Tiny Green Day

Ross Cameron - Warrior Trading6:46

What's up, everyone? Welcome to day 21 of my small account challenge of growing a $2,000 account using Charles Schwab as my broker. Today is a small green day. We had one stock that started to pull away, but other than that one little opportunity, the day was very cold. We're kind of in a market where it's hot, cold, hot, cold. One day we have a couple of great catalysts. We have multiple stocks that go up 200, 300%, and then the next day it's crickets. There's nothing.

Now, I wore my good luck green shirt today. In fact, I've got a green shirt for every day of the week. The link is pinned to the top of the comment if you too want to own a green shirt. Someone was saying, "Ross, with all these people buying green shirts, this must, without a doubt, be helping support the sentiment in the market." And I said, "That's absolutely true. Green shirts like this are going to give traders a lot of confidence, but these green shirts only just started shipping out this week. They haven't arrived. And so, people don't have the confidence yet. That will come from wearing such a powerful shirt, a token of good luck in the market."

All right. So, make sure you check out your green shirt, which you can wear every day of the week. Now, again, if we jump onto the screen share, as you know, all the profits from these small account challenges gets donated to charity, and we have now raised over $372,000 through a combination of the money that I've been making in the trading accounts, plus each time you guys hit the thumbs up, I add an extra dollar to how much we donate. So, this is part of the goal of the 50 state children's hospital donation campaign, to donate to a hospital in every state in the United States.

So, day 21, nothing was obvious today. Our leading gapper, yeah, it was up 50%. Second leader, 37%. Third leader, 34%. These are small gappers. The prices weren't ideal. The floats weren't perfect. So, TGHL, price a little too cheap, float's a little high. VEEE, price a little high, float's fine. ATAI, price is fine, float's too high. IQST, price is too low. You know, so this is kind of the issue.

And then ding ding ding ding ding, we get a scanner alert right after 8:30 because at 8:30 Ruby, this is the ticker, comes out with a headline of estimates net assets value uh to 183 million, a 94% increase from the previously reported year. So, the stock starts squeezing up. And in an instant, it goes up uh 22%, then 95%, 126%, goes up 130%, and it just shoots right up. Now, what's interesting is that this stock has actually hit the scanner a couple of times in previous trading sessions. But on those days, there were other stocks that people were focusing on. So, it didn't really get that much attention. But today, for lack of anything else to trade, all of a sudden you get this big squeeze.

However, uh as you can see, it got one move right here, and then it pulled back for a bull flag, and then it failed below VWAP, failed more, came back up, was it going to curl and then rally back to the high? Nope, couldn't do that either. It rolled over even more. So, we'll talk about that in a second, but uh I ended up locking up a total of $587.78 on this stock. And so, the way I traded it is I got in it for the break of six. I got a little slippage with my entry a little over 6.15, and then as it squeezed up to seven, 7.50, and then and then up to eight, I started taking profit off the table. I took half off the table uh with a nice profit, uh and then the other half I sold as it came back down.

So, when we look at the filings, so we this is the chart right now. So, you can see the big pop, the pullback. So, it went up literally 130% in about 5 minutes, a 5-minute candle, but it's now come down to being up only 35%. We've got a larger topping tail. It's not ideal.

Now, if we look at the filings on this, uh no, not that one. Um let's see, we'll do it right here. So, if we look at the filings on Ruby, um we can see that this is a stock that unfortunately does have a registration to sell shares on the market. The current float is quite low, but clearly they intend to sell more shares to raise money. The stock has a history of doing reverse splits because the stock price keeps going lower and lower. It's in the energy and fossil fuel sector, so not the hottest sector. But, on the other hand, because of all these reverse splits, it's been beaten up so much that yesterday uh or actually this morning, no yesterday, was the lowest price the stock has ever traded at. So, in a sense, you couldn't buy it any lower.

Now, could this pop up and give you a nice squeeze? You know, in theory, it could and that's kind of what we were playing on is that maybe we get a nice bounce off the low. And we've had stocks that give us a bounce off the low, and then one day, you know, you get this big move. However, so this day was from $30 to $85 a share, not adjusted for the split. But, then they do an offering and it sells off. So, that's kind of the problem. They're short-lived opportunities, shorts can get squeezed, but it didn't end up happening today. The sentiment in the market was just a little too cold, I guess. Um not enough people wearing their green shirts today. Too much red out there.

So, you look, it is what it is. Uh broke the ice, got that one trade, and and that was it. I was watching as it curled back up to the VWAP right here. Maybe I was like, "Oh, this could work." But, then it just rejected again and and went lower. So, you know, unfortunately, not a big green day for me, but um you know, look, not every day is going to be a green big green day. Um as long as I'm making slow and steady progress, that's the name of the game, and I'm doing it.

So, account is now at $29,471, and that's up over 1,300%. I've taken 49 trades with 77% accuracy with the average trade being around 500 bucks. So, I'm making good progress, and I'm going to keep it up. And all the profit gets donated to charity. So, I feel good about this and we're going to see you know where I can take the account to next. So, you know, this is it's an account for charity. All the profits get donated to charity and so that feels good.

So, you guys again, I hope you hit the thumbs up. Help me raise this money. You know, again, I mean I'm it's all from the account that I'm uh you know, growing. You're not you guys aren't actually donating money. I mean, it'd be great if you did, but I understand. But, each time you hit the thumbs up, I add an extra dollar out of my own pocket and you know, we're doing it for a good cause. So, thank you guys for being part of this and if you haven't checked out the two-week trial or you haven't checked out the green shirt, check those things out and I'll see you guys back at it first thing tomorrow morning streaming at 7:00 a.m. But, a reminder as always trading is risky and my results are not typical. So, please manage your risk, take it slow, and always practice in a simulator before putting real money on the line.
