And now, apropos of what the congressman said defending the American worker. That's the focus of tonight's angle. My reaction to our interview with President Trump was overwhelming.
Ingram got to ask President Trump about these comments. Laur Ingram aired her interview from a couple of days ago, and they kind of clashed a little. Getting a shot also from Donald Trump, who was on Laura Ingram's show on Fox News Channel. Ingram correctly noted exit polling from last week's elections showed that voters say economic issues are their top concern. His reaction to Laura Ingram shows that they won't stop trying.
Affordability. It is a concern on the left and the right. And Laura Ingram asked Mr. Trump about it.
Okay. Well, I didn't want it to be about me. I went about the issues, but you get the point. For two days, commentators, pundits, Trump fans, Trump haters found something interesting or provocative or maddening or encouraging in what the president said. It was about him. It wasn't about me. And that's the way it should be because for the past decade, Donald Trump has dominated politics worldwide. Frankly, he's defied his critics. He's demoralized his opponents. And he's delighted his supporters.
Now, remember, 99.99% of politicians would have quietly retired after 2020. But Trump refused to quit because he's not a quitter. That's not who he is. So I found him in this interview more confident, more relaxed, and frankly, a lot more optimistic about his America's future than I've ever heard him before. So, for the first time in history today, the Dow hit 48,000. Well, wait. I thought Trump's tariffs were supposed to tank the equities markets. Come on. But through all the free market globalist caterwauling, he's never wavered from his belief that without tariffs, American workers, American industry, our entire economy would be toast. And I wholeheartedly agree.
But there were flashpoints in the interview as well, and that got a lot of buzz. A few areas where we couldn't agree and where his most diehard supporters have a lot more questions, such as the issue of H1B visas. Now, the president made the point that there are situations where the US may need to bring in talented people from other countries to train Americans for highly technical work that was outsourced decades ago. Conversely, the base believes we have plenty of talent here now and that importing hundreds of thousands of cheap foreign workers only discourages, especially young Americans, from going into those professions, engineering and other technical positions.
Earlier today, the Secretary of the Treasury added some more context. The president's point here is we can't snap our fingers and say you're going to learn how to build ships overnight. We want to bring the semiconductor industry back to the US. The president's vision here is to bring in overseas workers where these jobs went, who have skills, who have the skills three, five, seven years to train the US workers. Then they can go home, the US workers fully take over.
Well, that certainly seems more reasonable. But again, five years, seven years, three years of training, it seemed like a lot. And if the visas were very limited and only for exceedingly skilled work, I guess that would be one thing. But in the tech world, there's a dirty little secret. American companies love laying off Americans for foreigners who will work for 40 to 50% of the wages in some cases. So, why did Microsoft need 5,000 H1B workers in the fiscal year 2025 when around the same time it announced it would be laying off a total of 15,000 workers? And why did Intel need 1,700 H1B workers in 2025 when it announced that it was canning 2,400 American workers in Oregon back in July? Then, most infamous of all, the curious case of Amazon, which is nixing as many as 30,000 jobs across its corporate and tech sector, but is also the largest US recipient of H1B visas. And by the way, it wants a lot more.
And by the way, going back to 2017, Trump has been leading on this issue. Widespread abuse in our immigration system is allowing American workers of all backgrounds to be replaced by workers brought in from other countries to fill the same job for sometimes less pay. This will stop. That includes taking the first steps to set in motion a long overdue reform of H1B visas. They should be given to the most skilled and highest paid applicants, and they should never, ever be used to replace Americans.
Well, that's the clarity and conviction that got him elected twice. And let's face it, no one in elected office during the past, I don't know, 50 years has been a better champion for the American worker than Donald Trump. It's not even close. Period. Full stop. And I fully expect he will honor that distinction for the next three years.
But there was also more consternation over the approach to allowing Chinese and other foreign students to take spots at US universities. A lot of MAGA folks didn't like that at all. And it's not, by the way, as some, you know, Chinese influencers today said on X, "I love this." It's not that the MAGA folks, certainly not myself, dislike the Chinese people. It's ridiculous. What they dislike is the Chinese system that represses Chinese people and uses them as human spies and saboteurs. Remember, when the CCP greenlights hundreds of thousands of their people to come study here, they're not sending them so they can learn about the wonders of Western civilization, Plato and Socrates, Greek history, become champions of individual freedom, and take that message back home. Come on. They're sent here to do whatever is necessary to learn how to push the People's Republic closer to crushing America, to stealing from us, and for spying on us.
