Uh, so we are focusing on the 10th house today and transits through the 10th house. Um, it is a house of results. So anytime we have transits going through the 10th, we're going to have that theme of seeing the results for what we've worked for, what we've done, because that's the nature of the 10th house. So as the planets have started from our first and made their progress through the houses, um, they are all engaging in this, uh, long-term personal cycle for us. So there's a, um, there's a progression that happens with, uh, all the planets going through the houses because, as I am always hammering, uh, in every class that I give into everybody's heads, is that aspects, cycles, processes do not happen in isolation. They are part of a larger developmental process, a larger evolutionary goal, because there, there continues to be this process of growth, this process of personal involvement or devolvement. This is part of the human story. It's just descriptive of what it is to be human.
So when we're looking at the 10th house, we always have to keep in mind that it is a karma house. A lot of the houses are, they're most of the houses above the horizon, okay, I'll say all of the houses above the horizon and the fourth house are very much karma houses where we see the results of things. Um, and the fourth house is very important because that's often where we understand the emanation of karma. We understand because it represents that square decision-making process matters within the fourth and matters within the tenth. When we have that square decision-making process, uh, in that fourth house environment, opening squares, we're looking at how does our past and where we've come from and our habitual emotional patterns need to be adjusted? How do we need to make new sources of support for ourselves or bring in new patterns in order to support what we want going forward? What we want that goal to be? So we come to that point of crisis, which implies decision. That's what we see at that 90-degree angle. We have to, uh, get up enough gumption and enough speed to overcome the inertia of being pulled back into the past by those old outdated ways of relating to people and the world because we always just keep getting what we want, getting what we want, getting what we think we want, getting what we think we want to get, what we think we want, but we don't get anything new. There's there's no update. So we're learning that fourth house environment and then we're seeing a lot of the, uh, results of that, especially when we're dealing with Saturn transits. Um, we're seeing a lot of the results of what happened within the fourth house when we see planets coming into the 10th, particularly Saturn, because Saturn won't have transited the cusp of the fourth house 14 years prior to coming to transit the midheaven and will have transited the descendant about seven years before he comes to transit the midheaven.
So the 10th house is a decision house. This is where we have transits that come through and it is now a point of critical decision of redirection because we have that shape where, as in the fourth house, it was this shape, now it's this shape. We're coming to the peak where Saturn is, where the midheaven is, because this is a house that's naturally ruled by Saturn, coming to that peak within the 10th house, and we are receiving a great deal of results. Uh, so this is the house of achievement, what it is that we want to build for ourselves. So we picked up our tools initially, um, uh, within the third house. We started out with our our vision in the first, find it in a second, picked up our tools of the trade and the third, redirected ourselves and the fourth, reacquainted ourselves with that vision and that lust for life and the fifth, deepened our knowledge regarding our tools and our abilities and our skills in the sixth. So we see that we've gone through this progressive process of building a life, building a future, the kind of actions that we've engaged in.
So in the 10th house, it is always important to understand that the goings-on within the 10th house have a great deal to do with the receiving, the collection of karma, and then the reevaluation regarding payback because often payback will have us looking at the quality of our work or feeling we've been shorted or paid well. Payback is different for all of us depending on what output, what kind of work have we done, what kind of action have we created. So really understanding that process of give and take, because it starts with give, it starts with what emanates from us. And this is something we learned heavily in fourth house, seventh house, tenth house, first house environments. It can actually be harder in the first because it's less obvious. This is a more obvious lesson in the 10th house than it is in other houses because for some of us, we may be riper for learning it at this point because we've been worked on, we've gone through this process of, um, growth and of awakening and reflection and knowing ourselves. And if we have evolved, if we have chosen a creative life, and if we know what we want, 10th house transits can be very, very easy and good and deliver the sweetest results. But if we haven't figured out what we want and we're still driven by fear, we are not in control of ourselves, we haven't figured out that what we get is a reflection of what we give, we haven't figured out that we're the stone, we're the stone that's dropped into the pool, we are the weight, we are the energy, we are the little stone that's dropped into the pond and it creates these successive ripples. We understand we're the source of the ripple. If we don't get that, 10th house transits can be god-awful because they will challenge what we have built. They have, they will challenge the false structures, the false ideas, the false images, the idols that we construct for ourselves. It will challenge our worship at the cult of the south.
Tenth house transits. So the Sun, when we're looking at the Sun, it's about a month that the Sun will spend in any particular house. So we're focused more on the external aspects of life during this period of the year. How do we get our button gear regarding goals, what we want to set up for ourselves? We're focused on, uh, material life, and that sometimes can be very good because it, it means that we're refining our plans. What do we want to do with the time that we have? A lot of Saturn's job is to teach us about efficiency. This is what the earth signs, earth planets do as they actually teach us about efficient use of resources, second tools and abilities, sixth and time in the 10th, because as we get into that Saturn stage of life, up into our 60s, we realize we only got so much of it left and we want to use it to the best of our ability in that spirit of Capricorn.
