The theme of this video is car disaster preparedness sets, talking about disaster preparedness goods for your car. I think you might already know, but among you, are there people who think that just packing a commercially available car disaster preparedness set, like a 20-piece set, is enough and you'll be perfectly fine? Are you okay? I think you understand this, but if you try to face a major earthquake with only commercially available disaster preparedness sets, you will face quite a tragic situation. And when you actually become a disaster victim, you'll realize that the goods you packed in your car were insufficient. You'll think, "Ah, it would have been good to have that," or "Oh no, I'm in trouble because of this." I don't want you to cry, so in this video, Takaoka has carefully selected the goods you should pack in your car. I want to deliver 30 items at once. And all of these goods are things that, when you think about it, you realize you'd be in quite a bind if you didn't pack them. So please watch until the end. I'll be introducing 30 items, but some of you might have cars where there's no space to put everything. The size and space you can fit in your car vary greatly from person to person, so if I consider that, I won't be able to talk about anything. Therefore, I will ignore how much free space you have and introduce the goods. Second is this. We're assuming that you'll be evacuating with four people crammed into a kei car. If that's the case, the conversation becomes strange. So, we're assuming one or two people are in the car. Also, it says PHV. If you have a car like a Mitsubishi Outlander PHV, which has an infinite power source and can output a lot of electricity from its battery, the situation changes. So, we'll be talking about ordinary cars. Third, we'll focus on earthquakes. So, we won't be introducing goods for escaping from a car that's buried in an earthquake. Please understand. Fourth, we consider the possibility of being isolated and without connections. It's natural to think about this, and it's possible that you might have to endure for two or three weeks using only the goods in your car. However, if we extend that indefinitely, the conversation will become increasingly strange, and the direction of the goods we introduce will change. The first item is, of course, this. Bottled water. We start with the basics. Excuse me. Bottled water. I think many of you pack this, but it's absolutely essential, isn't it? If you don't have water, humans die quickly, so this is something you should prioritize packing. I've seen many people's car disaster preparedness kits, and many of them have an unbalanced amount of water, with less water and more other goods. However, if you don't have water, you will die. It's said that one person needs 3 liters a day, but please consider that and don't reduce the amount of water to increase other goods. Please pack plenty of water. It says it doesn't spoil. For more details, please watch my other video, "Don't Worry About Expiration Dates for Bottled Water." Bottled water, as long as the container is not damaged, is completely free of bacteria. Bacteria cannot multiply in it, so it will not spoil. Therefore, especially with water, it's basically made of the chemical substance H2O, which doesn't change at all. So, it won't spoil, and you can drink it even after the expiration date. So, please pack plenty of commercially available products in your car, and it's okay even if the expiration date passes. Please remember this. Here, it says water is a circle, tea is a triangle, and others are crosses. Bottled water, indeed, doesn't spoil. Bacteria don't multiply. However, if the contents are something other than water, they will oxidize or react and deteriorate. This reaction will progress, especially in hot conditions in the car during summer. Tea is marked as a triangle, but the taste of tea deteriorates over time if left for a long time. And for other things like juice, coffee, or cafe au lait, the contents will change even more, and they will become increasingly unpleasant. So, a little is okay, but if you plan to leave it for a long time, say a year, then water is the only option. So, please choose water. That was the first item. So, let's move on to the second item. The second item is this. Portable water purifier. The product shown in the image is a water purifier called "Mizu-kyu," which Takaoka Disaster Preparedness has tested and achieved excellent results with. It's a domestically produced product that Takaoka highly recommends. However, it doesn't have to be Mizu-kyu. The amount of water you can pack in your car is limited. In the worst-case scenario, even if you're not traveling, if you're somewhere far from home and don't know the area well, you might be forced to drink dirty water from a river, pond, or even a water tank. Considering this possibility, this very small, palm-sized device that attaches to a small plastic bottle can be a lifesaver. If you pack one, it's not just for good luck, but in the worst case, you can drink water after removing bacteria and dirt by passing it through this. So, I think it's worth packing one. The mechanism is filtration through very fine hollow fiber membranes. However, even so, these things