Has a streaming device company that you been using been prohibiting what you can install on the box that you paid hard-earned money for? Well, in today's video, I'm going to cover the Yoka TV IPX3 and you can gain control of the content you want on the device that you paid for.

Hello everyone and welcome back to ORL. Today, we've got something a little bit different for you. We're not coming to you with a loaded streaming box. We're coming to you with the Yoka TV IPX3 and this box actually promises a lot of not only high performance, but it also allows you to install, well, the apps that you want to install and the content you want to have because after all, you paid for the box and no company's going to tell you how you should do things. The way it should be.
We're going to do a simple tour of the box and all the promises that it makes. So, we're going to do an unboxing. After that, we're going to hook this up to the TV. We're going to share with you our experience >> [music] >> and come back with our final thoughts.
Now, starting right off the bat, this is an Android box. It has an HDMI cable. It also has a user's manual, a Bluetooth remote control, [music] as well as a power adapter. On the side, its bragging points are that it's Android 14. It is Wi-Fi 6. Runs both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, [music] depending on your router. Also has a LAN port and it has voice assistance, [music] which I like seeing.
On the back here, let's see what we've got. We've got 4 GB of RAM, capable of adding an additional 64 GB of storage. It is also got that >> [music] >> USB-C power cable. We like to see that. 4K Ultra HD. No ridiculous claims of 6K, 8K, 12K. They keep it it real with the 4K. I like seeing that. HDR 10 Plus. It also has the Yoka TV app store [music] and over-the-air updates, which if it's on this channel, you know it does. Uh and it has, let's see, a backlight for the remote, mouse mode on the remote, as well as the voice assistant we mentioned earlier, software upgradeable and it also has find my remote. Pretty interesting. [music]
Uh I've dealt with the IPX1 and I got to say the IPX1 was a great box. Did [music] very well for us. The IPX3 offers just a little more goodies uh according to Yoka TV. So, let's get this opened up and see what we're dealing with.
First things we [music] notice is the Yoka TV box, the IPX3. Very similar in size [music] and style to the IPX1. Uh very 3 and 1/2 by 3 and 1/2 size, roughly. On the back, we have a power reset button, a LAN [music] port, HDMI cable, and optical out, as well as that USB-C power port, which is a lot better than previous boxes we've dealt with on this channel that has nothing but barrel plugs. We have a nice secure foam ring that keeps it intact, making sure it makes it to your door in one piece. And uh let's see what else we've got.
Inside the box, we have the IPX3. >> [music] >> Well, it's a user manual. Uh it is a thicker one than what we normally get with these boxes. It's going to cover your basic setup, basic troubleshooting, uh all the stuff that we'll pretty much cover in this video. So, I like seeing those come in there.
This has the Yoka TV remote with all those features that we talked about. The voice assistance, the Bluetooth, mouse mode, and [music] a find my remote feature. Pretty cool. It does take two AAA batteries, but I know what you're thinking. You're thinking Bob's going to go off on his rant about batteries. But no, my friends, they have >> [music] >> included the batteries here. Two AAA batteries in the box. Really nice touch, Yoka TV, and I like seeing that because that means [music] that you pay attention to our channel and I like that. Uh that does have the USB-C power supply, as well as an [music] HDMI cable.
And something's a little different. Uh I don't know how I feel about it, if it's needed or not, but it comes with a silicone sleeve and a little lanyard. Uh so, [music] you can keep this close by. It does remind me of a Nintendo Wii. A little bluh thing here to hook up to your remote. Maybe a little gimmicky, but it's nice. And somewhere, there's a dog that approves to this message. [music]
Now, we're going to hook this up to the TV. We're going to run you through the paces and we'll come back with our final thoughts.
All right, this is the Yoka TV IPX3. We're going to give you a quick brief tour and overview of this box and see what we're able to do. All right, first thing you're going to need to do is we're going to need to pair the remote. >> [music] >> We're going to do the okay and volume down button and just hold that closer to the device. Scanning now >> [music] >> and connecting and boom, we're connected.