So with the Sun going through the 10th house, we are accepting more personal responsibility at that point in our life. And this may not be dramatic. It may be just as simple as, um, taking on an extra chore, I taking on a burden that for some of us may be an appropriate responsibility. For some of us, it may not be. We always have to look at our relationship with responsibility. And sometimes appropriate responsibility means shucking some stuff off, unpacking some things. And sometimes taking responsibility appropriately means adding some things. So we don't know which it's going to be. It's going to be different from all of us for all of us depending on what we've been doing, our understanding about responsibility, self-control, karma, results. That's going to be the great determining factor when it comes to all of the transits through the 10th house. How have we been pursuing our lives? What kind of ethics have we come to conduct ourselves by between the ninth house and the tenth house transits, the ninth house, tenth house development, the ninth house, tenth house stage of life? We are developing, uh, an idea of ethical behavior, of of, uh, a correct behavior. Sometimes it's correct to rebel. Sometimes it's correct to upset the system. Sometimes it's correct to go along. Sometimes it's correct to cooperate. We're learning to be flexible when it comes to our idea of what we should be participating in. These are the social houses. These are social experiences that we have. So transits in those social houses are going to highlight, uh, how we have worked with others and the quality of our personal responsibility. It's always at the basis of, I know it's so boring, I'm always harping on it, but it's just so essential to understanding how to direct our own lives. So that's what we're learning with the Sun in the 10th house is more how to direct our own lives, how to take on more that we need to take on more, and sometimes how to prune our responsibilities that, you know, maybe are inappropriate from the beginning. We are dealing with parents and, uh, with the people in our lives who have at least in the past brought us some amount of structure or could have been authority figures to us. It doesn't seem to be a transit that's highlighting government so much as parents.
Now, when the Moon goes through the 10th house, it can be more specific to the females in our lives or the mother, um, feminine figures. But the Moon is only going to be in a certain house, you know, a few days. It's it's not a long-term transit at all. And it's very hard to keep private what we would like to hide because our feelings tend to be very much on the surface. We could, you know, do something simple like, um, show up to lunch with a friend and, you know, we're lunching in a restaurant and something happened to us and we just kind of reveal it all. It's like in a public place. It doesn't mean that we're with a megaphone, hey everybody, listen to me, but we're less concerned with privacy and more concerned with revelation. And that does tend to happen more in public places or in places, uh, you know, that they're not intimate environments. Again, that doesn't mean that we're advertising what's going on. It's just more out in the open than it typically is. And and we're very easily triggered when it comes to sharing or admitting things, opening our vault. We tend to do it, um, more in places or with people that maybe typically we wouldn't be revealing those things, but it's very much on the surface. It's hard to hide, um, feelings with the Moon in the natal 10th house or the Moon going through the 10th house or the Moon being on the ascendant as well because they do tend to be something that's very much on the surface. The Moon is typically in the fourth house, the ruler of the fourth, where it is midnight in the fourth house, but it's a high noon. This is like looking up, you know, at noon and seeing the Sun. I mean, the Moon very, very clearly. Um, so we just cannot hide our internal processes during that period of time. Probably not a great time to take a polygraph test when we have Moon going through the 10th house.
Mercury going through the 10th house. Let's talk about that. So Mercury actually does pretty darn well in the 10th because Mercury is a friend to the 10th house because he is, um, uh, of the sixth also of the third. So he's a little hair-brained sometimes, but Mercury does have an earthy side. It does have this, um, a groundedness to him. So as Mercury is going through the 10th house, we can adjust some of the the meanings of the third and the sixth. We adjust some of those things, our skills, our management of our daily life, how we relate to co-workers, even siblings, people that are in the immediacy of our either daily environment, work environment. There's an adjustment there. So we can have, um, a better chance of solving our problems, of, uh, coming to better solutions. Mercury is where we work on problems. We look at the flaw of something. So we are, um, making better plans. When Mercury goes to the 10th house, we could also be learning more, being more willing to update our skills. And that could be as simple as, you know, as, you know, say me being an astrologer, um, you know, ordering a new book and deciding, you know, I'm going to deepen my understanding about a certain topic, or if one is a nurse, um, you know, rereading an old textbook, something that we feel just shores up some of our needed knowledge. So more confidence in our presentation of what we know because the 10th house has a great deal to do with presentation. This is the house of the image that we create for ourselves. The midheaven is typically in the 10th house. Sometimes it's not in your chart. It might be in the 11th, it might be in the ninth, but it has the meaning of the 10th house. And that could be in the context of your ninth or your 11th, but it has the meaning of noon, the highest point in the sky, and Saturn, the midheaven, the midheaven zone. We look up at seven years old and say, I will become that one day. It's based on that Saturn ideal that we've absorbed, the kind of karma that we have been immersed in. And so, um, that midheaven, the 10th house is all of the activities of achieving that goal of image. So for some of us, we'll find that what we're working toward is very much supported by, uh, by others. We get good results, there's good karmic returns on that. Um, and we may find that we don't question what we looked up at seven years old and said, I will be that. We, we just truly really want to continue to be that. But a lot of us, I say the majority of us, adjust that idea because we become something of our own making over the process of growing. And that's what planets in the 10th house are really testing: are you the real deal? Are you, have you made a life for yourself, or are you just conforming to that original karma that you absorbed up until seven years old that created this self-image of what you will become? So it's a self-perpetuating, uh, family image. And we really want to look at that and say, is this, is this really what I want to be? For some of us, it is. We find great meaning in it. We find that it brings our life structure and happiness, and we're happy to pursue that image. Sometimes it, it may be something that is in tune with our early figures in our life, our parents, the genealogy, the expectations of the people around us. But sometimes what we want to be, we find out, okay, not so much in tune with what I thought I was supposed to be or I thought I wanted to be. And as we get to know ourselves deeper and deeper and deeper, many, many times we will reassess that image because it is an image. We could become anything. So that image has much, much, much to do with our goal because that's what points north for us. The midheaven is like the North Star for us, the Sun in the sky that when it is shining on a sundial tells us the time. Um, it's, it's that that idea of direction. So when we don't have that image and we don't have that goal of, I want to become that, we don't have a direction. And Jupiter, ninth house transits are really priming us for, um, using our time the best we can, uh, going towards a direction that makes the most sense to us. So that idea of what am I after is more maturing in the 10th house. And, um, we really see the fruits of all of this in the 11th house. See a lot of fruits in the 10th, see more fruits in the 11th. So Saturn in the 10th house is karma. Pluto is, uh, dark karma. Neptune in the 12th house is supreme karma. Eighth house, that is more difficult to recognize karma. So we say that's a dark karma, dark matter in the eighth house. And we can also have that potential for dark matter, invisible matter in the 12th house, depending on how we've matured and chosen and evolved. If we have devolved, then we're going to come to dark matter or to invisible, what is invisible, uh, that we can cast our own fears and ideas and egocentric illusions upon within that 12th house environment.
