It is an honor and privilege to be with you. I'm, uh, I'm wondering about my own life and my own position because Moses did his greatest work when he turned 80. Caleb entered the promised land when he was 80. If you study your Bible, they were in the promised land five years before they ever did anything that they were supposed to do. And Caleb said, "I'm now 85 years old. I want my mountain." And I've always thought that was such a wonderful story because he took the mountain, and the mountain was the household and the center of a family of giants. And he defeated the father and all the sons of the giants.
Now, watch this. And he turned the citadel of giants and pagans and heathens into the city of Hebron. And Hebron became the first city of refuge. Now, you, you can do all you want to with that, that Bishop Paskki and all this wonderful message that he preached. And I was, I felt so bad because he didn't have an audience. And, uh, you're, you're safe because I won't put up with that trash at all. This is, this is serious business with me. And, uh, and I say this all over the world.
Um, if this is your last church service, >> you ought to make it a memorial. [applause and music]
Now, I realize everything is not in emotion. I understand that. And I'm, I'm not trying to be rude because your praise singers were fabulous. In fact, they, they blew the ear wax out of my head. But, but, but if just for me, for a few moments, okay? If you can get that emotional and that hand-clapping and that noising over singing, what ought you do over preaching? [cheering and applause] [music] Hey, hey, hey. [screaming] You don't know like I know. [cheering]
>> Now, I, I told Brother Paskki when he sat down, I complimented him on the wonderful message that he brought and I said, "I realized when you were about halfway through, now I understand why God gave me the message that I have to bring now." Now, I'm not trying to be rude, okay? I'm, I'm trying to be kind, but I'm trying to help you. >> Because what he was talking about, wonders and signs and miracles from Joshua, I was on a platform at a conference not too long ago, waiting for my turn at bat. [music] And while I sat on the platform, the Holy Ghost spoke to me as clear as a bell. I reached and got my pen, got a piece of paper, back of a tithe envelope, and I wrote down what the Lord said to me. He said to me, "If you can convince my people, I will confirm my word." [music]
>> So, it ain't my problem, baby. It's yours. Let me go a little further. I'll get to my message in a minute. I traveled a long time to get here. Okay. When you read Romans 15 and Paul's writing and he says, "Now I have gone around Illyricum and places where the name of Christ was not mentioned, lest I build on another man's work and testimony." And he said, "Watch, but I have through mighty signs and wonders fully preached the gospel." Now, now I have been not at war, but I've been antagonistic at our movement because I thank God for our movement. Thank God for the ALJC. Thank God for the PAW. Thank God for UPC. Fine. But I'm going to tell you something. If we're not having signs, wonders, and miracles, you're not fully preaching the gospel. [cheering and applause]
THE SICK OUGHT TO GET HEALED. THE BROKENHEARTED OUGHT TO GET FIXED. THE DEVIL POSSESSED OUGHT TO GET SET FREE. WE OUGHT TO BE ABLE TO GO OUT OF OUR SERVICES AND YOU CAN'T EVEN EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED. YOU END UP GOING TO THE RESTAURANT OR THE FELLOWSHIP AND YOUR HAIR'S MESSED UP, YOUR TIE'S OVER HERE AND THEY'RE SAYING, "WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU? LOOK LIKE YOU'VE BEEN IN A TERRORIST ATTACK." NO, I JUST BEEN A HOUSE AND JESUS SHOWED UP AND STARTED THROWING HIS WEIGHT AROUND. [cheering] [applause]
All right, stand with me. Come on. We'll, we'll do the religious thing. I'm reading, I'm reading from 1 Samuel, okay? Chapter, uh, 30 and about verse one. Let me just read this real quick and then I'll let you sit down. Okay. Said, "It came to pass that when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the on the third day, the Amalekites had invaded the south and Ziklag smitten with Ziklag and burned it with fire and had taken the captives that were there and slew not any but tarried them away and went on their way." And David and his men came and they saw the city burned with fire, their sons and daughters and their wives and their children taken away and they were just overwhelmed. And David and his people lifted up their voices until they could not weep anymore. They had no more power. And watch this. And David's two wives were taken captive. Ahinoam the Jezreelite, and Abigail the wife of Nabal. Now, that's interesting to me that the Holy Ghost would make a big deal out of telling you the name of the two ladies. The first wife is Ahinoam. Okay, guess what her name means? Her name means grace. Abigail's name means joy.
>> The adversary is after the grace of God in your life. And if he can steal your grace, he can steal your joy. [applause]
>> Uh, now, just, I'll, I'm going to preach in just a minute. Just hold on. He turned around. And he said, and he was all upset and he, David was greatly distressed and the people spake of stoning him. See, things haven't changed. When things are going great, the preacher's wonderful. When all hell breaks loose, let's kill the preacher. Things haven't changed. They, they attack David for their problem. They said, "We're going to stone him." So David said to Ahimelech the priest, Ahimelech, uh, Abiathar, Ahimelech's son, "I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod." And Abiathar brought hither the ephod. And David inquired of the Lord, saying, "Shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them?" And he answered him. Now, watch, he asked him two questions, and he gave him three answers.