And we're going to set up here standard stuff. We're going to set up the language, English for United States. We'll just do the automatic resolution. This is fine [music] for our purposes. This here, you're going to set up your screen display. You scale it. Usually, we find 100% is about the sweet spot. [music] Just want to make sure all these arrows are in each one of the corners. Click okay and then we can set up our date format. [music] Uh for the purposes of this demo, we'll just take the first one, 12 hours.
We're going to set up ours on a wireless network. As you can see, it's already started scanning. We're going to find our network and we're going to put in our password. And then just hit okay once you have that in there. It's going to do its connecting. And that should automatically just advance us to the next screen. As you see, it is connected. And we're going to set our time zone. For us, we're going to be on Eastern Time. And then we can [music] pick which one we want for a launch. We will stick with the default, which is the IPTV launcher. And here you go. This is uh basically, here's your home screen. >> [music] >> This is where everything is going to kind of live, wherever you decide to put on here and additionally.
But uh it does have over-the-air updates, so you can do this online >> [music] >> and it will tell you your current version versus the newest version. You can go ahead and update that, should you [music] desire to do so. And we always recommend doing the newest update. And here, it will also shows you here a little red dot to let you know that one is >> [music] >> in the works. And then you also have your wallpaper settings, so you can change your wallpaper. They do have some preloaded stuff here, should you like a nice couple [music] scenes. Uh we'll use this one here for now. And uh let's go back up [music] here and see what we have.
You have Google Play Store, Netflix, YouTube, and the Yoka TV remote [music] app. And this here is where you're going to go in and you can add your devices to it. And set up your buttons and kind of customize a little more as to the way you want your [music] setup to be.
And app store is going to bring up the Yoka TV app store. And you'll see here that it has some standard [music] fare stuff. Again, Netflix, IPTV. It has Evo Media. Uh there's also a VPN [music] app, a DNS server, AnyDesk, ad control, and a whole bunch of other little stuff. [music] Smart Tube and stuff of that nature. Yoka online 2 is uh a whole bunch of other stuff here for online content. But really, what you decide to do with this box [music] is up to you because they don't restrict you. That's the beauty of the Yoka TV >> [music] >> is that it is literally TV your way.
And there looks like it has a update here for the app. So, we'll go ahead and do that. Only takes a couple of seconds. You're going to get a [music] standard disclaimer when you launch it for the first time and then you have your choice of how you want this to look. Do you want it to look like Android or Linux? >> [music] >> You can go ahead and do this here. And you would just set it up the way you want it [music] for your setup, which is really good. And again, this is not a preloaded box, so you're going to have to do your own stuff. But really, uh it is all about performance and setup. >> [music] >> And uh that is a good thing to be able to customize a box the way you want without corporate overlords telling you how to do things.
But we'll uh just check out [music] just some standard fare stuff. It has all your Android basic stuff that you've come to expect. You know, your network settings, stuff like that, system information, and everything else. And we're going to bounce out of this. We'll give you our final thoughts in just a moment.
And we're back. And let me give you my thoughts on the Yoka TV. All in all, I got to say, from the box >> [music] >> to the remote in hand, everything works the way it should. And I got to say also that having the ability to install the [music] apps that I want to install versus some corporate giant blocking me, and yes, I'm talking directly at you, Fire Stick, >> [music] >> is a great thing to see in the industry because too many people have spent too much money on devices only to be told by a giant corporation of what they can and cannot install [music] on their own devices.
Yoka TV keeping it real and doing what the people want them to do [music] by providing things such as the batteries for the remote. And as silly as I think these things are, it is something that will protect that remote, so you don't have to worry about it. And no, I'm not going to do that bluh bluh thing again. But uh all in all, very solid experience from Yoka TV. Just as I expected from dealing with previous incarnations of the IPX1, [music] this here performed flashy and quick. I love it. Absolutely highly recommend if you're looking for a streaming [music] device, pick up and check out the Yoka TV IPX3.