So, um, we are expanding the way that we're laying the groundwork for success practically. When Mercury goes through the 10th house, we are laying the bricks and we see the results of that when Mercury goes into the 11th house because if it's like we, we tune up that, uh, direction we're going towards. So have you ever, uh, you know, pulled a bicycle, uh, the garage that you hadn't ridden for a while and it is a bit wonky, you know, kind of squeaky and a little weird, but you just give it a tune-up and it's like, wow, I, I'm just really impressed with this and I'm going to take this thing out for a spin. We're really enjoying ourselves. Um, it's that comparison between what's kind of rusty and not working and, oh, you know, I should have done this a long time ago kind of feeling. So that tune-up is beneficial for us. Um, we are more looking at the longer term now. If we get caught in petty crap, gossip, which Mercury can can be about, particularly if we have a gossipy thing or a petty thing within our 10th house, petty aspect, or, um, maybe like Mercury and hard aspect to the midheaven itself, or Mars in a hard aspect to the midheaven, maybe where we can, um, sometimes sometimes get caught up in the intrigue of the office or the feel that we are the subject of gossip, um, that's coming from somewhere. And we're going to make some discoveries, uh, about those things within the 10th house. We may find that we ourselves are being talked about in ways that we don't want to be talked about. And we have to look at where's that coming from? What ripples have we put out? So we don't want to focus on trivialities, microscopic kind of stuff. This is not a great transit for deep self-analysis. It's more looking at how can we make our lives function better so we can have the kind of personal success and creative life that we really want. It's a very practical transit.
So let's look at Venus. So as Venus is going through the 10th house, we tend to emanate very good, very good stuff, good energy. We put out a good vibe when Venus is going through the 10th house. In fact, whatever house Venus is transiting through, that's where our friendly vibe and our givingness and our invitation to participate, that's where conciliatory behavior is happening. So it's happening in this case in the 10th house. So we're easy to work with, we're easier to like, we are less concerned with the judgments, we are less concerned with, um, uh, keeping old arguments going. So we may have, say, a co-worker or a vendor or someone in our life that we work with that is, you know, not always been the easiest person to be around. Sometimes there may have been some friction, maybe outright don't like each other. But Venus going through the 10th house, and it could be a matter of, uh, weeks, um, it could be longer with Venus, uh, in the 10th, depending on if we have a retrograde, um, it's, it's not, it's not a terribly long transit, but it does give us enough of a chance to reestablish some new ideas about other people that perhaps in the past we haven't liked very much or haven't liked us, because it gives us a chance to put out something new. We put out an invitational ripple that sometimes when we offer the olive branch or we just stop being such a, other people around us will respond to that and we'll get good results. So, um, we are looking to better our, uh, our functional relationships, relationships that bring us something, relationships that have a purpose. It's not so much personal personal relationships. Um, and also our relationship with achievement and work. Um, we can fall in love with things a little bit more, what we're doing, or enjoy it more during that period of time when Venus is going through the 10th house. So also, if we have a relationship that develops while Venus is within the 10th house, it is very frequently with somebody or there's a power differential, maybe a boss or authority figure. It could be somebody that we have authority over, but it's typically somebody who is above us, that has seniority over us, um, older people, that could also be, uh, way that this can show up. So, uh, our image is actually enhanced. We act in ways, I usually helpful or conciliatory ways that enhance our own self-image. So we do ourselves a good turn, even if we don't realize it, with Venus going through the 10th house. So our reputation is helped along and advanced with this particular transit.
