Hey there, it's Clay. And in this video, we're going to be talking about why your ex may have unblocked you after a year, after a long time. What does it mean? And should you perhaps think about contacting them? Let's get into that.
But first, my name is Clay with Modern Love.life. We help you get the great, loving relationship that you're looking for without having to play mind games, without having to play hard to get, and without having to pretend to be someone or something that you are not. Because you deserve to be loved for the unique, amazing, and wonderful person that you are. And if you agree with me, do me a favor by giving this video a thumbs up and by subscribing to this YouTube channel.
Also, I did want to let you know that we are talking about emotional connections and we are talking about kind of clearing away some of the obstacles that, uh, uh, you may experience when it comes to connecting with your ex. So if you do want to learn more about all of that, we do have our course called The Ex Solution Program. You can find that down in the description box below. Check it out if it seems like it's a good fit for you. Sign up. If not, no worries.
Okay, so, um, this, this might happen to you. Uh, actually, this video is actually inspired by a question that I got from someone. And, uh, you know, that is, what, what does it mean if, you know, your ex blocked you for some reason, and then after a period of time, a year, whatever, they suddenly unblock you? What is, what does that mean? And the truth is, is that there could be any number of reasons why they did this. You know, maybe they were just going through their, theirs, their settings, their people that they blocked, or something, and they realized like, "Oh, hey, I'm holding on to grudges. Maybe I need to let go of grudges." Um, maybe they have worked through whatever issues that were causing them to block you in the first place. Maybe they had a change of heart. Maybe they're hoping that you'll contact them. Maybe they're thinking of contacting you themselves. There could be all sorts of reasons why they might have potentially unblocked you.
And the, the, the thing here is that, like, we could sit here and speculate endlessly about maybe what they're thinking, why they did it, why they didn't do it, what they're going to do, why they didn't contact you, why they are contacting you, all this sort of stuff. But at the end of the day, all we know is you are blocked, and now you're not blocked. Okay? The real question here is, what are you going to do about it, right? What do you want to do now? Do you want to get back together with them? Do you want to talk with them? Do you want to see where they're at emotionally? Or are you just like, "Nope, don't, don't, don't want to go down that road again"? Whatever you choose to do, it's totally fine. But, you know, make sure that this is a check-in that you actually do, and that you choose to do, um, based off of your own values and what's most important to you, right?
So, like, we often talk about bringing yourself into alignment with the kind of life and the kind of relationship that you want to live. And I want you to definitely do that. So, would getting back in contact with your ex bring you into alignment with the kind of life and the kind of relationship you want to have? If so, maybe it's worth it to get back in contact. And just, uh, you know, you can either just send them a message, just reaching out casually. You know, you can even, even be kind of, you know, coy about it and say like, "Hey stranger, I saw you unblocked me," or something like that. Um, it kind of depends on where you and them left things, you know? If you, if the two of you left things on pretty reasonable terms, it can totally make sense for them, for you to contact them in that sort of coy sort of way.
If things are a little bit tense, maybe the two of you were fighting a lot or something like that, maybe that's why they blocked you. You might want to be a little bit more, you know, casual about it and, and not necessarily call them out directly, at least not yet. But at least establish some degree of rapport with them first. Um, and, you know, basically my advice for you at this particular junction in time is to just take on a curious stance. To try to get to understand where they're at, where they're coming from, what are their motivations, uh, where that in their life, where they at in their relationship life? Are they single? Are they in a relationship with someone else? Maybe they're married. I don't know. But we need to know where they're at before we start to get too far ahead of ourselves, too far invested in, you know, potentially getting back together with them or whatever. We need to know where they're at.
So, just show up without an attachment to outcome, just curious about getting to know who this person is and where they're at. And if the two of you even have some sort of rapport with one another, some ability to connect with one another, some ability to actually have something in common or anything like that. Because obviously, if you don't have the ability to connect, or there, you don't have anything in common anymore after, you know, if it's been a long time or something like that, then it's kind of a moot point. And we don't want to necessarily get our hopes up for something just to have them, like, you know, leveled when it when we find out, you know, "Oh yeah, well, they have gone into some sort of terrible downward spiral and like, we just aren't compatible anymore," or something like that. Like, I don't want that to happen to you.
So, just take on that curious stance. Don't let your expectations get too far down the road, and just discover who this person might be. I know that there are a lot of people who might tell you not to contact your ex first because, you know, it's some sort of sign of weakness or something like that. And first of all, if you are playing some sort of game where you want to seem all-powerful or something like that, uh, okay, this is probably not the right channel for you. You might want to go check out some of these other guys. But, um, I, I'm not interested in helping you be all-powerful. Uh, mostly because I don't know how to make you all-powerful. But, um, I'm interested in helping you have the kind of relationship where you can just relax into your partner's arms and know that they love you for who you are.
And the best way to do that is to just be transparent about who you are and what it is that you're looking for. And come across in a genuine, authentic way, without having to puff yourself up to make it seem like you're confident when maybe you're not, or not having to give up what you actually want because you think that you have to make them happy in order to, um, in order for them to, you know, reciprocate and make you happy. But what I want you to do is I want you to just genuinely express what you're feeling, genuinely express what your wants and needs are. And as you do this, you're going to find out very, very quickly if the two of you have the possibility of creating the kind of relationship or connection that you really want.
Because if they can't accept you as a genuine expression of who you are, but, and, you know, I mean, truly genuine, not like driven by fear and panic and all that stuff that people often find themselves in immediately after a breakup, you know, damage control mode. But once you settle your emotions down, and, and when you bring yourself as genuinely and authentically to the interaction as possible, if they accept you for who you are, then okay, great. You know that you now have the ability to be loved for who you are with this person. You know that there's definitely that possibility for the connection there between the two of you. And great, go ahead and feel things out. And if it seems like there's a possibility there, take it and run with it.
But if you have to put on some sort of mask and play cool, play like you don't care, or something like that, then, um, you're probably gonna have to wear that mask for the rest of any relationship that you do have with them. So it's better to find out sooner rather than later. Cut that off without having to invest too much time or effort, only to find out, you know, months or years down the road that, "Hey, I can't be myself with you." Um, and create space in your life for someone that you can be yourself with anyway.
So again, we, we, we don't know why your ex unblocked you. Maybe they were in a relationship and that relationship ended and they want to see what's possible with you. Maybe they're working up the nerve to contact you. Maybe they're hoping that you see it and contact them. Maybe they're just kind of putting the past behind them. Maybe, I don't know, maybe the, the app updated on its own and it like resets some settings. I don't know. And the truth is, neither do you. The only person who really knows why they did that is them.
The real question is, what are you going to do about it? What do you want to do about it? What sort of connection do you want to have with your ex, if any connection at all? And the truth is, if you do want to have an emotional connection with them where you can be authentic and fully expressed for who you are, you might be interested in our course called The Ex Solution Program. You can find a link for that down in the description box below. If it seems like it's a good fit for you, you're more than welcome to sign up.