are not good with direct sunlight, so it's best to store them under the rear seats where it's not too hot. So, please be careful about storage to avoid deterioration due to heat. Yes. And let's move on to the third item. The third item is this. Emergency food. It's dangerous. Following water, food is important. However, as written here, it says "Maximum difficulty." The image shows things like Alpha-Rice, biscuit-type items, and calorie mate-type items. Storing emergency food in a car is quite difficult. As I've said many times, cars get very hot in the summer, so how you deal with that is very important. Here, I'll briefly explain about storing food in high-temperature conditions. This is general knowledge, not applicable to all situations. When stored in high-temperature conditions in a car, emergency food, not perishable items like bento boxes or sandwiches, but rather items like emergency preserved food, will experience accelerated deterioration. The higher the temperature, the faster the deterioration process. So, deterioration accelerates. Therefore, if something has a shelf life of 5 years at room temperature, its actual shelf life will be shorter in high-temperature conditions. However, these items do not spoil. This is the tricky part. What does it mean to spoil? It means that bacteria multiply excessively inside, and if you eat it, you get food poisoning. That's what spoiling means. However, these items do not spoil. Long-term preserved foods do not contain bacteria, so although deterioration progresses, they do not spoil due to bacterial growth. Please remember this. Of course, if you store sandwiches, bento boxes, or sashimi, they will spoil in the hot car due to bacterial growth, and you will get food poisoning. But preserved food does not spoil. Please remember this. Third, be careful about moisture and oil content. Preserved foods vary, but those with a lot of water deteriorate faster than those that have dried out. This is called water activity. The more water a food contains, the faster it deteriorates. So, dried foods are better. Similarly, foods with a lot of oil will deteriorate faster at high temperatures. So, the key is to choose foods with less moisture and oil. Please be careful about these two. So, what's good? As I showed various images earlier, vacuum-sealed items with oxygen absorbers are good. In the absence of oxygen, even at high temperatures, the deterioration reaction does not progress much. Dried foods are recommended. Items like Alpha-Rice, which are completely sealed in aluminum pouches, contain oxygen absorbers, and are completely dry, with zero humidity, are recommended. Also, items like Mire biscuits, which have low oil content, are generally recommended. So, ultimately, while trying various things is fine, items specifically labeled for car use are the safest. These are designed to withstand high temperatures. So, car-specific items are recommended. For those who want to pack other items, long-term preserved foods that are vacuum-sealed and dried are recommended. There are various options, such as 5-year or 10-year shelf life items. Please try to replace them a little earlier than the stated expiration date. Please keep this in mind. So, we've finished talking about water and food. Let's move on to the fourth item. The fourth item is this. Emergency toilet set. This is absolutely essential. You might have one or two for carrying in your disaster preparedness pouch, but if you're going to spend 2-3 days in a disaster situation in your car, you'll need a toilet set with a sufficient quantity. However, if you pack a 100-piece set in your car, you won't be able to use it all in 2-3 days. It's said that each person uses about 5 times a day, and this amount varies from person to person, so you should check it yourself. But I think it's good to have about a 15-piece or 30-piece set. There are various companies that sell emergency toilet sets, but as I've said many times, the smell from the bags after use is very strong. Some companies claim to be odor-eliminating or deodorizing, but the smell leaks out terribly. However, this product, "Boss" by Kurilon Kasei, which I am holding, truly does not leak any smell. I've tested many products, and this one really doesn't leak any smell. Also, the solidifying agent works very well. Some other companies' solidifying agents don't work at all, but this one contains a solidifying agent that works properly. So, this is the product that Takaoka Disaster Preparedness most recommends. So, please consider getting a 15-piece or 30-piece set. The size is just right for packing in a car. Please consider how many people will be using it and how many times you might need it, and purchase one of these. I highly recommend it. Now, we've talked about emergency toilet sets, but the question is, how do you actually use them in your car? So, for the fifth item to pack, the fifth item is this. A low-seat assembly toilet. What does this mean? Depending on the disaster situation, you might find yourself in various circumstances. For example, if you evacuate to a shelter by car, the toilets in the shelter might be so dirty and unusable. Or, in any other situation, you might have to use the toilet in your car, or it might be better