You used to spend a considerable amount of time entertaining people. They used to call you to tell you their issues, their problems, their drama, just all the things. And now, in this season, it's like you kind of just don't want to hear it anymore. You don't want to feed into it. So now you're looking at your phone; the calls have dried up; you're not hearing from those people so often, and you're trying to figure out like, man, okay, what happened?
But I don't want you to look at that as a negative because, in this season of your life, you're elevating. You're moving forward, and you don't have time to sit and entertain foolishness, and you're in a different season. And so I want to talk today a little bit about why your phone might be running dry, why people aren't calling you anymore, and the type of time you're on and the level that you're moving to in your life. You are no longer allowing people to drain your energy. You're not doing it. You are literally no longer allowing people to drain your energy.
You used to spend so much time on the phone, so much time listening to people and their issues and their problems, and it's just like you realize in your life like they are stealing your energy. Have you ever had a person call you and all they do is talk about them? They don't even ask you what you got going on, you know, how your life is doing. All they do is talk about them, and you're like, "Man, listen. I do care about you. You know, I love you," if they're your friend and y'all are close, but at the end of the day, it's like, no, that's not fair because there's more to life than just their problems. And so, you are at a season and a point in your life where you're done listening to it.
And it gets really draining and frustrating sitting on a phone call listening to a person, and all they do is talk about themselves and talk about what they got going on and just dump their problems on you, for what? And so you let them know that that's not the type of time you're on anymore. And your energy is showing. And I'mma tell you something, family. Energy doesn't lie. They can feel it. And they can feel that you no longer want to entertain that foolishness. So now they want to call you less. Now they want to contact you less and talk to you less because you're not giving them what they wanted. You're not giving them what you're not their listening ear anymore. You're not listening to all the foolishness. You're not doing it. The calls have dried up. But you're okay with that.
And another reason no one's calling you, family, the favors that they're asking you for, the money that they're asking you for—you're fresh out of money and favors. You are fresh out of money and favors in this season, yet you're not doing it anymore. And I think it's so frustrating when you have people in your lives and they can't even see beyond themselves. It's like, do they ever think about you? Do they ever consider that the money they're asking you for that like you literally actually had to work hard for it? And sometimes when they ask you for money, they don't even pay you back. They say, "Oh, I'm going to pay you back in so and so weeks or in so and so days." And then they don't contact you. You don't hear from them. And they know good and well they owe you money, but they just don't contact you. You're done with that. You're—you don't have any more money to give to anybody else. You don't have any more favors. There's nothing in this season that you have to give cuz right now you are elevating. You are working on you. You are becoming a better person.
And I learned too, family, in my own life that no is a complete sentence. No. No. It doesn't take anything to come before it. It doesn't take anything to come after it. No is a complete sentence. And you're learning in this season to say no. Thank you. But no, thank you. No. No, thank you. I'll wait. No, I'm good. Thanks. Right. No is a complete sentence. So when these individuals were calling you, waiting on the money, waiting on the favors, they were so used to the things that you used to do for them in the past because you was always there. You were always giving them money, always bailing them out of things that needed to be bailed out of, always doing for them. And you got to the point where you are done. You're done doing favors and you're done giving money when you know good and well those people may not even pay you back the money that they owe you, which now creates even more problems, and that's why your phone has run dry because you are not giving them what they want.
And another reason, family, why your phone has run dry is because you are literally done listening to the gossip. You're done with it. Yo, when people are calling you talking about other people, trust and know that they're doing the same thing to you, and that they would do the same thing to you. You don't have the energy or the time to listen to other people's problems and try to figure out their problems. You have your own. You don't have time to listen to the drama and the gossip that these other people are dealing and carrying because you don't have time for that. You don't. And so now when people realize they're calling you and you're not listening to the foolishness, you have nothing to say, you have no comments, they're like, "Oh, this is different. This is weird." So they're no longer calling you because, family, you're in a season like, "Yo, I'm good on hearing about other people. I don't really care about celebrity gossip. I don't really care about what so and so has going on." You are focused on you. You are focused on elevating, and you are focused on winning. You have no time to entertain yourself and to care about the drama and the issues what people got going on. All you can do is pray for them and move on with your life.
And I think it's so uncomfortable, too, when we're sitting here listening to gossip about people and they're not even present. They can't defend themselves. We don't know if what we're listening to is facts or true. So, it just makes no sense to entertain it for what—what is—what is knowing other people's business going to do for you if it doesn't directly relate to you? What's—what's the purpose of it? And there's no point of it. So, you're done, family. So, now the calls have dried up. Now, people not hitting your phone up anymore because they know that you don't want to sit and listen to that gossip any longer.
And I want you to know, family, your time is so precious. Your time is precious. You are not going to spend another day and waste your time on foolishness. You're not spending another day siphoning off your energy listening to foolishness. These people are not calling you anymore because, in their minds, there's nothing you can do for them. In their minds, you don't want to hear drama. You don't want to talk about other people. You ain't got no money to lend them. There is no favors that you can do for them. So, in their mind, they're like, "Okay, I'm good. What do I need to call them for?" Cuz they were probably only calling you because they needed something anyway. Because a true friend, someone who truly loves you and someone who truly cares about you, they call you for more than when they need something. They want to know how you're doing. They care about what you got going on. They're asking you questions to better you. They really, really want to support you. They are support, not surveillance. They're not looking at your life spying on you, waiting for something to happen so they can go run tell that, waiting for something bad to happen to you so they can act like they care, but they're happy. No, you want true friends in your life, real people and loyal ones in your inner circle.
So now that your phone has dried up, I don't want you to think that that's necessarily a bad thing. Just trust and know that you are removing the squares about out your circle and you don't need that energy anyway. And overall, family, in conclusion, I really want you to know that your phone has run dry because you've established a boundary. A boundary that you are no longer letting people cross. You have draw the—you've drawn the line, and they cannot cross it. And you're serious about it. You're serious about self-improvement, becoming a better person, and you're done with the gossip and the drama. And you're done entertaining foolishness and entertaining lack because you're better than it. So, when you're looking at your phone and you see they're not hitting you, when you're looking at your phone and you don't see a text, try not to take it personal because, at the end of the day, you're just moving up in life and elevating and all the things that don't need to be a part of you are being done away with. All the things that no longer need to be in your inner circle are falling back and falling away, and you are elevating, elevating to higher heights. It's cool that your phone is ran dry because you will attract the right people, the right individuals in your life that are going to care about you, support you, and love you, and actually want to know what you got going on, not just always dump on you, their problems, their issues. They're going to really care about what you have going on in your life. And they're going to want to be a true and real friend to you, and you're going to know it. Just something to think about. It's cool that your phone ran dry. You didn't need to speak to those individuals anyway. Stay inspired.
