So, it has been a while since I've done a voice over in one of these videos, but I thought I'd go through my current spring jacket rotation. This is definitely something I want to do a bit more whether it's with trousers, bags, etc.

Now, keep in mind spring is different in different countries. So, this is just my current rotation living in New York City.

First jacket that we pretty much skipped through is kind of like a grail of mine. This is this beautiful St. Lauron leather jacket. I absolutely love it. I'll be wearing this spring, autumn, winter. And to be honest, I might even put the AC on and just wear it inside the house.

The second jacket has to be the suede one from DoubleRL. What is great about a lot of these jackets that you'll see is that you can find these in all different types of price points. And a lot of these you can find in the vintage market.

Sticking to doubleRL, some of you might remember this from way back. This is the DRRL trucker jacket. Been getting a lot of use out of this. Just literally chucking over a white t-shirt like here.

Then I have my Orly Barn jacket or chore jacket. I got this from Essence a while back when they're having that big sale. It ended up going for 65% off. I love the wash of this. This is typically the jacket I wear when walking Jonah in the morning.

Next, we have this beautiful vintage inspired pigment dyed bomber jacket. I just think the color and the fade on this is just so nice. And obviously, bomber jackets do just typically have a really nice kind of like crop fit to them. And this is my subtle way of adding color into my collection.

Now, if you've been following the channel for a while, some of you might recognize this. This is the Ammy Paris leather jacket, which I love the fit of this. It's not oversized. It's not super long. I feel is such a great classic fitting leather jacket and I love this one especially in the evenings and honestly with indigo jeans and a white t-shirt I think looks beautiful.

Then we have this little number which is a sample from our own line. It's the same pattern as our very first denim jacket but it's in this beautifully washed black color. We're actually going to be filming a whole breakdown of how we got this wash cuz I find it so interesting and so cool cuz it's taken us a long time. We might add distressing, we might not. But yeah, I've just been honestly loving wearing this. I just think the fit is stunning.

And finally, I have this vintage brown LL Beam leather jacket. It fits great. It was 50 bucks on eBay, so definitely don't sleep on LLBAM for some nice vintage jackets. That's my current spring jacket rotation. Let me know what you like to see next.

So, today's a pretty cool moment because Bad Knuckles is having their popup in New York. This is their first pop-up in New York City. And that means obviously I can finally link up with Jacob and also Cole. Jacob's like an OG on YouTube. Like we've been in like conversation and correspondence and all that for quite a long time, but we've never actually linked up in person. So, it would be cool to do that. And that is definitely one thing I love about just like this whole like social media scene is like you just meet people that you probably never would have like gotten the chance to. And you know, meeting people who have like similar interests.

I'll show you what I'm wearing now. It's nothing like crazy special, but I'll show you. Can you see my feet? I don't think you can. So, this is today's simple outfit. We're sitting at about 18° today. So, on top, I do have the Uniqlo thermal, which I've tucked in. The belt is from DoubleRL, which I absolutely love. Of course, we do have the DS fatigue trousers and my black boots as well. Oh, can't forget the New York Yankees completely faded cap. That's basically cool. That's the collection.

>> No, the collection two t-shirt,

>> dude. That's my favorite t-shirt we've ever made, bro.

>> Yeah, I

>> That's crazy. Yeah, I wear that [ __ ] all the time. Bro, you look really good in the air.

>> There we go.

>> So, finally finally here with the bro. Finally linked up with the OG.

>> This guy behind the camera more handsome in person.

>> Bro, you got your pop-up store New York. Walk us through it, bro. Hopefully they can hear you, but

>> Yeah. Yeah, it's true. Uh we got a top floor, bottom floor. Everything's just it's a little bit of uh some of the best sellers um from our current website and then also 23 pieces from our new spring collection. We don't generally drop stuff in collections, but we thought it would be important to do it here in New York. You know, generally we're just kind of like a every Friday of the month kind of thing. Um but yeah, we'll we'll take you through upstairs.

This is our Livingston denim jacket. 100% Japanese salvage. You know, that's a big buzz word nowadays. Orange ticker. Um this is fully assembled. two-prong Japanese buttons in LA. Got a lot of outerw wear. Sorry, a lot of shirting. This is our Eddie flannel. Really good Japanese fabric. Um I've actually seen a few brands use this fabric, which is really nice. Comes with uh a collar pin, which you can then take and put on your hat if you really want to, which is how I do it.