>> He said, "Pursue, for thou shalt surely overtake, watch this, and recover all." [cheering and applause]
>> Now, I'm going to go over here to the Presbyterians [applause] and recover all. [cheering] [applause] I'm going to go over here to the Methodists and recover all. [cheering]
GOD WANTS YOU TO GET BACK WHAT YOU'VE LOST. God wants, God, God. Hey, I DIDN'T SAY YOU WERE BACKSLID. I DIDN'T SAY YOU DIDN'T LOVE GOD. I JUST SAY YOU'VE BEEN ATTACKED AND SOMEBODY HAS STOLEN SOMETHING FROM YOU AND IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN AND SAY, "I WANT MY STUFF BACK." [music]
OKAY. NOW, LORD, bless the preaching. Help me to do a good job in Jesus name. Amen. You may be seated. Let me, let me just make a few statements here. I don't know whether I told you this before, but I say this all over the Pentecostal movement. Expectation is always the birthplace for the miraculous. [cheering]
>> You can't come to church with a low expectation and walk with a high answer.
>> No, I'm sorry. Sorry, I got to get down here the cheap seats. I'll get close to you because I want you to hear me. You got to hear me because here's what you need to understand. The promises of God, I don't care what any theologian tells you, any self-appointed idiot tells you, it's not the truth. The promises of God are not self-fulfilling.
>> The promises of God are revelation of divine intention. That God tells you, "This is what I intend to do." And then he steps back and says, "Now, what are you going to do to make it happen?" [applause and cheering]
>> Are you hearing me? Now, you got to get me. Because David has lost his two wives, lost his children, lost his city. He's devastated. They're talking about killing him. And watch what he does. Oh, I wish I got a word of encouragement for somebody. You may have been down for a while. You may have not been praying like you ought to. You may have slipped away because the Bible said that David had been in Ziklag 16 months.
>> You ready? In six, there's 150 Psalms. In those 150 Psalms, not one Psalm was ever written while he was in Ziklag.
>> You, if you don't want to say amen, could you look amen?
>> You understand? He didn't write one Psalm in Ziklag. And I asked the Lord why. I felt like the Lord told me real easy. When my people are living in rebellion and walking away from fellowship with me, the music stops. [cheering]
And, and, and watch. So he turns around. He says, "Bring me the ephod." And he, and he does something to me that I got to get way down here. He, he does something, blows my mind. He's guilty. He's been AWOL. He's abandoned the the promised land. He's become his own savior. He's taken care of. He's run away from Saul. Saul couldn't have killed him with an atom bomb. He'd already been appointed and anointed by God. He's going to be the next king.
>> Sometimes we run away from stuff that can't kill us. [cheering] [applause]
>> He turns around. He does something that's mindboggling, Doc. Watch. He says, "Bring me the ephod. I'm going to go see God. I haven't talked to him >> for all these months. 16 months I've been in Ziklag. You can't find one prayer that he ever made anywhere in the Bible. You can't find any Psalm that he ever wrote anywhere. He is out of sync with God. He is in a mess with God. What a great time to turn back to God.
>> Yes. [cheering and applause]
And, and he turns around and he seeks the Lord. Can you imagine that? Now, is that gall or is that grace? He turns around, he says, "Shall I pursue? Will I overtake? I love God. This, I don't want to hurt your feelings. Please, I hurt people's feelings. I don't want to hurt your feelings, but I'm so sick and tired of the stuff in Pentecost that that bunch of puke has got to stop."
>> Yeah. God did not put David on probation.
>> He waits for his people to do that.
>> When someone in your church falls into an immorality or lies or cheats or falls into sin, God help us. We put them on probation.
>> You sit on the back row for six months or you get off the platform for five, you better give me a break. When's the last time you had a bad thought or you said something wrong or you did something wrong and God put you on probation? [cheering]
>> God didn't put him on probation. Watch this. He answered him right away. "Shall I pursue? Will I overtake?" And the Lord says, "Pursue."
>> No, you didn't get it. I, I'm going to preach you dead Pentecostals until you answer me. And he said, "Pursue."
>> Come on.
>> SHALL I PURSUE?
>> PURSUE. [cheering]
>> Other words, GOD SAID, "GET AFTER IT, MAN. GET AFTER IT. GO AFTER IT. GO AFTER WHAT'S BEEN STOLEN FROM YOU. HAVE YOU LOST YOUR JOY? HAVE YOU LOST YOUR FAITH? HAVE YOU >> [applause]
>> HAVE YOU LOST YOUR EXPECTATION? [cheering]
>> WHATEVER THE ADVERSARY HAS STOLEN FROM YOU, GO AFTER IT. [cheering] [applause]
>> I'm trying to help you. I'm trying, I'm trying not to let you superglued people bother me.
>> You know, your, your impersonation of Mount Rushmore is real impressive. That's why I'm real careful when I go to meetings who I sit next to.
