[Music] foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] hi guys in today's video i'm showing you a bunch of best-selling trade ideas that are perfect for a pop-up or vendor event this menu is sure to make a great impression on your new customers because they're easy effortless and delicious there's banana pudding cups strawberry crunch brownies cheesecake cups and four unique flavors assorted pretzels and strawberries coated with fun toppings that can be put in a variety box and berry cups you're sure to sell out because there's something fabulous here for everyone to enjoy so let's create something magical
[Music] your customers are gonna go bananas over these banana pudding cups they are the perfect combination of light and creamy without being too heavy this is a twist on the magnolia bakery's famous banana pudding i priced these slightly cheaper than my cheesecake cups which you'll want to check out the pricing breakdown in part one of my mini pop-up event start by pouring one 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk into your mixing bowl and add one and a half cups of ice water to that beating everything together with a hand mixer mix mix mix until combined and it becomes a frothy foamy mixture here comes in some multitasking gradually incorporate the instant banana pudding mix by shaking in a little at a time and mixing continuing the process until the whole box of pudding is mixed in
[Music] that's a lot of pudding to thicken the mixture i keep the beaters in one area for a few seconds and make slow movements so the pudding comes together it should be slightly thickened and smooth when it's ready now it's all set to go in the fridge overnight while the banana pudding mixture is chilling in there i'm going to show you how to make a base recipe for the crunchies both for the strawberry shortcake and banana pudding flavors the homemade method with the flour is so much more tasty than the no bake shortcut each flavor has a quarter cup of flour and one three ounce pack of jello or pudding mix depending on the flavor that you want to make one bowl has strawberry jello another has vanilla pudding and the banana cream flavor for the banana pudding cups then plop in half a stick of butter into each flavor and mash the butter into the flour the jello is more sticky than the pudding so just work it the best you can and bury the butter with all the powder to make it easier mashing the butter in with the flour will achieve that crumbly buttery texture similar to cobbler crumbs you just won't get that same result with the no bake method
[Music] onto a parchment-lined baking tray pile all the crumbs i like to put the vanilla and strawberry together on one tray since we're mixing them together anyway and flatten them both into an even layer it doesn't have to be perfectly smooth as long as it's evenly spread out i did the same with the banana crumbs on its own separate tray pop them into bake for seven minutes at 350 degrees these will smell absolutely amazing in the oven
[Music] it is key to allow the crust to harden for at least three hours or overnight and it's time to crumble them up they'll be way too soft if you don't wait for at least that three hours just peel them away from the parchment paper like a fruit roll up and break them up into little strips to fit right into your food processor the ninja express chopper is my go-to for this i combined the vanilla and strawberry crunch together for our strawberry shortcake feel free to pulse half at a time if the whole portion doesn't fit that's even better than the good humor bars for extra crunch i finish it off with some chopped golden oreos throw them right in there there's no need to remove the cream usually the no bake version of crunchies just as plain old golden oreos with butter and jello powder but your customers will rave about these homemade crumbs and come back for more cheesecake cups berries and brownies for our banana crunchies i'm mixing in lorna dunes shortbread cookies with the banana pudding crumbs the lorna dunes have a buttery flavor while adding more crunch for the perfect balance without being too overpowering or artificial with straight-up banana
[Music] while we're chopping away let's post up some nilla wafers to layer in the banana pudding cups and the last step to finish off the pudding is to take a chilled bowl that's been kept in the freezer and pour in three and a half cups of heavy cream to make homemade whipped cream guys there's nothing like homemade whipped cream beat that together continuously on high speed until stiff peaks form it should take about three minutes it's like an arm workout so just put a little muscle into it once you see those stiff peaks it's time to add one teaspoon of vanilla extract i prefer to use clear so that it doesn't stain the pretty white color of the cream go ahead and fold the banana pudding mixture into the whipped cream i fold in about a third of it at a time to fully incorporate all that yumminess look how light and airy that is just like a clap after folding them together take another pack of instant banana pudding mix and mix in five tablespoons to thicken the pudding and finish it off with a hint of banana flavor i slice my bananas right before layering the cups so that they don't turn brown you can prevent some of that browning by squeezing on some lemon juice but i'm personally not a fan of the taste approximately one small banana fits into each cup but it's all about your preference first i drop in a few spoonfuls of vanilla wafers then swirl a generous pile of banana pudding using a 1m decorating tip place a ring of bananas all around and top with another layer of the pudding with some banana crunchies on top finishing with a big swirl that is slightly popping out of the cup and garnished with a nilla wafer and extra sprinkling of crunchies to make the cups look even i like to stick to three layers of toppings and three layers of cream
