This may be one of the largest abandoned mansions I think I've ever found. And something about it doesn't add up. 14,000 square ft, sitting alone on 44 acres in Texas, completely left behind. Look what's right behind me. This is absolutely gorgeous. I'm going to show you from top to bottom what this place is all about. And the deeper you go inside, the more it feels like this place wasn't meant to be abandoned at all. And it gets even more crazy as we move along. Oh my goodness. I do not think y'all are ready for today's episode.
I found one of the most exquisite abandoned mansions I have ever seen this year, period. And y'all are going to be the first to witness it on this channel. So, on this episode, I'm going to tell you the story of why this place became abandoned, show you from top to bottom, and with that being said, let's get started and explore. Here we go. Now, before I take you inside, I'm going to show you this extraordinary mansion from the outside first. But here's part of the story on why it became abandoned.
This property sits on 44 acres here in Texas with more than 14,000 square ft of living space. It was originally owned by a family that was tied to a vineyard, and this estate was built to reflect that life. Private, oversized, and made for luxury, featuring indoor and outdoor pools, an elevator, a basketball court. It even has multiple private lakes on the property. But sometime in the 2010s, the story changed. The mansion was sold and repurposed into a rehab facility. And even now, you can still see traces of the transformation throughout the house. Rooms feel out of place. Certain spaces no longer make sense. It's as if this mansion lived completely two different lives. Then in 2020, it was listed for sale, but no one ever came back. And ever since, this entire mega mansion has been left to sit here, empty, slowly falling apart. Well, today we're going inside to see exactly what's left and what remains. But here's the thing. I still don't know what happened to the original owner and where they are today. Let's look for clues.
Look what's right behind me. Y'all, this is one of the best abandoned mansions that I have ever seen this year in 2026. This is absolutely gorgeous. I'm going to show you from top to bottom what this place is all about. But before I bring y'all on the inside, please let me show you the outside first because these people have a lot of amenities left behind that you need to see. Including and starting off with this beautiful tennis court. Oh, this place does not quit, y'all. It does not quit. Oh my goodness. And today I'm with Herbex Giat. All right. So, I promise I'm going to show you the inside, but first, let's check out the outside. And oh my lord, this is insane. Oh, and I love the look at the vegetation. This is legit abandoned. But why? Y'all, I'm going to try to figure out that story and just tell you in a minute. But let's kind of admire the outside first cuz this is just very, very astonishing. Oh my goodness. What the world? Oh my goodness. This is beautiful, y'all. I just noticed something. This is a little bit perplexing to me. All right, so here we have the outdoor pool. You follow me? But right here we have the oddest looking staircase right here. And it goes up to the second story balcony. Why? This doesn't make any sense, nor is it even safe. And look, it even comes with like a little patio set, too. I'm thinking this is where you put your little dining set. You have a TV right there. Little fireplace. You got it made here. This is amazing. Oh my goodness. It looks like a resort. It don't even look like a mansion. It just looks like a hotel resort. This property even has a shed and I believe a guest house, too. I don't know what's up with that, though. Might want to leave that alone. I don't know. Oh, that's kind of what's in the shed. They have multiple sheds out here, actually. And that's the pool house. Nothing too much going on there. You know what? Let's check it out. Let's see. See what we got here. You know, I'm telling you, this is probably one of the more exquisite abandoned mansions I have ever seen this year yet. And I can't believe these people have left everything behind. I don't know the full story yet, but I'll kind of tell you throughout the episode cuz I think I'm going to do some research on this place, see who owned it. It might have been a doctor, might have been a cartel agent. I don't know. But this, y'all, it really does take your breath away when you come in here. Let's start the tour right now. Here we go.
