In the early 1900s, E.W. Kenyon documented case after case of believers healed of terminal conditions, not through prayer services, not through the laying on of hands at some revival tent, but through revelation knowledge of Isaiah 53:5. He called it the great confession. Doctors called it impossible. Heaven called it covenant.
And once you understand what Kenyon saw, once this truth moves from your head down into the recreated spirit on the inside of you, sickness loses its authority over your body, not gradually, not maybe, completely and finally. That is the promise of this teaching today. And if you will stay with me for the next 25 minutes, I believe something will break open inside of you that religion has kept locked for years.
This is not a motivational talk. This is not a feel-good message designed to make you comfortable in your condition. This is revelation knowledge from the word of faith tradition, and it will demand something from you. It will demand that you lay down what you have been taught by tradition and pick up what the blood covenant of almighty God has already established as your legal inheritance in Christ Jesus. You have been sick long enough. You have been praying long enough without results because you have been praying from the wrong position. Kenyon saw it. He walked it out, and today you are going to see it, too.
The teaching you are about to receive comes from the deep wells of the Kenyon tradition, from the same vein of revelation that produced healing in the bodies of men and women who had been told there was no hope. Kenyon was not a theorist. He was not a man who sat in a library and constructed a system of doctrine and then hoped it would work. He was a practitioner. He watched men and women receive this truth and walk out of wheelchairs, get up from deathbeds, send back their diagnoses with a testimony written in the ink of covenant faithfulness. He built his teaching on evidence. And the evidence was the word of God backed by the witness of transformed lives. That is the tradition you have entered today by pressing play on this video.
So, do not turn this off. Do not let the enemy tell you this is not for you. It is specifically for you. And the fact that you are still listening is not an accident. Something on the inside of you, the inward monitor, the still, small voice of the greater one who lives within, drew you here because heaven has a word for your body today.
Now, before we go any further, I need to ask you something. And I want you to be honest with yourself as you hear this question. How have you been praying about your physical condition? Have you been going to God with a begging bowl, presenting your symptoms, describing your pain in detail, recounting what the specialist told you at the last appointment, and asking him to please, if it be his will, come down and do something about what the medical report says? Have you been approaching the throne of grace as though you are an outsider, trying to get the attention of a reluctant sovereign? Have you been treating God like a benefactor who might help if you can convince him with enough tears and enough fasting and enough promises to be a better person if he will just this once act on your behalf?
Because if that is how you have been praying, I am not here to condemn you. I am here to diagnose the problem. And the problem is not your faith. The problem is not that you you not prayed hard enough or long enough or with enough sincerity. The problem is your foundation. The problem is that no one ever showed you what the covenant actually says. And when you are trying to build a life of faith on a faulty foundation, you will work harder and harder and get less and less and eventually conclude that either God does not heal anymore or that there is something wrong with you personally that disqualifies you from His blessing. Both of those conclusions are lies. Both of them are the fruit of religious tradition that has stripped the power from the word and left the body of Christ weakened and confused.
Today we are going back to the covenant. Today we are going back to what Kenyon saw. Religion has done a devastating thing to the body of Christ. It has taken men and women who are heirs of the greatest covenant promise in all of human history and reduced them to spiritual beggars. It has trained them to approach God with uncertainty, with hesitancy, with a constant rehearsal of what the medical report says and what the enemy has been doing. As if God needs to be reminded of what the devil has done in your body. It has taught a theology of divine mystery that places healing in the category of sovereign unpredictability. So that you never know whether God is going to heal you or whether he is going to use your sickness to teach you something. As if the God who bore your sickness in the body of His Son at the whipping post needs to inflict it on you again to complete some educational project.
This is the lie of tradition. And Kenyon spent his entire ministry dismantling it with the same tool every single time, the uncompromised, unmodified, legally precise text of the new covenant word. He did not soften the promises. He did not hedge them with theological qualifications designed to protect God's reputation if healing did not show up on demand. He declared what the word declared and trusted the covenant to back it up.