Let's talk about Mars. Now, Mars actually can do pretty good in Capricorn in the 10th house environment. So we can have good results with Mars going through the 10th house. A lot of it depends on the quality of how we control our own temper, the quality of our self-control, how well we know ourselves, blah, blah, blah, all of that stuff. So if we are asserting ourselves deliberately, meaning if we aren't a reactive ball of nerves and if we aren't constantly engaged in karma, picking up the ball, throwing it back, picking up the ball, throwing it back, if it's not a non-reactive life and it's more of a deliberate thinking life that we're leading and making choices that reflect, uh, the ability to reflect, then this can be a very good time for us. We can be receiving some very, very good results for our hard work that we have put into knowing ourselves and managing our own reactions and feelings and how we've dealt with anger. We could get some very good returns here because the people around us can come to respect us more. We could develop our leadership abilities. If we have some things to work on when it comes to reactivity, um, if we are, um, engaged in that mindless game of karma, then we will typically see some issues with Mars going through the 10th house because we tend to want to challenge people who we feel are in a position above us or who don't know what they're talking about, authority figures, parents, the government, teachers, people that we feel are, um, potentially trying to make us do things or they have some measure of control over us. So if we aren't in control of ourselves, then we tend to resist outwards or push back against outwards control or people that we perceive that are in that role. So how we assert ourselves determines what we get back. We make the ripple. A lot of times, especially in the West, we're convinced that it's the ripple that makes us and we're waiting for those ripples to bring us what we want. We're waiting for the world to change. We're waiting for other people to stop being jerks or to apologize or to give us what we need, and then we can finally move on. But that's like waiting for a wave, a ripple that obviously goes outward to defy physics and to just come in a direction. It's just not, it's just not natural. So we really have to control our output with Mars in the 10th house. And we may find that we learn that lesson through being opposed or through, uh, other people not wanting to work with us, other people being very, very stubborn, particularly as Mars crosses the midheaven. People can be challenging us. Competition can be something that we can feel is something that, you know, we really have to beat down or we're shirking from it. Depends on our relationship with competition. But if we're acting out of insecurity, if we're acting out of selfishness and out of mindlessness, because Mars is an instinctual planet, it's not a mindful planet. We just have that mindless tossing back of the red karma ball, then we can feel that everybody is working against us. We can feel like we're walking through sand when Mars is going through the 10th house, particularly if it goes retrograde in our 10th house. Oh my, there could be a lot of building tension in that environment. So most conflict, the most conflict with authority comes with Mars going through the 10th house. We have general conflict with others with Mars going through the seventh. Conflict more specifically with, uh, people that we feel have some measure of say over us in the 10th house. So we need to be very, very conscious that, um, our own reactivity is what we are getting.
So Jupiter within the 10th house. So, uh, Jupiter's typically the ruler of the ninth, and then we have him coming into a 10th house environment. So as Jupiter's gone through the wheel and takes about 10, 12 years for Jupiter to get all the way around the wheel, spends about a year in each house, each sign, um, we're looking at what do we really deserve? We can actually be getting some really good things with Jupiter in the 10th house. Jupiter brings us, uh, beneficial experiences, people, um, opportunities. And depending on how we've been, uh, understanding input and output and our own ripple effect, Jupiter could bring us some awesome stuff when he goes through the 10th house. We may receive attention for our accomplishments, what we've really put ourselves into. Um, I've also seen with Jupiter going through the 10th house, people really start on the direction of their dreams. They really get more inspiration regarding what could I really materialize? What could I really do? And start, uh, a professional life or a, if it's not professional life, but a plan or to take action on building the kind of life that works for them. So, um, we have to also look at, are we being humble with Jupiter going through the 10th house? Some of us don't have a problem with that. We actually need to have more of an inflationary factor. Some of us need more of a humbling factor. It depends on what we're working with. Um, if we are taking more than our fair share or we are suffering from, um, a lack of humbleness, then we can actually see the payback for that as Jupiter goes into or is in the 11th house. So we may be feeling awesome and good because we are not understanding who we are at all. And then we get more of a rude awakening when Jupiter goes into the 11th house. So again, the, the quality of the transits always comes down to how well do you know yourself? And, uh, we have to look at the, the inflationary process of the Jupiter when he goes through any one house. For some of us, we're going to come to an appropriate level of inflation. We may have some of the wind taken out of our sails if we're really understanding what could we really do. So because Jupiter is the air, the hill fills a hot air balloon, we could purposely take some of that air out of our own balloon because it makes it more possible that it's going to fly right, or we're going to be able to successfully land where we want to land. More hot air is not necessarily better because it can be misplaced hope. Misplaced hope is dangerous because it doesn't tell us it's actually safe. It can't actually tell us what we should, we could safely believe in. And yes, avoid the thunderstorm, uh, that can be much easier if you have the ability to use your sandbags, you're not so inflated, you're taken off of them to the ether. So we have to look at, um, uh, what do we really deserve? And if we're taking more than we deserve, if we're being greedy, greed is a big thing with Jupiter in the 10th. If we're indulging in greed, then we are going to see negative results for that. That is not going to help us in the pursuit of our social security because that's what the 10th house is, that pursuit of social security, making something of ourselves. We've, we've worked, we've put in time, the effort, and now we can look around and say, this is what I've done, and it, in our mind, ensures that we will be taken care of or we will be supported. So it's a pursuit of material or life security. And the 10th house, on a deeper level, the 10th house, a more evolved level, is how we create social security for others. We don't necessarily desire security for ourselves, uh, because we make it for ourselves. There's there's no reason to desire it because it's, it's right here at home. I mean, I, uh, I make my own pesto sauce. I grow everything right in my garden for all of my own pesto sauce. I never desire to go out and get pesto sauce. It's already here. So what we already have, we don't crave.
