Okay, so hi, I'm Christina Rose. I created this new channel, Crown for Overflow, a week ago. This is my second video. Um, I have been wanting to create a YouTube channel for years. Actually, I started about five years ago and then I completely shut it down, and here we are again. Before I had everything like the green screen, I I looked into the software, I looked at all these things. Um, and then I was like, how can I show up on video like with like I need a filter and and all of these other things that I just don't have. And so I got this mic in the mail today from Amazon. I'm like, "it's go time." Like, this is it. I'm I don't need to be ready. I don't need to be polished. It's going to be unedited, unscripted, unfiltered, just recording on my video. I'm going to upload it to YouTube. I don't even have a cover photo yet for my YouTube channel. That's how imperfect this is.

This morning, it's Monday. It's now 9:00 p.m. at night. But this morning, I was like, I I'm going to create a YouTube video today, right? And so, the day went on, and before I knew it, it was like 6:00, 7 p.m., and I still hadn't created the video. And I'm like, I got to do my makeup, then I got to do this, and I don't have the energy. And I had all these excuses to not go. So, I, you know, this morning I was like, I just want to be an encouragement. I just want to get on YouTube and just just pour into women who need a sister, who need a friend, because that's what I needed.

Back in 2010, 2011, I was going through a really, really challenging time, probably one of the hardest times um in my late 20s. And I was actually going through a divorce. And I started getting on YouTube back then. And I would watch, you know, um, pastors online, motivational speakers, and I didn't have the circle. I didn't have the community. I didn't have the trusted resources to go to for really great support other than let's meet up for happy hour. That's all I had back then. Um, and so I would go to YouTube to get that to get that support. And these people don't even know my name, you know? I I don't even know if I had a a blog. I'm not even sure honestly back then. Um, and I always knew one day that I would pay it forward, that I would be one of those creators creating motivational content, sharing more of my story.

And oh my goodness, has it been a whirlwind over the past 10 years alone. The past month was incredible. I took um one of the most incredible trips across Indonesia of my life. Uh, I don't even know how to unpack all of it or process it, but it was this continual just no matter how bad things were, I would always search for gratitude. I would always like immediately go to coaches in the online space, just watch their content. I would buy their programs, you know, whether it was, you know, we're still on the same path or even equally yolked today. It all God uses it all for good. So, I had Romans 8:28 sent to me on my phone for like 18 months at 9:00 a.m. every single morning, you know, just reminding myself God uses it all for good. And I see that today and I see the fruit of that in my life today. And so that is why I'm starting before I feel ready. I definitely don't feel ready. I don't I would love to have polished edited videos, but I just don't I don't want to spend the time on that right now.

And I honestly would love your feedback if you are here and you're like, "Who is this girl showing up? Everyone has these beautiful YouTube videos." Cuz then there's me and um, you know, just just sharing from the heart, you know, and and I feel that I believe and you can share with me I believe that that's more of what we want in the online space is unedited unscripted that's what I want I want to see someone stumble over their words I want I want to see someone think through something I don't want to cut out. You know what I mean? Like I want to know how are you really behind the scenes? Like what are we dealing with? Right? So what I'm doing, I just graduated from um grad school at Houston Christian University and I got my degree in human services and professional life coaching. And so I do have experience in the coaching industry and I'm super excited to relaunch my coaching brand. But it's gonna look so incredibly different than what I used to do. Okay? So, it is showing up raw, unfiltered, unapologetic. If someone misunderstands me, I'm going to have to be okay with that, right?

