All right. What's up, guys? Welcome back to the MindBody Mushroom. Today, I have a special solo cast uh that I wanted to record for you guys. Um, I'm sure everyone on planet Earth has been following this Epstein story. Uh, this is something that I have been passionate about for at least a decade now. And this is a story that I've found to be super interesting and obviously extremely relevant right now. Um, but it's a hard one to kind of jump into because you're like, do I start at the beginning? Do I do a highle view? like how do I, you know, tackle this beast and and put it in a way that is coherent and um also isn't going to require me making, you know, the next 10 episodes about Epstein. So, um it's kind of why I've never really tried producing any content about it. Uh but I've been following the work of Drop Site News which has published some really interesting articles um specifically about Epstein's relation to Israel and sort of his work as a pretty apparent intelligence asset. Um, but they're they are doing some groundbreaking reporting and are some of the only people who are really talking about these stories. So, um, what I thought I'd do is read you through uh, one of their latest articles that came out on November 18th and, uh, kind of pause to make some commentary along the way. um because I think it really demonstrates how the world works at the highest echelons of power. Um, you know, these are the elite circles where the there's a murky overlap between intelligence agencies, um, big business, organized crime, elite banking families, nation states, blackmail rings. I mean, it's it's everything that you could possibly uh you know, ask for in like a James Bond movie, but somehow dumb and disgusting and you know, [ __ ] up across the board. But for that reason, I feel like I was just going to read through this and then go off on maybe tangents um as I think of stuff.

All right, now we got that out of the way. This article is published on November 18th over at Dropsite News. I highly recommend anyone check out some of their other articles because they've been doing a series about this. Um, but this one's called Jeffrey Epstein pursued Swiss Rothschild Bank to finance Israeli cyber weapons empire. Now, it's a pretty psychedelic title, but I'm telling you, it gets even weirder. Now, let's begin. [clears throat]
With an avalanche of new documents released by the House Oversight Committee and looming legislation mandating further disclosures, the press has renewed its relentless coverage of the life and times of Jeffrey Epstein. Yet, with some notable exceptions, a major part of his life's work has remained outside the media's gaze. his relationships with the state of Israel and his prominent role in helping advance the Israeli cyber weapons ind industry. On July 31st, 2019, just 11 days before Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in a Manhattan jail cell, his connection to the Rothschild banking dynasty became the subject of major public controversy. Anonymous sources informed Bloomberg of a 2015 visit to Epstein's New York mansion by Baroness Arian de Rothschild, the CEO of Edmund D Rothschild Group, a storied private bank and one of the largest Swiss Swiss financial institutions by assets under management. The bank's spokesperson denied any relationship to the notorious American sex trafficker. Epstein was found dead on August 10th, 2019. Four years later, after Epstein's meeting calendars were leaked to the Wall Street Journal, the bank finally admitted that D Rothschild had met with Epstein as part of her normal duties at the bank between 2013 and 2019. Epstein provided introductions to US finance leaders and law firms and provided tax and risk consulting. the bank disclosed while also helping D. Rothschild personally on a quote couple of occasions with advice on estate management. The bank remained vague about the actual nature of its relationship with the convicted sex trafficker.