All right. I told you this doesn't disappoint. So, when you walk in, right behind me is the door, the main door. So, when you come in, this is one of the first things you see. And then your eyeballs scroll up. Oh my god, the chandeliers are amazing. I'm going to take a little peek over here to the left. And I'm going to take a little peek over here to the right. So what we got going so far? Tell you what, we go straight, go left, or we can go right. Where do y'all want me to go for? I'm usually going right cuz I'm right-handed. But on this episode, let's take a left. However, this is one of the first things we see as we walk in. This is like an eye catcher here. This beautiful armoire. Nothing in here. You probably put your clothes in there. TV sets. And remember, we got the grand staircase, too. But let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Check this out. As we take a left, part of the grand dining room right here. This is gorgeous. This is so gorgeous. Oh, wait. I hear my team members upstairs. Hey, y'all. There is an elevator here. >> I see it. >> Yeah. Beautiful drapery, too. This reminds me something at the Myrtles Plantation in New Orleans. It's like a haunted plantation. And I remember the room that we stayed in kind of had these curtains in it. Very uh luxurious. Almost has an Indian traditional touch to it. Gates on the window. Never seen this before. What the hell? Wow. Okay, I'm getting carried away here. We got to stick to the left hand side. Here we go. Let's see. Let's Let's Let's see. Let's test the chairs out. I mean, yeah, you could definitely go to sleep in something like this. This is actually even more comfortable than my mattress at home. This tells me I need a new mattress. And here's all the light switches and stuff. I'm not going to touch any of this. That looks like the alarm system. What else we have here? We have intercoms here, too. Wow. That's when you know you got a lot of money. And remember, not only do we have everything else to check out in this mansion, the right, the upstairs, and the lefthand side. Yet, remember, we have an outdoor pool, which I'll kind of show you a glimpse of right now, but we're going to go outside and explore it later. I wonder why there's an exit sign on the ground. I don't know if they use this for anything else besides the house or not. Hold on. Because I really want to show y'all from head to toe with this. We have a little dining table right here. This must be the kitchen area and li Yep. Kitchen area and living room. We even had the little dish bowl sinks right there. You can see this mansion is uh kind of in a little disrepair. Seems like they might have been gutting it or maybe working on it mid- project and they just gave up. And this is when you know something is really exquisite. When you see a lion's head right above the fireplace like this, it's all stone right there. And the rest of it is, too. Look. Here we go. And I just noticed something. That doesn't really look like a wood burning fireplace. I don't know what Wait, this might have been propane. Let me see. Hold on. Do we have a chimney stack up here? No. What the hell is that? This looks like a fire hazard waiting to happen. I don't know. But I'm telling y'all, like I think with a little love, care, a little TLC with this mansion, you could probably move in here in about 3 months and it would be ready. I don't think there's much work to be needed. All we got to do is just here drain the pool there, maybe spruce the place up a little bit, you know, clean it up, and you're kind of good to go. Doesn't really smell like mold or mildew or anything. So, yeah. All right. Wow. I think the ceilings are probably around that's probably like 10 feet right there. I want to say probably around maybe 22 feet tall ceilings perhaps. Maybe 25. This is pretty large and intense. Doesn't come across that way on camera, but look, let me back up and maybe y'all can kind of measure it with your eyeballs because that little ledge up there, right where the kitchen meets the little banister right there, probably about 10 ft. And then you got another 12 ft above that. Yeah, absolutely. All right, let's keep trucking along and see what we got. Oh, we do have a kitchen island, too. And look, you can tell this place has been sitting for quite some time. Got some cobwebs. Oh, wait. Hold on. The zinc still work? Do we have water? Nothing. Oh, they cut this off a long time ago. No lights. No, they cut everything. You see? Cut that off real quick. Nothing in the cabinets. The only thing I'm a little disappointed about with this one, there's nothing left behind. However, it's just really cool to look at. Check this out. Just found an elevator. I'm not going in here, but let me see. Yeah, I just don't trust it. I wonder if you get stuck in here, like what would happen? Like, how do you You know what I mean? What would happen to you? I have no idea. Let's go in the back here. Here we go. You know you're rich when you have a Viking professional refrigerator. Look how massive this thing is. It's like the size of two Samsung refrigerators stuck together. That's kind of what you got. Wow. And you want to know something weird? Still kind of chilled in there. It's kind of cold. Wait a minute. I'm a little confused here. Okay, this is one of the washrooms. The heck's going on outside? Nothing. It's kind of chill day, I guess. I'm a little confused. We got to go back by the elevators. Cuz that was a little weird. Hold on. Let's see something. It It looked like it went into like another room. Like