to use it in your car. In such situations, if you have the Kurilon Kasei emergency toilet set, how do you use it in your car? It's quite difficult to get into a proper posture. Everyone, please try to experiment with using the toilet in your car, even if it's just for a moment. If you have a large car like a Hiace or Alphard, it's fine, but if you try to do it in a regular sedan or SUV, it's quite difficult to get into a proper posture. You might end up sitting in a cramped space in the back seat, and it becomes very difficult. I originally thought of a low-seat assembly toilet. Something like this "Slele" product, which is about 16 cm high. If you assemble something like this in your car and place it on the seat, you can use it while sitting. It might be a bit awkward, but I thought it would be possible. With one of these, your car becomes a private toilet, and you can use it quite comfortably. Of course, if there are two people, you might have to say, "Excuse me, let me switch for a moment." But having a low-seat assembly toilet like this would be great. However, while Slele is good, I found something even better. That's why it's marked with a question mark here. Please look at the next product. This is actually the product I recommend the most in this video. I even urge you to buy it. It's this. Surele Kurumaru. This is, well, a chamber pot, but this product is quite good, so I'll introduce it now. It's called Kurumaru, and there are three colors: green, blue, and pink. I actually have it in my hand. This product is essentially a chamber pot. It's a very compact, low-seat chamber pot, much lower than the Slele I mentioned earlier. So, you can use it while sitting on the car seat. However, it's a bit thin, so if you're going to create a "Mt. Fuji" with it, it might touch your buttocks. But with this, I've actually tried it, and it's really easy to use for both urination and defecation. I've tried various postures in the past, and this makes a big difference. So, if you don't have one or haven't prepared one, please buy it. As I mentioned, it's a chamber pot inside, but you can open it and take it apart. You can place a waste bag inside and then cover it with the seat. Of course, you can also cover it completely with plastic and use it with a waste bag. However, as you can see, it's completely colored inside. You can store Kurilon Kasei's Boss 15-piece or 30-piece set in here. The box won't fit entirely, so you'll have to take it apart, but by storing it in here, it becomes a compact emergency toilet set. So, I highly recommend this. And as written at the very end, considering the difficult disaster situations and car evacuations, having this will make things much less difficult. So, please consider purchasing it. It's not that expensive, I think you can buy it for around 3,000 yen. So, please consider purchasing it. Yes. And next. The sixth item to pack in your car is this. Toilet paper. We're still talking about toilets. Yes, toilet paper. Most emergency toilet sets, regardless of the company, do not include toilet paper. So, you'll be in trouble without it. And even outside of using the toilet, having toilet paper makes things much easier. I'm showing a 5x roll here, but multi-roll packs like 2x or 3x rolls are more convenient because you can use them a lot. So, please pack one roll of toilet paper. Yes, that's the sixth item. And next. Let's go to the seventh item. The seventh item is this. Disposable heat packs. This is marked as "spring type," but this is only for winter. Cars get cold, you know. And even if the air conditioning is on, you won't be able to use it all the time. You probably won't have enough fuel. So, if you don't have these, you'll have to spend the night shivering in the cold. So, please buy a box of these. And don't forget to pack the ones for your feet. There are types that you stick on and types that you don't. But the ones you stick on are better for sleeping because you can stick them on your body and sleep warmly. They are more stable, so I recommend the stick-on type. And for the ones for your feet, recently, there are many products that you stick on the instep of your socks, rather than the sole of your foot. Personally, I prefer sticking them on the instep because my soles don't get itchy, and if you walk long distances, it's easier to walk with them on the instep. So, I personally recommend the instep type. But anyway, considering winter, please prepare heat packs. That's the seventh item. Yes. Next, let's go to the eighth item. The eighth item is this. Aluminum sheet. This is also for dealing with the cold in winter. Of course, if you have sleeping bags or compressed blankets, or even non-compressed blankets, and you can pack them in your car, then those are better, and you should prioritize them. However, many people cannot pack sleeping bags, so for those people, aluminum sheets are the answer. There are also products that are already in a sleeping bag shape, but it's quite difficult to use a sleeping bag type in the limited space of a car. If you plan to lie down completely flat in the back seat, then a sleeping bag type is fine. But for those who have to sleep in the driver's seat or elsewhere, it's more comfortable to use two sheets, or an