Newly released documents revealed that Epste and Rothschild's personal relationship was much closer than the bank previously acknowledged. According to emails released by the US House Oversight Committee on November 12th, Epstein planned to see a Broadway play with Rothschild in January 2014 and scheduled a private trip [clears throat] with her to Montreal that September. A second set of documents, the leaked inbox of former Israeli defense minister Ahood Barack, hacked by Hondala and uploaded by nonprofit whistleblower distributed denial of secrets, sheds light on Epstein's effort to leverage his personal friendship with D. Rothschild to raise funds for the development of Israeli cyber weapons. After Barack's retirement in government in 2013, he recruited Pavo Gerage Gervich, a graduate of the Israeli Defense Forces secretive unit 8100 technology group, a source cyber weapons to source cyber weapons startups from the Israeli intelligence community. Gervich did not respond to requests for comment. Now, the secretive uh unit 8100 is the equivalent of Israelis uh like NSA. So, it's a very uh elite cyber security um arm of the Israeli government. Now, private communications between Barack and Gerbich showed discussions about a wide range of cyber weapon concepts drawn from the Israeli military research. Inspired in part by the astonishing scope of US global surveillance apparatus revealed by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden in 2013. Epstein pushed forward a plan to finance Israeli offensive cyber startups with a hope of winning Droths support. Epstein often played the role of middleman, handing off messages between the banker and the former prime minister. In one note, Epstein passed along a tantalizing offer from D. Rothschild to Barack. If Ahood wants to make serious money, you'll have to build a relationship with me. Take time so that we can truly understand one another. End quote. Barack asked for advice, deferring to Epstein's supposed expertise on women. Quote, I'm ready. End quote. He wrote, Quote, "But but I need your advice regarding how," in all caps, parenthesis, "ladies, is your forte." End quote. Neither Barack nor D. Rothschild responded to requests for comment from Drop Site News. The Hondala hacking team is suspected of having links to Iran, but Dropsite has been able to verify the authenticity of a number of private details in the Barack [clears throat] email database. Many of Epstein's emails have also been verified via the House disclosure. It's not clear whether the Rothschild's bank ultimately participated directly in Epstein and Barack's cyber weapons efforts, but in October 2015, the Rothschild negotiated a $25 million contract with Epstein's Southern Trust Company, the same entity Epstein used to fund Barack's intelligence linked security startup Reporty Homeland Security, which is now known as Carbine 911, which is a crazy company doing really [ __ ] up stuff. But um that's a different tangent. Um according to proposal reviewed by the Wall Street Journal, the multi-million dollar contract was a for quote risk analysis and the application and use of certain algorithms end quote. House disclosures showed that Epstein and the Rothschild remained close in the years before Epstein's death. In an email exchange in 2018 with former Obama White House counselor Katherine Rumler, Epstein gossiped about D. Rothschild's marital issues with Benjamin D. Rothschild, heir to the Arrothchild fortune. He wrote to Rumbler. Arian has been giving her a excuse me, Aron said, "Ben giving her a very hard time and did not know about tattoo. She wants her to do lielike things. Uggh." End quote. Rimler replied, "Barf."
Also, all of these emails, like there's the the punctuation sucks, which is normal, I suppose, like people don't usually use punctuation, but the grammar and just like the way that they speak to each other, it's insane how lowbrow these bougie elites actually are like behind closed doors. Like, these people are so uncou in how they speak and communicate. Um, so Rumler met Epstein when he reached out after she left the Obama administration on behalf of the Rothschild Bank, asking if she'd be willing to represent them in an ongoing Department of Justice investigation into moneyaundering and tax evasion. Rimler accepted and helped negotiate a nonprosecution agreement. So Obama's former uh White House legal counsel, Cath Kathy Rumler, um was helping defend Epstein for an investigation into moneyaundering and tax evasion that the Department of Justice was doing uh and helped negotiate a nonprosecution agreement. So essentially saying like that we're not going to prosecute uh Epstein for these crimes. So that's what she was doing and it just kind of shows that like this is it goes beyond politics and it's on both sides of the aisle. You know, you have Obama's attorney basically helping Epstein, but he's best friends with Trump. You know, there's at these really high levels, it's not about left verse right. Like that is how they keep us, the unwashed masses, fighting with each other and essentially cheering for our tribal football teams. Um when behind closed doors, they're all friends. They're all going to the same parties. uh they're all engaging in business with each other, communicating. So, it's it's like pro wrestling for the dumb unwashed masses so that we keep fighting and stay distracted while they do these corrupt business deals. Um, as you'll see in in some of what's uncovered down below.
Now, Barack and Epstein frequently discussed regulatory issues facing their swift Swiss bank partners. As Epstein scouted opportunities to finance Barack's cyber security enterprise, the email data sets, which are mostly clustered between 2012 to 2016, show Barack and Epstein working on a particular, excuse me, on a partnership between Arian D. Rothschild and Boris Kardi, then CEO of Swiss bank Julius Bear. Edmond D. Rothschild Group and Julius Bear were both implicated in major tax evasion and moneyaundering investigations during that same period of time. The communications do not reflect Epstein or Barack's involvement with banks responses to the investigations.