look at this. Like what is behind here? Oh, what the hell? It's like a secret door. Like what is that behind here? It's like blocked off, but you can clearly like open this and go back there. What is that? It's like a secret part of the house. I'm going to check that out later cuz I'm kind of intrigued. All right, then we're going to finish up back here. Not too much happening. I think that's part of the backyard still. I think. Yeah, that is. That is. And remember, we got a pool house, too. Got to show you that as well. Seems like this mansion has everything, huh? Does this work? Intercom, nothing. We even have the beautiful crown molding right here, too. Wow, that's insane. Check it out in the kitchen. I don't know if y'all saw this yet cuz I did and I had to come back in here to get it. Look at this claw legs on the cabinetry. When's the last time you seen that one? All right, let's open and close these because I'm obsessed with soft closed drawers and I don't think this has it. Let me see. Nope, it does not have soft clothes. I'm surprised rich people usually have that. Oh, look what I just found. Poor little guy. Little dead bird probably flew his way on in here and couldn't find his way out, unfortunately. That sucks, man. I wish I could save animals that are in need of help, but I mean, there's so many that need help, but that's just kind of what nature does. You know what I mean? So, can't do nothing about it. All right, one last look at the left side of this house before we keep moving on. Got it.
All right, coming back into where we first started because I want to go on the right hand side. Wait a minute. What is this penal code? Oh. What the hell? They don't want you to enter this property with a handgun. Huh, that's weird. Never seen a sound like that before. So, it doesn't want you to trespass with um a gun. All right. If y'all ever want to explore, never explore with any weapons or any handguns. Uh, I mean, if you want to be safe, explore with like little things like this, like mace, if y'all want to know what this is on my wrist. It's just some saber mace. That's all I got. I got it from a sporting goods store. Um, it's completely legal because it's self-defense. But don't explore with any weapons. That could be a bad thing. And don't carry any tools on you either because that will be breaking the entering. We don't want that. I just noticed something. We already discovered one part of this house with a dining room. Actually, two dining rooms. Check this out. We actually have a third right here. And it kind of overlooks the pool area. And I notice we also have multiple living rooms, too. Sorry if y'all keep hearing the uh fire alarm in the background. That little chirp sound. But it's understandable. I don't think anybody has lived here for quite some time. All right. So, remember we came in through that door. We checked out the whole left area side of this house. And now coming in here. I don't know what this room Oh, Christmas decor. We have a safe in here. I wonder if it opens. Probably does not. Yeah, I never have any luck with safes. Yeah, screw it. Oh, I love this. It says put a cork in it. Hey, is there any wine in here? This looks like a good Christmas gift. And it's only worth five bucks. Little good stocking stuffer, you know. Check that out. We even have a lake out in the front yard, too. Y'all see this? This is the front yard. That's the driveway right there. Comes all the way out from the main road. Then it stops right here. It's like a little circle, like a little circular driveway here. Look at that. All right, I'm kind of searching for things that are left behind, but there's just nothing left behind here. Like at all that's like of personal interest. I mean, you know what I mean? We don't have any We don't have any personal items, no pictures, no tax forms, no nothing like that that we can look through. Maybe get some clues like who these people were. I might just have to look it up at a library or something. And there's no power either at all. So remember, we're on the uh we're on the right side of the house. Huh? I don't know what that is. This must be like the master bedroom or something. Yeah, this had to be the master bedroom. And look, it it connects right here through the side. Master bath. Let's go check it out. Oh, that looks horrible. Check that out. This is definitely getting ravaged by nature. Wait a minute. This is not only a bathroom, a vanity, but it's also a closet two in one. Look, y'all seeing this right now? I've never seen that before. This must be the toilet room. The bathroom. The bathroom. Bathroom. Where's the h? Wait a minute. It's got to be an office. Where's the hell the toilet? Where's the toilet? Oh, it's maybe in this room. Let's go check it out. Oh, the Oh, okay. I get it. So, you actually had two. Looks like Okay, this must have been the gentleman's closet and the other one was the lady's closet, obviously, cuz it's bigger, right? Cuz I notice ladies always have the most stuff. So, that's just how it works. Y'all want it, y'all can have it. I don't care. Y'all always got to have the biggest closets. I get it. But, I'm glad to report. Check it out. We're in the bathroom. The master bathroom. And it leads right here into the master. O. All right. Look at this. Here's a shower. Look how many nozzles are on this thing. You had 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 right. I'm not done yet. Eight. So, you got all these things just blowing out on you like that. Watch your wheat we might might sting a little bit.
