AI can be much more than a personal assistant. And in today's video, I want to show you how I use AI to give me superpowers.
But first, let's understand that there's nothing wrong with a personal assistant. And each one of us should have one. It's with today's technology that is possible. If you haven't tried to build your personal assistant, you should.
Now, I'm going to explain later on how it's done. But first of all, we need to understand the two paths. Okay? Because these are two different ways of using AI. The PA, uh, path, this personal assistant path, is about delegation, okay, and total automation. So the idea is I delegate this AI to do some work for me in the background so I can free myself to do something else. Uh, the AI is going to do some work autonomously behind the scenes for me and then give me, you know, the output. That is an AI that is doesn't do augmentation.
What is augmentation? Augmentation is this idea of an AI that makes you better in the sense not just that makes you work faster. Not just that makes you do, you know, higher-level quality output, but also makes you do things that you couldn't do before. Okay, that is the entry point of those superpowers that I'm talking about. So any idea to augment your abilities is what we should, uh, build.
Now, the first step of, uh, understanding this process is connected to our, our mind. In the sense, when you have a superpower, what is the new limit? Okay, the moment that you start using AI to augment what you can do, what is the limit of what I can do? Okay, of course, on some level, you can say, okay, it's connected to the technology. But the moment that you start seeing, first of all, the technology, you keep improving, improving. But what you start seeing is that your creativity, your imagination, your intuition of going higher and higher, you know, to pass the next level of your limit is really up to you.
And then you realize one more thing, and this is now we're going really deep, okay? That we, as humans, we set our own limits most of the time, okay? And you can, you can blame your parents and say, okay, my parents made me be like this, the school, the society, the environment where you live, your friends, okay, you can blame them. But in reality, we are in control.
So now, through AI, we realize that there is this level of, okay, we can pass what we used to be able to do. What shall we think now about the limits that we have? Because I saw myself passing those limits. Okay, AI proved me that I can pass those limits. Now I know I can reset what I thought were my limits, and I can leverage AI actually to achieve what I have in mind. Now, it's not just me alone, it's me plus an AI, okay, that's working together can really build something incredible.
Now, it's so, this is what I want to tell you. So you need to define your own new limits. That is the sovereignty that we have at the moment. We design, we decide what are those limits.
Now, the first step, I'm going to tell later, uh, what are my limits? Okay. I'm going to tell you how I use these superpowers. What are my new limits of what I'm, I'm expecting myself to do. But before we go there, I want to talk about if we want to do this, okay, we need to understand that we need to have sovereignty about our decisions. Okay, we are, if you have the superpower, if we want to be augmented, we need to be in control. So I'm not going to accept the AI that those corporations give it to me. Okay, it's unacceptable in the sense I want to design this.
And so the first step is to write down what do I want? How I want this AI to work? What do I want from this AI? And of course, I want, I got a bullet point here. Of course, I want an AI that will work 24/7 autonomously for me. Okay? I want actually a swarm of AI that is going to work for me.
Now, what is the next step? I want this AI to have total access, total control of my computer. So it can work with the software that I, that I own and know. And I want also to be able to control this through mobile phone. And this little, uh, thing that I want to share, if you haven't seen it, uh, today came out, from ChatGPT, the way to control Codex. So update your Codex, update your ChatGPT, and, uh, and have total control through your mobile phone. This is again something that is didn't come to a today's Codex, but we already had in the last few months the way to use your mobile phone, talk with your AI, and the AI would control your computer and build and do things, some work for you.
So these two elements are what I want, but nothing new. What is the next step? I want an AI that totally understands and knows me. Okay. To a different level, not to what this ChatGPT profiling is doing about myself. That is that is the basic. Okay. Knowing my CV, knowing where I go on holiday. This is not knowing me. Okay. Knowing me is another level. I'm going to again explain this later. But that is the, the thing that I need and want. An AI that totally understands who I am, my values, my work, uh, my, the way that I think, and so on.
But if I want something like this, I also want an AI that doesn't share my personal data or my business data with the corporations. Okay, that part needs to be private, needs to be mine. And then I don't want an AI that is locked me in. What do I mean by this? So at the moment, we are using, for example, ChatGPT, all those corporations, open, I keep saying ChatGPT and OpenAI, but it's not, they are not the only ones, okay? Uh, so Anthropic is another, Gemini is another, and so on, okay? All those corporations do, in a way or another, the same thing that is, they, they want to become, build a dependency from their tools. So you are locked in, meaning you can only do what you do now with their software, and it's become really harder for you to move away to a different app. That is what they want. And I don't want this.
