I BOUGHT A FERRARI! Collecting My New GTC4Lusso V12

Hi guys, I'm Shmee. Hello, good morning. Welcome back to the channel. Welcome to the particularly colorful garage where today there is going to be a new edition. It is collection day of my new mysterious V12 Shmemobile.

Now, some of you have guessed which car it is. Some of the squad have picked out the exact one. Well, today we're going to be heading to Bramley's to pick up my new Ferrari GTC4 Lusso.

Now, since I sold my FF, there's been a spot open in the garage for a naturally aspirated V12, and I've been waiting for the perfect spec Lusso to come along. That has now done so at Bramley Motor Cars, and there's also a story about this specific car as well. So, we're going to be heading on over, taking a good look at the new car, going over the spec and the details. It's a very nice spec indeed. I was not holding back as soon as I saw this car for sale. And then, because it's already got a few thousand miles on it, unlike the recent collections of the GT in the center, we can go straight out and drive and hit that red line on collection day. So, let's get this started then. Let's head over and check out the new Schmie mobile.

[Music]

In the garage here, as well as some very bright colors, basically we have a V8, a V8, a V6, a V8, and a V8, and Ben's V8 as well. There's an absence of a V12. I've missed the FF, I've missed my Vanquish Volante, and some recent test drives in both another Vanquish Volante and a Ferrari 812 Superfast, basically made me feel there's not going to be forever that we can enjoy these V12 engines. I have to get it done and share the stories and adventures with the car with you guys.

So, we're going to be leaving the center and the GT here today because I think it's a good outing for the 675 LT Spider. I've not driven it all that much recently, and it also harks back to the adventures with the FF and, at the time, my 675 LT coupe that was in the cerulean blue we now find on the center. So, the Orion Purple LT Spider is ready and set for today's adventure. Let's hop on in, take it out. It's a fairly short drive, about an hour or so. We'll get to Bramley's and check out the new car. Given it is such a lovely day, the roof is definitely going down. You can do it while you're driving, well, to about 20 miles per hour in the 675 LT. We're starting to move again, so let's hope this happens quite quickly, otherwise I'm going to be a little bit embarrassed. But what a day to be heading out to pick up a new car. It is always more fun when the sun is out, and this is quite a fun way to be doing it. So, fingers crossed, not too much traffic, but I am looking forward to Lusso time. It's been a long, long time coming, but wait until you see this car. Honestly, the spec of it and the options, it is amazing. And as I said, there's a pretty cool story about this car as well. There's a reason why I could not resist this one.

Conveniently, our route out of London takes us through a very nice little tunnel in this car. Okay, it's a very different sound that we'll be hearing out of this so later on, but man, that sounds good. We have a small little bit of countryside to drive through to get to where we're going. Very, very beautiful English countryside, actually. What a wonderful day, really and truly. This is exactly what you hoped for on the day of a new car collection. Although this is quite a pvp tarmac in a car as rigid as this, because of this, so still seems a little bit surreal to be talking about the GTC4 Lusso. It's going to be a touch softer than this car when you're driving on these kind of roads, but it will have that V12. I cannot wait to be driving it after my, oh, that's quite cool, nice. After my recent drive in the 812 Superfast and getting a feel again for the Ferrari naturally aspirated V12, that's basically what this car is about and why I've decided to go through it. And, uh, yeah, bring it on. Bring it on.

Little would you expect in this very calm and quiet village of Bramley, you have Bramley Motor Cars. I'm going to have to pop the lift system up, which in this car is on that side, so that we can pull in. But somewhere in there is going to be my new GTC4 Lusso. So, let's do this very carefully. This person has flushed me forwards. It's a tiny little lane. There we go. Thank goodness for lift systems. Hey, we'll find somewhere to park up and then it's going to be time to head on in. There we go. I can see it under the cover just behind that glass. I can't wait to get this off, run through the spec, and tell you why this car, everything about it, is spot on. Good times.

