isible with liberty and justice for all.

Secretary, you want to run the attendance, please?

Attendance.

Commissioner Plumbley. Here.

Commissioner Lawler. Here.

Commissioner Co. Here.

Commissioner Hall. Here.

Commissioner Douglas.

Commissioner Mitchell. Here.

All right, we've got a quorum. I understand we may have some uh amendments to the uh agenda.

Yeah, I'll I'll tell you what I've been told. For one, we have Fern Anderson who's going to be speaking to the commission will put him number one on new business.

And Tabby, you wanted to discuss the timing of recruiting financials along with the other things under there.

And then the other new addition was discuss dedicating a flag pole. Is that all that we needed to add?

I think so.

Well, we No, we have to add approving.

Oh, the grant the check.

Yeah, which I think we've can't remember if we voted on that already. And this is this. Okay.

Chili cook off funding request. I'll put that.

All right. All right. I'll take a motion to approve the agenda with the amendments to it.

I'll I'll move we approve the agenda as amended.

I second it.

All in favor?

I.

All against.

All right. The agenda has been approved with the amendments. Okay. Approval for the FE February 16th regular meetings minutes. I read through them. I didn't see any problems with them.

I didn't either. I make a motion to approve it unless someone else has got a comment about it.

Anybody got any comments?

All right. Got a motion.

Wait, we need somebody to second being motioned.

Sharon seconded.

Voice on vote.

Voice. All right, let's do a roll call.

Voice move vote.

You want to do roll call or voice?

We'll do a voice. All in favor?

I.

I.

I.

All opposed.

All righty. It's passed. Financial reports. Miss Tabby, we're going to discuss the January payment processing fees.

Yes, I know that they were high. Sorry, guys. I'm sure.

Okay. I know the January payment processing fees were really high. I do want to say that of the payments that were collected for January. Almost 5,000 of that was for 2025, not including December 2025. So, it is it's payments that were due from us for March to November of 2025. So, that is I had a lot of large payments, people who hadn't filed all year that I've been trying to get a hold of and they finally decided to pay. And February is going to be the same of February. Only 15 um excuse me, only 130 of that approximately was for actually January 2026. The other 1580 was for 2025 stuff that was passed due. So, um, that is why it was so high.

So, we only put in the budget for $450.

Correct. Because I wasn't anticipating somebody to pay at one point it was 3,000 I believe. Like one payment was for almost $3,000 and I was I

So, so we'll have to do some kind of budget adjustment.

I did in the budget that I gave you guys, I did include that adjustment to um reflect. Yeah, to reflect it. I had increased the payment processing fees to 1,500.

Just in cuz I do have two more people that have not filed or paid for all of 2025. They've only paid for a couple months of 2025 so far, but they are actively working on it.

Of that, I would like to report that I only have one person who has not gotten a hold of me.

Really?

So, yes, I only have one person who has not gotten a hold of me and is not trying to work anything out.

That's great.

That is fantastic. Yeah.

And I just before we move on, then I think we need a uh roll call vote to amend the budget.

Okay.

We amend the budget as shown by county.

I need a second on the motion.

52 5253.

I'll second.

All right. Need a roll call vote on this, please, ma'am.

Roll call.

Cle? Yes. Yes. Yes. Uh, yes. Mitchell? Yes.

All right, that passes.

Okay.

No, Terry. Yeah, you wanted to talk about.

I do want to talk about it. So, I know I've given you guys everybody I've given, excuse me, I've given everybody February's financials, and I know I was late getting them, and I want to talk about the approval for these minutes in particular, or um this Thank you. these financials in particular because they were so late. Um, I don't really feel comfortable with you guys approving them today. I would really rather you approve them next meeting. Okay. Um, I also would like to talk about that if this happens again, moving up to the next meeting where my notice date falls on the same day that I have to give you guys financials. That's really hard to do, especially because I had almost 20 notices that I had to prepare, 20 accounts I had to audit, things that I was not I was not anticipating all of that. That was a lot.

Sure.

So, um, I I really don't want you guys to approve these yet. I am not offended at all that okay you don't do that. You guys have the time to look at these appropriately.

Sure.

Um

I guess I'm okay with that. My only issue is that I'm I need to give financials to the city.

That's right.

Any of tomorrow is their meeting.

And so I will I will let them know that we did not approve February financials.

Okay. And see if they're okay with being a month in a rear giving information to them.

I will say that this timing was just it appears go looking forward in the year. This appears it only going to happen one more time where our meeting day fall like the due date for the financials falls on the same day or right around the time of my notices time. So I think this one was so heavy because it was so heavy of getting out everybody's past due the people that I'm working with.

So next month you think.

Next month will be fine because.

We can approve February and March.

Yes.

Next month.

Because next month I don't I do notices on the 9th mail them out on the 10th.

Okay.

I want to give you the financials by the 13th at the latest and then our meetings on the 20th.

Okay. That that will work. Then just in the future then you would let me know.

Yes.

When you're having this timing conflict and we will put it on the agenda as such.

Yeah. Okay. Now, what about if we have a special or a workshop meeting? Are we able to approve it at that point? And that's before.

Workshops. No workshop. Just only regular meetings or special meetings.

We would have to call a special meeting.

Yeah. Okay. Yeah.

Thought we might not two birds with one stone, but yeah. Never let out.

All righty. Hold off.

We're going to table this till the next meeting.

Financials.

Yes.

All right.

All righty. On to old business. We don't have any new business.

We're going to call Mr. Vernon Anderson up. I don't know.

Oh god.

I uh I represented part of the team of uh Hypro for eight years. We took the business of of promoting and building on advertising Holiday Island at the worst time possible. At the end of the housing recession, we had more than 150 homes for sale. Most of them are staying for three to six months at the at the earliest to get them sold. And a lot of them turned into rentals because which is not so bad, right?

Rentals because the the real estate people came in and picked them up.

Yeah. So anyhow, we uh we did that job and so we got some money from the state of ar state of Arkansas from heist and most of our money came from volunteers that joined our group per se as a membership and gave us 50 to $25 to $50 a year to uh to help us fund it. And uh so that that part kept us going. We were getting about 35,000 uh and I think the was paying 100% of fun on a monthly basis at the end here. But uh it appears that they didn't give any state funding as far as I know other than maybe they bought a half a page ad.

Right. Yeah, when we took over this thing,

Holiday Island was not even on an Arkansas Travel Guide map,

not listed anywhere in that place.

So, uh it took a took two years to get us on the map once we came in to uh participate in that. And it's a shame we maybe losing it from being on the map. Although I think they'll take us off now, but we're not in there in public. We uh

well, we got to travel. We got the guide coming out this month. We're in

the trap guide.

Uhhuh.

Yeah. Do you know if they put a full page ad?

Yeah, we did a awesome ad. As a matter of fact, like a premium spot, so we kind of went big on it.

Well, that's that's good. I think I think it's helpful. As a

matter of fact, it comes out the 20th.

