Jesus said they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. If that works when I lay hands on others, it also works when I lay hands on me. Amen.
I remember one night while preaching a healing service, a mother brought her little boy forward. He had a high fever and looked weak. The mother was crying. I simply laid my hands on him and said, "In Jesus' name, be healed." Instantly the fever left. The boy looked up, smiled, and asked his mother for food. The whole congregation shouted, "Why?" Because Jesus promised it. They shall recover. Another time, I was on the road preaching, meeting after meeting, and my body grew tired. Symptoms of sickness tried to come on me. I put my own hands on my chest and said, "In Jesus name, I receive healing. I recover now." And glory to God, the strength of the Lord came into me and I finished the meeting strong. Hallelujah.
Now church, listen carefully. Healing power is not in your hands by themselves. Healing power flows through your hands because of his name and because of the Holy Ghost who dwells in you. The hands are just the point of contact. The power is of God. Amen. Let's make this confession bold together. I am a believer. These signs follow me. I lay hands on the sick and they recover. I lay hands on my body and I recover. I am a vessel of God's healing power. Glory to God. That's confession number 15. You don't have to wait for a special preacher. You don't have to wait for a healing line. You can act on Mark 16:18 right now and healing will flow because Jesus said they shall recover. Amen.
Now, let's go to the Gospel of Matthew chapter 8 verse1 17. The word says that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet saying himself took our infirmities and bear our sicknesses. Say this with me. Jesus took my infirmities. Say it again. Jesus took my infirmities. Now declare it boldly. If Jesus took them, I don't have to take them. >> Hallelujah.
Now notice carefully. The word does not say Jesus will take our infirmities someday. It does not say Jesus might take them if you pray hard enough. It says himself took our infirmities and bear our sicknesses. Past tense already done, already finished, already carried away. Glory to God. You see, when Jesus hung on that whipping post, he was not suffering for himself. He had no sickness. He had no infirmity. He was suffering for you and for me. Isaiah 53-4 says, "Surely he hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows." And as we've said before, the Hebrew words there mean sicknesses and pains. He bore them so you wouldn't have to.
Now, if Jesus already bore your sickness, then why should you bear it, too? That would be double jeopardy. He carried it so you could go free. He took it so you could walk healed. He bore it so you could live whole. Amen. Let me give you an example. If I came to your house and paid off your mortgage and the banker gave you a receipt stamp paid in full, but the next day you kept sending in payments, that wouldn't make sense. Why? Because the debt is already paid. In the same way Jesus paid the debt of your sickness. He took it. It's already marked. Paid in full. So why keep carrying it? Glory to God.
I remember preaching this very verse in a healing meeting. A man came forward with crippling arthritis. He could hardly walk. I said, "Brother, what does Matthew 8:17 say?" He read it himself took our infirmities and bear our sicknesses. I said, "Now, if he took yours, do you have to take them, too?" He said, "No, sir." I said, "Then what do you say?" He lifted his hands and said, "Jesus took my arthritis." The moment he said it, the power of God hit him and he began to run around the building healed. Hallelujah.
Now folks, healing comes when you agree with the word. Stop saying, "I've got this sickness. I've got this condition." Start saying, "Jesus took it and I don't have it anymore." Stop identifying with the disease. Start identifying with your redeemer. Say this with me right now. Jesus took my infirmities. Jesus bore my sicknesses. If he took them, I don't have them. I am free. I am healed. I am whole in Jesus name. Glory to God. That's confession number 16. Healing is not about what Jesus will do someday. Healing is about what he already did. And if he took it, then bless God, you don't have it anymore. Amen.
Now, let's open our Bibles to Isaiah 55-11. The word says, "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth. It shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." Say this with me. The word of God cannot fail. Say it again. The word of God cannot fail. Now make it personal. God's word in my mouth cannot fail. Hallelujah.