You're not going to believe this, but no more than a second after I parked up, I heard a deep grumbling noise in the background. Spun around and trundling down the high street was a McLaren Senna. Completely random coincidence. It was in Myra Orange, the original launch color, so I think it was probably one of the factory or press cars. But what a way to be welcomed here. And I tell you, also, that car in the sunshine. I am still over the moon with the spec of the 675 LT Spider. It's hard to believe now that this car is actually coming up to being three years old. It's the oldest car, actually, in my current collection, but the color of it in this sunshine is looking mega. I'm very happy still with how that turned out. But of course, I'm bouncing from one thing to the next. The main thing that we're here for today is this, the new Ferrari GTC4 Lusso, joining the LT and the others in the garage later on. So, let's head straight in then and go and take a look at this new car.

I'll pull the covers back in a second and reveal it in all of its glory. But before I do, I'd like to tell you the little story that is really quite cool about this specific car. So, I've actually known about this Lusso, it's a used car with 4,000 miles on it, since, well, since before it was even built. Because the one previous owner of the car is actually the gentleman who bought from me and still has my 675 LT coupe. So, we've kind of done a bit of a car swap there. So, I've known about this car from doing spec. I saw photos of it literally on its original collection day, and I know what it's been up to since, which just makes it an even more personal thing. So, when I saw it advertised here at Bramley Motor Cars, I was probably within an hour or so trying to get in touch with them to say, "I would like that one."

So, we're going to be pulling the cover off in a moment. But before I do, let me give you a sneak peek at the color that it is underneath. You probably won't be too surprised to see that it is blue. It's TdF Blue, Ferrari Tour de France Blue. It's one of, I think, their iconic colors. And then the number plate will also come around to this. This is, of course, also Shmee, the plate that was worn by my Ferrari FF. Shmee with the 10. The 10 being, well, probably the closest to 150 other than the 15, which is worn by the LT. And if you can dream it, you can do it. Enzo Ferrari. It's kind of a return to the blue crew, continuing this. The center in Cerulean Blue, the GT8 which kind of replaced the GT4, and of course, the Lusso in TdF. But let's get this cover now pulled all the way back to reveal it in all of its glory. Of course, I've already seen the car. I came out here the other day with the Ford GT to have a look at it. So, this is very much a reveal for you guys of the new Schmie reveal. Let's do this and pull the cover back on the GTC4 Lusso.

The long-awaited arrival in the garage. I think the natural successor, really, to the Ferrari FF and all the miles that I did with that car along the way. There's nobody really that makes a car with this form factor, the fast sporty, well, hatchback. It's literally a three-door hatchback. And this spec, TdF Blue, it's such an iconic Ferrari color as well. Let me just pull this off. It's quite static, as you can imagine, the cover. We'll just remove that. There we go. Then that's the new car. I'll run you around the spec now and go through it in detail. It is fully loaded, absolutely everything, including even the luggage in the rear. But let's go over this now in detail. The best way to show you the spec of this specific car is actually to show you inside the boot. So, all modern Ferraris now have a plaque with their complete original factory specification. So, I've got the key right here, the new keyless system, the red Ferrari key. I just unlock it. Traditionally, you get the beep as you unlock the car, then press and hold the boot button because it has a power fold tailgate. That's something that I didn't actually have on the FF, nor did I have a full panoramic roof like this has. A ginormous piece of glass back here. You can see the four-piece trolley luggage set. We've also got the fitted car cover, the trickle charger, and a few small gifts as well from Bramley's. But this list details all of the options, and they literally almost ran out of space. This car has so many options added to it, the likes of Apple CarPlay and adaptive headlights, to all of the carbon fiber you could possibly want, the Italian flag, the Scuderia shields as well. It is basically loaded to the absolute max. And I particularly love these as supplied with the car originally. The luggage set actually matches the interior. The same leathers used for those four trolley bags. A really, really nice thing. The first time I've ever actually had fitted luggage with a car. But let me close this back down and just start, I think, walking around the exterior of it.

