Welcome to the prayer for an alcoholic husband. This is simply a prayer I've put together where I'd like to pray for anyone within the sound of my voice. All I ask you to do is to agree with me as I pray, and together we will seek our Heavenly Father. Please continue to meditate on this prayer for yourself, speak it daily, or listen to this over and over again and allow the Word of God to reach deep into your spirit. Let us pray.
Heavenly Father, we gather together and come into agreement in the wonderful and powerful name of Jesus. Where two or more are gathered, there You'll be in the midst of us, and anything we agree upon, touching You, You will surely do. The Bible says if there's any unforgiveness, that it should be dealt with before praying. Therefore, we release any anger, bad feelings, resentment, or any other wrong attitude before You now. We lay it at Your feet, and we release and forgive those who have wronged us, Father, in Jesus' name.
There's no distance in the spirit, and we thank You for the listener who desires a prayer for an alcoholic husband. We lift up the listener's husband to You right now. You know where they are, You know what they are struggling with, You know why they are turning to drinking. If they do not know You, we bind and remove the blinders from their eyes that are blocking the light of the gospel in their life, in Jesus' name. We ask that laborers would cross their path to witness the good news to them, in Jesus' name.
Lord, please help the listener's husband to strip themselves of their former nature and to put off and to discard their old, unrenewed self, in Jesus' name. We declare this by faith. If the listener's husband does not know You yet, they will. And so we speak forth the rest of this prayer by faith to Your glory. If we must, Lord, whatever their husband needs deliverance from, it is not good, and You know this. Together, we bind the demonic forces associated with alcoholism that are holding the listener's husband captive and command he be released right now, in Jesus' name. Spirit of alcoholism, we command you to release the listener's husband now. We declare complete deliverance over the listener's husband right now, in Jesus' name.
In the name of Jesus, we decree and declare the husband's freedom from slavery. Together in prayer, we loose the power and effects of alcoholism from him now. They no longer work, in Jesus' name. We loose the confusion and the blinders of the god of this world from their husband's mind that have kept him from seeing the complete light of the gospel. Father, we decree and declare that all that the listener's husband knows about You would come to his remembrance. We decree and declare that it would stand out in his heart and mind, and that he can't ignore or overlook it, that it is right before his face. We praise You that the listener's husband is coming again to their senses, in Jesus' name. We praise You that You have delivered their husband to Yourself from every assault, every lie, and deception of the Evil One. We glorify You that You will preserve and bring him safely into Your family right now, in Jesus' name.
Please reveal to the listener's husband what thoughts don't line up with Your word, in Jesus' name. Please give the husband power and grace in order to do what he needs to do, Father, to walk in freedom that is in Jesus, in Jesus' name. We declare that he has continually filled with and controlled by the Holy Spirit. Help him, Lord, to put on the full armor of God. Together, we decree and declare that the listener's husband stand strong against the attacks of the devil, in Jesus' name. We thank You that with every temptation, You have provided a means of escape for the listener's husband. Hallelujah, they are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. They always triumph in Christ.
Together, we declare that the listener's husband is growing spiritually. We decree and declare that Your engrafted word and love is saving their soul, in Jesus' name. We decree and declare that their husband is stripping away the old nature with its habits and he's putting on the new person created in Christ Jesus, in Jesus' name. We plead the blood of Jesus over the listener's husband. We call him protected and thank You for angels that always surround him. We declare that the taste and the love of alcohol in him diminishes and is destroyed, in Jesus' name. We declare that they are walking in newness of life.
We lift up the listener and their family right now, in Jesus' name. We plead the blood of Jesus over them and call them protected. Angels guard and protect them. Father, You know there's a fine line between supporting an alcoholic husband through what they're going through and also putting themselves in danger. Lord, through Your Spirit, please give the listener wisdom as to what they need to do to stay or to go. Is there anything they need to do to report to the authorities? Whatever it is, Father, shoulder the listener and give them the strength to carry out what You instruct them to do. We call in all the supply they need to follow Your direction. Do they need another place to stay? Do they need finances? Do they need strength to continue to stand with her husband because deliverance is close, etc.? Whatever it is, Father, we call in that supply now, in Jesus' name.
Holy Spirit, reveal any hidden traps or dangers that the listener needs to see. It's not their fault for what has happened. We bind Your peace and favor over them now, in Jesus' name. We thank You for Your protection and for Your direction, Father, during this time. We thank You that the listener's husband is delivered and set free through Jesus.
Remind the listener, Father, to pray this prayer often until they see the husband's complete deliverance. We believe and receive everything we've prayed and give You glory in advance, for this prayer is answered in the wonderful and precious name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