aluminum poncho and a foot sheet. So, consider sleeping in a way other than a sleeping bag type. That's the eighth item, aluminum sheet. Yes. Next, let's go to the ninth item. The ninth item is this. Gap cushion and pillow. Excuse me. I've accidentally shown a personal item that's not a disaster preparedness item. But please, everyone, regardless of how you might end up sleeping in your car, try to take a nap in your car during peaceful times. For me, I can't sleep in the driver's seat without these two. First, I need to place this long cushion on my lower back, otherwise, if I just lie down for a bit, my back will become stiff. I've learned this from sleeping many times. So, this is essential. Also, I ride in a car with quite a hard headrest, so considering that, I need a soft, low-resilience pillow. I'm using one that my child no longer needs. I can't sleep without it. So, if you think you might have to sleep in the driver's seat, try taking a nap now and think about what kind of cushion you need. Many people now try to sleep in the back seat by folding it down. You can find specialized gap cushions for this online. There are cushions that perfectly fill the gaps that form when you try to flatten the space, for example, for a Prius. So, there are specialized ones. If you're considering those, please take a look. Yes, that's the ninth item. Yes. And let's move on to the tenth item. The tenth item is this. Eye mask and earplugs. This is related to the previous item. Many people might have these in their disaster preparedness pouch, but without them, the car's interior is not that strong, and it can be difficult to sleep. Considering the light that comes in, many people cannot sleep without an eye mask. So, please prepare these two. As for earplugs, I don't think you need to buy expensive ones. You can buy them in sets of two or four for around 500 yen at some places, but the performance and quality are not that different. You can buy them at 100-yen shops or in bulk sets of 50 online. You can never have too many of these, so it's fine to buy them cheaply. That's the tenth item, eye mask and earplugs. Yes. And let's move on to the eleventh item. The eleventh item is this. Window blackout sheets. This is a very important item, so I'll introduce it with a bit more emphasis. Have you prepared blackout sheets? Even if you're not car camping, if you evacuate by car and spend time in a place where people can see you, these are absolutely necessary. In past disasters like the Great Hanshin Earthquake and the Kumamoto Earthquake, look at the footage. Cars evacuated to school grounds are desperately trying to cover their windows with bath towels or their own large clothes, or trying to force them in somehow to create a makeshift blackout. But it's quite difficult and troublesome to do. If you are caught in a disaster without these blackout sheets, you'll end up with a situation where you're constantly looking for towels and bath towels, which is very inconvenient. So, please prepare them from the beginning. The ones I bought are very compact and don't take up much space. Mine came with about four sheets. I'll spread them out a bit. These are quite large sheets individually. There are sets of two or three sheets, but these are easy to attach. Some of them are spread out like this. This one has a metal fitting at the very end. Most cars have these. If you look at the pillars or the frame of your car, there's a gap. If you bend this fitting slightly and insert it into the gap, it fits quite snugly. Then, by pressing this button and adjusting the length, you can create a blackout. These sheets are sold quite cheaply. I strongly recommend preparing them in advance. They are usually sold in sets of three or two sheets, but with just a set of two, you can't completely cover all the windows. So, consider your car and buy the necessary number of sheets. The attachment method I mentioned earlier was inserting the fitting into the gap between the pillars, but there are various types. There are magnetic types, rail types, and others. They vary greatly depending on the car, and the sizes are also abundant. I've included product links here, but please consider them as a reference. Please prepare the ones that fit your car. And excuse me, I'm showing sunshades. Many people have sunshades in their cars. Most sunshades are the folding type that you unfold and place on the windshield. However, in recent years, the umbrella-type sunshade has become recognized as a good product. Excuse me. I've just put it down haphazardly, so it's very messy. But originally, it can be made more compact. It's like a folding umbrella. When you open it like a folding umbrella, it looks like this. It can cover the entire windshield at once. Honestly, compared to the folding type, it's much smaller when put in the storage bag, about the same size as a folding umbrella, and it's very convenient to use. So, I've also included a product link for this. Please take a look if you'd like. Of course, it depends on the car, so you'll have to check that yourself. But many companies also sell these umbrella-type sunshades. So, I've included a product link for something that I think is good. Yes. That was the umbrella-type sunshade as a reference. In