The lie that tradition has told goes something like this. Healing is something God gives sometimes to some people when he decides it is the right time and the right circumstance. It is a sovereign gift that comes and goes according to his mysterious will. And your job is to wait and hope and petition and perhaps fast until he decides to act. Healing is presented as something you seek rather than something you have. It is framed as a future possibility rather than a present reality. And the entire weight of your spiritual experience around healing is built on uncertainty. On the maybe of religious tradition rather than the it is written of covenant revelation.
That theology is not in the Bible. It is not in the covenant. It is not what Jesus purchased with his blood at Calvary or confirmed with his resurrection three days later. And as long as you are operating from that theological foundation, you will pray with uncertainty, and you will get uncertain results. It is not that God is withholding. It is that you are not yet seeing what he has already given.
Here is the foundational revelation. And I want you to lean in right now. Because what I am about to say is going to reframe every prayer you have ever prayed about your health. Every conversation you have ever had about your body. Every interaction you have ever had with fear and disease and the medical system.
1 Peter chapter 2 verse 24 says this, "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." Did you catch that? Not you will be healed if you pray the right way. Not you might be healed if God is willing. Not healing is available to those who qualify. You were healed, past tense, completed action, a thing that happened in history and stands as an established legal fact in heaven and on earth.
Now go back further to the prophecy that the Apostle Peter is quoting. Isaiah 53:5, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." Two witnesses, one in the Old Covenant looking forward through the eyes of prophetic revelation to a cross that had not yet been built. One in the New Covenant looking back through the eyes of apostolic testimony to a cross that has already done its work. Both speaking of the same event, both using language that removes the matter from the realm of possibility and places it in the realm of established fact.
And if two is not enough for you, add a third. Matthew 8:17, which records that Jesus healed all that were sick and says it happened that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, "Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses." Three witnesses, Isaiah looking forward, Matthew recording the active ministry of Jesus as a demonstration of the covenant at work in real time, Peter applying it to the finished work of the cross and the standing of every blood-washed believer. "In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established." The scripture says, This word is established.
Kenyon spent years in the Greek text of 1 Peter 2:24. And what he found there shook the religious world and built the foundation for a healing ministry that outlasted his lifetime and is still producing fruit today. The word translated healed in that verse is the Greek word *iamai*. It is a word that carries the weight of complete restoration, of being made sound, of wholeness that leaves nothing missing and nothing broken. It is not a word of gradual process or conditional promise. It is a word of completion. And the verb form in the Greek is the aorist passive indicative, which is the Greek grammatical structure for declaring something that happened at a specific point in time, was done to you by an outside agent, and stands as a fact regardless of present conditions. You were healed. The passive voice means the healing was done to you. You did not produce it. You did not earn it. You did not achieve it through spiritual discipline. It was done to you by the stripes of Jesus Christ. And it stands in the record of heaven as an accomplished transaction.
This is what Kenyon called revelation knowledge as opposed to sense knowledge. Sense knowledge takes the report of the physical senses, what the body feels, what the eyes see, what the medical instruments measure, and treats that report as the final authority on reality. Sense knowledge says, "I still have the pain. Therefore, I have not been healed. I still see the swelling. Therefore, the healing has not happened. The test still shows the same numbers. Therefore, nothing has changed." Sense knowledge is completely natural and completely understandable, but it is not the standard the covenant operates by.
Revelation knowledge takes the word of God as the final authority on reality and subordinates the sense report to it. Revelation knowledge says the word declares, "I was healed by the stripes of Jesus. And therefore, I am healed, regardless of what my body is currently reporting. The symptom is not the truth. The word is the truth. And the truth, spoken consistently, enforced actively, and held without wavering, will eventually manifest in the realm of the senses, and the body will come into alignment with what the covenant has already declared." This is not wishful thinking. This is how the kingdom operates. The spiritual is prior to the natural. What is established in the spirit governs what manifests in the body. And your spirit, the hidden man of the heart that Kenyon wrote about so powerfully, your recreated spirit that was born again the moment you confessed Jesus as Lord, that spirit is perfectly well. It is perfectly healed. It is perfectly righteous. And your body [music] is supposed to be taking its orders from that spirit, not from the enemy.
