This is our prophetic declaration series, speak this over yourself. And today we are praying a prayer against the spirit of self-sabotage and bad habits. There is a spirit behind every habit that will not let you go. If you find that you are addicted to something or you are too involved, um, or you indulge too much in something that is not helpful to you, that is actually a bad habit and it keeps, you know, drawing you back. Every time you do it, you feel guilt, you feel shame, you feel, you know, all of these things. You feel worse than you did before you even uh engaged in the act. Um, that habit, whatsoever it may be, has a spirit behind it and that spirit's assignment is to keep you bound. Is to keep you going round in circles, to keep you bound and to keep you in a place of condemnation. Because if you are in a place of condemnation, you cannot receive the fullness of what Jesus has done for you. And so your life becomes a cycle of guilt, condemnation, shame, and then you begin to hide and then you, you find that, okay, soon you walk away from the Lord completely and then the devil can do whatever he wants to do with you at that level.
But today we want to address that spirit of self-sabotage and bad habits. And I want you to believe that as you pray this prayer, the thirst, the hunger, and the urge for anything that is destructive to you, your life, and your destiny is being killed from the root today in the name of Jesus. So speak this over yourself. Repeat after me and speak this over yourself with faith in the name of Jesus.
Say, "Father, in the name of Jesus, I decree and declare that I am delivered from every form of self-sabotage. >> [snorts] >> According to John 8:36, whom the son sets free is free indeed. I therefore decree and declare that I walk in total freedom in the name of Jesus. I decree and declare that every destructive pattern, every bad habit, and every cycle working against my progress is broken right now in the name of Jesus. According to 2 Timothy 1:7, God has not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of a sound mind. I therefore decree and declare that I have discipline, I have self-control, I have soundness in my mind, and I have clarity in my behavior in the name of Jesus. I decree and declare that I will no longer work against myself. My thoughts, my actions, and my decisions align with the purpose and the plan of God for my life in the name of Jesus. According to Romans 12:2, I am transformed by the renewing of my mind. I therefore decree and declare that my mind is renewed and strengthened right now and every day after now in the name of Jesus. I speak to every urge, every temptation, every habit that is not from God. I declare that you are losing your power over me right now in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus and by the blood of Jesus, I break free from every spirit of addiction. I break free from every spirit of self-destruction. I break free from every spirit of self-sabotage in the name of Jesus. According to Galatians 5:16, as I walk in the spirit, I will not fulfill the desires of the flesh. I therefore decree and declare that I walk in discipline, in obedience, in accordance to the will of the spirit of God for me. I walk in the power of the spirit. I walk under the influence of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus. I decree and declare that I am consistent, I am focused, I am intentional, I follow through with the word of the Lord and the plan of the Lord for my life, and I complete what I start with vigor and with strength in the name of Jesus. According to Philippians 2:13, God works in me to will and to act according to his good pleasure. Therefore, I decree and declare that I have the strength to do what is right. I have the discipline to do what is right. I have the power to do what is right. And I have the power to resist what is wrong, what is self-destructive in the name of Jesus. I decree and declare I am no longer stuck in cycles. I am no longer held back by my past habits. I am free. I am disciplined and I am progressing by the power of the blood of Jesus working in my life in the name of Jesus. Glory to God. Amen."
What a powerful prayer. Now, if you prayed this prayer, I feel the spirit of the Lord, the power of the spirit of God all over this place. If you prayed this prayer and you believe strongly in your heart that this has been accomplished in your life, I want you to put it in the comments, "I believe and therefore it is so in my life in the name of Jesus." That is your faith confession. And as you do that, go back and pray this prayer over yourself seven times and speak this prayer over yourself for the next 90 days of your life. Speak this prayer every single day over yourself seven times and you will see yourself break into different dimensions of healing, deliverance, and that which God has purposed in his heart for you from the foundations of the earth.