But again, for those of us understandably perplexed by some of, uh, the president's comments, we cannot forget what American president has ever been tougher on China than Donald Trump. None. Now, given China's growing strength that's been amassed over decades of presidents who were out to lunch, President Trump inherited the most challenging situation, I think I, I don't think it's an exaggeration to say this, that any president has faced in the last 50 years. He and his entire team are dedicated to countering the Chinese aggression that's building. And we see it in the way they're positioning their naval fleet off of Taiwan. We see it in the way that they're amassing, obviously, their rare earths and so forth. And so we're trying to counter that so we can remain independent and not become a puppet state of the CCP. And of course, at the same time, Donald Trump's trying to balance everything. He's trying to keep the peace and not, in his view, unnecessarily offend Beijing when we still have so many balls in the air.
A better question tonight, perhaps, is to ask this: Where is Capitol Hill on this? I know that they've held some hearings on H-1B visas. I get that. And they have the China, um, you know, caucus and they've put out some really good reports, but it seems to a lot of Americans that it's only Trump and only his cabinet trying to figure out things like the rare earth problem. We squandered our advantage there. They're the only ones trying to really figure out how can we develop our own ability to make magnets again so we don't have to be dependent on a communist regime. Our ability to defend our interests where our military is a fighting force, not just a social justice club. Trump people did that, not Capitol Hill.
So, no one watching should forget any of this. Most on Capitol Hill, most on Wall Street, most in the tech world believe that we should have an unlimited number of foreign workers available to us in the United States. And many of those same people actually prefer foreign students to American students. That is a sad fact. So when you hear people dumping on this administration from the right, remember Democrats believe you should get zero benefits from your American citizenship. Zero.
Meanwhile, as we sit in our warm studios, and that's where I am, the president's trying to re-industrialize, only the entire United States of America. That's all. And if you think Mom Donnie or the Squad, oh, they're going to stand up for you in their workers' garb and they're going to, you know, in their shirt sleeves get it all done. Maybe some of these mouthy new socialist primary candidates, they're going to get it done for you. Well, you haven't been listening to them. If you're a native-born American who grew up in something approaching a traditional household, they pity you at best and they loathe you at worst.
So, there's always going to be disagreements on strategy and approach, and everybody should have their say, but to the more than 77 million Americans who voted for President Trump, don't flinch. No one's better at politics than he is. And in the end, he's a pragmatist and a populist. He's not a globalist, and he's not a sellout. And that's the angle.

The House just voted to end the government shutdown, and President Trump is set to sign the bill later, and it's going to be official within the next hour, which means Chuck the Palestinian better pray to Allah because the cross-legged Messiah is about to strike him down with lightning. Barack's disciples are storming the capital and want Chuck's head on a silver platter. The Obama Pod Bros are accusing Schumer of a shutdown cover-up. Chuck Schumer is, uh, Tim Robinson in the hot dog costume saying, like, we're all trying to figure out who did who did this. He voted against the bill. Sure. But I think he orchestrated it with senators he knew were going to retire who weren't up. And I just, I don't believe this spin for a second.
Wow. The Obama boys say Chuck-E-Cheese orchestrated the cave job, and now Schumer's gone into hiding. Did you give them tacit permission, but you're afraid to tell the public that? Or do you genuinely have no control over what the members of your caucus do? Now, I think it is likely the former, which means I not just tell the truth. Schumer lost control of his party the same way Biden did. Remember, Barack sent his pod bros out to start the Biden coup. So, this is déjà vu. Obama even has his cross-legged disciple getting in on the beatdown all the way from the Brazilian rainforest. I'm not pleased that in the face of this invasive species that is Donald Trump, who's completely changed the rules of the game, that we're still playing by the old rules of the game. The Obama wing is throwing Chuck to the wolves. NY's got one high heel out the door. The auto pen's retired to Delaware. Without Barry's protection, the commies are about to feast. AOC licking her chops.
There's no one vote that ended this shutdown. We are talking about a coordinated effort of eight senators with the knowledge of leader Schumer voting to break with the entire Democratic party in exchange for nothing. Cortez just accused the most powerful Democrat in Washington of being a sneaky little rhymes with itch. This would never happen between Nancy and Chuck. But Hips has lost control. He can't control his caucus, and Chuck can't control his. Now the squad's throwing around the B-word.
I think people understand what a betrayal this is to not be able to go back with a victory. Do you think the Senate Democrats need a new leader? Uh, yes, I do, but that's not in my hands. So that's up to them. Chuck went from hero to zero. A couple weeks ago, he sounded like John Gotti. Donald Trump and the Republican party are hellbent on taking healthcare away from 60 million people. The Democrats have three words for this: No way. It's literally life or death. Chuck went from "no effing way" to "yeah, whatever." If you're going to talk like that, you better back it up. Ask anybody. Someone runs their mouth and then gets on the court and gets put on a poster, you got to leave the gym forever. The spineless senators losing support from all sides. Even Biden World is giving him the hook. That guy was fiery. There was ominous music. He swore. I mean, there was a lot in that video. What happened to that guy? It was fake, Jen. You didn't know that was fake? When a 74-year-old Jewish senator suddenly starts cursing like a sailor, it's an act to save his backside from the left. Karma's a, ain't it? Schumer helped coup Joe, and now it's his turn. With Chuck already bruised and busted, Barry, Biden, and the Bolevixs are pummeling him till the bell rings.