Now, let me tell you a story that Kenyon himself would have appreciated. One that will drive this truth into your spirit in a way that a thousand formal sermons may never have done. Picture with me a man who has spent the last five years working in a distant country. He left home young, without much, went abroad to try to make something of his life. He has been working hard jobs, sleeping in modest accommodations, watching every coin, never quite getting ahead. He knows what it is to be short. He knows what it is to wonder if there will be enough. He has made a life out of managing scarcity.
While he is away, his father dies. And the father was a man of substantial means. He had a house, a piece of productive land, a bank account with more in it than this son has ever seen in his life. And a business that generates income every single month. The father loved this son. He left everything to him in a legal will. The will was filed. The probate was completed. The deed was transferred into the son's name. And the account was restructured so that the son is the sole beneficiary. By every legal measure in the land. This man is wealthy. He is a man of means. He is a property owner. He is a business owner. He has access to resources that would transform every area of his life. But nobody has told him yet. The letter is on its way. But it has not arrived. He does not know. And so there he is in the foreign country. Getting up early for the same grueling shift at the same low-wage job. Wearing the same worn shoes. Eating the same cheap meals. Worrying about the same monthly shortfall. Not because the inheritance is not real. Not because the will is not valid. Not because his father did not love him or did not provide for him. But simply because the knowledge of what has been established has not yet reached him.
Now think about this. There are creditors in that foreign country who would love to put liens on his property back home. There are competitors in that business who would love to move in and take over. And as long as he does not know what is his, they can operate as if it belongs to them. Because ignorance of your rights is as good as having no rights at all in practical terms. The legal standing exists. The inheritance is real. But experience matches knowledge, not legal standing.
That is the body of Christ. That is you. If you have been praying for healing without the covenant foundation underneath your prayer, the inheritance is established. The will has been read in heaven. The cross is the legal document. The blood is the seal. 1 Peter 2:24 is the certified copy of the deed. And the enemy has been operating in your body as if he owns it. Not because he has legal standing, but because you have not yet received the knowledge that evicts him. Today is the day that changes.
Now, let us move into the courtroom. Because Kenyon loved legal language, and he used it for a reason. The reason is that the new covenant is a legal document. It is a blood covenant, which in the ancient world was the most binding form of agreement that existed. More binding than a handshake. More binding than a written contract. More binding than an oath sworn before witnesses. A blood covenant was entered with blood, witnessed by God himself, and carried penalties for violation that were absolute. When you understand that the new covenant into which you entered the moment you were born again, is a blood covenant sealed with the blood of the Son of God himself, you stop approaching it as a suggestion, and start treating it as the legally binding, heaven-enforced agreement that it is.
Here [music] is the legal reality of your healing stated with precision. At the cross, a transaction took place. It was not merely spiritual in the vague, intangible sense that religious tradition often means. It was a legal exchange, witnessed by heaven, recorded in the eternal record, enforced by the resurrection, and made binding for all time by the blood of the eternal covenant, Jesus Christ, the son of God, the last Adam, the covenant representative of the entire human race, stood in your place. He took your position. He accepted your sentence. And he received into his body every curse of the law, every consequence of the fall, every claim that sin and sickness and poverty and death had on the human race because of Adam's transgression.
Galatians 3:13 says this with stark precision, "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us." He was made a curse. He took into his own standing everything that the broken covenant between God and man had produced. And Deuteronomy 28, which is the covenant chapter of the Old Testament, lists sickness and disease explicitly among the curses of the law. Every named disease, every physical affliction, every bodily suffering is in that list. And Christ became a curse to redeem you from every single item on that list. Not some of them, all of them. When the curse was placed on him, it was legally removed from you. This is not poetry. This is not spiritual metaphor designed to make you feel better about your condition. This is the mechanics of covenant substitution. The way a financial debt is legally removed when someone else pays it in full. The creditor cannot collect twice. He cannot come after the original debtor for a debt that has been cleared by a third party's payment. The account is settled. The claim is null.