So maybe you're dealing with something where it's like I you really want to show up on Instagram, you want to create a new Instagram, you want to build your email list, you want to grow a YouTube, you want to build um a community and in where you live in your local area because you want to get behind the computer screen. You want to get with people, right? Just start it. And I encourage you to subscribe, follow along, let me know you're here because we're doing it together. like I'm doing all of these things I just mentioned um starting now starting in perfect and it's going to be exciting it's going to be fun so what are some of the blocks that I can support you with moving through it right so I don't think you're ever really going to feel 100% ready even though I do I have the YouTube studio studio and the software and all this other stuff now I got a mic I love this thing. I don't even know if it was $20. I found it on Amazon and I think it's really cool. And so, is this necessary? Absolutely not. No, but I think it's cool and I don't even need the little muffly thing indoors, but I just think it looks cool and it's cute and I don't know. I just wanted to use it. So, um this is about as professional as we're going to get other than the um other than the master's, right? Other than the master's degree. So I want to know what are some of the blocks that you are facing that's holding you back from moving forward.

Here's another one: Vanity in the way you look offline and the way you look online. So right now I have seven subscribers on YouTube. Okay. My new Instagram has 12 followers. I do not care what's going to happen with that. I care that I'm obedient and following what God puts on my heart and showing up and whatever comes from that. I'm letting go. I'm letting go of the results. And I'm a woman who's been a freelancer and independent contractor for 18 years. Do you know how hard that is for me to do? Um, this isn't normal. This is a process. This is something that I'm going to be working on. Okay. So, when God moves, he can accelerate things. And I've seen this play out in my life, in my personal life. He can accelerate things so quickly. So instead of trying to strive and trying to figure out I was listening to a YouTube earlier today about all the technicalities and and like the hook and keeping people engaged and the editing and I'm just like I can't do this. Like I don't want to do this. If if God's not going to move this, I actually don't want it. And this is the greatest place that you can be. So, I feel like that brought relief to somebody, right? So, the vanity metrics online, then the vanity of how you look. My skin, my hair, my makeup's melted off. It's 9:00 p.m. It's after 9:00 p.m. at night. I haven't brushed my hair other than my fingers. My dress is a mess. It was almost 100° today. It actually My car said 98.99. Okay. I never thought I would show up online like this. I have, you know, I'm still working on my fitness goals, right? I've been working on them for quite some time. So, I'm not waiting until my skin is flawless, until I'm the perfect size, until my makeup is is perfect or I find the perfect filter. I actually don't even know how to find a filter on YouTube. So, I haven't even searched for that. So, if anyone wants to let me know, I actually don't think I want to use any filters. Um, so yeah.

So maybe those are some of your blocks that you are struggling with and it's preventing you from really being the steward that God's called you to be with the gifts that you have to serve. Right? So that could be another one. These are just off the cuff that I'm thinking of right now that I've processed and worked through as well. um, the time social media it it definitely takes time and consistency and I can honestly say that it's definitely a long-term thing. So there's a lot of reach 10K in six weeks, reach 100K in, you know, six months with working with me. And and I know there's all these great stories out there, but in the beginning of starting my businesses, I would really feel defeated because people were inflating numbers that weren't real or there wasn't any follow-through. Um, and without going into too much detail, it made me feel like I was doing something wrong. Right? So, when you're starting something new and you're not seeing the results and you're struggling with it, that's when it's like you get to pivot and ask questions and pray or get with a mentor, you know, your coach, your counselor, whoever, your advisor, and really talk things through. Um, process that. But just because things are taking longer for you or you're starting off from humble beginnings, hello, doesn't necessarily mean you're on you're on the wrong path, right? It's consistency. It's consistency. It's the small, simple daily disciplines that lead to the quantum leaps, the quantum results. I know this um from seeing it in my own life, and that's something that I will preach all day long. Um, because everyone's looking for that secret. Everyone's looking for that shortcut. And the secret if there is a secret is yes, you get to be strategic. I can share all the things with you. Um, but at the same time, it's actually the daily disciplines. It's being devoted to the calling that's been put on your heart, right? Whatever that is in whatever industry it is. Doesn't matter what it is. It's being disciplined and and you know sharpening your skills, your tools, your your talents of your industry consistently.