terms of blocking people's view, as a last resort, or a slightly unusual tactic, there's a car half cover. I'll introduce this. It's like this. If you completely cover the outside of the car, you don't need any blackout sheets. This is a bold strategy. I'll include a product link for this as well. I think this strategy is also viable. However, as you probably know, if you do this, you can't get inside the car. You won't be able to get in and out. So, if you use this, you'll have to make a cut in the door and make it openable. But in terms of providing a complete blackout, this strategy is also viable, and it's not troublesome. So, you might want to consider this. So, I've talked quite a bit, but let's move on to the next item. The twelfth item. The twelfth item is this. Body wipes. This is absolutely essential, isn't it? You often can't shower or bathe, so it's good to have body wipes. However, commercially available介護 (caregiving) wipes, like those from Atten or Hakujuji, can be used, but considering the high temperatures in the car during summer, they tend to dry out quickly. I haven't tried this myself, but products made of aluminum foil are likely to be less prone to evaporation than plastic film. I think the risk of water loss is less. I personally use Biore's Smooth Powder Sheets, which use aluminum foil sheets. So, the lid part is plastic, so that's not good, but I think this has a higher ability to prevent evaporation. So, I recommend buying body sheets that are designed for long-term storage, even if they are more expensive, and are said to be usable for several years. The product shown here is "Unique 6 Year Wet." I think I used this in the previous live stream and introduced it. Excuse me. Unique 6 Year Wet. I underestimated it. Excuse me. I used it casually in the previous live stream and said it was pretty good. But when I looked it up, it's an amazing product. It uses a plastic transparent film with very high gas barrier properties. So, even if left in the car, it maintains its moisture for 6 years, as indicated by "Unique 6 Year Wet." So, it won't dry out. It says 300 pieces, but when you buy it on Amazon or Rakuten, it's only sold in sets of 300. Honestly, you can use them for various purposes, so buying a 300-piece set is fine. However, if you check the company's official website, you can buy them in units of 10. Either way is fine. But even 100-yen shops have similar products. Daiso, a 100-yen shop, has large wet sheets in aluminum foil packaging, similar to this, for 110 yen each. But these cost about 60 yen per sheet. So, these are cheaper. And this product, "Unique 6 Year Wet," contains VB, which is a very safe ingredient. So, you can wipe anywhere with these towels. You can wipe your head, your delicate areas, anywhere. VB is amazing. It's safe and suppresses the activity of viruses and bacteria by 99.99% or more. So, honestly, if my armpits are sweaty and smelly, and bacteria are multiplying there, wiping with Unique 6 Year Wet will have some antibacterial effect. It's better than wiping with regular wet sheets because it has antibacterial properties. Of course, it's not the same as using alcohol disinfectant, so it doesn't sterilize, but it has better antibacterial properties than regular ones, and it's safe, you can wipe your head and delicate areas, and it's cheaper than 100-yen shop items. So, I thought this was great and I want to stock up on it. So, I highly recommend Unique 6 Year Wet as a top recommendation for this video. Yes. And next. We need to move quickly, otherwise, we won't finish. The thirteenth item is this. Car window specific mosquito nets. This is also highly recommended. Please imagine this. In seasons like spring or autumn, if you close all the car doors and turn off the engine, the air conditioning stops, and the temperature inside the car gradually rises, making it unbearable. However, if you open the windows completely, cool air can enter, and you can spend time comfortably. Aren't there many such seasons in Japan? Please imagine being in such a season during a disaster. You want to save fuel, so you want to spend time with the windows fully open. However, in those seasons, there are mosquitoes, gnats, and flies outside. If you leave the windows open, insects will fly in. That's not good. Aren't there such seasons? Considering this, having these specialized mosquito nets makes a big difference. If you don't have them, please consider purchasing them. The one shown in the photo is quite simple. It's a large mosquito net in a bag that you can simply put over the door, and then close the door tightly, and it becomes a mosquito net. It's a simple product. This series of products is available for various doors, not just the ones that open wide, but also for sliding doors and back doors. They come in various sizes and are developed by various companies. I've also included product links, but please take a look. If you don't have them yet, please consider purchasing one in preparation for disasters in summer or spring. I said one, but most cars have four doors. At first, I thought you might need to buy four. But in the worst-case scenario, I recommend buying two. Because if you put a mosquito net on the driver's side, for example, then on