So, TdF Blue, or Blue Tour de Force, is the paint color. A very, very lovely color, slightly lighter than the Le Mans Blue that I had for my FF. We've got the wheels with the diamond turn finish, the slightly dual tone to it, just like I had on the FF. We've got red calipers, also just like I had on the FF. So, there's a lot of, I think, continuation in terms of the specification. You've got the carbon fiber side sills, a very nice piece. I particularly like the carbon fiber gills here, those fender louvers sitting underneath the Scuderia shields, and also more carbon. It is almost endless carbon with this car. Down here at the front splitter as well, and the bright finish to the grille. Of course, the car has the adaptive headlights. But it's very much that form factor that I loved so much from the FF. The mid-front engine, naturally aspirated V12, 6.3 liters, 690 horsepower, with enough space inside for four people to sit in comfort and luxury. The rear seats in here are absolutely fantastic, even more space than the car actually had, than the FF had. Before we've got the likes of the privacy glass for the rear windows. But let's check out the interior where again, it is just about everything.

So, it's Nero leather, the black leather with the blue accents. So, you can see these trim accents throughout the seat, as well as the blue Cavallino, the horse there at the top of the headrest, blue stitching, all the carbon fiber. So, the carbon fiber LED driver zone, which gives you the shift lights up at the top, and the carbon fiber down here around the Manettino. More carbon. If you're playing the carbon fiber drinking game, you might be in trouble for this video. Carbon down here on the driving selectors. Of course, you've got the larger touchscreen that has the Apple CarPlay. You have those digital discrete display screens either side of the yellow rev counter in the center. It also has the passenger display over there, so when it's on, the passenger can see additional information too. Basically, absolutely everything in a very, very nicely finished car. It looks immaculate. I mean, it could genuinely be basically a brand new car. And then look up there, look at that roof. The full panoramic roof is a magnificent thing. It looks amazing. It's so airy when you're sitting inside, so much light and openness. The electric seats, of course, tucking back. Carbon fiber door sills. It's just everything. It's just absolutely everything that you could possibly want. I'm going to come around to the passenger side as well. This car is, I mean, there's nothing missing. There's absolutely nothing missing. Of course, my last Ferrari had a cream interior, which was always a challenge to keep quite clean. This is a different approach with the black with blue, but I love it just as much. It's really, really nice, very smart, very functional, and you have this display as well, the touchscreen display for the passengers. So, basically, this thing is, well, kind of pure, heavy, absolutely perfect Schmie mobile. The Italian flag there. It's, it came up and I wasn't hanging around.

I think it's time for what we've all been waiting for then. The startup from the V12. That's how this all came about, wanting to experience again a V12 engine while we live in a world where these kind of cars are still being produced and can be enjoyed. So, let's take a step back inside to start it up now. I will point out that the Lusso is much more of a GT than the FF was, so it does actually have basically a valve system until you either modify that, plug it open, do something that changes it. There's a little pouch to pop the key there in the center, so I don't necessarily think that it will be the loudest thing. Oh, we've got the radio on. Let's turn that off for a second. But if I pop it on the Manettino into Sport mode and then press this button, we will be able to hear how this sounds. So, foot on the brake. Let's hit the button and bring it into life. Oh, yes. So, we did get a bit of a cold start with the exhaust valve open. And you know, the best thing is, it's already run in. We can go out now and have some fun with this. That's what you hear the valve. Okay, this is sounding good. We've got 4,258 miles on the clock, and that cold start is mega. That's only 3,000 RPM. This is going to be so good. I can't wait to get this out very shortly and go out and drive.

It's time to take the car out. So, we're going to start up from the outside and hear the V12 coming into life. So, that was with the valves. You can hear that was with the valves closed. It's still, nonetheless, sounds very, very good. So, the car will be taken outside. We will have it parked alongside the LT. I just need to actually squeeze out very quickly. We'll see it coming into daylight. Still got a bit of sunshine going on, and the purple and blue. It's the LT and a four-seat Ferrari. It's a bit of a reunion, as it was kind of with the old LT coupe and with the FF. Wow, this is really, really quite cool. It's been a long, long time coming. I think I've probably been teasing this on videos or looking for one for two years, two and a half years, since my first ever drive that was actually nearly three years ago now. But here it is, coming out into the sunshine. And one fun thing, actually, about this car is it's actually fully Topaz PPF already. This car was done with Topaz paint protection film from new, just as I do with all of the other cars. So, no need to, uh, really do anything with it from here. And Bramley's actually took it to be perfected as well, so it's looking very, very good.

