Romans 8:11 says, "The same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in your body and will give life to your mortal flesh."
That is not a metaphor. That is not poetry. That is not a spiritual abstraction you are supposed to nod at and file away under things that sound nice. That is a medical statement. That is a biological promise declared over every born again believer on the face of this earth. The same spirit, the same power that reached into a sealed tomb on the third day and reversed the most absolute verdict in human history. That same spirit, that same resurrection force, that same divine energy is not just near you, not just with you, not hovering somewhere in the atmosphere waiting for you to qualify. He lives in your body right now in your mortal flesh.
But here is what you have never been told. Here is the revelation that nine out of 10 pulpits will not touch. Because the moment this truth lands in a congregation, medicine becomes optional and the pastor's role as intermediary becomes unnecessary. When the people of God understand that they carry within them the very spirit that conquered death, they stop waiting for the preacher to pray for them and they start enforcing what the covenant already secured. That is a revolution and revolutions make institutions nervous. So the verse gets preached around. It gets spiritualized into something vague and non-threatening. It gets filed under future promises deferred to the end times explained away by cessationist theology that conveniently removes the power from the hands of ordinary believers and centralizes it in the office of the ordained clergy.
So stay with me for the next 25 to 30 minutes. What you are about to receive is not new theology. It is recovered truth. Truth that the early church walked in. Truth that E.W. Kenyon spent a lifetime excavating and declaring. Truth that has been buried under layers of religious tradition, denominational compromise, and the creeping influence of sense knowledge theology that has crippled the body of Christ for generations. Before this teaching ends, you will understand not just what Romans 8:11 says, but what it legally establishes, what it practically authorizes, and exactly how to activate it in your body, in your home, and in every area where the enemy has been running unopposed. This is the E.W. Kenyon Revelation channel and this is a word that will change your life if you will receive it.
Let me begin with a diagnosis because before a person can be healed, they must first understand the nature of the disease. And the disease that has crippled the body of Christ is not cancer. It is not arthritis. It is not heart failure. The disease is ignorance. Not willful rebellion. Not moral failure, ignorance. The Apostle Paul declared in the book of Hosea that God said his people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Not destroyed for lack of sincerity, not destroyed for lack of effort, destroyed for lack of knowledge. You can be the most sincere, most devoted, most church-attending believer in your city and still be living 10 miles below your covenant rights because no one ever told you what those rights were. You can love God deeply. You can serve faithfully. You can give generously and still be defeated in the area of your health because what destroys the people of God is not insincerity but ignorance. The enemy does not need you to walk away from Jesus in order to neutralize you. He only needs you to remain ignorant of what Jesus has already done. And for 2,000 years, religious tradition has been his most effective tool for maintaining that ignorance.
Here is what the average believer has been taught about sickness and healing. They have been taught that healing is something God does occasionally when he chooses, when the circumstances are right, when you have prayed enough or fasted enough or your faith is finally pure enough. They have been taught that sickness is sometimes God's will, that he allows it to teach you something, to humble you, to make you more dependent on him. They have been taught that the gifts of healing described in 1 Corinthians 12 were for the early church era and have now ceased. They have been taught to pray for healing with the escape clause always attached: "if it be your will." As though the will of God on the subject of your physical body is a mystery that cannot be known in advance. As though God has not already revealed his will in writing, in blood, in the finished work of the cross. And so the believer prays with one hand extended toward heaven and one hand gripping the symptom. They confess healing with their mouth and confess the sickness with their medical updates. They declare victory on Sunday and rehearse the diagnosis on Monday morning when someone at work asks how the treatments are going. They believe in a vague and sentimental way that God can heal, but they do not believe in a specific and legally grounded way, that God has already healed. That distinction is everything. That distinction is the difference between begging and enforcing. That distinction is precisely what Romans 8:11 is designed to obliterate.