So let's look at Saturn. This is huge. When Saturn comes into the 10th house, oh, you know, it, Katie, once you make your own pesto sauce, there is no going back. There's such a big difference in the quality. Uh, that's, that's the rule for a lot of things in life. Once you do it for yourself, all right, no going back because you want, you understand it's a, it's a waste of your money, time, and resources to not, um, be self-creative. So Saturn, when it goes into the 10th house, this is a big report card that we get. We get a report card every time Saturn makes a transit to his own self, every seven years. And we get a report card every time trans, uh, Saturn transits a point, the ascendant, the IC, the descendant, the 10th house. These are our, this is like a final that we get when Saturn crosses the ascendant, the, uh, midheaven, because Saturn in, when he comes into the 10th house, is coming to a point of culmination. It's a point of, um, bringing ultimate payback because it's like the end of a cycle. It's the, well, let me rephrase that. The culmination of the cycle would be Saturn at the IC, or the completion of the cycle when Saturn comes to the MC, the midheaven, because previous to Saturn transiting the 10th house and being at the midheaven, Saturn was in the fourth house at the IC 14 years prior and at the descendant about seven years prior. So when it comes to the 10th house, particularly to the midheaven, is the crescendo. It's the results. It's the karma, the payback for what we put in place, what we restructured, what actions we took, what did we do when Saturn was at the cusp of the fourth? So we are going to receive many results for what we have built when Saturn goes into the 10th house. Some people completely crash and burn with Saturn at the midheaven or in the 10th house, and some people, they find that it's the peak of everything that they wanted to achieve. It depends on, have they been pursuing an authentic life? Have they been choosing, or have they just been deciding? You have to decide at these critical points, but at the other points, we get to choose. So we get a lot of results for the kind of responsibility that we've been taking. And if we've been doing something that's inauthentic, if we have been working towards that image that is more of a social image, it's more of an image that comes from not examining and ceasing the reenacting of that original karma that was present when we formed that seven-year-old vision. If we haven't gone through a process of really knowing ourselves, we actually want that, then that, that we've been pursuing that we may not actually want, just tends to fail or we can completely lose steam. A lot of times people will get fired or it will just not work out. So we get a lot of what we deserve. What have we been putting our energy into? So you could look at it like a quality inspection as well. We've been building a house, we've been working hard on it. Now in the 10th house, that house is completed and we have the inspection. And the inspection doesn't go well. That's when we know we have been building incorrectly. We've been building not according to our own plans. And then we have to go back and it's time to rebuild. So we have to start from the ground up with Saturn going through the 10th house if we find that we're unhappy with the results that we're receiving. So it's the peak of our efforts. And if our efforts haven't been in service to creativity, if they've just been in service to the furtherance of reactivity of karma, then I, um, there's going to be a huge reestablishment of what the hell we're doing with, uh, Saturn going through the 10th house.
Katie, uh, yeah, I, um, I was just wondering, so far, I've, I've only heard, um, you or other people describe Saturn, the Saturn returns and or Saturn in the 10th as like, it kind of either or, like it's either you got it right or you didn't get it right. Um, but is there, can there be among these many results, it's like just a mix of some good things and some bad things? Or, Oh, sure. Oh, sure. There can be a mix. For most people, they tend to experience one side more fully over the other because it's either we get an A or an F. But yeah, sometimes we can ex, sometimes we can get a C. That can happen. Um, I would say that that's more unusual, but that is possible to have a mixed bag. And I would say even in the most extreme situations, we're getting either an A or an F, we're still going to have some good or bad results, even if we got all A's or all F's, there could still be some shining moments in there because generally all of our efforts haven't been for nothing. But what kind of larger structure we're building and what, what are our ethics based on? That's what we're really getting hit with with Saturn in the 10th house. So does that help? I think I, I think I get what you're saying. Yeah, I'm just like, I'm just in terms of like the Saturn return I'm going through right now, it's like, in, I guess looking at that way, yeah, it does kind of, there is kind of an overarching answer of what is it, an A or an F, but it's just, I'm thinking like it could be so much worse. Like you could, I could think if someone could be going through like just ultimate annihilation and psychological performance or something like that. Which is good. Yeah, that tends to be more common with the with Saturn going over the midheaven than at the Saturn return because at the Saturn return, and yeah, depending on how old we are, because we could be younger than other people with Saturn going over the midheaven, but the Saturn return, a lot of times we haven't had enough time or enough life to build a significant structure. It's, uh, it's our prototype, our proto house, our proto life, and that's being rattled and tested. So if we do receive difficult results or difficult payback when we have the Saturn return, it is so much easier to redirect at that point in our life because we aren't, uh, entrenched in life like we are in our mid-30s and our 40s at the Saturn opposition, at the next Saturn return. Um, it is easier to pivot and to change when we're, you know, between 27, 30. There's still some flexibility there. So it's important to really start to do what we want at that point because you're setting yourself up for wonderful results if you really do start to uncover what some of the creative ideas about yourself really are. So, uh, yeah, Saturn at the midheaven, I've seen some people really fall from grace, but it's a, it's a much gentler process, the Saturn first return, not necessarily the second Saturn return, that can be a doozy because we may be getting a lot more results because if we didn't choose well, we didn't choose creatively during the Saturn return, the subsequent Saturn, uh, the transits, and if we continue to double and triple and quadruple down, and we can find ourselves extremely shattered at the second Saturn return. So that makes sense. Yeah, definitely. I, I, I did kind of equate the, the two things and they're not the same. I just realized. Yeah, they're not just, they're not the same. They can have similar results, but they're not exactly the same. Yeah, you got it.