All right, y'all. So, remember we checked out the right and the left hand part of this place. Let's go upstairs. Let's see what's up. Oh, this is one of my favorite features of the house, too, because check this out. The kind of curvature of the windows right here. Like a bay window looking out. Hey, your nice swimming pool. Oh, and I didn't even see it before, but we have a a jacuzzi, too. Wow. All right, I'm going to take y'all back there in a minute, but we got to finish the upstairs. The American flag just dangling there. All right, how do you even get up here, though? Like to put stuff in. And why is there stuff in there anyway? Anyways, since we took a left downstairs, let's take a right. But first, we have to admire this. So cool. Now, this must have been a cigar room perhaps, I think. Or maybe like a little library setting or something. O, the hell is this? This looks like the Madonna bathroom. That's actually what it looks like. It is very 1950s, I want to say. The black and white toilet. I've never seen anything like it before. Wow, that's pretty cool. And while you're pooping, you can look outside your window all day and poop. Love the ceilings. Wow. I wonder what kind of design that is. It almost looks like a copper finish. Maybe like a tin look. I got to admire that. Wow. Okay, now I know where the elevator goes. I think it goes here. Or does it? It doesn't even work anymore. I thought it went there. Maybe it goes to another side perhaps. Look at that. Look like somebody tried to really get in here. Oh, this is the attic. Can't even move in here. Okay. I wonder what gallon this is. Y'all leave it in the comments. But like, how do you tell what gallon this is? I don't know. It looks massive though. Might be like, I don't know, 100 gallon. I don't know. Leave it in the comments. So nice. What the hell is this? What the hell is this? Oh my god. What is this room? It looks like a What is this? It could have been a game room. I don't know what the hell this was. It's very perplexing. Oh, look. That's the elevator shaft right there. That was the door I was just trying to get into, but it's locked. Wow. Nothing going on outside. Now, what do we have here? I know I keep teasing that outside, but that outside looks just just as good, if not better, than the inside. I don't know yet. There's another part to this place that we still have yet to make it inside. What the hell is even that? All right. What is Hold on. Whatever happened here? They didn't want you to go outside. I think I don't know. Does that lead into another part of the house? I have no idea. Huh. But it looked like somebody was maybe trying to scrap this place at one point and they broke the whole door frame. Like cuz look at this. This looks like it would match the door frame. Let me see. Oh yeah, it's part of it. And they just yanked it all off. But look, we have another part that's just wide open, but it's blocked. And we have another kitchen here, too. Hold on. This is very intriguing, actually. Armana refrigerator. So, not not high-tech or anything. And these are more of a cheaper refrigerator. Ooh, that's tough. Nothing in here though. What does that say on the microwave? Says plug not work. Troubleshoot. That is oddly worded for some reason. Talk. Listen. Door talk. All the power's off, though, so none of this stuff's going to work, unfortunately. Wow. Little back porch. Yeah, we could probably go out here, too. Whoa. I love this. Wow. And I love the arches, too. Looks pretty nifty actually. Yo, this is this is really one of the reasons why I like to urban explore. It's just I get away from people and like I really don't like people too much. No offense. Like my subscribers, I love y'all. Um I won't forget about y'all ever cuz y'all what built this channel, but I just don't like being around too many people at once. I get kind of like nervous and anxious. People just like make me just kind of h, you know? I rather just hang around pets like dogs and cats and whatever else, you know? Just I guess that's why I like exploring abandoned places. You get away from the normal everyday wind and grind and get away from everyday people, you know.