Consider what this looks like from the enemy's perspective. Satan is not afraid of a church that believes in healing as a general concept. He is not disturbed by a theology of healing that keeps the power perpetually out of reach, deferred to special services, reserved for the especially anointed, accessible only through the correct formula of prayer and fasting and waiting. What he is terrified of is a body of believers who have come to understand that every one of them is already carrying the resurrection power of the living God in their mortal bodies. A church that understands Romans 8:11 the way Kenyon understood it becomes an army. And armies do not beg. Armies enforce. The devil has managed the body of Christ for generations not by overpowering it but by keeping it in the posture of a beggar rather than a king. The moment that posture changes, everything changes. The moment you stop asking and start declaring. The moment you stop wondering if God will and start proclaiming that God has, that is the moment the atmosphere shifts. That is the moment the legal authority you already possess begins to produce visible results in the natural realm. The reason you have been living in defeat is not that God withheld from you. The reason you have been living in defeat is that you were never shown the deed to the property you already own. You have been standing outside a house you have full legal title to in the rain, knocking on the door of your own home, begging the occupant to let you in. What the E.W. Kenyon tradition calls revelation knowledge is simply this: Knowing what belongs to you by covenant. Knowing it with the kind of certainty that does not bend when the symptom screams, that does not waver when the doctor gives a bad report, that does not require the feeling to validate the fact. Stop begging God for something he has already given you. Start enforcing what the blood of Jesus already purchased.
Now let us go to the text. Let us go to the rock. Romans 8:11. I want you to hear these words not as religious sentiment but as legal testimony. The Bible declares in Romans 8:11, "But if the spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you." Now stop. Do not let familiarity rob you of what this verse is actually saying. Pull apart every phrase. "If the spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you," this is a conditional clause. But it is a condition that every born again believer has already met. If you have confessed Jesus as Lord, if you have believed in your heart that God raised him from the dead, then Romans 10:9 tells you that you are saved. And if you are saved, then 1 Corinthians 6:19 tells you that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. The spirit already dwells in you. The condition of Romans 8:11 is already met. This is not something you are hoping will happen. This is something that already happened the moment you were born again.
Now watch what the verse guarantees. "As a result, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies." The Greek word translated as quicken is the word zoapo, and it means to make alive, to vitalize, to impart the zoey life, the very life of God himself, into what is mortal. Not your immortal spirit, which is already alive and sealed by the Holy Spirit, your mortal body, your physical flesh. The same resurrection life that animated the physical body of Jesus Christ in that garden tomb on the morning of the third day is available to vitalize your physical body today. This is not a promise about the general resurrection at the end of the age. Yes, that resurrection is coming. And Romans 8:11 contains that truth also. But the Apostle Paul is not speaking here only about the distant future. He is speaking about your body in its present mortal state. Look at the phrase, "your mortal bodies," not your glorified bodies, not your resurrection bodies, your mortal bodies, the body you are living in right now. The one that gets tired and hurts and ages and gets attacked by disease. That is the body Romans 8:11 is speaking into. That is the body this promise covers. That is the body the Holy Spirit was sent to inhabit and to energize and to keep alive with the resurrection power of Jesus Christ.
E.W. Kenyon wrote in his master work on the subject that the indwelling Holy Spirit is not a passive resident. He is not a silent tenant who moves in and then does nothing. He is the agent of resurrection power, and his purpose for taking up residence in your physical body is to maintain the life of God in your physical system. The very same energy that reversed death in the body of Jesus is continuously available to reverse disease, to reverse degeneration, to reverse every work of the enemy in your mortal flesh. This is not your inheritance in heaven. This is your inheritance on earth right now, in this body, in this life.
Let me show you one more dimension of this truth from the Greek that will lock this into your spirit permanently. Romans 8:11 says, "The spirit dwells in you." The Greek word for dwell here is oikeo, which comes from the root word oikos, meaning house or household. It does not mean to visit. It does not mean to pass through. It means to take up permanent household residence, to be at home, to settle in as a permanent occupant. The Holy Spirit has not checked into a hotel room in your body. He has moved all of his furniture into your body. He has set up his household there. Your body is his address. And what does a homeowner do? A homeowner maintains the property. A homeowner protects the investment. A homeowner keeps the premises in good order. The Holy Spirit as the permanent resident of your mortal body, he's not indifferent to the physical condition of the place where he has chosen to dwell. He is actively invested in the health and vitality of the body he inhabits. Romans 8:11 is his mandate and his method. He gives life to your mortal body because he lives there. Because your body is his home.