I want the act, actually the opposite. I want the freedom to move between apps and models and so on. And then I also want one AI that I can trust. This is what we need to achieve, all of us. Okay? Because those AIs are built by those corporations. They work for those corporations. They don't work for us. And I don't know you, but I wouldn't trust any other work for someone else, you know, to, to actually be honest and clear with me, you know, to not having a second agenda, because they do have a second agenda. Okay, is the one to work for those corporations. So that is something that I want. I want an AI that I can trust. And then I want an AI that gets better over time.
Now, the list would carry on. Okay. But those elements, they give you an idea. Just to throw another thing inside, once I got to have a robot and so on, I want an AI, my AI to control the robots. Okay. If I have, for example, you know, the smart glasses and so on, I don't want the corporation to control them. I want my AI to control that part. Okay. So all the gadgets should be controlled by my system. That is the AI that I want. This is the, the thing that we should build together.
Now, going back to the building your personal assistant. Okay, let's have some easy wins. Okay, the easiest win that you can have today is if you have been using, for example, ChatGPT. Okay, so you're using ChatGPT, what's the easiest win here? Go and download Codex. Codex is an app that is included with your subscription with ChatGPT. Okay, it's nothing that you didn't need to pay more. But what is Codex? Codex is an advanced version of ChatGPT. Let's call it a pro version. It's an AI that is agentic, meaning it can control your computer, can write code, can do, build apps, can do much, much more. Much more powerful, has tools, skills, and so on. So it's capable of doing incredible work. And like I said, now you can also control it from your phone. So you can work from, um, without, say, your desktop. That is the easiest way you, you can do.
But what is the next step? Which is just a little bit more. Okay. Is using Hermes. Hermes is an open-source AI agent that can do what Codex does. Okay? It can be your personal assistant. That's the point. But there is a difference. Now you're not locked in anymore, in the sense the model can be replaced. So you don't need to use GPT or whatever. Okay? You can decide which model to use. So if tomorrow there is a better model, you can swap it. Uh, if, if tomorrow, whatever model becomes too expensive, you can use another one. If you have a powerful computer and not, doesn't need a super powerful computer, but if you have a, a decent computer, now you can also run your local model 24/7 without any cost. So that is what I'm talking about. Okay, that is the next step, and it's extremely easy to do it.
Erh, after that one, the next step is going towards a completely different direction, which is Resonant OS. Why I say completely different direction? This is, uh, Resonant OS is an operating system for AI. So within the Resonant OS OS, you can run Hermes, Codex, and all the other AI agents, all within the system. But there is a difference. Now, this system, you own it. So you not just have access to an AI that you know, give you the safety and level of trust, but now you have an AI that you own the asset, which is a completely different scenario. Okay, now you're part of something, you can co-build it, create for it, and so on. Uh, I'm not going to explain now in detail this Resonant OS, but I want to tell you one thing. If you are unsure how those things work and you're in trouble and say, ah, I don't know how to use, I don't know what's Codex, I don't know Hermes, you are in that kind of beginning scenario. Now, going back to building the PA, PA. So your personal assistant is, uh, how does it work? The point here is what you need to do. Each one of us is different. Okay. So the first step is to describe exactly in high detail your job. Okay. What you do, everything you write it down, and you work with the AI in writing it down. Okay. So you want maximum clarity and so on. Okay. So you go really in detail. What's happening if you don't go into details? That whatever you're building is going to be an approximation of reality. So that approximation means that sometimes it's not good enough. So you won't use it because the output won't be good enough to replace your work, or it's not, it's going to be kind of too hard to use, and therefore you're not going to use it properly or ever. So that kind of, uh, problem only happens because you were not clear enough about exactly what you do. So describe in a lot of details. Spend a lot of care about this. If you want, record your thoughts while you're working and add the notes and so on.
As soon as you have this document that is really well described with all the details, now you can give it to AI and say, analyze this and find what is possible to automate out of this work. So an AI that knows, okay, the technology, understands what is doable, what is not doable through the technology that we have today, will analyze this and say, look, there's going to be those few elements that can be automated. Now, the solution is, uh, sometimes is, is really simple. Okay, most of the personal assistant work, it's about managing your calendar, your email, and so on. Okay? So those are just skills and plugins within Codex, within Hermes, and so on. Okay? So you don't need to develop anything. It's really simple. You ask AI. Now AI knows you, what you do. You agree on what to try to automate, and therefore it's going to help you in installing and configuring those plugins and skills.