Here we are then, first few meters in the new Lusso. Which instinctively feels like the FF. It's that kind of position and shape and style. And we've got quite a bump here, so I'm going to use the lift system. It's a four-wheel lift, the whole car obviously raises up. But I do need to be a little bit aware of the very nice and expensive carbon fiber front splitter. And I've also got to be aware of which indicator I need. Is that one? Um, as we then go on out to the road. Thank you very much to that person. I put this system back down. This is where you always have so much to think about in a brand new car to get used to. So, I'm actually going to pop it into Comfort mode on the Manettino. You've got Sport, and then ESC off. So, unlike, say, the sportier cars, you know, the mid-engine cars, the rear mid-engines like the 488s, you have Race mode and then you can also do CT off. Um, I've got my two digital displays. They've very kindly given me a full tank of fuel as well. Inside the nav screen, I haven't actually got on at the moment, and also over on your side, you've got the passenger display, so you can see how that works too with the different modes. And if you press VDA, you can see, for example, here, if I change it into Sport, it literally gives you a Manettino position and the modes changing from one to the other, which is really kind of cool. And then you can go back to the performance mode, uh, at the main screen. And this is, it's just fun, isn't it? You can literally see what gear I'm in, where the revs are at, the G forces, and, well, kind of everything with that. And you can also even choose the music actually on that display over on the passenger side. I don't know why I'm so fascinated by the controls that the passenger has rather than the controls that the driver has, where I've got the lovely carbon fiber downshift paddles. So, we've let it warm a little bit, maneuvering around, taking some pictures. If I press auto here and go into Sport, then by pressing auto, you actually go back into manual. Just drop down a few gears, get a little bit of that sound. There we go. There we go. This is kind of surreal driving in my Lusso. That's the thing I've been hoping one day I was going to say, but it's actually now coming. As we get out into a 40 mile per hour zone, I can press. Oh, yes, yes. This is going to be so good. So much fun. It just cruises along, it glides along. You've got a really long bonnet out in front, of course. Look at the scenery here as well. It's really, really, it's just a nice place to be driving, he says with a really big truck that comes around the corner. But a lovely afternoon, a lovely, lovely, lovely day to pick up a new car. And here we are, just cruising along, getting an early feel for it. The four-wheel steering, very, very light steering, of course, it changes between the different modes. I feel like I'm almost doing a bit of a review, almost, of my completely brand new car that, as I say, I've yet to learn all about. I've got a lot to start picking up and trying to get my head around. Um, I can change my screens as well, but I'll get into more of that a little bit later on. At the moment, though, this just feels so cool to be in the GTC4 Lusso. So, my GTC4. Absolutely madness. The thing with the Lusso is it's a bit different from the 812, because it's so much more refined. The thicker glass, the double glazing for the windows, the general quietness of the car, the air conditioning is almost silent. But then, if you do put your foot down, as I promised, the numbers build up fast, and you get that noise. You know what, I think it's so quick, I actually have to get down to first gear to get the most out of the sound. Listen to this then. Yes, yes. The V12. It's so good. It's so, so good. Ah, this is what we needed. This is what the channel's been missing. That sound. Those downshifts. They're so quick. Oh, heaven. Absolute heaven. Not a bad first drive, then, in the Lusso. Plenty more to come.