>> I sit next to some that's want to know who's preaching. Who gives a flip who's preaching? It ain't the preacher. It's the message. [applause and cheering]
>> WE'RE NOT INTO PERSONALITIES. WE'RE INTO THE POWER OF GOD. [screaming] [applause and cheering]
>> Are you, are you ready? Are you ready? I, I, I'm trying to get this fast. I said, I'm trying to get as fast I can. He said, "Pursue." Why is that? God gave me a revelation. I didn't steal it. He gave it to me.
>> He said, "Tell my people, you can never possess what you're unwilling to pursue." [cheering]
>> I want to be spiritual. Yeah. That's why you sit like this. [cheering]
>> [applause]
>> I want to be godly. I want to be used of God. WELL, THEN YOU GOT TO GO AFTER IT. IT AIN'T GOING TO COME TO YOU. YOU GOT TO [screaming] GO AFTER IT. [cheering] [applause]
Am I okay? You don't have to pay me. I'm a millionaire. You don't have to pay me. You ready? He says, "Pursue. For thou shalt doubtless overtake and recover all." Now, isn't that mindboggling? He didn't ask whether he could recover all. He just wanted to know if he could catch up to them.
>> And God turns around and said, "Oh, my plans are much better than your plans.
>> I don't plan for you just to catch up. I plan for you to get all your stuff back. I plan for you to get your family back. I, you're GOING TO GET YOUR JOY BACK. YOU'RE GOING TO GET, YOU'RE GOING TO GET YOUR FAITH BACK. YOU'RE GOING TO DO A NUMBER on the adversary.
>> Hallelujah. [cheering] [applause] Hallelujah.
>> Isn't it, am I making sense yet? I'm not causing you any trouble. I know you're the superintendent. I understand that. You know, politicians, I understand. But you got to get this that God says pursue and you'll doubtless overtake and you'll recover all. Now watch this. On the way they find this guy who's an Egyptian who has not had anything to eat or drink for three days.
>> Okay, that's, that's pretty good forced fast. Three days, three nights. And they get him some figs and dates and they give him some water. And he says, "Who do you belong to?" He says, "Oh, I'm a servant of an Amalekite." Watch this. Listen to me. Pentecost, beware that damnable spirit of the Amalekite.
>> Because the spirit of the Amalekite did something to this man. He said, "Three days ago, I fell sick." Here we go. And my master left me.
>> I'm waiting for you to get it. [cheering] He's serving a master that said, "Oh, if you can't perform, I don't want you. If you're not up to par, I don't want you." I've got a MASTER THAT SAID, "I'LL NEVER LEAVE YOU, and I'll never forsake you, and I'll never put on you more than you're able to bear. And with every test AND EVERY TRIAL, I'LL MAKE A WAY OF ESCAPE. I'M NOT GOING TO LEAVE YOU BECAUSE YOU FAIL. I'M NOT GOING TO LEAVE YOU BECAUSE YOU FALL. I'M NOT GOING TO GIVE UP ON YOU BECAUSE YOU MAKE A MISTAKE. [cheering]
Sit up. Sit up. Yeah. You, are you writing stuff down, sister? Write it down. Job 22:29. Okay. Here's what Job says. And when men are cast down, thou shalt say, Here we go. There is lifting up.
>> No. Now, now you missed. Boy, you, you people need to get saved. Woo, man, you, you got to get this. He said lifting up. And that's what Micah said. Rejoice not against me, oh my enemy. When I fall, I shall arise. And when I SIT IN THE DARKNESS, THE LORD SHALL BE MY LIGHT. WHAT IS HE SAYING? I'M COMING OUT OF THIS. I AM COMING out of this. [cheering]
I'm, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Uh, potent superintendent, man, I forgot to give my title to the people. It's on the tape.
>> Okay. What God wants you to experience.
>> One word, recovery. [applause]
>> Well, you didn't get, you didn't get it. The Bible is an ongoing record of constant episodes and examples of recovery, recovery, recovery, recovery. And I said, I asked the Lord, why is that? He said, because the author of the book is the Lord of recovery. [cheering] [applause]
>> JESUS WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH. The purpose of the INCARNATION WAS RECOVERY. RECOVERY FROM SIN, recovery from sickness, RECOVER FROM DEVIL POWER, RECOVERING FROM DISCOURAGEMENT, RECOVERING FROM DESPAIR. GOD SPECIALIZES IN RECOVERY. YEAH. [cheering] [applause]
>> CITIES, cities recover, banks recover, football games, teams recover, boxes recover, golfers recover, bad innings, the dock ball games, they all recover. My God, even hospitals have got a recovery room.
>> Are you ready for this? Guess what? The church is a divine recovery room. [cheering]
>> That's right. That's right.
