Hi, and thank you for joining me for another exciting episode of the Vintage Reed Show.
Well, his royal oishness, Prince Andrew, sex obsessed, vulgar, vile, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. The Daily Mail published an exclusive article by Andrew Looney today with teasers from his latest book entitled The Rise and Fall of the House of York due for release on August the 14th. Now, reading this article just took my breath away. And it did fill me with a multiple feelings. Feelings of contempt, a little anger, and also intrigue because you realize that there must have been a conspiracy of silence and an orchestrated campaign to keep all this horror show on the down low away from the taxpayers of the UK and the people of the Commonwealth. And you start to realize that way before Virginia Dry really Andrew had earned his own downfall.
Now, the article opens with a quote from none other than Jeffrey Epstein. And this is the quote. "From the reports I've got back from women we've shared, he's the most perverted animal in the bedroom. He likes to engage in stuff that's even kinky to me, and I'm the king of kink."
Now, some would argue, so what? He's an adult. He can be as kinky as he likes. However, the problem is the evidence points to this happening on trips, official trips, where he was representing the UK, not only as a member of the royal family, but as a trade envoy for the UK.
Now, in this brief article, we are taken back to Prince Andrew's early days, where he earned the nickname Randy Andy whilst he was at Gordon, and he was good-looking back then. He was a real girl magnet, and that nickname did stick. He also served his country by piloting a helicopter in the Falklands and he was pursued by scores of swooning girls. HR then stood for his royal heartthrob which makes the fall from grace all the more stark.
When we read that he slept with thousands of women from porn stars, actresses, models, athletes, politicians, and bartenders when he represented our late queen in Thailand, for example, for the king of Thailand's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. It was reported that Prince Andrew entertained more than 40 women. This is the quote. "Often, as soon as one left, another would arrive."
Kinky sexual activity, no boundaries, and living out his wildest sexual fantasies aside, he also lacked discernment. A start quote from Malcolm Barker, who worked at the palace was that he was forever dragging the worst bunch of tarts up to dine with his mother.
Then there's the bullying, which appears to be next level stuff. Really, Andrew could have given a masterclass to Megan Markle. His appalling behavior with a professional sports masseuse was just one example and she was a professional sports masseuse. Nothing untoward. Andrew insisted on being naked and being a persistent sex pest.
Now the foundation of his bullying behavior is being very full of himself. The quote being, "Do you know who I am?" And also he was a nightmare to sit next to at dinner with lots of dirty jokes about whether you're wearing knickers. I wonder if that made Sarah Ferguson fall in love with them. So classy. The sort of man who finds whoopy cushions funny. We've all met him.
Now, there was a little snippet about Prince Edward pre Sophie days when he was actually dating Romy Adlington, who had accepted an invite to go duck shooting at Sandringham. She was warned that she would have to travel up to Sandringham with Prince Andrew and this was presented to her as very bad news. Apparently, Andrew joked with her about farting in the bath. His edifying observation, "They smell worse when you do them in the bath."
More telling, though, I think, is him getting some jollies by humiliating others. At a formal society event, he unzipped a woman broadcaster's evening dress without any warning. the full length of her back. So, he was picking on someone who felt unable to respond. Can you imagine how mortifying and humiliating that would be? You would be completely exposed. All your underwear showing, probably not able to zip it up on your own yourself. Let's face it, that's assault. I'll tell you what, he wouldn't want to try that on me. He'd be walking like a cowboy for a month, prince or no prince.
Other juvenile pranks. Placing a sache of mustard between people's hands and getting them to clap with their eyes closed so they would get a face full of mustard. Shoving his female dinner companion's face into a plate of pate after asking her to sniff it.
Now, I was really disappointed to see comments under the Daily Mail article suggesting that this was funny. No, it's not. There's an imbalance of power. It's designed to humiliate. And if you can't tell the difference, I can't help you.