Consider what this means for your body, specifically. Before the cross, sickness had a legal right to operate in the human body because the human race was living under the broken covenant of law. The law said, "Obey and be blessed. Transgress and be cursed." And the curse included sickness. Deuteronomy 28 is explicit. It lists tuberculosis, fever, inflammation, severe boils, tumors, and diseases of every kind among the covenant curses. These were not arbitrary afflictions. They were the legal consequences of a broken covenant. And they had standing in the human body because the debt that created them had not yet been paid. Paid in full. Remitted. Not covered the way the animal blood of the old covenant covered sin temporarily. Providing a kind of divine forbearance until the real payment could be made. No. Removed. Put away. Annulled by the one sacrifice that was sufficient to do what 10,000 bulls and goats never could.
And here is why this legal precision matters for your daily confession. When you understand that sickness operated legally in the human race because of a broken covenant, and that the new covenant in the blood of Jesus has legally superseded that broken covenant with a better covenant established on better promises, you understand that sickness no longer has legal standing in the body of a new creation believer. It is a trespasser. Trespassers do not have rights. They have no standing to claim anything. Your job is not to beg the landlord to evict the trespasser. Your job is to serve the eviction notice yourself. In the name of the one who has given you the authority to do so. Backed by the covenant that gives you the standing to issue it.
That is what the great confession is. It is an eviction notice served in the name of Jesus Christ. Sealed by the blood of the eternal covenant. Hebrews 9 verse 26 says, "He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself." Put away. The legal language of final settlement. And Hebrews 10 verse 14 says, "For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified." Forever. The work does not need to be redone. The sacrifice is not repeated. The healing is not repurchased every time you need it. It was purchased once in full for all time. And it stands in the eternal record as your covenant possession. The verdict has already been rendered. The court has already ruled. The sentence has already been executed on the body of Jesus Christ at the cross. And the acquittal has already been recorded in the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. You are not waiting for God to make a decision about whether to heal you. The decision was made 2,000 years ago. You are not building a case. The case is already decided. You are enforcing a verdict that already exists in your favor.
Now, here is the part that will change your prayer life if you let it. Because the enemy knows this verdict exists, the enemy has read the covenant. He is not ignorant of what happened at the cross. In fact, he is more aware of his legal defeat than most Christians are of their legal victory. And knowing that he has no legal ground in your body, no rightful authority over your health, no legitimate claim on your physical life, his entire strategy is reduced to one thing, deception. He is trying to get you to live as if the verdict does not exist. He is trying to get you to continue practicing the prayer posture of a man who does not know what is in his inheritance. He is trying to keep you petitioning for something that you have already been given.
You are not begging God to heal you. God already healed you in Christ. You are not asking heaven to act. Heaven already acted at the cross. You are enforcing a verdict that has already been rendered. You are reminding hell of a court decision that it is trying to ignore. This is the shift that Kenyon identified and that this entire teaching is designed to produce in your spirit.
[music] Moving from sense knowledge where the symptom is the authority to revelation knowledge where the word is the authority. Moving from begging to enforcing from petitioning to declaring, from hoping God will act to knowing he has acted and operating from that knowledge.
So, what does this look like on the ground? What does this look like at 6:00 in the morning when you wake up and the pain is still there and the discouragement is whispering that nothing has changed? What does this look like in the doctor's office when the numbers on the test have not moved? What does this look like in the dark moments that come to every person who is walking the covenant path?
Let me give you the practical framework of the great confession exactly [music] as Kenyon taught it. Woven into your daily life, the first element is this. You must establish your covenant position before you ever address your condition. Every single day before you check your body before you reach for the phone and read your messages before you even get fully oriented to the morning you open your mouth and you speak from the word. You speak who you are before you address what you have. You say, "I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I am a new creation. Old things have passed away. All things have become new. I am a child of God an heir of God a joint heir with Jesus Christ. The spirit of God dwells in me and the life of God flows through me. By his stripes I was healed. By his stripes I am healed. Healing belongs to me as a covenant right purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ. I receive it now. I stand in it now. This is not my hope for someday. This is my reality today." Say that before you feel it. Say it before the symptoms confirm it. Say it in the face of every piece of evidence that seems to argue against it. Because you are not speaking from what you see. You are speaking from what the covenant says. And the covenant is more real than the symptom. More authoritative than the medical report. More permanent than the temporary condition the enemy has been trying to establish in your body.