Now, early in 2013, while Ahud Brock was entering the final months of his term as Israelis Minister of Defense, he was being privately courted by international private banks in Davos, Switzerland. Huh, Davos? What else happens there? Who sought to use his political connections to attract ultra-wealthy individuals as new clients. In March 2013, soon after he resigned from the defense ministry, Barack received a quote rain maker agreement from Boris Kardi, then CEO of Julius Bear Group, a Swiss private bank based in Zurich. The agreement offered Barack over $750,000 for a one-year retainer while naming him as a strategic adviser, offering geopolitical advice to bank leadership. In his pitch to Julius Bear, so the bank, he recommended the bank seek out new sources for capital in uncharted waters, proposing in an email, quote, Russian, probably Chinese as well as Jewish non US capital as new major sources for capital end quote. Simultaneously, Barack signed a million-doll contract with Renova Group, a Russian conglomerate. So essentially this guy is working, you know, as the defense minister in Israel. As soon as he gets out, it's Swiss banks and Russian oligarchs and Chinese uh, you know, venture funds like this is the revolving door. And this is not just an Israel problem. This is exactly what happens in the US. you know, these these CIA director, NSA director, people that work in government at these really high levels, they just kind of rotate into the private industry and then leverage their contacts within government um to get these massive uh commissions for themselves. Um, so that is sort of the corruption that isn't even really illegal. This is just sort of like known. This is how things work. But uh yeah, so that was he was leveraging his relationships with the Israeli government and uh Israel Israeli military technology to these wealthy individuals kind of all across the world.
Three days after the press release about Brock's hiring was published that July, Olivier Colom, senior adviser to Benjamin D. Rothschild's famous Edmund Drothschild bank, sent an email to Barack's close associate, Jeffrey Epstein. Quote, "I hear that Ahood Barack has decided to work for Julius Bear. Colom wrote, "Too bad. We may have been able to offer him something. Too late." End quote. Epstein forwarded the message to Barack who replied, "Not a surprise to you, I believe. Let's talk about it later." End quote.
Epstein enjoyed a close personal relationship with Arian D. Rothschild, the then vicechairman, now CEO of the Edmund D. Rothschild group. Arian Logner had married into the French branch of the Rothschild's dynasty in 1999. And after her husband's death in 2021, she became the first person without Rothschild's fraternity to run the family-owned banking institution. Rock, however, was not a big fan of D. Rothschild. He sent Epstein an article on Edmund D. Rothschild's $300 million investment fund for Africa in which Arian explained that the bank hoped to invest in booming in a booming consumer economy, not endless war for resources. Quote, "Africa will be the equivalent of China. What is of interest to me is that it is not led anymore by mines and energy, but that banks and insurance companies are developing." End quote. she said. Barack was horrified, captioning the article, globalization of cultural and media consumption. Epstein was shim similarly grinned. Quote, "I am aware," he lamented. "She is lost." It's no mystery why Epstein and Brock disagreed with D. Rothschild's take on Africa. The two men were simultaneously engaged in mining and energy investments in several African countries. Selling Israeli security tech to embattled presidents in Nigeria, Kavoir and beyond. Creating a booming consumer economy in Africa was not on their agenda. And there's another article that drops site published about um Epstein selling Israeli security tech to cotir and it just kind of shows um this dude is doing business on behalf of Israel, not just Israeli tech or as a middleman. I mean, there's definitely a degree of kind of plausible deniability, like, you know, he's not a W2 employee of the Israeli government or any government for that matter. But that's kind of how these intelligence cutouts work. They want to find people that have relationships and are willing to operate on behalf of the interests of the uh countries that they represent, but that are not necessarily directly tied to it. But you're not just like some financeier when you're selling technology, Israeli tech to warlords in Nigeria.
Right now, in his emails to Barack, Epstein indicated he was he viewed Arian D. Rothschild as a misguided byproduct of nepotism. He compared Benjamin D. Rothschild's decision to appoint her as chairman to the bank, to Barack putting his son-in-law, a classical chist, in charge of the Israeli military. Quote, "She has many interf family interf family battles as well as biz. It would have been like you making yoid the defense minister because he was family." Whatever misgivings Epstein had about Rothschild, it didn't impede his desire to leverage her resources for grander ambitions. Epstein was a super connector of the world's elite and began building a relationship between the former prime minister and the private banking aists. He invited Barack and Rothschild to dinner at his New York mansion on September 23rd, 2013. So this is after his uh he like sweetheart agreement that Alex Aosta gave him in uh Palm Beach was in 2007. So this is 2013. So, anyone that is working with Jeffrey Epstein at this point knows that he is a convicted sex trafficker.