the opposite diagonal rear left door, if you put mosquito nets on both of these, the air will flow through the entire car and exit. So, you might not need to buy four, but at least two. So, please consider this. That was the car-specific mosquito net. Now, let's move on. The fourteenth item to pack in your car is this. Battery-powered portable fan. This continues the theme of dealing with heat. I introduced mosquito nets earlier, but even with mosquito nets, it can still be very hot. If you can't use the air conditioning, then you have no choice but to fight with a fan. So, I recommend battery-powered portable fans. The one shown in the photo is a fan that runs on about three AA batteries, sold at Nishimatsuya, which I often buy. When choosing one, please select one with a larger fan diameter. Smaller ones might seem attractive because they are compact, but if the blades are small, they just spin with a buzzing sound and don't provide much wind. So, larger blades are recommended. This time, excuse me. I recommend packing battery-powered fans and batteries in your car. However, batteries should not be left in hot car interiors during summer. They are said to have a risk of leakage or explosion. However, leakage or explosion is different from bursting or emitting smoke or fire. So, the risk is relatively low. Therefore, if you're going to prepare power sources, I think it's a good strategy to pack batteries in a sturdy case, such as a metal one. That's why I recommend battery-powered fans. Conversely, what you should absolutely avoid is rechargeable goods, not just for fans, but for anything. Leaving rechargeable items in a hot car during summer is absolutely forbidden. They use lithium batteries, and rechargeable items with lithium batteries have a risk of ignition, smoke emission, or explosion in high summer temperatures. So, please do not leave them in the car. Therefore, this is the fourteenth item, battery-powered portable fan. So, I've recommended one electrical appliance. And the fifteenth item. The fifteenth item is also a very important item, and it is this. Portable solar panel. Many companies offer various products, but with just one of these, as long as it's sunny, you can charge your smartphone, charge your mobile battery, and some models can even directly power a fan. Having one of these makes fighting the situation much easier. So, personally, this is one of the items I highly recommend preparing. There are various companies offering various products, but please choose one with a USB port that supports fast charging. After confirming that it has a USB port, check the charging speed. The amperage is important. If you buy one with 1A, the charging will be very slow, so don't buy that. If you choose one with 2A or preferably 3A, you can generally get fast charging. However, some people dislike solar panels. If that's the case, you have no choice but to prepare battery-powered mobile batteries or something similar. But I recommend packing one of these. The product shown in the photo is from a company called BigBlue. I have it in my hand. This is the 28W model, and this is the 63W model. This one is older. These are the two models. As you can see, neither of them takes up much space. They are not heavy, so they are perfectly fine to pack in a car. So, I highly recommend them. In the next slide, I recommend the most basic BigBlue 28W model. Many companies offer these solar panels, but I have another one. I had a 28W model from the brand "Suwaki," but the panel manufacturer "Suwaki" is no longer in business. They also dealt with power banks, but they went out of business and are gone. Most of these solar panels are made in China, but if it's a new manufacturer, they might disappear, and you might not be able to receive after-sales service. However, BigBlue has been around for a long time and continues to release new products and sells well. So, I don't think they will go out of business easily. So, I highly recommend them. I'm introducing the 28W model here. As written at the bottom, considering the hell of watching over things, you need about 28W. It's true that there are many compact small solar panels. There are 10W and various others. But the smaller they are, the longer it takes to charge. The power generation efficiency of solar panels drops significantly through car windows. So, you'll likely have to take the panel outside the car and charge your smartphone. However, you'll have to watch over it to prevent it from being stolen. If the charging speed is slow, you might have to stick close to the smartphone and the panel all day while the sun is out, watching over it to prevent it from being stolen. This is a hellish situation. So, a slightly larger panel, like this 28W model, is what you need. So, this is my first recommendation. However, it's better to have a large wattage panel to charge your smartphone and other devices quickly. Even in cloudy conditions, larger panels can charge faster. And if there are two or three people in the car and you need to charge multiple devices simultaneously, larger panels are better. So, I want to recommend this 60W model. By the way, I know you're curious, so I'll show you the size difference between the 28W model and the compact