>> WE'RE HURTING, PEOPLE CAN GET HELP. WE'RE SINFUL, PEOPLE CAN BE FORGIVEN. [cheering]
>> WE'RE MISDIRECTED, PEOPLE CAN GET GUIDANCE. NOW,
>> I used to be a hell-raising drunk and a gambler and a pool shooter and a terrible, terrible person. And, uh, and so if you don't mind me acting like I'm acting, uh, AA when you go to AA, when they go to talk, they always say, "I am a recovering alcoholic." And they have recovering places for gamblers and they have recovering places for drug addicts.
>> You ready? Guess what? Heaven's full of people that have recovered. [cheering] [applause] [cheering] The people in New Jerusalem aren't Pentecostal. They're not Baptist. They're not Presbyterian. They're not Catholic. They're overcomers. [cheering] [applause]
>> THEY'VE RECOVERED FROM WHAT WAS DESTROYING THEM. [cheering]
>> OKAY, just bear with me just a minute, please. I'm giving you license for the next two or three minutes to mess up your row. Say, "Please forgive me, but I'm a recovering sinner."
>> I'm a [cheering and applause]
>> And when I think about how MUCH I'VE RECOVERED FROM, I GOT TO DANCE A LITTLE. I GOT TO SHOUT A LITTLE. [cheering] I GOT TO GIVE. WOO! WHEN I THINK OF WHAT HE BROUGHT ME FROM AND WHERE HE'S TAKEN ME TO. WOO! HE IS THE [screaming] LORD OF RECOVERY. AND GOD WANTS YOU TO EXPERIENCE RECOVERY TONIGHT. [cheering]
>> Can I, can I preach a few minutes? Sit down. Sit up. Sit down. Sit down. Okay. I, I, I, I'm giving up. I'm not going to try to move you dead people. You do what you want. I, I hope you make it. Hope you, you know, I, I pastored 36 years. Wonderful, wonderful church. But I had people in our church that I'd walk up sometimes, "Hey, my friend, God bless." And, and one of these people would always, I'd say, "Boy, it's a beautiful day today." Watch. "It'll probably rain." "Hey, man, ain't God good?" "Yeah, my septic tank just backed up." It's almost like I get my hand off that piece of trash. I don't want the disease that you got. I need somebody said, "Ain't God good all the time? Ain't [cheering] ain't God blessed all the time? HE BROUGHT ME OUT OF THE MIRY CLAY. HE SET my [screaming] >> He set my FEET ON THE ROCK TO STAY. [cheering] [applause]
>> HALLELUJAH. SO, OKAY. I got, I'm sorry. I'm just so excited. I, this, this is the first national meeting that I preached in almost four years. My wife got that congestive heart failure and then COVID and all kinds of junk. And so I've been really apprehensive about coming here until you gave that wonderful message about wonders and signs and miracles. And I went, "Oh." And here we got, if you read Acts 4:29, that early church in Simon Peter had seen more miracles than any people had ever seen before. They walked with Jesus for three to three and a half years. They saw the dead raised. He walked on the water. He healed blind people, de-healed cripples. They saw more miracles than anything. And I'm asking the Pentecostal movement to adapt this, tie it on to what this precious man said tonight, signs and wonders. Read what it says. Now, Lord, behold their threatenings and grant unto thy servants boldness. Here it is. By stretching forth your hand that signs and wonders and miracles would be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. We need to pray and pursue FOR THE SUPERNATURAL UNTIL IT BECOMES NORMAL AMONG US. [applause and cheering]
>> I, I was, I was speaking, you can sit down. I was speaking at the Texas Bible School, me at Texas Bible School, and one of the students stood up and asked a question. He said, "Brother Arnold, said, you, you're on this thing about praying for the sick and healing people and delivering people." He says, "What do you do when you pray for somebody and they don't get healed?" I said, "That's a piece of cake. That's easy. Next."
>> Now, now they did just what you did. [laughter] But I said, "Wait a minute. Let me turn the tables." How many of you have ever tried to teach somebody a Bible study? Almost all the hands went up. How many of you ever taught a Bible study to them and they didn't accept what you said? All the hands went up. I said, "How many of you ever prayed for somebody to receive the Holy Ghost?" All the hands went up. How many ever prayed for somebody to get the Holy Ghost and they didn't get the Holy Ghost? Hands went up. How many of you, after they didn't get the Holy Ghost, you pray for somebody else?
>> Why? Because you can't give anybody the Holy Ghost and you can't heal anybody. You just HAVE TO BE A VESSEL. YOU HAVE TO BE AN INSTRUMENT. YOU HAVE TO BE A CONDUIT THROUGH WHICH GOD CAN FLOW. [applause]
EVEN EVEN JESUS SAID, "THINK NOT THAT I DO THE WORKS, BUT MY FATHER THAT DWELLETH IN ME, HE." Well, wait a, now. Now, let me get real rude. Too bad the Father's not in you.
>> Boy, if the Father was in you >> and you let him out, >> see, you know, the Holy Ghost in you is like the magic genie in the bottle. You got to let them out.
>> And a lot of times we don't let them out because we're afraid it won't work.
>> I had someone the other day, I deal with ninkham poops all the time. And this ninka poop said to me, "Well, what happens if it don't works?" And I said, "Oh, that's easy. What happens if it does?"