We hypro paid $1,500 three or four times. I don't remember exactly. And then we got some for free from the state of Arkansas. and we would buy 700 leads for $1,400 or 750 leads for $1,500.

So, we have a list that we gave to Chamber and Morizon of 7,500 people who had taken time to look at the Arkansas Travel Guide, said, "We're interested in the state of Arkansas." And then they had also gone through and picked up the special ads that they were putting on there and said, "Oh, we'd also like to know Holiday Island." And so we had 7 27 7,000 people who have said, "I'm interested in Arkansas and holiday. I don't know how you can get a better lead." And we got their name and address and their email. I said phone in my little flight up somewhere, but we didn't get the phone numbers, but we didn't any emails. And so we would send nice little flyers into them, uh, you know, kind of leading them an idea of what what was here at Holiday Island. and welcome them and thanking them and telling them some of the things that we could do and even offering to be guides uh to them when they came. And we did some of that, but uh there was about 700 at the end that did not ever get anything from us because we turned over the handles to the chamber and you guys

officially for I guess.

And uh it was not picked up.

Right. And so you have 7,500 leads.

Right there available for you to to do something like send something out nice about Holiday Island. Right.

Be sure and note that you're halfway between uh Crystal Bridges and Silver Dollar City.

Sure.

Your perfect location for those two different locations. You're less than an hour from each one of them in the other directions, right? So those are the kind of things that gets their attention and uh and I think there's an opportunity because again I would tend to think your pricing is considerably cheaper than what you would find at Eureka for those who want to have weddings or those who want to have big family meetings or reunions and stuff, right?

So there's an opportunity there uh for that.

So I did uh I did find this I'll give this to you all real quick. just I'll always come to you mute it later if you want to. Of the leads, uh 20% of them were from Arkansas and they were usually southern Arkansas. So it was they're wanting to go somewhere else other than where they were. Southern Arkansas, Texas 18% of them, Louisiana 9 almost 8 10%, Oklahoma 9%, Missouri 8%, Illinois 3.8. Uh anyhow in one two three four 15 states we had 71% of the of the coverages come in those 15 states but we actually have people on every state in the union and you have people from other foreign countries who have asked for data on that and I just think you're missing a golden opportunity by using that as your lead for your for your business.

Sure. Yeah. on it and that's what I'd like to see happen to them.

I think I think the disconnect if you want me to kind of help try to explain some of that. Um, you know, it was unfortunate whenever things got turned over, uh, you know, the chamber uh with Peggy and then of course Bryce uh getting the A&P going, we got it passed on the ballot. Uh shortly thereafter they uh both had left and we kind of found out about a bunch of things that were left undone miscommunication that sort of thing but it never got picked up. One of those is these leads that you speak of and we're, you know, I've tried numerous times to try to figure out how to get a hold of that information and I have had zero luck on on trying to I don't know where to gather those le where do I go gather that and I've tried to get with both of them to find out.

Yeah, I I think most of them are in the chambers computer. I think most of them got moved over into the chamber. Um, I will send you the name of the last person who worked with them and they can they may probably still have all on their computer.

Yeah, there's several people I'm trying to contact for a lot of reasons. Uh, one of them is the Facebook page that apparently was denied up front the Visit Holiday Island and so we made a new page. I don't know why we didn't take that, but we did take the website visit Holiday Island. Of course, we've got that going really good now. But at any rate, um, there's a lot of information that I wish I had and if I had access to it or knew who to contact, such as this with the chamber. Um, oh, I forget who's the lady that took over that when it shut down.

Tammy.

Tammy. And I have had zero luck with any information coming from Tammy or really to know where to go get this information. I don't know. If I knew where 7,500 leads were, I would get them into our newsletter on our website and have them automatically imported and having a newsletter going that we're going to start creating uh and that sort of thing. So, if I had access to to get those, I would certainly jump on them. They've already been paid for and the data gathered to to use. So, yep. I'll get you at least the last person in Hypro that.

Okay.

And uh I said, but that was part of the Mailchimp thing. Was that.

Yeah. Yeah. Of course, you guys didn't take Mailchimp.

Yeah. I don't know why.

But there but they're the computer, not say. I mean, able to get those list. Well, I was wondering if there was a login of sorts, you know, that someone has, maybe we could get into their that account still and it's archived or something.

I'm telling you, it's a Peggy's computer or it's in Peggy's computer that it's uh, you know, as far as the chamber's concerned, you guys have a disaster there. That's not your responsibility, right? But uh for 2 months, nobody would answer the phone after chamber. And also the recording said, "Sorry, but we're full up."

Wow. Yeah.

We're full up.

Oh, it's horrible. Yeah, I I agree. problem there that somehow you guys I still think uh maybe I know that you can't use A&P money but I'm just wondering if you personally as individual business people wouldn't be in an advantage to join if they get the chamber back together here because they put ads and stuff in and their in their siblings they can also take the calls that's what happens people call Holiday Islands chamber to ask about guys and ask about other things out here.

Mhm.

Because you can't get anybody to give you crap at the heist office, you know, they just don't they're not into that business, right? Yeah. We're we've been there's talks of us creating kind of an event hub of sorts and u uh on a personal side on a doing a a marketing type an event type business. That's kind of what we're going to probably have to depend on. But we need one central area where all events are scheduled such like the chamber kind of handled that sort of thing. But we don't have a chamber. So something else has to be done. And I'm not sure if we did have a chamber that they would make the proper money to stay open to be honest with you.

Yeah. Well, they're having a lot of trouble. Sun doesn't advertise as the right next door doesn't put any money in.

They the ones that did sign up, I was told wouldn't pay their dues some of them. So it's a real, you know, problem funding wise to do that. So something else has to be done and we're trying to work on ideas for that.

Yeah.

Yeah, for sure. Well,

we have done a lot of things though um aside from all of those things and the uh where we have placed our dollars in advertising. Now, uh an AMP commission is kind of in its infancy for a good three years. Uh and getting extremely involved with the Eureka Springs AM commission and getting on the NATA uh deal as members has helped us tremendously. They're literally reaching out to uh we kind of have a seat at the table, so to speak. Well, that cost a whole bunch of money to get signed up for up front and uh but it's all on the front end, such as the new system we're now having to do on the firewall. I mean, that was a $4,500, you know, but that's it. $4,700 expense up front. Literally the dollars that we're collecting on this tax every year, it's going to be like year three before we're able to start spending a bunch of this money on advertising us. We're just getting set up. Now, I'm not making excuses whatsoever for uh some of the shortcomings that have happened. Again, though, that was the chamber and we had a couple of people leave and uh wasn't a whole lot of help afterwards.

Well, I don't.

Yeah.

