I wanted to get right on and tell you about this because there are three Amazon Prime subscription scams that are just spreading like wildfire right now. Extremely dangerous because they can drain your account in literally just seconds and they have a few different tactics. They figured out three different ways to get to you if you have an Amazon Prime account and it's pretty tricky.
Um it's very sneaky how they're going about doing this but we're able to expose live on this video all three scams happening right now. The messages look legitimate. They look like they're from Amazon and even Amazon admits that scammers are getting better and better at impersonating them using their logos, using URLs and email addresses that look like they're from Amazon or even the phone text messages. So we're going to get into all that. We actually have the evidence to show you of what it looks like. So if you get these emails or these texts, you know exactly what to do.

But, let's get right to it because I don't want to wait any more. This is an Amazon email scam that is exploding right now in June of 2026. It's been going on for a little bit, but now we have the evidence. We can now show you exactly what they're doing. This one, we have two email scams and a text scam. This first one is email and they're telling you that Amazon Prime is about to have a price change. You know, we get those emails sometimes, "Hey, there's a change to your recurring payment." And we just hit okay, but this one is even more creative because not only does it say, "Hey, do you agree to that?" There's a second button that says, "Hey, do you want to cancel?" If you don't want to pay this higher fee for Prime, here's the cancel button. So, you actually think you're saving money, but as soon as you hit that cancel button, it brings you into the Amazon ecosystem, but it's not really Amazon. It looks exactly like it and boom, they're putting spyware and malware on your computer, able to see everything you do and drain your accounts. I wanted to show you exactly what it looks like. So, here's what we know right now because people are losing millions of dollars on this. Take a look.
>> Now, it is a warning email from Amazon about the increase in a scam that customers are reporting. Here's what Amazon says is happening. Scammers are sending fake emails claiming your Amazon Prime subscription will automatically renew at an unexpected price. The scammers might include personal information in the emails to appear legitimate. And these emails may also include a cancel subscription button leading to a fake Amazon login page.
>> It's really interesting. We literally just got a scam tracker report from a lady who said that she had gotten scammed, ended up giving out some information, and somebody hacked into her Amazon account, and started sending out packages to her. I mean, it can be a real danger to have somebody hack into your Amazon account, and that's what they're trying to do, or steal your credit card information, and then go on a shopping spree, and then you have to try to unwind the damage.
>> And the And the amount of time it takes to unwind the damage the the damage has already been done. Very hard to get the money back once they've taken the money from you. So, if you get that email, and look how real that looked, from Amazon with the logos, the the exact kind of formatting of They've really mastered the formatting. Even Amazon says that now. Do not click anything. Go into your actual Amazon account if you think they've sent you something to see if it's actually in there, in your documents, in your account.
Uh the next Amazon scam uh is a twist on that subscription Prime scam. This one claims that your Prime membership has expired. And so is your has your payment method. So, they need you to, you know, reapply, get back in, and put your payment information back in. And again, it looks entirely real. One of the victims bravely speaking out who just got taken by this about what to look for. So, I wanted to show you this. Clip two.

>> 76-year-old Pat Holden hopes by sharing how she fell for this Amazon membership scam, she'll prevent it from happening to others.
>> I got to tell you, I'm pretty good at checking everything.
>> The Fletcher Hills online shopper thought that the email was from Amazon offering free Prime membership since it said that her membership expired.
>> Extend for free, right?
>> Holden says that she clicked the link.
>> This was one of the things that I filled out to get give them my credit card.
>> Holden shared with us that her husband just fell for a Facebook scam and she had to get a new credit card, so she thought her payment information needed to be updated with Amazon.
>> I waited. I waited.
>> That's when Holden called Amazon and was told it was a scam. She then called her bank and froze her account.
>> Within 9 minutes, I took care of it.
>> It hasn't always been easy for Holden.
>> This isn't the first time I've been had, believe me. That's why I can't believe I fell for this one.
>> Yeah, because they're that good. I mean, you can see what that email looks like and it looks like it's just from Prime.
But, Amazon's Prime subscription scam number three perhaps is the most dangerous because the scammers know and and this is just how it is. They go after senior citizens on email because they know most seniors may not be using their phone as much, so they go after them on email. But, for the younger generation, they go after them on their phones. They know you're much more likely to click a link very fast on your mobile phone than you are on an email. So, and your Prime membership is on hold. Your membership's failed, your Prime membership is on hold, and click this link to restore access. That's the term they use, restore access, and we just got a look at what this new text message looks like from the scammers impersonating Amazon, so I wanted to quickly show it to you. Roll clip three.
>> This video >> all about an Amazon scam text that says your Amazon account is on hold due to a billing issue. Unfortunately, we had to disable your Amazon account. Recover your account immediately. Click link below. And it has a link that says something like onlinehome.us or maybe another link that looks suspicious that does not go to amazon.com or any other Amazon domain. And that is because it is a scam. It says, "Please take action on your account within 48 hours to avoid permanent suspension. Regards, Amazon Service." And it's weird that they would just say Amazon Service and not Amazon Support, Amazon Customer Service, something that would sound a little bit more normal than just Amazon Service. Sometimes these sorts of scams lead to pages that look like the login pages for the companies they're pretending to be. So, it might take you to a page that looks like you're logging in on Amazon, but really you're just sending the scammers your login information. You don't want to do that, of course.
>> Yeah, and the key is never to hit a link unsolicited. If something is coming to you unsolicited, unless you've gone to Amazon and said, "Hey." And here's the verification code because you went to them, don't click on anything. Go into your actual Amazon account.
So, how do you protect yourself from all this aside from that? There are actually deeper things that you can do to make sure you're not a victim. I want to bring in Nader Marcos from deals uh dot com, our our app partners and and Amazon expert. Uh Nader, we're going to get to our live deals in just a second, but how can we protect ourselves from these Prime subscription scams that are absolutely exploding right now? Even Amazon says it's it's an epidemic.
>> Yeah, that's exactly right, Jeff. There's There's a lot of ways we can actually protect ourselves, but first thing I kind of want to go over is that most of the time that these emails, these text message you guys are getting, there's always going to be some kind of urgency. They're going to say, "Act now. Act within 48 hours. Act immediately." So, those are the key things that you want to watch out for on these texts and emails that's going to immediately know that it may be a scam. And uh the first thing you always want to check is go ahead and go to the Amazon homepage all the time. You want to not click the links that are sent to you in the text or the emails, but always search Amazon directly in your browser.