Now notice what God himself said. My word shall not return void. That means his word will not return empty. His word will not return powerless. His word will not return without results. His word always works. His word always produces. His word always accomplishes. When God speaks, creation happens. When God speaks, devils flee. When God speaks, sickness bows. When God speaks, miracles are released. And when you take his word in your mouth and speak it in faith, it has the same authority as if God himself said it. Why? Because you are his child speaking his word with his spirit backing it. Glory to God. Numbers 23:19 says, "God is not a man that he should lie, neither the son of man that he should repent. Hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" If God said it, he will do it. If God spoke it, he will make it good. Amen.
That means healing scriptures cannot fail. By his stripes ye were healed. That cannot fail. He sent his word and healed them. That cannot fail. The Lord is my healer. That cannot fail. If you'll believe it, say it, and act on it, it will come to pass because God's word cannot fail. I remember a man who came to one of my meetings. The doctors had given him no hope, terminal cancer. He looked me in the eye and said, "Brother Hagen, I'm standing on the word." I said, "What word are you standing on?" He said, "Isaiah 55-11. God said his word cannot return void, and I've been speaking one Peter 2:24, by his stripes, I was healed." He said, "I believe that word will not fail me." Months later, he wrote me a letter with the doctor's report, "No trace of cancer." He closed the letter by writing in big letters. The word works. Hallelujah.
Now, hear me carefully. Feelings may fail, symptoms may lie, people may fail, doctors may fail, but the word of God cannot fail. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but his word will never pass away. Let's make this confession strong together. The word of God cannot fail. God's word is working in me right now. Every promise is yes and amen in Christ. I stand on the word and I cannot be defeated. Heaven and earth may pass away, but God's word in my mouth cannot fail. Glory to God. That's confession number 17. When you build your faith on the unshakable, unfailing word of God, storms may come, winds may blow, but your house will stand because it's founded on the rock of the word. Amen.
Turn with me now to one Corinthians 6:19. The word says, "What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own?" Say it with me. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Say it again. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Now declare it boldly. Sickness cannot live in this temple. Hallelujah.
Now think about that for a moment. Your body is not a shack. Your body is not a dump. Your body is not a rental house for the devil. Your body is a temple, the dwelling place of the spirit of the living God. And if the Holy Ghost dwells in your body, then sickness has no legal right to stay there. You see, God never intended his temple to be defiled. In the Old Testament, the temple in Jerusalem was kept holy, cleansed, dedicated to God. Well, your body is now the temple. And if the priest wouldn't allow idols in the old temple, why should you allow sickness in the new one? Amen.
Romans 8:11 says, "The spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, and he will quicken your mortal body." The spirit of God living inside you is a healing spirit, a quickening spirit, a lifegiving spirit. And he is right now flowing through your temple. I remember one time a man came to me in a meeting suffering with a stomach condition. He said, "Brother Hagen, I've been prayed for many times, but I just can't seem to get healed." I said, "Brother, what does one Corinthians 6:19 say?" He read it out loud. "Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost." I said, 'Is the Holy Ghost sick?' He said, 'number.' I said, ' Then why should his temple be sick?' He thought for a moment, then said, 'You're right. He lifted his hands and shouted, "My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Sickness, you can't stay here." And instantly, the power of God hit him and his stomach was healed. Hallelujah.
Church, when you recognize who lives inside you, it will change the way you talk. It will change the way you think. It will change the way you fight sickness. You won't say, "I'm just weak and sick." You'll say, "My body is God's house, and God doesn't live in a sick house." Say this with me right now. "My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit." The greater one lives in me. The healing spirit lives in me. Sickness, you are trespassing in God's temple. I command you to leave in Jesus' name. Glory to God. That's confession number 18. When you know your body is the temple, you won't allow sickness to stay. You'll drive it out with the authority of the name of Jesus because the Holy Spirit himself lives inside you. Amen.