I probably do not have a ton of money myself and I can't uh can't believe that perhaps somewhere mailchip wouldn't be the right way to go because you can dump out all those emails. I mean, you can go out every month and send the same emails. It's only based upon your total list, right? You pay a fee and I think you're only paying God. and we may have looked back into that or these other services that our web designer is kind of and uh the help we're getting on that for the newsletter we're creating uh to send out to. So it would be a similar type service, but definitely want to look into that once we've got the the budget to do so. Um

I didn't mean to take all your time a couple important things. I'm going to I've got a letter that tells you important to me important things that you guys have to get something figured out one way or another. And one of those is this little six- page folder. Now, this little folder uh we got it produced uh actually I said did pay for it. I had to work with the team that was produces that and I'll give the name of those that that lady that did this.

Okay, great.

And but the trouble is 479-2701393. That's your general visitor information on every one of these. And they're out they're out here right now all over the place. And the bad news there are they're also at all 11 visitor centers now. They you know everybody's going to grab up and try to call. But that's a shame that numbers out there and I wish that somebody would consider at least trying to take and put tag over that on whatever couple of hundred are left. Yeah. And maybe that what'll happen is is I'm going to start getting calls real soon wanting these folders and they'll and they'll call me back and say I need more of them. I just have a little little small envelope and I'll stick, you know, 50 of them in there and its for about a buck 50, right?

And I'd send them to them, but I won't be doing that in the future because have all the stuff.

So you guys, that's your opportunity to get your names out at the visitor center.

Mhm.

And by the way, because of one of the reason I'm talking about this guide, state of Arkansas loves them so much that they gave them this is the size we can get, right?

They gave them this size.

And so that brochure sits up there, all the visitors, guys, and they keep filling it with fun guys.

Yeah. Of course, somewhere in there we had I don't think this is the one we got, but uh somewhere in there we had a full we were putting in full page ads and they were also starting to be timing with when this shoe was going to be and when other stuff was going on.

Yeah.

So, that's a that's an opportunity. But that's a mistake. I need a number for you guys somewhere in the next month. Who's what number do you want these people to call to get these? And I guess it's better to give them the the just like it is without even the tape on it than nothing.

So the you're you're referring to the people from the visitor centers. Who who do they contact to get more of these?

I'm the only guy.

But you're asking who they contact in the future.

Give me somebody that they're going to contact. Well,

I got you.

Right now, actually, because I'm going to give you what I have.

I know there's a bunch of them at uh steal a box of them at uh Heist.

Yeah.

Partial box. So I mean I suspect there's several thousand thousand up there that should be available to take you up care until you get a chance to chalk icing into furnishing refinishing them and making somebody making that change and other changes that they want to make.

I think we'll probably have some similar things going to be happening that's you know related to that and the visitor centers and stuff but we are going to be back in there at least with that with the proper information and all the digital stuff that comes along with it, you know. So, we've got a an AM phone number, but I don't think we can list that for advertising purposes. It's strictly for a service related uh you know, situation. So, as far as a number goes, I I don't know.

But, we'd be glad to look into any of it, the information you give us. give you I mean that's uh give you what I have left and uh I will give you a letter the letters each kind of a generalized on it so I don't take any more time up and confuse the issue I do want one specific comment that I will be some Debbie said well don't be telling everybody off down there but I was at uh the swimming pool twice last year and faced the saddest, unhappiest moments I've ever had experienced here at all the island.

Oh wow.

The whole family came in dressed in swimsuits and said, "We want to swim." And they said, "Who's who's who's your sponsor?" Well, they don't they don't paid for sponsorship. And if you guys don't please those people and say you don't ever put a pool in a pool or have a picture of a swimming pool, you don't do that at all if you're not going to pay that fund. It was very sad. Sad to see the kids crying and wife.

Oh, you're talking about the the swimming permit for the owners. Are you referring to the swimming permit for the owners? Okay. So, this is through heist. This is all this has zero to do with the AM commission as far as.

I hear you, but you guys are the ones who are going to be sending people to the swimming pool.

No.

Nope, sir. We're not I don't on my site.

We don't have anything to do with the permitting for the pool uh deal and we're not and we're not sending anybody to the pool. So what happens is is heisted uh has you know their pool regulations in place where any guest that come through a short-term rental have to the owner has to have the permit uh for that guest to be allowed in the pool. Now, they still got to pay.

Still have to pay.

Right? And I and I went last year uh at to the heised meeting and uh gave them exactly the kind of this speech that kind of we're going over here. Uh and and it all really had to do with I had a family reunion coming up on the 4th of July and I had 70 family members here and have since used it as a template to do other events here. But long story short, I found out about two weeks before we had family members that took up about oh 12 or 13 Airbnbs here and most of them didn't have uh permits to swim at the deal. That's a problem. Uh so exactly what you're saying, we got families coming here and that's a huge disappointment once they get to the pool. So I I went out and that had already happened prior to my family reunion. So I used that as an example because I've seen it happen myself. But I wasn't about to go let it happen for, you know, not just my family re you, not because of me, but my gosh, someone else that wants to have 70 family members come to our community and use our amenities and pay for all that and stay in our Airbnbs. Holy cow, they better be allowed at the pool. You know what I mean? So, I threw it. I threw it.

No blame on Heist on your people that.

No, because there is no blame to put on us.

They have a fee to charge. I think they.

We have zero to do with the fee. We don't have anything to do with it or the permitting or the protocol. We don't have anything to do with it at all. As a matter of fact, the only thing we have to do with is the owner pays us a tax if they have a guest stay there.

That's it.

That's it.

The AM has.

We have zero to do with any of the swimming permits or or we don't contact them to tell them to to send their people. Now, we can, you know, personally advocate that to their owners, but we don't we don't rule over the owners. We just simply police the tax that's collected.

That's it. And and then we use th that tax money to go promote our community. But that's it.

We don't have anything. And I'm not making excuses. I'm just telling you how it is. We have zero to do with the pool.

Yeah. Well, I understand that part. You're right. You have zero to do other than your members can buy swimming.

Okay. They're not our members. They're heid members through the permitted. They're heid members. Uh the owners.

Members of your comm your team?

No, not at our team. They are not members. They are owners that have short-term rentals that pay a tax to us. We don't have a membership.

Yeah.

It's not like the chamber. That's kind of where we get confused.

You guys, it sounds like the Democrats and Republicans pretty much to me that we're not able to find a compromise.

Very working on this. Very, I want to thank all of you guys that worked on High Pro and all the work you did.

Oh, absolutely. The AM commission does not replace that. It cannot.

I wish we had I wish we were legally able to have the interaction that Hypro had, but we are not like, you know, we can't collect any dollars unless it's a tax. We can be donated money, but we can't go sell things. We can't put on events.

Uh the the li the logical place is in the Chamber of Commerce, which sadly no longer exists. Well, well, the problem for the permitting to the pool thing is at that's a heis and it they need to have a resolution to to revamp their pool um pro ordinance or protocol, whatever you want to call it. And they I actually uh kind of volunteered to do that and I haven't had a chance to put it all together to make it make sense. But really what needs to happen is that the revenue that they're missing out on by charging the people at the pool to give everybody access but charge them at the door, they just missed out on a lot more money than they made off of charging the owner's permit of $200 because they only 10 owners signed up for it. And we've got about 60 or something owners.

