30,000 jobs axed at Oracle right now. AI is nuking millions of jobs. And the truth is, my friends, it is going to get worse and you don't even know it.
Out here in West Virginia, the governor has announced two new massive data center operations, billions of dollars in investment. The only issue is this investment goes to the state and we don't really understand how it's going to benefit regular working people. It might actually displace them. But I'll be honest, one of the data centers they're building is literally in the middle of nowhere. So, it actually will benefit the state to a great degree. But we are watching jobs evaporate. And my friends, this job that I have for you right here will also evaporate. And I know exactly where we're going.
Many of you may be saying, Tim, you've been talking a lot about gambling. My friends, I pride myself on uh making predictions. And the way I operate in how I look at the news in the future is on what I would describe as EV+. The idea is this. You will make many wrong decisions. You always want to just be slightly more correct. You're not going to be right every single time. You won't win everything. But if 51 of your of of your 100 decisions are correct, you are progressing, advancing, and doing better every day.
What I see going on before us is the end of guys. It is going to be a transformation you do not even understand and they are intentionally holding it back. I did a segment talking about how they are they oh man we are talking about how AI is going to rapidly change everything in ways you don't understand including the end of cryptocurrencies a multi- trillion dollar marketplace because of quantum computing and that doesn't even begin to factor in how AI is taking away jobs white collar jobs and jobs that are supposed to pay well so now you've got young people whose option is getting a trade. That's your only option because white collar jobs are gone. You think I'm going to be able to make money complaining on the internet in the next couple of years? I don't think so.
So you say, Tim, why are you talking about gambling? I think a big cultural shift is going to be going to be happening where prediction will be the power in the machines. That means call, sheep, poly market, predict it. It also means that people are going to generate content based on gambling. Here's the thing. There's already a bunch of fake gambling videos. There's videos where people just pretend to gamble to make money and it works and they do it in foreign countries. What we are heading for, my friends, with AI content, it is going to be miserable.
Check this out from the New York Post. Major Bay Area tech company Oracle reportedly axed up to 30,000 jobs in a massive layoff Tuesday, notifying fired employees they were jobless. An email sent at 6 a.m. An email from one of the world's largest software companies chaired uh by billionaire Larry Ellison informed employees across multiple regions that Tuesday would be their last day at the company.
Well, here we go, my friends. I believe we have the email here. It says, "We are sharing some difficult news regarding your position. After careful consideration of Oracle, excuse me, current business needs, we have made the decision to eliminate your role as part of a broader organizational change. As a result, today is your last working day. IMAGINE GETTING NO NOTICE. We are grateful for your dedication, hard work, and the impact you have had during your time with us. After signing your termination paperwork, you'll be eligible to receive a severance package subject to the terms and conditions of the severance plan. Trump's going to have a uh a rough go of it because unfortunately, my friends, a lot of lost jobs is bad for the economy. And the question is going to be with a neolite movement, what will you do for me? Here's the future. You will live in the pod and you will eat the bugs. You will own nothing and you will be happy. This is all part of the broader plan. Did you think when project 2030 was announced and they said you will owe nothing and be happy, this wasn't a factor in their decisions?
How many of you watching right now worked at Oracle and lost your job? That's 30,000 people. Stands to reason at least one of you might stumble on this video. Comment below. I believe that what we're going to see is with the millions of layoffs that are currently slamming through the system, you are going to have loud, angry voices saying, "It's not my fault. I am cut out from the economy. Where do we go from here?"
I think universal basic income becomes the deacto guarantee. I'm not an advocate for it. I think it will ultimately be kind of bad. But here's the envisioned, at least short-term solution. The automated businesses will pay taxes that have to go toward universal basic income. So, you will own a restaurant, for instance, and you will automate the workers. Let's say it's a Taco Bell. You will automate the work. You will have uh a machine making the tacos and a kiosk taking the orders and you will make a good amount of money. The only problem is how do people afford to buy the tacos? They're going to tax you a portion of the revenue you generate which will be dispersed among the people. This actually might work. Now ultimately whether it affects people culturally in a positive or negative way, I don't know. But here's what I see happening.
An individual can only choose the money they earn, one or two restaurants. So let's say they're getting $10,000 a year or something small, just enough for food and maybe limited rent. If you want to make more than that, you've got to find something of value to do. But you go to Taco Bell and you spend 30 bucks on a meal. Yep. It's getting expensive. And $4 from that goes into the UBI coffer. Not all of the money spent, but you are going to be spending all the money you receive on various things and all of the automated businesses will pay an automation tax which will then go into those coffers. The issue is so long as there's 15 restaurants that are making enough money and and pieces are then going to pay UBI, the money the profit goes to the wealthy individual who buys and owns lots of things and is wealthy and does have a lot more access than the regular person. But there I I I don't know that it will be functionally possible in the long run because the massive expense unless they do a massive tax on any automated business maybe half it's recursive because then half the money you get goes back to you. So I don't know how that would work and finding that laugher curve balance would be insane. But I do believe not that I I don't know that it'll work perfectly. I think it might work short term but it's going to be the knee-jerk reaction.
We already have massive fraud. If we eliminate all the fraud, kick out all the fraudsters, denaturalize the immigration fraudsters, we might actually be able to support automated industry to a certain to a certain extent. Maybe not enough to live on, but enough for some basics so that you know while you're looking for work and trying to make money, you don't have to worry about the bare minimum. The reason why I'm not a proponent of this, and I don't think it works in the long run, is that there will be people who will say, I will live as minimally as possible so I never have to work. And that means people doing work will support people who don't. That is a system that will implode. It means that everybody is buying food from Taco Bell, but some people get 100% for free and some people have to work to supplement their incomes. So, I am not a fan of UBI.
But I do believe with all of this stuff happening, they are going to inadvertently do it because they're going to create an AI welfare fund or something. They're going to say 10 million people are now unemployed through no fault of their own. We cannot cast these people out. and they'll say, "We're going to be creating this fund." Now, to be fair, get rid of all the fraud in California and Minnesota and all these other states. Maybe it ain't so hard to actually fund. Maybe you could actually pull some of that off. However, I don't think it's going to work out, my friends. I don't know how you do it. I am not smart enough, and I'm sure there are many people who are smarter than I. I know there are. I'm saying maybe they've got a plan, but UBI won't work in the long run.
And the easiest way to explain it is this question. How many people do you know play the guitar? Okay. Of those people that you know who play the guitar, how many of them would prefer to be a professional musician making a living playing music as opposed to their day job? Probably all of them. Okay. How many of them are good enough to do it? Ah, see there it is. Right. Try asking these lefties this. They lose their minds. I play guitar. I play music. Eh, I wouldn't rather be a full-time musician than doing what I do. What I do is actually uh I'm passionate about easy for me, right? I can talk and uh lucrative music would be fun. I suppose to be fair if I could be a top tier multinational rock star that made billions on tours and merch. Sure, that's great. But if you said I could make the same amount of money playing music as I do right now doing what I'm doing now, I'd probably be like I don't know. Uh like if I was doing the same amount of workload but music instead, I'd say no to that. No, I like what I do. The truth is many people would rather be musicians and they're not good enough.
So when you do the UBI thing, you're going to have a lot of people who are going to be sitting on street corners going, "Hey man, I got a song." And you're going to be like, "Oh no, stop. Stop please." and they're going to be like, "Dude, I don't got to do anything. I get just enough to get by." Me and my friends, we all live in a studio apartment where we spend 200 bucks a month, but we're getting a thousand. We're getting 800 bucks a month. So, I just play music, man. You're going to be like, "But your music is bad. You should get a job." But they won't need to.