Words have creative power in the kingdom of God. God framed the worlds by speaking. Jesus spoke to fevers and they left. He spoke to storms and they stopped. He spoke to dead men and they rose. That same voice activated authority has been delegated to the body of Christ. And it is activated by your mouth when you speak the word in faith.
The second element is the refusal. You must refuse deliberately and consistently to give voice to what the enemy is trying to establish. This is where most believers stumble. They make the confession in the morning and then spend the afternoon describing their symptoms in detail to their co-workers, their family members, their friends on the phone. They have a conversation with their spouse at dinner where they rehearse every bit of bad news from the day. And then they wonder why their confession is not producing results. Listen to what Kenyon observed over decades of watching people walk this out. The moment you begin describing your problem to someone who cannot do anything about it in the spirit, you are giving life to it. You are feeding it your words and your attention. And words are currency in the kingdom. What you invest your words in grows. The symptom grows when you water it with your confession. It shrinks when you starve it of the attention and agreement it is demanding from you.
Now, let me be clear because this teaching gets misunderstood. This is not denial. Kenyon was not teaching Christian Science. He was not saying that the physical reality does not exist or that you should ignore serious medical conditions without any practical response. He was teaching dominion. And dominion is entirely different from denial. Denial says the thing does not exist. Dominion says the thing exists, but it has no legal authority over me and I refuse to confess it as my master. You can acknowledge that your body is reporting a symptom without elevating that symptom to the status of final authority in your life. You can see a doctor and receive treatment without abandoning your covenant confession. But your words, the ones you choose to give the weight of your faith to, must agree with the word and not with the symptom. You cannot confess two things simultaneously. You will confess the covenant or you will confess the symptom. And whichever one you confess most consistently is the one that shapes your experiential reality.
When people ask how you are, learn to answer from your covenant position, not with a lie, not by pretending nothing is wrong, but by anchoring your response in the truth that outranks the present situation. You can say, "I am standing on the word of God for my complete healing and I expect the manifestation in Jesus' name." You can say, "According to 1 Peter 2:24, I was healed by the stripes of Jesus and I am holding fast to that confession." You can say, "The symptoms are temporary, but the word is eternal. And I am choosing to agree with the word." These are not evasions. These are declarations of covenant position. And every time you make them, you are reinforcing the spiritual reality that will eventually break through into the physical realm.
The third element is meditation and saturation. Before I tell you what this looks like, let me tell you what it is not. It is not reading your healing scriptures once in a quiet time and then closing the book and going on with your day as if you have completed a spiritual obligation. It is not a perfunctory morning ritual that you rush through before the demands of the day take over. Kenyon was careful to distinguish between mental assent, which is the mere intellectual acknowledgement that a scripture is true, and faith, which is the inner reality of that truth lived from the spirit. Mental assent says, "Yes, I believe that 1 Peter 2:24 is in the Bible and that it applies to believers." >> [music] >> Faith says that verse is the operating reality of my body and I govern my body by it. Not by anything else. The difference between those two postures is the difference between a medicine that sits in the cabinet and a medicine that is taken every day as prescribed.
Kenyon taught consistently that [music] the great confession only produces great results when it flows from a spirit that has been thoroughly saturated with the word. You cannot make a powerful confession of something you barely believe. The confession must flow from a deep inner knowing. A spiritual certainty that goes beyond mental acknowledgement into the bedrock of your recreated spirit. And that depth of knowing comes from meditation. From spending time with the healing scriptures daily, reading them out loud, speaking them over yourself, asking the Holy Spirit to illuminate them and make them real on the inside of you. Get Isaiah 53 and read it out loud every day. Get 1 Peter 2:24 and speak it over your body every morning. Get Matthew 8:17. Psalms 103:2-3. Psalms 107:20. 3 John 2. Build a library of healing scriptures in your spirit, not just in your memory. Not just in your notebook. In your spirit. Where they become the spontaneous response of your inner man when the enemy comes with symptoms and fear and doubt. The word has to be more alive on the inside of you than the symptom is loud on the outside of you. And that only happens through deliberate, consistent, daily saturation.