All right, moving right along here. Look, we have the uh drapes throughout. Wait a minute. What the hell? We have a ladder that goes down from the balcony down there, but like why would you even have that? Can't you just take the stairs? Look at this. That's This is the left hand side of the house. But upstairs, watch this. So, you open this is a little gate right here. You open this and kind of just slide on down those steps. But why do you have like you This must be some kind of emergency exit only. You know what I mean? Oh, it's so gorgeous. I love that. Looks like we have a massive barn outside, too. Couple of big structures out here, huh? All right, you want to know something real quick? I'm jumping ahead of myself. However, I want to show you all this. Look at the beautiful hallway. I just felt like I had to point that out. So gorgeous. All right. Obviously, these people had kids and they probably had a ton of them because you got a queen here, queen here, queen, queen. What else do we have? This is their bathroom. Oh, I like the quirky tile work. Got to love that. Hey everybody, what's going on? It's me, Ranger Rick. Give me a like. Oh, we have a third floor, too. Well, I'm not going to go up there yet. Whoa. What is that? Look at the carpet. It's like shag in here. Whoa. How many people did these kids have? We have a queen right here. And this is not a full size. This is a queen. Queen here. Queen here. They look like they might have had 10 kids living here at one point. And of course, this cool looking bathroom, too. Damn, that's pretty snazzy. Whoa. Definitely has seen better days. I would probably say give this mansion probably about another five years and it won't be here no more. Just from like mother nature and time. You know what I mean? What's going on outside? Yeah. Oh, we have a desk. That's pretty cool. Attention to detail. Check out these cobalt blue knobs. Y'all see that? Let me turn on my light so y'all can see that. Yeah, it's kind of got a little here. Right there. I love that. I remember growing up back when I was a kid, one of my favorite friends, her name was Audra. And uh she always liked cobalt blue things. Any cobalt blue glass, anything. Forks, knives, you name it. She had cobalt blue everything. Cobalt blue curtains, vases, everything. All right, what do we have here? Another walk-in closet. Massive. Here's one of the alarm boxes right here. And it looks like they started cutting the wires or something. I just want to talk about this carpet and how bouncy it is right now. It feels kind of like you're walking on like a tempropedic mattress or something. That's how squishy but yet bouncy this is. And it fits this room perfectly cuz it's made for kids. Look. Doesn't come across on camera, but I'm literally bouncing like a trampoline right now in this room. So if they fall down, they're covered. We got a third floor. Bubs. What is bubs? Huh? Oh my goodness. You have got to be kidding me. More queen bunk beds. Okay, these people probably had like 15 kids. Like, I'm not even kidding you. Jeez. Wow. They had a lake here. They had a pond, tennis court. I mean, these people got everything. This looks busted. But it see Oh, yeah. It does open. Oh, this is where the people underneath the stairs live. Oh. Ah, we got a movie theater here. How nifty and cool is this with a curio cabinet, too, I guess, to put all their electronics in. Whoa. Got the silver screen right here. Actually, this feels like a wall. This don't even feel like Yo, this is a wall right here as a screen. So, it's not really a screen screen. Wish me luck. Yo, what is up here? Oh, this is the attic. I think part of it. Nothing happening, but it looks like it goes all the way around the house. That is a huge air conditioning unit. Good lord. It's like an octopus in there. Feels good in here. Got the door wide. Whoa. I was going to say you got the door wide open. Holy moly. Well, this is the gym. Oh, that is badass. And a beautiful mural right here. Got to love it. I wonder what that is from. It looks like something out of Italy. And like you're standing in the side of a villa patio or something, I guess. Yeah, it looks like the hillsides of Italy. Very beautiful artwork here. Looks like some thieves tried to get in this place. What's going on here? Oh. Oh, yeah. It keeps on going. Like back there. I'm not going to go back there because it's just attic stuff. But some people want to see this on my channel, some do not. But this is about as far as I'm going to go. I don't want to fall through the ceiling or anything. Looks pretty safe though to walk through. Honestly, what I am curious about is see that right there. Let me see if I could zoom in real quick. See that right there? There's a bus over there with a barn. And it's part of this property, too. Maybe we could check it out. Maybe. But we got the treadmill machines left behind. The ellipticals. We got everything here, y'all. This is pretty cool. So, you can work out. You don't even have to leave your house. You can do everything inside your house. And check this out, y'all. The elliptical machine actually turns on. How does it work? Like the machine, look, I'm going to show youall in just a minute. But like as you're moving along, it just comes on by itself. Must be like I think it has like a a battery pack inside of it still. Check this out. Yeah, cuz look at this. See, as soon as you start pedaling, it comes on, but it's not plugged in. Huh.