>> And there was a kid up there that had his hand all twisted and I was praying for him. I prayed for him three different times. It never got better. And God said, "Well, what are you going to do about that?" I said, "I'll tell you what I'm do. What I told God when I started praying for the sick. When you heal the sick, I won't take any credit.
>> When you don't heal the sick, I won't take any blame 'cause I'm not the healer. I'm just an agent. I'm just a vessel. I'm just an ambassador that God wants to. YOU GOT TO BELIEVE ME. GOD WANTS to use you. Am I doing any good? I, I'm not used to this library stuff. I can't >> I, I can't take this library stuff.
>> You know, I won't be rude. If you're a real Pentecostal, every once in a while, it ought to be dangerous sitting next to you. [cheering]
>> Going to slap somebody up. Gonna knock somebody's wig off. You're going to dance on. [applause]
>> No, you're not. I'm still recovering. I'm still recovering.
>> He's the Lord of recovery. He wants US TO GET BACK what we have lost. [applause and cheering]
>> I'm, I'm, I'm going as fast as I can. This, this, you said Brother Norris is here. Is he here? He's baptized brain. Okay, you're a smart guy. Fine. Then you can answer this one for me tomorrow. Okay. And you, I'll put you on the spot. The Bible said that there was, uh, Naaman went out and captured a bunch of Jewish people and captured this little kid and took her home. So, she was a P, prisoner of war and she's waiting on Naaman's wife.
>> Now, watch this. This is, I've never had anybody answer it, but you got the baptized brain, so you'll have an answer. And if you, God, you can call Bernard and he'll come up with an answer. You'll be okay. So, I'll, you just mail me the answer later. You ready? So, she turns around. "Would God my master was with the prophet who is in Samaria." Watch this. "For he would recover him of his leprosy."
>> Wait a minute. This is a little P. Who's been mistreated, who's been ripped out from her family, who's been stolen from her mother home. She's not bitter. She's not sour. She's not antagonistic. She's full of faith. What I want to know, Brother Norris, you can tell me tomorrow in secret. Ready? How did she believe that that Elisha could heal this guy? There's not one record in the Bible from that point on where any leper was ever healed. Ever. Ever. Look at, look how quiet. Is he telling the truth? You're doggone right telling the truth. There's not one record previous to Naaman that any leper was ever recorded as being healed. So where does this girl come up with her faith? Is it possible that God gave us a picture and says, "Oh, I did that so I could help my people in 2025 that they could set a precedent."
>> Yes. [applause] [cheering]
>> That they could believe God for something that had never happened before. That they could experience something that had never happened before. [cheering]
>> Hallelujah. Can I preach a few more minutes? Just a few more minutes. Okay, just a few more minutes. Are you getting this?
>> So, so that's thinking of Malachi turns around and leaves the guy to die. And then they go and they find the people. Now, you watch, read the rest of that chapter, chapter 30. He leads them to where they got them. And they're having a party.
>> Because your enemy is happy when you lose.
>> And they're dancing in their jubilee and they're having a party over their pain.
>> And David attacks them from twilight till the next night. Twilight takes everybody, wipes her, and 400 escape on camels. And the Bible said, "This is so powerful. Here it is." Now the, I'm gonna get you super glued people right now. Ready? And David recovered all. [cheering and screaming] [cheering]
>> I'm coming up the aisle. I said he recovered all. [cheering]
>> And YOU CAN GET BACK EVERYTHING THAT THE ADVERSARY HAS STOLEN FROM YOU [screaming] IF YOU'LL GO AFTER IT.
>> All right. [cheering]
>> Amen.
>> He, he recovered all.
>> I don't want to hurt your feelings. There's my buddy, Brother Norris. I don't want to hurt your feelings. You're the baptized brain, but what part of all are you struggling with? Is that too theological?
>> He, he recovered all.
>> Hallelujah.
>> No, you, you sit down. You're not getting it yet. I'm trying to give you a record of what the Bible shows you is a history of of recovery.
>> And they attacked and they captured Lot and his family and all this stuff. And Abraham heard that his nephew was taken captive, and he armed his men, 318 of them, and he went after him.
>> Ready for this?
>> And he recovered it all.
>> GOD'S GOT THIS THING ABOUT RECOVERY. He likes for us to experience a recovery. He wants us to enjoy recovery 'cause he is the Lord of recovery. YEAH.
>> WHAT DO YOU THINK SALVATION IS? IT'S RECOVERY. WHAT DO YOU THINK REMITTANCE OF SIN IS? IT'S RECOVERY. WHAT do you think walking in THE HOLY GHOST IS? It's recovery. [cheering]
>> Hallelujah.
>> I, I'm sorry. I, I got the politician over here. Sit down here, politician. And I'm No, he's not a politician. He's just in a political office. He can't help it. Are you ready? Can I preach five more minutes?
>> He said I can take 10. Okay, that's good. You ready? Watch this.