Romans 12:2 says, "Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." The word transform there is the Greek word *metamorpho*, from which we get our word metamorphosis. It is the word [music] used to describe what happens to a caterpillar inside the chrysalis. The complete restructuring of the creature at the level of its fundamental nature. The renewing of the mind is not a minor adjustment to your thinking. It is a complete restructuring of how you perceive reality, how you interpret experience, what you accept as authoritative, and what you reject as a lie. And it happens through the word. Not through positive thinking. Not through visualization. Through the living word of God applied consistently to the mind and spirit of the believer.
Now, I have to warn you, and I would be dishonest with you if I did not. The moment you begin to walk in this, the moment you pick up the covenant and start making the great confession, the moment you shift from begging to enforcing, the enemy is going to push back. And he is not going to be subtle about it in your experience. Even if he is subtle in his tactics, because what you are doing is directly threatening his occupation of territory he has no legal right to hold. And he is not going to vacate quietly.
He will come first through the symptoms themselves. The body may seem to get louder after you start confessing. The pain may seem more intense. The reports may seem to get worse before they get better. This is not evidence that the confession is failing. This is the enemy rattling the cage because he can feel the ground shifting under his feet. This is what happened when God began moving in Egypt before the Israelites walked out free. The pressure increased before the deliverance came. The enemy turned up the heat. Do not interpret intensification of the symptom as evidence that you are on the wrong track. It may be the most powerful evidence that you are on exactly the right track and the enemy knows it.
He will come through time. He will use the gap between your confession and the manifestation to introduce doubt. On day three, when nothing has visibly changed, he will whisper that this does not work for you. On day seven, he will suggest that maybe you do not have enough faith. On day 14, he will start arguing that perhaps this is not God's will for you after all. Do not give him the conversation. Hebrews 10:23 says, "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised." Hold fast. The language is the language of someone gripping something with both hands in a storm. The storm does not mean the thing you are gripping is not real. The storm is exactly why you grip it harder.
He will come through people, well-meaning people, people who love you, people whose concern is genuine but whose revelation is shallow. They will look at you with worried eyes and say, "You really ought to get that looked at. You should not be ignoring this. Are you sure you are not just in denial?" And there will be a pulling you toward the familiar comfort of their concern, toward the validation of someone taking your symptoms seriously, toward the warmth of being understood and not having to hold the confession alone in the face of discouraging circumstances. >> [music] >> The loneliness of walking the faith walk when everyone around you is operating by sense knowledge is real and Canyon did not pretend it was not. He knew what it cost people to hold the confession when the crowd was not holding it with them. But he also knew what it produced. >> [music] >> Resist the pull toward sense knowledge solidarity, not by being rude, not by breaking relationship, but by being clear and unmovable about where you stand and why. You can say, "I value your concern and I am trusting God's word on this." And then hold your confession.
He will come through your own feelings. There will be mornings when you do not feel like confessing. When the discouragement is so heavy that opening your mouth to declare covenant truth feels like an act of absurd pretension. When the gap between what you are saying and what you are experiencing is so wide that the confession feels hollow. On those mornings especially, open your mouth and confess anyway. The confession is not primarily about feeling confident. It is about aligning your words with the word of God and maintaining your legal standing regardless of your emotional state. Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Faith operates precisely in the gap between what is declared and what is yet visible. That is its domain. That is where it works.
Here is how you respond to every attack the enemy launches. You do not argue with him. You do not engage in extended theological debate about whether God heals today. You do not try to think your way through the symptoms with reason and analysis. You speak the word. Short, direct, scripture-backed, spoken in the authority of the name of Jesus. When the symptom screams, you say, "It is written, 'Himself took my infirmities and bare my sicknesses.'" When the doubt comes, you say, "It is written, 'By his stripes I was healed.'" When fear tries to grip you, you say, "It is written, 'For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.'" When the accuser comes with condemnation and tells you that you are not good enough, not consistent enough, not holy enough to receive healing, you say [music] it is written, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus." The word is your sword. Not a sword you wield with physical force. A sword you wield with your voice. In the name above every name. Against every claim the enemy is trying to make stand.
