How to get out of a rut quickly

When everything falls apart, my protocol is to do what I was doing prior to it falling apart.

Often times, I think when something breaks, we train ourselves that it's a really big deal by how we react to it. So, if someone breaks up with me and I change my entire life, then I train my nervous system, I train my body to believe that that's a huge event.

Whereas, if somebody breaks up with me and I just go on with my normal Tuesday, then it teaches me that it's okay. It's not a big deal. You're safe.

When breaks, it's a lot easier to return to baseline if you just go back to doing what you were doing before, not try to overcompensate, which often creates more problems.