Now look at 1 Peter 2:24. This is the companion promise, the new covenant declaration that must be placed alongside Romans 8:11. The Bible declares that "he himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed." You have been healed. Past tense, completed action. The Greek perfect tense here carries the force of something that happened at a specific moment in history and whose effects continue permanently forward. The healing was purchased on Calvary. It was signed, sealed, and delivered by the resurrection. And the down payment, the earnest money, the present-day evidence of that purchased healing is the Holy Spirit who now dwells in your mortal body.
Isaiah 53:4 and 5 declared it prophetically 700 years before Calvary. "Surely he hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. Yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his stripes we are healed." When Matthew the Apostle reached back to quote this verse in chapter 8:17, he did not spiritualize it. He said this was fulfilled when Jesus healed all who came to him. Physical healing was included in the atonement. Sickness was included in the curse that Christ became for us. Galatians 3:13 declares that "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law." The curse of the law, as listed in Deuteronomy chapter 28, includes every disease and every sickness. Christ redeemed you from every disease and every sickness. The indwelling Holy Spirit is the active presence of that redemption in your body.
Let me tell you a story, a picture that will make this truth live in your spirit so it can never be taken from you by argument or by symptom. There was a time in the history of the American West when land was being opened for settlement. The government issued what were called land grants, legal documents that gave the holder the right to a specific parcel of land. When a settler received that land grant, the land was his. It was his by law. By official government authority, the deed was signed, sealed, and recorded in the county seat. The moment that settler's name was written on that document, everything on that parcel of land belonged to him. Every tree, every stream, every mineral deposit, every square inch of soil. But here is where the story gets interesting. Some settlers received their land grants and moved immediately onto the property, cleared it, built on it, worked it, and lived in the fullness of what they owned. They planted crops on their land. They built fences on their land. They raised families on their land. They lived like people who knew they owned something. And they never apologized for occupying what was rightfully theirs. Others received identical land grants, put them in a drawer, and continued living as squatters on someone else's land. They owned property they never occupied. They had legal title they never exercised. And while they were sleeping in a borrowed barn, a trespasser was living in the house that was rightfully theirs. The tragedy was not that the land had been withheld. The tragedy was that the grant was issued and the settler never moved in.
This is the picture of the body of Christ on the subject of healing. Every born again believer received a land grant the moment they were saved. It was signed in blood, the blood of the everlasting covenant. It was sealed by the Holy Spirit who took up residence in your body as the guarantee, the earnest, the first installment of everything the covenant provides. 1 Corinthians 1:22 calls the Holy Spirit the earnest of our inheritance. He is the down payment on your full redemption. He is the legal presence of the covenant in your body. You are not trying to get God to give you healing. The healing was given at Calvary. You are not begging for something that is not yet yours. You are enforcing a deed that is already recorded in the books of heaven. The question is never whether the covenant is sufficient. The covenant is perfect. The question is whether you will move on to the land you already own. Whether you will plant your flag on the ground that is yours by purchase. Whether you will speak to every squatter, every symptom, every demonic occupier that attempts to hold territory that the blood of Jesus already bought and say with the authority of the greater one who lives in you, "This is not your land. You do not belong here. This body belongs to the covenant. This body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Clear out now in the name of Jesus." That is not arrogance. That is stewardship. That is what covenant heirs do. And you are a covenant heir.
Now let us move into the legal framework. Because this is where the rubber meets the road. This is where religious tradition and revelation truth come into direct conflict, and you need to know which one is standing on solid legal ground. The legal language of the new covenant is not incidental. The writer of Hebrews calls the new covenant a "better covenant established upon better promises." The word translated covenant in the Greek is the word diatheke, which is not a mutual agreement between equals but a one-sided declaration, a testament, a will. It is the legal act of one party establishing irrevocable terms for another. When a person dies and leaves a will, that will becomes legally enforceable at the moment of death. The testator cannot change their mind. The beneficiary does not earn the inheritance by good behavior. The inheritance is the property of the beneficiary by virtue of the will sealed by the death of the one who made it. Hebrews 9:16 and 17 declare this precisely: "For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth." Jesus is the testator of the new covenant. His death made the covenant irrevocably in force. His resurrection made him the living administrator of the covenant. You are the named beneficiary. And among the specific provisions named in the covenant is the healing of your physical body. It is in the will. It is in the testament. It was purchased by the death of the testator. And it cannot be revoked. Cannot be renegotiated. Cannot be suspended because your faith is imperfect or because your performance has been inconsistent.