All right, so let's look at Uranus. So I did, uh, mention Saturn is karma, Pluto is, uh, dark karma, Neptune is, uh, ultimate karma, and Uranus is super karma. And the 10th house, uh, when it comes into the 10th house, is going to be quite a while, about seven years to transit each sign or, yeah, super karma. That is a good album name, you're right, or a band name. Um, it will take about seven years to transit a typical 30-degree house. So, um, it's going to be a while that Uranus is working on us in a particular area of life. So we can have a massive lesson in action and reaction, how karma works. And this can come because the people around us, Uranus is our social system. It's how we participate in, uh, community and our followers, our fan club, our network of friendships. It is one of the bigger, it's the second to biggest wave that us is the stone creates, Neptune being the biggest wave. So we realize what rules we're playing by, um, and because the 10th house is the rules, it's the structure, it's the framework, with Uranus going through the 10th house, we can really come to realize that, oh, when you understand the rules, you have a different game, or if you change the rules, you have a different game. And what are the rules? So we're coming to understand how to choose to be ethical, how to choose to, uh, abide by rules, and and which are worth our time and our effort. A lot of times the rules are arbitrary and stupid and we don't need to follow them. And other times it's important that we follow them because it's going to enhance our social relationships and it's going to assist and help to keep the peace around the people, you know, for the people around us, and that affects us. I mean, who wants to live among chaos? So we understand how our own disruption is working with, uh, Uranus going through the 10th house. And we may upend what we have built. We may find a lot of conflict with the government, authorities, bosses, parents. Uh, if, if our 10th house is a house that we should not have been wasting our time building, then it's going to be, it will be exploded with Uranus going through the 10th house. And if you keep like repairing it and putting plaster on it and I'm going to shore it up and call somebody, do some repairs over here, that thing is going to be blown off the planet in some kind of tornado or hurricane or a landslide or a hole could open up and suck it into the ground. Anything could happen. Oh, Tanya, she has some real life experience with this one. Yeah, we have got to welcome changes with Uranus going through the 10th house because what is being obliterated, need to, it needed to go. It needed to go. We don't have to worry that what was destroyed was something that we really should have kept. And the way that we unconsciously act regarding those goals, regarding authority figures, regarding government, that is bringing these results. This is a damn hard thing to see with Uranus going through the 10th house. We have to welcome changes. We have to welcome progress, or else we just feel opposed and like everybody is turned against us. Our social relationships can fail if we are not being authentic. We could be canceled with Uranus going through the 10th house and have to come back from that. Um, we have to reestablish our reputation, oftentimes based on something we really want to be. So there can be a massive buttload of karma with Uranus in the 10th house. So if we go into this knowing that, um, the input that we receive is a direct result of our output, we could actually have tremendous success with Uranus going through the 11th house. We could have amazing karma coming to us. We could even become well-known or famous within our own social circle. I mean, really establish communal societal support, really secure, um, relationships in our lives that makes sense to us.
Kate, did you have a question or something to add? Yeah, I had something to add. Jewel, I have, um, uh, Uranus going over the fourth house cusp, going back and forth over the fourth house cusp, and my expectation was that it was gonna shake up family and home, right? But what I've, and I'm different. Well, the funny thing is, there are a lot of renovations around here around my home that are not to do with me. I'm in an apartment block and they're doing all renovations. So that is happening. But what I've discovered, which was completely unexpected to me, was that it seemed to be shaking up the MC, you know? And I didn't actually do it. Yeah, I know. I wasn't kind of geared for that mentally. I was, I was thinking I was gonna be family, home, family, home. But no, it's actually the MC end of it because it's an opposition to it that is shaking up. I, I want to show you this brief story, and it is so, it is kind of like it's an opposite to my MC. Now, this literally has happened in the last couple of days, okay? And I, I think this will illustrate what you're saying about things in the 10th house getting sucked into the black hole if people are doing it on the wrong footing, basically. The principal in my school had decided, well, no, three senior leaders in my school have been told they've only got one more year left at our school. They'd basically been, basically been fired, but got one more like, we're not renewing your contract, guys. And the three of them got together to, um, bring down our school, basically, in that year. So they, so one of them is moving to a new job, okay, in the city that I'm in. And I'm actually in Shanghai. So one of them was moving to a new job, but the other two, they'd come up with a plan to destabilize our school, create chaos, create uncertainty. It's a private school, so parents are paying this, right? So to create chaos, to, um, make a lot, you know, bring in a lot of decisions that we're not making educational sense. And we're like, what the hell is this? It was like they were trying to scupper the ship, right? Now, two days ago, the principal who's leaving to go to the new job, and he'd planned, he'd got a list of all the people he wanted to take with him from our school in terms of staff, the numbers of students they wanted to pull from our current school to bring to his new school. He accidentally published it in a group. We, not we have, we have WeChat. We have WeChat, right? So it was a group. We come, it was in a work WeChat. Like we have, we call it's like WhatsApp, okay? But it was a group, it was it was a group, uh, professional one in the school. He sent the document with all these plans by mistake to the wrong group. And then he recalled it, but not before a whole load of people had saved it, okay? So, br, here's the government aspect that. So the, the organization that runs your school are like, what the hell? And they got in contact with the government. So his new job has been canceled. And so canceled. And the government has revoked his visa. He's got 30 days to leave the country. And his wife, his wife, his wife is a principal in another school. His daughter is a prince, is going to another school. So his whole family, that's his, he's going to suffer. Yeah, well, that can happen. That can be dominoes. Yeah. I wonder if he hasn't understand. And here's the other thing. Here's the, the other thing is now, here's the where the Uranus thing comes in, is that, um, a lot of us, like, so a lot of us are teachers or lower down the scale, or like, what the hell? They're trying to tear apart our school. We love our school. We love our kids. We've been working really hard to make a really good, um, thing here. And we're not going to let these people at the top destroy it. And it's coalesced our sense of community spirit. I love it. So also another Uranus thing. Yeah. So, so, so there you go. So that's, yeah. And sudden, and like, what the hell, this is like some unbelievable storm. So that, yes, well, Uranus is always unexpected. It is always what.