Now, let's turn to Hebrews chapter 10 verse 23. The word says, "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering, for he is faithful that promised." Say it with me. I hold fast the confession of my faith without wavering. Say it again. I hold fast the confession of my faith without wavering. Now make it strong and personal. I will not let go of my confession of healing because God is faithful. Hallelujah.
Now notice this. The Bible does not say, "Let God hold fast to his promise." God is already faithful. He will never let go of his word. What it says is, "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith." That means it's up to you and me to hold on to our confession. What we say about the word of God concerning us. And what is confession? Confession is simply saying the same thing God says. When you say what God says about your healing, that's confession. When you say what the doctor says that contradicts the word, that's not confession. That's doubt. The power is not in repeating the sickness. The power is in repeating the word. >> Amen.
Now notice the words without wavering. That means don't say I'm healed one day and then the next day say I don't think it's working. Don't say by his stripes I was healed in the prayer line and then say I still feel sick when you get home. No. Hold fast. Hold tight. Refuse to let go. Refuse to change your words. Why? Because he is faithful. That promise. God's part is to perform his word. Your part is to hold fast your confession of faith. If you will hold fast to your confession, God will hold fast to his performance. Glory to God.
I remember a woman in one of my meetings who had been paralyzed for years. She got in the prayer line. We laid hands on and prayed. Nothing seemed to happen outwardly, but she left saying, "I believe I receive. By his stripes, I was healed." Her family said, "But you still look the same." She said, "I'm holding fast to my confession." Weeks went by, then months. She kept saying, "I believe I'm healed." One day, as she sat in her chair, power hit her legs and she stood up completely healed. Why? She refused to let go of her confession. Church, the devil will try to get you to quit. He'll say, "Uh, it's not working. You're not healed. Give up." But you answer back with Hebrews 10:23. I hold fast my confession without wavering, for he is faithful that promise.
Say this with me boldly right now. I hold fast to my confession of faith. I hold fast to my confession of healing. I refuse to waver. I refuse to doubt. I will not let go because God is faithful to his word. Glory to God. That's confession number 19. And let me tell you something. If you'll make the decision to hold fast, you'll see every promise of God come to pass. Healing, provision, victory, it will all manifest because God is faithful that promised. Amen.
Now, dear friends, we've walked through these confessions one by one. From I am the righteousness of God in Christ to by his stripes I was healed. From the law of the spirit of life has made me free to I will live and not die. and all the way to I hold fast my confession of faith without wavering. Why did we do this? Because faith must be in two places in your heart and in your mouth. Romans 10:810. It is not enough to silently believe. You must boldly speak. And when you speak God's word, you release God's power. Amen.
Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." That means you can talk sickness or you can talk healing. You can talk weakness or you can talk strength. You can talk death or you can talk life. But whatever you talk, you'll have it. So here's what I'm urging you to do. Don't just make these confessions once in church. Make them daily, morning and night. Say them when you feel good. Say them when you feel bad. Say them when the symptoms scream. Say them when the devil whispers. Hold fast. Refuse to waver. Keep the word in your mouth. Amen.
Remember Joshua 1:8. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night. For then thou shalt make thy way prosperous. And then thou shalt have good success. Healing is success. Victory is success. Life is success. And it all comes by keeping the word in your mouth day and night. I challenge you tonight, start tomorrow morning. Wake up and declare, "I am the righteousness of God in Christ. By his stripes, I was healed. The greater one lives in me. I will live and not die. The Lord is the strength of my life. His word cannot fail. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Christ has redeemed me from the curse. I hold fast my confession without wavering, for he is faithful that promised." And if you'll keep saying that, you'll walk in health. You'll walk in strength. You'll walk in victory. And the devil won't be able to stop you. Hallelujah.
Now, lift your hands and say it one more time with me. I will live and not die. I am healed by the stripes of Jesus. The greater one lives in me. The Lord is my healer, my strength, and my life. I hold fast my confession of faith because God is faithful. Glory to God forever more. Amen.