model. They are about this much different. The thickness is almost the same. So, roughly speaking, it's about half the size of this one. So, I was impressed by how compact and amazing it is. Yes. So, that concludes the discussion about panels. Let's move on to the sixteenth item. There are 30 items, and we're only at the sixteenth item. The sixteenth item is this. Spare underwear and sleepwear. These are essential, aren't they? Especially if your underwear is wet, it's very bad, and it can get smelly. So, please prepare spare underwear. And it says sleepwear. For example, if you have to endure a disaster for two or three days in your car, you'll have to sleep in your car. If you work in a suit, or if you're a musician with clothes that have a lot of protrusions, or if you wear leather all over, or if you're an artist, you won't be able to get enough rest if you spend the whole time in those clothes. So, for those people, I recommend preparing sleepwear in advance. Think about the clothes you wear when you go out. Can you sleep soundly in them? You should check this. Please don't forget to prepare these. That's the sixteenth item. Yes. And next, let's move on to the seventeenth item. The seventeenth item is this. Toothbrushing set. We're gradually getting into more basic preparations. Toothbrushing. I've written it here, but I've decided that this is the number one most inconvenient item when you don't have it during a disaster. You want to brush your teeth, don't you? Your mouth starts to feel unpleasant. If you don't have it, you'll think, "Ugh, I wish I could brush my teeth." So, please pack it in your car. It doesn't take up much space. So, please pack it. Toothbrushes are not large, so if you're going to pack something, pack them together and keep them there. There are also toothbrushing sheets available as disaster preparedness items, not proper toothbrushing sets. I'm not looking down on toothbrushing sheets, but if you have a proper toothbrushing set and a little water, you can squeeze it from a bottle and brush your teeth. Your mouth will feel overwhelmingly better with this. So, if you're going to prepare, I recommend a toothbrushing set rather than sheets. Yes, that's the seventeenth item. Yes. Next, let's move on to the eighteenth item. The eighteenth item is this. This is absolutely essential, isn't it? The moment of the disaster might be sunny, but it could rain later. And you might have to go out and do some work in the rain. So, you should prepare rain gear like this sturdy one. The one on the left is a very expensive model, Montbell's Storm Cruiser, but even 100-yen rain jackets and rain pants are fine. So, please prepare rain gear. Especially in winter, if you get caught in the rain, you could die from the cold. So, please prepare rain gear. However, for umbrellas, personally, I think this is not a bad umbrella. If it's a folding type, it becomes very small. So, please prepare an umbrella too. Because every time, for example, if you only need to go out for about 10 minutes, say to a nearby shelter, and it's raining a little, it's troublesome to go through the process of putting on all the rain gear in the car. With just one umbrella, you can manage. So, umbrellas are convenient, and I recommend them. Also, many umbrellas nowadays are for both rain and sun. So, if you're in a disaster situation in the summer, and there's a water distribution truck, and you have to wait in line for two hours under the scorching sun, having a parasol makes a big difference in how much energy you expend. So, I recommend preparing an umbrella, also as a parasol. I'm quite a parasol user myself, and I use it when I walk in the summer. I quite like the compact, jump-type umbrella from Innovator, by Ogawa. This umbrella is quite light, and despite being light, it's jump-type, quite wide, and sturdy. So, I highly recommend it. As you can see, it opens quickly. There are various colors, and it repels water well. It's a proper size, 55cm type. There might be a 60cm type and a 55cm type. I personally recommend this because it's light, and it comes in various colors. So, if you're looking for an umbrella, I've included a product link. But these are absolutely necessary. Please consider the high temperatures in summer and the high temperatures inside the car when choosing them. You will definitely be in trouble without these. So, please prepare them. Yes. And next, the twentieth item. This is the first final item, or rather, the conclusion. The twentieth item is something that many people overlook, so please prepare it. A backpack. Or a large bag. If you pack more and more disaster preparedness goods in your car like this, it will be well-equipped. However, unfortunately, in a major disaster, there's a possibility that you might have to abandon your car and move. For example, if there's an accident that blocks the road completely, or if there's traffic congestion, or for various other reasons, you might have to abandon your car and move. If that's the case, you have a lot of disaster preparedness goods packed. If you don't have bags or backpacks to carry them, you'll have to leave most of the goods in the car and leave it crying. So, to avoid that, it doesn't have to be a size that can hold everything, but