>> Make sure that you're actually signed in.
>> is your screen, right? What do you tell walk us through exactly what you're doing here?
>> Yeah, exactly. So, I'm I'm logged into my Amazon account already. What you want to do is go over to the top right where it says your name and go to the drop down and click on your account. That's going to bring up all these different options and you're going to want to click on Amazon Prime, which is how you're going to check exactly how much you're paying for if one of these gamers is saying that you're going to be getting an increased rate if they it's going to get canceled soon. So, you want to go to here and it's going to tell you a couple things. Number one, as you can see, I'm on the monthly plan. There's two different options. There's an annual plan that you can see down here, which costs $139 per year and there's a Prime monthly, which is $14.99 plus tax. So, that's the first thing you want to check, verify that against the email that you got. And secondly, it's going to tell you the exact renewal date. For example, for myself, it's going to be on June 15th, which is in 10 days from now. So, I know exactly when Amazon is going to charge me. And the third thing, of course, is if you want to cancel, update it, or even just pause the membership, you can do it all under this manage tab here. You can even set up a reminder if you want a couple days before it actually renews. That way you know exactly when you're going to get that charge. And of course, if you need to cancel it, you can click this end membership button to cancel that subscription.
>> And that's really the only way you should be doing it is through your Amazon app. They're never going to send you a link, ever. They don't email you or they don't text you to send a link. It's right through here. There's also a way to turn on and by the way, if these instructions were too fast, you can pause this video, go back, pause it, watch it, pause it, and do it on your actual phone or your or your computer. You can also turn on two-step verification, right? Can you show us how to do that or what that is?
>> Yeah, absolutely. If you let me share the slides, I can definitely pull that up for you. So, I'm going to share you exactly how to do that step-by-step. Um number one, go back to the Amazon homepage like normal. You're going to click in the top right where it says your name, accounts and lists. Make sure to hover right over that, and it's going to bring up that same tab I pulled up earlier. Make sure you click into the accounts. We're going to pull that open. And on the top, you're going to see an option for login and security. It's going to be the second option right next to your orders. Make sure to go ahead and click into that. And it's going to give you a whole bunch of options here. So, the thing I want everyone to to really take note on is a two-step verification. That's just an additional layer of security that helps protect your account from potential attackers, potential scammers, and will require a second step for people to actually be able to sign into your account. Um so, the way you check that is obviously on this manage button right next to two-step verification. You can click into that. And it's going to give you a couple of different options. Number one, you can add a phone number, meaning you'll get a one-time password sent to your text messages, which will be required to sign into your Amazon account. That's actually what I did.
>> If anybody is trying to sign in anywhere, you'll you'll they'll send it to you so you can actually know, "Wait a second, I'm not the one who asked for that. Somebody's trying to get into my account."
>> Yeah, that's exactly right. In addition to being that that that second step of security, you're also going to know if somebody's going to be trying to sign into your account just because you're going to get that notification. Um you can add your phone number, you can add your email. You can also add an authenticator app, uh which is a little bit more complicated. If you guys want to keep easy, I suggest it's definitely adding that phone number instead.
>> Very cool. And so, what happens just one final question. What Oh, sorry. Yeah, yeah, keep going. Sorry. Yeah, what happens if they actually steal your password? What do you do?
>> Yeah, so if they actually steal your password, there's a couple things you want to do here. Um you want to actually check uh your recent purchases. You want to check the cards you have saved on your account. So, same thing, head back over to the homepage. Um this time you're going to hover over the returns and and orders page. Go ahead and click into that and take a look at the last 30 days of your orders. Obviously, if somebody has access to your account, they're going to be placing things that you didn't order. Uh for example, I know I ordered this laptop stand, I ordered these Dr. Scholl's inserts for my shoes. So, right away I know, you know, this this is my account hasn't been hacked or anything like that. Uh but definitely take a look at the last 30 days at least. See if there's anything fishy, anything suspicious that you didn't order. That's right away going to be a red flag and you know, you're going to want to take action and continue to lock down your account and maybe even report it to Amazon.