So they they they didn't make any money and they could have made a lot more if they would have given every owner's uh guest access to that pool. They would have showed up in droves.

Maybe you want to do that presentation at the hyper.

Well, that that's what I.

Monday, right? I can go in there. I don't have a presentation ready, but I can do this and get But I don't but they're looking for someone to give them a structure and I'm like, well, we just need to be like a resort. So, I, you know, did some AI stuff and I've got some stuff pulled down that I'd love to present to them. I just haven't had the time to put it together in the way I want to present it to them so it sticks.

And they don't have a reason other than to say, "No, we don't want to argue with that."

And I've got dollars, you know, with the data that comes with all that that makes it make sense to them. But no, absolutely. We we'd love to change that, but we don't have anything, unfortunately, to if we did, we would already changed it.

I would have not have stood for it this long, that's for sure. But.

This box is full of things and ideas and advertisement here and I hope that you'll take into consideration on whatever happens. Absolutely.

There happens to be a a list like there's a list of list things that's printed off of all you know their names and their addresses and where they're from, state.

Okay. So you can leave that box with us.

Yes, I'll leave that box with you.

That's great. and for listening for it to me.

Yes, absolutely.

With a lot of attention here, I'm gonna pay you.

Pay you guys. Who's the treasure?

That would be my treasure. She's the bookkeeper.

You're not getting treasure, too. Okay.

Uh Hypro is providing you with $2766.80 80 cents to do whatever you think you need to do to help get this advertising.

That's That's incredible. Well,

thank you. We will we can accept a donation and absolutely charge for you kind of.

We really appreciate you putting all that together for us. I've been um it's more than anybody else has put together for us.

It's getting a little old. You might want to cash it soon. Matter of fact, maybe before I leave town soon, huh?

Yeah, we're going to be moving like the Ozarks soon.

Yeah.

And uh a good deal.

It's been a wonderful place to be. I love all the.

Absolutely.

It's great. I'm excited though about the opportunity to do some new things.

I think so.

New restaurants, new lake and new all kinds of stuff. And my daughter has a 35 foot seabboat, so I don't.

Oh, there you go. Oh, wow.

There you go.

That's great.

All right, Dean.

All right. Well, thanks a lot, Vern. We appreciate you coming by.

Appreciate you.

Well, good luck with that. I understand that you're saying that somehow there has to be some way that uh and I think that maybe you are maybe you're right. You need to but I don't know how they uh somewhere they have to draw some line because there's kind of a reason of uh the pools only got a limitation on number of people. So that would be an issue to up to. So the hotels and stuff too, but yeah, we'll get it figured out one way or another.

All right. Well, thank you all for your hard work and what you're doing. Takes volunteers are hard to come by. It is hard to get a team of of people together that will work and be here. So congratulations for getting what you got.

Well, thank you so much.

Thank you. Good luck. Good luck.

Take care.

There you go. A box of goodies. If I left any other money or toys in there, let me know.

All right. More envelopes.

All right. All righty. Appreciate you.

Thanks a lot.

Thank you for listening.

I will.

We have anything else to say about that?

All right.

I think that's some.

Yeah. Yeah. That's great. Our first donation.

Yeah. Right. Yeah. All right. We're going to call Mr. Steve up cuz I know he's pass down to Tabby to deposit. I'll keep this unless you need it, Tammy.

I do need that. I need a copy of that.

All right. Just you file it wherever you file it.

So, that was the Holiday Island uh promotion associ.

Promotion.

Promotion or promotion association. I can't remember.

Yeah, they promoted that for years.

Yep.

All right. Mr. Steve's here, I guess, for funding for his.

Okay. She did cook off for the advertising right $750.

We're going to put a quarter page ad in fun guide for April and then two ads and story in um the time.

Okay. Yep. Great.

So that should be enough.

Yeah, that's awesome. We've got a lot of attention on the uh Facebook post. It's got a little over 2,000 hits on it. So yeah, a lot of people.

Actually getting a lot of calls from local.

Are you participate?

Oh, that's great. Yeah, because that was one of the uh I mean, you know, most of them were in the groups around here, but um I mean, I've sent it off into the Tulsa and DFW markets and that sort of thing. But yeah. Yeah, let's get some traction.

And if anybody here wants to be a judge at the mall.

Oh, really? You need some judges, do you?

We all do.

Well, I might be up for that. Yeah. Yeah.

You need to if I don't see.

You need to be at the barn 11:30 sharp.

Okay. Yeah, I'll be already helping doing stuff, setting up probably. So, yeah, that'll be great.

Yep. Yeah.

Cool. Yeah. Oh, Parker might even be available that day if he's not working. Yep.

Uh Jason.

So as a group, we have to uh approve this funding request before Tabby can write.

That's right. Yep.

They have to approve it.

Yep. So, we'll official. No, you're good. Yeah, we'll officially approve it.

I'm not greedy.

We It did have a good turnout last year, right? I mean, they generally do. I think last year.

Oh, last year was really good.

Bigger, wasn't it? More people.

Yeah, we've been um as far as the the the donations go, it's been pretty steady at 5 to7,000 able to donate.

Good charity. And the spectators getting more and more.

Right?

This year we raised the uh the entrance fee from $8 to $10.

Yeah, that's right.

Which is still great.

Still a bar.

Yeah, absolutely is. So, do we have as many participants so far signed up that we did?

We have uh 13 folks.

Okay.

Yeah.

And they usually signed up in the last couple weeks.

Okay. That's right. Yeah. So, we'll we'll probably have more sign up.

We'll probably have close to 20.

Wow. That's great.

Cool. Any more discussion about it? I'm good with it. I mean, I I've been here 20 years and I've seen I've seen it here 19 of them.

It's growing and growing and growing.

It's been every year and I've watched it grow since I've been here.

Yeah.

I've been want been tempted to stop by and just fill up on chili one day, but work keeps me from doing that.

Just when the event is over, I will provide receipts for the ants and if there's any kind of.

Okay. Yeah, sure. Okay.

I move that we approve the request for $750.

All right. Got a motion to approve it. I'll second it. All right. Let's do a roll call vote.

Yep.

Plumbley. Yes. Lawler. Yes. Yes. How? Yes. Mitchell? Yes.

I'll approve.

All right. Miss Stamp's got your check, Mr. Steve.

Would you like it now?

No. I can give it.

That's official. Yeah.

Thanks a lot.

You bet. Thank you so much.

We might have you two judges at least.

That'd be fine. That'd be great. I just.

Maybe three of a nice way to to learn how to football.

No. Right. Absolutely. For sure.

And the Chili actually.

Oh, yeah. Absolutely. Yeah, it is every year.

That's great. We appreciate your effort.

You're welcome.

Thank you.

All right. Next item is a merchandise for parades.

That had to be on.