Hear this carefully. You are not a petitioner standing before a judge and hoping for a favorable ruling. The verdict has already been rendered. The judge himself ruled in your favor from the cross when Jesus declared, "It is finished." The Greek word to telestai that Jesus spoke from the cross was a commercial and legal term meaning "paid in full." It was stamped on debt records when the obligation was completely satisfied. When Jesus spoke that word, he was declaring that the full legal debt of sin and sickness and poverty and death had been paid in full by his blood. There is nothing left to pay. There is nothing left to earn. The verdict has been rendered. The transaction is complete. What does that make you? It makes you the holder of a legal judgment. When you walk into a situation of sickness, you are not a beggar hoping for mercy. You are an enforcer of a legal verdict. You are not asking the court to rule. The court has already ruled. You are presenting the judgment to the party that has been ordered to comply. And that party, that defeated, legally stripped, authority-empty adversary, has no legal ground to hold you in sickness. None. Zero. His occupation of your body is illegal. His occupation of your finances is illegal. His occupation of your family is illegal. He is a trespasser on property that belongs to the covenant heir. And the greater one who lives in you has given you full authority to remove him.
Look at Luke 10:19. "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." The word translated "power" the second time in that verse, "over all the power of the enemy," is the Greek word dunamis, explosive miracle-working power. The word translated "power" the first time, "I give unto you power," is exousia, legal delegated authority. Jesus said, "I give you legal delegated authority over all the explosive power of the enemy." He has dunamis. You have exousia over his dunamis. Legal rank beats raw power every time. A police officer with a badge and no weapon has authority over an armed criminal because the badge represents a legal system that outranks the criminal's firepower. You have the badge. The badge is the name of Jesus. The badge is the blood of the covenant. The badge is the indwelling Holy Spirit, who is the expressed presence of the legal authority of the risen Christ. When you stand in the name of Jesus against sickness, you are not hoping the enemy will be impressed by your sincerity. You are presenting a legal writ that he has no choice but to obey. He obeys it not because he wants to, but because the authority behind that name is backed by the resurrection power of God Almighty.
Colossians 2:15 declares that "through the cross, God disarmed the principalities and powers, and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them." The word disarmed in the Greek is the word apekduo, and it means to strip off completely, to divest fully of weapons and authority. Satan has been legally disarmed. He operates in your life only to the extent that you permit him to. Only to the extent that you remain ignorant of what the covenant provides. Only to the extent that you cooperate with his lies by accepting the symptoms he presents as final truth. The moment you see through the lie and present the covenant. The moment you open your mouth and enforce the verdict, he must yield. He has no choice. The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus, Romans 8:2, declares has made you free from the law of sin and death. Stop cooperating. Start enforcing.
Now let me give you the practical application because revelation without practice is just information, and information alone will not change your body. Here is exactly what you do with this truth. The first practice is what Kenyon called feeding the hidden man. The hidden man is the recreated spirit, the inner man who was born again, who is complete and whole in Christ, who is already healed in his nature because he partakes of the divine nature, as 2 Peter 1:4 declares. You feed the hidden man through meditation on the covenant word concerning your body, not reading the Bible as a religious duty, meditating on specific healing scriptures until they become more real to you than the symptom. Until when you think about your body, the first thought is not the diagnosis but the covenant. Romans 8:11, 1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:5, Psalm 103:2 and 3, Matthew 8:17, Mark 11:4. These verses become your diet. You eat them morning and night. You chew on them. You let them become the lens through which you perceive your physical reality.