another unique and yummy treat are these strawberry crunch brownies they won't last long on display so make plenty of them to have for your table my favorite shortcut for making these with a strawberry cake mix the best brand is duncan hines for that chewy brownie texture i find pillsbury cake mix is slightly softer so stick to duncan hines for these brownies to one box of cake mix drop in a quarter cup of vegetable oil a half a cup of melted butter and two whole eggs you will notice this batter is a lot thicker and more similar to a cookie dough than a cake batter so when it's mostly mixed my tip to prevent over mixing which can make the brownies too tough is to flip through it with a rubber spatula and scrape the sides then finish up the rest with your mixer until well combined
[Music] it will look something like this go ahead and grab a 9x9 inch pan that's the size i recommend for a thick and chewy brownie and don't forget to spray your pan with nonstick and place the strawberry brownie powder into the pan if i could do this again the only thing i would change is to line the bottom with parchment paper although my brownies didn't stick it's always a good idea to do that once the batter is spread evenly throughout the pan off they go into the oven for 20 minutes at 325 degrees keep an eye on them so that they don't brown or over bake and test with the toothpick test to check that the toothpick comes out clean now while they're cooling down let's whip up our cream cheese frosting to go on top it complements the strawberry perfectly without being too sweet first we're going to cream together 8 ounces of softened cream cheese with half a stick of room temperature butter having these ingredients softened will allow them to cream like a dream one that's light and fluffy drop in three quarters a cup of powdered sugar and one teaspoon of vanilla extract again i'm using the clear vanilla just like we did for the whipped cream to keep the frosting from getting discolored it comes together into the most amazing and easy to spread frosting pile a few generous spoonfuls onto the strawberry brownies and spread with either a spatula or knife it's so easy to spread i smooth over the top of the surface without touching the brownie part to avoid picking up crumbs and cover around the corners for a clean finished look
[Music] the fun part is topping with our strawberry shirt cake crunchies it sticks to the frosting pretty well but what i do is sprinkle them on in sections you can add as much or as little as you want then gently press to help the crunchy stick and pack the pile into a compact layer these hold up really well for outdoor events but before slicing into squares chill your brownies overnight so they are easier to cut into firm squares after chilling overnight slice them up and get ready to sell out of this item
the next treat we are making are the cheesecake cups made with a firm no-bake cheesecake filling recipe that holds its shape perfectly for piping and it's so simple to put together all you'll need are these four ingredients drop in two eight ounce packages of stuffing cream cheese into your bowl combined with half a cup of powdered sugar and one pack of jello no baked cheesecake mix just make sure it's a package label for the filling and not the crumbs you won't be needing that and last is one and two thirds a cup of heavy cream just give that a good mix and you have the quickest easiest and creamiest cheesecake filling that is so versatile and can be turned into a variety of different flavors if you aren't able to assemble your cheesecake cups right away store the filling in the fridge until you're ready to use it then let it sit on the counter for about 30 minutes and re-rip it so that it's not too stiff to pipe out of the bag for the strawberry shortcake alternate with a layer of crunchies followed by a generous swirl of filling and freshly chopped strawberries i assemble the cups the night before or morning of the event so the toppings don't get soggy and store them in the fridge for as long as you can before setting up at the destination at that point you could store in some coolers or the ice table which i show in my other video finish off with a few more layers of crunchies and cheesecake with a berry on top