Got our big wide array of hats. That's what people know us for is the way the hats fit. I'm wearing the torch one right now, which is this guy. Custom camo uh custom fabric printed on our uh car text Missouri. So everything about this hat is USA made. We're debuting this. This is the basics full zip. Basically kind of just like a nice cinched in waist. This is something I feel like Daniel would wear wears. Our studio cotton trouser pleated wide villa we fit. Kind of get you a little action here. Stacks really nicely. Let's go. Let's go downstairs. We got the nice plants. Plants are a big essential. I'm just Yeah, you tell me when to shut up.

>> I was going to bring a mic, but I thought you forgot it.

This is our Eddie long sleeve. So it's a all imported Japanese fabric. So this is Japanese. The crinkle over there is Japanese. All the flannels are Japanese fabrics. Shirting is something that I know you're really big on, which you know, it's not something that we do a ton of, but I think that as our customers get older and just like, you know, you understand like it is something that you want to elevate and grow up a little bit as well.

We got our heavy hitter right here. This is our Arthur jean. This is one of our bestselling jeans. Uh, fully assembled in LA out of cone cone denim. Um, let me take I mean, hey man, you want a little BK on you everywhere. This is the fragrance right here. A certain someone. Little guy wood, little sandalwood, little musk, amberree. Made a little zen for it. Dalton, I don't know where he is. He's somewhere around here. Printed this out. Hey. Hey. Hopefully that's what it's so sick. Dude, I finally dude, look at this guy, man. I'm so glad to meet this guy, man. It's been a long time in the making. It's been super sick to see his progress and his growth, man. I I feel really good.

>> But I'm still so afraid they ain't going to be able to hear us. So, there we go. All I'm trying to say is, man, I'm proud of this dude. Like, man, I'm really proud of this dude. I can't believe we were here, bro.

>> But yeah, me from coming from London here and then you here now

>> and then hopefully both have a permanent store at some point.

>> Hey. Yeah, absolutely.

>> Really proud.

>> I appreciate this. For real.

>> We're going to like ch stuff.

>> Yeah. Yeah. We're going to do some real off camera [ __ ]

What the heck? So, we just got done at the the canyon. I highly recommend it. It's new, so it's very busy at the moment. I love the good morning bun. It's It's heavy, but when I tell you it was so fresh and just so what's what's the word? Like, it was like

>> decadent.

>> Decadent. That's not the word I would have used, but man, it was so good. Like, it's definitely made me feel like I'm going to have to do like a big run later today. Coffee is good. It's just a really good place. If you're in this area, I would recommend you to go check it out. All right. Hey

So, obviously it is no secret that I have a bit of an obsession with pastries, penetras, banana bread, kind of like any baked goods. And to be honest, lately I've been having them roughly like every single day. Um, and that's also because like I've started kind of like running again, doing a little bit more cardio. It's in my brain. I'm like, haha, cool. I can now treat myself. But there's two things kind of like wrong with it. One is they're expensive. Like especially here in New York, getting a pastry, like a decent one can be like 56 $7, which is just crazy. And two, obviously, they are quite high calories. you're looking at anywhere between like pretty much like 400 calories to like I don't know 650 calories. So it does all start to add up especially the cardio I'm doing is not kind of like offsitting that.

So what I want to try and do is to see if I can kind of like make a healthier slightly healthier version here at home because life's too short. I do still want kind of like a pastry type thing every day. I found this recipe online. This one is for like a high protein banana bread. We'll see how this goes. My experience with doing healthy treats is that they're kind of just average. But the recipe is quite simple. So the recipe literally calls for two bananas, one medium sized egg, 100 g of protein powder. I have vanilla, 50 mls of skimmed milk. This is all we have, which is pretty much I guess the same. And then 10 g of chocolate chips. This will be where I completely fail because not only will I eat these while making it, I'll probably add more than 10 g. But let's see how this goes and if it's worth making a healthier version at home or if I should just keep enjoying myself and eat them out.

All right, few things first. That took a lot longer than 15 minutes. It probably took a total of 45 minutes. I've also just let it sit out and cool for about 15 minutes. So, we're going to take this out now and see how it goes. All right. I'm kind of kind of nervous just cut in the middle. Anyway, am I going to stop going to uh Yeah, it looks a bit odd on the inside. Obviously, it's protein powder on the inside. Let me just show you. Looks like an egg omelette or something. On the inside looks like egg. It doesn't really matter how it looks as long as it tastes good. It doesn't taste like banana bread at all other than like being able to be like, "I guess there's banana in there. There's chocolate chip in there." The texture is not it like maybe if it sits more I don't know. It does really have this like ah I wish my sisters was here to try it. If I went to a friend's place and they served me this, they were I got some healthy, you know, banana bread and all this. I'd be if they served me this, I'd be like I'd be able to finish it, but I'd be like, mate, that ain't it. Like, I don't need another slice even though I'm eating a little bit more now.