If you're the leader, like you're supposed to be able to keep the caucus together on something like this, that's sort of that's sort of a a test of of leadership. And, um, you know, I don't think he has that kind of support right now. And I definitely don't think we should have Chuck Schumer, um, in if '27 rolls around and we somehow have the Senate. They're not even waiting for AOC to run against him. The Chicago boys want Schumer demoted. That means leave your big fancy office now. You can't be minority leader anymore if you can't lead. Barack thought one coup would work, and now he's realizing they all have to go. But just like Joe Biden, the longer Schumer holds out, the worse it gets. The lesbians have left the building.
I'm done. I'm done. I am your base. I have voted for Democrats for 40 years. I am a lesbian with a black disabled non-binary child, and I worked in an abortion clinic. I am your base, and I'm done. A lesbian with a black disabled trans baby, and she works in an abortion shop. If you've lost her, it is over. Democrats are reliving the Biden nightmare. Now, the media is asking, "Do you have confidence in Chuck Schumer's leadership?"
Do you have confidence in Schumer's leadership? Yes, I do. I voted for him. He's a good leader. And the notion that that Chuck Schumer should be able to control or corral Senate Democrats is sort of laughable. I don't need his permission to do what's right for Virginia. Schumer has managed to do the impossible. He's lost clout in the Senate, and he's lost his base. Now the traitorous eight is in the crosshairs. The so-called nipple Nazis calling for regime change.
The Democratic party at the leadership level has really just become entirely feckless. It is the fact that it is just an element of leadership that is in control of the party at this moment in history that is failing to do any of those things. And we got to get rid of them. They have to go. You know who agrees with the so-called nipple Nazi? The congresswoman from Queens who was told by Nancy Pelosi years ago not to make mischief inside the tent. But NY's out of commish. So AOC put the word out to every Bolshevik in America. Run, Forest, run.
This problem is bigger than one person. And it actually is bigger than than the minority leader in the Senate. We actually do have Senate elections this year. And my hope is that people across this country actually participate in their primary elections in selecting their leadership. The commies want to wave a hammer and sickle in every district. Bernie said it. 40 senators are just too moderate. He wants them primaried and gone. Same thing in the House. Jerry Nadler has soiled his last trouser and isn't running for reelection. So JFK's grandson wants a seat. And, uh, let's just say he's not giving Cam a lot.

He's 32, and his only real job was working for Vogue. He's as qualified as Mandami, so why not? This is what the Democrat party's turning into. Jasmine Crockett is actually what the Democrats should be leaning into, like, because she is a phenomenal messenger, and some people just got it. Like, some people just have a different anointing on them. She is the most effective messenger that the Democratic party has right now, and they need to be using her as a Trojan horse. I don't think Charlemagne knows what a Trojan horse is. Crockett's supposed to jump out of the Trojan horse, not be one. Anyway, but Trader Kane's putting lipstick on a pig.
It doesn't seem like some of the parties just angry about this. It seems like this is ripping the party apart at a time where it felt like the party was coming back together post-elections. Can I just say ripping the party apart? I think you're over-dramatizing this. I mean, I know the news business is to try to make everything like the biggest crisis. Did Kane just say a woman was being dramatic? Careful, buddy. You're already on thin ice. Hips isn't calling it a crisis either. He says the shutdown was a win.
Over the last several weeks, we have elevated successfully the issue of the Republican healthcare crisis, and we're not backing away from it. If this was a win, why does everybody want Schumer's head to roll? Democrats are in such a free-for-all. All they could do to distract from the Schumer shutdown cover-up is leak Epstein emails that they're going to force a vote to release everything the government has on Jeffrey Epstein. We need to respect tribal sovereignty in our environment. We need to stand up for LGBTQ+ rights because that's what the American people expect us to do. Fight for them. That is why I will sign the discharge petition right now to release the Epstein files.
Democrats are fighting harder for the Epstein files than they did to pay the troops. And the House just got their hands on about 20,000 Epstein emails. And what's the first thing Democrats did when they woke up? They leaked three. Just three out of 20,000. And it backfired. Did the president ever spend hours at Jeffrey Epstein's house with a victim? Uh, these emails prove absolutely nothing other than the fact that President Trump did nothing wrong. I think it's a question worth asking the Democrat party, and you should all go ask them after this briefing, of why they chose to redact the name of a victim who has already made public statements about her relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and is unfortunately no longer with us.