On November 18th, Brock sent Epstein a link to the news article about Edmond D. Rothschild's bank, opening a new London branch with a message, quote, "Any news recently from the lady." 3 days later, Epstein passed along a message from D. Rothschild to Barack. Quote, "My thoughts were confirmed when it was said to me, if Ahood wants to make serious money, he will have to build a relationship with me. Take time so that we can truly understand each other." End quote. Epstein told Barack he didn't respond to D. Rothschild's offer. I just listen. Barack was eager to exploit the opportunity, but he deferred to Epstein on the psychology of women. Well, I'm ready, but I need your advice regarding how ladies is your forte. Epstein told Barack what he must offer to D. Rothschild. Time, attention, stable, recurring, predictable, all caps, where, what, when. See, this is what I mean. This is like this pretentious [ __ ] like what are you you know time attention stable like this oh I'm so [ __ ] wise and and I'm giving you this sage advice you know and I'm speaking like I'm a spy but it's you're saying nothing like this no one knows what the [ __ ] you're even talking about. There's a lot of that in these emails, but Barack offered Epstein ideas for a donor advised venture capital fund focused on strategic sectors of the Israeli tech economy. A donor advised fund is a philanthropic fund that allows donors to make taxdeductible contributions while recommending which investments and grants to spend the money on. This is crazy and I I'll explain but um I let me get to the end of the paragraph. Edmund D. Rothschild's Bank was known for building umbrella funds with smaller thematic funds that could attract large amounts of capital from global investors. Barack proposed a small fund as in four to 5% of the overall planned volume based on Israeli companies in telecommunications, cyber security and biotech. First let me just kind of comment on this. Ahood Barack is suggesting you know just a small fund. So you have this large umbrella fund and just a small sliver of that for these you know thematic funds. So four to 5% four to 5% as in four or 5% of the overall planned volume would be going to fund telecommunication cyber security and biotech. Biotech is one of the most capital inensive industries you could possibly like you and I don't just go and start a biotech firm. you know, I have a startup coffee firm and I could barely afford to bootstrap that business. Um biotech is like Fizer, it's Madna, you know, these are incredibly um capital intensive industries. Same thing with telecommunications and cyber security. Um, and so that just gives you some perspective on how large these funds we're we're talking about. If 4% of it can fund a biotech startup, multiple biotech startups, we're talking about hundreds of millions, you know, probably tens of billions of dollars. These are massive, massive funds.
Now, [clears throat] what I uh mentioned earlier, which is kind of crazy, is these I had never heard of these. They're called donor advised VC funds. It's a philanthropic fund. So essentially wealthy people get to donate money to these VC funds so that they get tax deductions and then they get to make recommendations for which investments that the grants spend uh the money on. So, it's kind of like a way of getting a taxdeductible um investment vehicle where you get to pick how your money is invested. There's always going to be kickbacks and and opportunities. Uh, you know, you're not actually doing this out of philanthropy. This is a business decision because you're expecting some sort of return. You know, how you get that return uh with you know, I don't 100% know. Maybe it's as simple as you just get some sort of percentage on the upside of your investment. I don't 100% know, but it's just showing like at at this level, you're able to there's vehicles and investment vehicles that the average person obviously does not have access to. where you get to make taxdeductible donations to a philanthropic fund where you are funding the development of Israeli telecommunications and cyber security as what I mentioned earlier in offensive like cyber hacking and stuff like that. Um ju just super interesting that but okay now Epstein had been pursuing the concept of a large donor advised fund for several years. According to unsealed emails from the US Virgin Islands lawsuit against JP Morgan Chase after the 2008 financial crisis. Epstein tried to convince JP Morgan executives to establish a donor advised fund backed by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. It's all the same players, all the same names, doing the same shady [ __ ] under the guise of philanthropy until he was forced out of the American bank in 2013. He continued to shop the idea to European private banks after he moved his accounts to Deutsche Bank in August of that year.
Barack asked Epstein for help building the relationship with Drothschild. I will need some guide along the way is what uh Barack asked. Epstein reassured Barack that he was in good company with former US military leaders [clears throat] with lucrative careers pedalling intelligence linked cyber security products. Former NSA and CIA director Michael Hayden and the US Cyber Command Keith Alexander. He wrote, Quote, "Okay, consider you, Michael Hayden, and Keith Alexander would be easy to raise serious money. You wouldn't have to do the dog and pony show." So again, just leveraging, you know, oh, you were the CIA director, like great, we'll just throw money at you.