>> You go to a few next chapter over. You go to 2 [snorts] Samuel chapter one. And Saul is in the battle. And his son gets killed and he gets injured. Then he falls on his spear. Watch this. This is so powerful. And he's, he's on his spear, but he's not dead. He's his life is ebbing, but he's not dead. And he hears a guy behind him. He says, "Who are you?" Watch what he says. "I'm an Amalekite."
>> "I'm one of the guys you were supposed to kill and you didn't."
>> Be careful you. The stuff that you let go on in your life will be back, come back and bite on you.
>> And he tell, watch this. This, I've never heard anybody preach on this in my life, Doc. He says, "Here, come lay your sword upon me and take me out because my life is still in me, lest these Philistines abuse me." Watch what Malachi said. This is so powerful. And I perceived that he was not able to rise up after he was wounded. God help the Pentecostal movement to never be insulted or held hostage by somebody else making decisions you can't recover.
>> I don't care how bad your wound is. I don't care how many times you fall in the mud. You can get back up. God can get you to get back up. You can recover. You can recover. Don't let somebody else tell you you can't recover. I, I, I, I'm almost done. I've been knocked down. I've been kicked in the teeth spiritually. I've been thrown under the bus. In fact, I've been under the bus so long I developed a mightiest touch. Everything I touch turns to a muffler. And I've been under the bus so long and people just said, "Well, he's finished." And, and I climbed back out and said, "I'm still here." [applause]
>> Said, "You, you can't stop me. I have a mandate from God.
>> No matter how many mistakes I made, there is more grace than there is disgrace. There is more mercy than there is mistakes." [cheering]
>> Hallelujah. [applause]
>> Okay, 10 seconds. Everybody turn to your neighbor, next husband, wife, something and yell at him real loud. I'm coming out of this. [cheering]
>> That wasn't loud enough. I'm coming out of this. [cheering]
>> I'M GOING TO RECOVER. I'M GOING TO RECOVER. I'M GOING TO RECOVER. I'M [cheering] GOING TO RECOVER. IF GOD BE FOR ME, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO OR WHAT IS AGAINST ME.
>> HALLELUJAH. [cheering] I'm, I'm, I'm trying. I'm not trying to turn this into a circus, but this is exciting to me. I know I look 45. I'm 80. I'm almost 81. And I'm not on Jerome. I'm on Holy Ghost.
>> And, and I'm so excited that God is saying it just could be, Jeffrey, your greatest work is just around the corner. Amen. Hallelujah.
>> Yeah. Say, sit. Sit down. Sit. Sit down. Sit down. Sit down. Yeah. I'm trying to help you. There's a scripture. I was going to. There's nobody up on the platform. What a strange conference. Nobody's on the platform. I'll have somebody read. I had all kinds of scriptures. See, look. Had scriptures for you to read. You're not even up there like a Christian. You're not up there. You just. So, so I have to quote it. It's in Ezekiel 36. He said, "After the day that I have cleansed you from your sin and washed you,
>> he said, "Then I will restore the land and I will make the uninhabited place inhabited, and I will cause the places that were barren to now be planted." Okay? And the heathen will come by and say, "Behold, it is like the Garden of Eden." Now, watch this. Never heard anybody preach on. Next verse. "And yet for this I will be required of Israel to do it for them." Not enough to be pregnant with a promise. Israel was pregnant with promises and died outside the promised land.
>> You, you got to make that promise work. God said, "I'm going to do this, going to this, going to do this, but in order for me to do it, I'm going to make you seek me. I'm going to make you inquire for me to do it for you." What did he just say? You're going to have to pursue.
>> Because you can't possess that you don't pursue. I get a kick out of people in Pentecost that want healing and miracles and deliverance, but they sit on their backside and don't do nothing.
>> Listen, you want the supernatural, you got to stretch.
>> Right?
>> It ain't just going to fall on us. We got to turn around and say, "Does God want me to have? Can I be a part of this?" Okay. Now, I'm, I'm not one to violate the sovereignty of God. God is sovereign. He can heal who he wants and he can take who he wants. That's his business. But I'm here doing the best I can to believe and to pray for. I was just with my good friend Raymond Woodward. I was up in Canada and and I preached and if you ever preach at Brother Woodward's church, he's got an altar up there and when you get off, you need a parachute to get off there because you break your leg. I mean, you get what? And I'm preaching and I, I don't, I'm not going to be rude. Am I on TV here? I don't need to be rude. Watch. Said, I'm preaching now. When you preach to people in Canada, it's, it's a little worse than you are, but not much. When you preach to people in Canada, you're gonna preach till your underwear falls down and your socks fall down and you're sweating and they're like this. Now, I first took it, I thought they were rude and stupid. I realized, no, that's just their culture. They're taught not to interrupt the preacher. You're doing a good job. And now, here's what happened. When I finished preaching, I gave the altar call and about 400 people stormed out of the pews and came to the altar, started praying and dancing and jumping and praying people through. I said, "What kind of people is this, man?" 45 minutes, total silence, then a ballistic. Well, I'm on, I'm on the platform, Brother. I'm on the platform and I'm just walking back and forth. Praise God. Hallelujah. Thank you, Jesus. Praise God. This guy walks up to me. He said, "Brother Arnold," he said, "Would you pray for my little boy?" I said, "Well, sure. What's, what's the matter with me? His little boy's right here. He's about four years old, sharp, looked like a deacon. Had a little vest, a tie. I mean, he was sharp." I said, "What's the matter with him?" He said, "When he was born, the part of his pupil in the retina in his eye was not developed. So, it's not there. And he's totally blind in that left eye. And they cannot do anything for him. There's nothing medically they can do for him." I said, "Okay, what do you want me to do?" "Well, you preach faith and healing and miracles. Pray for my boy." So, I have no class. As you can tell already, I have no class. I just sit my rear end down on the floor. This little guy's in front of me, and I go, "Little man, if Jesus was here and you asked him to heal you, would he heal you?" That little boy went, "Yes, sir. He would."