All right, let's go check out this little patio. This little back porch patio because believe it or not, this is the back side of the mansion. Although kind of looks cooler than the front in my opinion. And we got to watch out for the still water. So this pool goes up to 5T five. That's 3 foot 6 in right there. What the hell is in my shoe? Ow. Whatever it is, it hurts. Whoa, this is gnarly. God, y'all, this is one of the many reasons why I love to Herbex, just because of this, you know? It's like it's so fun out here just just living life, you know? It's just and y'all allow me to do that, which I thank y'all. I'm never forgetting where I came from. And I want to thank each and every one of y'all for building this channel to what it is. I mean, y'all basically laid the foundation for me. You know what I mean? And y'all sticking with me through thin and thin. And for that reason, I thank you. I thank you very much. So, for sure, because this is amazing. We even have a outdoor patio set right here. We have a Lion premium grill. Oh, this is just amaz Oh, they got a hornets nest in there. No, thank you. Outdoor kitchen. Let's see if the water works in here. No, water does not work. See what we got here. It's open. Nothing going on though. Let's see. We have an attic area. Nothing going on. Nothing going on up there. Whoa. What the heck? Wait a minute. There's multiple pools here. So, we have an indoor and an outdoor one, y'all. I was totally about to skip this. What the heck? I thought just I thought this was just a pool house like where you fix dinner and like lunch and hot dogs and pork and beans, but no, we actually have a whole other jacuzzi in here. So, we actually have two jacuzzi's and a pool room here. Two pools. Whoa, that's a lot of still water. Goodness gracious. I'm starting to smell some stuff now. Like the still water has been sitting like way too long and I think I just disrupted the still water and it stinks now. I didn't smell that smell before. Oh, that's so nasty. That's nasty. Very nasty. Oh, it smells like poop. Jacuzzi, too. Look at that. Warning. No lifeguard on duty. Children should not use pool without adult supervision. Gotcha. And one thing I forgot to show y'all is this little area back here. We actually have a basketball court. Check this out. A whole freaking basketball court back here. How cool is this? This is something you really don't see every day. Check it out, y'all. What's right behind me? We even have a basketball court, too. You come in from right there. Your little back porch patio. Come right here. There it is. All right, so we're leaving the pool house. Let's go take a trip up here. This looks very intriguing and promising at the same time. Let's see what we got. What the hell is that? Oh, cool. Hello The hell is this? Oh, this is like a little mini bar up here or something. Oh, this is cool. Yo, what the heck? Just a bunch of magazines and stuff. Whoa. Whoa. That's what that is. Hello. The heck is even this? Oh my god. Yo, this is cool. This is mad cool. Oh, this is like a little saté. You can sit right here as a bench and you look out the window. Oh my god, that's another bar. Oh my god. And the furniture here is so exquisite. You know, this is like solid wood here. Oh my god. Does the water work in here, though? Man, I tell you, life must have been so good for these people just living out here. I mean, just look what's right behind me. It's like a lifetime of greatness. Jeez. And you come out on your back patio and just kind of soak up the sun. It's so cool. So good. And this is probably my favorite part of the backyard, too. Actually, probably my favorite part of the house right here of what's standing right behind me. Just all of that. I'm going to try to zoom in with this camera. I'm using a different camera today. Actually, it's a little bit easier to work. You see those up there? Those are little bird's nests. It look like the maybe little sparrows or something probably built those nest like that and that's what we're kind of left with. Yeah. Look, you can see they're flying in the holes. Look.
The year now is 2026 and the mansion still sits to decay, ravaged by time. I still never figured out what happened to the original owner of the property and why they decided to sell to a rehab center. One thing we didn't get to explore was the guest house and the sheds on the property. If this video gets enough likes and demand, I'll go back and see what's inside the guest house.