Okay. Yeah. Um so yeah, I guess maybe not just for parades, but uh other events as well, such as the uh Eureka Springs uh Chamber putting on the um deal in April 7th uh that you know we could have a chance to have a booth at and that sort of thing. But I'm I'm just, you know, without the chamber and stuff that used to kind of, I guess, go do this stuff, I don't have anything to put a booth together with, you know. So, we're going to have to start talking about spending some money on some merchandise stuff. We need a probably a flag to put over the table with the logo on it.

Merchandise for what?

For well, for Holiday Island. Yeah. We're not promoting AMP. We're promoting Holiday Island. So, anything that we can go to these trade shows or whatever with uh to set up a booth, you know, there's there's just a lot of branding uh items that we need to come up with that you would typically have at a booth anywhere you'd go to set up. So, you know, for instance, the Northwest Arkansas uh um um not the Travelers Naturals um uh, you know, we have a lot of opportunity uh over there that I'm looking into, but I'll have to get with the budget and figure out where we can fit something in. But, uh, you know, they could do a Holiday Island night and I mean, you know, it's it's a little pricey, but see, they're on that as well and they're willing to cut us a pretty good deal to get us involved. I mean, they're really trying to get us involved, but we can only afford so much right now. Uh, but, uh, we could have just as little as a table at the entrance when people come in to hand stuff out, and that's a very cost-effective deal. We could probably afford to do that this year, or we could have an event out here, or one of our events we have where they send people out and and have a raffle for free tickets and that sort of thing. But, you know, again, we've got to have kind of merch on hand to deal with that type of stuff and be seen. We just don't have that gathered up yet. Uh, I don't think I've got time to figure it out for April 7th dealing and Eureka, but we should absolutely be there. And, you know, I should have been looking at that a little closer in the but there's a lot going on, I guess.

Um, our budget for this year is very, very tight.

It's very tight. So that's, you know, again, a bunch of these things come up on my radar, but it's like, well, I can't even approach it because of the budget. So, you know, it is it is that and I, you know, again, I wish Vern was here actually to hear this part, but that's where we're at.

Can I chime in?

Yes, please.

Can I Okay, so um I do know of a couple places that we can get branding materials relatively cheaply.

Okay. Um I had um I've looked at the budget and I've gone over because like we have already gone over on certain categories like my Amazon workspaces. I had to extend that. So I took money from my office supply budget and that's what I'm using to cover it. Now I do have an extra $2,100 that is that I essentially said we're going to put in reserve. We're not going to spend it. Um, if you guys wanted to, we could probably come up with a very not large obviously, but we did just receive that donation.

I was about to say.

So we could use part of that to get some of this material together because like you said, you're going to need tables, chairs, you're going to have to have a little flag or something. I know what you're talking about because of the stuff that was used at the chamber, right?

Very similar things. So, you're going to want pamphlets. you're going to want and um we're going to want to make something for Holiday Island as a whole.

As a whole, I've kind of have a template started. Um I forgot the site that I was on. It might be uh.

Probably Canva.

It was Canva or Vista.

One of the two.

One of the two.

But I started looking at all that on kind of what you would need for just a basic setup or whatever.

If you send me what you have, I will continue working on it on my on my own time. Right.

Not am time. On my own time.

Yep. Okay. If you guys are okay with me doing that, I'm I will do that on my own.

Okay.

Yeah, that reminds me now that we're thinking about it.

What kind of merchandise are you talking about?

Um, we did like a little, you know, they kind of had like the banner that you put over the table for sure. The flag things that go up. They've got some new stuff. There's a.

Laser separate the table. Well, what are you putting on the table?

I'm sorry. So, information about of our amenities. So, a flyer. really to be honest with you my QR code that I can put separate links to or whatever that would be you know a big part of it but uh all the things that you would typically see at a trade show.

Name some of them besides keychain.

Keychains koozies are a big thing koozies are people keep people keep those.

Yeah, all those pins, you know, cups mugs hats, you know, just the the small little.

I Like.

Some people just have little sacks already filled with little things and you just pull the sack and you got, you know, swag is what they call it, you know.

A little swag bag.

Yeah. Little swag bag. And so stuff like that. And like I said, if you order it and it's not crazy expensive, but.

That donation helps a lot.

Yeah.

You know, for sure.

So if you guys can um like I said, this would be on my own time, not the time that I charge the AMP for it. That's completely separate. If you guys give me a budget, I'll look into it and like of how much of this donated money you guys want me to use. I'll look into it and see what.

I can get for that price and then bring you guys a couple different um quotations, ideas, things like that.

Well, it won't be by April 7th.

Yeah. No, it won't be by April 7th, but it will be for any later ones that been.

I'd like to have it figured out by our next meeting and we can pull the trigger after that on getting it because once we do decide on it, it can be delivered pretty quick. Yeah.

You know, so I think there's a deal at the end of April with the naturals that we could maybe possibly do at the entrance affordable deal where they let us set up a table just for that.

You know, I have a question. Um, we bought these brochures. They have a. Yeah.

If we had a phone number we could have that transferred to.

Well, I think it's out. That's the chamber phone, right?

That's the high prof phone.

I'm sorry.

It's the high phone that they gave to the chamber.

They would have to keep their number in service to forward it or we would have to take over the cost of that number, which is not worth it because that stuff's running out. I mean, there's only so many of those left. Honestly, I don't you know, if if we are missing people uh that are calling that number, I that is a shame, but I'm kind of willing to bet it's not that many and it's just going to go out of circulation before it's we could even do anything about it to make it worth it.

You know, and they would the other option would be um because I've done the stickers before.

Sure.

Um is just put the um put the website called. Yeah.

In place of the phone.

Right on those brochures before we give them out to the visitor center or whatever.

Yeah.

We could. I mean.

The QR code.

Huh?

With the QR QR code on there.

Yeah. Well, it's a little thin area for that number. We're just trying to cover the number, right?

Yeah, but you can also put a little QR code on there, too.

Sure, you totally could. I mean, I'm not opposed to it if it doesn't cover up something else that's already on there. We just have to look at it and see it.

It's actually a liability. We have flyers out there and people call and there's no answer. It's like, oh well.

Oh, it's a big turnoff.

Um, you know, I don't know how many things that number's on, but.

How many?

I'm just thinking about the brochures right now. We have them.

We have them and they've been paid for and we might as well use them. So, maybe something can be done to cover each one of them up and just go through the steps of manually covering it up. Um, another number is not an option. We can't give out our AMP number.

Um, it would just need to be the website with and with or without the QR code.

Honestly.

Because we we will get contacts from there. I mean, they can go contact us and we get the email.

So, that's being monitored.

So, that would be legit. Oh, yeah. Our website email where you hit contact us. Uh I think myself, Andrea, I think maybe it's just us two so far that are copied on that.

So I've had somebody uh do uh contact us before through it. One of the owners, matter of fact.

You had stickers like labels made up of QR code website.

That's what I was.

Yeah. Just a pre-label and just stick them on there.