On November 25th, 4 days after his conversation with Epstein about outreach to Rothschild, Barack arranged a private brainstorm session with Pavl Gerbich, a veteran of Unit 81, the secret technology unit of Israeli military intelligence. Barack and his business partner and failed to buy a major stake in the spin-off to the spyware vendor NSO Group whose products have been used to target dissident and journalists including the late Washington Post columnist Jamal Kosigible. Uh, I just want to pause for a second because it's interesting that they're talking about Jamal Kosigible because one when when Epstein was working at Beer Sterns and he was doing um, you know, quote unquote financial bounty hunting help essentially helping people hide money and uh, minimize their tax exposure. One of his clients was this guy named Adnan Kosigible. Adnan Kosigible was um an associate of Robert Maxwell and was one of the largest weapons traffickers in uh the during the Iran Contra scandal and uh Trump actually bought Adnan Kosogible's yacht and named it uh Princess, you know, for Ivanka. But so here's the the Trump connection to Adnan Kosogible. Adnan Kosogible's connection to Jeffrey Epstein. Jeffrey Epstein's connection with um uh companies that were targeting dissident like Jamal Kosigible. Um, and Jamal Kosigible was not just a journalist for the record. Like there his ties go much deeper and he was very much in this kind of Contra web. Uh, so he kind of gets played off as just like this like oh innocent um, wall Washington Post journalist. But there's a lot more to his story as well. Um, but I would highly also recommend people check out [gasps] the on Netflix they did a documentary called The Octopus Conspiracy. Uh, there's it's pretty good there. There's a lot of other content around it that I think is better. There's been some good podcasts, uh, some other documentaries, but it's about the Promise Software scandal. Um, essentially this journalist named Danny Castillo back in the early 90s was uh investigating this story. He was writing an article for his magazine that he worked for that um had to do with like the US government um well it was a it was a lawsuit between the US government and this um company that like a software development company called um Insaw and they had created one of these first um like database softwares. It was called promise and it was meant it was an acronym for prosecutor management information system just a way of like storing data online in like a searchable queries. So something very common place nowadays but in the 80s this was a uh you know this was high technology uh and the promise software kind of was stolen from the this US software firm that had made it by the US government. They had installed a back door so they could access what the people who were using the software. You could see like what were they storing, what were they searching for, what were they doing. And this promised software got sold all around the world. Robert Maxwell uh had sold the software to the Soviet Union on behalf of Israel and uh Israel also had a back door into it. So, I mean, people were spying on everybody. We were spying on our allies. We were spying on our enemies. Um, but it just kind of goes to show well and uh the reason this Danny Castillo that was where he started he started investigating this like lawsuit and he just kind of kept piecing all these different components together into what he dubbed as the octopus because he was seeing that there's all these different tendrils in this network of shady people and power brokers that were it it was an overlap of like I mentioned at the top of this episode, organized crime, um offshore banks, intelligence agencies, and uh you know, drug trafficking, human trafficking, um sure, blackmail, sex trafficking, all the same, you know, every undesirable uh act was touched by this network. And as he was getting close to publishing something about this octopus conspiracy, Danny Castillo ends up um murdered in a bathtub or suicided really. Um, and it was just one of these things where everything kind of got brushed under the rug and only until much later when people started really investigating, you know, what was going on did they become clear like, oh yeah, this dude was probably unalived by the people involved in some way because he was getting close to the truth. But it just shows how weapons and technology transfers have been at the heart of high espionage and and uh you know big business for decades.
[clears throat] Let's see boom. Okay. Barack and Fagel were infatuated with the offensive hacking tools. Uh right right. Here we go. After the meeting, Gervich emailed Barack a map of undersea transatlantic cables and network access points which had been disclosed by the Snowden leaks with the caption, "Imagine a similar map of Chinese and Russian activities." Fagel, like Barack, was an elder statesman with limited technical understanding of cyber security, but he clearly understood the military and economic opportunity presented by cyber weapons like the promise software, right? And that was in the 80s. Think about what is available now with artificial intelligence and satellites and you know uh I'm sure that there is scary scary technology out there and um people are willing to do virtually anything to protect those interests. Figel wrote back, "I don't claim to understand this in detail, but it's striking that such info floats around the whole world. Somebody will always try to obtain such info andor try not to share such info. That's why the cyber market will never be satisfied and the problem can never be solved completely." Gervich agreed to advise Barack and Fagel on an investment fund to develop offensive cyber technology by finding promising earlystage companies and products in Israeli military research units. Gerbage proposed several areas of focus for cyber weapons including an NSO like company that targets cell phones, hacking tools for routers and internet connected appliances and surveillance of the tour network. Gerbitch began headhunting for military intelligence personnel working in these domains. The trio weighed strategies for spinning off Israeli intelligence tools into software as a service startups. Gervich wrote, "We can try to pursue projects like these individually or consider Ahood's idea of building an advanced cyber lab whose main purpose could be create proof of concepts that we can try selling using Ahood's connections. Once we see that there is interest in one, we can choose to develop it in the lab or spin out a firm dedicated to it.
