not all boomers. but too many. and now their daughters are done whispering.

I'm sure you've seen it by now, but the boomer women are mad at me. They said, "We fought for your rights. You should be grateful."

But I wasn't raised by Gloria Steinem. I was raised by silence. I was raised by women who were told to marry young and stay loyal no matter what. I was raised by fathers who were never taught how to love softly, only to provide and punish. I was raised in homes where love looked like fear.

And now when we want to speak up, you say, "Not all boomers." Well, guess what? Not all doesn't mean none. And silence was your generation's currency. I'm not here to erase what you did. I'm here to name what you've passed down.

And while you fought for progress, you also taught us how to endure pain quietly. You taught us to be strong, not to be human. You taught us to stay, settle, and shut up. And now that we're speaking up, you're uncomfortable. So were we for decades.

These men ain't. And it's not just because of who they are. It's because of who they were raised by and what was never questioned.