I like that. I have all those uh I have the labels that Avery and I could print them off and then but I do not I will print them off but I cannot I say I do not have the time to do that.

Oh, nobody else will have to figure out okay I'm used to.

Maybe we could meet up mariachi's up here somewhere and have a little sticker label party. A label party. Yeah. Michelle, would you help with that?

Okay.

We got a taker in the crowd, ladies and gentlemen.

You're hired. Doesn't pay much, but.

Okay. So, we need an approval to uh come up with a budget amount and approval for Patty to.

Look into it.

Look into this.

Yeah. To help build the temp. Yeah. Whatever. Yeah. Thinking like 800 bucks,000 bucks.

Well, we don't. It's hard to kind of come up with the budget. I was going to.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was going to see. We might need to get a price.

You guys that give me at least a a.

An outline. I don't have an outline of what I would want involved. So, I'll get that to her. She can get some prices together. But.

For us coming up with that number now, we just need it for next time, right?

Yeah.

What do you think? No, she needs.

No, I need I need I can come on. I mean, I'm sorry to vote on. I understand that.

She wants a cap.

I want a cap. Like, I don't.

That's what we'll have to do is plug in all those things that we think. If you can give me a cap.

Yeah. I don't know where.

Of the $2,700.

I would like to spend. I mean, there's a,000 bucks that could be spent pretty quick and that would probably get us quite a bit of merch.

How much was the donation?

$1,000. Let's promise you it will be spent. It'll go somewhere eventually. You know, we're not going to overspend on merch. I mean, there's no way.

To I'm going to move that we approve a cap of $1,000 to research.

Availability of merchandise.

Okay. Well, so 1,000 is my.

We approve Tabby to look into that.

Yes.

I move that merch.

I need a second on it.

Anybody want a second that?

I second that. There you go. Thank you.

Take a roll call vote.

All right. Plumbley.

Yes.

Lawler.

Yes. Yes. Paul.

Yes.

Mitchell.

Yes.

All right, it passed.

I won $1,000.

Good.

Well, I like shopping, guys.

I know. Let's.

Just kidding.

Well, let's just see where we go because we can always.

I really think you we're going to get a lot of bang. You can always up it.

Cuz I still got pins. I ordered it 5 years ago from pins.com for next to nothing.

And I can't give them away.

I'll give them.

All right. Advertising opportunities.

Uh yeah. Yeah. I guess with the um so the advertising unit that we used with the big screens uh St. Patty's Day, that was a pretty cool deal. Uh we'll have a kind of a promo video put together. Uh Parker's already put together some stuff, but he got some drone footage while we were pulling the float. He was in the passenger seat running his drone. It's pretty cool. But.

We'll get it posted and we'll I'll start sharing it.

Yeah, we'll share it to everybody. But yeah, it was pretty.

Commission. It's posted.

Yeah. Yeah, it's posted with the commission tag and stuff. So, it's got a quite a few views so far. But, uh, yeah, Michelle was there. We had some other people from the community on the float. uh had five or six golf carts that were uh all decorated. Um, yeah, it was something. We had the mayor uh Pat Elwood drove the mayor and we had him in front of us and they had a big, you know, holiday island flag on the front. So they kind of they led our group but we all got grouped together, you know, and then they had the big announcement at Basin Park where at when you go through they announce your float and everything and uh whenever they had emailed me the proof of everybody's order and what they were going to say and I guess I overdid it. Everybody had like one sentence and I had a paragraph in there about holiday. I thought, "Oh, they're never going to use it." They did the whole thing. It just kept going. She's like, "Yep." It's like, "Oh boy, they just overdid it." the uh.

Overall thoughts on the float.

Oh, I mean huge. There's zero reason why we shouldn't do this every time.

Yeah. I mean, I was hanging out later in the evening and people were talking about the float and I had t-shirts made for Lewis the island dog that we might have as a marketing mascot for us here. Even talked to the mayor about dedicating a mascot for the city, you know, and it was it's really big. I I think I emailed some data based on that stuff to you guys from the research that I pulled from it. But I mean, yeah, it's a hit. So, yeah, people were going pretty crazy about and that code was huge. And of course, a lot of people had their cameras out already filming and that link just shows up. I got to get a read on it, but there was over 150, you know, scans on it and it goes straight to our website.

Oh, yay. So that was just in about a 40-minute period for that float and that many people scan it and then it goes home with them.

Yes.

It's in their phone. It goes. So it's not a brochure that goes in the trash. It's, you know, not any money spent.

On it. I mean, other than the TVs and the setup, but now we'll be able to use that in every parade. uh any event that goes on here within our ordinances um, you know, at the pool during the holidays, there's no reason or movie night at the ballpark um get a bunch of everybody get bring their, you know, not a drive-in but a sit in.

Bring your lawn chair a blanket and movie night at the ballpark uh there's a lot of things we can do during the summer when the tourists are here and advertise on it, you know, and uh I you know, I wish the ormp was able to sell advertising because uh we'd certainly do that and put it all over through the screen, but can't that can't happen. So, I've got to get it creative on how to do that.

Um outside the&mp.

I have a question. Um, can Weeds grow with us?

Well, that's Yeah, but the funding is.

Oh, yes. I was just curious if we were allowed to do that. Like, just talking about the movie the movie night like can we.

Well, I think I don't like that.

We can. And I mean, we typically the chamber would help put events or something like that together, but I'm kind of doing it on a personal side with um the business I've got going, a consulting thing where we're going to donate and uh and and Parker's got a uh his own business that he's had going, drone and mechanic and all that stuff. Uh, but where we're going to just pro bono this for the commission and donate content. We don't have the money to afford to pay these drone people and content creators. Like that parade that we did would have been 800 bucks or more.

And we don't have that. That's for one day.

Yeah.

You know, we clearly are never going to be able to do that and for every event. So, we're going to go out create content, create some events if we can personally and with through our company and stuff, weddings and family reunions and all that, but we can get involved uh to whatever money maybe is great to donate it to the commission. So, that's kind of we need an event hub. We don't have a chamber. I'm not sure we need one. Uh, we can't have the funding for it. So, it needs to be privately done in my opinion and have one hub for all uh clubs um uh uh government entities, whatever has to do with Holiday Island has to go through this calendar to create.

Yeah. One one hub calendar for all events to get created. And we're not stomping all, you know, the the art thing was the same day as the St. Patrick's Day parade. I'm not sure. I haven't heard of the turnout yet on the painting party at the grill. I have no idea. I haven't heard a thing about it.

It's been popular, but I don't.

It's been, but I don't know if it was that day. And perhaps if we had a calendar in place, they might have chose a different weekend.

Can't we put a calendar in our website? Like.

No, we do. Yeah, we we Yeah, that's what I'm kind of getting at. Yeah, but they also have their chamber that's going to that one calendar. We don't have that. So, yeah, we can help as an AMP do events or whatever, but we're we're handsoff.

Yeah.