is unpredictable and that's part of um understanding reality is that there's a large component that is unpredictable. we can have a good framework for things, but if we get too convinced that we really can know everything, that's usually an illusion.
so realizing the chaos of things um and that's a fact of life, uh that's a big part of uranus stuff. so yeah, chaos is something that we can make. uh we can create within the tenth house environment or the fourth house. we could create chaos or experience chaos within the fourth house environment when it's going over the fourth um and then we have to look at that, how is our uh causing our participation in chaos um a lesson that we need to really look at. and our own reactivity is always going to be a tenth house thing, a uranus thing because uranus is that um uh the the team player. it's uh opposite to the fifth house of the game. uranus is how we all play the game.
tanya had a comment, well tanya, regarding citizenship that actually could be successful because uranus is uh foreign things and things that are not known to us, things are unfamiliar to us, unfamiliar places, and that is coming into the 10th house of permanency and of structure and of nationalism. so it actually could be something that could be very successful. but i would be very deliberate about your behavior. i would really look like somebody who i, that particular country would want to accept. i'm if we are behaving ourselves or acting cooperatively because because we don't want to be fake, we don't need to be fake, we want to be authentic, but we also want to acknowledge that there are consequences for choosing to live in any one place and among any one people and among any one family.
um then we're we're choosing a lot of those consequences. we're choosing a lot of the rules that we we choose to live by. if you don't like the rules, sometimes you have to upend yourself and go somewhere else because we can't wait for others or the environment or the government or uh or family to change the rules. we change the rules of our game by being proactive ourself. we start a new ripple. so it could be entirely possible that it could go well uh depending on how you are uh putting yourself out there. so i would have hope that that could turn out.
let's talk about neptune. so particularly when neptune is going over the mid heaven, we become disillusioned with career. we do not know what we want. we don't know where we're going. we're floating with no plan, no goal, no direction. so if we have been identified with what we do, if we're like um, you know, somebody who when we introduce ourself, we make sure that we tell people, you know, what we do for a living, or we want to use our title um, if we're identified with what we've built for ourselves or the uh the clown suit that we all put on when we go to work, that's when we can have a lot of issues with neptune at the midheaven because we just melt down regarding what we've been looking working for. it's a complete an annihilation of our goals and nihilism is so powerfully strong as it's crossing the midheaven and going through the 10th house, particularly crossing the midheaven.
maximum amount of [Music] unanswered questions with uh neptune going over this point. a nihilism. yes. katie, yes. so we find out that we've been deceived either by ourselves or by the world or by family or by the past about what we should be achieving, what we've been putting our money and our efforts and our time into. we may see that our job or the organization or the institution that we've been getting dedicating ourselves to is corrupt. we may be um we may be deceived about what we thought was worth achieving, how we wanted to spend our time and [Music] could really look at, is it institutions that make men great and women great, or is it men and women who make institutions great? and we're going to want to find a broader purpose. we're going to want to go beyond worldly goods, the building a worldly reputation. this is a very spiritual transit. we have maximum spirituality coming over coming over maximum material materiality with the the 10th house, particularly the midheaven. so we have an unraveling ego. the 10th house is where ego becomes very constructive.
um so let me look at this here. that tanya asks, would neptune trans would actually be delusion, disillusionment rather than causing the illusion? yes, absolutely, absolutely. that's a great way to put it. is that um what we have been participating in, we become disillusioned in or by. where neptune on the seventh, we can be experiencing more illusion, which could turn to dissolution on the second half of the transit. but we have more disillusion, which could lead to the building of better or more encompassing or meaningful dreams. for some people, it could lead to more illusion if they go through that disillusionment process, they still don't know themselves, and then they just choose to build more insanity. they build more karma for themselves, and there's a banging our head up against the brick wall that we realize in the 10th house, and we may rebuild a brick wall for ourselves um if we are airing on the difficult side of neptune. so we have to look at what is worth achieving, find a broader purpose and reputation and status, and find meaning in things that are actually meaningful. this can be a terribly, terribly sensitizing transit. we could become i'm more in tune with nature, with ourselves. we could become more in service to humanity at large, maybe change what we're doing to have some kind of reverberating social purpose, or we feel like we're making a difference. that's what we need. we need to feel like we're making some kind of a difference instead of just wasting our time pursuing selfish goals with neptune going through the 10th house.