Do not sympathize with the symptom. This phrase from Kenyon is one of the most counterintuitive things you will encounter in this tradition. And one of the most important. Every human instinct says to acknowledge pain, to validate suffering, to sit with discomfort and give it the dignity of your full attention. And in some contexts, that instinct is appropriate. But when it comes to a symptom that the enemy is trying to establish as permanent in your body, sympathy is not compassion. Sympathy is agreement. Sympathy with the symptom says you are real and you have authority here. Dominion says you are temporary and you have no authority here. Because the covenant of the blood of Jesus Christ has established this body as the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit and you are operating as a trespasser. You do not comfort a trespasser. You serve notice.
And now, having laid this foundation, having walked you through the covenant and the legal framework and the practical application and the warfare strategy, I want to lead you in a spoken declaration. I want you to say this aloud. If you are alone, say it with full voice. If you are in public, speak it under your breath. If you are driving, say it to the windshield. If you are lying in a hospital bed right now, say it to the ceiling above you. Because heaven hears what you say. And the spirit realm responds to the spoken word. And the angels of God are given charge over you and they hearken to the voice of His word spoken from your mouth.
Say this with me now. Father God, I come before you today, not as a stranger, not as a beggar, not as someone who is outside the family trying to get in. I come as your covenant child, washed in the blood of Jesus Christ, born again of your spirit, made righteous in your sight by the finished work of the cross. Your word declares in 1 Peter 2:24 that by the stripes of Jesus I was healed. I receive that declaration as a legal fact. I do not receive it as a possibility or a hope for someday. I receive it as a present. Purchased. Legally established reality in my body and my life today. I declare that Jesus Christ bore my sicknesses at the whipping post before he ever went to the cross. He bore them. He carried them. He removed them from me just as surely as he removed my sins. Isaiah 53 verse 5 is my covenant. Matthew 8 verse 17 is my covenant. First Peter 2:24 is my covenant. And the enemy has no legal ground in this body. No rightful authority over my physical life. And no claim that the blood of Jesus has not already answered. I evict him now from every place he has tried to occupy. I enforce the verdict of Calvary in the name of Jesus Christ, the son of the living God. I declare that the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in me and quickens my mortal body. I declare that the life of God, the Zoe life, the very life of the creator of the universe, is flowing through every cell, every organ, every system of this body right now. I hold fast to the confession of my hope without wavering. I will not move from this covenant. I will not negotiate with the symptom. I will not entertain the fear. I stand in the finished work. I stand in the stripes of Jesus. I stand in the name that is above every name. And I receive my healing in full. In Jesus' name. Amen.
That is your declaration. Say it every morning. Say it every time the symptom tries to pull your attention back to sense knowledge. Say it when the fear comes. Say it when the discouragement comes. Say it when you do not feel like saying it. Because the power is not in the feeling behind the words. The power is in the word behind the words. You are not generating the healing with your mouth. You are enforcing what God has already generated through the cross. You are the voice of enforcement and the word of God is the legal authority backing everything you say.
Now, I want to ask you to do one thing in the comments of this video. I want you to type this exact phrase, "By his stripes, I am healed." That is it. Four words. But, those four words are a public covenant declaration. A seed sown into the ground of faith. And a statement [music] to heaven and hell of where you are standing. If I may share something personal with you before we close, I want to step back from the preacher's posture for a moment and just speak to you the way one pilgrim speaks to another on the same road. This revelation is not a switch you flip once and never have to revisit. I have learned that personally and I want to save you the confusion of thinking otherwise. There have been seasons in my own walk where I had to go back to the beginning. Back to Isaiah 53. Back to 1 Peter 2:24. Not because the covenant had changed or because God had moved, but because my mind needed renewing again. The enemy is patient. He will wait for an exhausting week or a frightening report or a season of just being human and worn down. And then he will come and try to reclaim what you have taken. The covenant holds even in those seasons. That is the beauty of grace. It does not rest on the strength of your grip. It rests on the faithfulness of the one who made the promise. What I have come to know is this. The moment I start describing my symptoms out loud to people who cannot help me in the spirit, I lose ground I just gained. Guarding your words is not a spiritual performance. It is covenant stewardship. And if today you find yourself a mature believer who has known these truths for years and still finds the battle hard, take heart. The greater one inside you is greater still than anything coming against you from outside. Rest in that. He never lets go. Walk gently forward. The covenant is holding you.