>> I said, "Well, he is here."
>> And I said, "We're going to pray and we're going to ask God to create that eyeball for you so you could see. Would you like that?" And he said, "Yeah." I said, "Okay, now cover this eye." Which he did. And I said, "Look at your good eye and tell me how many fingers I had up." And I went. Then he said, "Three." I said, "How many?" "Two." Said, "How many?" "One." Okay. Cover the good eye. Look out the bad eye. How many? He can't see. There's no, there's no retina in his eye. He can't see. I said, "You can't see." I said, "Okay, now cover up both eyes." Now watch now. I don't, I don't want to hurt your feelings because I'm emotional. But when it comes to praying for the sick and healing, I'm not emotional. The only reason we scream is because we're, we're afraid.
>> The only reason we make all that noise is because we're not secure.
>> I can't see Jesus going, "All right now." He didn't, he didn't do that. So he put his, he put his hands over his eyes. Now put your hands over your eyes. And now watch. Here's how I prayed. Hundreds of people watching. Now Lord, I couldn't heal a headache on a dead frog. I said, "Now Lord, this little boy's got his whole life ahead of him and he believes you're a healer. I ask you to create in this eyeball, this retina, this pupil, and make him see in Jesus name." I didn't feel anything. The Baptist didn't come by in a chariot. Elijah didn't come by and say hi. Okay, take your hands out. I see. Okay. I said, "All right, I don't feel nothing." See, that's the next problem we have. We're held hostage because we feel we need to feel something. [cheering]
>> You ain't got to feel nothing. You're not the one that's sick. So, I asked him now, I said, "Put your hand over the good eye." Now, I'm standing back like this. The dad's here. And I go, "You ready? How many fingers do I have up?" And the little boy said, "Three." I said, I said, "How many do I have now?" He said, "Two." I said, "How many do I have now?" He said, "One." I said, "Dad, the Lord just gave your boy an eyeball." [cheering]
Why? He is the Lord of recovery and he takes light when people experience recovery. Whether it's joy, whether it's faith, whether it's hurt emotions, whatever it is, he wants you and I to experience recovery. I'm, I'm almost finished. I'm almost finished. Sit down. Sit down. I'm almost finished. We go out in the in the car. Now, you know Raymond Woodward, he's technology genius. I mean, he knows the, the temperature of the moon. He knows all that kind of stuff. He's, he's got all that Antichrist internet junk, you know. And, and I sit in the car and he goes, "Look at this, Brother Orland." He goes, he said, "Look at here." Because they had canceled services for 150 miles around Canada while we had that crusade. And he said, "Look at this. They just sent this, this what is it? Text message. Text message." He said, "Sent this text message." Said, "The church was watching when God healed that little boy. There was a lady sitting there who had been the organist, Brother Norris, 25 years. She got carpal tunnel syndrome and her hand turned inside and she couldn't play the organ anymore." Now, this is what he's reading to me on that little Antichrist toy he's got. Okay, now watch. He turns around. He said, he says, says, "And when the lady saw God heal the little boy, she said, 'Call the preacher over here. Get some of them folks over here. Lay hands on me. God's no respecter of persons.' And the email says while they prayed, it went like this. [applause]
>> This doesn't happen on NBC.
>> [applause]
>> I'm waiting to recover.
>> Okay, just hold on.
>> Waiting to recover. [laughter] Anyway, [cheering]
>> her hand went straight and she went up and played the organ for the altar call. [cheering] [cheering] [applause]
Okay, look.
>> I can't take you any further. I have proved to you that the Bible is the history record of recoveries.
>> I have shown to you that Jesus is the Lord of recovery.
>> You do not have to have great faith. You can have damaged faith. You can have little faith. Remember when, remember when Jesus come down the mount of transfiguration and they had those guys over there trying to cast the devil out of the boy and they couldn't do it. That father's faith was damaged.
>> And he turned around he says, "If you could do anything, help us."
>> And, and Jesus said, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believeth." Watch what he said. "I believe, help my unbelief."
