Faith, Prayer, and Unbelief: Trusting God's Will #shorts

Pastor Allen Nolan1:08

And I'll tell you what I really believe.

Because we don't come to God with the little things that he answers quickly. We lose heart with the big things. I don't know if you remember, but in fact, I just got through teaching on this. "Lord, I believe. Please help my unbelief."

Sunday, if you remember, the man brought his son to the disciples and they couldn't cast out the devil. So, he brought him to Jesus. Said, "You know, I brought him to disciples, they couldn't do this." And of course, Jesus comes in, talks about faith, and the man says, "Lord, I believe, help my unbelief." And Jesus heals him.

But what we didn't read later on is the disciples say, "Why couldn't we do that?" And he said, "This type cometh out by prayer and fasting only. You haven't grown enough for that."

See, the problem is if you're not praying these little piddly things and seeing God work in your life and building up your faith, when the big things come along, you don't have the faith to do what needs to be done or to channel in God's will to have that.