So, I'm trying to figure it out. I don't recommend it. If you have a recipe that you recommend that's meant to be healthy and high protein, I still don't think you can do both. Let me know. Otherwise, maybe I just start baking. Maybe that's what I should do instead of trying to bake healthy unhealthy food. Maybe I should just bake unhealthy food and save money that way. So, I'm not buying it when I go out, but at least I make something good. Maybe we'll do that in the next one.

So, we are heading to kind of my first black tie event. Well, my wedding was a black tie, but this is like the first like black tie event that I've actually been invited to. I was meant to show you kind of like the whole process of, you know, getting ready and, you know, have the other camera out. I've just set up the handy cam really quickly and hopefully the audio is fine as well, but we are running a little bit late. I'm getting feel myself getting flustered now. The event though that we are going to is with Jimmy Chu and they're doing this like casino night thing which again I like never I think the last time I went to a casino I was like maybe 19 and it was in Australia so I haven't been for a long time. I just remember that I loved um roulette mainly cuz it was the easiest but it was also fun as well.

Also, yes, I am a pre-tied bow tie kind of guy, especially something like this. I just find it so much easier. So, I'd rather choose convenience over, I don't know, just stressing and figuring it out yourself. I also love love a comfort bun. It just insanely tidies up this whole area. Gives that more high-waisted look. Kind of cinches in your waist. It's my favorite thing. If I could wear this everyday, I would. Going to keep it very simple with the Katier watch jacket. Ah, I'm stoked that I don't know if I said this at the start, but I'm stoked that I get to wear my wedding suit again so soon cuz again, I did get this custom made for me. So, it's nice to be able to wear it again and it brings back some nice some nice memories as well. I'm happy to see that it still fits nice and well. Haven't let myself go too much. I'll show you the kind of the full look. I have the glasses as well, which I probably will not wear, but this is it. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat.

So, one thing I'm trying to get better at is just kind of like taking a moment to just I guess breathe and be present. life lately has been it's been very busy which I do find is such a blessing. Like I love being busy but I kind of sometimes ignore my body at the same time. I become very focused on tasks and day in and day out I kind of like forget to just like I said take a moment and be present. So, one thing I'm trying to implement more into my day, and I might not be able to do it every day, but I'll try to, is step outside when the weather's good, and just take, you know, 15, 20 minutes not to read a book, not to be on my phone, just to like sit, allow thoughts to come and go. Ideally, allow no thoughts to come and just, I guess, slow down a bit.

What I don't like sometimes is when I catch up with like my mom and my dad in New Zealand, they'll be like, "Oh, like what have you been up to lately, my mind goes blank and I don't like that. I can't think of like what I've been up to because I've just been go go go." And this isn't me complaining. It's more just again if you guys are the same. Like I encourage you to try and take, you know, 10 20 minutes just to sit and be still. And again, I'm going to try this now. We'll see how it goes. Just in a park and yeah, I'll let you know.

So, I sat there for about 20 minutes. I do feel a bit better, but that first the first half was definitely hard. Like all my brain was doing was being like thinking about work or even like thinking about this video, like, oh, did I get, you know, enough B-roll shots or whatever? But after about kind of like 10 minutes, I'd say the brain did start to quieten down. So I think the more I can practice doing this throughout the day, the better I'll get.

One thing I'm wanting to do more on this channel is open up more to kind of talk to you about struggles that I have. Not in a sense of complaining, but in a sense of I guess relatability. because I know the way I film. I've kind of talked about this before, but I know the way I film. I like to film the simple moments of life and to make them aesthetic and enjoyable. And I love that, but I don't want it to come across at the same time that my life is perfect and that I'm perfect because I'm not and my life is not. And that's the same with all of us. So, it's definitely something I'm going to work on. However, again, it is sometimes hard to film your imperfections because I mean, who's ever going to be in the mood to, you know, talk to a camera about their imperfections and their struggles? But I'll work on it. I'll get better. But yeah, that's my my little 20 minutes to myself today.