>> [applause]
>> And Jesus healed him instantly.
>> Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
>> Now, I, I'm sorry. I've lost my PA here. I just, you got to hear me. I've tried to hook on to this precious man's wonderful message. And I'm not trying to be rude, but I think you missed the depth and the magnitude of what he was saying, but God has put me to hitch to that one and say, "Okay, now look, we're going into this new year. We need to start asking God to experience recovery in our life. Maybe your prayer life has dropped down. Maybe your financial, uh, giving has diminished. Maybe you're not as loyal to your church services as you need to be. Whatever it might be, right now, you need to ask God, "Lord, what do you want me to pursue?" Because you cannot possess what you will not pursue.
>> And you will never pursue until you're persuaded it's available.
>> I got to prove my point to you. Okay. Is there anybody here besides me that you were born again of the water of the spirit?
>> Yes.
>> You've experienced recovery.
>> No, I asked the Lord praying yesterday and praying today in a motel. I don't know what we're going to do.
>> All I know is, and I don't mean to be rude. We got one now. Oh, we got it. Okay. Just stand recovery. Just, just let me say this to the, you people up here in Hartford and Northeast. Listen to me. I, and I, I'm not trying to be rude. UPC is my home. I don't plan on going anywhere, but just because it's my home does not mean there are things that need to be changed or corrected or improved. We need now to start validating and demonstrating the doctrines we say were so powerful.
>> We need to ask God to back up his word.
>> What, what kind of churches would we have if we preached the baptism of the Holy Ghost, but nobody ever got the Holy Ghost? We preach the essentiality of repentance, but nobody ever repented. We expect that, but for some reason, we just got this thing that we're afraid. Well, what happens if it doesn't work?
>> You ain't going to know until you try.
>> I pray for people all the time. I pray for people in restaurants, in coffee shops. I pray for people all the time. What? Yeah, you're going to get insulted because I pray for you. What are you crazy?
>> I said people, we're what he just said, the wonderful what he said. Our nation is a cesspool of mistakes and mess. We are in a big trouble as a nation. We need to recover godliness >> and divine desperation. We need to recover. These signs shall follow them that believe.
>> They shall lay hands on the sick, and the sick shall.
>> So I, I got no way to to do an altar call. There's 2,000 people in this building. But if, but I tell you what, we can do it real easy. If you are in pain right now, pain, and you believe that if Jesus was here, and you came up and said, "Mr. Jesus,
>> my shoulders killing me. My knees hurt me. My kidney problem, whatever it is, if I used to be a betting man. I'm not a betting man anymore, but if I was a betting man, I bet you $10,000 to $5, you can't find one scripture where anybody came up and asked Jesus for healing and he said no. Or the other stupid thing, oh, you're learning so much about the love of God, so I'm just going to let your pancreas fall out in the street, but you learn about the love of God. Give me a break. The Holy Ghost is given to us, so we learn about the love of God. The Bible said, "The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost."
>> Now, I know I've, I've got, I'm sorry, Bishop. I, I know I got you nervous right now. I'm not, I'm not, I'm the guy that's in the hot spot. But if, but if you're in pain right now and and you believe that if Jesus would to pass by or Jesus would move on your aisle that he would be loving and gracious and kind enough. You know that's a great word, gracious. You need to teach on that. The word gracious here's what it means. Dispose to show favors. That's what happened with Hezekiah. He had a divine edict from God. You're going to die and not live. Watch. He turns his face to the wall. He cries. He, Isaiah says, "Take a lump of figs and put on the boil and he shall recover." Here's the scripture. Ready? "And the Lord was ready to save me." You're never going to find God reluctant to help you.
>> He is always ready to save you, to deliver you. So right now if, if you are in some kind of discomfort or pain, if you have enough courage, throw your hands up and just say, "Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief. Cause this pain to come on. Cause this pain to leave my body right now. Cause this pain to disappear in my body right now. You don't need some preacher to lay hands on you. You can believe." That's why Paul wrote twice and said, "I pray, Brother Pataski, Paul said twice, I pray that the life of Jesus would be made manifest in your mortal body." Man, if you can get the life of Jesus to manifest in your body, cancer's got to go. Diabetes has got to go. High blood pressure's got to go. Cholesterol problems got to go. Come on, let's, let's pray. Life of Jesus. Touch my body. Touch my body. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Come on. Come on. Come on. You want a recovery? He's the Lord of recovery. Come on. You can recover from bad thoughts. You can recover from lust. You can recover from impure things. You can recover from doubt and disappointment and fear and anxiety and worry. Come on. We getting the, we getting the music people up here now. Are you coming up here to sing? No. Come on. Come on. Apparently, people can't do nothing unless you sing. Okay, fine. I just feel like laying hands on somebody right now. [music] I'll lay hands on him. What do we got? Pain, sickness, disease.
>> Father in the name of Jesus.
>> [music]
>> Thanks. I forgot. [music]
>> Father, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, [music] I take authority and dominion. Take over these eyes right now. Lord, I call for this burden to be