It's a long game for me. Um, I keep thinking like, well, what if I don't reach this many subscribers and what if it doesn't grow? And what if it does? And I it doesn't grow as fast as everyone's saying it should grow. YouTube accounts are blowing up. I trust me, I watch them all. I do. Am I um implementing anything? I don't know. Not yet. Other than just being consistent. But what I can say is that um I'm in it for the long run, right? So this is something that I plan on doing for the rest of my life in the coaching industry. I have all of these ideas that's going to take years to build out that I have been um processing with my husband with my Christian counselor and coach um, you know, just graduating from grad school and human services and professional life coaching. So I take this very seriously like this is something that if it takes me 10 years then it takes me 10 years like this I'm all in.

So really ask yourself instead of of putting so much pressure on yourself um to to meet a deadline, really look at the bigger picture. Like how how committed are you to this vision? And if you're not that committed to the vision, it's kind of like iffy like wishy-washy. I would really reconsider what that vision looks like, like really get clarity. Um, and maybe that's something else I could create a video on on what's helped me get clarity and and taking a step back. So, I took a huge step back from social media when I moved and got married. I'll talk about that in 2023. took a huge step back, shut everything down, and um and now I'm starting over new. Now I'm starting over new. I still have my, you know, my Facebook and um but I have my new Instagram if you want to follow behind the scenes, uh Crowned for Overflow, just growing that and then it'll be here on YouTube. And so I'm really excited.

So to wrap this up, this is great. I want this to be around 15 minutes. I have no idea how long my YouTubes will be. Um, to wrap this up, what are you waiting for? What are you waiting for? I started with 0 back in 2019 when I left a relationship, moved, started started started over. Um, I used the resources that I had and that was Facebook in a Facebook group. That's what I used. That's where I started. I the first person that wanted to work with me as a one-on-one coach, um, I told her she wanted to sign up with me. I told her to sleep on it. Like, I wouldn't let her. She's like, "No, I really like want to, you know, I want to do this. I'm ready to work with you." And I was like, "Okay, why don't you sleep on it?" And so, um, the next morning she's like, "Yeah, okay. I want I've slept on it. and I want to sign up with you." I was like, "Okay." And so each call that we had, I was nervous. I was nervous for every single call. I was like, "She's going to fire me. She doesn't I'm not doing a good job. I'm not valuable enough. I'm not good enough." And then our whole session was over. And she signed up with me again, again. And so I had that happen to me often throughout, you know, 2019 up to 2022, early 2023 where the people that started with me stayed with me and we grew together and um and I overcame a lot of the fears of everybody's going to want a refund. No one's ever I'm going to get cancelled, you know. I really I played so small. I played so small. So, I'm really looking forward to expanding beyond that. Um, but just to let you know when you start and even starting here on YouTube is do I even have enough value to offer? I still with my master's degree and 20 years in independent contractor and and freelancing like I still have these thoughts, you know, and um I'm not sure if they'll ever go away. And I actually think it's a good thing because it will keep me on my toes to really really care about providing exceptional customer service in the businesses that I get to start. Um, so that's the encouragement that I have for today. How do I rep can I remember everything I said? No. And I'm not going to wait I'm not going to have you wait here until I like figure out and remember everything that I said.

But the most important thing that I can share with you if I never see you again is that Jesus loves you. Jesus is real. There's no better relationship on this in this lifetime that you can build other than getting to know truly who Jesus is. The heart of Jesus. Actually, I'm going to recommend that book. I started a new book, The Heart of Jesus. I'm going to recommend that to you. It's on Amazon. It's a very quick read. Um, all of these channels, all of these YouTube videos will always come back to growing your relationship with Jesus because that's all that matters. I am not a Bible thumper. I have a long story to share with you about my upbringing, but what I can tell you is that my own bumpy relationship with Christianity never Jesus never left my side, but with Christianity um thankfully only brought me closer to really learning who Jesus is. Right? So that's the most important thing that I can share with you. And if you have questions about my own walk, I can answer that for you, too. Um, but that's what matters most.