In the meantime, Epstein continued to foster the growing personal relationship between Barack and Arian D. Rothschild. On January 30th, 2014, Epstein invited Barack to a dinner meeting in Paris with himself, Drothschild, and French President Nicolas Sarosi Sarosi. Epstein himself bowed out of the meeting shortly beforehand, saying he had a cold. But in a sign of his close interest in the meeting, he managed all the logistics by email, ultimately arranging for Barack to visit the Rothschild's bank office in Paris. Also, Emanuel Mcronone worked for a Rothschild bank before he became president. It was like an early job in his career. So just kind of an interesting thing that you know Rothschild's uh presidents heads of state Jeffrey Epstein it's all a tangled web right now the morning after the scheduled meeting at the Rothschild bank flew to Germany to attend the Munich transatlantic security conference there he met with Michael Hayden the former NSA director whom Edstein had previously name dropped while coaching Barack on the strategy for financing cyber weapons. Before his flight, Barack's wife, Neilie Pel, emailed him a dossier on Hayden to prepare him for the meeting. After the conference, Barack sent an email to Hayden thanking him for the appointment while referencing an unspecified plan to be set in motion. Quote, "It was good meeting you in Munich. I meant what I've said to you and wonder whether we can meet later this month to review the options. Let me know if the whole idea makes sense to you." End quote. Epstein later emailed Barack asking for an update on the on the talks. He asked, "How was Munich?" Barack replied, "Munich was okay. Better to talk over the phone." Barack and Hayden tried to schedule a follow-up meeting in New York City in the following week on February 26th, but the trips missed overlapping by a few hours. Hayden promised, "We'll keep working on it." And neither Fagel nor Hayden responded to the interview from Drop Site.
Now, while plans for the donor advised funds incubated, Epstein found more opportunities to bring Droths and Barack together under the banner of philanthropy and Israeli national security policy. On March 30th, 2014, Epstein sent Barack an email. I'm trying to figure out how I can be more helpful. The next day, Epstein passed along a message to Barack from the Rothschild Baroness. Quote, "Hi Jeff, would you mind asking Ahoo whether or not he's advising the Herzia conference editorial committee on bringing uh to the conference former or current defense minister security specialists." End quote. The Herzilia conference is an annual national security policy summit run by the Institute for Policy and Strategy founded by Exmasad Research Chief Uzi Arad. The conference convenes Israel's top political security, intelligence, and business leadership to shape the country's security agenda. Barack was on the board of directors of interd disciplinary center Herzilia, which organized the conference. Barack wanted to be helpful, but he was unsure how to respond to D. Rothschild's message about the conference attendees. Quote, "I'm on the board of the IDC think tank, which organizes Herzelia's conference, but what's the question?" End quote. Epste replied, "I send you what I receive and know." And told Brock, "I will be speaking to her in an hour." Brock asked Epste to gather more context. "Thanks. Use your senses to recommend me." The next day, Brock shared the conference speaker list with Epstein to deliver to Rothschild. With note, please don't use this material with others. The Rothschild Cesaria Foundation sponsored the 2014 Herzilia conference in honor of the foundation's 50th anniversary. Cesaria. Cesaria is a coastal region between Tel Aviv and Hifa where the ancient Roman and Byzantine port city once stood. In 1921, the British mandate government leased the Cesaria sand dunes to Edmund De Rothschild's Palestine Palestine Jewish Colonization Association for 200 years. So this just kind of shows how the roots of Zionism and the state of Israel um largely stem from British colonization uh Rothschild banking interests and you know listen I'm Jewish and I respect Israel's right to exist. I'm actually not anti-Israel. Um I think, you know, if you look back at, you know, many countries across the world, pretty much every country, there's some [ __ ] up, you know, inhumane crime that happened that created that nation. I mean, I live in the United States. like obviously you know colonization is is um part of the deal but we are told you know this that the state of Israel was a land without a people for a people without a land and when you really start digging into the actual history of it I mean you're seeing in the 1920s there's British mandates to lease uh the sand dunes to the Rothschilds for 200 years and now here we are in, you know, the 2010s and there is the state of Israel and the Rothschilds, you know, um lease using this this land for their own business interests. And then you just see the the the Gaza plan that happened under this uh ceasefire agreement. Um, and you see it's it's a giant development proposal, you know, and we have Tony Blair, the former prime minister of uh the UK. So, it's same playbook, just a different decade.