That's right. Democrats redacted a woman's name and called her victim, but the victim's dead. Her name is Virginia, and she already testified under oath that Trump did nothing wrong. What a sleazy leak. While they're shutting down the government to give illegal aliens healthcare, they're all getting paid. They're all allowed to insider trade. These are the kinds of swampy tactics that make us lose all respect for these freaks. They create a crisis so no one gets paid, people can't eat, and no one can fly. And now they're like, "H, here's a fake Epstein email." What a joke.
You know, the Democratic Party socialist corps is ready to make Chuck walk the plank. Mark my words, it is officially pretty much over for poor Chucky Schumer. His days as Senate leader, they are definitely numbered. Also tonight, we will be joined by our FBI director, Cash Patel, cleaning up the swamp and taking a sledgehammer to America's enemies. We have a lot to discuss in just a few minutes. And yep, the Democrat that literally kissed Jasmine Crockett's feet. But later, uh, also shocking video from San Francisco, a light rail driver appearing to fall asleep at the wheel at a high rate of speed, leading to a very scary, very dangerous situation for passengers. Uh, but first, thanks to the Republican party, President Trump, and a tiny handful of Senate Democrats, uh, the shutdown ends tonight. In exchange, Democrats got a whole lot of nothing except well, hurt feelings and a lot of finger-pointing and a lot of anger amongst themselves. In fact, the thought leader of the Democratic party, which we all know is, uh, Congresswoman, uh, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, she's now seething with rage. Take a look.
I think it's important that we understand that this is not just about Senator Schumer, but that this is about the Democratic party. Uh, Senator Schumer. There's no one vote that ended this shutdown. How much longer were they going to allow chaos at our nation's airports? How much longer would they ask hardworking employees, ICE agents, to work for free? And as for her thoughts about Schumer, who orchestrated this entire political stunt, uh, let's just say she's not exactly rushing to his defense. Take a look. Congress Chuck Schumer stay as minority leader.
I think what is so important for folks to understand is that this problem is bigger than one person and it actually is bigger than than the minority leader. And I think what's important is that we understand that this is actually this is not just the a leader is reflected is a is a reflection of the party and Senate Democrats have selected their leadership to represent them. And so the question needs to be bigger than just one person. All right. And she's also said, "Well, time for the old guard to go." In other words, AOC blaming Schumer and the rest of that old guard. Uh, no room, uh, for bipartisanship in the new radical Democratic Socialist Party. If you look on social media, if you listen to most of the Democratic lawmakers, they were all dead set on keeping this shutdown going indefinitely, no matter, you know, who is facing hardship, and that was impacting millions of Americans. Now, the party of compassion, the Democratic party, that's what they tell us. The party of hardworking men and women that didn't vote for no tax on tips, overtime, Social Security, or the largest tax cut in history. They wanted to use leverage. They wanted their demands met. Uh, and they wanted above all else not to, you know, uh, not to in any way give the president a win. Is that what it was about? Ego? Because you didn't win anything. Now, I warn you, this is a preview of coming attractions. This is your modern Democratic party. Hakee Jeff has yet to see the writing on the wall. He's proud of the Democrats, the performative shutdown. He's ready to receive his participation trophy. Take a look.
What do you think, Leader Jeff? Do you agree with Ro Khanna? Do you think Schumer should be replaced? Uh, Leader Schumer, uh, did not bless this agreement. He voted against it. Uh, and of course, Senate Democrats who voted no have made that clear. And what we've seen from Senate Democrats over the last, uh, 7 weeks has been part of a valiant fight that we have waged together.
All right, to recap, Democrats block poor American families from receiving food stamps. They cut off paychecks to FAA employees. They caused thousands and thousands of flight delays and cancellations. Federal law enforcement officials, other government workers also went without pay. Democrats even tried to prevent our troops from getting paychecks. If not for President Trump, if not for the generosity of one billionaire, their pay would have been totally cut off. And for what? Nothing. The world record for government shutdowns, the longest ever. Okay, you can put that in the Guinness Book of World Records, but according to several Democrats, it was all totally worth it. Really? Take a look.
Is the shutdown worth it? Yeah, I think so. I hate it, but yeah, it was worth it. Definitely. We got people to pay attention to the fact that this is a traumatic, in many cases, life or death situation for people all over this country. Was the shutdown worth it? Uh, I think it was because I think the perception, we made it clear that this not just the healthcare issue, but the whole issue. It was their bill. They put in the plan for it to expire. It was supposed to be temporary. And if it's the Affordable Care Act, why do you need government subsidies to begin with? You're looking at a rift between Democrats who want to make life basically hell temporarily for their political stunts versus people that want to burn it all down in the Democratic party. Make life hell permanently through government socialism. Pick your poison. Now, thankfully, President Trump is your president. Republicans maintain small majorities in the House and Senate, but without 60 votes, sadly, there is only so much that the GOP can get done. Hey, Sean Hannity here.
