Are there any arguments that show you can presuppose Free Will and not conclude with the existence of God in some sense? Yeah, yeah. He says, "I was," or she says, "I was talking to an atheist coworker, and he found this line of thinking compelling because it is difficult to reject Free Will. And God, as such, is such a natural consequence of free will. If you don't seek God, if you're perfectly content with purely natural explanations, uh, free will, uh, can easily be accepted as part of your experience and as a, a prerequisite for anything moral, uh, without throwing God in. Yeah, just as you can be a very good scientist and understand many things about the cosmos and still be an atheist. I don't know an argument from Free Will as a premise all by itself that ends up with, therefore God must exist. If you, if if you add, if you add love to free will, uh, you have a good argument for the existence of God. If if love doesn't go all the way up into God, if love is just our subjective desire, uh, and if love isn't something we're responsible for and choose freely, uh, then there are, I think, practically absurd consequences that follow from that. So I think the love plus free will argument does lead to the existence of God. But I don't, I think a free will argument all by itself does, especially since the atheist can easily be like a, uh, like Invictus, "I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul." Yeah, I think Christopher Hitchens was asked if God does exist, you know, what do you think? And he essentially said he'd shake his fist at him. And there's other atheists who say something like that. Russell was asked the same question, and he said, "I think I had, I would ask, sir, evidently you exist, and evidently my atheistic hypothesis was a bit erroneous. Would you mind answering me one weed little question? Why the hell didn't you give us more evidence?" Yeah, that's a philosopher's answer. Yeah, the fist-shaking is the, the rebel's answer. But there might be something noble about that rebel, like Ivan K. Oh, I see. Ivan. Yeah, he at least takes morality seriously and accuses God of being immoral. Hey, thank you so much for watching.
