The Only Normal Boy in the World 😳

Scene Slice•1:13

Transcription

In this world, everyone had Down syndrome. People couldn't even tie their shoelaces. But there was one boy who was different.

On his first day at school, he noticed that all the kids had their shoelaces tangled. Even the teachers couldn't tie them properly. But the boy easily untied every knot without any trouble. From that day on, every morning, the other kids lined up just so he could tie their shoelaces for them.

One day, his parents took him to a boxing match. The boy was confused when he saw the fighters hugging each other instead of fighting. Then it was his turn to step into the ring. The boy standing in front of him was much bigger and stronger. But the moment the match started, he knocked him down with a single punch. Everyone was shocked.

The medical staff rushed into the ring, but instead of helping the fallen fighter, they grabbed the boy. After running several tests, the doctors discovered that he had one chromosome less than everyone else. People searched everywhere for the missing chromosome. His pockets, his room, even his entire house, but they never found it.

Years passed and the boy eventually grew up. They built special toilets just for him and gave him separate parking spots. Everything about it felt weird to him. Whenever girls saw him, they would quickly close their curtains, making him feel even more alone. So, he decided to undergo surgery so he could become just like everyone else.

But at the hospital, he noticed a girl lying in the bed beside him. She had tied her own shoelaces, too. To his surprise, she didn't have Down syndrome, either. For the first time in his life, he no longer felt alone.