Now, moving on. The French branch of the Rothschild family was essential to founding the modern state of Israel. the Jewish state. The 1896 pamphlet considered the foundation of modern Zionism was originally titled address to the Rothschilds. In it, the Herdzil appealed to Edmund Rothschild whose family had become prominent financiers of the European colonial enterprise to finance settlements for Jews fleeing ghettos and pograms in Europe. The Rothschild's heir established the Palestine Jewish Colonization Association to purchase land for Jewish settlers. In February 1948, the Zionist paramilitary Hagana violently expelled the residents of a fishing village near the ruins of Cesaria and demolished most of the homes that remain. In 1962, Edmund D. Rothschild and the Israeli government agreed to convert the Cesaria lease into a taxexempt nonprofit foundation in which the foundation would develop the real estate around Cesaria with profits distributed as grants for higher education in Israel. But in 2010, regulars discovered the foundation held nearly half a billion shekels in surplus liquidity at the end of the year, but only contributed 20 million shekels to higher education. The Israeli tax authority issued an income tax assessment for more than 100 million shekels, challenging the foundation's taxexempt status. The Herzelia conference branding was a PR strategy for the Rothschild Foundation while the case was still pending in court. Arian de Rothschild delivered the 2014 Herzelia conference opening address on the legacy of Edmund Rothschild titled social entrepreneurship and the spirit of pioneering in the 21st century. Okay. In her speech, D. Rothschild addressed the tax dispute. Quote, "This deeply ingrained relationship between the Rothschild Foundation and the state of Israel is being questioned today by our partner. My husband Benjamin and I expect that won't be challenged any further." End quote. The bank executive used Herzelia platform to promote venture philanthropy, the very same nonprofit framework Epstein and Brock planned to exploit as a strategy for funding the Israeli technology sector. In an interview at the conference, she observed that Israel was unsustainably dependent on philanthropic grants as younger diasporic Jews inheriting wealth were reluctant to support Israel. She said, Quote, "Jews abroad struggle with their questions. Are we Jews? Are we Zionists? Are we both?" End quote. She proposed applying pure market tools to philanthropy so contributions could become venture investments rather than endowments. This way, a younger generation of donors could take an active role in shaping the outcomes of their charitable contributions. The startup nation must become the leading social startup nation." End quote.
The Rock had been scheduled to speak at the Herelia conference on June 10th, 2014, and he planned to meet with the Rothschild at the conference. Then, a few days before the conference began, Epstein informed Barack of the last minute plans for a dinner meeting with Peter Teal. Here we go. If you saw our Dark Enlightenment um episode, if you haven't, I recommend checking that, but you can see how all these [ __ ] big tech elites and weirdos are all tied into each other and their view for the future does not include you being free and happy. Uh Peter Teal on June 9th at Epsteion in Manhattan. Barack remained in New York and canceled his meeting with Rothschild in Israel. The Rothschild Baroness was frustrated by her reception at Herselia and Epstein relayed this to Barack in a June 12th email. Quote, "Are you in Geneva? You might want to tell Arian who hated the conference." End quote. Barack replied, "I'll be there next week. That's what happens where she first pays then checks rather than the other way around. I'll call you." After hanging up the phone, Epste immediately emailed D. Rothschild to set up a meeting with Brock. Epstein scheduled a breakfast at the Rothschild's home in June 18th before Epste privately emailed Brock to brief him. Quote, "She has a real problem with her foundation and the Israeli government. I will need 20 minutes of your time to brief you." End quote. After the meeting, Epstein pinged Barack for an update, writing, "Barack asked for a number to call so they could speak on the phone."
So, uh, it's unclear what, if any, help Barack could have offered to assist Rothschild in the foundation's tax dispute. The conflict was with the Israeli government escalated over the following year. In May 2015, Droths Child explained in an interview that her husband was refusing to visit the country in protest over the matter. "It's a shame that there's a misunderstanding about what we do and how we do it. It is insulting that the state cast doubt on us." [snorts] Uh Droth Child said, Quote, "If there is a family that does not have to prove its commitment to Israel, it's ours." End quote. Yeah, you [ __ ] shy [ __ ] Finally, in 2018, the Rothschild Foundation and the Israeli government announced that they had reached the new pact. As part of the deal, the foundation agreed to invest over 200 million in education grants in Israel while releasing land to build 2,000 homes on the seaside town of Orka or Akiba, a nearly exclusive Jewish community. The foundation fought efforts meanwhile to advance the land to the adjacent Palestinian Israeli town of Jir al- Zarka. The agreement extended the foundation's taxexempt status till at least 2032. In a statement announcing the pact, the Israeli government praised the considerable contribution of the Rothschild family to the realization of the Zionist vision and to the state of Israel. Drop site was unable to confirm whether Barack or Epstein was involved in the resolution to the dispute.