You know, it's got to be done and then presented um like we would if we did have a chamber that would donate the money from the event that we.

Help promote, sponsor or whatever. You know, we can take donations and that sort of thing. So, that's kind of we're we're brainstorming on it, trying to figure out how to make that work. And uh and the legalities of it all is the biggest part of it. So, that's the kind of heavy part of the research on it. But anyway.

That's the idea. But as far as that digital advertising deal, yeah, we I think we're going to get a lot of use out of it. And uh, for $900 and something dollars total uh, in on producing it, it's about as cheap as you can get on using it for multiple uh, advertising mediums. Yeah. Think about pulling up there by the golf course and parking lot.

By their screen probably the sign the new sign up.

Big driveway feel free to.

There you go right now we need one at this entrance down here darn it.

I'm right in the middle of holiday.

Yeah, you are right there double-sided sign, you know, it'd be good.

But yeah, maybe other businesses or people corporate events that we can get to come here that do retreats maybe they'll uh want to use it for a presentation in the ballroom room or, you know, they can donate money to the AP to use the screen.

You know, so we can make that part of the events that happen here uh, yeah, we have a digital um uh presentation screen you can use it's double-sided or you can use one side uh, you know, maybe have a minimum donation I got to look into the legalities of that because that's kind of like selling something I don't know.

You know, yeah, right.

I'm not going to sell this to you but you can donate.

Yeah, yeah, I just don't think you can tell them how much or a minimum I don't know maybe you Can I I don't know but something to that.

So is it runs on a battery?

It does. Yeah. We got a deep cell battery about a 2-hour time period.

Two hours.

Now we can improve that.

So it's a short it's a short term.

Well just for parades it is. Now when we have it at the ballroom or anything like that. It just plugs in the wall.

Extension cord.

Yeah. Just an extension cord. A power uh uh bar. Plug it into and it's off. The only time we use the battery is uh uh even if the ball field for the movies, we just run an extension cord out to from the.

The reason I asked the question is because if we've got that and we're talking about, you know, providing advertising space, I don't know how much the they're charging for that one down there in the clubhouse, but you know, we could.

Oh, yeah.

Put up here somewhere.

No, for sure. Like on holidays is what I thought even. um, you know, maybe we do something with Sunfest and they want to use it for something. I don't know. There's a lot of other ideas to kind of come up with, but uh, it's all good and stuff to have the ideas on how to use it, but then it's like how do you implement it legally through the A&P and that's kind of, you know, but we'll once we figure that out, it'll apply across the board and we'll we'll we'll figure it out.

But there's a way to make that thing work for more than just a parade, you know, no doubt about it. Anyway, uh advertising opportunities otherwise the fund guide. Um, we do have that uh here and I I got a price sheet that I have been in touch with Jeremiah on and uh, but again, kind of looking at the budget and trying to figure out all right, we can't be in every fund guide so we're going to have to pick and choose what we can. Uh, that donation helps a lot in that regard and I think we should be in the fund guide. Uh, it's something that, you know, Vern's been barking at for quite some time and I wish we kind of probably would have gotten in a few of the issues, but again, without knowing the things like if we would have spent a bunch of this money early on and then found out about this firewall,

We would have been done for, you know, we wouldn't be, you know, and the.gov thing, all these legality things you got to pay attention to. So, uh, but now we're looking at maybe spending some money in it. So, we we're on we're back on track to figure that out. And u and then of course the um uh visitor guide comes out on the 20th. So, we'll have that uh it wasn't was it a full page? What did we get.

Is I think it's a full page head full page and the tourism guide uh that'll come out. So, that's on the 20th. Uh, oh, and then the results from the commercial, the Olympic commercial, uh, there's not I don't have like the exact analytics on it or whatever, but they between I think it was 28 times it viewed on three different channels and uh, it got quite a bit of coverage and all of their uh athletes to inspire segment, all everybody that participated in that had a apparently a big reaction to it. So for 500 bucks, I think that was a good move as well. Now I think that's all I got on opportunities to advertise so far.

Do we need Are you asking first?

No, I'm not. I just want to make you aware that I'm I'm looking to now that we've got the budget in front of us. By next month, we'll be able to vote on uh I mean, if we have to I can't remember. Do we have to vote on.

And again, we can always have a workshop to talk about.

That's what Yeah, we need to do that up at the meeting.

Yeah, I need to bring up that. Uh, we need to probably put a workshop together to do a bunch of the things. We need to tidy up the initial start of the AM commission with the mission statement. You know, the stuff that just kind of got left out. Let's tidy that up and get more organized maybe here. And uh, and then maybe we can.

Kind of delegate or or assign different categories. I mean, we already have some categories made up here. Uh, but uh, and I need to get in touch with Mark. We need to get some golf course stuff going. Um, you know, that the stuff doesn't stop. I haven't heard of a tournament yet, but that may just be me not.

Involved enough. Yeah.

Well, the only the only tournament that we know is coming up in June is the fire department golf tournament.

That one is happening. Yeah. Okay. So, I need to when do you know when that isn't that June or something?

June 20.

Yeah, I'll find out. But it's it's enough away to get going. So, yeah, I need to get with him on that. Good.

Um, if you guys let me know when you want to do the workshop, I'm assuming we'll figure out scheduling later. I'll try my hardest to be able to attend.

Okay. Maybe shoot me a availability for you. What's What's the best idea? What's the worst?

I know my schedule is more restricted, but I can also.

Move mine around if I have to.

Okay.

Yeah. Yeah, the golf tournament is June 27th.

Okay.

All right.

So, does that kind of fall into the promotional ideas?

Yeah. Kind of all lumped in there together. Yeah.

Okay.

And then we've got um a public to to speak.

We got to discuss one more thing.

Oh, one more thing. Sorry.

Exactly. Two more things.

Two.

Oh, yeah.

Go for it.

Uh discussion of the legal counsel. Getting a lawyer.

Yeah, we're still.

Still in the same boat. We making phone calls and.

We're we're pretty much in the same boat not finding one that was willing to uh cover us.

You tried Yeah, you tried real hard to get whoever was doing it in your Rick and they just said no.

I did just send you another lead. Okay.

Okay. Awesome.

Because I remembered it as we were talking and I was like.

No, that's perfect. Great.

So, I just emailed that to you. Hopefully.

Cool.

I hope so.

Do you want to pursue that or you want us all to get involved?

I'll pursue it. I'll I'll contact them and then maybe I can once we get there uh to shove it off to somebody else if we need help doing it. But we just need to get somebody to.

Uh cover us and start bouncing stuff off of for sure cuz we're getting into some areas as we discussed tonight like well I don't know. I need to do some research and yeah. So that that's a phone call or an email or whatever we work out with legal counsel. But.

So, okay, I'll follow up with that.

All right. Next one is the dedication of the flag pole.

Okay.

What was that all about?