Here is what that meditation looks like in practice. You sit quietly and you speak these words aloud: "The spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in me. That same spirit is giving life to my mortal body right now. Healing is flowing through my body. The resurrection power of God is active in every cell, every tissue, every organ, every system of my physical body. I am the temple of the Holy Spirit. I am the home of the greater one. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in me. And that power is stronger than any disease, any infection, any malfunction, any pain that attempts to occupy space in this covenant body." You say that not as a desperate prayer, but as a legal declaration. You are not informing God of something he does not know. You are informing your own spirit, your own body, and the spiritual atmosphere around you of what is legally established. You are, in Kenyon's language, making a confession. And confession in this sense does not mean admitting guilt. It means declaring publicly what you believe in your heart. Hebrews 4:14 calls Jesus the high priest of our confession. He is the enforcer of what we declare. When you declare the truth of the covenant, you activate the high priestly ministry of Jesus on your behalf. He takes your confession and enforces it in the spiritual and physical realm.
The second practice is what we can call ruling the tongue. Job 22:28 declares, "Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee." Mark 11:23 records Jesus saying, "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass. He shall have whatsoever he saith." Notice Jesus does not say, "He shall have whatsoever he prays." He says, "He shall have whatsoever he saith." The mouth is the instrument of enforcement. The tongue is the tool of the covenant heir. Your words are not merely expressions of what you feel. Your words are the mechanism through which the spiritual law of faith operates. Hebrews 11:3 tells us that "the worlds were framed by the word of God." The same creative force that formed galaxies is at work through the spoken word of faith in the mouth of a believer. Do not underestimate what you say. Every word you speak is a seed you plant in the soil of your circumstances.
This means you stop describing your symptoms as though they are your permanent reality. This does not mean you deny that a symptom exists. Kenyon was careful on this point. He did not teach denial of sense knowledge. He taught the superiority of revelation knowledge over sense knowledge. You are not pretending you cannot feel the pain. You are declaring that the pain does not have the final word. You are saying, "I feel this. I acknowledge this. But what the covenant says about my body is more true than what this symptom says. And I choose to speak the higher truth." Instead of saying, "I am sick," you say, "My body is manifesting a symptom. But I am healed by the stripes of Jesus, and the spirit of God is giving life to my mortal body right now." Instead of saying, "The doctor said this could kill me," you say, "The great physician says by his wounds I have been healed, and greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world." Instead of saying, "I do not see any improvement," you say, "I walk by faith and not by sight, and what I cannot yet see with my eyes is already accomplished in the spirit." Every time you open your mouth to agree with the symptom, you are voting against your own healing. Every time you open your mouth to agree with the covenant, you are voting for your recovery and creating the atmosphere in which the indwelling spirit can manifest what he already purchased.
The third practice is what Kenyon called maintaining your position. This is perhaps the most critical and the most overlooked. Receiving healing is one thing. Holding healing is another. The enemy will come back. He will send the symptom again. He will send a worse symptom. He will arrange for a friend to ask how you are feeling so you can rehearse the sickness. He will arrange for a well-meaning church member to ask if you have tried this medication or that treatment, implying that your confession is naive and your real hope lies in chemistry rather than covenant. He will send doubt wrapped in reasonable-sounding theological questions. "What if it is God's will for you to be sick? What if this is your thorn in the flesh? What if your faith is not quite strong enough? What if God is trying to teach you patience through this?" Do not engage with those questions on the faith enemy's terms. Do not defend your covenant. The covenant needs no defense. Simply return to the word. Simply redeclare what is established. Simply remind your spirit and the adversary that the verdict has been rendered and you are enforcing it. Get up every morning and make your declaration. Before you look at your body, before you assess the symptoms, before you take inventory of how you feel, open your mouth and speak the covenant into existence in your daily experience. Say, "This is the day the Lord has made. The spirit of God lives in me. This body is healed. This body is the temple of the living God. The greater one is on the inside of me today. And I will not yield to what sense knowledge tells me. I yield to what the word of God declares." Say these words out loud right now. Wherever you are, "I hold my position. I stand on the word. I do not waver. I do not retreat. I do not negotiate with what Christ has already defeated. The spirit of God lives in this body. This body belongs to the covenant. This body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. And this body is healed in the name of Jesus Christ. The same yesterday, today, and forever."