But now enter the idea of, okay, but what if those plugins and skills are not present for the work that I need to do? Now is the, the superpower part. Okay. So you say, okay, I'm not gonna accept that that is the limit. What I'm going to do, I'm gonna go over this limit. I'm gonna build it. Okay. And now some feel like, okay, I don't, I'm not a software engineer. You don't need to be. Okay. Now that the AI knows the kind of work you can say, okay, now there's no solution for this. Can we build it? Okay. AI will tell you yes, because they love to tell you yes. Okay. Yes. Yeah, we can do it. And the first thing you need to do is think in these terms. If a software already exists, use the software that already exists. If it's too expensive, you don't like it, it's not perfect, build it. Okay? But when it's about building, it doesn't mean that you need to build from scratch. There is already open-source software that is, uh, there, can be customized, and sometimes it's about getting a few elements that are open source, put it together, and then you have the final software without the need for you to write everything. Why this is a better scenario? Because the open-source software is already road-tested. Okay, people, there are thousands of people using it, there has been developed over years. So what you have is something that's really solid that you don't need to write yourself. You can just get it and use it, okay, for free. And therefore, AI will, you, you need to ask AI to search for open-source software that can do what you need, okay? Or part of what you need to do.
Now, in this way, you have built a custom system to resolve your problems. So now you can see that, okay, this is the beginning of having superpowers. Okay, I went through a deep analysis to see what were the obstacles that I could pass, and you managed to pass them. Okay, great. Now you pass them through technology, and you now need to set your own limits. Now you can build software. Okay. What is the next limit? What, what else can you do? How complex is the software that you can build? Okay. What can you do now that you know that basically you have almost no limits? Okay, that is the thing. That is what's happening when you have superpowers. So the idea of superpower, now you know that you have no limits, but you don't know. You need to set your own limits and say, what shall I do? What is the next element that I can pass? You know, and at the beginning, it's good to do easy wins. Okay. So meaning you need to gain the confidence that you actually can keep doing this, can use your superpower to do things that you couldn't do before.
And then the question here is, each one of us, okay, have, have access to these, uh, agents, okay, and they are giving us, uh, in some way, superpowers and the confidence to doing more and better. And my question started to, what I asked myself, if I have this, okay, and other people have this, what can we do together? So if, as a person, I can do almost anything, what can we do together as a community? And this is why I started the community. Let's discuss what we can do, and I came out with my own, uh, idea. Okay, I've been analyzing the the market and, and there is a massive opportunity. Okay. When you see what is happening inside the the market, okay, most people are going, those large corporations, going for the large amount of money where it's possible to do, basically to grab the majority of people. And then there are two sides to it, one on the left and one on the right. Okay. For the corporation's point of view, in reality, there is only one side left, which is the micro-niche. Okay? Because there are so little that doesn't make sense to invest money there. But for us, it might make sense. Okay. And we might care about them. Migration. So we care, we build. What they don't see is something that is on the other side. They don't see it because it's much bigger than them. Okay? And it's so big that they can't see it. And the reason why they can't see it is not just because it's big, but because their business model doesn't allow them to see something that is out there.
What is out there is my idea. Okay? And I'm going to share it because it's, this is the, the crazy thing. Okay? This is what is possible, uh, when you have superpowers. Now, what, what is the idea? Let's build something that is bigger than them. Okay? Something that is so huge, but is not owned by me. Okay? Is owned by the community. So we go back to this idea of, we, as a community, we have superpowers. We can build a new economic system, which is worldwide, which follows our own rules, which is not the rules of capturing other people, but to empower them.
So those corporations are building to replace humans. Okay. They want to replace humans with AI, with robots, any jobs. Okay. And then they try to push the also the second narrative, they say, yeah, yeah, yeah, we are going to replace any human job, but new work, new jobs will come out. Like, it's so funny because are you replacing humans or not? Okay, can this AI do everything or not? Because this idea of new jobs is just an illusion. It just, it just, it's not just, it's not, it's dishonest, uh, approach, okay? So we don't fear. You just need to find a better job. In reality, the moment that you have an AI that can do anything, will do anything. And the moment that they build, investing trillions on building this AI, they will succeed. What is not happening instead is build the alternative.
Now, what I'm seeing here, an opportunity being bigger than them. Okay? A big, bigger than them means we, as a community, we, as people, can build something, a new economic system, a new through a different philosophy, which is not the one of replacing, but the one to augment. Okay. So that is what we can do, build the, the world that we need, once they broke the system that we have. That's what we, we can do.
Now, I hope you feel this superpower, because we need people with superpowers that can believe they can achieve anything and join the community. We are already over 850 people now building this new reality. It takes time. It's a, it's, it's not easy. Okay. But what is amazing is that it's doable. Okay. We can do it. Now, there are people like me that see it. Okay. Inside the community, there's a lot of people that can clearly see that this is possible. Now, the question is, can you see it?