[Music] another fan favorite is cookies and cream crush up the oreos in the food processor i leave them on the coarser side for the cheesecake cups to add more crunch but always finer and smaller when coating strawberries so that they are able to stick on the same as before i do three layers of cookies and three layers of cheesecake finish it off with a sprinkle and one full sized oreo just be careful not to squeeze your cup when closing the lid to keep the layers neat and intact if you want to make a snickers cheesecake cup i mentioned in my other video that you should charge more since the candy bars are more pricey a good trick to prevent them from melting in the food processor is to crush the snickers with some chips away and mix that with peanuts i ran out of cheesecake filling for the snickers flavored cheesecake cups so instead i made a sneaky flavored berry with a caramel drizzle which i will show you a little later on in this video you can put that caramel in the snickers cheesecake cups if you want but for now let's hang out with our friend cookie monster i layered crushed chips ahoy on the bottom and alternated with cheesecake filling that has been colored with blue gel food coloring try to avoid adding too much color or it can deflate your cheesecake filling i brought cookie monster to life with some mini sugar eyeballs and a mini cookie sticking out of his mouth
the last fantastic flavor is a frosted animal cheesecake cup i store the package in the fridge so they don't get melty in the bag and i start chopping the frosted animals into chunks to create the pretty pink and white pattern and it's completely optional to color your cheesecake with pink food coloring i like to make the colors stand out to the customers you can't have your cheesecake cups looking all the same so be creative and switch them up add a layer of frosted animals and a layer of filling then run the ring of the circus with some whole and crushed frosted animals there's plenty of elephants camels and rhinos in there
another item you can't go wrong with are colorful berry cups i fit about 6 small to medium-sized berries in a 12 ounce clear cup and to dress up your packaging with a personal small business touch stick on some custom stickers with your logo to the front of the cup i showed a brief tutorial on diy sticker labels in my other video or you can order them from etsy and arrange all the berries inside berry cups always put any smaller leftover strawberries you have on hand to good use i love having some brighter colors like the tiffany blue and pink and classic like white and milk chocolate with a simple dip and drizzle we're finished with all the treats on the risers as for what's inside the clear bakery case i put the strawberry crunch brownies in there along with an assortment of pretzels and strawberries coated with a variety of toppings aka what you may also put in a variety box i'll be sure to link the clear case down below i have all the crushed toppings from before minus the frosted animals except this time you'll want to crush them up into even finer crumbs so that they stick nicely onto your berries gently pat as you rotate immediately after dipping your berry and shovel generous sprinkles on the remaining areas that need to be covered this with the chips avoid topping dipped in milk chocolate and the next one is the snickers which is the most challenging to coat since it's more chunky it's important to work quickly before the chocolate sets this caffeine coats best with the spoon i also added a delicious caramel drizzle this recipe was from shell sweets it's titled caramel sauce on her caramel drip cake recipe since we aren't using this for the drips you have the most controlled drizzliness when the consistency is a little thicker and less runny so i let the caramel cool down before drizzling just practice and get comfortable before you start here i'm also drizzling the caramel on a snickers pretzel with the whole my bag cut very tiny her recipe was so amazing it will be linked in the description box fruity pebbles are another popular option i prefer to crush them with a mallet so that it doesn't turn into a rainbow sand in the food processor and you still see some of the bigger pieces all these toppings go great with cheesecake filling inside the berries but i definitely don't recommend that for a pop-up event since the cheesecake can fall off the top so save that for individual orders instead i will be posting a tutorial on cheesecake stuff very soon if you want to see that the strawberry shirt cake and oreo crumbs are the easiest to apply since they are finer crumbs my tips are to dip your berries into a medium consistency chocolate not too loose and not too thick for the best application if it's too runny the toppings can drip off and too thick it's more difficult to coat and adds a more bulky look
the last thing i like to do for my table is make samples of my cheesecake cups and banana pudding so that the customers can try out any flavors they like i pipe the samples into these mini salad dressing containers i hope you guys enjoyed seeing all these pop-up event recipes and it gave you some inspiration for your small business like this video if it did and comment down below which treat was your favorite be sure to check out part one for pricing and all the essentials you need for a successful setup is christina here thank you so much for watching and i'll see you in the next video