In May, we're getting close to the end, so stick it stick with me. Stick with me. In May of this year, Edmund Rothschild's bank's Luxembourg unit was convicted of money laundering related to embezzlement from Malaysia's sovereign wealth fund between 09 and 2013. Yeah, not surprised. This marked the first time a bank in Luxembourg ever had been convicted of moneyaundering. The Swiss financial regulator Fitma also found Julius Bear with whom Barack had a consulting agreement committed major anti-m moneyaundering violations during the same period. Boris Kardi, the head of the Julius Bear, was personally recommended by Finnma. Epstein and Barack were intimately familiar with moneyaundering and tax evasion issues facing Edmund Rothschild and Julius Bear and frequently discuss these topics with each other and occasionally with the heads of banks. In December of 2015, Edmund Rothschild's Bank entered its non-prosecution agreement under the Department of Justice Swiss Bank Program. The bank paid 45 million and admitted they had aided US clients in concealing undeclared accounts with multiple billions of dollars of assets. One month later on January 1st, 2016, Brock sent a congratul congratulatory email to Kardi on Julius Bear's settlement on a separate DOJ tax evasion evasion case in which the bank was accused of helping US clients hide 600 millions in undeclared Swiss accounts. The bank paid back nearly the full amount to the US government. Barack wrote Kardi in an enthusiastic note. That's really great. Epstein sent Brock a copy of the Justice Department's civil forfeite demand requiring Julius Barrett to surrender 220 million. Clardi did not respond for comment.
In April 2016, the same month as the Panama Papers leaks, the conversations between Epstein and Barack in the former Israeli prime minister's inbox came to a halt. One of the very last conversations between the two men concerned a discreet meeting between Drothschild and Kardi. On April 27th, Brock emailed Epstein about weekend schedules. Epstein replied, quote, "She said she would call me after the general meeting." Two days later, on April 29th, Barack wrote Epstein, quote, "I met Boris Kardi today in Monaco. He is ready. Assured discreetness. Any news from Arian D. Rothschild." End quote. A hood Barack's hacked email inbox contains no further emails between Barack and Epstein. But the latest document set released by the US House Oversight Committee in early November shows that Epstein and Brock's secret plan for Kardi and Rothschild was still progressing one year later. On April 30th, 2017, Barack shared a cryptic email with Epstein in an email thread discussing New York Times review of the Broadway play Oslo about Norwegian diplomat terms who played a part in the 1990s peace process between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization. about quote quote about time for our actions to turn into theater and movie pieces. End quote. Barack wrote, "Shall we talk? Any news from Boris Kardi or Arian De Roiles?" Epstein wrote back, "Both have the flu." Barack replied, "High stress."
All right. Well, I guess that's the end of the article, but uh I yeah, I hope this really illustrates just how deep the ties between Epstein and Israel are and how much bigger this story is. Um besides pedophilia and sex trafficking, which without a doubt are probably some of the worst aspects of it. Actually, for all I know, it could go much worse than that. There could be freaking human hunting parties and murder and you know, it it could be much worse. But in terms of like what we pretty much know about the Epstein story, um the sex trafficking is salacious and it's horrible. It it is one of the worst crimes I think you can commit is um defiling the innocence of a child. Uh but in terms of impact, this story is much larger than sex crimes. This has to do with surveillance tech, cyber tech, um espionage, banking, money laundering, sex trafficking. Well, yeah, I just said that. But, um, you know, it's it's all the financial crimes that are around it that I think have almost broader implications than the fact that all of these [ __ ] weirdos at the very top are they cannot figure out how to communicate with women. And so they have to like import them and you know use their wealth and influence to buy gratification because they're just that big of losers. Uh anyway, maybe I'll do a couple episodes in the future um as things come up that I find to be interesting or relevant, but I just wanted to get something out there because there's a lot of stuff going around about uh Epstein right now.