But I've actually popped back to Bramley's because there are a few cars here I'd like to show you inside the showroom. So, very, very nice examples. You can see lots of cars out over the forecourt. They have a lot of Ferraris, for example, Californias, California Ts, 599 GTO, a Ferrari Dino. But if we come back through here, past the 430, that's an FF. And then beyond the FF is a GTC4 Lusso T, so the V8 version, 3.9 liter twin turbocharged V8 instead of the V12. You get different wheels, a few small changes. The V8 is a brilliant car, but I just really, really lusted after the V12. We've got a 612 Scaglietti, and then this Speciale. Look at the stripe, and look at the interior. Blue Alcantara for the seats on the interior of this Speciale. That's quite a spec, actually, for that car. A lovely Volcano Red McLaren 12C Spider. There's another Speciale just there too. Oh, one of the Ferrari F430s, really, really cool. BMW Z8 at the back. That's quite a smart spec as well, the gray, black stripe, tan interior. A couple of Bentleys. Look at that. Look at that green. That's quite a strong color scheme. Rolls-Royces just beyond that Phantom Coupe. If we keep coming through, they have a lot of different cars here, actually. Um, this way, I think we're going to stumble into a couple of SLS's. That's one of the SLS GTS, white with all the black accents. A lovely Aston Martin Vanquish, really, really nice. Such a, such a cool dealership. The way this works in its position. As we go past, uh, some Flying Spurs, there's an another 695 Tributo, Ferrari F12, R8 Plus, G-Wagon at the back, Porsche 928, Defender, Targa, and then two more SLS's. He says almost falling down the stairs there. Two more SLS's here. That's really nice in the dark blue with the beige interior. And a Bentley and a Porsche GT3. So, lots and lots of cool cars, actually. I have to say, honestly, a big thanks to the team here at Bramley's. It's been a wonderful experience purchasing this car. Really, really, really nice, very welcoming, very easy, great communication. So, yeah, massive, massive thanks for all of that.

It is time, though, to head back home. So, start up the car. So good. The LT as well. We're going to drive out with both cars, obviously. That's got to get on back home as well. So, Schmark is here. There's this manager for me, 150. He's going to be driving the LT. I'm going to be driving the new car, the Lusso, naturally. And I think we might catch up when we made it back home. The sun's going to set, and I can tell from the navigation that we do basically a lot of traffic. It's going to be endless traffic jams actually get on back. Um, so it won't be the most thrilling drives, unfortunately. So, we'll make our way, make some progress, and I'll update you when we get back home.

Job done, and the new member of the garage joins the rest of the lineup. Now, that drive was just as expected, a whole lot of traffic. M25 at rush hour is never a fun thing at all, and today was no exception. Non-stop traffic. It took probably more than double what it's supposed to take. But here we are now with the new car here in the garage, joining, I think we're calling them the Skittles Crew, the Schmie mobiles that we have here, all still uncovered from earlier, and joined by another colorful addition, the TdF Blue GTC4 Lusso. Now, I'm going to save revving the nuts off this for a later occasion to hear more of that engine noise, but I am going to come around to actually open up the bonnet and feast our eyes on the glorious V12. After all, that's half of the reason that we are here and joined by this car. I need to do this very delicately. The last thing we want to do is bang that onto the nose of the center. So, underneath here in the center, we can open that up and come around and take a look at the 6.3 liter naturally aspirated V12. If I can, uh, find the catch. This is the first time. There we go. Not too hard. Look at that. Look at that thing. Four RMs, the four-wheel drive system, four-wheel steering as well, four just about everything, really. And well, a small slice of heaven up front.

So, I had teased that this car, or a surprise car, that didn't close. There we go. Click. Is going to join the lineup at IAMS, the Amsterdam Motor Show. Well, of course, you now know that is the car that it's going to be, the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso. So, I can also say that I obviously, slightly strangely for myself, have bought the car through Shmee150 Finance, powered by Harrington Finance, which I told you about, of course, with the GT and the Senna. But that's the first new car that I've added to the garage since, and all went smoothly and very, very quickly to manage to get all of this through, sorted out, and now done and delivered and here in the garage. So, a big thanks again to the team at Bramley's, to the guys who helped with the funding side of things as well. The new car has arrived. It's awesome to have actually finally got a Ferrari GTC4 Lusso in the garage. I've said that a lot of times today. I've said carbon fiber a lot of times today. I'm buzzing. It's been an amazing one. I'm tired. A long day. But well, here it is. The car that I think many of you might have guessed. If you did, let me know in the comments down below. The long-awaited arrival of, I think, one of the ultimate grand tourers. For now, though, off to get a bite to eat, some dinner, go and have a rest, because we've got plenty more things going on. But I hope you've enjoyed this video, coming along for the collection day of the new Schmie mobile. Thanks for watching, as always, guys, and I'll see you very, very soon. Cheers.