a regular backpack or a large, sturdy plastic bag like the ones sold at IKEA. Having something like this to carry your belongings is quite important. So, please consider this. Especially with backpacks, they don't get in the way. You can just pack more and more support goods into them, so they're not troublesome. So, a backpack that is easy to carry is recommended. But anyway, please have a large bag or a carrying tool. Yes. So, we've introduced 20 items, but we've been talking for quite a while. So, from here on, I'll speed up and introduce the remaining 10 items, up to 30 items, all at once. First, let's look at items 21 to 25. They are as follows. First, the 21st item. Lantern. Even though there's a light in the car, it's good to have a lantern or a light. It makes life inside the car much easier and very convenient, so please pack one. Also, as I mentioned earlier, there's a possibility that you might have to work outside the car or abandon the car and go somewhere. So, in that sense, please prepare lights and lanterns. Next, the 22nd item is gloves (military-style). This is a standard item, so I'll skip the explanation. Next, the 23rd item is a poncho. This might depend on the person, but if you have completely blacked out the inside of your car as I mentioned earlier, that's good. But if you haven't completely blacked it out every time, and you need to use the toilet or change clothes inside, it's quite troublesome to completely hide yourself. With one poncho, you can change clothes or use the toilet inside. So, I think a poncho is quite convenient, and I recommend it. Next, the 24th item is duct tape. It's good to have one roll of duct tape. It's truly useful for everything. As I said earlier, if your windows aren't completely covered, you can reinforce the blackout by taping something to them. Duct tape is very versatile. For example, I made this myself using only duct tape. I made this string by simply making a loop with duct tape and attaching a ring to it. If you make this longer, it can be used as a clothesline to hang laundry in your car. So, duct tape has infinite possibilities if you're resourceful. It's worth having one. So, please have it. And the 25th item is a portable radio. Of course, cars have radio functions, but as I said, there's a possibility that you might have to go out of the car or abandon it. Especially in cars, if you have to travel far from home, in areas with no cell service, or if you abandon your car and walk, a portable radio is important as a source of information. There are small portable radios, so please pack one. Yes. And finally, the last five items. Let's look at items 26 to 30. They are as follows. First, the 26th item is tableware. Paper plates, chopsticks, forks, and other tableware are fine. You might receive various food items, or if you plan to eat something you've prepared, you'll need tableware. So, please prepare them. Next, the 27th item is garbage bags. You'll generally put various things in garbage bags, but to prevent odors from leaking, I recommend using Boss's bags, as they really don't leak odors. You can also use regular plastic bags with handles, which are convenient, so I don't object to that. But anyway, please prepare garbage bags. And the 28th item, marked with an asterisk, is a tent. Excuse me. In the preconditions, I mentioned that we're assuming one or two people in the car. This is for when you're assuming three or four people. It's quite difficult to live in a car with four people all the time. So, if you're considering that, it might be a good idea to prepare a simple tent that can be set up right next to your car. And if you use a tent, you don't all have to go into the tent. You can split up, two in the car, two in the tent. Whichever condition is better, or whether you prefer the car or the tent, will depend on you. It also serves as a lookout. So, you can take turns rotating. However, if you have a large number of people, consider preparing a tent. And finally, items 29 and 30 are common sets: a whistle and a rescue hammer. Regarding whistles, some people say they don't need them because cars have horns. However, if the car's electrical system is damaged, the horn might stop working. For example, if the car is submerged in water or falls down a cliff, the electrical system might be damaged, and the horn might stop working. In such situations, a whistle can be effective for seeking help. So, please have one. And for rescue hammers, many people know about them but don't pack them in their cars. So, I have a recommended product for you. It's this rescue hammer called "Rescue Me." This product, Rescue Me, is shown in the photo. I actually have it in my hand. It's very small. Regular rescue hammers are shaped like hammers and are used to break things. But this is very small. It's easy to use. If you pull this part out, you'll see a blade. If the seatbelt cannot be opened, you can first cut the seatbelt with this. After cutting the seatbelt, you'll see this black button. You press this black button against the glass. The windshield cannot be broken, so aim for the side windows. If you press it against the side window, it will make a clicking sound. Can you hear it? Listen. It makes a clicking sound like this.