Now, let me address the war because this revelation does not come without resistance. And you need to be armed for what is coming. The first weapon the enemy deploys against this truth is condemnation. The moment you begin standing on Romans 8:11, he will remind you of every sin, every failure, every moment of weakness. He will suggest that your covenant rights are suspended because of your imperfection. He will point to your record and say, "You have not earned this healing." And this is where you must absolutely understand what Romans 8:1 declares: "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit." No condemnation, not reduced condemnation, not condemnation for the big sins only. No condemnation. The blood of Jesus has satisfied every charge. The record has been cleared. Satan is functioning as the accuser of the brethren. Revelation 12:10 tells us, "But the blood of the lamb is your answer to every accusation." When he brings the charge, you produce the blood. When he reads the indictment, you respond with the verdict. And the verdict is not guilty, righteous, justified, healed, free, sealed, secure. The enemy has no case against you that the blood of Jesus has not already dismissed.
The second weapon is sympathy with the symptom. This is subtle and this is deadly. Sympathy with the symptom is what happens when you begin to speak of your sickness with familiarity, even affection. When you call it "my condition," "my problem," "my disease." When you begin to organize your life around the symptom rather than around the covenant. When the pain becomes more real to you than the promise. When you start making long-term plans that assume the sickness will be permanent. When you tell the story of your diagnosis so many times that the diagnosis becomes your identity. Kenyon wrote that a person who dwells on their sickness invites it to stay. He was not being callous. He was being precise. What you meditate on, you magnify. What you magnify, you empower. Stop magnifying the symptom. Start magnifying the covenant. Stop telling the story of the sickness and start telling the story of the redemption.
The third weapon is the voice of religious tradition. This is the most socially acceptable form of resistance and therefore the most dangerous. It will come from people you love and respect. It will come from pastors, from elders, from well-meaning family members who will quote scripture out of context to suggest that your healing confession is presumption. They will cite Paul's thorn in the flesh, ignoring that the thorn Paul spoke of was a messenger of Satan, a demonic agent, not a physical disease, and that Paul prayed against it three times before receiving a specific apostolic commissioning response. They will cite Job, ignoring that the entire point of Job's story is that Job was restored, healed, and doubled in blessing. They will build a theology of sickness from the exceptions in the narrative and call it humility. But look at what Jesus did in every single encounter with sickness in the gospels. He healed everyone, every case. He never turned a sick person away. He never said, "This one is not the Father's will." He never said, "You have not prayed enough or your faith is not pure enough." He healed them all and then he commissioned the church to do the same. Mark 16:17 and 18: "These signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." That commission was not retired when the last apostle died. It was given to them that believe. And if you believe, it belongs to you today. Do not let the voice of religious tradition talk you out of what the blood of Jesus paid for. Honor the people who hold those views. Love them. Pray for them, but do not receive their limitations as your covenant reality. Their ceiling does not have to be your floor.
There is a fourth weapon that is rarely discussed but absolutely critical to identify: the weapon of delayed manifestation. The enemy will allow you to stand on the word for a season and then use the gap between declaration and manifestation to introduce doubt. He will say, "You have been confessing this for three weeks, for three months, and your body is not showing improvement. Maybe this does not work for you. Maybe you are the exception. Maybe God wants you to learn from this longer." And the believer, not understanding the nature of covenant enforcement, begins to waver. They reduce the intensity of their confession. They begin to hedge. They begin to say, "Well, I believe in healing, but maybe this particular disease is different." And in that moment of wavering, the ground they have held by faith begins to erode. Hear what Hebrews 10:35-36 declares: "Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise." You have need of patience, which in the Greek is hypomonē, and it does not mean passive waiting. It means steadfast endurance under pressure. The refusal to move. It is the picture of a soldier who holds his position when the enemy charges, who does not retreat when the assault intensifies, who knows that the ground he stands on is his and plants his feet in it, regardless of what comes against him. The manifestation is on its way. The covenant is working even when you cannot feel it working. The spirit is giving life to your mortal body even in the moments when your mortal body seems to be giving you evidence to the contrary. Do not cast away your confidence. The reward is great. Stay on the word. Enforce the covenant. Hold the ground.