Cheats at golf, too. Apparently, a ball in a bunker casually thrown out onto the green. My father always told me that someone who cheats at golf indicates someone of very poor character that is definitely not worth knowing or trusting.
He was also unbelievably cruel to staff, long-term staff, people that had worked faithfully for the royal family for years. In one case over 11 years, he called him an effing imbecile and told him to get out. His great crime, he referred to his grandmother as the queen mother, which is how staff did refer to her. They held her in great affection. They called her the queen mother so they wouldn't sort of mix her up with Queen Elizabeth II. But he got raked over the coals in that appalling way by Prince Andrew for not calling her Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. What a penicity little pratt. He was also a boore whose main conversation was all about himself.
Yet now the counterargument a more sympathetic take. And there was some sympathy for Prince Andrew. Ian Hendra, a fellow cadet with Andrew at Dartmouth Naval College, found him a bit remote and thought that he overcompensated for shyness by being so bombastic, saying he put on his royal hat to protect himself and that that was actually a veneer.
It's interesting that after the 2021 bullying allegations against Meghan Markle, Buckingham Palace actually braced itself for Andrew's bullying to come to light to become a major story once more. They were fully aware of all the bullying, his profanities, and impossible demands.
Another prevailing theme in this sample in the Daily Mail is the fact that he's never been held to count. He's gone through life with the belief that rules do not apply to him. Sounds a lot like Harry, doesn't it?
A policeman was even injured due to his reckless driving. And nothing was done. The policeman reported it to his superiors. Nothing was done. He was not held to account. He didn't even have to apologize. Gates were damaged at Windsor because he decided to drive through them rather than take a detour, which was just a onemile detour due to a faulty sensor. And guess who picked up the bill for that? The UK taxpayer. Complaints were made to the Lake Queen about him speeding through Windsor Great Park in that he forced people to actually leap out of his way to narrowly escape injury. Unfortunately for the policeman, he didn't escape injury. So the toad of Toad Hall indeed.
Now here's a juicy bit. In 2013, Harry and Andrew got into a big fight. Why does that not surprise me? A heated argument, a big battle between the two spares. Punches were thrown over a comment that Andrew made about Harry behind his back and Harry left Uncle Andy with a bloody nose before the fight was broken up by others there.
Now, Andrew evidently told age that Mega Markle was way too old for him and accused Harry of going bonkers and not doing due diligence on her very colorful past. I guess even a clock is right twice a day, pardon the cliche.
According to the same source, Williams relationship with his rather sorted uncle isn't any better. With William referring to Andrew as a tosser, whereas Harry prefers, and this is a direct quote, and these are quite, you know, rude. Harry referred to him as a puffer, which isn't very PC. Harry an and a twit. William is working behind the scenes to evict him from Royal Lodge. He believes he isn't caring for the property properly and he can't stand Auntie Sarah. It makes you wonder whether the recent attacks on William really came from across the pond in Maladramacito or a little closer to home in Windsor.
Now, Andrew Looney makes the point that he gave the Yorks ample opportunity to counter this negative narrative to give him access to people that would give him positive stories about the Yorks. However, everyone was told not to talk to him, including the foreign office, instructing their ambassadors not to talk to him about Andrew's time as special representative for trade and investment. Even though he was a civil servant at the time with his extensive travel funded by the UK taxpayer, we know that he was referred to at the time as Air Miles Andy.
So to conclude the point he's made in this article that one of the most objectionable facts is that the curated narrative of the Yorks has been policed by armies of lawyers and PR people and non-disclosure agreements and the convention the parliamentary questions cannot be asked about the royal family therefore shielding them from proper scrutiny. And I would argue that those that have nothing to hide have nothing to fear from proper scrutiny. I don't think William and Katherine and the Wales children have anything to fear, for example. It's fortunate that many were willing to speak to the author, Andrew Looney, so we can access a more realistic and revealing story. From their revelations and hundreds of credible sources, he's compiled this book entitled The Rise and Fall of the House of York out on August the 14th.