so let's look at pluto also a karmic delivery planet. um it goes into the tenth house and as it goes over the midheaven, this could be in your ninth or your eleventh, but as it goes over the the midheaven, that's going to be the peak of the wandering that can happen. pluto with the tenth house can really obliterate or at the midheaven, particularly can obliterate what we have built. so if we do not understand how karma works, then we can really be having a long period of lack of consistent wealth, lack of consistent material security, lack of consistent work, lack of consistent support. for some of us, this could be a long period of time. um but it is much more acute as pluto's crossing the midheaven. so we have to take back self-control. that's what we have to understand. we have to take control of our life. we will feel like people hate us, the government hates us, bosses won't hire us, the world is at large just a shitty place to be. and we have to realize that if we're waiting on the world to change, we're going to be waiting a long ass time. so we have to i we have to really look at the kind of judgments that we're making about the world and about others. are those judgments actually fair or accurate or true? and we have to look at how is our own deep-seated resentment driving a lot of the judgments that we make, the ways that we see other people, the ways that we engage other people with other people, consequently the kind of reactions that we get, and do we continue to pick up those reactions and rinse wash repeat, rinse wash repeat? we may understand finally how we can break the cycle with pluto going through the 10th house.
so if karma is still in control, if we have not become self-possessed, then we just feel like a slave of the environment and of the world. but we could come to feel resolute, personally capable, powerful in uh right decisions. we could really come to understand the nature of karma with pluto going through the 10th house. for some people, that can take a long time to really burn through that lesson. we can feel ganged up on, and we really need to understand the rules and to decide to ethically play by those rules. and again, those are typically rules that we choose for ourself.
let's see. uh tanya, i realize it's different, but i'm having pluto scoring my saturn right now, and it's closed doors everywhere. would that be similar to pluto midheaven? it is similar. it's very similar um because that's a reestablishment of what is worth working towards, and that is less specific. no, no, i wouldn't take the fact that is more specific of pluto to saturn transit. pluto going through the 10th is more overarching transit that will cover all the areas of the of of the life of the 10th house. saturn is more specific to the kind of behavior that you are putting out there, the kind of behavior that you're using to get the kind of life that you want. so pluto is more working specifically on behavior, not uh outlook, career. it's not such a it's not such a broad transit with pluto just transiting saturn itself. so to really look at ethics and selfishness and give and take and oh yeah, there's a lot of karma in that one. but the more that you can really, really understand the ripple effect, the more you can have any transit of pluto to saturn actually go very, very well.
kate, did you have something? yes, sorry. uh jul. yeah, i just wanted to ask about pluto's square to the mc. is what is that? what is that like? is that yeah, is that well, that would be a transit from pluto over the seventh house or around there, or more close to the first house. yeah, i know somebody's got it in the first house, square to them, right? so it's it that's going to be something that's going to be affecting both the midheaven and the the ascendant itself. so that's a a different way of uh having a breakdown of the tenth house. but there's still going to be a lot of friction, a lot of opposition, and specifically because we're gonna have square thinking that accompanies that. square thinking is, this is what's happened to me, and this is what i'm identified with, and these are my wounds, and my, you know, the factors that were there in my upbringing. so there's a lot to do with our limitations, and then this is what i want. and so we can choose at that point to dissect and go more towards what we want, or we can fall back onto those um those old meanings that we give to things. so there's a big lesson in taking proper responsibility for their life. but because it's a square, there may be even more uh possibility of getting fired or being opposed. but the lesson, but the lesson is to learn that the opposition that you're seeing in others is actually your own conflict from your own wound. yeah, yeah, that's always the the lesson, but it comes in myriad forms. it can come in the form of pluto. they come in the form, and and that could be jail, that could be fines, that could be our reputation being maligned um when it's happening within the tenth house. uh with uranus, it's more explosions and things that have to do with the potential consequences in our social system. the saturn's more specific to career and our status, reputation, when people think about us, our own self-esteem. uh is so there's always a a chance to understand our relationship to things. and this especially with the outer plan that they're teaching us is how are we in relationship um so yeah, that can be a tough lesson with pluto in a difficult aspect to the midheaven, any which way you slice it. okay, thanks. thanks, joe.
um, so learning the source of our own impulse to control, that's that's basically what it comes down to. pluto in any aspect to the manhattan or going through the tenth house. uh what do we really want to own? do we do we own our own stuff? if we don't own our own staff, if we don't own our own darkness, then that's what we tend to outsource. that's what we tend to see in others, and we will admit that, and then others will reflect the results of that back. so pluto is what we have to know that we own, even if we don't want to own it. if we know we do, then we have power, control over that. um, yeah, so we're ultimately just taking back self-control. we can absolutely hate bosses and authority figures though during this period of time when pluto is going through the 10th house, and we can receive a lot of that hatred back. so oh, it's not an easy one. we can really resist a lot of the humbling insights that need to happen with pluto going through the 10th, especially over the midheaven, but it is a long, slow burn, and maybe eventually we'll come to appreciate and actually internalize some of those humiliating insights that we can come to.