Now let us bring this home. Let us build to the crescendo that this truth deserves. You are not a product of your medical history. You are not defined by your diagnosis. You are not a victim of biological processes that God cannot or will not override. You are a new creation. Second Corinthians 5:17 declares that "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away and all things have become new." The Greek word for new here is not neos, which simply means recent. It is kainos, which means unprecedented, a new kind, something that did not exist before. You are not an improved version of the old person. You are a new species. You have been born from above, born of the spirit of God, filled with the resurrection life of Jesus Christ. And that life, that zoey life, that uncreated eternal life of God himself, is meant to dominate your mortal body. Romans 5:17 declares that "those who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ." Shall reign in life, not shall survive, not shall cope, not shall endure, not shall manage their symptoms, shall reign. The Greek word is basileuo, the same word used for a king exercising dominion. You were born again to reign as a king in the domain of your physical life. Sickness is not your king. Pain is not your master. The verdict of a disease is not your final word. You are the king in this domain because the King of kings lives in you. The greater one is not the minor one. He is not the equal of the adversary. He is the conqueror, the triumphant one, the one who led captivity captive and gave gifts to men. And he chose your body as his dwelling place. Think about that. The sovereign of the universe, the one who spoke stars into being and exhaled the breath of life into Adam's lungs, looked at the whole of creation and chose to take up residence in your mortal body. Not in a cathedral, not in a golden temple, in you, in your body. Your body is the new holy of holies. Your body is the ark of the covenant in the new creation reality. And the presence that dwells in you is not the presence of the law but the presence of the grace that fulfills the law. He moved in. He will not move out. He is not visiting. He is inhabiting. And where God inhabits, disease has no authority. Where the resurrection life flows, death cannot hold its ground. You have been equipped for this moment. You have been given the name that is above every name. You have been given the word that stands forever. You have been given the blood that speaks better things than the blood of Abel. You have the covenant. You have the promise. You have the spirit. You have the authority. Stop waiting for permission to enforce what the resurrection already secured.
Every morning when you open your eyes, before the weight of the world has a chance to settle on your chest, before the symptoms remind you of themselves, before the fear and the doubt and the sense knowledge reports come flooding in, there is a moment, a brief, sacred, powerful moment before the natural mind fully engages. In that moment, the recreated spirit is already awake. The indwelling Holy Spirit is already present and active and ready. Seize that moment. Speak before your sense knowledge speaks. Declare before the symptom declares. Open your mouth in that first waking moment and announce what is true in the spirit before what is true in the natural has a chance to frame your day. That declaration sets the atmosphere for everything that follows. That morning confession is not merely religious exercise. It is the act of a covenant heir taking legal possession of the territory of their day before the squatter has a chance to occupy it.
Now hear this final declaration and say it with me. Speak it out loud. Let your voice fill whatever room you are in. Let the walls hear it and the atmosphere feel it and the enemy know that a covenant heir has awakened. "I am a new creation in Christ Jesus. The spirit of the living God, the spirit who raised Jesus from the dead, dwells in me and gives life to my mortal body. I am redeemed from the curse of the law. I am healed by the stripes of Jesus. No weapon formed against my body shall prosper. No disease has legal right to this temple. I enforce the verdict of the cross. I declare the finished work of Calvary over every cell, every organ, every system of my body. The same power that emptied the tomb lives in me. And that power is greater than any power that has ever come against me. I am not begging for healing. I am enforcing what has already been secured. The covenant holds. The blood holds. The word holds. And I hold my position in the name of Jesus. The name above every name. The name to which every disease must bow. The name at which heaven moves and hell trembles. I am healed. I am whole. I am free. And I will not be moved."

I want you to know that this revelation did not arrive in my life all at once. It came in layers. There were days early on when I declared the covenant and still felt every symptom. There were moments when the word felt thin and the pain felt thick. And I had to make a choice in those moments. Not a feeling, but a choice to stay on the word. What I have learned and what I want to leave you with is this: the moment I opened my mouth to describe the problem in detail, I always lost ground. Not because God abandoned me, but because I redirected my own focus from the answer back to the question. The covenant does not waver when you waver. The blood holds even when your faith feels small. His faithfulness is not contingent on your performance. Lean into that today. Even if this is day one and you are uncertain and the symptom is loud, the spirit in you is louder. Turn your attention toward him, toward the greater one, toward the life that never fails. He is enough.