So that has to do um and I I apologize. I can't remember the fella's name, but has has um created a flag uh with our logo that the city is going to I guess dedicate a flag for the city. and we're going to have it on all the flag polls. Uh, which I had literally just talked to somebody about it and then um I forgot who told me the name. Um, at any rate, came back up Saturday at the parade and uh, oh, it was Pat Elwood that was telling me about I was like, "Oh, well that's crazy." I was just thinking, man, we need a flag. Uh, and it needs to go on every flag pole with our American flag and the state flag and the city flag. And.

So we need a flag. Who needs a flag? Like the city needs a flag. The comm Yeah, we need a flag. So that's being.

The city just bought a new flag for out.

Right? That's that's what the mayor was saying Saturday. And so we're going to, you know, get some more of them so we can put one at the swimming pool where there's a flag pole. I mean, at the rec center rather, and or look into seeing about that. We'd have to get with heist and that sort of thing. But my thing that for the AMP was to dedicate a flag pole on the island um where Table Rock Landing is. You know, where the bald eagle is, the the wood carving.

Um, but a giant flag pole with some pretty darn large flags and that sort of thing.

Uh, people coming in off the lake, people driving in uh to the island, tourist, it really does uh say something. It kind of makes a statement about your place when you have something crazy big like that standing out. So, that's the first thing. It's probably core property and we'll.

Well, no, it might be, but I don't think I think it's Table Rock Landing.

I think it's theirs. It's on their grass. It's in their point.

We'd have to find that.

I'd have to find out. I don't think it's.

Oh, for sure.

It would be a problem, but I am almost 100% sure it's not.

The AM to sponsor dedication of a flag. That's what I'm looking into to do and how that would happen and kind of I'm going to get the kind of the expense uh of it and that sort of thing. But more well as importantly to to let if Table Rock Landing uh indeed has the land that that's at to let them uh let that happen. You know, let the AMP dedicate a flag pole to it or or if it's Heised land, but the mayor thinks it's Table Rock Landing.

I think so.

And I think it is too. Uh, so, you know, I don't know. I don't know how that.

Rock Landing is not it's no longer time shares. It's it's a conglomerate of.

Well, yeah, I know private owners. It's just the signs out there still and everybody kind of refers to it as that. Yeah.

But, uh, as far whoever it is, I've got the management company is who I who I have to contact.

Two of them.

Yeah. Right. Yeah. Two of them. Right. So, you know, I got to figure that out and how that needs to happen, but I think it would be a really good idea for us to do. Yeah. Uh, so I'd like to try to figure out uh the cost involved and and all of that um to make that happen. Uh, I have no idea. But uh in Tulsa, there's a place uh Riverside Chevrolet and a uh Ford dealership right next door to each other and they battle it out on who's got the biggest flag.

Okay, here's the thing.

Yeah.

There are planning ordinances against size of flags and things. So we would also have the city ordinance.

A variance for that.

You would have to talk at night if it was American flag.

You got to have it all lit. All those things that go with having a flag and yeah, what certifies it to be. Yeah. There's a lot of research to do.

Uh no doubt about it. But I'd like to try to figure that out uh by summer and if it all fits and the numbers work then we can kind of start going through the motions of whatever it takes to do it. But that was just, you know, kind of the idea.

All right. Anything else? Commissioner comments.

We've all kind of commented all even.

Commented out.

All right.

Online comments or anything?

Oh, let me see here.

I'll get to you here in a minute, ma'am.

Live chat. No, it does not look like anybody's chatting today.

We We're doing enough for them.

Yeah, right. I was being concerned at all.

I guess. Public comments.

All right. Yeah, you just stand up and announce your name.

Yeah, I'm Michelle. I was part of the we had and um it was so much community involvement and so much exposure. Um, all the people really loved it and I think it really represent island amazingly because especially since we're not usually part of the parties. It drew in so much more that we could get just doing it here. And I I think it very beneficial for us to go and involve oursel, you know, festivities and stuff too because they brought in so much tourism.

Also brought us so much and the exposure was amazing. Um, the children loved it. They had so many people. Oh, who's Louis the dog? You know, it just really we got it caused interaction with them and really enjoyed it.

And the candy.

Candy. We all they love the candy. But.

A five gallon bucket.

Of candy.

Oh yeah. It goes in two minutes.

Yeah.

Yeah, started a little early. We got a little excited.

Got a little buzz going. Huh.

Yeah. Next next parade we got it. We'll figure it out. Yeah. We got to dynamic.

Continue your parades out there. Really help a lot.

Yeah.

Yeah. You and and a couple other community members um were out. Kelly Marie and her friend Pat and um.

And of course Bradley and and Louiswis the island dog and Charman. Yeah, we had probably five or six.

That's wonderful.

Community members helping us out decorate and everything. I mean it was just Yeah. Next time we'll have more lead time uh to get the community knowledge about it. We only had about two weeks. Yeah. So.

Yeah. Yeah, I've been a part of this area since 1998. I all over during the spring with Holiday Island. I never I don't remember ever seeing Holiday Island in parades. So, it was it was a breath of fresh air. So.

Awesome.

Well, thank you guys for.

Yeah. Thanks for coming.

Thanks for throwing in.

Yeah. Thanks for helping. Yeah.

Well, I do have a speak to her about her talking. Uh, I had some guests come up from Louisiana. Oh, really?

Come up strictly for the.

For the St. Patty's Day. My guests were here for.

They told them that look the holiday float and they booked for it and they said it was amazing.

They did. Yes. Oh, they reported back. That's I love getting the feedback from it. That is awesome.

They had really never thought of seeing they called TVs in a float.

Digital advertising on the cheap.

So, it I've looked at what it cost to rent one of those trailers. There's a digital advertising trailer business. Yeah.

And uh, you know, you just give them or you know, and I think they even produce the ads for you or whatever. But I think it was $2,500 a day.

To rent their advertising trailer.

Box trucks with the billboard.

Yeah. You know, just right there, digital billboard. So.

All right. On the scheduling, April 20th at 6.

Yep. And we'll we'll try and schedule workshop sometime, but I'll I'll let me give that some talk before we do that and I can just email everybody to see availability.

Okay.

You get it set up with everybody else. Just let me know. I'll make it work for me.

I can't say yes, this is good or no, it's not.

Yeah.

I spent all weekend working on hot tubs. So nothing this week weekend worked right for me cuz I'm going to come help decorating and riding the parade and all that.

Yeah. You got stuck with it.

Got stuck with the.

Yeah.

With the hot tub.

I just got all kinds of readings and all kinds of stuff coming up. So.

I'll try to get it. I'm looking at the blue dots on April. I've got one day left. It doesn't have blue dot on it.

Oh, wow.

So, let me let me just see what I can do.

Okay. Just send an email or whatever and yeah, we'll get we'll figure it out.

All right. Any announcements? You got anything to announce, Parker?

All righty.

Who's ready to go home?

Let's do it. I'm hungry.

I move to adjourn.

I second it.

Got a motion to adjurnn and a second. All in favor?

I I.

Good night, folks.
